- 5:01duel in a division rivalry that matters this
- 5:03early in April. Over on the ice, the Bruins head

- 6:05are 13 .5 -point favorites again tonight, especially
- 6:08with Joel Embiid still out recovering from an
- 6:11appendectomy. In top news... Scientists may have
- 6:17accidentally found a way to reverse hair loss
- 6:19without drugs. What if the cure to male pattern
- 6:23baldness was inside us all along? Research suggests
- 6:26the cure to male pattern baldness might be sugar.
- 6:30The team simulated testosterone -based balding
- 6:33in mice and treated them with deoxyribose sugar,
- 6:36which stimulated blood vessel formation and ultimately
- 6:40caused hair regrowth. Researchers say that the
- 6:43sugar treatment is just as effective as minoxidil,
- 6:46the active ingredient in Rogaine, a hair loss
- 6:49treatment currently on the market. Hereditary
- 6:52pattern baldness affects roughly 40 % of people,
- 6:56and no, it is not exclusive to men. In business
- 7:01news, Connie Ballmer, wife of former Microsoft
- 7:05Chief Executive Officer Steve Ballmer, has given
- 7:09$80 million to National Public Radio, with strings
- 7:13attached. This donation represents roughly seven
- 7:17years' worth of government funding after cuts
- 7:19were made by Trump and Congress, but is only
- 7:22a fraction of the organization's full annual
- 7:25budget of $300 million. Despite the additional
- 7:29funds, NPR may still cut jobs, as the money is
- 7:33intended for digital innovation rather than expanding
- 7:37coverage. Catherine Marr, the NPR president and
- 7:41chief executive officer, is reportedly expecting
- 7:44layoffs. Balmer stated, an informed public is
- 7:49the bedrock of our society. In crypto movement,
- 7:53Bitcoin is up 2 % to about $76 ,000. Ethereum
- 7:59is up 1 % to about $2 ,000. And XRP is up 1 %
- 8:05to $1 .43. Moving on to a more local vibe. In

- 8:57Let's talk science. Scientists finally understand
- 9:01why birds were the only dinosaurs to survive
- 9:03the end -Cretaceous mass extinction. On the final
- 9:07day of the Cretaceous period, approximately 66
- 9:10million years ago, Earth was home to a dazzling
- 9:14variety of dinosaurs. In North America, the super
- 9:18-predator Tyrannosaurus rex stalked its favorite
- 9:21prey, the three -porn triceratops. A massive
- 9:25asteroid struck the Gulf of Mexico, triggering
- 9:28earthquakes, tsunamis, and wildfires, leading
- 9:32to years of darkness and cold. Three out of every
- 9:35four species became extinct, marking one of the
- 9:38worst moments in Earth's history. This event
- 9:41spawned a pervasive myth in science and in entertainment
- 9:48news. Since he was just 16, Steven Spielberg
- 9:52has been directing science fiction building worlds,
- 9:56weaving dreams, and looking beyond our earthly
- 9:58experience. After photographing him in Los Angeles,
- 10:03we talked to him about a life spent watching
- 10:05the skies. A Twinkly mothership plays five unforgettable
- 10:09notes. A boy and his extraterrestrial friend
- 10:13ride BMX bikes across the moon. Magnetic levitation
- 10:17cars zoom around 2054 Washington. Tripods emerge
- 10:21from the ground. vaporizing fleeing humans into
- 10:25dust. His work attests to Spielberg's status
- 10:28as science fiction's premier filmmaker from Close
- 10:31Encounters of the Third Kind to E .T. and beyond.
- 10:36Well, alrighty folks, it's time for the quote
- 10:40of the day. And today, our quote comes from the
- 10:44American naturalist and essayist John Burrus.
- 10:48And he said, The lure of the distant and the
- 10:51difficult is deceptive. The great opportunity
- 10:54is where you are. And that's a wrap for this
- 10:58morning. You can check out our Instagram, YouTube,
