- 2:27It's time for the Kronin Matter, Part five and coming up waiter a
- 2:32new Carter Brown story from Hollywood. It's time now for Johnny Dollar, Doctor
- 2:42Bigbee. I'm asking you, if for a second time now, to come
- 2:45out to the Cronin Place. I told you last night, mister. The
- 2:47circumstances are different now, a lot different. We don't need a doctor,
- 2:51we need a coronary a car. Where are you calling from? The operator
- 2:55told me the phone out there was out of boarder it is. I'm at
- 2:58a forestry station a mile down the road. Jason Prell cut the wires last
- 3:01night before he was killed, shot to death during the storm, so that's
- 3:06how he ended up. It took a long time, but everything finally comes
- 3:09home. Yes, Missus Cronin said the same thing an hour or so before
- 3:14she died. Dolly two her heartness to Dollar in a way, maybe the
- 3:20dancing darling finally at rest. She what do you mean in a way,
- 3:25Doctor Bigbie. Missus Cronin was murdered tonight and every weekday night. Bob Bailey
- 3:38in the transcribed Adventures of the Man with the Action Packed Expensive Count America's Fabulous
- 3:44Freelance Insurance Investigator Os Trulli Johnny Dollar from Special Investigator Johnny Dollar at the Crown
- 4:00in the State Wells Falls, New York to the home office Shorty Mutual and
- 4:02Trust Company, Hartford, Connecticut. Assignment the Kronin matter expense account, final
- 4:08page item thirteen ten cents a half pack of cigarettes. I left with a
- 4:14farmer who gave me a lift back from the forestry station. The price of
- 4:17my own feelings at the moment would have been lower, about eight cents lower.
- 4:20In fact, I brewed another pot of coffee and sat down to wait
- 4:24for Big Bee. But this time I laced the coffee with brandy. The
- 4:28sun was up by then, clear of the horizon, bringing a bright new
- 4:31morning and a brand new day. The storm was long over, and the
- 4:34world sparkled and danced, But too much of the night was still with me,
- 4:40and the past still too much alive. And yet maybe Dolly Cronin was
- 4:45better off. She was a part of that past now, where friends were
- 4:48always true, every minute of life was even more wonderful than the last one,
- 4:53and where she was still and forever the dancing darling. Good morning,
- 4:59Johnny. Oh, hi Sylvia, I'm in the coffee business this morning.
- 5:03How about it having yours with cream? I see? Yeah, bad night?
- 5:10Shall I make yours the same way? Right? I had a bad
- 5:13night too. Thanks. Hmmm, you look real beat, Johnny. Couldn't
- 5:18be any beat her. Something pretty terrible happened last night, didn't it.
- 5:23Yes, Jason Prett is dead. Oh, and Dolly Cronin is dead.
- 5:29Oh? No, I loved her, Johnny. I didn't mean what I
- 5:34said last night about life always having been too easy for And you were right,
- 5:41just being frustrated, tied the knots and covering up. I loved her.
- 5:45She was sweet. Yeah, she was quite a girl. She had
- 5:49something I don't know. She had loved. She loved people, and they
- 5:53loved her in return. Maybe soon anyway. I just this belongs to you
- 5:58now, the necklace, the circle of fire. What do you mean it
- 6:03belongs to me? She made a will last night. I witnessed it.
- 6:06She left the necklace to you. I just can't believe it, Johnny,
- 6:13Can I can I put it on? Why not? It's yours. She
- 6:16wanted you to have it. You look good at it. I just can't
- 6:21believe it, Johnny. Well, before you get carried away too far,
- 6:25maybe you'd better brace yourself. Oh it's not mine after all. Oh it's
- 6:28yours, all right, but it's not real. It's a good copy,
- 6:31worth maybe four or five hundred dollars, but that's all. Well, I
- 6:38don't understand. It's so well known, the Circle of Fire. It's been
- 6:41written up over and over, yeah, from old records, but nobody's really
- 6:45examined it for years, since before Barnaby Cronin died. It's been locked up
- 6:48on a bank fall until I took it out. Was there ever a real
- 6:51one? Yes, originally, but it was broken up and disposed of years
- 6:56ago. Jason Pell knew it was in on the substitution. I suppose That's
- 7:00why I was so desperate to steal it from me and get rid of it
- 7:02before I found out it was a copy. He knew that if that deal
- 7:05came to light, it would call attention to some of his other activities,
- 7:09worse ones. What do you mean Pearl had complete charge of Missus Cornin's estate.
- 7:13He told me it was worth practically nothing, but according to records I
- 7:16saw in New York at amounted to over a million dollars in the beginning.
- 7:19He was stealing her blind all these years. Oh it's easy. She was
- 7:24alone in the world, knew nothing about business. She trusted him, thought
- 7:27he was her friend. He trusted everybody much too much. Well, she
- 7:30sure trusted the wrong ones, including her husband. Barnes. Sure, what
- 7:34do you think disposed of the necklace and slipped her a copy after making such
- 7:38a big deal out of his fabulous wedding gifts, a phony, and she
- 7:42worshiped him the king in her book, the man who could do no wrong.
- 7:46Well on the business book, he didn't do much else but wrong.
- 7:48According to the records, most of his deals were pretty shady, especially after
- 7:53he and Prell teamed up. Yes, miss Etherington, doctor Bigbie is here
- 7:59to see you, all right, Searman, mister Dollin. I wouldn't believe
- 8:03too much of what he says. He's a chronic drunk. Yes, I
- 8:07remember you telling me. Sure I meant yes, sir, Well, I
- 8:15was just thinking, Johnny, missus Cronin didn't know any of this. I
- 8:18assume no. She was safe in her dream world, and she thought she
- 8:24was giving me the real necklace. That's right, it's crazy. I'm kind
- 8:30of wonderful, isn't it? Just like that she gave me something she thought
- 8:35was worth a half a million dollars just because I was nice to her and
- 8:41liked her. You know something, Johnny, all right, I'm just as
- 8:48glad it is a copy. It's beautiful, and and I love wearing it.
- 8:54I'd have been scared of the real world, and I'll always remember that,
- 9:00like that dream world of hers, she thought it was real. One
- 9:07more question left, but a big one, a question of murder, and
- 9:11I already had the answer. I was sure of it, and I knew
- 9:13there was nothing I could do about it. Doctor Bigbie was a man on
- 9:18the sixty when he looked years older, a harried man, tired and worn.
- 9:22He sat down for a moment and we talked. I began to realize
- 9:26that here was another man who had been under Dolly Crowlin's spell, and it
- 9:31was shocked and hurt by her dying. It was a remarkable thing, and
- 9:35a difficult one to explain. Mister Doller like many another. I suppose I
- 9:41often wondered why I felt the way I did about it. It was a
- 9:45sort of magic she had, Yeah, I know, even as a girl
- 9:48here in the village, she had that same power and had it without knowing
- 9:52it. Everybody loved her, No, not quite everybody. At least one
- 9:56person didn't. Yes, you mentioned on the phone would murder. That's right,
- 10:01doctor Bigbee, who killed her. A man we can't touch because he's
- 10:05already dead. Jason prowl Oh, he's done about everything else. I guess
- 10:09I wouldn't put it past him. What do you base it on, mister
- 10:13dollar? A bottle of pills. Peel supposedly went to Tupper's Lake last night
- 10:18and got a prescription fill for missus Cronin. She took some of it this
- 10:20morning, an hour and a half before she died. There it is.
- 10:24I'd seen the bottle on the train coming up with a few tablets left on
- 10:28the same prescription, and these are different. Well, you're right on one
- 10:31count, mister dollar. Those aren't what the prescription calls for. What do
- 10:37you mean one count? I talked to the druggist at Tupper's Lake on the
- 10:39phone last night he told me about Jason being in all right, it still
- 10:43stands. He had the prescription filled and then changed the tablets substituted these.
- 10:48It's possible, but you happen to know what they are without having them analyized.
- 10:52I've got a pretty good idea, but I'll wait until I've examined her
- 10:54before i'll say positively, mister dollar, I'd like to plain why I wouldn't
- 11:01come out when you called me last night. Yeah, I wish you would.
- 11:03I'd been drinking, so I gathered I'd been drinking that other time too,
- 11:09and I'd made a mistake. I didn't want to make another one.
- 11:11Just what do you mean? When Barnaby Cronin died here, I signed the
- 11:16death certificate. Yes, I know, I hadn't treated him. He was
- 11:20dead when I came out. I called it a heart attack. I was
- 11:24drunk, and I was wrong. Barnaby was poisoned. Go on. I
- 11:30didn't suspect it until later, and then I was afraid to do anything about
- 11:33it. I'd signed that certificate and I knew it would break me, so
- 11:39I kept still, and I consoled myself with drink, and finally it broke
- 11:46me. So the same end result was achieved. Look, doctor Pigby,
- 11:50If Barnaby Cronin was here alone, and how is he poisoned alone? He
- 11:52wasn't alone when he died. She was here with him, missus Cronin,
- 11:56of course not. Why do you think he was always making trips up here,
- 12:00always by himself. I didn't know he was for years, every week
- 12:03or two. The whole village knew about it. She was here with him
- 12:05that night. She's the one who called me, asked me to protect her
- 12:09good name. She's the one who poisoned him, and now she's had another
- 12:13try with the same poison. But why ask her? Why a ring for
- 12:16her and ask her that won't be necessary. Well, I'll go on up
- 12:24and make my examination. Well, miss Etheton, I'm asking why he was
- 12:33planning to break off our relation. He told me that night she'd finally won,
- 12:39that silly little fool had finally won. But I didn't let her win.
- 12:46I killed him. You're confessing the murder. You know it doesn't matter
- 12:48now. I've accomplished everything I meant to accomplish. So it was you who
- 12:54changed the tablets in her prescription bottle and substituted the poison. Of course,
- 13:00it was so easy. For once in my life. Things were just as
- 13:05easy for me as they'd always been for her. Will you have the shriff
- 13:11come out, mister dollar. I'd like to make my confession. It's odd
- 13:22how things work out sometimes, mister Dollar. Yeah, Missus Cronin said something
- 13:26like that last night. I was pretty certain when you showed me the tablets,
- 13:30but I wanted to make my examination first. What do you mean After
- 13:33Barnaby died and I started to suspect miss Atherton, I managed to steal the
- 13:37poison from her. In order to analyze it, I substituted harmless tablets of
- 13:43the same general appearance and those of what she's kept all these years, what
- 13:48she gave to Missus Cronin. That's right, they were perfectly harmless. But
- 13:52in that case, Dolly Cronin died from a heart condition. The tablets had
- 13:56nothing to do with it. In a sense, Dolly died the same way
- 14:01she lived from natural causes. Expense account item fourteen eighty three dollars and ninety
- 14:11cents incidentals and transportation from Wales falls back to Hartford. Expense account total two
- 14:16hundred and sixty three dollars and thirty cents. End of account. End of
- 14:20report remarks the insurance ankle here seems a little muddy. Premiums were paid for
- 14:26years on an item that didn't exist, and yet no claim was filed and
- 14:31none will be so well, I leave it to your legal eagles. Me.
- 14:35I'm beaten, tired, and maybe a little sad. I've come out
- 14:41of this with a kind of nostalgia and for a time and place I never
- 14:45even knew, and I'm halfway in love with a girl back in that time
- 14:48and place, a girl I've never seen. Oh sure, I know it's
- 14:54a dream world and a dream girl and none of it exists. But it's
- 14:58too bad. I wish it did, because she must have been a honey,
- 15:05a real sweetheart, a dancing darling. Yas Tully Shanny Dollar. Remember
- 15:24please, there'll be a new exciting story on Johnny Dollar beginning next Monday.
- 15:28Next week, the story of a man worth fifty thousand dollars who didn't have
- 15:33a cent to his name. Join us, won't you? Yours? Tully
- 15:39Shanny Dollar? Yours truly? Johnny Dollar, starring Bob Bailey, is transcribed
- 15:48in Hollywood, written by Less Crutchfield. It is produced and directed by Jack
- 15:52Johnstone Hurt Him. This week's cast where Virginia Gregg, Shirley Mitchell, Vivy
- 15:56Jannas, Barbara Fuller, Benny Reuben, John Dayner, and Parley Bear.
- 16:00Physical supervision by Amerigo Marino. Be sure to join us on Monday night at
- 16:03same time and station for another exciting story of yours Truly. Johnny Duller,
- 16:08Roy Rowan speaking welcome back, Well, tremendous, tremendous overall. I said
- 17:15a lot about Bailey's performance in this one. I will say just the way
- 17:18it ended was very poignant, and in some ways it's something that we can
- 17:29relate to as fans of older radio programs. It's not so much the mysteries.
- 17:36I don't know if I'd want to end up more than once in Sam's
- 17:40Spade's office or something like that has kind of a high mortality rate. But
- 17:45certainly there are some performances and places and people you think of, places like
- 17:52rivers End from Doctor Christian or Pine Ridge from Laman Abner, and the amazing
- 18:00talent of so many of these people in their personas Gracie Allen, Bob Hope,
- 18:06Gordon McCray, so many, and you can really relate in some ways
- 18:11to the closing monologue, just really nastly done as a dramatic story. I
- 18:18will say, Johnny, after last week, Johnny is definitely getting into the
- 18:22habit of barking up the wrong tree. So better watch that on Facebook.
- 18:26Stephanie Rahm says, love that Johnny Dowler in daid Way Doo. And It'll
- 18:33be Saturday and Sunday and then we'll get another new adventure on Monday, so
- 18:37I'll be sure and be listening. All right. Well, now it's time
- 18:41for today's Carter Brown my Mystery. And we start off with the twenty ninth
- 18:45episode of Carter Brown. So this is their eighth overall story, The Widow
- 18:51Is Willing. Carter Brown Mystery Adventures in Excitement and Suspense, based on the
- 19:12best selling novels by the slick storytelling sensation Carter Brown. How do you do,
- 19:34Ladies and gentlemen, This is Carter Brown with another of my stories for
- 19:37you, adventure which I call The Widow Is Willing. It's account of an
- 19:41insurance investigator named Mark Hunt who finds himself marooned on a lonely island in the
- 19:47company of an assortment of characters male and female, one of whom could be
- 19:49a murderer. For my money, I prefer being locked in a lonely room
- 19:53with a typewriter. But there's no accounting for tastes. While here's Mark Hunt
- 19:57and his story. When you get to the edge of the world, there's
- 20:11a river, and in the middle of the river as an island. That's
- 20:14where the Goldbright's live. It was a raw night, which made you think
- 20:18of vampires and things that go eake in the night. There was a moon
- 20:21with low clouds scudding across it. I'd give him the old character who owned
- 20:25a boat five bucks to row me across. He pulled at the oars and
- 20:29I watched the solitary light on the island getting gradually larger. Nearly there.
- 20:33Yeah, Goldbright's been living on the island long. He ain't eat farther before
- 20:38him and hit farther before then. And what did his father before that do
- 20:42to get banished? I mean it jumps out of yankee jolt. Thought of
- 20:48how don't they get to the mainland and it got a lunch. You couldn't
- 20:51let him know you were coming, and they just ended not for me,
- 20:53They wouldn't He ain't expecting him. That's right. Too bad about Henry Goldbright
- 20:59dying like that, stepped over the bark and the outside his bedroom and ended
- 21:03up on the stone jetty fifty feet below. They say, the Goldbrids get
- 21:07on all right together, I mean talking him, aren't you we're here?
- 21:15Yeah? You go up him steps and then on up to the hair.
- 21:18Yeah. Oh, thanks a lot. If I want to get back to
- 21:22the mainland again and maybe an hour's time, will you be around rom World's
- 21:26End at night? You must be crazy, miss you? Why you stay
- 21:30here long andover you find her? Not a place to be by yourself,
- 21:33not at night? Take you back, go back? The old guy pulled
- 21:41away and was lost in the night. I picked up my case and started
- 21:45up the steps which led to the path which led to the house, a
- 21:47gaunt gray building World's End. I thought the name was appropriate. As I
- 21:53pulled the bell rope, I wondered what missus Goldbright would be like, fragile
- 21:57white head with a quavering voice, or more probably tough and hard and thin
- 22:02lipped. Yes, this I presume was Missus Goldbright. She wore fifteen dunior
- 22:12nylons black. She wore a form fitting dress black since she was a blonde,
- 22:18the black did things for her and for me. She may have been
- 22:22a widow, but she was also a wow. Yes, what do you
- 22:26want, missus Goldbright? Yes, I'm missus Goldbright. My name is Hunt,
- 22:29Mark Hunt from excels Your Insurance Incorporated. Yes, I'm sorry to worry
- 22:33you at a time like this, but your husband had a policy with us
- 22:36for fifty thousand dollars. You're very prompt in paying your policies. It's not
- 22:38quite like that, Missus Goldbright. I'm an insurance investigator. I want a
- 22:42big claim like this comes along in the company naturally investigates it before they pay.
- 22:47Perhaps you better come inside, mister Hunt. It's not very comfortable here
- 22:49on the doorstep. I don't quite understand the need for any investigation, mister
- 22:56Hunt, says Goldbright. Your husband died to days ago. He was insured
- 23:00for a large summer money. Therefore, the company has to be sure there's
- 23:03been no foul play. You mean they want to be sure and my husband
- 23:07died of natural causes and wasn't murdered. You could put it that way.
- 23:11I suppose the police are satisfied he died in natural causes. That's half the
- 23:15battle, the other half being to convince you. I suppose well, I
- 23:19think the best thing you can do is stay here, mister Hunt, at
- 23:22world's end until you've completed your investigation. That's very kind of you at all.
- 23:27It would be impossible for you to work from the mainland. And it's
- 23:30sooner it's finished, the happier both of us will be. Of course,
- 23:33you better come and meet the others and we'll have dinner. This way,
- 23:37mister Hunt, they're all in the living room. She led the way down
- 23:41the cold stone paved hall way into a large room with polished wood floors,
- 23:45which contained five people, four men and a woman. Just a moment,
- 23:52everybody, I want you to meet Mark Hunt. He's an insurance investigator.
- 23:56This is my brother in law, Clem Goldbright. Hello was about thirty or
- 24:00so, dark, slim, dissipated, crooked, grinning, a sneer in
- 24:03the eye. This is John Cross, an old friend. Either Cross was
- 24:07rugged, look the good natured college athlete type. Roger and Mavis Beavis I
- 24:11know. Hello. Beavis was fat and forty, rimless. Glass is a
- 24:15successful business man. Mavis was a redhead with a ravishing figure. Every time
- 24:18my husband looked at her. He got a stupid look on his face.
- 24:22I didn't blame him. And this is Michael de Grescoo, delighted, mister
- 24:25Hunt. The Grescoo had a foreign action. The name was Romanian. He
- 24:27looked smooth and suave and probably shrewd. Well, now that you've all met,
- 24:33I'll do something about drinks. An insurance investigatory Hunt checking on my brother's
- 24:38death. It's just routine, mister Gulbright, with any large claim. In
- 24:41other words, it's a case of did he fall or was he pushed?
- 24:45Slam? That's no way to talk in front of Lilah. Why not?
- 24:47She probably gave three cheers when she found him on a jetty. We all
- 24:51know their marriage was mistake. She made the mistake. She married him because
- 24:53she thought he'd spend all his money on her, and he didn't. Claim
- 24:56always puts things so beautifully. Here's your drink, mister Hunt. One of
- 25:00these days you're get a crack on a jaw for talking like that. Such
- 25:03a rugged character, mister Cross, the guy who never got past college physically
- 25:07or mental. Least that's enough, mister Hunt. Will think where a bunch
- 25:10of lunatics. It must be an interesting career, mister Hunt, being an
- 25:12insurance investigators just a job, missus Beavis, pretty ordinary most time. That's
- 25:17rather sort of to me at least, it's a job claim something you wouldn't
- 25:21know anything about. We each take life as we find at Mavis, Me
- 25:23with my brains, you with your looks. Come u here a clam Mayvis
- 25:26married you for your dough rod, your boy, and we all know why
- 25:30you married Mavis. That's the gong for dinner. Let's move to the dining
- 25:33room, shall we. We got through the soup to meet the apple pine
- 25:38cream without any more of the barb comments. Then we adjourned back to the
- 25:42living room for coffee while Mavis put on some records and the others organized the
- 25:47game of bridge. I found myself left with the Romainian Michael de Grisco.
- 25:52Are you interested in our mister Hunt? No one specific kind? Sure?
- 25:56What kind is that? Leg art? Ah? You mean the cheesecake.
- 26:00I was referring to something else myself. I'm a collector of everything and anything
- 26:04that is beautiful, from women to paintings. The paintings in this room,
- 26:08for example, very if I I offered ten me one hundred thousand dollars for
- 26:14them. We refused. I'm hoping Lila will feel differently. Well, good
- 26:18luck, I think I will have it. It was a sin that a
- 26:21woman like Lila should have been tied to Henry. I hoped to add her
- 26:25to my collection of beautiful pains. I got the impression that John Cross was
- 26:30in the running there Cross and Moron with muscles. She will have more sense
- 26:34than that. Nighbs, Please sorry, I didn't mean to put that on.
- 26:42I didn't know it was with the rest of the records about four PA
- 26:49that was Henry's favorite music, better than the Coriolanus Overture. I don't like
- 26:53it myself. It was on playing the other night when it happened. I
- 26:57think poor Lila associated with instead. That was careless of mabies, careless or
- 27:03deliberate. Everyone went to bed around eleven. The room I had been given
- 27:14was upstairs. I will look in the water A sheer drop of fifty feet
- 27:18and it started the rain lashing against the windows. Though I was trying to
- 27:21break in, I was sitting having a last cigarette when there was a soft
- 27:25tape on the door. I opened it. Missus Goldbright stood there. I
- 27:33couldn't help thinking that Goldbright was a good description of a hanging. Could I
- 27:37talk to you for a moment? Was sad? Sure? Come in cigarette?
- 27:42Thank you? Thank you must have been quite an experience for you,
- 27:52meeting our little group this evening. That's an understatement. There was certainly a
- 27:56bunch of characters claim was quite right. You know. The burning question is
- 28:00did he fall? Or was he pushed? I'd like to know the answer
- 28:04to that myself. Where were you when it happened? In my room?
- 28:08Henry and I had separate rooms. The first thing I heard was his shriek
- 28:14as he fell. Do you think some one could have pushed him? They
- 28:17all had good reason to, so did I. It comes to that Henry
- 28:22was a good deal older than I am. He wasn't exactly a nice person.
- 28:26I'll be frank. I married him for exactly the reasons Clem stated.
- 28:30Clem himself has only a yearly allowanced, but part of the estate reverted to
- 28:34him on Henry's death, so he had good reason to kill him. John
- 28:38Cross imagines he's in love with me. I've never encouraged his feelings, but
- 28:42he could have thought about Henry out of the way. I might feel differently.
- 28:45Michael de grescoh exclaimed himself to me. To night thought about the Beavers
- 28:48couple, Roger and Mavis. Roger's making a fortune marketing gadgets. He's the
- 28:53driving force, but Henry put up the money. Recently, Henry took a
- 28:59dislike to him because he married Mavis. I think Henry decided to withdraw his
- 29:03capital. Roger has staked everything he has on a new project. I know
- 29:10that at this juncture the withdrawal of Henry's capital would ruin him. So everyone
- 29:15had a good reason for wanting to see Henry dark. Yes, including me.
- 29:19I had no love for Henry, and with his death, I'll presumably
- 29:22inherit his money. I'll know tomorrow the lawyer is coming to read the will.
- 29:27Why tell me all this, Missus Goldby, I don't know. Just
- 29:33seems to help having someone like you in the house. Mark. May I
- 29:37call you Mark? Surely, Missus Goldby, please call me Lila, and
- 29:42if you don't mind, I'll talk to you again. Might help me to
- 29:48keep saying any time, Lilah. Thanks Mark, I think I'm going to
- 29:53like you. I love She left, and I turned in to the accompaniment
- 30:03of the wind and the rain beating against the house. I fell asleep.
- 30:14Suddenly I was awake. Something coming from below, faintly, from downstairs.
- 30:18It aroused me. The Beethoven music. It sounded eerie and terrifying in the
- 30:23night. Nice there was something else, a voice, a whisper, weird
- 30:29and toneless. In the room were the one who can help. Eternity is
- 30:33forever Yet Eternity can be held in captivity, imprisoned for all to see.
- 30:45The second that plunged me into eternity held forever, said, and it shall
- 30:55be rewarded, and perhaps I shall be here with a supreme effort. I
- 31:03stretched out my arm for the bedside lamp and switched it on. There was
- 31:07no one there. The room was empty. Welcome back. Well, these
- 31:23are some cooperative suspects. He just shows up and they lay all their motives
- 31:30out. At least I think we've seen most of them, seriously, A
- 31:33good job at kind of an establishing shot of the case and what everybody's into,
- 31:40and then ending with the spooky ghosts. So what exactly is going on
- 31:48here? Well, that's anybody's guess unless you've listened to the whole series.
