- 0:05Speaker 1: Back to the Craig Way Show. Connect with Craig through
- 0:08Speaker 1: the text line by text Team Texas to age one
- 0:11Speaker 1: five three zero, followed by your message. Standard message and
- 0:14Speaker 1: data rates may apply. It is Thursday. Think about it
- 0:26Speaker 1: for a moment.
- 0:27Speaker 2: You know, the holidays can discombobulate or in the case
- 0:30Speaker 2: of Cameron, the flu can discombobulate you a little bit
- 0:33Speaker 2: and have you bedridden a little bit. Did your dad
- 0:37Speaker 2: like bring you like the soup and medicine and stuff
- 0:39Speaker 2: like that.
- 0:40Speaker 3: No, I think I asked him for some food and
- 0:42Speaker 3: he didn't respond to me.
- 0:43Speaker 1: So that was that.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Wow, And the two of you sat together the football again.
- 0:49Speaker 3: I know, I know, but I do have. I did
- 0:51Speaker 3: have an uncle that went and got me chicken into
- 0:53Speaker 3: soup from Whole Foods.
- 0:54Speaker 2: I met that uncle, right, I met that uncle. He
- 0:56Speaker 2: was at your place one time when I I had
- 0:59Speaker 2: like three around. Okay, there was one that was really cool.
- 1:01Speaker 2: I really liked about it, probably the cool one.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Okay, but.
- 1:08Speaker 2: The game above Sport Bowl, that's one in Detroit. Right now,
- 1:12Speaker 2: they are in the third quarter and uh, Toledo leeds
- 1:16Speaker 2: Pittsburgh twenty to twelve. And I had a chance. Looked
- 1:19Speaker 2: like they were going to go in and really expand
- 1:20Speaker 2: the lead, and they got stopped on the fourth and
- 1:23Speaker 2: one inside the thirty yard line, So that pit with
- 1:25Speaker 2: the ball and trying to drive down eight twenty to twelve.
- 1:28Speaker 2: That's ten minutes goo third quarter. Okay, I wanted to
- 1:30Speaker 2: go over the clinching scenarios here for the NFL playoffs. So,
- 1:37Speaker 2: as I mentioned in the AFC, Kansas City has already
- 1:41Speaker 2: wrapped up home field advantage number one seed throughout the
- 1:44Speaker 2: course of the playoffs, which has Patrick Mahomes excited. He
- 1:47Speaker 2: wants a bye week baby, that's the way he's saying it.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Remember they used at the store bye bye baby. If
- 1:54Speaker 2: you had went to Bye bye baby during a bye
- 1:56Speaker 2: week baby, that anyway, you don't keep up with toy
- 2:02Speaker 2: and small children and stuff like that. I mean, you
- 2:07Speaker 2: hadn't been around a toy. So anyway, they've clinched the
- 2:16Speaker 2: one seat. The Chargers play the Patriots in Foxboro on Saturday.
- 2:23Speaker 2: There's a triple header, by the way, on Saturday, NFL
- 2:27Speaker 2: Network triple header. For those of you who are grumbling
- 2:29Speaker 2: about the streaming double header yesterday on Netflix, I get it,
- 2:33Speaker 2: and all season long last couple of years, with Prime Video.
- 2:38Speaker 2: I get that as well. They're back to just NFL
- 2:41Speaker 2: network stuff. So if your cable or satellite provider hads that,
- 2:45Speaker 2: then you're okay. There's a triple header tomorrow Chargers and
- 2:48Speaker 2: Patriots or Saturday, Chargers and Patriots is the first game,
- 2:53Speaker 2: and the Chargers can get a playoff spot just by
- 2:56Speaker 2: winning or having the Colts lose to the Giants on
- 3:01Speaker 2: Sunday and Miami losing at Cleveland. If those two things happen,
- 3:05Speaker 2: that the Chargers are in, but they control their own destiny.
- 3:07Speaker 2: They win, they're in. Broncos win and they're in. They
- 3:13Speaker 2: play the Bengals. That's the middle game of the three
- 3:16Speaker 2: on Saturday NFL Network telecast. That's in Cincinnati. If the
- 3:20Speaker 2: Broncos win, they're in. It's as simple as that. If
- 3:24Speaker 2: they lose, they're not eliminated. But that's the only way
- 3:26Speaker 2: they can get in right now is to win. Now
- 3:29Speaker 2: here are the Week seven, and by the way, the
- 3:31Speaker 2: teams that have already clinched spots, the Chiefs, the Bills,
- 3:35Speaker 2: the Steelers. The Bills of course winners of the AFC.
- 3:38Speaker 2: East Baltimore by virtue of its win yesterday, now has
- 3:44Speaker 2: a game edge on Pittsburgh and they need Baltimore. Pittsburgh
- 3:50Speaker 2: holds the tie break on Baltimore, but they would need
- 3:52Speaker 2: to win next week and have Baltimore lose in order
- 3:55Speaker 2: to win the division. Otherwise, Pittsburgh's gonna have to settle
- 3:58Speaker 2: for a wild card. The Texans have clinched their division,
- 4:02Speaker 2: even though it didn't look good for them yesterday. They
- 4:04Speaker 2: have wrapped up the AFC South. Now in the NFC,
- 4:09Speaker 2: these teams have already clinched the playoff spots Lions, Eagles, Vikings,
- 4:13Speaker 2: and Packers. Four of the seven spots have already been
- 4:16Speaker 2: wrapped up, but only the Eagles have clinched a division.
- 4:23Speaker 2: The Lions and Vikings are tied for first, and the
- 4:25Speaker 2: Packers are team aams back at that. Green Bay is
- 4:27Speaker 2: not going to catch those two, but they're going to
- 4:30Speaker 2: get in as a wildcard. Now here's what else is
- 4:33Speaker 2: the situation. The Rams are nine and six and Seattle
- 4:38Speaker 2: is eight and seven. But the only way that the
- 4:42Speaker 2: Rams or the Seahawks are getting in the playoffs is
- 4:43Speaker 2: to win the NFC West. Are not getting in as
- 4:45Speaker 2: a wildcard, not gonna have enough wins. So the Rams
- 4:49Speaker 2: play the Cardinals Saturday, night. That's the third game of
- 4:52Speaker 2: the triple header on NFL Network. If the Rams win
- 4:58Speaker 2: and the Sea who play the Bears tonight, by the way,
- 5:04Speaker 2: that's Thursday night game. If the Seahawks lose to the
- 5:07Speaker 2: Bears tonight and then the Rams win, the Rams clinched
- 5:11Speaker 2: the division. Or and this gets a little more convoluted
- 5:14Speaker 2: if they win, and then if they wind up clinching
- 5:17Speaker 2: the strength of victory tiebreaker against over Seattle, which they
- 5:24Speaker 2: still have a decent shot to do. But the Rams
- 5:26Speaker 2: are in controller undestiny. If they win, there's a good
- 5:28Speaker 2: chance they're going to win the West no matter what
- 5:29Speaker 2: they do against Seattle. But they have both of their
- 5:31Speaker 2: final games at home. Now, the Eagles i mentioned are
- 5:35Speaker 2: twelve and three, and they play the Cowboys Sunday. That's
- 5:37Speaker 2: your early game on Fox. If they win, they clinch
- 5:41Speaker 2: the East. Or and I said earlier they won the division.
- 5:46Speaker 2: They haven't quite wrapped it up, but they're really close
- 5:49Speaker 2: if they beat the Cowboys. So you think they're close enough,
- 5:51Speaker 2: they are, right the matter of fact that they're playing
- 5:53Speaker 2: the Cowboys on Sunday in Philly. Yeah, yeah, So if
- 5:56Speaker 2: they win, they clinch or and this is an interesting game.
- 5:59Speaker 2: It flexed for Sunday Night Commanders Falcons at Sunday Night,
- 6:06Speaker 2: and that is in Washington, so they can get in
- 6:10Speaker 2: either way. The Falcons can clinch the NFC South with
- 6:16Speaker 2: a win over Washington and a Tampa Bay loss to Carolina.
- 6:21Speaker 2: I don't know that either of those things are going
- 6:22Speaker 2: to happen. I don't know the Falcons are gonna win,
- 6:25Speaker 2: but I certainly don't expect Tampa Bay to lose again
- 6:29Speaker 2: to lose to Carolina. The Commanders, who are ten and five,
- 6:35Speaker 2: can clinch a playoff spot with a win or a
- 6:39Speaker 2: Tampa Bay loss, and I think I think the Commander
- 6:42Speaker 2: is going to beat the Falcons, and I think they're
- 6:44Speaker 2: gonna wind up winning getting into the playoffs as WILDCRD.
- 6:47Speaker 2: I don't think they're going to catch Philadelphia, but because
- 6:49Speaker 2: I don't see, I don't see the Eagles losing both
- 6:51Speaker 2: of their last two games and dropping into that flat
- 6:54Speaker 2: footed tie with Washington, which would give the Commanders the East.
- 6:58Speaker 2: How unlikely and crazy conceivable would that be for the
- 7:02Speaker 2: Washington Commanders to win the NFC East.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Well, especially with the breaking news right now that Cedie
- 7:07Speaker 3: Lamb has been shut down for the rest of the season.
- 7:09Speaker 3: Find it hard to believe that the Cowboys can muster
- 7:11Speaker 3: enough offense to fill the void of Lamb's production and
- 7:16Speaker 3: pull off an upset against Philadelphia. But I don't think
- 7:18Speaker 3: Chillen hurts practice today, so it might be can you
- 7:22Speaker 3: pick it? And if if he can't go, I think
- 7:25Speaker 3: their their third stringers. Tanner McKee, Yeah, so who knows?
- 7:30Speaker 3: You know, White people with NFL hope for him, Tanner
- 7:32Speaker 3: McKee first Cooper rush with no Ceedee Lamb involved and
- 7:36Speaker 3: Zekiel la getting one yard scared one yard carries, so
- 7:39Speaker 3: who knows? Who knows? Greg It could be an interesting weekend.
- 7:42Speaker 2: How about Zeke scoring a touchdown last week?
- 7:44Speaker 3: Yeah, I didn't know he was still on the football team.
- 7:47Speaker 2: Linda said something very similar, pointing. I said, look, Zeke,
- 7:50Speaker 2: She said, I forgot about him, That's what she said.
- 7:53Speaker 2: I forgot about him, said, yeah, most of the rest
- 7:55Speaker 2: of the NFL. I think McCarthy forgot about him. And
- 7:58Speaker 2: then he low and beholdes there a touchdown.
- 8:00Speaker 1: All right.
- 8:01Speaker 2: Now to the convoluted state that is the NFC North,
- 8:07Speaker 2: which involves Lions, Vikings, and Packers. So the Lions play
- 8:14Speaker 2: at the forty nine Ers on Monday Night, they get
- 8:18Speaker 2: the number one seed and home field advantage if they
- 8:24Speaker 2: win in Minnesota loses to green Bay, that's what would
- 8:27Speaker 2: happen if that happens. But I don't I don't know
- 8:32Speaker 2: that Minnesota loses to green Bay. I think it's going
- 8:34Speaker 2: to come down to Lions Vikings. I think that's going
- 8:35Speaker 2: to be your Sunday night Flex game. That's gonna be
- 8:38Speaker 2: the final game of the regular season. I'm almost certain
- 8:42Speaker 2: that's what's going to happen there. And as a result
- 8:44Speaker 2: of that, the Packers are probably going to fall into
- 8:46Speaker 2: the sixth seed, a dangerous number six seed. If the
- 8:50Speaker 2: regular season ended today, these would be the playoff matchups.
- 8:55Speaker 2: You would have Kansas City getting a buys them one seed,
- 9:00Speaker 2: the two seed Buffalo at home against Denver, the seven,
- 9:03Speaker 2: the three seed would be Baltimore against the Chargers. The
- 9:11Speaker 2: four seed would be the Texans at home against the Steelers.
- 9:15Speaker 2: And that would be and the Chiefs get the wild
- 9:18Speaker 2: card round by In the NFC, it would be how
- 9:22Speaker 2: about this, this would be your first round matchup, two
- 9:25Speaker 2: seed Philadelphia without a bye, playing Washington again who just
- 9:29Speaker 2: beat them, So be Washington Philadelphia. You'd have the six seed,
- 9:34Speaker 2: the Packers at the three seed, the Rams. Packers already
- 9:37Speaker 2: beaten the Rams in LA this year. The five seed,
- 9:41Speaker 2: the Vikings play at the four seed, the Falcons and
- 9:45Speaker 2: the Lions would get the buy. So that's that's where
- 9:49Speaker 2: it would stand right now. So it's a little bit
- 9:55Speaker 2: unsettled for the moment, but we'll see how this all
- 9:58Speaker 2: plays out during the course of the weekend, starting tonight
- 10:00Speaker 2: with Seahawks and Bears, and there's a Bowl game tonight.
- 10:03Speaker 2: We'll talk about all that and more coming up here
- 10:05Speaker 2: on sports Radio AM thirteen under the Zone and the
- 10:07Speaker 2: Irradio app.
