- 0:32Speaker 2: you care, at which you don't, so let me say

- 0:55Speaker 3: Good morning Bill. All right, Neil hi Bill? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:01Speaker 3: good morning you Amy. There you are.
- 1:04Speaker 4: Good morning Bill. Remember we had a he tacos at
- 1:07Speaker 4: your house on Saturday.
- 1:09Speaker 3: We did have auditions.
- 1:10Speaker 4: You're one of the best bites.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Yeah, those were really good raw tuna. I asked if
- 1:14Speaker 1: they be well done cooked and they didn't, but.
- 1:18Speaker 3: Very very good. And good morning. And there you are.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Good morning Bill. Okay, that's the crowd. Why all right,
- 1:29Speaker 3: we're done.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Yeah, there's not much going on, you know, since yesterday
- 1:33Speaker 1: and sort of a day, A couple of interesting things
- 1:37Speaker 1: we're going to talk about today, to say the least,
- 1:40Speaker 1: any news from anybody.
- 1:41Speaker 4: We have going Gosh, there's just not much going on
- 1:44Speaker 4: in the world.
- 1:45Speaker 3: Oh, here is some news I want to share with you.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Okay, my daughter's new boyfriend, a Scottish young man by
- 1:54Speaker 1: the name of Murray. This is Barbara who was married
- 1:58Speaker 1: and then got divorced ten months later and I for
- 2:00Speaker 1: the wedding. Anyways, she was in Scotland, met the new guy,
- 2:05Speaker 1: and the new guy is coming to Los Angeles and
- 2:10Speaker 1: is going to sort of visit everybody, and are you
- 2:13Speaker 1: ready for this? You know, I bitch a moment about
- 2:16Speaker 1: the cost of going to Disneyland, but based on the
- 2:20Speaker 1: fact that I'm comparing it to when I was a
- 2:22Speaker 1: kid in the fifties and sixties going to Disneyland, and
- 2:25Speaker 1: so the cost just seems very high now in reality.
- 2:28Speaker 1: In reality, I know, it's a very very different park,
- 2:31Speaker 1: and the rides are spectacular than they are and they
- 2:34Speaker 1: spend billions of dollars of money on new rides and
- 2:38Speaker 1: new adventures. Guess what I'm going to do I am
- 2:42Speaker 1: going to take them to Disneyland. No, yeah, the three
- 2:47Speaker 1: of you. Pardon just the three of you, I think, so. Yeah,
- 2:51Speaker 1: maybe I'm a little joiness, but I'm going to take
- 2:54Speaker 1: them to Disneyland, and I will do a full report.
- 2:57Speaker 3: I'm sure you know.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Disneyland's always been great, you know, even after I bitch
- 3:00Speaker 1: and wait, wait, wait wait. I make fun of prices,
- 3:02Speaker 1: but that's all I do. I never say, are you
- 3:04Speaker 1: buying the tickets?
- 3:06Speaker 3: Yeah? Wow, Yeah, I am buying tickets.
- 3:12Speaker 4: Yeah, I gotta see this. You got to tell us
- 3:13Speaker 4: when we're going.
- 3:15Speaker 5: Yeah, Amy and I are going to shadow you.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Oh that's right.
- 3:18Speaker 1: See Amy and Neo have season passes, so we can
- 3:21Speaker 1: just follow along.
- 3:22Speaker 3: Yeah, then the hit is only one time.
- 3:24Speaker 1: But both of you insists, and every other season ticket
- 3:28Speaker 1: holder that I talked to when people have gone to
- 3:30Speaker 1: Disneyland insist. You know, it's relatively speaking, it is a
- 3:34Speaker 1: bargain for what you get, and it certainly has been historically.
- 3:38Speaker 1: When I went, I went as a kid, and I
- 3:41Speaker 1: just said it was like waking up and going to Disneyland.
- 3:44Speaker 1: So anyway, I am going to go, and I won't
- 3:46Speaker 1: be able to make fun of Disney anymore, not that
- 3:49Speaker 1: I ever did. If I ever made fun of Disney
- 3:51Speaker 1: as a park as a park, No, you make fun
- 3:55Speaker 1: of us for loving it.
- 3:56Speaker 3: Yeah that's true. I do.
- 3:57Speaker 1: I mock you. But where are you going? I don't
- 4:00Speaker 1: know yet. I'm putting it together now because it depends
- 4:03Speaker 1: on Murray. They don't even know. So this is say,
- 4:05Speaker 1: don't listening to the show.
- 4:06Speaker 3: I'm fine.
- 4:06Speaker 4: Oh, it's supposed to be a surprise. Huh.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Well, how much of a surprise is when you go
- 4:10Speaker 1: in the air Oh, with my kids, it's going to
- 4:12Speaker 1: be a surprise if.
- 4:14Speaker 6: You go before the twenty seventh of April. The Food
- 4:17Speaker 6: and Wine Festival is still going on at California Adventures.
- 4:20Speaker 3: Well I'll be going. Yeah, we'll be going before then.
- 4:22Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I'm gonna be going. So anyway, it's gonna
- 4:25Speaker 1: be a lot of No, it's gonna be a lot
- 4:27Speaker 1: of fun. I'm actually looking forward to it. I truly am.
- 4:31Speaker 3: So. I will give you a full report.
- 4:34Speaker 4: You got to tell us when you're going, because we
- 4:36Speaker 4: got to spy on you.
- 4:37Speaker 3: I mean, come on, are you seriously gonna go? Yeah?
- 4:39Speaker 3: But we all go together, Yeah, we all go.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Together, and I will take my rented wheelchair. Let's try
- 4:47Speaker 1: to get at the front of the line. Although they
- 4:48Speaker 1: don't do that.
- 4:49Speaker 5: There's too many people anymore.
- 4:50Speaker 1: I know you it used to be I know, total abuse,
- 4:54Speaker 1: total abuse of the airlines.
- 4:58Speaker 6: Two kids who worked autistic who can't handle the crowds
- 5:02Speaker 6: or things like that. But if you're in a wheelchair,
- 5:05Speaker 6: you're basically sitting down.
- 5:08Speaker 5: Anyways.
- 5:09Speaker 4: Well, some of the lines are hard to navigate.
- 5:12Speaker 6: My wife is having some feet issues that they're trying
- 5:16Speaker 6: to figure out what they were, and we had to
- 5:17Speaker 6: put her in a jazzy and it was easy peasy
- 5:19Speaker 6: and we didn't get any special treatment. Well that's what
- 5:23Speaker 6: I call the little motorized. Yeah, the old people's uh scooters.
- 5:27Speaker 1: You know, people that weigh four hundred pounds and can't
- 5:29Speaker 1: walk and they sit on those scooters.
- 5:30Speaker 3: They see them at Costco all the time.
- 5:32Speaker 1: I mean enormous, enormous swimming with huge asses that sort
- 5:37Speaker 1: of hang over the seat and it looks like draping
- 5:41Speaker 1: is hanging over a seat and it's Uh.
- 5:44Speaker 6: I saw a woman at Disney that had it was hers,
- 5:48Speaker 6: wasn't a rental. It said, I'm actually handicapped, not just fat.
- 5:54Speaker 1: On on her jazzy, but she was also fat. Come on,
- 5:57Speaker 1: give me yes, and of course she was, you said,
- 6:00Speaker 1: not just yes? Okay, I will report. I can't wait,
- 6:07Speaker 1: cannot wait. All right, guys, let's do it. It's time for
- 6:10Speaker 1: a handle on the news with Amy Neil and me
- 6:13Speaker 1: lead story. Well, yesterday the stock market went up, up, up,
- 6:21Speaker 1: oil prices dipped for a minute and then they rose again.
- 6:26Speaker 3: And what are the futures right now?
- 6:28Speaker 1: I haven't paid attention while I was working on the news,
- 6:31Speaker 1: And what are the market futures?
- 6:35Speaker 5: And Amy, oil?
- 6:38Speaker 4: Is it just under ninety two a barrel?
- 6:40Speaker 3: Okay, which isn't bad.
- 6:42Speaker 4: That's not that Brent number.
- 6:44Speaker 3: Okay, Brent is the world number.
- 6:46Speaker 1: I mean, that's the one that's that is quoted as
- 6:49Speaker 1: the sort of basis of all oil.
- 6:53Speaker 3: Brent crew ninety nine.
- 6:54Speaker 1: So it's right there. And so it's the what are
- 6:58Speaker 1: the stocks to eat? What the futures and stocks at
- 7:01Speaker 1: this point.
- 7:01Speaker 3: Of the dow?
- 7:02Speaker 4: Uh dow right now it's showing off about two eighty five.
- 7:08Speaker 3: Okay, Well we'll see what happens when it opens, all right? Uh?
- 7:11Speaker 3: Moving on?
- 7:14Speaker 4: Oh uh yeah, cancel Culture strikes again. USC has canceled
- 7:20Speaker 4: its debate for the governor's race after getting criticism from
- 7:26Speaker 4: several of the candidates who were not included or invited
- 7:29Speaker 4: to participate. So USC and ABC were doing this debate
- 7:34Speaker 4: and they said, we're going to have six candidates, you know,
- 7:36Speaker 4: the top polling, the top fundraising, kind of like they
- 7:40Speaker 4: did with the presidential debates, where they had the main
- 7:42Speaker 4: debate and then what they called the kids table debate.
- 7:45Speaker 4: So six candidates qualified, and the ones who didn't said, yeah,
- 7:51Speaker 4: we're all people of color, and only white people got
- 7:54Speaker 4: on the debate stage. So they started complaining about that.
- 7:58Speaker 4: USC says, we stand by our methodology for determining who
- 8:03Speaker 4: qualifies for the debate, but it did happen to be
- 8:06Speaker 4: that it's Bessarah and Via Ragosa and Elaine Ye and
- 8:13Speaker 4: who's the other one, but they are all non white people.
- 8:17Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's the methodology.
- 8:19Speaker 1: The real complaint here is in the methodology of determining
- 8:22Speaker 1: and there's a whole formula starting with only white people.
- 8:26Speaker 4: Are allowed to be methodology.
- 8:29Speaker 3: Oh, I have that wrong. Okay, I'll do that story
- 8:32Speaker 3: a little bit later on a wild.
- 8:34Speaker 6: Card one, So get the ones that are on meritocracy
- 8:37Speaker 6: and then one wild card in there.
- 8:40Speaker 1: But yeah, and they're really and there really is a
- 8:42Speaker 1: methodology and I'll dive into that coming up at seven
- 8:45Speaker 1: twenty today.
- 8:46Speaker 4: Oh and we should probably mention that one of the
- 8:49Speaker 4: guys not on the debate stage is former HHS Secretary
- 8:53Speaker 4: Javier Bsera. He is going to be on with Monks
- 8:55Speaker 4: and Meryl today at one.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Okay, really I thought they only allowed white people as
- 9:00Speaker 1: guests sign KFI.
- 9:02Speaker 3: I guess not.
- 9:03Speaker 6: Okay, all right, So the Supreme Court is hearing the
- 9:07Speaker 6: mail in ballot case coming up.
- 9:11Speaker 5: This is one of those things where they're trying to
- 9:14Speaker 5: figure out win to count the mail in ballots.
- 9:21Speaker 6: And I've always thought it was if it was postmarked,
- 9:25Speaker 6: but apparently some of our states have that and some don't.
- 9:29Speaker 6: Mississippi is one of the fourteen states as well as
- 9:32Speaker 6: as DC and three US territories that currently allow for
- 9:36Speaker 6: the counting of late arrival mail in ballots so long
- 9:40Speaker 6: as the ballots are postmarked by or before the election day,
- 9:44Speaker 6: which makes sense to me.
- 9:46Speaker 3: Sure it makes sense because.
- 9:47Speaker 1: You can't control how long it takes for those ballots
- 9:51Speaker 1: to actually hit the counting facilities, accounting places, and so
- 9:57Speaker 1: what Mississippi did is it passed the law saying you
- 9:59Speaker 1: got five days, right, as long as it's postmarked, the
- 10:03Speaker 1: five days to start counting the ballot. No Trump Trump
- 10:06Speaker 1: administration has been against the that that concept from day one.
- 10:13Speaker 1: He said, you you can't count them past election day?
- 10:17Speaker 3: And what then?
- 10:19Speaker 4: It used to be that way?
- 10:21Speaker 1: You know what? I don't know, and it could be,
- 10:24Speaker 1: but then, did I remember when there wasn't mail in ballots?
- 10:27Speaker 3: That's true, Melee ballots were only.
- 10:30Speaker 4: Tax returns because you have to postmarked by April fifteen.
- 10:33Speaker 1: Yeah, mail in ballots used to only be allowed for
- 10:35Speaker 1: overseas people, you know, in various countries. The military used
- 10:40Speaker 1: to have mail in ballots. But now it's fairly controversial.
- 10:44Speaker 1: It doesn't make any sense to me just to have
- 10:46Speaker 1: them receive on on election day, which means you have
- 10:51Speaker 1: to figure it out well before election day and figure
- 10:54Speaker 1: out how long it's going to take the mail to
- 10:56Speaker 1: hit and sometimes it's late.
- 10:58Speaker 3: You ever had a letter hits you a week late?
- 11:00Speaker 5: I don't know where the controversy is.
- 11:02Speaker 6: If it's if it's post dated and you give five days,
- 11:06Speaker 6: I think that's completely reasonable.
- 11:09Speaker 3: You mean ifstated on election day?
- 11:11Speaker 1: Yeah, Well, the Trump administration hates mail in ballots across
- 11:15Speaker 1: the board because the philosophy is, the rationale is that
- 11:21Speaker 1: male in ballots tend to go democratic. Okay, so and
- 11:25Speaker 1: only and so the uh onseen ballot on scene voting,
- 11:30Speaker 1: to the ballot box, to the machines pulling the lever,
- 11:34Speaker 1: if you will, that tends to be more republican. And
- 11:36Speaker 1: that's what the whole basis of this is. And the
- 11:39Speaker 1: court it looks like it's going to go with the
- 11:40Speaker 1: administration on this one. By the way, just saying I'm
- 11:45Speaker 1: surprised a Mississippi allows that. You think that would be
- 11:48Speaker 1: the last state that would do that.
- 11:51Speaker 4: Got a new set of new rules. A federal judge
- 11:54Speaker 4: ruled on Friday that the Pentagon's new policy that limits
- 11:58Speaker 4: journalists access to the Pentagon is basically unconstitutional. So the
- 12:05Speaker 4: Defense Department says it's got a new approach to limiting access.
- 12:08Speaker 4: So they're going to set up a new area for
- 12:12Speaker 4: the press in an annex outside the main Pentagon building,
- 12:15Speaker 4: and then anyone who goes into the Pentagon will require
- 12:19Speaker 4: an escort. The Pentagon closing its workspace that has been
- 12:24Speaker 4: used for years by journalists with credentials to cover the
- 12:28Speaker 4: military they used to just wander around as they wanted to,
- 12:31Speaker 4: and the new Pentagon people are saying, Nope, can't do
- 12:34Speaker 4: that anymore.
- 12:35Speaker 1: Yeah, that makes sense on its face, except they're arguing
- 12:39Speaker 1: that it's a security risk to let these correspondents right
- 12:45Speaker 1: around and reporters. And they're also talking about giving access
- 12:51Speaker 1: to or credentially various members of the press because we
- 12:56Speaker 1: know that well, there's been all kinds where the Pentagon
- 12:58Speaker 1: has thrown people out, and it's really clear how politically
- 13:02Speaker 1: motivated it is. I mean, you speak against the administration,
- 13:05Speaker 1: you're in trouble. You speak in favor of the administration,
- 13:09Speaker 1: you have influencers get in.
- 13:12Speaker 6: Now, has there ever been a leak or no, not
- 13:16Speaker 6: that I know of, not that I know or has
- 13:19Speaker 6: been reported. All right, so as we know, Christy Nome
- 13:24Speaker 6: is out. But now the Senate confirmed Senator Mark Wayne
- 13:28Speaker 6: Mullen yesterday to serve as the next Secretary of Homeland Security.
- 13:36Speaker 3: He is an ardent Trump, a supporter. What a shock
- 13:41Speaker 3: or down? You don't say, I don't say, you know that.
- 13:44Speaker 1: You know, you look at other presidents Bill Clinton, Barack Obama,
- 13:48Speaker 1: even Bush, the Bushes would put people in the cabinet
- 13:53Speaker 1: and actually attempted to put people who knew what they
- 13:56Speaker 1: were doing and had credentials. They were not politically motivated.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Some politically motivated, others were not. I mean traditionally only
- 14:03Speaker 1: the Postbasser general was politically motivated.
- 14:05Speaker 3: The biggest donor got it.
- 14:07Speaker 1: And it has now gotten to the point where it
- 14:09Speaker 1: almost doesn't matter who are what you are. The reason
- 14:13Speaker 1: he was given the okay on this, he was confirmed.
- 14:16Speaker 1: He happn't have been in the Senate, and he's just
- 14:18Speaker 1: a very likable guy.
- 14:19Speaker 3: And people like him.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Otherwise there's a lot of controversy. These guy's a conspiracist.
- 14:25Speaker 1: There's all kinds of allegations out there, but anyway, he's
- 14:28Speaker 1: a new guy.
- 14:29Speaker 4: In billion dollars to not finish a project, the Trump
- 14:37Speaker 4: administration is going to pay a billion dollars to a
- 14:40Speaker 4: French company to walk away from two US offshore wind
- 14:43Speaker 4: leases off the coasts of North Carolina and New York.
- 14:47Speaker 4: Apparently want they want to invest the money in fossil
- 14:50Speaker 4: fuel projects instead, according to the Department of Interior. The
- 14:54Speaker 4: Interior Department said the American people will no longer pay
- 14:58Speaker 4: for ideological subsidies that been fitted only the unreliable and
- 15:02Speaker 4: costly offshore wind industry.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Well, we knew that the administration really does not like
- 15:08Speaker 1: alternative energy sources, just doesn't like it straight out. And
- 15:12Speaker 1: again we knew from the beginning that the President was
- 15:16Speaker 1: not in favor of alternative energy.
- 15:18Speaker 3: As a matter of.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Fact, he ran on one of his campaign promises with drill, Baby, drill,
- 15:24Speaker 1: and so no surprise here and there. There's one offshore
- 15:29Speaker 1: that was almost finished, I mean billions of dollars that
- 15:32Speaker 1: was just stopped short. I think it was off of
- 15:35Speaker 1: New Jersey that was just shut down, ninety percent complete
- 15:41Speaker 1: or something along those lines. So obviously the oil industry
- 15:45Speaker 1: is jumping up and down. They're thrilled with this and
- 15:48Speaker 1: that all roads lead to oil.
- 15:54Speaker 6: All right, So the stripping begins. Caesar Chavez is going
- 16:00Speaker 6: to be stripped from two Los Angeles school District campuses.
- 16:06Speaker 6: Fallout continues over those allegations of the late labor leader
- 16:10Speaker 6: and those rape and sexual misconduct with minor allegations.
- 16:15Speaker 5: So we're looking at two schools. There's the Caesar.
- 16:18Speaker 6: Joves Learning Academy in San Fernando and Caesar Chavez Elementary
- 16:23Speaker 6: School in El Serno. So they're going to figure out
- 16:28Speaker 6: and they're going to do their renaming process this fall.
- 16:34Speaker 6: Their resolution is called Standing with Survivors and Recognizing farm Workers.
- 16:40Speaker 1: So see, I wanted to push for Predator Day, but
- 16:45Speaker 1: that didn't fly at all.
- 16:47Speaker 6: Sico Sico Elementary School, per yeah, pervo.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Now you talk about someone's reputation being destroyed, Abraham linc
- 16:57Speaker 1: Not Abraham Lincoln, but Christopher Columbus.
- 17:01Speaker 3: Uh is uh?
- 17:02Speaker 1: Now part of what the administration put up a statue
- 17:06Speaker 1: of Christopher Columbus I think in uh was it near
- 17:09Speaker 1: the near the Washington Mall or in front of the
- 17:12Speaker 1: Eisenhower Building.
- 17:13Speaker 3: Yes, it's in front of them, in front of the
- 17:14Speaker 3: Eisenhower Building.
- 17:15Speaker 4: It's one of those statues that was this replica. It
- 17:19Speaker 4: was one that was knocked over in Yeah.
- 17:20Speaker 1: And I think that I think from I think from
- 17:22Speaker 1: the quote was Christopher Columbus a great American or something?
- 17:26Speaker 5: Which he wasn't an American for a.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Really I think, well somewhere in there, Amy, are you
- 17:31Speaker 1: looking at the quote? I want to I want to
- 17:35Speaker 1: make sure that I am correct.
- 17:36Speaker 6: You know what they're looking at doing now they're not
- 17:38Speaker 6: They're not going to be having artists make these statues
- 17:42Speaker 6: out of bronze anymore. They're going to be knitted together
- 17:45Speaker 6: and use the air blowers like you do for Halloween
- 17:48Speaker 6: and for Christmas, put up decorations so that when they're canceled,
- 17:52Speaker 6: they just turned the fan off and then go away.
- 17:55Speaker 5: Yeah it's gone.
- 17:57Speaker 3: Yeah a lot cheaper, all right.
- 17:58Speaker 4: Stuck on the Butty. A bus was transporting Metro maintenance
- 18:03Speaker 4: workers back to their bus division at eleven forty five
- 18:08Speaker 4: Saturday night when it ended up in the wrong place
- 18:10Speaker 4: at the wrong time, ran into a street takeover, and
- 18:15Speaker 4: so it was stuck, couldn't move forward, and that's when
- 18:18Speaker 4: some of the people involved in the street taker said, hey,
- 18:21Speaker 4: let's climb on it. So a bunch of people got
- 18:23Speaker 4: on top of the bus at the intersection of a
- 18:25Speaker 4: Landra and Figueroa and they ran up and down on
- 18:30Speaker 4: the bus. They tagged it. They sat on the front
- 18:33Speaker 4: bumper and the driver of the bus just sat there
- 18:37Speaker 4: because he couldn't do anything and he could go anywhere.
- 18:39Speaker 3: Were they filming a Bollywood movie and people were dancing
- 18:42Speaker 3: on the bus.
- 18:45Speaker 4: I didn't know see the comments of about the dancing.
- 18:48Speaker 3: You ever seen a Bollywood movie? Yes, they're great.
- 18:51Speaker 1: Dancing is just an integral part of them, and they
- 18:53Speaker 1: just dance all over the place. I can just do
- 18:55Speaker 1: a visual there of people dancing on the bus and
- 18:57Speaker 1: just having a good time.
- 18:58Speaker 4: It would have been fun if it was a Balio movie,
- 19:00Speaker 4: but as it was, it was a bunch of workers
- 19:02Speaker 4: on their way home after, you know, like at midnight Saturday. Yeah.
- 19:05Speaker 3: That's you're right, that's not nearly as much fun.
- 19:07Speaker 6: Yeah, Okay, I'm going to ask upfront here that everybody
- 19:11Speaker 6: hold their comments until I get through the story.
- 19:13Speaker 5: Bill looking at you or Dayton.
- 19:17Speaker 6: James Weber, some people might know his name, previously captured
- 19:22Speaker 6: the attention of ESPN and their cameras for his very
- 19:27Speaker 6: inspirational story. He is a quadruple amputee turned champion cornhole player.
- 19:34Speaker 6: Hold your thoughts, Bill, Now he's being accused of murder,
- 19:38Speaker 6: they're saying. Detectives say that they believe Weber gotten a fight,
- 19:44Speaker 6: an argument with another man last name Wells, and he
- 19:49Speaker 6: killed him, shot him with a god. Now, I know
- 19:53Speaker 6: this brings up some questions. How does a person with
- 19:56Speaker 6: no arms or legs shoot someone shoot?
- 20:00Speaker 1: When I read this story, I thought it was an
- 20:02Speaker 1: oversize corn hole attraction where they threw him through the hole.
- 20:09Speaker 6: Oh no, I knew that was coming. I thought you
- 20:12Speaker 6: were going to ask if he was the standbag. It
- 20:14Speaker 6: was a little clumsier, but you did it, thank you
- 20:17Speaker 6: very much.
- 20:18Speaker 1: No arms, no legs, no bail, new superhero torso man.
- 20:24Speaker 1: There's a lot can be said here. Anyways, A man
- 20:28Speaker 1: is dead at his hand. You know he also plays baseball.
- 20:31Speaker 1: You know that, don't you? Oh boy, he's second base. Okay,
- 20:39Speaker 1: we've got more, many more.
- 20:41Speaker 6: No, we don't, you do, we don't. But it says
- 20:46Speaker 6: that he dumped the body in Maryland.
- 20:49Speaker 3: How do you do that?
- 20:49Speaker 1: No?
- 20:49Speaker 3: I love to know.
- 20:51Speaker 1: How does someone with no arms and legs shoot someone?
- 20:56Speaker 1: I mean I can see people that have you know,
- 20:59Speaker 1: they're partially inmated, and I mean they did some extraordinary things.
- 21:02Speaker 5: By Bill, I'm stumped.
- 21:06Speaker 4: Wow, Neil, I thought you weren't participating.
- 21:08Speaker 6: And what.
- 21:12Speaker 5: I got a hand it to him? He figured out
- 21:14Speaker 5: a way.
- 21:16Speaker 6: Okay, they say that he does not have a leg
- 21:18Speaker 6: to stand on in this case, so we'll say, yeah.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Oh yeah, we can keep on going. We can keep
- 21:22Speaker 1: on going and going and going with that. I understand that. Okay,
- 21:26Speaker 1: do you want to uh yeah, no, hitchhiking at all?
- 21:32Speaker 3: All right?
- 21:35Speaker 5: Uh.
- 21:35Speaker 4: Fifty years later, a Cosby victim is awarded sixty million
- 21:40Speaker 4: dollars almost A woman claims Bill Cosby drugged and raped
- 21:44Speaker 4: her back in nineteen seventy two. She was awarded almost
- 21:48Speaker 4: sixty million dollars by a jury in Santa Monica yesterday.
- 21:53Speaker 4: The jury found Cosby liable of sexual assault of an
- 21:56Speaker 4: intoxicated woman. She says that he met her when she
- 22:01Speaker 4: was working at a waitress in Sasolito. He invited her
- 22:05Speaker 4: to one of his stand up shows and then gave
- 22:08Speaker 4: her some wine that made her feel sick, and then
- 22:09Speaker 4: gave her some white pills that she thought were aspering.
- 22:12Speaker 4: And then, you know, like so many of the other
- 22:14Speaker 4: stories related to Cosby, they went in and out of
- 22:17Speaker 4: consciousness and then realized later that they've been rapped.
- 22:22Speaker 3: And that's a big hit.
- 22:23Speaker 5: Now.
- 22:24Speaker 1: I don't know if it's the entire amount. First of all,
- 22:26Speaker 1: of course it's going to be appealed. Second of all,
- 22:28Speaker 1: I have no idea if the judge is going to
- 22:31Speaker 1: reduce the figure. Quite often judges reduce those what seemed
- 22:36Speaker 1: to be astronomical figures.
- 22:37Speaker 4: Well, does he even have sixty million dollars?
- 22:40Speaker 3: I think he does.
- 22:41Speaker 1: I think, yeah, I think he's worth several hundred million dollars.
- 22:44Speaker 1: I think there are some ds there. He yeah, he's
- 22:48Speaker 1: still there.
- 22:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know. He was pretty ill.
- 22:52Speaker 5: I was thinking, I'm like, is Bill Cosby even still?
- 22:55Speaker 3: I don't know, Actually he is?
- 22:56Speaker 1: He's It isn't look so good, But then again, no
- 22:59Speaker 1: one looks good when they're going to court under those circumstances.
- 23:01Speaker 1: Remember Michael Jackson at his trial that he went in
- 23:05Speaker 1: in pajamas and he was acquitted.
- 23:08Speaker 3: Of, you know, big a sexual predator.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Criminally he was acquitted, and man, he looked like he
- 23:14Speaker 1: had aged one hundred and fifty years.
- 23:16Speaker 5: He wasn't even wearing his good nose.
- 23:18Speaker 1: No wearing Michael Jackson pajamas. He really wasn't pajamas.
- 23:23Speaker 5: Please do something.
- 23:24Speaker 6: That's what a pilot wrote last summer in at least
- 23:27Speaker 6: a dozen or so reports about LaGuardia Airport. This was
- 23:31Speaker 6: to NASA's Aviation's Safety Report system, saying too many close
- 23:36Speaker 6: calls when air traffic controllers failed to provide appropriate guidance.
- 23:41Speaker 6: And now more pilots have raised concerns about miscommunication, air
- 23:46Speaker 6: traffic controlled mistaps and missteps and other hazards at LaGuardia Airport.
- 23:52Speaker 6: And this is over the last two years or so.
- 23:58Speaker 6: Things are getting worse. Pilots are concerned. And now, as
- 24:01Speaker 6: you know, there was this most recent collision of the
- 24:06Speaker 6: fire truck in the air Canada plane collided at high
- 24:10Speaker 6: speeds by the way on the runway.
- 24:12Speaker 1: Yeah, it was just a weird one because the air
- 24:14Speaker 1: traffic controller. The air traffic controllers control traffic on the ground,
- 24:20Speaker 1: some of them and then others in the air, and
- 24:22Speaker 1: then others do it on the big picture at centers
- 24:26Speaker 1: throughout the United States. And the fire truck was given
- 24:29Speaker 1: permission to cross the runway as the plane came in,
- 24:33Speaker 1: and the air traffic controller is screaming stop stop, stop stop.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Once you realize what happens, and then says in a
- 24:40Speaker 1: subsequent conversation, I messed up. Now the reports now you figure,
- 24:44Speaker 1: how in God's name can an air traffic controller give
- 24:46Speaker 1: permission when a plane is coming in for a fire
- 24:50Speaker 1: truck to cross the runway, because they all have to
- 24:52Speaker 1: ask for permission. Well, we're being told that the air
- 24:56Speaker 1: traffic controller was also working on another emergency at the time.
- 25:00Speaker 3: They're not telling us what.
- 25:02Speaker 1: And it was I heard yesterday an interview saying you
- 25:06Speaker 1: can see the distraction there.
- 25:07Speaker 3: It wasn't just a simple screw up. Yeah, Amy, what
- 25:09Speaker 3: it was.
- 25:10Speaker 4: That a United plane had canceled to take off because
- 25:15Speaker 4: there was something that smelled weird in the plane and
- 25:18Speaker 4: there were reports that people inside that United flight were
- 25:22Speaker 4: feeling sick. And that's where the fire truck was headed.
- 25:28Speaker 1: And the distraction, I guess with air traffic controller on
- 25:33Speaker 1: the ground, I mean, you can see it wasn't just
- 25:35Speaker 1: as simple. He was sitting there and just crossed the
- 25:37Speaker 1: runway kind of thing. So there are a lot of
- 25:39Speaker 1: moving pieces and then a couple of the pilots die
- 25:41Speaker 1: and it's just it's a horrible, horrible accident.
- 25:44Speaker 3: And the loguarde was shut down. Is it open yet?
- 25:47Speaker 3: I'm assuming it's open, Okay.
- 25:48Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know that it's completely open, but they
- 25:50Speaker 4: did open a runway yesterday afternoon keeping it free. The
- 25:58Speaker 4: European Union and Australia have agreed to final text for
- 26:02Speaker 4: a free trade agreement. This comes about two years after
- 26:06Speaker 4: the negotiations between the EU and Australia broke down because
- 26:10Speaker 4: Australia wanted more red meat market access. The breakthrough comes
- 26:15Speaker 4: is both the EU and Australia are trying to diversify
- 26:17Speaker 4: their networks so they don't have to rely so much
- 26:20Speaker 4: on China. And because of US tariffs.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Yeah, China moving ahead in dominating and trying to dominate
- 26:27Speaker 1: the world economy and the rest of the world reacting
- 26:31Speaker 1: to that as well as the on off tariffs that.
- 26:35Speaker 3: The President's invoking.
- 26:36Speaker 1: I mean, they're scrambling to figure out another way to
- 26:40Speaker 1: do economies. This may actually be a blessing in disguise
- 26:43Speaker 1: for them to be free of the United States and
- 26:46Speaker 1: free of China's influence.
- 26:47Speaker 3: See if there's any other way of doing it?
- 26:50Speaker 6: All right, Organizers for the twenty twenty eight Los Angeles
- 26:53Speaker 6: Olympic and Paralympic Games unveiled their visual identity is what
- 26:59Speaker 6: they call it's going to be floral themed big designs.
- 27:03Speaker 6: It's a system meant to reflect the city's landscape, neighborhoods,
- 27:06Speaker 6: and cultural character. I hope they plant all these flowers
- 27:10Speaker 6: in the potholes. Yes, that won't happen. And are you
- 27:13Speaker 6: surprised that there isn't a car somewhere in there?
- 27:16Speaker 1: Because it starts to car culture and we want to
- 27:18Speaker 1: celebrate drive by shootings because we're the world center of
- 27:21Speaker 1: that too.
- 27:21Speaker 4: Well, that would be in contradiction to Mayor Bass who
- 27:25Speaker 4: says it's going to be a car free Olympics, remember that. Yeah,
- 27:28Speaker 4: doesn't want anybody to drive.
- 27:30Speaker 1: Yeah, so we're going to see what LA does. This
- 27:31Speaker 1: is I haven't seen have you seen this thing yet? Yeah?
- 27:35Speaker 3: Logo, Yeah, it's pretty flowery.
- 27:37Speaker 1: Huh blossomy Yeah, okay, distracting.
- 27:43Speaker 4: Uh, just what we don't need. Drug addict Barbie.
- 27:47Speaker 5: Oh.
- 27:48Speaker 4: Police in Missouri have seized five Barbie dolls that contained
- 27:52Speaker 4: bentanyl in the packaging. The fentanyl was found taped inside
- 27:57Speaker 4: the packaging at discount store Cargo Largo in Independence, Missouri.
- 28:02Speaker 4: The police department determined that five compromise dolls had been sold.
- 28:06Speaker 4: They were all located within the same day.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Ooh, you can bet there was a recall of those.
- 28:14Speaker 1: And how do you tell if foam is coming out
- 28:16Speaker 1: of the dolls the mouth? And it appeared to be
- 28:19Speaker 1: non responsive.
- 28:21Speaker 6: When asked, Barbie said that it was Ken's, not hers,
- 28:25Speaker 6: and this was all man's fault.
- 28:27Speaker 3: Okay, one more and then we're out of here, all right.
- 28:29Speaker 6: So shifting interconnected system of global air and blah blah
- 28:34Speaker 6: blah blah blah, weather, weather, weather. It looks like we
- 28:37Speaker 6: might have a super al nino, so says some scientists,
- 28:41Speaker 6: predicting record breaking climate events this year. So we'll see
- 28:46Speaker 6: if that lasts or if that happens. They're so good
- 28:49Speaker 6: at predicting the weather.
- 28:52Speaker 3: Is there a super duper el Nino since?
- 28:56Speaker 5: Yeah, catastrophic Alnino.
- 28:59Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a movie.
- 29:00Speaker 1: All right, guys, J we're done, coming up the Department
- 29:05Speaker 1: of Homeland Security and the TSA and all kinds of news.
- 29:11Speaker 1: And the President just rejected yet another plan. And I'll
- 29:15Speaker 1: talk about that coming right up. Kf I am six forty.
- 29:19Speaker 3: You've been listening to the Bill Handle Show.
- 29:21Speaker 1: Catch My show Monday through Friday, six am to nine am,
- 29:24Speaker 1: and anytime on demand on the iHeartRadio app
