- speaker-1: ⁓ I worked out where we have a five-movie deal going with Briscoe Town ⁓ and it's gonna be some beautiful films, all of them written by me. ⁓ it's it's ⁓ it's such an amazing feeling to know that ⁓ all these years of writing scripts and coming up with ideas and ⁓ feeling like I've I'm blessed and cursed at the same time because I find the money. Studios don't wanna take me. ⁓ speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-1: serious and and now I can have control of that and I can make it myself. Yeah. It's such a good feeling, man. And and I know a lot of people are like, ⁓ you can't do AI, all these other guys, you know, there's no need for the sound man, the cameraman, all that stuff. I get that, but you're not a storyteller. You know, I have all these stories I have over a hundred and eleven scripts. I need to put I wrote them. speaker-0: Where did you have speaker-1: I've been writing, I've been writing all my life, man. All my life. I love I look, if you go back, if you know me from high school, you will remember that we would be sitting here shooting the shit and all out of nowhere, I'll be like, This is a good movie idea. How did you think we met? When we met, all of a sudden, what did I do? speaker-0: Well you wanna make me a star. You tell me you wanna be the next copy. speaker-1: I wrote a concept, did I not? And I wrote a script, did I not? speaker-0: And you're gonna run with it one. And you and we're gonna make an AI generated thing out of my current. speaker-1: I could. I could. But maybe that show might not be AI. Maybe that show is the real deal. We'll see what happens. speaker-0: So what Trent and I are talking about is that you all know about Yellowstone. I know, but but we're just talking about that there needs to be other Western shows that cover different things. That's all we're talking about. Just leave it at that, right? Please do. No, I wasn't gonna sp no, no, listen, I'm I'm good at this stuff. All right. So looking, you know, the things that I hear, because I I still have ties to L you know to LA and the I I and actually I'm shocked to hear this. They go, ⁓ Nevada's just trying to union bust us. And I said, excuse me? speaker-1: Don't speaker-0: Has anybody been to Las Vegas? The unions are one of the strongest groups here. What are you idiots talking about? What they don't like is that we are pro-business. Right. That it's not a union thing, it's a business attitude thing. Right. And I'll throw something else out, too. That there is a concern amongst with Hollywood. I mean, look, it's the cost issues. I mean, it's too expensive to do things there, that the political winds will not shift to give them the kind of pro-business ump they need. So I keep hearing that they've had enough. They just they they just the nostalgia is gone. Yeah. It's now about business. We're now having to fight the Chinese. I mean, Chinese have, as you know, made big inflows into our market. So they by necessity have to have to migrate. Right. Would you agree? speaker-1: ⁓ absolutely. Absolutely. LA is look, and also, every film in LA has been seen. Now we need new places anyway. I mean, they've been filming elsewhere for the longest time. speaker-0: And they need some new faces, to be perfectly frank. I mean, come on. I mean, there's a handful of people who really do have that ⁓ marathon star power. Right. But and but they're and they're truly gifted at what they do. But look, that that's a few and far between. speaker-1: It sucks for the people that are that aren't doing the like my I've been in the business a long time, you know, and I'm I'm a decent actor. I'm not just saying that. I truly am a decent actor. But I can never break through because it's only these guys that use, you know, it it's it's not that easy. And and now it's easier. Independent filmmaking is so easy to be like you can make things happen, you know. ⁓ And I know that people say, ⁓ but you're doing AI now. You're not giving those actors but you know, you could still use those actors. I can have their voices. I can give their likeness to their to their person. speaker-0: Has anybody watched Toy Story? Yeah, that's I mean come on. I mean speaker-1: The highest grossing films are all the movies that are all CGI'd. Yeah. I mean, are those real? No, they're performing in front of a green screen. speaker-0: Come on. You know, the the problem, Trent, nobody likes change. Okay. The status quo don't like change. And and I think what's sad is that there are these old line states that used to be vibrant thought incubators that were one time top of the thing. And unfortunately, maybe you know, like, and I I'm dare say California was this way at one time, but it's changed. Yeah. It you know, it's now maintaining status quo, ⁓ although it's pretty funny that AI was came out aware. But that's the northern end of the state. The southern end's a different animal entirely.
