Feral Zone 22 DEERFRANCE: UNDERGROUND GODDESS
The singer, guitarist, and songwriter was a close associate of John Cale, providing the haunting vocals on “Only Time Will Tell” and touring with his group for several years. A Lower East Side luminary, she was the talent booker at Max’s Kansas City and door person at CBGB, palled around with Eno and Tom Verlaine, and toured Europe with Television. Deerfrance joins René in the Feral Zone with her bassist and Tav Falco’s Panther Burns alum Kai Eric to discuss the glory days of NYC punk, their new record, “The Sad Electronic Now,” and the current state of the world.
