- 0:00Speaker 1: It's morea Mark Mark Simone on seven tenor well, it's Monday,
- 0:09Speaker 1: Thanksgiving week, it's Thursday's Thanksgiving and it looks like a
- 0:14Speaker 1: windy day. It may affect the parade. They may have
- 0:16Speaker 1: to lower the balloons. But we'll see a little rain
- 0:20Speaker 1: tomorrow maybe Wednesday morning, but Thursday, no rain. It just
- 0:24Speaker 1: could be very, very windy. So if you're going to
- 0:28Speaker 1: a big Thanksgiving dinner and you don't want to get
- 0:29Speaker 1: a fight about Trump and all that, we're going to
- 0:31Speaker 1: have some expert advice for you a little later this hour.
- 0:36Speaker 1: A great psychologist that doctor Keith Ablow, has done a
- 0:39Speaker 1: lot of work on Trump derangement syndrome. He's sort of
- 0:44Speaker 1: getting to the bottom of it psychologically. How bad is it?
- 0:46Speaker 1: What do you do with it? We'll get that coming up.
- 0:48Speaker 1: It's going to be a fascinating later this hour. I
- 0:52Speaker 1: notice President Trump did not go to marrow Lago this
- 0:55Speaker 1: past weekend, even though it was a cold, windy weekend
- 1:00Speaker 1: in Washington, d C. Normally you think he'd want to
- 1:03Speaker 1: get down to Florida, but he just didn't want to
- 1:06Speaker 1: go to mar Alago this weekend. There was nothing major
- 1:08Speaker 1: on the schedule, nothing that would keep him in Washington.
- 1:14Speaker 1: I think maybe he's just a little sick of those
- 1:16Speaker 1: old ladies at mar Alago that just chase him around
- 1:18Speaker 1: the dining room. You know, if he goes anywhere in
- 1:20Speaker 1: mar A Lago, the million old ladies you see in
- 1:23Speaker 1: the pictures chase him around. Now, Wi you wanw. I
- 1:27Speaker 1: just think he couldn't take it for the weekend. One
- 1:29Speaker 1: thing he did on Saturday, he went to Andrews Air
- 1:33Speaker 1: Force Base or whatever they call it now, Joint Base Andrews,
- 1:36Speaker 1: which clumsy name, but Andrews Air Force Base for years
- 1:41Speaker 1: had the best golf courses in the whole federal government system,
- 1:47Speaker 1: believe it or not. Andrew's Air Force Base, it's twenty
- 1:49Speaker 1: miles from the White House. It's in Maryland. Has always
- 1:54Speaker 1: had this nickname the President's Golf Course, because this facility
- 1:58Speaker 1: has two eighteen hole championship golf courses, the East and
- 2:02Speaker 1: the South courses, each designed as a par seventy two layout.
- 2:09Speaker 1: And apparently it's gotten run down. Like everything in the
- 2:12Speaker 1: federal government, it hasn't been kept up to speed. So
- 2:17Speaker 1: the president is going to have Jack Nicholas, the great golfer,
- 2:20Speaker 1: the legend. But Jack Nicholas runs a company that builds absolute, incredible,
- 2:25Speaker 1: state of the art golf courses. Is going to have
- 2:27Speaker 1: Nicholas and his company redo these golf courses so they'll
- 2:31Speaker 1: be as fine as any golf courses in America. Saturday,
- 2:35Speaker 1: during the day, he went out to Andrews, had Jack
- 2:37Speaker 1: Nicholson meet him there and they walked the course and
- 2:41Speaker 1: figured it out what they're going to do. Remember, Trump
- 2:43Speaker 1: has also built dozens and dozens and dozens of world
- 2:46Speaker 1: championship golf courses all over the world. Knows exactly what
- 2:50Speaker 1: he's doing. So these two experts, you know, you're really
- 2:53Speaker 1: lucky to have this guy in the White House. You
- 2:54Speaker 1: imagine Obama trying to rebuild a golf course. Can you
- 2:57Speaker 1: imagine Joe Biden trying to build anything. So you got
- 2:59Speaker 1: these two experts at building golf courses looking this thing over.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Trump's an absolute expert at building ballrooms construction. He's been
- 3:07Speaker 1: redoing bit by bit by bit parts of the White House.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Oh not just the ballroom, but there's a thing called
- 3:14Speaker 1: the Palm Court. When you come in to see the
- 3:17Speaker 1: President foreign leaders and you go through that door. The
- 3:20Speaker 1: first area you're in, it's a big lobby area it's
- 3:22Speaker 1: called the Palm Court, was just so old and decrepit.
- 3:27Speaker 1: President has rebuilt that completely. It had like a linoleum floor.
- 3:31Speaker 1: He put in the finest marble and he fixed the
- 3:33Speaker 1: whole thing up, paying for most of it himself or
- 3:36Speaker 1: with private donations. He's redone the residence. He's redone the
- 3:43Speaker 1: Oval Office. Obviously, some say overdone the Oval Office. But
- 3:48Speaker 1: and you know, when you're in the Oval Office, that
- 3:51Speaker 1: big Oval office, there's a doorway on the side. If
- 3:54Speaker 1: you go through that door, there's a hallway that goes
- 3:56Speaker 1: to the real office. What's something called the real President's office.
- 4:00Speaker 1: That little hallway goes down to a few rooms. One's
- 4:02Speaker 1: a private bathroom, one's a little den, one's a little
- 4:07Speaker 1: dining room, one's a little office. And that's where many
- 4:10Speaker 1: presidents would really work. Nixon didn't like the big Oval office,
- 4:13Speaker 1: so he'd go to a little office work out of there.
- 4:17Speaker 1: President turned it into kind of a TV room, and
- 4:19Speaker 1: he turned one room. He gets a lot of flak
- 4:22Speaker 1: for this. You'll see a lot of articles in the
- 4:23Speaker 1: left wing fake news, all the left wing sites. He
- 4:27Speaker 1: turned it into a gift shop. Why it's so tacky
- 4:30Speaker 1: it's a gift shop. And if you look at the pictures,
- 4:32Speaker 1: it's got shelves of gifts, Trump hats of all kinds,
- 4:36Speaker 1: Trump matchbooks, Trump cufflinks, trump watches, Trump pens, And they
- 4:42Speaker 1: make it sound like this is the cheesiest thing any
- 4:45Speaker 1: president has ever done. What is he thinking? A gift shop?
- 4:49Speaker 1: What an ego? A None of these articles point out
- 4:53Speaker 1: that every president did exactly the same thing, but not
- 4:58Speaker 1: on such a good scale. If you went to see
- 5:00Speaker 1: President Bush, if you went to see President Clinton, if
- 5:03Speaker 1: you went to visit any president, they would always at
- 5:07Speaker 1: the end walk you over to that thing where they
- 5:09Speaker 1: would give you gifts. There was always presidential cuff links,
- 5:13Speaker 1: presidential pen, oval, office matchbooks. I mean, I got a
- 5:18Speaker 1: big collection of this stuff. They'd give you this. It
- 5:21Speaker 1: was mostly the cufflinks. That was the big thing. That
- 5:23Speaker 1: the cuff links at the presidential seal. For a million years,
- 5:27Speaker 1: that was the main gift. But it's now twenty twenty
- 5:30Speaker 1: five and nobody wears cuff links anymore. You never see
- 5:33Speaker 1: French cuffs anywhere anymore, so why would you give cuflinks?
- 5:36Speaker 1: Nobody can use them anymore. So that's why Trump has
- 5:39Speaker 1: switched to hats and all that stuff. You know, they
- 5:42Speaker 1: still have the presidential cuplings, although I've never seen him
- 5:44Speaker 1: give anybody, and so pens are good, even a pen.
- 5:47Speaker 1: It's kind of out. Most people don't use pens that
- 5:49Speaker 1: much anymore. So he didn't go to mar A Lago
- 5:53Speaker 1: this week and stayed in Washington. They were working on
- 5:57Speaker 1: the Ukraine deal throughout the weekend. Now, the problem with
- 6:00Speaker 1: this Ukraine twenty eight point piece plan, whatever it is,
- 6:03Speaker 1: it favors Russia completely. It's very bad for Ukraine. But
- 6:07Speaker 1: this is round one. This is how Trump does if
- 6:11Speaker 1: you put out a plan that's way too far in
- 6:12Speaker 1: this direction, and then you make the other side negotiate back,
- 6:16Speaker 1: so he knows what he's doing. There's a deadline Thanksgiving Day.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Marco Rubio was asked about that.
- 6:22Speaker 2: The deadline is, we want to get this done as
- 6:23Speaker 2: soon as possible. Obviously, you know, we'd love it to
- 6:25Speaker 2: be Thursday. We'd love to be ultimately. The important point
- 6:28Speaker 2: today is that we have made substantial progress. We've really
- 6:31Speaker 2: moved forward. So I feel very optimistic that we're going
- 6:34Speaker 2: to get there in a very reasonable period of time,
- 6:36Speaker 2: very soon.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Okay, but the deal is so pro Russian. They think
- 6:39Speaker 1: Russia wrote it.
- 6:39Speaker 2: No matter what we came up with today. Obviously we
- 6:41Speaker 2: now have to take what we come up with. If
- 6:43Speaker 2: we can reach that agreement with the Ukrainian side to
- 6:45Speaker 2: the Russian side, that's another part of this equation. They
- 6:48Speaker 2: have to agree to it.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Yeah, so whatever you see in the agreement, it's not
- 6:52Speaker 1: going to be the agreement. This is just round one.
- 6:54Speaker 2: I think this is a very very meaningful I would say,
- 6:58Speaker 2: probably best meeting we've had so far in this entire process,
- 7:02Speaker 2: going back to when we first came into office in January.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Yeah, so apparently they're talking, they're making progress, they're getting
- 7:08Speaker 1: there in this deal. And again it's round what like
- 7:12Speaker 1: the greatest movie you've ever seen that you love, What
- 7:15Speaker 1: a brilliant script. If you went and looked at the
- 7:17Speaker 1: first draft of the first round of the script, it
- 7:20Speaker 1: looked terrible. So it gets rewritten and rewritten and rewritten.
- 7:23Speaker 1: That'll total happen until they get approval.
- 7:25Speaker 2: It's ultimately have to be signed off of by our presidents.
- 7:27Speaker 2: Although I feel very comfortable about that happening given the
- 7:31Speaker 2: progress we've made. And then obviously there's the Russian side
- 7:33Speaker 2: of the equation. But again we think we have some
- 7:36Speaker 2: pretty substantial insights over the last nine months into some
- 7:39Speaker 2: of the things that are really important to them.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Yeah. Now, remember they did the Gaza peace deal. That
- 7:43Speaker 1: took a lot of rounds, but they learned a lot
- 7:45Speaker 1: from that that they've applied here to this. Speaking of Gaza,
- 7:51Speaker 1: the president has had all the hostages he can visit
- 7:54Speaker 1: the White House a no number of these hostages telling
- 7:58Speaker 1: horror stories about torture. You know, well, the crazy left
- 8:03Speaker 1: out there protesting Israel, the absolute horrible villains in this
- 8:09Speaker 1: where the Hamas idiots with it wasn't just torture, many
- 8:14Speaker 1: of them telling stories of sexual abuse, men being abused
- 8:18Speaker 1: by men sexually. It's just the most ugly stuff imaginable.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Now you're probably saying, yeah, I didn't know that. Well,
- 8:26Speaker 1: it's because obviously the media looks the other way on it.
- 8:28Speaker 1: They make it look like Israel's the bad guy here
- 8:31Speaker 1: when Hamas has been the most awful thing on earth.
- 8:35Speaker 1: That everything they've done talking about war crimes, the worst
- 8:38Speaker 1: stuff in the world, and of course the media totally
- 8:41Speaker 1: ignoring it. This story about the sexual abuse of these prisoners,
- 8:45Speaker 1: go back look at all the Sunday shows. See if
- 8:47Speaker 1: you see a word about this there the hostage is
- 8:50Speaker 1: telling these stories. Not a word on these Sunday shows.
- 8:53Speaker 1: But they'll do a half hour on Marjorie Taylor Green.
- 8:56Speaker 1: So I don't know why I still I don't know
- 8:58Speaker 1: why I still watch these Sunday show They are so
- 9:01Speaker 1: corrupt and so fake and so awful. Hey, here in
- 9:06Speaker 1: New York, you got the governor's race coming up next year.
- 9:09Speaker 1: You got Elis Stephonic who looked like a shoe in
- 9:13Speaker 1: for the nomination the candidate, but then Bruce Blakeman jumps in.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Now Blakeman is the finest county executive in America. And
- 9:22Speaker 1: what is a county executive? Well, it's like a governor.
- 9:25Speaker 1: He's the governor of Nassau County and he's done a
- 9:27Speaker 1: brilliant job. Elise Stephonic, lover, she's brilliant, she's great, But
- 9:31Speaker 1: she's a legislator. Does she have any management experience? Because
- 9:36Speaker 1: you're a great legislator, does that necessarily mean you'd be
- 9:39Speaker 1: a great governor? I don't know. Kathy Hochel came out
- 9:42Speaker 1: of the legislator legislator les later who it was Couoma
- 9:50Speaker 1: that picked her as a legislator picked her to be
- 9:52Speaker 1: the lieutenant governor. Now, what you usually do if you're
- 9:55Speaker 1: a governor, you picked somebody who's not so great so
- 9:58Speaker 1: you don't get shown up. And then he picked her,
- 10:01Speaker 1: and of course she was just awful, and we got
- 10:04Speaker 1: stuck with her as governor. You can blame Cuomo for
- 10:07Speaker 1: picking her, but if you say that to him, he'll say, yeah,
- 10:10Speaker 1: but you guys re elected her. Well, he's got a
- 10:13Speaker 1: point there, so you'll have a legislator versus a former legislator. Now,
- 10:19Speaker 1: if Blakeman jumps in, he's the only guy with any
- 10:22Speaker 1: management experience, a great governor himself. And you know, Stephanic
- 10:28Speaker 1: is very smart, number one in her class at Harvard
- 10:31Speaker 1: and all that. But let's be honest, Blakeman is as
- 10:34Speaker 1: smart as anybody. So he's gonna be her equal, if
- 10:38Speaker 1: not better, on that score. Now, Stephanic is stronger upstate.
- 10:42Speaker 1: She's from upstate. She's an upstate type. Blakeman is a
- 10:45Speaker 1: more sophisticated, downstate New York City sort of a guy.
- 10:51Speaker 1: And half the votes for governor are here in New
- 10:53Speaker 1: York City. But can Blakeman play upstate? I don't know.
- 10:57Speaker 1: But he's a very smart guy. And he went up
- 10:59Speaker 1: there and did a were of Binghamton and all these
- 11:02Speaker 1: different areas, meeting with people, you know, going to the diner,
- 11:05Speaker 1: talking to people like a Bill Clinton kind of a tour.
- 11:09Speaker 1: And that's what you got to do. So he's weighing
- 11:11Speaker 1: it very carefully. He's a very smart guy, so he'll
- 11:15Speaker 1: check it out real carefully. He's got to make a
- 11:16Speaker 1: decision in the next couple of weeks on whether to run.
- 11:21Speaker 1: He was at the Binghamton diner last week. Now, this
- 11:25Speaker 1: could mean a primary, and a lot of people said, well,
- 11:29Speaker 1: this is not good. We don't want to have a fight.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Why should we have a prime? Well, you want a primary.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Even President Trump said, you know you're better off having
- 11:36Speaker 1: a primary. You don't want to have a coronation of
- 11:39Speaker 1: a candidate that never works. That's not a good idea.
- 11:42Speaker 1: You don't want to Kamala Harris sort of a coronation.
- 11:45Speaker 1: You want a primary. Somebody wins and earns the nomination.
- 11:49Speaker 1: That's the best way to do it. So we'll see
- 11:52Speaker 1: what happens. We'll take some calls in a minute. Eight
- 11:55Speaker 1: hundred three to two one zero seven ten is the number.
- 12:00Speaker 1: So I've had two, three, four Thanksgiving dinners already? Is
- 12:08Speaker 1: it five? I think we even got one down the
- 12:11Speaker 1: hall here today. You know, we have these buffets all
- 12:13Speaker 1: over the place down the hall that way Power one
- 12:15Speaker 1: oh five front of Charlemagne Studio is it's Golden Corral,
- 12:20Speaker 1: very good caterer, and they do these beautiful Thanksgiving dinners
- 12:24Speaker 1: and turkey and ham and stuffing and sweet potatoes in
- 12:28Speaker 1: every kind of pumpkin pie pee can I mean, the longest,
- 12:31Speaker 1: most elaborate Thanksgiving buffet. This is the fourth time they've
- 12:36Speaker 1: been here in the last ten days, so I've had
- 12:39Speaker 1: for these Thanksgiving dinners. I gotta be honest. Thursday, I
- 12:43Speaker 1: don't think I can eat any more turkey. I don't
- 12:45Speaker 1: want to see anymore Cranver. I've had enough. Hey, by
- 12:47Speaker 1: the way, there's a buffet down the other end of
- 12:49Speaker 1: the hall with it's delicious and what the food these scones. Well,
- 12:54Speaker 1: it's delicious. But I didn't Normally the restaurant has a
- 12:56Speaker 1: big sign or something, but I didn't see, and I said, uh,
- 13:01Speaker 1: it's right in front of lightl M. I said, who
- 13:03Speaker 1: did the buffet? It's phenomenon? He said, oh, Luftanza Airlines
- 13:08Speaker 1: I'm meeting airline food here, but it was great, So
- 13:11Speaker 1: I guess it's just American airlines US airlines that have
- 13:15Speaker 1: bad food. This Leftan's a pretty good food there. Anyway,
- 13:18Speaker 1: we'll take some calls. We'll get the Trump Arrangement syndrome.
- 13:20Speaker 1: We've got an expert to explain it to us, but
- 13:22Speaker 1: we'll take some calls. Next. Eight hundred three two one
- 13:25Speaker 1: zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three two
- 13:29Speaker 1: one zero seven ten
