Mega Edition: Ghislaine Maxwell And The Lawyers She Brought In To Defend Her (11/4/26) · The Vault: The Epstein Files

Speaker 1: We're going to talk a little bit more about the
0:03
Speaker 1: report that the prosecutors showed to the survivors on Thursday.
0:10
Speaker 1: And coming out of that report, we have another bit
0:13
Speaker 1: of information that is absolutely ridiculous. And it just goes
0:18
Speaker 1: to show that the Department of Justice itself is a shitshow.
0:23
Speaker 1: These people, they don't give a damn about anything. All
0:26
Speaker 1: they care about is increasing their power And pushing whatever
0:30
Speaker 1: sort of political narrative that their bosses inject in their
0:34
Speaker 1: stupid heads. We have a report that one of Jeffrey
0:40
Speaker 1: Epstein's attorneys dated one of the prosecutors in the trial.
0:47
Speaker 1: So how in the world can anyone look at this
0:50
Speaker 1: and think that these gals got a fair shake? The
0:55
Speaker 1: survivors got absolutely screwed. By the prosecutors in Florida... And
1:01
Speaker 1: the federal prosecutors as a whole... And now let's remember
1:07
Speaker 1: what we're talking about here... In the first case... We're
1:09
Speaker 1: talking about young high school girls... From Palm Beach mostly...
1:16
Speaker 1: And this scumbag... Was able to just walk and skate
1:20
Speaker 1: and get off... And you mean to tell me... That
1:24
Speaker 1: we're just supposed to ignore all of his connections... We're
1:28
Speaker 1: supposed to ignore all of the relationships that his lawyers
1:31
Speaker 1: have had. No pun intended. And we're just supposed to
1:35
Speaker 1: ignore the fact that he was so close to such
1:38
Speaker 1: a power broker like Bill Clinton. Now, remember, we're talking
1:41
Speaker 1: about 2008 still. Bill Clinton was still a big time
1:45
Speaker 1: power player on the scene. And Hillary Clinton was getting
1:48
Speaker 1: ready to have a job in Barack Obama's administration. These
1:53
Speaker 1: are very, very powerful people that were close to Jeffrey Epstein.
1:58
Speaker 1: And at every turn, he was able to game the system.
2:03
Speaker 1: And he was able to be afforded a certain set
2:07
Speaker 1: of rights and favors that normal people would never, ever, ever,
2:14
Speaker 1: ever be afforded if they were caught up in the
2:18
Speaker 1: same circumstances. And the new information here about one of
2:23
Speaker 1: his attorneys dating a prosecutor is just, it's just more
2:29
Speaker 1: Nonsense to add to the top of the nonsense mountain.
2:35
Speaker 1: How in the hell is a prosecutor who dated one
2:40
Speaker 1: of his attorneys not recused from the case? How is
2:44
Speaker 1: this person even still working on the case? And how
2:48
Speaker 1: does the Department of Justice find in their shitty ass
2:51
Speaker 1: internal review that just a couple of mistakes were made? Now,
2:56
Speaker 1: I don't think the Department of Justice expected the outcry
3:02
Speaker 1: over their information that they released, right? I don't think
3:06
Speaker 1: that they expected there to be this much of a blowback.
3:09
Speaker 1: But what they need to understand is people have had enough.
3:13
Speaker 1: And we're no longer going to just sit by silently
3:17
Speaker 1: while the Department of Justice drags its feet and does
3:21
Speaker 1: not pursue the people that need to be pursued. We'll
3:26
Speaker 1: be here every single day. We'll be talking about it.
3:29
Speaker 1: We'll be raising hell. And they're not going to be
3:32
Speaker 1: able to ignore us. One voice, sure. Millions of us, impossibility.
3:38
Speaker 1: So we just have to keep the pressure on. And
3:40
Speaker 1: we have to keep asking these kinds of questions. How
3:42
Speaker 1: the hell is a prosecutor who is supposedly going after
3:47
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein, how is he not recusing himself or being
3:50
Speaker 1: replaced by his superiors knowing that he had a relationship
3:54
Speaker 1: with one of Epstein's lawyers? It is ridiculous that this
4:03
Speaker 1: guy was not recused. All right, so our article today
4:08
Speaker 1: is from the New York Post. Headline, Epstein's attorney dated
4:12
Speaker 1: the prosecutor in trial where he got a sweetheart deal.
4:16
Speaker 1: I mean, how is that not looked upon by the
4:22
Speaker 1: Department of Justice as something that is just unbelievably... You
4:33
Speaker 1: can't have this guy as one of the prosecutors while
4:36
Speaker 1: at the same time dating one of Epstein's lawyers. What
4:39
Speaker 1: do you think? There's no conflict of interest there? How
4:42
Speaker 1: do we know that this dude isn't throwing sweetheart deals?
4:45
Speaker 1: Many of men have fallen under the spell of a
4:48
Speaker 1: beautiful woman. This article was posted, excuse me, authored by
4:55
Speaker 1: Paula Froelich. It was a sweetheart deal that has baffled
5:01
Speaker 1: the world. How in 2008, Jeffrey Epstein was allowed to
5:06
Speaker 1: plead guilty to a lesser felony prostitution charge, register as
5:10
Speaker 1: a sex offender and serve just 13 months in a
5:13
Speaker 1: county jail where he could come and go during the day.
5:17
Speaker 1: Despite several underage survivors testifying, he raped them. So right
5:23
Speaker 1: off the bat, you say to yourself, what in the hell?
5:26
Speaker 1: This guy scored this sweetheart deal. while at the same
5:29
Speaker 1: time one of the prosecutors was dating one of his attorneys?
5:35
Speaker 1: Right off the bat, that looks bad. And that's before
5:38
Speaker 1: you even add in all of the other stuff, right?
5:42
Speaker 1: So again, all these little nuggets, all these little pieces
5:45
Speaker 1: of information, all of these little puzzle pieces, when they're
5:50
Speaker 1: fitted together, they start to draw a much darker picture
5:55
Speaker 1: than if we were just looking at these things as one-offs, right? Look,
6:00
Speaker 1: one-offs happen in cases, right? Every now and then there's
6:04
Speaker 1: a coincidence. But this case is littered with all sorts
6:09
Speaker 1: of shit that is just completely and utterly backwards. The
6:16
Speaker 1: Department of Justice has been almost complicit in all of this,
6:23
Speaker 1: in my opinion. And there needs to be some for
6:27
Speaker 1: people who were involved. I'm very strong in that belief.
6:35
Speaker 1: It's now been revealed that one of Epstein's defense attorneys
6:38
Speaker 1: previously dated one of the top prosecutors on the deal. Honestly,
6:44
Speaker 1: I don't even know what to say about that right now.
6:47
Speaker 1: It's just so... Sad, I guess I should say, that
6:54
Speaker 1: the Department of Justice has sat on this information for
6:56
Speaker 1: 10 years. They've known this stuff for 10 years and
6:58
Speaker 1: it's just coming out now. They're an embarrassment and Bill
7:04
Speaker 1: Barr is the biggest embarrassment of all. I know a
7:07
Speaker 1: lot of you out there listening are, you know, under
7:10
Speaker 1: the impression that Bill Barr is pursuing people on behalf
7:15
Speaker 1: of justice and that is not the case. Bill Barr
7:18
Speaker 1: is a political hack. He's a retread he's been in
7:23
Speaker 1: washington dc forever he is exactly what trump was talking
7:27
Speaker 1: about when he talked about swamp monsters but yet somehow
7:31
Speaker 1: trump brings bar in it's all a shell game i
7:34
Speaker 1: don't trust any of these people the last politician i
7:37
Speaker 1: trusted was ron paul Lillian Sanchez was a member of
7:42
Speaker 1: Epstein's defense team in 2008 when he was facing a
7:46
Speaker 1: potential federal indictment and life imprisonment for sexually abusing dozens
7:50
Speaker 1: of girls between 1999 and 2007. I mean, I know
7:57
Speaker 1: it's an uncomfortable question to ask and all, but did
8:01
Speaker 1: this relationship have any sway on what Mr. Menchel did?
8:05
Speaker 1: Did it have any... Was there any pressure by Ms.
8:11
Speaker 1: Sanchez to get a favorable deal for her client? Look,
8:16
Speaker 1: we know that stuff like that occurs. We know that
8:22
Speaker 1: people like Menchel who get caught up in a relationship
8:26
Speaker 1: with a beautiful young woman can easily be manipulated. Now, again,
8:33
Speaker 1: I'm not saying that occurred. I don't know. I wasn't there.
8:35
Speaker 1: I wasn't hanging out with them while they were talking about,
8:38
Speaker 1: you know, whatever it is they're talking about. But I
8:43
Speaker 1: think that when you look at everything that went on
8:46
Speaker 1: in this case, there are so many unanswered questions that
8:50
Speaker 1: we can't leave any avenue unexplored. Sanchez had also dated
8:56
Speaker 1: Matthew Menchel, one of the prosecutors who worked on the
8:58
Speaker 1: plea deal. So... This Miss Sanchez has quite the bit
9:06
Speaker 1: of dating going on in her realm of work. Me, personally, yeah,
9:13
Speaker 1: I don't think it's a good idea to be dipping
9:16
Speaker 1: the old pen in company ink, if you get my drift.
9:19
Speaker 1: And that's in any sort of situation. Never mind a
9:24
Speaker 1: job like this where you're dealing with serious, serious matters.
9:29
Speaker 1: We're dealing with Jeffrey Epstein, for Lord's sake. And this lady,
9:33
Speaker 1: who is one of his attorneys, is having an affair
9:37
Speaker 1: with a prosecutor and someone involved in the plea deal.
9:41
Speaker 1: How many people is this lady having an affair with?
9:43
Speaker 1: Is it all a coincidence? Or was she targeting these
9:45
Speaker 1: people to date? The romance came to light after the
9:51
Speaker 1: Justice Department Office of Professional Responsibility, OPR, issued a report
9:56
Speaker 1: this week slamming the Florida prosecutors for poor judgment in
10:00
Speaker 1: the pedo pervs deal poor judgment is absolutely a understatement
10:07
Speaker 1: okay poor judgment this was dereliction of duty I got
10:14
Speaker 1: your poor judgment as Tony Soprano would say I got
10:16
Speaker 1: your poor judgment right here in my ass I mean,
10:20
Speaker 1: are you kidding me right now? Sanchez and Manchel dated
10:24
Speaker 1: in 2003 when they were both employed at the Southern
10:28
Speaker 1: District of Florida's U.S. Attorney's Office. They later broke up
10:32
Speaker 1: but never disclosed the relationship while both worked on the
10:35
Speaker 1: Epstein deal. Bam, right there. That alone should get the
10:39
Speaker 1: deal thrown out, folks. I'm telling you right now, with
10:41
Speaker 1: all of this stuff that's coming out, the 11th Circuit Court, uh,
10:45
Speaker 1: Circuit Appeals Court is going to have a field day
10:48
Speaker 1: with this shit. I said earlier that I thought it
10:52
Speaker 1: was a better than good chance that the non-prosecution agreement
10:56
Speaker 1: gets overturned. I'm accelerating that. I'm saying it's a very
11:00
Speaker 1: good chance at this point because the 11th Circuit Court
11:05
Speaker 1: of Appeals is going to see all of this information too.
11:07
Speaker 1: They're going to have everything in front of them and
11:09
Speaker 1: they're going to make their decision based on everything that
11:13
Speaker 1: has been presented to them and everything that could be
11:16
Speaker 1: found by their clerks or whatever the hell they have
11:19
Speaker 1: going on. But the point is, this is really bad
11:23
Speaker 1: for the prosecutor's office. And while they might not face
11:26
Speaker 1: sanctions by the Department of Justice, I have a funny
11:29
Speaker 1: feeling the 11th Circuit is going to come down hard
11:32
Speaker 1: with an iron fist on these people. The report says
11:38
Speaker 1: Manchel had left the office before the Epstein case was resolved.
11:43
Speaker 1: Manchel told Justice Department investigators during the probe that his
11:46
Speaker 1: relationship with Sanchez... Had no impact on his handling of
11:49
Speaker 1: the case. Oh yeah, I'm sure. Had no handling at all.
11:53
Speaker 1: You're just, you could never fall to the charms of
11:56
Speaker 1: a woman, huh, Mr. Menchel? You're just better than the
11:59
Speaker 1: rest of us, obviously. Give me a break. We all
12:03
Speaker 1: know that Jeffrey Epstein was running a honey trap. This
12:07
Speaker 1: could have just been another portion of that honey trap.
12:09
Speaker 1: Another way to pierce the veil and get somebody on
12:12
Speaker 1: the inside. What, where we don't think that Epstein and
12:18
Speaker 1: his people are that devious? Come on, folks. This is
12:20
Speaker 1: exactly what they do. This is in their wheelhouse. So Mr.
12:24
Speaker 1: Menchel here, he should be brought under oath and he
12:27
Speaker 1: should have to talk about what occurred because I have
12:31
Speaker 1: a sneaking suspicion that he has not been too forthright
12:35
Speaker 1: about his tryst with Ms. Sanchez here. Letting a well-connected
12:42
Speaker 1: billionaire get away with child rape and international sex trafficking
12:46
Speaker 1: isn't poor judgment. It is a disgusting failure, Senator Ben
12:50
Speaker 1: Sasse said in a statement released on Thursday. Americans ought
12:54
Speaker 1: to be enraged. Epstein should be rotting behind bars today.
12:58
Speaker 1: But the Just Us department failed Epstein survivors at every turn. Well, Mr. Sasse,
13:03
Speaker 1: I'm here to report to you, sir. The Americans are enraged.
13:07
Speaker 1: And guess what? You're in a position to do something
13:10
Speaker 1: about it. So do you want to become a hero
13:13
Speaker 1: in this story? Do you want to become somebody that
13:15
Speaker 1: both sides of the aisle can look up to like
13:17
Speaker 1: the old days when we actually had a political system
13:20
Speaker 1: that worked? If that's who you want to be, Mr. Sass,
13:24
Speaker 1: now's the time. Step forward, demand hearings and demand that
13:31
Speaker 1: these people be brought to justice. Epstein was found hanging
13:38
Speaker 1: in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan
13:41
Speaker 1: last August while awaiting trial on new sex trafficking charges.
13:45
Speaker 1: You see how the Post doesn't say, oh, he committed suicide.
13:48
Speaker 1: And if you notice, certain outlets don't come out and say, well,
13:51
Speaker 1: he committed suicide. They'll say found hanging in his cell
13:56
Speaker 1: or found dead in his cell. And I think that
13:58
Speaker 1: that is good quality journalism because at the end of
14:01
Speaker 1: the day, we don't know what happened in that cell.
14:05
Speaker 1: So to assert that he definitely committed hung himself or
14:09
Speaker 1: to assert that he was definitely murdered we just don't
14:12
Speaker 1: have all of those details yet but it is something
14:14
Speaker 1: that needs to be discussed obviously now i think that
14:20
Speaker 1: ben sass getting sassy about all of this is a
14:23
Speaker 1: definite good thing it's a step in the right direction
14:26
Speaker 1: but they need to be more forceful about it. The Congress,
14:30
Speaker 1: the Senate, they need to come out and they need
14:32
Speaker 1: to take a stand against this shit and let people
14:35
Speaker 1: like Epstein and those who were running this operation behind
14:38
Speaker 1: the scenes, those who were working with Epstein and those
14:42
Speaker 1: who were financing Epstein, that this shit is never going
14:46
Speaker 1: to happen again in this country. And if you took
14:49
Speaker 1: part in this, if you enabled this, if you were
14:53
Speaker 1: involved with Jeffrey Epstein financially... then you are in the
14:58
Speaker 1: crosshairs as well. That is a message that needs to
15:02
Speaker 1: be sent, it needs to be sent strongly, and it
15:05
Speaker 1: needs to be sent now. Ghislaine Maxwell has added another
15:14
Speaker 1: high-profile attorney to her defense team in hopes of finding
15:18
Speaker 1: a way to wiggle off of this hook. When you
15:22
Speaker 1: have the sort of money that she has... And when
15:26
Speaker 1: you have the sort of access to the best attorneys, well,
15:32
Speaker 1: this is what happens. You end up adding a ton
15:35
Speaker 1: of attorneys to take your case in hopes that all
15:38
Speaker 1: of these great attorneys together can come up with some
15:42
Speaker 1: bullshit loophole to figure a way out for you. My
15:47
Speaker 1: question is, why does she still have access to her funds?
15:50
Speaker 1: Who is paying for her lawyers? Shouldn't all of her
15:53
Speaker 1: money be frozen? You would think that every dime of
15:57
Speaker 1: hers would be frozen at this point, so I wonder
16:00
Speaker 1: how she is paying for all of these high-profile lawyers.
16:04
Speaker 1: The lawyer that she added tonight, or recently, is quite
16:08
Speaker 1: the doozy. And that lawyer is Bobby Sternheim. If you
16:14
Speaker 1: follow geopolitical matters, then you know that she was the
16:18
Speaker 1: lawyer who defended Khalid Al-Fawaz, who ended up being sentenced
16:24
Speaker 1: to life for the Kenya bombing of the U.S. Embassy
16:28
Speaker 1: in 1998. She defended him, and that's where she got
16:34
Speaker 1: her claim to fame, I guess you should say. But
16:37
Speaker 1: she is a very well thought of lawyer, highly respected
16:41
Speaker 1: in her field, and she is good at what she
16:43
Speaker 1: does according to all reports. But I don't think it matters, folks.
16:49
Speaker 1: At this point, with the evidence that's going to be
16:52
Speaker 1: presented against Ghislaine Maxwell at the trial, and I'm not
16:56
Speaker 1: just talking about the evidence from these four charges that
17:00
Speaker 1: we're looking at here, I mean these first charges that
17:03
Speaker 1: we're looking at here, I mean afterwards, there's going to
17:08
Speaker 1: be a lot more that comes out and it's going
17:11
Speaker 1: to be real tough for Ghislaine Maxwell and her team
17:16
Speaker 1: of lawyers to defend her from the onslaught of truth.
17:21
Speaker 1: You see, because there's only so many ways you can
17:24
Speaker 1: wiggle out of something, right? When the truth is dropped
17:27
Speaker 1: in the lap of a jury, there's no way that
17:31
Speaker 1: they're going to be able to defend Ghislaine Maxwell and
17:35
Speaker 1: her behavior. If the circumstantial evidence is telling the story,
17:41
Speaker 1: this lady has zero chance of walking of beating this,
17:46
Speaker 1: of finding a loophole, of having a technicality pop up
17:49
Speaker 1: that she can exploit. And I think that the prosecution
17:54
Speaker 1: most certainly has their foot on her throat and they
17:59
Speaker 1: are pumping her behind the scenes. Now, I don't know
18:03
Speaker 1: if she's cooperating, if she's signed a proffer. I don't
18:06
Speaker 1: know any of that. I don't have that information. I'm
18:09
Speaker 1: just going on what we've been basing the whole entire
18:12
Speaker 1: narrative on up to this point, right? What is likely
18:17
Speaker 1: to happen now that she's in custody? A. Is she
18:20
Speaker 1: going to give up other people to try and save herself?
18:23
Speaker 1: Or B. She's going to be closed-lipped and she's going
18:26
Speaker 1: to take her punishment like a G. Yeah, I'm going
18:30
Speaker 1: to say she's going to take the Tekashi 6ix9ine route, folks.
18:35
Speaker 1: The Henry Hill route. They don't make them like they
18:39
Speaker 1: used to back in the day, right? And especially people
18:42
Speaker 1: like Ghislaine Maxwell. everybody's turning state evidence these days when
18:45
Speaker 1: they get caught up in a criminal conspiracy. Never mind
18:49
Speaker 1: a quote-unquote socialite. Please. So I know that there's definitely
18:55
Speaker 1: more going on behind the scenes, and we've seen that
18:58
Speaker 1: from the articles that we've read recently about how the
19:01
Speaker 1: investigation is still active, how it's expanding, and how that
19:06
Speaker 1: these indictments that we see for Maxwell are just a
19:10
Speaker 1: part of an overall larger investigation. So there's definitely more
19:16
Speaker 1: coming down the pipe. And these people like Ghislaine Maxwell,
19:20
Speaker 1: they're going to need all the help they can get.
19:22
Speaker 1: So if I was Sarah Kellen Vickers or Leslie Groff
19:27
Speaker 1: or Adriana Ross or Nadia Marchenkova or Indyke or Khan,
19:32
Speaker 1: I'd be looking for my own high profile lawyers right now.
19:35
Speaker 1: That's what I'd be doing. Because guess what? The shit
19:39
Speaker 1: is about to roll downhill, folks. All right, let's check
19:44
Speaker 1: out our article tonight. This is from the, today, from
19:46
Speaker 1: the New York Post. uh author lee brown headline ghislaine
19:51
Speaker 1: maxwell hires lawyer who defended osama bin laden's henchmen and
19:55
Speaker 1: again i don't hold that against the lawyer you i
19:59
Speaker 1: think i've been pretty clear how i feel about that
20:02
Speaker 1: everybody in this country in the world in my opinion
20:05
Speaker 1: is entitled to to the most competent law help that
20:09
Speaker 1: they can find if they get themselves into a jam.
20:12
Speaker 1: My beef is not with the lawyer who takes on
20:14
Speaker 1: the client who is accused of heinous shit, right? That's
20:18
Speaker 1: how our system works. Equal justice under the law. So
20:23
Speaker 1: my beef isn't because of her clients, right? I'll never
20:27
Speaker 1: malign a lawyer for that. It's the way the system
20:31
Speaker 1: works and that's just the way it is. Now, what
20:34
Speaker 1: I will have a problem with is the behind-the-scenes finessing
20:38
Speaker 1: of people like Dershowitz reaching out, using your connections to
20:42
Speaker 1: try and finesse the situation into your favor. That, my friends,
20:46
Speaker 1: is country club bullshit, and I am not a fan.
20:51
Speaker 1: But there's no hint that that is the way Sternheim
20:55
Speaker 1: conducts herself, right? That's not what I'm saying at all.
20:58
Speaker 1: But she is a pretty high-profile lawyer, and if you
21:01
Speaker 1: have the money to hire somebody like this... this is
21:04
Speaker 1: definitely somebody that I'd probably bring in too. Accused Jeffrey
21:09
Speaker 1: Epstein Madam, co-conspirator, fellow child abuser, general all-around scumbag and
21:14
Speaker 1: bipedal serpent, Ghislaine Maxwell has hired a super lawyer who
21:19
Speaker 1: once represented one of Osama bin Laden's henchmen, legal papers show.
21:24
Speaker 1: Bobby Sternheim filed papers Monday in New York's Southern District
21:28
Speaker 1: Court to note that she hereby appears as counsel for
21:31
Speaker 1: defendant Ghislaine Maxwell and in her sex trafficking case. So
21:36
Speaker 1: she's an official part of the defense, right? Filed the papers,
21:39
Speaker 1: everything's locked and loaded with the courts, and she is
21:43
Speaker 1: now on the case. So Alice and Mo and company
21:47
Speaker 1: have a new foe to deal with. Somebody that is
21:51
Speaker 1: serious about their business, right? I think that Sternheim... is
21:55
Speaker 1: probably a bit more of a competent lawyer than the
21:58
Speaker 1: other two, Everdell and Cohen even. And that's not a
22:01
Speaker 1: slight on either of them. They're both very competent attorneys.
22:04
Speaker 1: But Sternheim has been around for quite some time and
22:08
Speaker 1: she has done some serious work. So she's a pretty
22:12
Speaker 1: stiff test, right? But again, there is only so much
22:16
Speaker 1: an attorney can do with a shitbag client like Maxwell.
22:21
Speaker 1: There's only so many tricks in the book, folks. Because
22:24
Speaker 1: guess what? The truth is a very, very heavy burden.
22:30
Speaker 1: And it is resting squarely above Maxwell's head and about
22:35
Speaker 1: to drop. Sternheim's law firm, Fasulo, Braverman, and DiMaggio, called
22:42
Speaker 1: her a recognized leader in the local and national criminal
22:45
Speaker 1: defense bar for litigating difficult and complex cases. Well, I
22:50
Speaker 1: think this fits the bill of that, right? Difficult and complex. Ha!
22:55
Speaker 1: Most assuredly. I don't think it gets more complex than this, right?
22:59
Speaker 1: Especially considering they don't even know as a defense what
23:03
Speaker 1: the prosecution has. The prosecution's holding all the cards. The
23:07
Speaker 1: prosecution's the house. And the prosecution likes to win. She
23:14
Speaker 1: is the first and still only woman to get the
23:17
Speaker 1: New York Criminal Bar Association's Award for Excellence in the Profession.
23:21
Speaker 1: The firm boasts on her online bio. Again, big time rewards, right?
23:25
Speaker 1: Big time awards, big time, a big time lawyer. There's
23:29
Speaker 1: a lot of lawyers out there like this. Very powerful,
23:33
Speaker 1: great in the courtroom, and the type of lawyer that
23:36
Speaker 1: you really, really, really, really want on the case. Especially
23:40
Speaker 1: considering what she has been involved with, okay? And this
23:45
Speaker 1: next paragraph will tell the whole story, folks. Bobby has
23:49
Speaker 1: tried international organized crime and... racketeering conspiracies, international terrorism offenses,
23:58
Speaker 1: international telemarketing fraud, capital murder, and interstate transport of pornographic media.
24:05
Speaker 1: Her bio noted saying she also holds top secret SCI clearance.
24:10
Speaker 1: So this is a lady that has some clearance, but
24:14
Speaker 1: the most telling factoid. And again, what do I always
24:17
Speaker 1: say about that little nugget of gold? Well, This is
24:22
Speaker 1: another lawyer who specializes in racketeering conspiracies, folks. Rico, just
24:28
Speaker 1: like Everdell. You don't think they're preparing for something bigger?
24:31
Speaker 1: You don't think they're preparing for a big-time Rico smash-ola?
24:37
Speaker 1: Because it's coming. You know, like when the Incredible Hulk
24:40
Speaker 1: starts going ham and starts yelling about Hulk smash? That's
24:43
Speaker 1: what's about to happen. Rico smash for all of these clowns.
24:49
Speaker 1: Her most high-profile case, however, remains representing for bin Laden's
24:55
Speaker 1: henchman Khalid al-Fawaz in his 2015 trial over the 1998
25:01
Speaker 1: bombings of two U.S. embassies in Africa that killed 224 people.
25:07
Speaker 1: And for those of you who might be too young
25:10
Speaker 1: to remember that, that was all pre-9-11, right? This was
25:14
Speaker 1: all leading up to 9-11 when nobody was taking al-Qaeda seriously.
25:19
Speaker 1: when nobody was really taking international terrorism seriously within the
25:25
Speaker 1: United States borders. It was not something that was thought about.
25:30
Speaker 1: The thought process was, not in America, that's something that
25:33
Speaker 1: happens in Israel. That doesn't happen in America. And the
25:38
Speaker 1: American authorities became lax. And, well, I won't even get
25:42
Speaker 1: into it, but that whole entire situation that led up
25:46
Speaker 1: to 9-11... This was one of the flashes for us, right?
25:52
Speaker 1: A flash into the future. When they attacked this embassy,
25:55
Speaker 1: it was, all right, game on. And we see the
26:00
Speaker 1: result of what happened after that. And that is her
26:04
Speaker 1: most high profile case up to this point was defending
26:07
Speaker 1: Khalid Al-Fawaz. And I'm shocked that he only got life
26:10
Speaker 1: in prison and not a death sentence for that sort
26:14
Speaker 1: of crime. It was heinous. If you're not familiar with
26:17
Speaker 1: what the blast site looked like, jump onto the internet
26:20
Speaker 1: at some point and check it out. It was absolutely insane.
26:25
Speaker 1: Then U.S. Attorney Preet Bahadur, God, I cannot stand that guy, sorry.
26:30
Speaker 1: I don't mean to make a joke of his last name,
26:32
Speaker 1: but I just do not like him, said at the
26:34
Speaker 1: time that Al-Fawaz played a critical role for Al-Qaeda in
26:38
Speaker 1: its murderous conspiracy against America. Sternheim said she was disappointed
26:43
Speaker 1: when her client, Bin Laden's spokesman in London was convicted
26:47
Speaker 1: on four counts of conspiracy and sentenced to life in prison. Well, yeah,
26:51
Speaker 1: of course, a lawyer is always bummed when their client
26:54
Speaker 1: gets convicted, right? A lawyer, their job is to make
26:58
Speaker 1: sure that their clients don't go to prison, that they
27:00
Speaker 1: don't go to jail. So it hurts their profile if
27:03
Speaker 1: their clients get hemmed up. But when you're a high
27:06
Speaker 1: profile lawyer like Sternheim, it's a little different, right? Because
27:10
Speaker 1: the stakes are much higher. The stakes were life and death,
27:13
Speaker 1: and at the very least, she was able to make
27:16
Speaker 1: sure that he only got life in prison. Sternheim also
27:23
Speaker 1: represented other terrorists, including Ming-Kwang Pham, who admitted a plot
27:28
Speaker 1: to blow up London's Heathrow Airport and was sentenced to
27:31
Speaker 1: 40 years in prison in 2016. I have no idea
27:35
Speaker 1: who that person is. She is listed as a super lawyer,
27:39
Speaker 1: one of those recognized by their peers for their outstanding
27:42
Speaker 1: work and commitment to the spirit of the legal profession,
27:45
Speaker 1: the site said. So, I guess the other scumballs... in
27:49
Speaker 1: a so-called polite society got together and gave her the
27:52
Speaker 1: nod of approval. Well, maybe we'll call that when, when
27:55
Speaker 1: you're a super lawyer, maybe we'll call that the Dershowitz
27:58
Speaker 1: nod of approval, right? Because I'm sure Mr. I kept
28:01
Speaker 1: my underpants on has to sign off on that, right?
28:04
Speaker 1: I mean, according to him, he's the greatest lawyer of
28:06
Speaker 1: all time. He is the lawyer to be all lawyers.
28:09
Speaker 1: He is the chief of chiefs, the greatest person to
28:13
Speaker 1: ever litigate a case ever. Just ask him. Their knowledge
28:18
Speaker 1: of the law, professional work ethic, and advocacy on behalf
28:22
Speaker 1: of their clients allow them to stand out among other
28:24
Speaker 1: attorneys in the field, super lawyers said. Sternheim is not
28:29
Speaker 1: Maxwell's only high-profile lawyer in the team battling to get
28:33
Speaker 1: her off charges of conspiring with Epstein to sexually abuse
28:37
Speaker 1: young women. No, she has several powerful lawyers, right? Cohen,
28:42
Speaker 1: who handled the hearing, is a powerful lawyer in his
28:46
Speaker 1: own right. and Everdell is very highly thought of in
28:49
Speaker 1: his profession. An ex-prosecutor from the SDNY, a man that
28:54
Speaker 1: knows how to navigate himself a RICO case for sure.
28:57
Speaker 1: And if you think that Ghislaine Maxwell is not thinking
29:01
Speaker 1: the long game, if you think her law team isn't
29:04
Speaker 1: giving us a few hints here by bringing in more
29:08
Speaker 1: skilled lawyers who are prepared to deal with a large-ranging
29:13
Speaker 1: RICO investigation... then you're just not paying attention, folks, because
29:17
Speaker 1: that is exactly what's going on from where I'm sitting.
29:20
Speaker 1: This case is growing by the minute. This case is
29:24
Speaker 1: expanding by the minute. All that's left to see is
29:27
Speaker 1: how far the prosecutors go. All that's left to see
29:31
Speaker 1: is if the prosecutors and the Department of Justice are
29:35
Speaker 1: going to do their job, because I can't see a
29:39
Speaker 1: bigger slam dunk for the office of the SDNY than
29:42
Speaker 1: the one that's sitting right here in front of us.
29:46
Speaker 1: Just from circumstantial evidence alone, it's enough to have a
29:51
Speaker 1: grand jury indict these people. And with all of the
29:55
Speaker 1: sealed indictments that we are not aware of yet, the
29:59
Speaker 1: people who are mentioned in those sealed indictments and the
30:03
Speaker 1: people who are going to be held responsible, well, I
30:06
Speaker 1: have a funny feeling that it is not going to
30:09
Speaker 1: be much longer before we see some more arrests made here.
30:13
Speaker 1: I think that the way the case looks, the way
30:15
Speaker 1: it's growing, the way it's expanding, and the fact that
30:18
Speaker 1: Ghislaine has brought in this other lawyer, Ms. Bobby Sternheim
30:22
Speaker 1: at this point, I think it's a tell and it's
30:24
Speaker 1: foreshadowing into the future of what her and her legal
30:29
Speaker 1: team expect to come down the pipe at any moment.
30:34
Speaker 1: The question is, just how far is the prosecution going
30:39
Speaker 1: to go? And are we finally going to get Rico out?
30:45
Speaker 1: If you'd like to contact me, you can do that
30:47
Speaker 1: at BobbyCapucci at ProtonMail.com. That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I at ProtonMail.com. You can
30:56
Speaker 1: also find me on Twitter at B-O-B-B-Y underscore C-A-P-U-C-C-I. All
31:02
Speaker 1: of the links that go with this episode can be
31:04
Speaker 1: found in the description box. And like I said, of
31:08
Speaker 1: the Ghislaine Maxwell trial with the prosecution arresting its case
31:13
Speaker 1: last Friday. on the back of some really powerful testimony
31:18
Speaker 1: given by Annie Farmer. Now, we heard from four accusers
31:24
Speaker 1: overall during the first two weeks, and the testimony given
31:30
Speaker 1: by those accusers has been very, very powerful and very strong,
31:36
Speaker 1: in my opinion. And when you look at what they
31:39
Speaker 1: had to say, the stories that they told, and you
31:42
Speaker 1: look at the charges that have been brought against Maxwell,
31:48
Speaker 1: it's very obvious that these testimonies are supporting the accusations
31:54
Speaker 1: that have been made. Now, is it going to be
31:58
Speaker 1: enough to convince the jury? I would hope so. I
32:02
Speaker 1: would think so. But we'll have to see this week
32:05
Speaker 1: what the defense plans on doing. Now, there was a
32:09
Speaker 1: point in time when there was discussion that the defense
32:14
Speaker 1: wasn't even going to call any witnesses whatsoever. And now
32:19
Speaker 1: it's looking like they plan on calling 35 defense witnesses.
32:25
Speaker 1: So Maxwell's defense gets underway starting Thursday. And according to
32:33
Speaker 1: her lawyers, they expect 35 witnesses. So... Thursday, Friday, both
32:39
Speaker 1: of those days, you could almost guarantee that there's going
32:43
Speaker 1: to be witnesses on the stand. But I would think
32:46
Speaker 1: that it's going to bleed into the next week as well,
32:50
Speaker 1: considering we're talking about 35 people that have to come
32:53
Speaker 1: up and give their testimony. So it's going to be
32:56
Speaker 1: pretty interesting to see how quickly these witnesses are moved
33:02
Speaker 1: through as far as the defense goes. Now, It could
33:08
Speaker 1: end up being a drawn out process, right? Who knows
33:11
Speaker 1: how long it's going to take for each one of
33:13
Speaker 1: these witnesses on the stand. And in fact, we don't
33:16
Speaker 1: even know who these witnesses are. So it's going to
33:21
Speaker 1: be interesting to see who they trot out to try
33:24
Speaker 1: and drum up some support for Ghislaine Maxwell's side of
33:28
Speaker 1: the story. And honestly, I don't know who the hell
33:33
Speaker 1: is going to come out as a character witness for
33:35
Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell. But there are reports that several people are
33:41
Speaker 1: going to give testimony, but anonymously in fear that their
33:48
Speaker 1: lives would be ruined for supporting Ghislaine Maxwell. So that's
33:53
Speaker 1: what's on the agenda as far as the defense and
33:56
Speaker 1: what they're going to cook up as far as with
33:59
Speaker 1: these witnesses. Well, that's anyone's guess. Now, one thing we
34:04
Speaker 1: have learned from the defense so far is that they
34:08
Speaker 1: are not afraid to stray into scumbag waters. Now, I
34:15
Speaker 1: get it. It's their job, right? They got to do
34:18
Speaker 1: whatever they possibly can to try and get their scumbag
34:20
Speaker 1: client off. I understand. That's how it works. I also
34:24
Speaker 1: understand that it's scumbaggery. I also understand that it's gross. Now,
34:32
Speaker 1: That being said, it's up to the prosecution to stamp
34:36
Speaker 1: that shit out. It's up to the prosecution to make
34:39
Speaker 1: sure that they point out that it's scumbaggery, that it's gross.
34:45
Speaker 1: And then it's up for the jury to decide what
34:48
Speaker 1: they think. Now, so far, the defense of Ghislaine Maxwell,
34:53
Speaker 1: they haven't brought any receipts to the table. They've hinged
34:58
Speaker 1: their whole entire bet on the fact that they can
35:01
Speaker 1: destroy the credibility of these accusers. And while they've done
35:07
Speaker 1: the best job that they can to destroy the credibility
35:10
Speaker 1: of these accusers, I keep referring back to the fact
35:14
Speaker 1: that these people weren't drug addicts before they met Maxwell
35:17
Speaker 1: and Epstein. They were just kids. They became drug addicts
35:22
Speaker 1: to deal with the trauma that was put upon them
35:25
Speaker 1: by Maxwell and Epstein. So when they go and attack
35:29
Speaker 1: these accusers' credibility and talk about the drug issues and
35:33
Speaker 1: stuff like that, I just shake my head. I know
35:36
Speaker 1: if I was sitting in a Jerry box, I would
35:38
Speaker 1: be thinking, well, wait a minute, there were kids when
35:41
Speaker 1: you abused them or when they first came in contact
35:43
Speaker 1: with you. And now all of a sudden, after those events,
35:47
Speaker 1: they have these drug problems. How about causation and effect?
35:54
Speaker 1: And as a juror, I know for sure that I'd
35:56
Speaker 1: be sitting there thinking that to myself, like, wait a
35:58
Speaker 1: minute here, hold on. So you're going to attack the
36:00
Speaker 1: credibility of these people who are accusing you, yet they
36:04
Speaker 1: were children, 13, 14, 15 years old when they were
36:08
Speaker 1: in your clutches. And then they develop drug issues and
36:11
Speaker 1: you hammer it home on them again about the drug
36:14
Speaker 1: issue that quite possibly was caused by the trauma inflicted
36:19
Speaker 1: upon them by your client. Yeah, that's a winning strategy.
36:24
Speaker 1: So I don't really know what else they could possibly
36:29
Speaker 1: have up their sleeve. Because you would think that if
36:31
Speaker 1: they had real, hard, solid evidence, we would have heard
36:36
Speaker 1: or seen something about it by now. All they really have, though,
36:41
Speaker 1: is to try and crush the credibility of these accusers.
36:45
Speaker 1: And as much as they've tried to do that, as
36:48
Speaker 1: hard as they have went... I don't think they've done
36:52
Speaker 1: a good enough job as far as the defense goes
36:55
Speaker 1: to sway a juror or jurors to their side of
36:59
Speaker 1: the story. I think they're going to have to do
37:01
Speaker 1: that with evidence. And their chance is going to be
37:05
Speaker 1: this week. 35 defense witnesses. Let's see what they bring
37:10
Speaker 1: to the table. But you better bring receipts. We don't
37:14
Speaker 1: want any nonsense. I'm not interested in more demeaning of
37:18
Speaker 1: people's character. Let's see the evidence. You got witnesses. You
37:22
Speaker 1: got DNA evidence. What do you guys have that proves
37:25
Speaker 1: to us that Ghislaine Maxwell is innocent of these charges?
37:29
Speaker 1: Because so far, all we have is powerful testimony from
37:32
Speaker 1: accusers and a lot of maybe so's from the defense.
37:39
Speaker 1: So that might work if you're looking to gaslight some people,
37:43
Speaker 1: but usually that kind of thing falls flat in the
37:48
Speaker 1: court of law. So I'm not sure what the defense
37:54
Speaker 1: is thinking here, and I'm certainly not sure what they
37:57
Speaker 1: have planned for this week, but one thing you can
37:59
Speaker 1: be certain of, they definitely have something up their sleeve.
38:03
Speaker 1: What it's going to be, if it's going to be impactful,
38:06
Speaker 1: I don't know. But when you're dealing with people like
38:08
Speaker 1: Christian Everdell and Bobby Sternum and Laura Menninger and Puglicia
38:14
Speaker 1: and the rest of them, you know that they're going
38:17
Speaker 1: to have at least one more scumbaggery trick up their
38:20
Speaker 1: sleeve come this week. Now, the 35 witnesses, I found
38:27
Speaker 1: that to be pretty interesting considering the fact that, like
38:32
Speaker 1: I said earlier, we were being told that they might
38:35
Speaker 1: not bring any witnesses up. Now the question has to
38:38
Speaker 1: be asked, is Maxwell herself going to take the stand?
38:41
Speaker 1: You want to talk about fireworks. Now, I highly doubt
38:46
Speaker 1: that they're going to have Maxwell take the stand, but boy,
38:49
Speaker 1: would that be something. My guess is that she would
38:53
Speaker 1: end up looking like Prince Andrew on that stand when
38:56
Speaker 1: Prince Andrew was doing the interview with Emily Maitlis, where
39:00
Speaker 1: he got absolutely rocked by her. Now imagine a real
39:03
Speaker 1: interrogator asking those questions. somebody who does it for a living.
39:09
Speaker 1: So I don't know if the defense is going to
39:14
Speaker 1: test those waters. And my opinion is, and remember, just
39:18
Speaker 1: my opinion, if we do see Ghislaine Maxwell on the stand,
39:21
Speaker 1: it's a Hail Mary attempt by the defense to try
39:25
Speaker 1: and get their client off the hook here. We have
39:29
Speaker 1: an article this morning that goes into this a little bit.
39:32
Speaker 1: It's from Bloomberg Quint, and it talks about Maxwell's plans
39:38
Speaker 1: for the week and how she plans to call 35
39:41
Speaker 1: defense witnesses. This is an article that was authored by
39:46
Speaker 1: Tina Davis and And we're going to dive into it
39:48
Speaker 1: real quick and take a quick look at what she
39:51
Speaker 1: has to say is coming up for the week ahead.
39:56
Speaker 1: Glenn Maxwell's defense team has listed 35 witnesses that they
40:01
Speaker 1: plan to call in her defense according to a court filing.
40:05
Speaker 1: The identities of the witnesses is not public, but prosecutors
40:09
Speaker 1: revealed the number in a letter to the judge on Sunday.
40:14
Speaker 1: So again, 35 defense witnesses. 35. I don't know how
40:23
Speaker 1: they think that that's going to happen in two days,
40:25
Speaker 1: but again, I'm not some kind of court reporter or
40:28
Speaker 1: anything like that. Maybe this is the usual process to
40:31
Speaker 1: roll through these witnesses quick as hell. But if there's
40:35
Speaker 1: 35 witnesses and they want to get done by, say,
40:38
Speaker 1: Friday like they talked about, it's going to be, what,
40:41
Speaker 1: 15 witnesses a day roughly? 17 witnesses a day? That's
40:45
Speaker 1: a lot. So I don't know, maybe this bleeds over
40:49
Speaker 1: into the next week, right? As the defense continues to
40:53
Speaker 1: formulate their strategy, it might end up being a little
40:58
Speaker 1: bit longer. Three of the defense witnesses have asked to
41:03
Speaker 1: testify under their first names or a pseudonym, but the
41:06
Speaker 1: prosecutors oppose this. Maxwell's lawyer, Bobby Sternum, said in a
41:10
Speaker 1: filing late Sunday. Maxwell's four accusers were allowed to testify
41:15
Speaker 1: against her over the first two weeks of the trial
41:18
Speaker 1: with pseudonyms or using only their first names. anonymously come
41:28
Speaker 1: here and testify, if that's something that the court usually does,
41:32
Speaker 1: and they're not making any special request favors for Maxwell's team,
41:36
Speaker 1: then I don't see a problem with that, I guess.
41:39
Speaker 1: I mean, again, look, if there's a procedure that's already
41:42
Speaker 1: on the books for this sort of thing to happen,
41:45
Speaker 1: then that's something that any defendant should have access to, right?
41:50
Speaker 1: I'm not in the business of vigilante justice or people
41:55
Speaker 1: not having access to all of their rights. I think
42:00
Speaker 1: that all of us, even the most monstrous amongst us,
42:03
Speaker 1: deserve those sorts of rights if we get into trouble.
42:07
Speaker 1: I think that it shows what sort of society we
42:10
Speaker 1: live in when we treat the most disgusting amongst us as,
42:14
Speaker 1: you know, human beings for the most part as far
42:17
Speaker 1: as their punishment. But I don't... I'm not one of
42:22
Speaker 1: these people who is... pitchforks and torches at somebody's house
42:28
Speaker 1: for vigilante justice type shit. So if this is something
42:31
Speaker 1: that is done usually for witnesses at a trial as
42:35
Speaker 1: far as the defense goes when it's a touchy subject,
42:38
Speaker 1: then fine. If they can work it out and the
42:41
Speaker 1: judge okays it and the prosecution's cool with it, whatever.
42:46
Speaker 1: Because really, at the end of the day, it's going
42:49
Speaker 1: to come down to the testimony, right? And what are
42:52
Speaker 1: these people... What could you possibly say... To bolster Ghislaine
42:58
Speaker 1: Maxwell as a human being. Oh, well, we were at
43:01
Speaker 1: the caviar party together. And, you know, she gave me
43:05
Speaker 1: some extra caviar. I don't... There's really nothing you're going
43:09
Speaker 1: to be able to say about this lady that's going
43:11
Speaker 1: to bolster her image. So... The court's ruling on this
43:16
Speaker 1: issue may impact the willingness of these witnesses to testify,
43:20
Speaker 1: thereby compromising Ms. Maxwell's right to present her defense and
43:24
Speaker 1: may affect the witness order, Sternum wrote to the judge. Now,
43:28
Speaker 1: also what this could do is set it up for
43:30
Speaker 1: some kind of retrial later on or basis for appeal.
43:35
Speaker 1: So that's another reason why I think they should just
43:38
Speaker 1: go ahead and let these people testify, even if it's anonymously,
43:43
Speaker 1: these three people. Because I don't want Maxwell to have
43:47
Speaker 1: any wiggle room when all of this is said and
43:49
Speaker 1: done about how it wasn't done correctly or people were
43:54
Speaker 1: cutting corners and the prosecution didn't file this piece of
43:58
Speaker 1: paperwork or we didn't get to hear from this witness.
44:01
Speaker 1: I don't want to hear any of that. I want
44:03
Speaker 1: this lady to go to prison and I want that
44:06
Speaker 1: to be the end of her, right? None of this
44:09
Speaker 1: drawn out nonsense how the court didn't do things correctly
44:13
Speaker 1: and end up with like a Bill Cosby situation. prosecutors
44:16
Speaker 1: had complained to the judge that the defense didn't tell
44:18
Speaker 1: them the order in which the witnesses will be called.
44:22
Speaker 1: Sternum wrote that the defense has provided a tentative order,
44:25
Speaker 1: but that it is still trying to make travel arrangements
44:27
Speaker 1: for defense witnesses, many of whom are coming from locations
44:30
Speaker 1: out of the district and abroad. So I guess Ghislaine
44:35
Speaker 1: Maxwell has a train full of people that are showing
44:39
Speaker 1: up from abroad and outside of the district to the
44:42
Speaker 1: tune of 35 witnesses. Now, I'm very interested to see
44:47
Speaker 1: this witness list. I'm very, very interested to see who
44:50
Speaker 1: they have dug up to come out and play witness
44:53
Speaker 1: for Ghislaine Maxwell. Because, boy, seems like everybody's running from
44:59
Speaker 1: the hills when it comes to Ghislaine Maxwell and their
45:02
Speaker 1: relationship with her previously. And it doesn't seem to be
45:08
Speaker 1: any different now, right? Have you heard anybody coming out
45:10
Speaker 1: in the press to her defense? Not really, not for
45:13
Speaker 1: the most part. When she was arrested, you had like
45:17
Speaker 1: Geraldo Rivera talking about how she should be bailed out.
45:22
Speaker 1: A couple of other stunads. But for the most part,
45:26
Speaker 1: nobody has been here championing Ghislaine Maxwell's cause. So it's
45:32
Speaker 1: interesting to me that they're going to have 35 witnesses. Now,
45:36
Speaker 1: how many of those witnesses are going to be paid
45:38
Speaker 1: for professionals? That's another question. That's on my mind. I'm
45:42
Speaker 1: guessing a lot of them, or at least a good
45:45
Speaker 1: number of them, are going to be professionals in certain areas, forensics,
45:50
Speaker 1: memory experts, like we know they're talking about calling, you know,
45:55
Speaker 1: a bunch of different things in that vein as well,
45:59
Speaker 1: as far as testimony. So they're going to get underway
46:04
Speaker 1: on Thursday and get this whole entire thing kicked off
46:07
Speaker 1: from the defense perspective. And it's going to be very,
46:10
Speaker 1: very interesting to see what they come up with. Also,
46:14
Speaker 1: before we go today, I wanted to touch on another
46:17
Speaker 1: article from Reuters. And this article was authored by Luke Cohen.
46:24
Speaker 1: And it talks about how the accusers place Ghislaine Maxwell
46:28
Speaker 1: at the center of Epstein's abuse. And it's definitely something
46:31
Speaker 1: we've touched on here as well. The picture that they
46:34
Speaker 1: have painted during the past two weeks by the survivors,
46:37
Speaker 1: by the accusers giving the testimony, has been damning. It
46:41
Speaker 1: has placed Ghislaine Maxwell at the center of the nexus.
46:44
Speaker 1: It has made Ghislaine Maxwell not just a bystander or
46:49
Speaker 1: somebody who's along for the ride. It's put her directly
46:52
Speaker 1: in a leadership role where, according to these abusers, she's
46:55
Speaker 1: also engaged in the abuse herself as well as the
46:59
Speaker 1: grooming and as well as the whole entire setting up
47:04
Speaker 1: the abuse. So I think that the testimony from the
47:09
Speaker 1: accusers has been absolutely strong and very damning for Ghislaine Maxwell.
47:16
Speaker 1: And it has been certainly... foundationally, the building blocks have
47:22
Speaker 1: been set. That Maxwell was there, she paid out money,
47:25
Speaker 1: she was involved making phone calls, doing introductions, all of it. So,
47:33
Speaker 1: when it comes to putting Ghislaine Maxwell at the quote-unquote
47:37
Speaker 1: scene of the crime, she seems to be there quite
47:40
Speaker 1: a bit when all of this abuse takes place. So
47:44
Speaker 1: let's take a look at this article from Reuters real quick,
47:47
Speaker 1: and let's see what they have to say. Two weeks
47:50
Speaker 1: of emotional explicit testimony at Ghislaine Maxwell's sex abuse trial
47:54
Speaker 1: from four women who said the British socialite, co-conspirator, general
47:59
Speaker 1: all-around scuzzbag, bipedal serpent, you mean, groomed them as teenagers
48:03
Speaker 1: for deceased financier, pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, could largely undercut the
48:08
Speaker 1: defense's argument that prosecutors are using Maxwell as a scapegoat,
48:13
Speaker 1: legal experts said. Yeah, pretty much what I said too. Look,
48:17
Speaker 1: you don't need to be a legal expert to understand
48:20
Speaker 1: that Maxwell's at the scene of the crime here over
48:23
Speaker 1: and over and over again. You don't have to be
48:26
Speaker 1: a legal expert here to understand that the stories that
48:29
Speaker 1: these girls are telling are heartbreaking and all of them
48:34
Speaker 1: involve Ghislaine Maxwell and some form of abuser grooming. The
48:41
Speaker 1: women who say they met Maxwell at different times and
48:43
Speaker 1: places as far-flung as Florida, New Mexico, and London, all
48:47
Speaker 1: portrayed her as central to the sexual encounters they had
48:51
Speaker 1: with Epstein. And there's no doubt about it. And remember,
48:55
Speaker 1: this is just a small handful of people who have
48:58
Speaker 1: accused Maxwell and Epstein of this behavior. A very small scope.
49:04
Speaker 1: So when you think about all of it, the whole
49:07
Speaker 1: entire overall operation that they were running, It is obscene,
49:12
Speaker 1: obscene that it was able to, A, go on for
49:17
Speaker 1: as long as it did, and B, that so many
49:20
Speaker 1: people are still shielded by the npa for the crimes
49:24
Speaker 1: that they obviously committed maxwell's attorneys did rattle three of
49:30
Speaker 1: the four accusers during cross uh during tough cross-examination and
49:34
Speaker 1: scored two favorable rulings from Judge Allison Nathan, who said
49:38
Speaker 1: that two of the four women, prosecutors called victims, were
49:42
Speaker 1: old enough to consent at the time of the alleged encounters.
49:45
Speaker 1: But as the defense prepares to mount its case, persuading
49:49
Speaker 1: jurors that Maxwell was not involved will be difficult, some
49:52
Speaker 1: experts said, 100%. And let's remember here, okay? I don't
49:57
Speaker 1: care if you're 14 or 45. If you're being trafficked
50:02
Speaker 1: for sexual purposes... That's not okay. The fact that she
50:09
Speaker 1: was 16 in New Mexico... is absurd to me that
50:15
Speaker 1: we would sit here and act like, well, that legal
50:17
Speaker 1: age of consent, there was no consent there. It wasn't
50:20
Speaker 1: a 19-year-old guy with a 16-year-old girlfriend. We're talking about
50:24
Speaker 1: two super powerful people who brought Annie over state lines
50:29
Speaker 1: to New Mexico with the explicit purpose in mind of
50:33
Speaker 1: abusing her because they knew the age of consent in
50:35
Speaker 1: Mexico was 16. Now chew on that for a minute.
50:42
Speaker 1: Tell me it doesn't make you want to vomit. Because
50:44
Speaker 1: that's exactly what they did. Go back to the episode
50:48
Speaker 1: I uploaded of Jeffrey Epstein chose New Mexico for a reason.
50:53
Speaker 1: And it's all right there. The government has done a
50:58
Speaker 1: good job keeping the jury focused on Maxwell, said Sarah Krisoff,
51:02
Speaker 1: a partner at law firm Dave Pitney and former federal prosecutor.
51:07
Speaker 1: The government will argue that the fact that each victim
51:09
Speaker 1: has a different story and didn't exaggerate Maxwell's role in
51:13
Speaker 1: that story demonstrates the credibility of those accounts. Prosecutors who
51:18
Speaker 1: say Maxwell recruited and groomed four teenage girls for Epstein
51:21
Speaker 1: from 1994 to 2004 rested their case on Friday in
51:26
Speaker 1: Manhattan Federal Court. And look, it was, again, powerful testimony.
51:36
Speaker 1: The article goes on to say, when you skip down
51:38
Speaker 1: a little bit, the remarkably similar accounts of the accusers
51:42
Speaker 1: could help undermine that argument. Experts said, And they're talking
51:47
Speaker 1: about her being a convenient stand-in for Epstein. And again,
51:52
Speaker 1: these girls didn't know each other. They didn't all show
51:54
Speaker 1: up together and concoct this story. So you're telling me
51:57
Speaker 1: all of these girls, they're all connected with telekinesis and
52:00
Speaker 1: they figured out the story like that? Here's an idea.
52:04
Speaker 1: Here's something to chew on for Maxwell and her team.
52:08
Speaker 1: How about this? How about it's all true? How about
52:10
Speaker 1: all of this really happened and Ghislaine Maxwell was a
52:13
Speaker 1: central part to all of it? Massages and Maxwell's central
52:20
Speaker 1: role in them came up repeatedly during the women's testimony.
52:23
Speaker 1: Now we all know that massages for Jeffrey Epstein and
52:26
Speaker 1: his crew was shorthand for sex. That's what they call them, massages. Oh,
52:32
Speaker 1: Jeffrey needs to have three massages a day. Jane, who
52:38
Speaker 1: said she was 14 in 1994 when Epstein first abused her,
52:42
Speaker 1: testified that Maxwell would sometimes participate when massages later escalated
52:47
Speaker 1: into sexual encounters. Prosecutors said the women's testimony provided them
52:52
Speaker 1: with details which are crucial to prove charges that Maxwell
52:55
Speaker 1: enticed the girls to travel across state lines and in
52:59
Speaker 1: some cases paid them for sexual activity. And here's where
53:02
Speaker 1: I don't get the fact that there's not the Mann
53:04
Speaker 1: Act slapped on her. Why isn't she being smashed with
53:07
Speaker 1: the Mann Act? That's what it was created for, for
53:11
Speaker 1: state lines, for sex trafficking over state lines, but yet
53:16
Speaker 1: she's not blasted with it. It's absurd. Just like her
53:20
Speaker 1: not being hit with Rico is absurd. So the article
53:25
Speaker 1: just goes on to talk a little bit more about
53:28
Speaker 1: some of the things that occurred over the last couple
53:31
Speaker 1: of weeks, and we're not going to rehash all of that.
53:33
Speaker 1: I just wanted to touch on a few points in
53:35
Speaker 1: this article. And it's going to be interesting to see
53:39
Speaker 1: where the defense goes, folks. And as we sit here
53:43
Speaker 1: on Monday, waiting for Thursday to roll around, one thing's
53:47
Speaker 1: certainly obvious. that the defense is going to actually have
53:52
Speaker 1: to mount some sort of tangible defense. That just attacking
53:57
Speaker 1: the credibility of these accusers is not going to be enough.
54:02
Speaker 1: So now the question remains, what exactly does the defense
54:08
Speaker 1: have left up its sleeve? If you'd like to contact me,
