Grand Canyon Flash Flood Tragedy | Bend News
Flash floods in the Grand Canyon claimed two lives, including Dr. John Giusti, and left one hiker missing as rescuers race against time using drones and tech to scour the ravaged terrain. Over 20 people were initially unaccounted for, with 62 evacuated from Phantom Ranch and North Kaibab Trail amid terrifying scenes of water surging through canyon trails. Steep slopes and a recent wildfire burn scar worsened the devastation, prompting authorities to urge public help and brace for more severe weather.
