- 0:07SPEAKER_01: I would be shagging a frog.
- 0:09SPEAKER_01: Oh, sorry.
- 0:10SPEAKER_01: I want to fuck him.
- 0:12SPEAKER_01: Ellis is currently pouring us a prosecco, and because we're celebrating the first ever episode of Can't Until Next Thursday.
- 0:21SPEAKER_00: Yay!
- 0:23SPEAKER_01: Cheers, everyone.
- 0:25SPEAKER_01: Cheers, guys.
- 0:26SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 0:26SPEAKER_01: This is Can't Until Next Thursday, our new podcast where we get together once a week to have a catch-up because our lives have gotten so busy that we can only catch up in this way.
- 0:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah, tell them.
- 0:37SPEAKER_03: That's how I be.
- 0:38SPEAKER_03: Over here in the blonde wig, we've got what do you mean, wig?
- 0:42SPEAKER_03: This is all natural.
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: And I'm not going to address the fact that we're just the cheerleaders.
- 0:45SPEAKER_01: So I'm Ollie Goodliffe.
- 0:47SPEAKER_02: Oh, we're going full names, are we?
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: I'm trying to build my brand.
- 0:50SPEAKER_02: Oh, okay.
- 0:50SPEAKER_02: I don't need to build a brand, so I'm just Layla.
- 0:52SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 0:53SPEAKER_03: And I'm now slash Ellis.
- 0:55SPEAKER_03: I have two names because one's not enough.
- 0:57SPEAKER_03: Ellis is my government name, but it's spelled stupidly.
- 1:00SPEAKER_01: Spell it for us.
- 1:01SPEAKER_03: E-L-L-Y-C-E.
- 1:03SPEAKER_01: And your last name.
- 1:04SPEAKER_03: No, I'm not spelling my last name.
- 1:06SPEAKER_01: I also, is it weird that I only was the person to full name myself?
- 1:09SPEAKER_01: But yeah, I've I felt very Ollie's a much more common name than Ellis or Layla.
- 1:14SPEAKER_01: That's true.
- 1:16SPEAKER_01: You're so right.
- 1:17SPEAKER_01: Yeah, my brand, Oli G.
- 1:19SPEAKER_01: So how was everyone's week?
- 1:21SPEAKER_01: I mean, peek behind the curtain, it's Monday, so how was everyone's week last week?
- 1:25SPEAKER_01: Stop ruining stop ruining the fantasy.
- 1:27SPEAKER_02: Yeah, sorry, yeah.
- 1:28SPEAKER_02: What are you doing?
- 1:29SPEAKER_02: My week last week.
- 1:30SPEAKER_03: It was good.
- 1:30SPEAKER_03: I've had a new lodger come in and move in with me.
- 1:34SPEAKER_03: So it's not going well.
- 1:38SPEAKER_03: I have quite a lot of bones to pick.
- 1:40SPEAKER_03: Fun fact, it's Ollie Goodliffe who's moved in with me.
- 1:43SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:44SPEAKER_02: So intrigued by this as well because I haven't heard anything about this.
- 1:47SPEAKER_02: Admittedly, it hasn't been that long yet.
- 1:48SPEAKER_01: So if things have already for, you know, in the lodger's defence.
- 1:52SPEAKER_01: Uh the lodger might have moved in on Friday, but then I've only slept there twice.
- 1:56SPEAKER_01: So it's it's very new.
- 1:57SPEAKER_01: That is true.
- 1:58SPEAKER_01: I think you've been there a total of like 12 hours.
- 2:00SPEAKER_01: I mean, the only things I have in your house are one change of clothes.
- 2:04SPEAKER_01: So I wouldn't say I've And do you think you get more?
- 2:08SPEAKER_03: I don't know why you think you can bring more in thanks.
- 2:10SPEAKER_01: I wouldn't say I've like fully moved in at this point.
- 2:12SPEAKER_03: Still a spare room vibe.
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: I also haven't paid yet, so yeah.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah, or seen a concert.
- 2:21SPEAKER_01: What in your house is worth a month and a half?
- 2:23SPEAKER_03: How dare you?
- 2:24SPEAKER_03: The dog alone.
- 2:25SPEAKER_01: The dog is not worth a month and a half.
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: What's he insured for?
- 2:29SPEAKER_01: 20 quid.
- 2:32SPEAKER_03: How dare you?
- 2:34SPEAKER_03: Don't speak about Loki that way.
- 2:36SPEAKER_03: My god.
- 2:36SPEAKER_03: Loki is friend of the podcast.
- 2:38SPEAKER_03: He will be a he will make appearances for sure.
- 2:42SPEAKER_01: 1000%.
- 2:43SPEAKER_01: Later, later.
- 2:44SPEAKER_01: He can't steal the spotlight.
- 2:45SPEAKER_01: No, because he would.
- 2:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he would.
- 2:47SPEAKER_01: He'd be barking.
- 2:48SPEAKER_02: Is he camera shy though?
- 2:49SPEAKER_01: Like, has he been on camera?
- 2:50SPEAKER_02: He's not camera shy.
- 2:51SPEAKER_02: He he rolls, he rolls right over and it's like, hey.
- 2:56SPEAKER_01: So back to the podcast.
- 2:57SPEAKER_01: Um, now we've been satellited.
- 2:59SPEAKER_01: My week was great.
- 3:00SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 3:00SPEAKER_03: Oh, tell us that.
- 3:02SPEAKER_01: Well, it's actually it's been very up and down.
- 3:04SPEAKER_01: But my story I wanted to bring to the podcast that I think you guys will find really funny is um I've been ghosted this week.
- 3:10SPEAKER_01: Stop.
- 3:11SPEAKER_01: No genuine shock.
- 3:12SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 3:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like actually what the hell.
- 3:14SPEAKER_01: I don't want to get cancelled off this, but people don't ghost me.
- 3:16SPEAKER_01: Wait, I need a minute for the hair in my lungs.
- 3:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah, sorry, what?
- 3:20SPEAKER_02: Ghosted.
- 3:21SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 3:21SPEAKER_01: Tell us more.
- 3:22SPEAKER_01: Well, it also, I will say, I now have a new appreciation for ghosting because I have ghosted people before, but I think I've ghosted people that was valid.
- 3:30SPEAKER_01: Like either they were not a good person or like the conversation just fizzled out and like you know natural.
- 3:37SPEAKER_01: It just happened.
- 3:38SPEAKER_01: Double texting.
- 3:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but yeah.
- 3:39SPEAKER_01: But no, I I went on our date with this guy.
- 3:41SPEAKER_01: We had like a coffee day before.
- 3:43SPEAKER_01: But you're gay.
- 3:49SPEAKER_01: I'm a straight Christian woman.
- 3:51SPEAKER_01: Like what I'm Quinn for Bray.
- 3:53SPEAKER_01: I'm in the chastity club.
- 3:55SPEAKER_01: What's it celibacy club?
- 3:56SPEAKER_01: I'm in the Celibacy Club Engly.
- 3:58SPEAKER_01: That was really funny.
- 3:59SPEAKER_01: Um that was great.
- 4:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah, thank you for outing me to the audience.
- 4:02SPEAKER_01: Um no, we had a pre-coffee date first, to just check the vibe was good and it and it was good.
- 4:06SPEAKER_01: We had a really good time.
- 4:07SPEAKER_01: We didn't drink, obviously, it was coffee day, and it was like chat chat chat chat chat.
- 4:11SPEAKER_01: So we went for cinema and dinner last week, and we had a nice time.
- 4:17SPEAKER_01: Wait, so this was second day.
- 4:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but first proper, if you know what I mean.
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: But we had like a super nice time, and like, but it wasn't very flirty.
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: There was no kiss goodbye, etc.
- 4:26SPEAKER_01: etc.
- 4:27SPEAKER_01: And I was already thinking leaving.
- 4:29SPEAKER_01: I mean, he said when we left, he was like, Oh, like I'll text you when I get home, blah blah blah.
- 4:33SPEAKER_01: And I was already thinking leaving, like, do I want another day?
- 4:35SPEAKER_01: And I was like, Yeah, like it's it wasn't bad.
- 4:37SPEAKER_01: Just like for me, I just like see where it goes.
- 4:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and then so I text him when I got home and he sort of he messaged back in the morning, and then I text him again, and then never heard from him again.
- 4:47SPEAKER_01: Ghosted.
- 4:48SPEAKER_01: Well, he could have died, which would be a more logical explanation.
- 4:51SPEAKER_03: That makes sense.
- 4:52SPEAKER_03: Yeah, let's run with that.
- 4:53SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so rest in peace to this guy.
- 4:55SPEAKER_01: Cheers to him.
- 4:56SPEAKER_01: But yeah, I mean, I did tell him about the podcast, so I hope he's listening.
- 4:59SPEAKER_01: Oh my god.
- 5:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but like I say, he he could be dead.
- 5:02SPEAKER_01: So that happened on Sex in the City, remember?
- 5:05SPEAKER_01: I actually don't remember what bit you're talking about.
- 5:07SPEAKER_01: Miranda goes on a date with a guy.
- 5:09SPEAKER_01: He stands her up for a date, a blind date or something like that, and she calls him and his mum answers, and she's like, He's dead.
- 5:14SPEAKER_01: Yes, yeah, oh my god.
- 5:16SPEAKER_01: I mean it's a TV show.
- 5:20SPEAKER_01: Should I call him and see if his mum answers?
- 5:22SPEAKER_01: Great idea.
- 5:23SPEAKER_01: Do it now on the podcast.
- 5:24SPEAKER_01: Sharply.
- 5:25SPEAKER_01: I'm absolutely not.
- 5:26SPEAKER_01: Um, yeah, so I think it's I'd like obviously if I'd cared enough, I would have double text, you know, like if I was just just to see what happens.
- 5:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you weren't vibing, like you weren't 100% in it.
- 5:38SPEAKER_01: I also because he was so nice, and he also he spoke about like how many like traumatic dates he'd had, and like he'd had been really bad luck with dating, and he just seemed like a really nice guy.
- 5:47SPEAKER_01: I just didn't think it was his type to ghost.
- 5:50SPEAKER_02: No, it doesn't sound like the guy he is, but is this just like fuckboy behavior though, isn't it?
- 5:55SPEAKER_02: It's the furthest thing from a fuck boy I cannot describe.
- 5:58SPEAKER_02: Well, is he so just men?
- 6:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah, always men.
- 6:02SPEAKER_02: Just men.
- 6:02SPEAKER_01: That was my week.
- 6:03SPEAKER_01: But anyway, so yeah, it's been spin up and down, it's been up and down.
- 6:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Layla, how's how's your week been?
- 6:07SPEAKER_02: Hey, how's my week been?
- 6:10SPEAKER_02: I've had better weeks, I'm not gonna lie.
- 6:12SPEAKER_02: I'm I'm throwing it out there, you know, life life is real and sometimes it sucks.
- 6:16SPEAKER_02: Oh cheers, cheers to that.
- 6:18SPEAKER_02: Um, and it's okay not to be okay, and that's the most important thing.
- 6:21SPEAKER_02: It's okay not to be okay.
- 6:22SPEAKER_02: And if you're taking meds, take your meds.
- 6:24SPEAKER_02: This is your reminder.
- 6:26SPEAKER_02: Do it because turns out I say this all the time antidepressants really do make you not depressed.
- 6:31SPEAKER_02: It's it's crazy because it's in the name as well.
- 6:33SPEAKER_02: It's like so cra like so wild.
- 6:35SPEAKER_03: They had a great marketing person, Lady.
- 6:37SPEAKER_03: Honestly, genius.
- 6:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 6:39SPEAKER_02: Antidepressants make you non-depressed.
- 6:41SPEAKER_02: Crazy stuff.
- 6:42SPEAKER_02: So you're back on.
- 6:43SPEAKER_02: We're back on, we're feeling better, and like I say, it's okay to have bad weeks.
- 6:47SPEAKER_02: It's okay.
- 6:48SPEAKER_02: And last week was definitely one of those weeks.
- 6:50SPEAKER_02: I mean, don't get me wrong, I needed a good cry, and it I can't lie about glorious.
- 6:53SPEAKER_02: So yeah, you know, you know, pros and cons, pros and cons.
- 6:55SPEAKER_01: Because you can't get that out when you're on antidepressants.
- 6:58SPEAKER_02: I think so.
- 6:58SPEAKER_02: Antidepressants definitely make me like more like yeah, just like the the the emotions are a little bit lapsed, so it's like yeah, it's like numbing you, isn't it?
- 7:07SPEAKER_02: It is.
- 7:07SPEAKER_02: So I feel like that is also the other thing, is because I had been very consistent with them.
- 7:11SPEAKER_02: Then I stopped taking them because that's just like the little routine I like to do.
- 7:14SPEAKER_02: Um, and then yeah, it just really hit me this time, and like the tears were coming, and I was I was enjoying it to be fair.
- 7:19SPEAKER_02: Yeah, sometimes you need a little break.
- 7:21SPEAKER_02: You know what I mean?
- 7:21SPEAKER_01: Sometimes you've got to have a sad wear.
- 7:23SPEAKER_02: Sometimes you need to sometimes you gotta have a have a teary wear.
- 7:26SPEAKER_02: Literally, like just have a sad, you know, have some music going.
- 7:30SPEAKER_02: Yeah, a bit of a double.
- 7:31SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 7:32SPEAKER_01: So you're feeling better today.
- 7:33SPEAKER_02: I feel so slay, I feel so amazing.
- 7:35SPEAKER_01: You look incredible.
- 7:36SPEAKER_02: Thank you, thank you.
- 7:37SPEAKER_02: I think they're always up and down days, and I think that's okay.
- 7:40SPEAKER_02: It is weird that Brittany S.
- 7:41SPEAKER_03: Pierce has decided to dye her hair black.
- 7:43SPEAKER_03: That's not very on brand for her.
- 7:45SPEAKER_00: Sorry.
- 7:46SPEAKER_01: I have not seen these pictures.
- 7:48SPEAKER_02: This is Brittany S.
- 7:49SPEAKER_02: Pierce right here.
- 7:51SPEAKER_02: What do you mean?
- 7:53SPEAKER_02: What do you mean?
- 7:54SPEAKER_01: Sorry, sorry, sorry.
- 7:55SPEAKER_01: She's got an emo face.
- 7:57SPEAKER_01: Yes, because Santana's dead.
- 7:58SPEAKER_03: Yes, oh sorry.
- 8:00SPEAKER_01: If we're gonna go there, we're gonna go there.
- 8:02SPEAKER_01: Is this the perfect segue?
- 8:03SPEAKER_01: Perfect segue to go into our next segment.
- 8:05SPEAKER_01: We want to talk about the pop culture moments of the week.
- 8:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 8:09SPEAKER_01: Or it's actually, let me tell you, it's called a revival by Disney and Hulu.
- 8:14SPEAKER_01: It's I I kind of think a reboot is like, and just like that was to Sex and the City, like it's a continuation of the story, but it's not necessarily the same format, exactly the same characters, blah blah blah.
- 8:24SPEAKER_01: But I think revival to me is like it will be like season seven.
- 8:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you're bringing it back and it's not and it's not necessarily that it's gonna be exactly the same, but it feels like it's gonna have a lot of the say old characters.
- 8:37SPEAKER_03: Yeah, is it gonna be like the Kardashians when they rebranded from keeping up to just the Kardashians?
- 8:40SPEAKER_03: Is this just gonna be new directions or something like that?
- 8:44SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's gonna be called.
- 8:45SPEAKER_01: I think it's still gonna be called Glee.
- 8:46SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I mean it will be surely, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 8:48SPEAKER_01: Because they said revival again, not reboot.
- 8:50SPEAKER_01: But that's all we know so far.
- 8:52SPEAKER_01: Like it's just been announced, it's come back.
- 8:53SPEAKER_01: I mean, it was literally last week, but I think we're all super excited.
- 8:56SPEAKER_01: Um hence the outfits, and it's also Halloween week, so it just made sense.
- 9:01SPEAKER_01: It made sense.
- 9:02SPEAKER_01: It was the right thing to do.
- 9:03SPEAKER_02: I mean, I can't lie, I do like kind of feel like a little bit of a fake fan sitting here in this outfit.
- 9:08SPEAKER_02: Leila, can you tell tell us how many seasons of Glee you've actually seen?
- 9:11SPEAKER_01: Wait, wait, how many seasons of Glee are there?
- 9:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 9:12SPEAKER_01: I've just told you the answer.
- 9:15SPEAKER_02: Seven.
- 9:15SPEAKER_02: Well, there's six, but there will be seven.
- 9:18SPEAKER_02: There will be seven.
- 9:19SPEAKER_02: Maybe.
- 9:19SPEAKER_02: I actually thought there was more of that.
- 9:21SPEAKER_02: Actually, surprises.
- 9:21SPEAKER_02: Tell us how many you've seen.
- 9:23SPEAKER_02: I finished season one.
- 9:25SPEAKER_01: Well, let's actually put in it should have ended after season three slash four.
- 9:30SPEAKER_01: Go! Damn.
- 9:31unknown: Yeah.
- 9:32SPEAKER_01: If you've only seen up to season three, forgive you.
- 9:34SPEAKER_01: Because that's fine.
- 9:35SPEAKER_02: I haven't even done that, so.
- 9:36SPEAKER_01: Even season three was not as good as season one and two.
- 9:38SPEAKER_01: Of course it wasn't.
- 9:39SPEAKER_01: Season one and two are peak best TV ever.
- 9:42SPEAKER_01: TV season.
- 9:42SPEAKER_02: Don't give me I mean, don't get me wrong, what I've watched so far, hilarious.
- 9:46SPEAKER_02: Like, so good.
- 9:47SPEAKER_01: I but I wonder if it's as funny to me because I watched it at those pivotal years.
- 9:51SPEAKER_01: Like I and now I watch it, it's nostalgic.
- 9:53SPEAKER_02: So But I think it's fun, like it's funny.
- 9:56SPEAKER_02: It's a great show.
- 9:56SPEAKER_03: I used to watch it with my sister, and she would just like fast forward the singing bits.
- 10:01SPEAKER_02: What the hell?
- 10:02SPEAKER_02: What do you mean?
- 10:03SPEAKER_02: The best the best bit.
- 10:04SPEAKER_01: Some of them were bad.
- 10:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 10:05SPEAKER_01: Like all very problematic.
- 10:07SPEAKER_03: Some of them are very questionable, I have to say.
- 10:09SPEAKER_03: Um, Mr.
- 10:10SPEAKER_03: Shu singing um toxic in front of the whole auditorium.
- 10:13SPEAKER_01: Song songs.
- 10:14SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 10:14SPEAKER_03: Oh, no, stop, because I know what you're talking about.
- 10:17SPEAKER_01: And that is a relevant season one.
- 10:19SPEAKER_01: Season one.
- 10:19SPEAKER_02: That is not good.
- 10:21SPEAKER_01: That man should not be involved in the Glee vibe.
- 10:23SPEAKER_01: Let's be honest.
- 10:24SPEAKER_02: Surely he is gonna be gonna be there.
- 10:26SPEAKER_01: Well, that's an interesting segue into my next point about Glee.
- 10:29SPEAKER_01: So I've collated the list of people, we wouldn't say they were confirmed coming back, but they have either reposted the news or you know, commented on it in an interview or something.
- 10:40SPEAKER_01: So we think it's very likely they'll come back.
- 10:41SPEAKER_01: They're also the original cast members, which I think is kind of guaranteed if they wanted to come back, they would.
- 10:46SPEAKER_01: And later cast members might have to fight for a place or maybe not get it.
- 10:51SPEAKER_01: But the so I'm gonna read you the list, I've got it written down.
- 10:53SPEAKER_01: Um, these are the characters, not the actors.
- 10:55SPEAKER_01: So Rachel, Leah Michelle, yes, yes, Britney S.
- 10:59SPEAKER_01: Pierce, Heather Morris, if you want to draw this.
- 11:01SPEAKER_01: Sam, Cordover Street.
- 11:03SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 11:03SPEAKER_01: Artie, what's his name?
- 11:05SPEAKER_01: Oh my god.
- 11:06SPEAKER_01: Kevin McHale.
- 11:07SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 11:07SPEAKER_01: Sue Sylvester.
- 11:09SPEAKER_03: Oh my god, Jane Lynch.
- 11:10SPEAKER_03: Incredible.
- 11:11SPEAKER_03: Incredible.
- 11:12SPEAKER_01: Only because of her recent TikTok, Quinn Fabray, Diane.
- 11:16SPEAKER_03: I thought she was like not doing Oh, you're so right.
- 11:18SPEAKER_03: I saw that.
- 11:19SPEAKER_01: She did the Say A Little Prayer for You TikTok.
- 11:21SPEAKER_03: And that was her.
- 11:22SPEAKER_01: Well, she posted it the day after.
- 11:24SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 11:24SPEAKER_01: So I'm not saying that's confirmed.
- 11:26SPEAKER_01: This is all rumour, but I would say likely she's coming back.
- 11:28SPEAKER_01: And I saw this really funny tweet that said, if the Glee Revival comes back, it will tell us whether she was has been unemployed since out of choice, or because she couldn't get another acting gig.
- 11:38SPEAKER_01: So if she comes back and does it, it's because she couldn't get another acting gig.
- 11:44SPEAKER_03: I don't know why.
- 11:45SPEAKER_03: I loved her character.
- 11:46SPEAKER_01: I love her, she's so gorgeous.
- 11:48SPEAKER_02: She doesn't, although I swear she doesn't need to do an acting gig because I thought she does like jazz blues singing.
- 11:53SPEAKER_02: Like tell us more.
- 11:55SPEAKER_01: Fact check, fact check, fact check, fact check.
- 11:57SPEAKER_02: Someone please do fact check.
- 11:58SPEAKER_02: But like I swear to God that she's like doing she has something else.
- 12:02SPEAKER_01: She does something else.
- 12:03SPEAKER_02: I've seen TikToks of her like just like performing in bars doing like blues and jazz.
- 12:06SPEAKER_01: Like some smooth jazz.
- 12:09SPEAKER_03: The only thing I know that she's done since is the Sam Smith music video.
- 12:13SPEAKER_02: Oh my god, you're so right.
- 12:16SPEAKER_01: The lore of Sam Smith and this friendship is crazy, but I think that's another episode.
- 12:20SPEAKER_01: That's a story time.
- 12:20SPEAKER_03: I'll give you guys some story times at another point.
- 12:23SPEAKER_01: That's a teaser.
- 12:24SPEAKER_01: You've got to keep listening to future episodes, but there's a there's a great story.
- 12:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 12:27SPEAKER_01: Alice, my question to you then was sorry Layla.
- 12:29SPEAKER_01: Um, I've mentioned some core characters.
- 12:32SPEAKER_01: Is there anybody I didn't mention that you're very upset they wouldn't be coming back, or they have to come back?
- 12:38SPEAKER_03: Okay, well, it goes without saying that I'm upset that Naira Fair won't be on it.
- 12:42SPEAKER_01: What a hot take.
- 12:43SPEAKER_01: What a hot take.
- 12:44SPEAKER_01: Santana.
- 12:45SPEAKER_01: I'm sorry, I don't think the show will ever be the same without her.
- 12:48SPEAKER_03: Like it's her vocals, it's her vocals as well that it's gonna miss.
- 12:51SPEAKER_01: It's her iconic lie.
- 12:53SPEAKER_03: It's ever yeah.
- 12:54SPEAKER_01: Kills people with her vicious, vicious same as Sue Sylvester, like she's already got a family, she's a mother.
- 13:01SPEAKER_03: So yeah, she she invented reading.
- 13:03SPEAKER_03: She invented reading.
- 13:05SPEAKER_03: The library was open.
- 13:05SPEAKER_03: Yeah, the library was open when Santana opened it.
- 13:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 13:08SPEAKER_01: Santana, and unfortunately, I think it's dead with with her, unfortunately, like sadly.
- 13:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 13:13SPEAKER_01: So so that would be sad.
- 13:16SPEAKER_01: I I Puck not being in it, fine.
- 13:19SPEAKER_01: It was a pedophile, let's move on.
- 13:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 13:20SPEAKER_01: Finn is sad, but I personally don't think Finn makes the show.
- 13:24SPEAKER_03: But we do need that male like hero character to fill in.
- 13:28SPEAKER_01: Alice has so many men in the world.
- 13:29SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah.
- 13:30SPEAKER_03: Don't tell me about it.
- 13:32SPEAKER_03: Don't I know?
- 13:33SPEAKER_01: I think to me, the ones that have to have to be come back are Rachel, Santa Ana, and Sue.
- 13:39SPEAKER_01: Like everybody else I could take or leave.
- 13:41SPEAKER_01: Not that I don't love other people.
- 13:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 13:42SPEAKER_03: But like I will be entirely honest with you.
- 13:44SPEAKER_03: I think if Jane Lynch wasn't gonna be in it, I don't think I would be watching it.
- 13:48SPEAKER_01: You're such a liar.
- 13:49SPEAKER_01: We're doing a review series on this podcast.
- 13:51SPEAKER_01: Sorry guys, spoiler.
- 13:52SPEAKER_03: Um okay, fine, I would watch it, but I'd be unhappy about it.
- 13:56SPEAKER_01: Do you know what one of my favourite lines of Glee, as you just reminded me, is um when Sandy he goes, Who is Just Groben?
- 14:01SPEAKER_01: Who yourself?
- 14:02SPEAKER_03: Literally, one of the most iconic deliveries of a line in cinema.
- 14:06SPEAKER_01: That is such a good line in history.
- 14:08SPEAKER_01: So good.
- 14:09SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 14:10SPEAKER_03: Oh my god.
- 14:10SPEAKER_03: When she's talking to Kurt and she says, Do you know who the only person is that should tell you who you are?
- 14:15SPEAKER_03: Me?
- 14:15SPEAKER_03: No, me.
- 14:16SPEAKER_03: So Sylvester.
- 14:17SPEAKER_01: Incredible.
- 14:18SPEAKER_01: So you're like show tunes.
- 14:19SPEAKER_01: That doesn't mean you're gay, it just means you're awful.
- 14:24SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 14:26SPEAKER_03: I can't see Glee without those quips.
- 14:28SPEAKER_01: I also think probably important to note, Ryan Murphy only finished the script a few weeks ago and he said that on a red carpet.
- 14:34SPEAKER_01: He said, like I finished it the day before or that day.
- 14:36SPEAKER_01: So I would say he's that was the pilot episode.
- 14:38SPEAKER_01: I would say we're probably up to two years away from anything.
- 14:42SPEAKER_01: Like it's not gonna be next year.
- 14:43SPEAKER_01: Watch the space people.
- 14:44SPEAKER_03: Hang around for a while.
- 14:45SPEAKER_01: And I think you had questions as well.
- 14:47SPEAKER_03: I did have some questions.
- 14:48SPEAKER_03: So oh my god, I'm gonna absolutely force Is it like a test?
- 14:51SPEAKER_03: No, no, no, no, no.
- 14:52SPEAKER_03: It's not a test, so it's not a test.
- 14:53SPEAKER_03: It's just like you you know enough about Glee to answer these.
- 14:55SPEAKER_03: Okay, so we're gonna start with let me also sip some process.
- 14:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah, hydration break.
- 15:00SPEAKER_03: Now I was doing a football reference in this podcast.
- 15:02SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna cut that out.
- 15:05SPEAKER_03: So my questions are we're gonna start easy, and then the last one's kind of like a silly one.
- 15:09SPEAKER_03: But anyway, first question What character are you and why?
- 15:14SPEAKER_01: I I hate to say it, but I am Kurt, I know.
- 15:16SPEAKER_03: Like is that just because you're gay?
- 15:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 15:19SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 15:19SPEAKER_01: And like, I like um and I like show tunes.
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: I love show tunes.
- 15:24SPEAKER_01: The thing is, uh Chris Colfert, no offense to him, like love him.
- 15:27SPEAKER_01: Love Chris Colfer.
- 15:28SPEAKER_01: I don't like Kurt's character, I think he's so annoying.
- 15:29SPEAKER_01: No, he's yeah, he's the only openly gay kid in school.
- 15:32SPEAKER_01: He's camp, like, you know, I'm not a Blaine or whatever.
- 15:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so I just think Cut.
- 15:37SPEAKER_03: That would be mine.
- 15:38SPEAKER_03: Interesting.
- 15:38SPEAKER_03: I really didn't think you were gonna go for that for some reason.
- 15:41SPEAKER_03: Do you want the same to be fair?
- 15:42SPEAKER_03: What do you think I'd say?
- 15:42SPEAKER_03: I thought you were gonna go for Quinforbre.
- 15:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I did also get pregnant at 16.
- 15:48SPEAKER_01: Layla, who who what glee character do you think?
- 15:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah, um great question.
- 15:54SPEAKER_02: I know them all so well.
- 15:55SPEAKER_02: I know them all by name.
- 15:57SPEAKER_02: Tell us tell us what they look like.
- 15:59SPEAKER_02: Oh, that's a tough one.
- 16:00SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 16:01SPEAKER_02: I'm definitely not main character Leah Michelle.
- 16:04SPEAKER_02: Yeah, like that's obviously you, I feel.
- 16:06SPEAKER_02: Just saying.
- 16:07SPEAKER_02: Me posting singing TikTok.
- 16:09SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's you.
- 16:11SPEAKER_02: Um I I don't know.
- 16:13SPEAKER_01: Am I bitchy enough to be I thought Santana, maybe.
- 16:16SPEAKER_03: I feel like as much as I want to be Santana, and I am sat here today dressed as Santana, in case you didn't notice.
- 16:23SPEAKER_03: Um sorry, how does that work out?
- 16:26SPEAKER_03: I am just Santana.
- 16:27SPEAKER_03: I'm sorry if there's if out of the I don't know.
- 16:30SPEAKER_02: What am I?
- 16:31SPEAKER_02: Who am I?
- 16:32SPEAKER_02: Who am I?
- 16:32SPEAKER_02: Who do you think I am?
- 16:34SPEAKER_01: Uh let the viewers decide.
- 16:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you four people, we'll put a part on our Instagram story and you tell us.
- 16:40SPEAKER_01: I actually don't know if there is a character that you're very similar to, Layla.
- 16:43SPEAKER_01: I don't know either.
- 16:44SPEAKER_01: I'm just so unique.
- 16:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no one's no one's quite a flop like you are, Layla.
- 16:48SPEAKER_03: Zarry Oh, you make such a maybe like a recurring character in the background.
- 16:53SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 16:53SPEAKER_03: Maybe like Lauren Zyes.
- 16:55SPEAKER_03: Lawrence Ideas she won't know who that is.
- 16:58SPEAKER_03: It's not me.
- 16:59SPEAKER_01: And let's keep it that way.
- 17:02SPEAKER_01: Alice, who would you be?
- 17:03SPEAKER_03: I right, obviously Rachel.
- 17:06SPEAKER_03: Obviously, I want to be Rachel in a weird way because obviously she's a loser.
- 17:10SPEAKER_01: I think Rachel's the best character.
- 17:12SPEAKER_02: She is.
- 17:12SPEAKER_02: Gellie's iconic.
- 17:13SPEAKER_01: She's so talented.
- 17:14SPEAKER_02: People just don't get her.
- 17:16SPEAKER_02: She's misunderstood.
- 17:17SPEAKER_02: She's misunderstood.
- 17:18SPEAKER_01: She's a horrible person.
- 17:19SPEAKER_01: She sent sunshine to a crackhouse.
- 17:20SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 17:21SPEAKER_03: And I would do something like that.
- 17:23SPEAKER_01: You would do that for the smallest thing.
- 17:25SPEAKER_03: I would.
- 17:25SPEAKER_03: I'm sorry, but if I if it means me not getting the lead in something, obviously I'm gonna send someone to a crackhouse.
- 17:30SPEAKER_01: I love in that storyline, it wasn't her getting the lead in something, it's just that she would come in and be successful.
- 17:34SPEAKER_01: And Rachel's like, nah, don't want that.
- 17:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's actually so true.
- 17:37SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I think I think it makes the most sense.
- 17:40SPEAKER_03: Obviously, I want to be a Tantana, but I just don't think I'm as hard as she is.
- 17:43SPEAKER_03: I think I am a bit more like a anyway.
- 17:46SPEAKER_03: My second question what's the best cover?
- 17:49SPEAKER_03: What is the best song that they do?
- 17:51SPEAKER_03: If you could it like give me if you can't think of one.
- 17:53SPEAKER_03: Okay, I'm gonna name like ten.
- 17:56SPEAKER_01: You could do it for me.
- 17:57SPEAKER_01: Turning Tables, Gweneth Paltrow.
- 17:59SPEAKER_01: That was great.
- 18:00SPEAKER_01: Incredible one.
- 18:01SPEAKER_01: I loved everything that the um what were the girl group uh called the Troubletones?
- 18:06SPEAKER_01: Everything they did like I will survive Survivor, um, um, rumor has it, someone like you.
- 18:11SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 18:12SPEAKER_01: Do I love Adele?
- 18:12SPEAKER_01: Those are all my favourite covers.
- 18:14SPEAKER_01: You do love Adele.
- 18:15SPEAKER_01: I'm an emotional bitch.
- 18:16SPEAKER_01: What can I say?
- 18:16SPEAKER_03: Can I just say building on your Gwyneth Paltrow moment, um, landslide with her, Britney, and Santana, an incredible moment.
- 18:23SPEAKER_03: You would love this.
- 18:23SPEAKER_03: A Fleetwood Mac moment.
- 18:24SPEAKER_03: There's a Fleetwood Mac episode, Layla.
- 18:27SPEAKER_02: Oh my god, tell me all of that.
- 18:30SPEAKER_01: And it the reason it wins is because of iconicness.
- 18:33SPEAKER_01: It is let's have a Kiki, turkey lurky time, Sarah Jessica Barker.
- 18:39SPEAKER_03: What?
- 18:40SPEAKER_03: Obviously, we need to talk about.
- 18:41SPEAKER_03: I'm hoping you've seen this bit, Smooth Criminal with the violins, the two cellos, the two cellos.
- 18:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah, fuck him.
- 18:51SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 18:51SPEAKER_01: Oh, sorry, I want to fuck him.
- 18:53SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 18:54SPEAKER_03: Both fuck him and no, I like both.
- 18:57SPEAKER_03: And that because they were He threw glass in Blaine's eye.
- 19:00SPEAKER_01: It is so annoying.
- 19:01SPEAKER_01: Like, fair, I would throw a glass in his eye.
- 19:04SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 19:04SPEAKER_01: Um that was so good because he's the bitchy gay, Santana's the bitchy gay, and it was the sexual tension between a lesbian and a gay man.
- 19:13SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 19:14SPEAKER_03: You're so right, you're so right.
- 19:15SPEAKER_03: And I know everything about that.
- 19:17SPEAKER_03: That was that was hungry.
- 19:18SPEAKER_03: Being engaged to a gay man.
- 19:23SPEAKER_03: Um Layla, please, if you can, try to comment.
- 19:27SPEAKER_03: And if you say don't stop believing, Journey, we will end the podcast if she says those thoughts on the song.
- 19:32SPEAKER_02: Okay, do you know what?
- 19:33SPEAKER_02: The one glee song that I have on my phone, which I don't know why I have it.
- 19:38SPEAKER_02: Well, one glee song that you have on your phone, Leila.
- 19:40SPEAKER_02: Actually, that's why I have two, because one of them is the thriller slash an editor roll.
- 19:44SPEAKER_01: That is iconic.
- 19:46SPEAKER_01: Oh my god.
- 19:47SPEAKER_02: Great scene, great episode.
- 19:48SPEAKER_02: There we go.
- 19:50SPEAKER_01: That oh my god, I've got good sponsors.
- 19:51SPEAKER_01: That's what I'm saying.
- 19:52SPEAKER_01: There you go.
- 19:52SPEAKER_02: That's that's it.
- 19:53SPEAKER_03: That's my song recommendation.
- 19:54SPEAKER_01: Great.
- 19:55SPEAKER_03: So my last and final question, which is kind of funny, and I feel like you both kind of hate me for it.
- 20:00SPEAKER_03: Oh gosh.
- 20:00SPEAKER_03: Um, is we've got Shagmary Kill.
- 20:03SPEAKER_03: Great.
- 20:03SPEAKER_03: And be careful who you kill because there is a curse.
- 20:06SPEAKER_02: Oh.
- 20:08SPEAKER_01: Did I say everything in this podcast is conjecture and not real?
- 20:10SPEAKER_01: And obviously, if we say we're killing someone, why don't we say avoid?
- 20:15SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 20:15SPEAKER_01: Only because I'm not I'm not opposed to killing people, but the um the glee curs is real, and I'm worried the revival means it could be another death on the way.
- 20:24SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 20:25SPEAKER_01: So let's let's avoid.
- 20:25SPEAKER_01: Let's avoid five.
- 20:26SPEAKER_01: Shagmary avoided.
- 20:27SPEAKER_03: Okay, Shag Mary avoid.
- 20:28SPEAKER_03: Um, we've got three options.
- 20:31SPEAKER_03: I'm I'm pretty good at this.
- 20:32SPEAKER_03: Okay, ready?
- 20:32SPEAKER_03: I think I might need help of who they are.
- 20:34SPEAKER_03: Will Schuster, Mr.
- 20:35SPEAKER_03: Schuster, you know.
- 20:36SPEAKER_01: I've already decided.
- 20:37SPEAKER_03: Careful.
- 20:38SPEAKER_03: Artie.
- 20:39SPEAKER_03: Sorry, Artie.
- 20:40SPEAKER_01: Wait, are we talking about the characters or the actors?
- 20:42SPEAKER_01: Because he's very hot and gay in real life.
- 20:43SPEAKER_03: It's the characters, sorry.
- 20:44SPEAKER_03: The characters, yeah.
- 20:45SPEAKER_03: And the last one is Matt, who is only a season one appearance.
- 20:49SPEAKER_03: The um is that the guy from the other place who no, he's just the quiet black guy that doesn't really.
- 20:54SPEAKER_03: Oh, this is so easy.
- 20:55SPEAKER_01: Okay, go.
- 20:55SPEAKER_01: Obviously, avoid Will.
- 20:56SPEAKER_01: Sorry, I'm gonna say kill Bill, sorry.
- 20:58SPEAKER_01: To go back to my previous thing.
- 21:00SPEAKER_01: Sorry.
- 21:01SPEAKER_01: Sorry, I just remembered that he dated Leah Michelle.
- 21:03SPEAKER_01: Anyway, oh my god.
- 21:05SPEAKER_02: No, I didn't.
- 21:06SPEAKER_01: Let's move on from that.
- 21:07SPEAKER_01: Um, and then obviously Shag Artie, because he is good looking.
- 21:11SPEAKER_01: Um and then marry Matt because the one line he has, he seems like a lovely guy.
- 21:16SPEAKER_03: Yeah, no, you're right.
- 21:17SPEAKER_03: Um I think that one thing about Shagging Artie is that I'd have to do a lot of the work.
- 21:23SPEAKER_01: Oh, you're so right.
- 21:25SPEAKER_03: I don't want to do that.
- 21:27SPEAKER_03: I don't want to do the work.
- 21:28SPEAKER_01: But if you marry him, you've got to do that every time.
- 21:30SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so you'd have to kill him, is that what you're saying?
- 21:32SPEAKER_01: Right, so you're avoiding the boy in the wheelchair.
- 21:35SPEAKER_01: Can I just say the fucker?
- 21:39SPEAKER_02: You you're so right, this is the only episode.
- 21:41SPEAKER_03: Um, no.
- 21:42SPEAKER_01: No, that's staying in.
- 21:44SPEAKER_03: Um, I'm just I'm just adding it as a point.
- 21:47SPEAKER_03: I'm not making my statement yet.
- 21:48SPEAKER_02: Layla, you got to- I mean, Parmi does think, like, don't get me wrong, will Schuster like that character is crazy in every way, and the dude in real life too.
- 21:56SPEAKER_02: I don't even know.
- 21:57SPEAKER_02: Um, but then part me is also like, well, Parmi will.
- 22:00SPEAKER_03: Wanna have sex with him just purely to be like like like I want to know what go on like Can I also just say touch it touch a touch don't touch me when she's flipping over flipping over that shirt.
- 22:11SPEAKER_03: Oh yeah I've seen that bit yeah I've seen that bit before a show.
- 22:14SPEAKER_01: I mean a frog would look good with a six pack, so and I and guess what?
- 22:17SPEAKER_03: I would be shagging the frog.
- 22:19SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 22:19SPEAKER_03: If the frog was in this and not Mr.
- 22:21SPEAKER_03: Schuster, and the frog had a six pack, I would be still shagging the frog.
- 22:25SPEAKER_03: This is what you need to get into your head.
- 22:28SPEAKER_01: Some of us prefer prefer brains over bronze.
- 22:33SPEAKER_02: Yeah, just for one shag.
- 22:34SPEAKER_01: I I cannot believe you're publicly on record saying you'd shag Mr.
- 22:37SPEAKER_01: Schuster.
- 22:38SPEAKER_02: Like I'm just saying I think it would be interesting.
- 22:41SPEAKER_01: Ido, Jesus.
- 22:44SPEAKER_01: You're a cheerleader.
- 22:44SPEAKER_01: No, he's not, sorry, but you're just as a cheerleader.
- 22:47SPEAKER_01: You want to shag your teacher.
- 22:48SPEAKER_01: Jesus.
- 22:48SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 22:49SPEAKER_02: How hot and sexy.
- 22:52SPEAKER_01: It's only five minutes in pretty little lines.
- 22:55SPEAKER_03: Um Layla, I need you to finish your answers.
- 22:58SPEAKER_03: Yeah, locking your answers.
- 22:59SPEAKER_01: Locking your answers, no more discussion.
- 23:00SPEAKER_03: Oh, okay.
- 23:01SPEAKER_02: Um, well oh, okay.
- 23:03SPEAKER_02: Kill off the guy that has one line.
- 23:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I'm gonna sleep with Will just because you know, I think one night could be Okay, this is interesting.
- 23:11SPEAKER_02: Um and then marry Is it Artie?
- 23:13SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 23:14SPEAKER_02: Because he's sweet, he's nice, like and you don't mind putting the work in.
- 23:17SPEAKER_02: I don't mind putting a bit of work in.
- 23:19SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you know.
- 23:20SPEAKER_03: You could carry him as well.
- 23:22SPEAKER_02: I could.
- 23:23SPEAKER_02: I actually could.
- 23:24SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 23:25SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 23:25SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 23:26SPEAKER_02: I think that could work.
- 23:27SPEAKER_03: I reckon we should have a happy marriage.
- 23:29SPEAKER_01: Um you didn't say yours.
- 23:30SPEAKER_03: Oh, mine.
- 23:31SPEAKER_03: I think I'm gonna go the same as Layla.
- 23:32SPEAKER_03: No, I'm not gonna go the same as Layla.
- 23:34SPEAKER_03: I think I'm gonna switch, I think I'm gonna switch the Marion the Kill from you.
- 23:39SPEAKER_03: Just because like we don't really know much about this Matt guy, and um I feel like I don't know, I kinda I don't know.
- 23:46SPEAKER_03: I'm just saying it'd be different.
- 23:48SPEAKER_01: Contrarian, yeah.
- 23:50SPEAKER_01: Um, I think it's funny that we got three separate answers.
- 23:52SPEAKER_01: That's very telling of our personalities.
- 23:54SPEAKER_01: Uh next I wanted to go into Halloween.
- 23:57SPEAKER_01: Let's talk about it.
- 23:58SPEAKER_01: It's coming out two days before Halloween, it's Halloween week.
- 24:01SPEAKER_01: Um, and I would say also we are massive Gleeks, but we also dressed up for Halloween.
- 24:06SPEAKER_01: So just unfortunately, this is not a dress-up podcast.
- 24:08SPEAKER_03: But and Ollie, this is one of three Halloween costumes you've got this year.
- 24:12SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 24:12SPEAKER_02: Three?
- 24:13SPEAKER_01: I've got three wigs.
- 24:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 24:14SPEAKER_01: Um, this is my Glinda wig from last year, so we're we're recycling.
- 24:18SPEAKER_01: Um, but I've got two outfits, one for Friday night.
- 24:21SPEAKER_01: More outfits.
- 24:22SPEAKER_01: Yes, which is your party.
- 24:24SPEAKER_01: And then on Saturday, it's my friend's birthday.
- 24:26SPEAKER_01: So we're going out boat party, after party, etc.
- 24:29SPEAKER_01: And I've got another outfit.
- 24:30SPEAKER_01: And unfortunately, both of those outfits are surprised.
- 24:33SPEAKER_01: So I will tell you more next Thursday.
- 24:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah!
- 24:36SPEAKER_01: But tell us about your party because it's a pretty cool concept.
- 24:39SPEAKER_03: Yes, so essentially, for the last however many years, I see you, yeah.
- 24:44SPEAKER_03: I've been hosting Halloween parties.
- 24:45SPEAKER_03: It is kind of my thing, guys.
- 24:47SPEAKER_03: It is.
- 24:48SPEAKER_03: I like the dressing up, I like the escapism, I like the creativity of the holiday.
- 24:53SPEAKER_01: It is gay Christmas, and you are a bisexual woman.
- 24:56SPEAKER_03: Thank you.
- 24:57SPEAKER_03: Let's talk about that.
- 24:59SPEAKER_03: Skip Halloween.
- 25:00SPEAKER_03: Bio Rasure is real.
- 25:03SPEAKER_03: Okay, fine.
- 25:04SPEAKER_03: No.
- 25:04SPEAKER_01: Bisexual women are their gay boyfriends.
- 25:06SPEAKER_03: I can't remember what else we've done.
- 25:07SPEAKER_01: Wicked.
- 25:08SPEAKER_03: Wicked was heroes versus villains.
- 25:10SPEAKER_01: Alphabet and Glinda, respectively.
- 25:12SPEAKER_03: Very iconic.
- 25:13SPEAKER_03: My whole body green, and it was coming off for days, maybe even weeks afterwards.
- 25:17SPEAKER_03: It looks great though.
- 25:18SPEAKER_03: Incredible.
- 25:19SPEAKER_03: And guess what?
- 25:20SPEAKER_03: I won my own contest.
- 25:21SPEAKER_03: So Yeah.
- 25:22SPEAKER_03: That was the best part.
- 25:24SPEAKER_03: So part of these Halloween parties, as you guys know, is that I like to do a little competition.
- 25:30SPEAKER_03: We like to have a winner of the costume contest.
- 25:32SPEAKER_03: It just makes people work harder, okay?
- 25:34SPEAKER_03: I need people to be turning up with their A game.
- 25:36SPEAKER_03: I need people people to bring it, okay?
- 25:38SPEAKER_03: Damn right.
- 25:39SPEAKER_03: So that's what we've been working with.
- 25:41SPEAKER_03: Last year, the prize, I actually, a little insight, guys.
- 25:45SPEAKER_03: Um, we haven't even opened the prize from last year, so guess what?
- 25:47SPEAKER_03: It will be used again.
- 25:48SPEAKER_01: Um, it was our prize because we won joint.
- 25:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 25:51SPEAKER_01: I would say we're in it for the glory, not for the It is absolutely about that.
- 25:55SPEAKER_03: However, I have been accused a few times now of um nepotism/slash favouritism.
- 26:00SPEAKER_01: Sorry, I'm just interrupting that chain of thought.
- 26:02SPEAKER_01: Last year, our outfits were the best by like five million miles.
- 26:06SPEAKER_01: I couldn't agree more.
- 26:07SPEAKER_01: And also, it's it's a democracy.
- 26:09SPEAKER_01: Like everyone loves it.
- 26:10SPEAKER_02: I disagree.
- 26:12SPEAKER_03: Sorry, did you guys see me?
- 26:14SPEAKER_03: Okay, obviously you look great, but come on, you put a wig on and a sexy outfit.
- 26:18SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 26:19SPEAKER_03: Who are you?
- 26:20SPEAKER_01: Ellis painted herself green.
- 26:22SPEAKER_01: I was um tomber, Lara Croft.
- 26:26SPEAKER_02: No, that's where everybody that's what everybody thought I was.
- 26:29SPEAKER_01: Scarlett Yohanson.
- 26:30SPEAKER_02: You was Scarlet Yohanson.
- 26:32SPEAKER_02: I was Black Widow.
- 26:32SPEAKER_02: Everybody did think I was Lara Croft.
- 26:34SPEAKER_02: I'm sorry that the age demographic was old.
- 26:36SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 26:36SPEAKER_03: Read on my friendship group.
- 26:38SPEAKER_03: Um, that's so fine.
- 26:40SPEAKER_03: Alice is the old one.
- 26:41SPEAKER_02: No, I'm you guys deserved it.
- 26:43SPEAKER_02: You guys deserved it.
- 26:44SPEAKER_02: You did great, you performed amazingly.
- 26:46SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 26:46SPEAKER_03: And then a previous year, other than that, my sister has won the competition.
- 26:50SPEAKER_03: Can I just say she spent an effing lot on the floor?
- 26:53SPEAKER_03: What was it that she won for?
- 26:54SPEAKER_03: For being Corella Deville.
- 26:56SPEAKER_02: Oh, slave.
- 26:57SPEAKER_03: She came like dressed to the nines as Corella.
- 27:00SPEAKER_03: I'm not gonna lie, she looked great last year.
- 27:02SPEAKER_03: Um, okay, well, obviously, she doesn't really want to talk about her outfit last year because she did come dressed as Dr.
- 27:06SPEAKER_03: Evil.
- 27:07SPEAKER_03: It was the first time she'd ever done non-slutty Halloween.
- 27:09SPEAKER_03: Yeah, she looks great.
- 27:10SPEAKER_01: Like, never want to do that in my life because Halloween is the one night of a year a girl can dress like a total slut, and no other girl can say anything about her.
- 27:18SPEAKER_01: And we um we take that very seriously.
- 27:21SPEAKER_03: We do take that seriously.
- 27:22SPEAKER_03: Lindsay Lohan was like parking it when she said that.
- 27:25SPEAKER_01: I mean Tina Faye wrote it, but yes.
- 27:27SPEAKER_03: Okay, but Lindsay Lohan said it.
- 27:28SPEAKER_01: I think that's why the girls on the gays love Halloween, because well, and also it's just so fun to dress up.
- 27:35SPEAKER_01: Um it's just so fun to be someone else for the night.
- 27:37SPEAKER_01: Creativity, this is what I mean.
- 27:39SPEAKER_01: Spookiness and cuteness and horror.
- 27:41SPEAKER_02: Cozy autumn.
- 27:43SPEAKER_01: On top of those great Halloween plans, we've also we're doing a pumpkin carving night.
- 27:47SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 27:48SPEAKER_03: Layla, you are invited to that, by the way.
- 27:49SPEAKER_03: You didn't.
- 27:50SPEAKER_01: This is the first Layla's hearing about it.
- 27:51SPEAKER_02: It's like, well, where's my invite?
- 27:53SPEAKER_01: Well, sorry, it's housemates only.
- 27:54unknown: Yeah.
- 27:55SPEAKER_03: You did invite Sarah the other day.
- 27:57SPEAKER_01: She's not fucking coming.
- 27:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 27:58SPEAKER_03: Friend of the podcast.
- 28:00SPEAKER_01: But yeah, so that's because I think that's also fun.
- 28:02SPEAKER_01: Like if you're even if you're not like a big drinker, like to just get together and like carve a pumpkin and watch a scary movie and watch the traitorship, obviously.
- 28:09SPEAKER_03: Yes, Halloween the concept is more than just a party on Halloween weekend.
- 28:15SPEAKER_03: It's spooky season as a whole.
- 28:17SPEAKER_03: It's like walking around and the yeah, all of the gloominess, the misty in the morning.
- 28:22SPEAKER_03: Oh, it's just, I love it so much.
- 28:24SPEAKER_03: I'm as much as I complain about the cold and everything that comes with this time of year.
- 28:28SPEAKER_01: Do you feel Halloween y this year though?
- 28:29SPEAKER_02: Like I I can't lie to you.
- 28:31SPEAKER_02: I do not feel Halloween y at all.
- 28:33SPEAKER_01: Actually, don't.
- 28:33SPEAKER_01: We've got the skull, everybody.
- 28:35SPEAKER_02: Yeah, this is our Halloween decorations.
- 28:37SPEAKER_02: I do not feel Halloween-y, I do not know what it is.
- 28:39SPEAKER_03: I think we need to be watching more horrors, people.
- 28:41SPEAKER_01: I think that's what we need to be doing.
- 28:43SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 28:44SPEAKER_01: We've had good horrors this year, like backrooms, obsession.
- 28:47SPEAKER_03: Obsession.
- 28:48SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 28:49SPEAKER_03: Yeah, there's been some really good.
- 28:50SPEAKER_01: People who haven't watched them would recommend.
- 28:52SPEAKER_03: Again, one of the things that we as a three all love dearly is Mike Flanagan's The Haunting of Hill House.
- 28:57SPEAKER_03: I tend to actually watch that every year around Halloween.
- 29:00SPEAKER_03: Yeah, great.
- 29:01SPEAKER_03: That's such a good idea.
- 29:02SPEAKER_03: Incredible watch.
- 29:03SPEAKER_03: Very good, very good.
- 29:04SPEAKER_03: And spooky season.
- 29:05SPEAKER_03: I think that's another way.
- 29:06SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I think that's just one way that we can get into that spooky season.
- 29:08SPEAKER_03: I think even dressing up tonight has kind of got me into that costume-y, Halloween-y spirit.
- 29:13SPEAKER_01: Um the only thing about our costumes tonight, I will read us, is they're not they're a very American Halloween because it's just we're just cute and slatsy.
- 29:22SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we're not dead cheerleaders.
- 29:24SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 29:24SPEAKER_03: Zombie cheerleaders.
- 29:25SPEAKER_01: I I think that's okay, because we've done the slut rule.
- 29:27SPEAKER_01: Like our I will say this skirt is incredibly short.
- 29:29SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 29:30SPEAKER_01: The last thing I wanted to bring to the podcast this week are Glastonbury lineup rumors.
- 29:34SPEAKER_01: So I um for people of the pod, um, Glastonbury is the best thing in the world.
- 29:39SPEAKER_03: And you know It's your religion, basically, isn't it?
- 29:42SPEAKER_01: It is, and it is the best, it's just the best thing in the world.
- 29:44SPEAKER_01: It's the best place in the world, it's the best week in the world.
- 29:46SPEAKER_01: You the only two states of life before Glastonbury or at Glastonbury.
- 29:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 29:50SPEAKER_01: And people that haven't been before sometimes think like, oh, it's really cold to you, like you know.
- 29:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, that's because it is.
- 29:56SPEAKER_01: Speaking of someone who has never been before, Leila also hasn't been before.
- 30:00SPEAKER_01: And then you go and you're like, I want to be in this cult.
- 30:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 30:02SPEAKER_03: No, no, I'm I'm already not in the cult.
- 30:05SPEAKER_03: But this is the thing, and we spoke about this the other day.
- 30:07SPEAKER_03: People in cults are happy.
- 30:08SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 30:08SPEAKER_03: People in cults are where it's a hat.
- 30:10SPEAKER_03: I want to be there.
- 30:11SPEAKER_01: Even if they're delusional.
- 30:12SPEAKER_01: I've never been happier.
- 30:13SPEAKER_01: Are you calling me delusional?
- 30:14SPEAKER_01: No, not at all.
- 30:16SPEAKER_01: Sorry?
- 30:16SPEAKER_01: I I yeah, I got I got the undertone.
- 30:19SPEAKER_01: So the reason I bring this up because Glassman rumors are obviously rife all year round, you know, and there's so many names throwing around, but there's the articles come out this week because of information that seem like they're pointing to very likely headliners.
- 30:32SPEAKER_01: So, first one will be Sam Fender, which I would put seven million pounds on.
- 30:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I completely agree.
- 30:39SPEAKER_01: Sam Fender's tour dates line up so perfectly.
- 30:42SPEAKER_01: Like he's got a show just before Glastonbury and a show just after, and a gap in for the for the pot festival.
- 30:47SPEAKER_01: So he's also a very big friend to Glastonbury, and he's performed before, and he is also incredible.
- 30:53SPEAKER_03: Oh yeah, yeah, love that.
- 30:55SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 30:56SPEAKER_03: I mean, Rain Meehan has like stuck in the charts for the city.
- 30:58SPEAKER_03: Oh my god, such a great style.
- 31:00SPEAKER_01: He's got great hits.
- 31:01SPEAKER_01: He's also popular with like a good age demographic.
- 31:04SPEAKER_01: It's not just young people, it's not just older people, it's it's everyone up mix, yeah.
- 31:08SPEAKER_01: The next one is Harry Styles.
- 31:10SPEAKER_03: Let's talk about it.
- 31:11SPEAKER_01: We are big Harry fans here, yes, but I don't love these in Glassmore, but anyway.
- 31:15SPEAKER_01: Um talk to us about that.
- 31:17SPEAKER_01: Well, so his tour dates line up not as well, but he is free for the month of June.
- 31:22SPEAKER_01: Like, I think he finishes one country in May and then he does the next country in July.
- 31:26SPEAKER_01: And I think the country next is Europe or the UK.
- 31:28SPEAKER_01: So it's unusual to have that big of a break and then do like uh do a show uh at Glastonbury, but it's not impossible.
- 31:35SPEAKER_01: Um, but yeah, he seems very likely.
- 31:37SPEAKER_01: He's also I think he's kind of at the right period of his career to do it, but I just kind of think it's it should have been last year, and I know this year, sorry.
- 31:45SPEAKER_01: And obviously Glastonbury wasn't on this year, but I I for me Harry Mania and going to see the tour was this year, and I can't bother to see it next year.
- 31:54SPEAKER_03: You're crazy for saying that.
- 31:55SPEAKER_01: You're so crazy for saying that.
- 31:58SPEAKER_01: You you want Harry.
- 31:59SPEAKER_02: I even as a big fan, you you don't care.
- 32:01SPEAKER_01: Well, I am a big Harry fan, but I'm not a manic fan.
- 32:05SPEAKER_03: You're your my Harry is your Taylor.
- 32:08SPEAKER_03: Yes, I would say.
- 32:09SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 32:10SPEAKER_03: I would say that I sit there more.
- 32:11SPEAKER_03: Um, so obviously, so my plan is that I will be attending Glastonbury 2027.
- 32:17SPEAKER_03: Layla, that is not on your agenda, is it?
- 32:19SPEAKER_03: Not gonna lie, probably not.
- 32:21SPEAKER_03: Layla's not a big festival person, she's not a big people person.
- 32:24SPEAKER_03: We're we're lucky, we're lucky that she's here right now.
- 32:26SPEAKER_03: Yeah, one thing you'll learn about Layla is that her one of her nicknames is flopster, but we'll get into that again.
- 32:31SPEAKER_03: I'm only here because you guys are at my house, I had no choice.
- 32:35SPEAKER_03: God damn it.
- 32:36SPEAKER_03: Plug it.
- 32:37SPEAKER_03: Um, yeah, so anyway, so I would love Harry to be there.
- 32:42SPEAKER_03: It's gonna be a big month for me anyway, um, because I'm getting married.
- 32:47SPEAKER_03: I actually planned my entire wedding around Oliver's Glastonbury tickets.
- 32:51SPEAKER_03: That is actually true.
- 32:52SPEAKER_03: So he cannot clock me for talking about my wedding on this podcast because he's talking about Glastonbury, and he would argue that Glastonbury is more important than my wedding.
- 33:02unknown: Yeah.
- 33:03SPEAKER_01: Um what I will say was that is uh we we're doing a pop culture podcast, and I would say Glastonbury is more pop culture than your wedding if we were just being technical.
- 33:14SPEAKER_03: Yeah, what do you mean?
- 33:14SPEAKER_03: This is a pop culture moment.
- 33:16SPEAKER_03: This is the biggest event Layla's going to ever.
- 33:18SPEAKER_03: What's gonna be great is we're gonna have the wedding at the start of the month month, and then we're all gonna go to Glastonbury together for my honeymoon.
- 33:24SPEAKER_03: What about Layla's birthday?
- 33:25SPEAKER_03: Oh well, and we've got Layla's birthday as well in June, in the middle of the month, so it breaks it up nicely.
- 33:30SPEAKER_03: Layla's birthday, as always, will be a massive event.
- 33:34SPEAKER_03: There'll be thousands of people there.
- 33:36SPEAKER_03: It will be well planned in advance by her dear friends who are always very good at planning these events.
- 33:42SPEAKER_02: Yes, yes, yes.
- 33:43SPEAKER_02: Um, it's gonna be great.
- 33:44SPEAKER_02: I had a great birthday.
- 33:47SPEAKER_03: What did we do for your birthday this week?
- 33:48SPEAKER_01: We did possibly.
- 33:49SPEAKER_01: We did Posry.
- 33:51SPEAKER_03: That was planned, yeah, like two days before.
- 33:54SPEAKER_03: Um yeah, no, it was great.
- 33:55SPEAKER_01: Ellis, we didn't need to tell her that.
- 33:57SPEAKER_03: Okay, fine.
- 33:57SPEAKER_03: No, no, no.
- 33:58SPEAKER_03: It's alright, I could have guessed.
- 34:01SPEAKER_03: Just kidding.
- 34:02unknown: Just kidding.
- 34:03SPEAKER_03: Anyway, back to Sorry.
- 34:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so the the reason it's kind of big news this week is because they've dropped a third headliner.
- 34:09SPEAKER_01: They're saying confirmed, like the the news articles, but obviously nothing's confirmed until it comes from the horse's mouth.
- 34:14SPEAKER_01: But um, the third one is Billie Eilish.
- 34:17SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 34:19SPEAKER_01: I'll tell you why we don't like this.
- 34:21SPEAKER_01: First of all, um You hate women.
- 34:23SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 34:24SPEAKER_01: Clearly.
- 34:24SPEAKER_01: First of all, that and lesbians.
- 34:26unknown: Yeah.
- 34:26SPEAKER_01: Well, she buy, I don't know, you know, queer people.
- 34:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 34:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you hate queer people.
- 34:31SPEAKER_01: No, um, I'm a really big Billy Eilish fan.
- 34:33SPEAKER_01: I can love that are you?
- 34:34SPEAKER_01: The reason I'm not happy about this booking is first of all, if I was booking the Glastonbury lineup and I booked Harry, Sam, and Billy, it's a very young person lineup and it's not that diverse in sort of music.
- 34:46SPEAKER_03: And Glastonbury is a very diverse festival.
- 34:48SPEAKER_03: Yes, that is very true.
- 34:50SPEAKER_01: I said I could see it being Sam Fender as an India, Sam as the pop, because they were already rumoured, and Billy's come very left field.
- 34:56SPEAKER_01: And then I would say an old English band to like keep the old people.
- 34:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 35:00SPEAKER_01: You know, I can't even name one, I don't listen to that music.
- 35:04SPEAKER_01: Oasis the other reason, no, they've said the confirmed not doing Madonna in Oasis of Emily has said out.
- 35:10SPEAKER_01: Um, the other reason I don't like it is because Billy headlined in 2020, I want to say two, but it could be a year off with that, on her uh tour, and it wasn't good.
- 35:23SPEAKER_01: The the set was good, but she saw it.
- 35:26SPEAKER_01: A lot of problem with a lot of the American acts is they see it as just another date on the tour rather than realizing what a moment this is.
- 35:32SPEAKER_01: It's the equivalent to Coachella bit in the UK, but they care about Coachella, they don't care about Glastonbury.
- 35:37SPEAKER_01: So there was no special guest, which is a really big Glastonbury thing.
- 35:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah, she didn't really want to be like, Wow, this is such a big moment in my career.
- 35:43SPEAKER_01: She was just like, I'm having a great time.
- 35:45SPEAKER_01: Like it was just another date on her festival, on her sorry, her tour schedule.
- 35:49SPEAKER_01: And not that it was necessarily a bad show, but then you look at people like Dua Lipa, like Stormsey, like when they've headlined, like they are in tears about how much it means to them.
- 35:59SPEAKER_01: I know they're British acts, but Stormsey's set was incredible.
- 36:01SPEAKER_01: It was so good, and it just basically it just makes it so magical and one of a kind.
- 36:06SPEAKER_01: And I know that Billy coming back, if she does, it wouldn't be that.
- 36:10SPEAKER_01: And that's why I'm anti Billy.
- 36:12SPEAKER_01: Interesting.
- 36:13SPEAKER_02: That's valid.
- 36:14SPEAKER_02: I feel like that's a fair thing to say.
- 36:16SPEAKER_03: And I guess more on that as we find out.
- 36:19SPEAKER_03: When when does the actual headline?
- 36:21SPEAKER_01: There is no pattern, so always is random.
- 36:23SPEAKER_01: We normally get the full postal lineup by March, but I would expect a headliner or two or three confirmed in the next few months.
- 36:30SPEAKER_01: Exciting.
- 36:30SPEAKER_01: So watch this space.
- 36:32SPEAKER_01: I will not talk about Glass Me now for a bit, but when there's more concrete news, we will talk about it constantly.
- 36:36SPEAKER_03: You had your minute.
- 36:37SPEAKER_01: I've had my 20 minutes.
- 36:39SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 36:42SPEAKER_03: So the last segment of the podcast is going to be basically, we're going to call it the Thursday assignment.
- 36:48SPEAKER_03: Um, but yeah, basically, just one recommendation.
- 36:50SPEAKER_03: It could be anything, it could be a film TV recommendation, which will probably be mine all the time because I'm doing nothing other than watching the tele.
- 36:56SPEAKER_03: Um, or it could be a meal that you've tried this week, or like a social trend that you've seen that you like, or a new song, or a book, or anything um that you like that you want to get we want to get people on, basically.
- 37:07SPEAKER_03: We want to talk about it.
- 37:08SPEAKER_03: So for me this week, I'm gonna start.
- 37:10SPEAKER_03: Go, I'm ready.
- 37:12SPEAKER_03: Um I have been watching The Fall of the House of Usher.
- 37:16SPEAKER_03: I think that's how you say it.
- 37:16SPEAKER_03: It's a bit of a lengthy title, I don't like it.
- 37:19SPEAKER_03: Oh.
- 37:19SPEAKER_03: Um, another Mike Flanagan series.
- 37:22SPEAKER_03: We actually haven't spoken about this yet.
- 37:23SPEAKER_03: Obviously, Ollie knows it as my lodger.
- 37:25SPEAKER_03: Um, so yeah, Mike Flanagan, he obviously did Haunting of Hill House.
- 37:28SPEAKER_03: Um, this is not a new series, it's 2023, I think it came out.
- 37:33SPEAKER_03: Um, and yeah, it's just basically another really good series that he's done.
- 37:36SPEAKER_03: It's eight episodes, eight hours of your life.
- 37:39SPEAKER_03: Um, Ollie actually has watched this and didn't remember a single thing that happened, basically.
- 37:44SPEAKER_03: Um, so but I have recently been spending eight hours of my life on it and enjoyed every minute.
- 37:50SPEAKER_03: Um I really want to get people on that.
- 37:52SPEAKER_03: It's kind of leaning into that spookaloo moment that we were talking about earlier with Halloween and just like trying to get into that festive spirit.
- 37:59SPEAKER_03: Um, yeah, so I'm gonna put people on that.
- 38:02SPEAKER_03: It's on Netflix.
- 38:03SPEAKER_03: Is it the same vibe?
- 38:04SPEAKER_03: Is it like it's exactly the same vibe, it's like the same cast, basically.
- 38:07SPEAKER_03: It's like obviously a different story.
- 38:10SPEAKER_03: It's a complete like it's take it take the hauntings out of the equation, basically.
- 38:15SPEAKER_03: Um, but yeah, it's I I've really enjoyed it.
- 38:17SPEAKER_03: I think it's really good.
- 38:18SPEAKER_03: I think it's well written.
- 38:19SPEAKER_03: I really like Mike Flanagan.
- 38:20SPEAKER_03: Mike Flanagan.
- 38:23SPEAKER_03: I really like Mike Flanagan's stuff.
- 38:25SPEAKER_03: I've also I won't do two, but I've also watched Carrie.
- 38:29SPEAKER_01: That sounds like two.
- 38:30SPEAKER_03: Ollie really wants two recommendations, but I'm not recommending Carrie because I actually am not recommending it, but we can talk about that at another point.
- 38:37SPEAKER_01: I would love to pick that conversation up, but yes, let's let's move on to later's recommendation.
- 38:41SPEAKER_02: Okay, Slate.
- 38:42SPEAKER_02: Uh, do you know what my recommendation is gonna be?
- 38:43SPEAKER_02: I've I was debating about this, but I've decided that actually genuinely what I should recommend is Fleetwood Mac.
- 38:49SPEAKER_02: Because I Fleetwood Mac, if you don't know about Fleetwood Mac, get to know.
- 38:56SPEAKER_02: If you don't have you ever played this restaurant called McDonald's?
- 38:59SPEAKER_02: No, I'm sorry.
- 39:01SPEAKER_02: But this is a fact.
- 39:02SPEAKER_02: This is genuinely because when was the last time you listen to Fleetwood Mac, honey?
- 39:06SPEAKER_01: Landslide every day.
- 39:06SPEAKER_02: Yesterday, yeah.
- 39:07SPEAKER_02: Oh, okay, fine.
- 39:08SPEAKER_02: Sorry.
- 39:10SPEAKER_02: That's why we're friends, that's why we're friends, babe.
- 39:12SPEAKER_02: If there's anyone that doesn't listen to it, get to know because I'm not gonna lie, there are some times where I just really struggle for like I don't really know what vibe I'm in, I don't want know what I want to listen to.
- 39:21SPEAKER_02: Fleetwood Mac Essentials, boom.
- 39:23SPEAKER_02: Solves the problems.
- 39:23SPEAKER_02: I'm happy every time.
- 39:25SPEAKER_02: Anything I need, fleet with Mac Essentials literally solves all my problems.
- 39:29SPEAKER_02: My particular favourite song at this point in time is Sarah.
- 39:32SPEAKER_01: Great song.
- 39:33SPEAKER_01: Oh, I've not heard it, I will go in.
- 39:34SPEAKER_01: Listen to it.
- 39:35SPEAKER_02: Listen to it on the way home.
- 39:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah, maybe you specify, yeah, like a single or an album as well.
- 39:39SPEAKER_01: That's it.
- 39:39SPEAKER_02: Yeah, like I say, Sarah in particular is my favourite song at this point in time.
- 39:42SPEAKER_02: I love, love, love, love so much.
- 39:44SPEAKER_02: Um, would literally have on repeat.
- 39:46SPEAKER_02: But like I say, genuinely, fleet like Fleetwood Mac Essentials is what I have on continuously.
- 39:52SPEAKER_01: Interesting you listen to it in a playlist, not album form, because I I'm I feel like I'm very I'm more album oriented.
- 39:57SPEAKER_01: I'd much rather put on an album than a playlist.
- 40:00SPEAKER_02: I agree.
- 40:00SPEAKER_02: I normally would be like that, but for some reason.
- 40:03SPEAKER_02: Because yeah, because every song has a banger.
- 40:05SPEAKER_02: Like, I'm not even gonna lie.
- 40:06SPEAKER_03: But then Sarah, we've never heard of it, so that's really interesting.
- 40:09SPEAKER_02: See, this is the thing, they have so many songs as well, and the amount of times that I've been playing it recently, Adam's like, oh, is this Fleetwood Mac?
- 40:14SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, yes, yes, it is, because there's so much range.
- 40:16SPEAKER_03: It's a good song, yes, it's fleet with Mac.
- 40:17SPEAKER_02: They have so many bops.
- 40:18SPEAKER_02: Like, honestly, highly recommend if you don't know what to listen to, listen to Fleetwood Mac.
- 40:22SPEAKER_03: Leila, can we just then also put you onto the Fleetwood Mac episode of Glee?
- 40:27SPEAKER_03: Oh my god, yes, you said about that.
- 40:28SPEAKER_02: I need to listen.
- 40:29SPEAKER_01: We need to watch that before we get any more Glee news.
- 40:32SPEAKER_01: I will say we probably won't talk about Glee again for a while.
- 40:35SPEAKER_02: Okay, next time we talk about it, I'll have watched that episode for sure.
- 40:38SPEAKER_03: I could do with you just watching episodes one through 300.
- 40:44SPEAKER_02: Okay, give me give me some time.
- 40:46SPEAKER_02: Got like 20 minutes, girl.
- 40:48SPEAKER_02: Yes, I know, but we already know.
- 40:50SPEAKER_02: I don't watch anything.
- 40:51SPEAKER_02: Okay, fine.
- 40:52SPEAKER_01: You're too busy listening to Fleet with Mac Essentials.
- 40:54SPEAKER_01: I'm too busy.
- 40:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah, honestly.
- 40:55SPEAKER_02: I respect that about you.
- 40:57SPEAKER_01: Oliver.
- 40:58SPEAKER_01: So my recommendation is a TV show called It Gets Worse.
- 41:01SPEAKER_01: It's on channel four.
- 41:02SPEAKER_01: It's released on Thursday.
- 41:04SPEAKER_01: I think it's airing weekly on channel four, but the whole thing is dropped on I want to say 4 OD.
- 41:08SPEAKER_01: I don't think it's called 4 OD anymore, like, but channel 4 player, whatever.
- 41:12SPEAKER_01: Um and it's very short episodes, 20 minutes, it's very queer-coded.
- 41:15SPEAKER_01: It's written by this guy called I want to say it's Leo something, but I think it's autobiographical because he plays the main character in it.
- 41:21SPEAKER_01: Um, but it's three friends in their 20s living in London, they're all queer or allies, and um basically the concept is like actually life in your 20s in London is can be really shit.
- 41:32SPEAKER_01: Yes, and they're all problematic and chaotic.
- 41:34SPEAKER_01: Um, but the way I will sell it to you is you might have seen the viral Andrew Scott clip when the trailer dropped.
- 41:41SPEAKER_01: You've seen this girl, but it also, if you're not on gay Andrew Top Andrew Looks at Andrew Tate, Andrew Scott TikTok.
- 41:51SPEAKER_01: Yes, if you're not on Andrew Scott TikTok or just like a raging homosexual, you might have missed it.
- 41:54SPEAKER_01: But um, he is in the first episode and he spits in the main character's mouth and says, You're just a hole for daddy.
- 42:01SPEAKER_03: And what else is gonna make me watch a programme other than Andrew Scott's spitting in someone's mouth and saying you're just a hole for daddy?
- 42:06SPEAKER_01: I would say that is cinema.
- 42:08SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 42:08SPEAKER_03: Um You're like, I need to say nothing else.
- 42:10SPEAKER_03: And end podcast.
- 42:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that was really good.
- 42:12SPEAKER_01: And I like if that doesn't sell it to you, you shouldn't listen to the podcast.
- 42:16SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 42:17SPEAKER_03: If you watch it gets worse and you don't like that opening scene, because by the way, it's the opening scene as well.
- 42:21SPEAKER_03: Woo! If you don't like that, stop watching.
- 42:24SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 42:25SPEAKER_01: We don't want your podcast.
- 42:26SPEAKER_01: We don't want you here.
- 42:27SPEAKER_02: We don't want it.
- 42:28SPEAKER_03: No, for real.
- 42:29SPEAKER_01: You don't get it.
- 42:30SPEAKER_01: You don't get it.
