- 0:28Hey everybody good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:31So today we are talking about the fact that it's never too
- 0:34late. So what do I mean by that?
- 0:36Well, as we age often times we start to believe and I'm air
- 0:41quoting as I say things about ourselves or believe things
- 0:45about what is age appropriate or we start to believe things that
- 0:50are just not true because someone else had that experience
- 0:54happen. You know when I started this
- 0:57farm with my husband and we made this decision that we were
- 1:00coming here, I had quite a few of my friends and clients I
- 1:04might add that said to me, why would you want to do this at
- 1:09your age? Why would you want to go and put
- 1:12all that hard work on your plate?
- 1:15I got to tell you the last thing that I was thinking about when
- 1:18we moved here, and we're talking about starting a farm and doing
- 1:24the things that we had always dreamed about doing.
- 1:29The last thing I ever thought about was the fact that my age
- 1:34had anything to do with it. I I just, I never think of it
- 1:37that way. The the last thing I think about
- 1:40in my head is age. Years ago, I can remember
- 1:45sitting at one of the events that I was working for Tony
- 1:48Robbins and a friend of mine was at the table with me and we were
- 1:53in between. Everyone was in the room
- 1:55listening to Tony work as magic. And she said to me, you know, my
- 2:01eyes all of a sudden I can't see.
- 2:03Well, you know, you get to that age.
- 2:05And I just started laughing and she said, what?
- 2:07You know, you get to an age and your eyes start working, stop
- 2:10working the way they should. And I said, you know, I don't, I
- 2:13don't buy into that. And she said, what do you mean?
- 2:16I said, yeah, I mean, OK, your eyes might stop working.
- 2:19Well, you might need glasses, but it could be because you're
- 2:22staring at a computer screen for, you know, 8 hours a day,
- 2:27and not just because you have eyes going bad because you're
- 2:30getting older. I mean, yeah, sure, it could be
- 2:32that. But why do we have to make it be
- 2:34the worst case scenario and say, oh, it's about aging and let
- 2:37alone accept it. And I just live by the premise
- 2:41that if I if I am not willing to accept those conditions and I
- 2:46focus on other things, that other things occur.
- 2:49I mean, I am in better shape now than I've ever been in my life.
- 2:55And I know that for a fact because I can walk more, I can
- 3:00lift more. I mean, work in a farm is not
- 3:02easy. Trust me, it's not easy.
- 3:04And being able to say, you know, that I can do 20,000 steps a
- 3:11day, every day, like it doesn't even bother me.
- 3:14There was a time when I was in my late 20s, early 30s, and I
- 3:19went to Amsterdam and I walked around and walked around and
- 3:22walked around. And I got to tell you, I I know
- 3:26I was completely beat up for just The Walking that I was
- 3:29doing. And I couldn't believe how out
- 3:31of shape I was. And I was supposed to be a
- 3:33healthy young person. So this whole thing about aging
- 3:38is the very first part of it is what are you accepting?
- 3:42I mean, what are you doing to yourself at this point in time?
- 3:44What are we doing to ourselves thinking that this is what we
- 3:48have to accept? It's never too late.
- 3:50Whatever you want to do. You know Louise Hay, who was
- 3:54just an amazing, If you've never known anything about Louise Hay,
- 3:58she was an amazing woman and she created a publishing company
- 4:01called Hay House. She published her own books and
- 4:03she brought in all other authors from the spiritual side of the
- 4:07world and the inspirational side of the world.
- 4:10And it's it's to this day it's, it's an amazing publishing house
- 4:15for just those types of things. Well, she didn't start that
- 4:19until she was in her late 50s. And then she turned it into
- 4:23something. And she lived the last 35 years
- 4:26of her life in astounding different ways than she did the
- 4:32front part of her life. And she was at the point when
- 4:35she started it where the people would have been giving up and
- 4:37she just started it off. I I think we really have to re
- 4:41examine our values of well, is it too late?
- 4:45Have I screwed up? I can't do something now.
- 4:48Well, why would I start it now? I mean, it is never too late if
- 4:52you have it in your heart and you're motivated to do it.
- 4:55It's never too late if you're willing to push yourself and
- 4:58say, hey, I want to think differently.
- 5:00I'm starting this whole thing with balance, right?
- 5:02Because I've never been a particularly coordinated person
- 5:07and it's always been a joke that I'm kind of clumsy.
- 5:09So now I'm starting all this, this balance, these balance
- 5:13exercises. So my son gets this little board
- 5:17and it sits on like this half balloon.
- 5:19I'm not even sure what it's called.
- 5:20I'm sure it has a name and I can't think of it right this
- 5:22moment. But you balance on it and it's
- 5:24hard as hell to do it. And at first I couldn't do it.
- 5:28But I'm like no, no, no, I'm going to do this.
- 5:30So I started balancing on it. Now I'm able to do not only
- 5:33balance on it, but I can do squats on it now.
- 5:36So I am like astoundingly proud of myself.
- 5:40I will stand on one foot and I will pick the other foot up and
- 5:43I won't hold my other foot and I'll just stand there like a
- 5:46Pelican for minutes at a time because it's good for your body,
- 5:51it's good for your brain to have to balance you that way and you
- 5:55fight it off. But there are other people who
- 5:56would say, OK, you shouldn't even be able to do that at this
- 5:59point in time. So if you have it in your heart
- 6:02and you really want to do something, do it.
- 6:05Don't go out passive. You know what is that line from
- 6:08the Def Def Leppard song? You it's it's better to burn out
- 6:12than fade away. IA 100% 100%.
- 6:16Believe that, and there's nothing worse than just fading
- 6:20away and making a decision that you're just going to play
- 6:22inadequately. And Nah, I'll just die without
- 6:27ever having put in the effort. Come on.
- 6:29Our life is a gift from the universe, from God, and what you
- 6:33do with it is a gift. Back.
- 6:34Play it fully. Push yourself.
- 6:36Do the things that you want to do.
- 6:39Don't matter when you think it is.
- 6:41Go out, be creative and do the things that you want to do with
- 6:43yourself because I promise you the rewards are huge.
- 6:47I hope this helps you guys and I hope that you don't take no from
- 6:50the answer for yourself, because nothing is more important than
- 6:54that piece of listening and saying if this is what I really
- 6:57want to do, it doesn't matter where I am in my life.
- 6:59I can make this happen. All right, my friends, I will
- 7:02see you tomorrow and I hope you have a very blessed day.
- 7:04Goodbye.
