- 0:17Speaker 1: So normally on these little promo type things, you know,
- 0:22Speaker 1: we're pitching the horror club and we're trying to get
- 0:24Speaker 1: people to come over to that. And we try to
- 0:27Speaker 1: focus sort of on horror for those too. But yeah,
- 0:31Speaker 1: this isn't even on the horror feed. It's not part
- 0:34Speaker 1: of the club. So technically we can do whatever the
- 0:36Speaker 1: hell we want. And otherwise we discuss movies in general.
- 0:39Speaker 1: So this is a movie topic. It came up actually
- 0:43Speaker 1: yesterday and I was like, oh, we just need to
- 0:45Speaker 1: discuss this. So. Not at all horror related, so turn
- 0:48Speaker 1: your brain off if you're a horror person, I suppose.
- 0:51Speaker 2: If mine wasn't on.
- 0:53Speaker 1: You and people out there listening, but it's mostly just you,
- 0:56Speaker 1: because I don't assume anyone's listening at this point. So, well,
- 1:01Speaker 1: first off, I guess we have to clarify, I don't
- 1:05Speaker 1: want to spoil anything for this recent movie. Are either
- 1:08Speaker 1: of you familiar with the movie Titanic?
- 1:10Speaker 3: Yes. I think I've heard of it.
- 1:15Speaker 1: I don't want to spoil it for you, so Spoilers
- 1:17Speaker 1: for Titanic and all Cameron related movies, essentially. So, but
- 1:23Speaker 1: the rest of that's pretty glossed over. So mostly the
- 1:26Speaker 1: end of Titanic, there might be a door involved in
- 1:28Speaker 1: case you need to know. But so are you also,
- 1:32Speaker 1: I'd heard of this. I didn't hear the specifics. And
- 1:34Speaker 1: then I was listening to some other show that shall
- 1:37Speaker 1: not be named because I don't even know if they
- 1:38Speaker 1: exist anymore, but they went into this theory and, Then
- 1:42Speaker 1: they added something to it. So I was like, all right,
- 1:44Speaker 1: that's already interesting enough. And then I added my own
- 1:46Speaker 1: step to it. So have you heard of the theory
- 1:49Speaker 1: that Jack himself within Titanic is a time traveler?
- 1:54Speaker 2: I have not.
- 1:55Speaker 3: No.
- 1:56Speaker 2: And I don't know that I want to explore this.
- 1:59Speaker 1: Let's explore this!
- 2:01Speaker 2: You guys know how I feel about time travel.
- 2:03Speaker 3: I know, we just talked about this.
- 2:04Speaker 2: That's one of the reasons.
- 2:05Speaker 1: I was like, oh, now we're definitely talking about it.
- 2:07Speaker 1: You have time travel issues.
- 2:09Speaker 2: It sets me almost as much as the movie Cars,
- 2:11Speaker 2: which is a whole other thing.
- 2:12Speaker 1: I'm with you on that one, though. That makes sense.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Cars is weird. But, um... So... The thing I liked was,
- 2:21Speaker 1: because I'd heard the other things, there are some weird
- 2:24Speaker 1: issues with the script will pretend like except it's actually
- 2:28Speaker 1: built in because he's a time traveler sure um but
- 2:30Speaker 1: the new one that i heard that will kick it
- 2:33Speaker 1: off because this is how i guess it would start
- 2:35Speaker 1: was within the story of titanic jack has to like
- 2:39Speaker 1: win his ticket on the boat because he had no
- 2:42Speaker 1: money he had no money because i like throwing it
- 2:45Speaker 1: into the cameron universe he had no money because you
- 2:47Speaker 1: can't come back with any possessions so it's just a
- 2:50Speaker 1: naked jack showing up which I'm sure many people would
- 2:53Speaker 1: also be on board with that aspect of this new story.
- 2:56Speaker 1: But yeah, so he had no possessions, no money, can't
- 2:59Speaker 1: bring back weapons and whatnot. So that's why he's out
- 3:02Speaker 1: there scrounging around, orphan child that he is, trying to
- 3:04Speaker 1: come up with money to get on this boat. Now,
- 3:08Speaker 1: some of the theories are that he was sent back
- 3:11Speaker 1: to make sure Rose survives in this story or alternate
- 3:16Speaker 1: version to make sure the Titanic sinks. I don't know
- 3:20Speaker 1: how exactly he does that one, Cause you know, iceberg
- 3:23Speaker 1: and whatnot, but either of those, I love ridiculous theories
- 3:28Speaker 1: on film in particular.
- 3:30Speaker 2: So as much as, as far as bullshit fan theories go,
- 3:33Speaker 2: this one, I hate less than a lot of what I've.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Well, and it actually had like the, that was the
- 3:38Speaker 1: new thing. I hadn't heard the fact that he needed
- 3:40Speaker 1: to win the ticket because he couldn't have money because
- 3:44Speaker 1: he just got there and was essentially, you know, naked
- 3:46Speaker 1: and had no belongings. So, but the, um, The things
- 3:50Speaker 1: that are actually built into the screenplay are Jack mentions
- 3:54Speaker 1: fishing on Lake Wissota, which is a man-made lake and
- 3:59Speaker 1: did not exist. The Titanic went down in 1912. They
- 4:04Speaker 1: created that lake in 1917. That's just shitty storytelling right there.
- 4:09Speaker 1: The hell you say. James Cameron would never make a mistake,
- 4:12Speaker 1: and so obviously Jack's a time traveler. Sure. He also
- 4:16Speaker 1: tells Rose that he's going to take her to Santa
- 4:18Speaker 1: Monica Pier and ride on the roller coasters, which didn't
- 4:22Speaker 1: open until 1916.
- 4:24Speaker 3: Again, this is 1912. You'd think someone would have Googled that.
- 4:27Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Like, when you're writing... And again, if we're back.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Well, Google wasn't really a thing.
- 4:31Speaker 3: Well, I don't know. Go to the library, then.
- 4:34Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. But you're... You know, it'd be
- 4:36Speaker 1: different if this was a random indie film. You're James Cameron.
- 4:39Speaker 1: You have all the money that you're about to double
- 4:42Speaker 1: go over in budget, which he did, and And the
- 4:45Speaker 1: studio was about ready to just murder him. He was
- 4:47Speaker 1: so far in the hole before this thing became the
- 4:50Speaker 1: ridiculous thing that it was.
- 4:51Speaker 2: I think juggernaut is the word you're looking for.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, it was out of control what happened
- 4:56Speaker 1: to that when it actually came out. But before that,
- 4:58Speaker 1: this was Cameron's folly. This was what was going to
- 5:01Speaker 1: take him down as a filmmaker for the rest of
- 5:03Speaker 1: his career. So he had that much money invested in it.
- 5:07Speaker 1: You think somebody could have been like a fact checker?
- 5:10Speaker 1: Be like, hey, guess what? I'm writing a lake name.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Look me up one that exists in this time period
- 5:15Speaker 1: we're in.
- 5:17Speaker 3: I'm sure they had like 500 19-year-old PAs. You would think.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Send somebody out to, you know.
- 5:23Speaker 2: The lake one. I'm going to let slide.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Yes. It's a lake.
- 5:27Speaker 4: Lakes are.
- 5:27Speaker 1: That's fine.
- 5:27Speaker 2: No one makes lakes. They're just there. You just find them.
- 5:30Speaker 1: It would have been funny if it was Lake Winnetonka.
- 5:32Speaker 2: The roller coaster thing. That's where I'm like, okay. Yes,
- 5:38Speaker 2: there are old-timey roller coasters, but did these roller coasters
- 5:43Speaker 2: in this specific location exist?
- 5:45Speaker 1: Seems like you would want to check on that.
- 5:47Speaker 2: So, yeah, those two facts alone, time travel.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Also, the fact that, I mean, he obviously had a
- 5:54Speaker 1: very floppy 90s hairstyle, which did not exist in that
- 5:57Speaker 1: time period. Even if they became popular, they're saying it
- 6:00Speaker 1: was like 30s or 40s before any guys sort of
- 6:03Speaker 1: had hairstyles like that. He also has rolled cigarettes. which.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Pre-rolled cigarettes. I went and checked.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Well, yeah, not hand-rolled, but machine-rolled. Freaking marvelous. But I did,
- 6:16Speaker 1: being the dork that I am, I went, well, when
- 6:17Speaker 1: the hell did that? So technically that existed. The machine
- 6:20Speaker 1: patented and that was a thing that created machine-rolled cigarettes
- 6:25Speaker 1: existed like years before that. But it was also invented
- 6:28Speaker 1: in Virginia? Which we're in England at this point. So
- 6:33Speaker 1: where does this orphan kid in England, like what Rolled
- 6:37Speaker 1: cigarettes have made it there yet, and if so, where
- 6:39Speaker 1: did this poor orphan child come up with money to buy?
- 6:42Speaker 2: I'm sure you could get imported cigarettes at that time.
- 6:43Speaker 1: If you were super rich, yeah.
- 6:45Speaker 2: But they were probably very expensive.
- 6:47Speaker 1: So that's an iffy. I'll kind of... There's an asterisk
- 6:49Speaker 1: on that one.
- 6:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:51Speaker 1: But even then, it's probably... I mean, why wouldn't you
- 6:53Speaker 1: just have him, like, hand-rolling a cigarette? Like, that'd have
- 6:55Speaker 1: been around forever. Like, that's just, again, weird oversight.
- 6:59Speaker 2: And that's always cool when you see that.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Yeah, that's how you know he's cool.
- 7:03Speaker 3: And then.
- 7:04Speaker 1: He also has a backpack that they hadn't invented that
- 7:08Speaker 1: style of backpack. So, sounds like a time traveler to me.
- 7:11Speaker 2: Oh, clearly.
- 7:13Speaker 3: I'm still stuck on thinking about what a roller coaster
- 7:16Speaker 3: in 1916 would entail, because that sounds like a death trap.
- 7:20Speaker 2: They were, yeah.
- 7:21Speaker 1: I mean, they're all kind of a death trap.
- 7:23Speaker 3: Here's a big bucket on a wooden track with a
- 7:26Speaker 3: bunch of nails sticking out, and we're just going to
- 7:28Speaker 3: kind of hope that you stay on there.
- 7:29Speaker 2: That's exactly what they looked like. And there is like footage,
- 7:33Speaker 2: I don't know if it's that old, but there is
- 7:35Speaker 2: like silent movie era footage of people riding roller coasters
- 7:38Speaker 2: that had loops. And they're literally, there's like 30 people
- 7:42Speaker 2: standing in a giant bucket. And it just, you know,
- 7:44Speaker 2: it goes down the hill, goes faster, faster, faster, starts
- 7:47Speaker 2: to go around the loop, looks like it's going to
- 7:49Speaker 2: fall off and then just completely goes.
- 7:50Speaker 3: Oh my God.
- 7:51Speaker 2: See, that's the part I was like, I wouldn't think
- 7:53Speaker 2: there'd be a loop. And everybody in the footage looks
- 7:57Speaker 2: like they're having the time of their lives. No one
- 7:59Speaker 2: is screaming in terror.
- 8:00Speaker 3: That's wild.
- 8:01Speaker 2: They weren't high-fiving because I don't think those were invented yet.
- 8:04Speaker 1: But not a cell phone in sight, just people enjoying
- 8:07Speaker 1: the moment.
- 8:07Speaker 3: See, we need to go back to the olden days.
- 8:10Speaker 1: See, time travel.
- 8:11Speaker 3: Put everybody in a bucket.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Almost.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Push them off a hill.
- 8:15Speaker 1: And go down with a ship. So this became my
- 8:20Speaker 1: add-on then. I was like, okay, if we're working in
- 8:22Speaker 1: the Cameronverse, because then I'm like, well, I mean, when
- 8:25Speaker 1: you watch it now, because everybody has issues with the end.
- 8:28Speaker 1: He seems pretty willing to just go ahead and go
- 8:30Speaker 1: on into the ocean. I was like, maybe, Cameron-verse. That's
- 8:34Speaker 1: because he knows the aliens are down there from the abyss.
- 8:38Speaker 1: And they're just going to snatch him up in a
- 8:40Speaker 1: bubble and take him off to their little homeland spaceship.
- 8:43Speaker 1: I don't even remember the specifics of the abyss. I
- 8:45Speaker 1: remember the crazy effects that were awesome. I don't remember
- 8:48Speaker 1: the backstory of the things. I guess I should watch
- 8:51Speaker 1: it again.
- 8:52Speaker 2: There is a nuclear missile somewhere.
- 8:53Speaker 3: I know.
- 8:54Speaker 1: We're not drowning a mouse. We're definitely not drowning a mouse.
- 9:00Speaker 1: If you haven't seen it, it's a lot to deal with.
- 9:02Speaker 3: I have not.
- 9:03Speaker 2: It's an important part of the plot, actually.
- 9:05Speaker 1: It is an important part, yeah.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Of not drowning this mouse or rat or whatever.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Whatever it was, yeah. But yeah, other than that, there was, yeah,
- 9:12Speaker 1: there's some sort of crazy alien aspect going on. So
- 9:17Speaker 1: I feel like that's why he wasn't that worried about it.
- 9:19Speaker 1: He was like, yeah, I need to cover my tracks
- 9:22Speaker 1: because I can't be around forever anyway because I'm a
- 9:24Speaker 1: time traveler. So I'm going to, using air quotes, die.
- 9:28Speaker 1: And then you won't be looking for me, Rose. You'll
- 9:30Speaker 1: just go stand out a hundred years from now and
- 9:32Speaker 1: throw a diamond in the ocean. So that old lady
- 9:38Speaker 1: was just a liar. That's one of my favorite lines. Anyway,
- 9:43Speaker 1: so yeah, time traveler. So I like adding in the
- 9:48Speaker 1: rest of the Cameron verse that yes, he shows up
- 9:51Speaker 1: like Arnold. Can't have possessions. All these facts now make
- 9:54Speaker 1: sense because he's from the future. And then disappears off
- 9:58Speaker 1: to go be with aliens forever. knows, all eternity.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Could be all eternity.
- 10:02Speaker 1: We don't know what their lifespan's like or what technology
- 10:04Speaker 1: they have to keep you around forever. Obviously, time travel's
- 10:07Speaker 1: a thing, so why not, you know. So Jack could
- 10:09Speaker 1: still be fine right now. There you go.
- 10:12Speaker 2: He's drawing naked alien ladies.
- 10:14Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Awesome.
- 10:16Speaker 4: Draw me like your earth girls.
- 10:22Speaker 2: So there you go.
- 10:23Speaker 1: How about that?
- 10:23Speaker 3: I don't know what to say.
- 10:26Speaker 2: How about that?
- 10:28Speaker 1: See, I needed to tell somebody that, and I was like,
- 10:30Speaker 1: you sorry bastards are going to be stuck here. I
- 10:32Speaker 1: can tell you all about this nonsense. So I thought
- 10:37Speaker 1: that would be a nice alternative, because normally we're giving
- 10:40Speaker 1: you a movie threat. This time... You know, if you
- 10:43Speaker 1: just want to hear us talk about horror, you probably.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Should join the Mountain Horror Club.
- 10:48Speaker 1: And then you won't have to hear ridiculous non-horror related
- 10:51Speaker 1: things like Titanic time travel stories. Yeah. Otherwise, we just
- 10:58Speaker 1: talk about random things like this. Again, it wasn't my fault.
- 11:04Speaker 1: I was not even thinking about it. I assumed it'd
- 11:07Speaker 1: be another. Maybe we won't this year. And then like
- 11:10Speaker 1: a week or so ago, I saw people online talking
- 11:12Speaker 1: about this. I was like, damn it. We're going to
- 11:15Speaker 1: have to eat that, aren't we? So let me show
- 11:18Speaker 1: you what I got. Oh, no.
- 11:21Speaker 2: Well, what I'm worried about is one of the instructions,
- 11:25Speaker 2: the last instruction actually, is enjoy.
- 11:31Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 11:32Speaker 1: I mean, that should go without saying, but I bet
- 11:35Speaker 1: with this one it doesn't.
- 11:36Speaker 2: It's like saying.
- 11:40Speaker 2: They know you're going to bite into this and be like,
- 11:42Speaker 2: I don't know what to do here. Let me read.
- 11:45Speaker 1: What's the last step? This is great.
- 11:50Speaker 3: It's all good.
- 11:51Speaker 2: I'm free with my family. Enjoy. Where the hell was
- 11:56Speaker 2: he that he had that giant industrial sized oven?
- 12:00Speaker 3: Yeah, the little child actor is great. Ving Rhames. Those
- 12:04Speaker 3: weird parents.
- 12:07Speaker 1: You know you're into that. Don't pretend.
- 12:11Speaker 2: And she meets this weird little girl who's like, this
- 12:14Speaker 2: movie's boring, let's make a new one. And the little
- 12:17Speaker 2: girl convinces her to make the figures out of raw meat.
- 12:23Speaker 1: Yeah, here you go. There's your pizza.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Oh, that's hers, okay.
- 12:26Speaker 1: If you want a fork, here you go. Eat it.
- 12:31Speaker 3: Why?
- 12:32Speaker 2: You pressed on it and it moved back.
- 12:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:39Speaker 3: And some body stuff going on.
- 12:41Speaker 2: A lot of body stuff.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:43Speaker 2: Which, gore for the sake of gore, I'm usually like, whatever.
- 12:46Speaker 2: But this actually tied into what was going on and
- 12:49Speaker 2: was important.
- 12:50Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:51Speaker 3: It was a good one.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Yeah, gnarly is a good way to describe that film. Nice.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:55Speaker 3: Pierce and I were like, ah!
- 12:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:59Speaker 1: They're just, yeah, the whole series is sort of diminishing
- 13:03Speaker 1: as it goes on. 2 is sort of a weird one-off,
- 13:06Speaker 1: but after that, 3 is awesome.
- 13:08Speaker 2: 2 is such an odd film.
- 13:10Speaker 1: That's a whole other. I won't even go down that
- 13:12Speaker 1: road now because it's its own episode.
- 13:14Speaker 2: You could do a whole series on this.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Pretty much. 2 is freaking weird.
- 13:20Speaker 3: All my notes are about the different ways that people
- 13:22Speaker 3: got killed.
- 13:24Speaker 1: There's many.
- 13:24Speaker 3: I don't remember the plot.
- 13:27Speaker 2: Well, really, I mean, like, I was sucked into it,
- 13:30Speaker 2: because I'm like, what the hell's going on? But, like,
- 13:31Speaker 2: in a, like, I really want to know what's going on,
- 13:34Speaker 2: and then you get to the end of it, and
- 13:35Speaker 2: I'm like, I don't know anything.
- 13:36Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 13:37Speaker 2: So, it's either weird for the sake of weird, or
- 13:41Speaker 2: it's full of metaphors that I'm not smart enough to understand.
- 13:43Speaker 1: Yeah. A real-world serial killer who murdered a lot of women, children,
- 13:51Speaker 1: mostly women, over the years. But, um... Yeah, he at
- 13:56Speaker 1: some point in the 70s was also on The Dating Game.
- 14:00Speaker 2: This comes up a few times in this sort of
- 14:03Speaker 2: movie where they're using technology to kill people. When did
- 14:07Speaker 2: they get time to get their IT degrees?
- 14:10Speaker 3: Right.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Because they never were. It's never the guy who works
- 14:13Speaker 2: in the IT department.
- 14:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:14Speaker 2: It's the local sheriff.
- 14:15Speaker 1: That would make more sense.
- 14:17Speaker 2: You know.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Ah, those creepy IT guys. They're always up to something.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Murder this time, but you know.
- 14:24Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 14:27Speaker 2: And there's at least two times that I can think
- 14:31Speaker 2: of where they look directly at the audience to explain
- 14:35Speaker 2: to you this is what the plot is.
- 14:38Speaker 1: Especially if it's a holiday-themed movie. Yeah. You kind of
- 14:42Speaker 1: need that to really drive the dumbness of this film.
- 14:45Speaker 1: I was like, yes, I want that.
- 14:49Speaker 2: We went to see Night of the Living Dead, the
- 14:52Speaker 2: stage production.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Not, I erroneously thought, Night of the Living Dead, the musical.
- 14:58Speaker 3: Oh, I thought it was a musical, too.
- 14:59Speaker 2: I thought so, too, up until about an hour before
- 15:02Speaker 2: the show. I did not. Brian was like, why do
- 15:04Speaker 2: you keep calling it the musical?
- 15:05Speaker 1: I was like, I never had that in my head,
- 15:07Speaker 1: and you keep saying it. Why do you keep saying it?
- 15:10Speaker 3: I feel like it would have been more fun as
- 15:12Speaker 3: a musical.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Mm-hmm. See, I was more interested in the basic idea
- 15:16Speaker 1: because as a movie, it's so centrally located. And it's like,
- 15:20Speaker 1: once you get out of the graveyard, you're in that
- 15:23Speaker 1: house pretty much the whole time, give or take the
- 15:25Speaker 1: gas pump. So it's like the rest of the movie
- 15:28Speaker 1: you could really do as a cool stage play. So
- 15:30Speaker 1: I've always wanted to see, and I knew they've been
- 15:33Speaker 1: doing versions of it over the years. I'm like, it
- 15:35Speaker 1: is one of those I wanted to see anyway, just
- 15:37Speaker 1: to see how you Make that treatment work. Like, what
- 15:41Speaker 1: adjustments do you have to do to make it fit
- 15:44Speaker 1: as this thing? So, yeah.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Turns out, not many.
- 15:50Speaker 1: One of which, probably one of the more memorable moments
- 15:53Speaker 1: in that trailer is the trampoline. So, it is interesting
- 15:57Speaker 1: that he mixed it up, though. It is not exactly
- 16:00Speaker 1: what horrible thing happened to her. No. It's a different
- 16:02Speaker 1: horrible thing. Still, not quite as horrible. So, she got
- 16:07Speaker 1: off light. Yeah. Comparatively.
- 16:12Speaker 3: But I haven't seen the fake trailer.
- 16:15Speaker 1: In the fake trailer, it's still the same scenario. She
- 16:18Speaker 1: brings the boyfriend, sits him down there. We get her
- 16:21Speaker 1: doing her little striptease on the trampoline. But she does
- 16:24Speaker 1: the splits and lands on the trampoline. And that's when....
- 16:29Speaker 2: Well, my first thought was, you know, five minutes into
- 16:32Speaker 2: the movie, I was getting terrible, terrible PTSD from... Flashbacks
- 16:36Speaker 2: from when I used to work in retail and had
- 16:38Speaker 2: to work Black Friday. Oh, that one.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 16:42Speaker 2: And those nights that I had to leave Thanksgiving early
- 16:44Speaker 2: because they decided, well, we're going to be open on
- 16:46Speaker 2: Thanksgiving this week.
- 16:48Speaker 1: How many times have you thought about taking your sibling
- 16:52Speaker 1: and jamming a corn skewer into their ears?
- 16:55Speaker 2: Too many to count.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what I figured.
- 16:58Speaker 3: How I watched it, if you paused it, it shows
- 17:01Speaker 3: you the actors and their characters at the bottom.
- 17:03Speaker 1: I've done that before.
- 17:04Speaker 3: So at one point, Pierce got up to get something
- 17:07Speaker 3: from the kitchen, so I paused it. It was that
- 17:09Speaker 3: scene with the diner waitress getting killed. So it was
- 17:12Speaker 3: only her and the killer.
- 17:14Speaker 1: And at the bottom, it showed her.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Speaking of spoiler alert.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Spoiler alert for you.
- 17:21Speaker 3: Pierce, don't look. Don't look.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Don't look. Oh, man. But it was the worst.
- 17:27Speaker 3: And I was like, what, 20 minutes in or something
- 17:29Speaker 3: so that I knew the whole time. I was like,
- 17:31Speaker 3: god damn it.
- 17:32Speaker 1: You guys are a terrible diner. Why is that sink
- 17:36Speaker 1: full of water?
- 17:37Speaker 2: And those freezer doors don't get that cold.
- 17:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:40Speaker 1: I mean, it would help that it was wet, but
- 17:42Speaker 1: I also like that the face recognition didn't work because
- 17:45Speaker 1: she ripped off half of her face. That's pretty fun.
- 17:51Speaker 1: I'm not mad at you, Mr.
- 17:52Speaker 3: Killer.
- 17:53Speaker 2: But I love, you know, I did love how The
- 17:56Speaker 2: guy was like, if the killer's in my house, you'll
- 18:00Speaker 2: tell me where he's at, right, cat? And the cat's like, yeah,
- 18:03Speaker 2: he's over here. Which is just like a cat. They
- 18:08Speaker 2: will sell you out. No matter who you are, they
- 18:09Speaker 2: will sell you out.
- 18:10Speaker 3: It's true.
- 18:11Speaker 2: It's like if you weren't some sort of weird dream demon,
- 18:14Speaker 2: I would think that that would take up way too
- 18:17Speaker 2: much time for very little payoff. And what does Freddy
- 18:23Speaker 2: do all day while the kids are awake and I mean.
- 18:27Speaker 3: Writes his jokes.
- 18:28Speaker 2: You know, that's... Well, yeah. Because I've always wondered that.
- 18:33Speaker 2: I'm like, what do these... Especially the supernatural ones. But
- 18:38Speaker 2: it's like, what are these serial killers doing when they're not.
- 18:40Speaker 3: When they're not killing people.
- 18:42Speaker 2: Like Jason, I get he's probably just sitting around thinking
- 18:45Speaker 2: about his mom. Sharpening his machetes.
- 18:47Speaker 1: At some point, they should go on the dating game. Yeah.
- 18:51Speaker 3: They could.
- 18:52Speaker 2: A leather face, he's got a big job to do
- 18:54Speaker 2: because he's got to butcher everybody. And I mean, that's
- 18:56Speaker 2: not just, you know. He really has like a nine
- 19:00Speaker 2: to five.
- 19:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:01Speaker 3: He's got to be yelled at by his family.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Trust me, I know how much time that takes. Apparently
- 19:10Speaker 2: I need more of a detailed search suggestion.
- 19:14Speaker 1: I mean, I can give you some code words if
- 19:16Speaker 1: you want.
- 19:17Speaker 2: Because if you just type in basting porn.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Ha ha.
- 19:22Speaker 2: You get a bunch of images that may not be beautiful.
- 19:26Speaker 1: It's a different terminology, actually.
- 19:29Speaker 2: They're not that unusual.
- 19:30Speaker 1: It's not that one.
- 19:32Speaker 2: They're not that uncomfortable for most people.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Anyway, my point is it was treated kind of like
- 19:38Speaker 1: that in those scenes. I was like, yeah, this is
- 19:42Speaker 1: there for that very reason. It's very creepy. Once again,
- 19:47Speaker 1: it's a very convenient thing that we heard her tell
- 19:50Speaker 1: a story that she very meticulously learned how to load
- 19:54Speaker 1: an old timey musket because it probably maybe could come
- 19:57Speaker 1: in handy later when she has to load a.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Musket all right i want him to be dead the least.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Also, when that dude got hit in the head, that
- 20:08Speaker 1: was like 14 gallons of blood pumping out. Yeah. It
- 20:12Speaker 1: was like, there's a little spray if you hit an artery, maybe.
- 20:16Speaker 1: But that was like buckets coming through. It was like, again,
- 20:20Speaker 1: I know that's what we're going for in this very
- 20:22Speaker 1: over-the-top horror movie.
- 20:23Speaker 3: Yes.
- 20:24Speaker 1: But that was a lot of blood, dude. That was
- 20:25Speaker 1: a lot of blood.
- 20:26Speaker 2: That was a lot of blood.
- 20:27Speaker 3: Unto the poor children.
- 20:28Speaker 1: Unto the kids. Why is this puppy with this clown?
- 20:34Speaker 1: This doesn't work at all. that just seemed random and excessive.
- 20:39Speaker 4: Don't get me wrong i make use of it oh
- 20:43Speaker 4: sure looking up baston videos and whatnot but still there's
- 20:46Speaker 4: the other there's the dark end of it too i
- 20:48Speaker 4: mean sure there's fun family friendly stuff like that but
- 20:52Speaker 4: there's some dark stuff on the internet.
- 20:54Speaker 1: Too right after we finish this movie we're working on
- 21:01Speaker 1: about time travelers and Draw on alien women. Whatever else
- 21:05Speaker 1: we're doing.
- 21:05Speaker 3: Daylight savings time.
- 21:07Speaker 2: Boo. Which actually works in our favor this time, but still, boo.
- 21:13Speaker 1: So go to moviemeltdown.com, join the Meltdown Horror Club, and
- 21:16Speaker 1: then you can hear us talk about horror movies. And
- 21:19Speaker 1: maybe not Titanic, but no guarantee.
- 21:33Speaker 3: But I have my fun.
- 21:37Speaker 2: I've been loved for this time.
- 21:41Speaker 1: I've been crushed but I'm totally tired. And my story's been.
- 21:46Speaker 3: Sang on every side.
- 21:53Speaker 4: Now the time has come.
- 21:56Speaker 2: There are things to realize.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Time has come to an end.
- 22:04Speaker 4: Bye.
- 22:05Speaker 3: Bye.
