- 1:50Speaker 3: Hi.
- 1:50Speaker 2: How are you king, Chelsea?
- 1:52Speaker 3: Hi?
- 1:52Speaker 4: I'm great. I actually just got back from a nice
- 1:55Speaker 4: little trip to Mexico with two of my girlfriends. I
- 1:58Speaker 4: go on every years. Yeah. Good, yeah, very very toasty
- 2:02Speaker 4: and warm.
- 2:03Speaker 1: D It's nice to feel arrested after a vacation.
- 2:05Speaker 4: Yeah yeah. And it's nice to have something to look
- 2:07Speaker 4: forward to every year, where it's like this is where
- 2:10Speaker 4: we go. Well, I have a follow up. This is
- 2:12Speaker 4: Charlotte who called in on our Judy Career episode a
- 2:15Speaker 4: while back. So she was frustrated because her wife was
- 2:18Speaker 4: the bread winner but had had like a job change
- 2:20Speaker 4: and had gotten fired from her job a couple of times.
- 2:23Speaker 4: They have a little kid, and you had recommendations like
- 2:26Speaker 4: do a gratitude journal and like change your attitude, start
- 2:28Speaker 4: looking positively, and she was like in a tough spot
- 2:31Speaker 4: with her marriage. So she says, Hi, Chelsea, I wanted
- 2:34Speaker 4: to send a quick follow up. Not long after our call,
- 2:37Speaker 4: something pretty amazing happened. About three weeks after we talked.
- 2:40Speaker 4: My wife got an awesome new job, and then a
- 2:42Speaker 4: week after that, I was promoted at my job. Oh,
- 2:44Speaker 4: oh my gosh, I know now I'm actually up for
- 2:47Speaker 4: another promotion. And I have my first appointment with a
- 2:49Speaker 4: fertility doctor this week to get busy having a second kid.
- 2:52Speaker 4: I'm not sure exactly how to explain it, but there
- 2:55Speaker 4: really is something powerful about reminding yourself every day what
- 2:57Speaker 4: you're grateful for. Taking a moment to folks on that
- 3:00Speaker 4: seems to shift your mindset in a really positive way,
- 3:03Speaker 4: and that's been pretty incredible to see how things have
- 3:05Speaker 4: started falling into place since then. Thank you so much.
- 3:07Speaker 4: You're really helping people in a time like now we
- 3:10Speaker 4: all really need it. Thank you so much, Chelsea, and
- 3:12Speaker 4: see you in port Chester, Charlotte. Oh cute. I love that. Yeah,
- 3:15Speaker 4: that's nice. Yeah, so glad to hear things are going well,
- 3:19Speaker 4: it's nice, it was like. Yeah.
- 3:20Speaker 1: And also to frame it in that way that it
- 3:22Speaker 1: shifts your mindset, M like that.
- 3:24Speaker 4: It's true.
- 3:25Speaker 1: It's like you can't really put your finger on what's different,
- 3:26Speaker 1: but it does make you right. I like the other
- 3:30Speaker 1: thing that I heard recently, which is not too when
- 3:32Speaker 1: you when you have a feeling, to have the opposite,
- 3:36Speaker 1: you know, like there's an opposite feeling to every feeling,
- 3:39Speaker 1: Choose that one when you have a bad feeling.
- 3:41Speaker 4: Right, yeah, yeah, and focus on the positive. It's very serious,
- 3:45Speaker 4: Miniso today, it's very serious. We just recorded with was
- 3:50Speaker 4: not serious at all. It's not serious at all. And
- 3:52Speaker 4: like I have a contact high, so I know you're
- 3:55Speaker 4: doing amazing.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Earlier that day, should we smoke this joy?
- 4:00Speaker 3: Yeah? Why not? You know, Mama lipstick? Do you? I'll
- 4:03Speaker 3: give you your own you already started without.
- 4:06Speaker 4: Me, No, I had, and this is from yesterday.
- 4:08Speaker 1: I was, I'm so glad that you're the guest today
- 4:10Speaker 1: because I was, like, I want to. I haven't sat
- 4:12Speaker 1: and smoked a joint in my new podcast room for
- 4:14Speaker 1: a podcast guest in a while.
- 4:16Speaker 4: Most people are sober these days.
- 4:17Speaker 5: Have you noticed this?
- 4:19Speaker 3: Why?
- 4:19Speaker 2: Why? Why do you think that is.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Such a thing.
- 4:23Speaker 3: They went too hard, they did wrong shit, and they
- 4:26Speaker 3: got burnt out real easier, real quick.
- 4:28Speaker 4: Yeah, but I know people that have gone too.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Hard and then they're back in.
- 4:34Speaker 3: Everybody can reel it back in.
- 4:36Speaker 4: You ever got cocktail too?
- 4:37Speaker 5: I like this.
- 4:37Speaker 4: I'm having a cocktail. I'm having a little old tom gin,
- 4:40Speaker 4: which is my new favorite thing.
- 4:42Speaker 3: That's going too far right there, that's run right there.
- 4:44Speaker 4: I have to be able to read later, So I.
- 4:47Speaker 3: Girl, you need to see my actu and on what.
- 4:49Speaker 4: Well, that's what we were talking about before. I feel
- 4:51Speaker 4: like a lot of people went too hard with gin
- 4:52Speaker 4: in college or whatever, and they just like they got
- 4:54Speaker 4: sick on it once and they can't stand.
- 4:56Speaker 3: Up now that's stick on it multiple times.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Do you like that? Chelsea? Him the vi calumonade that
- 5:03Speaker 2: you're drinking.
- 5:05Speaker 3: Could be stronger, but yeah, that's okay.
- 5:07Speaker 4: It could be stronger. It's a day drink, but I
- 5:09Speaker 4: like that.
- 5:10Speaker 3: Is that what it is?
- 5:11Speaker 2: It's kind of like a light drink so that you
- 5:12Speaker 2: can have.
- 5:13Speaker 4: A couple of.
- 5:15Speaker 3: No, I want to, don't you?
- 5:18Speaker 2: Is it a drink?
- 5:19Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like this, but I think it's got weed
- 5:23Speaker 3: in it.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, probably yet. But I love anything that
- 5:28Speaker 1: he does. His weed is strong.
- 5:29Speaker 3: I heard Snoop said, that's the only person who I've smoked.
- 5:32Speaker 1: He was, Yeah, I smoked weed with Willie Nelson. Yeah,
- 5:35Speaker 1: on his trailer, in his trailer on.
- 5:37Speaker 4: It why do It?
- 5:38Speaker 1: And it was I was high the next day when
- 5:41Speaker 1: I got up. Yeah, there was two times where I've
- 5:44Speaker 1: gotten so high that the next morning I was still high.
- 5:47Speaker 4: When are you performing at Netflix? As a joke? May nine, the.
- 5:50Speaker 3: Ninth at the Ice House and then I think I'm
- 5:53Speaker 3: doing sense with Shaq and Burke Crasher.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Okay, so you can get chicks at Netflix? Is a
- 5:58Speaker 1: jokefest dot Com.
- 6:00Speaker 5: Make sure to check out Lunell's full episode on May
- 6:03Speaker 5: twenty first to hear the whole conversation. And now back
- 6:10Speaker 5: to our minisoda.
- 6:10Speaker 4: Okay, so We have a one drink question today and
- 6:13Speaker 4: it is actually sponsored by Vital Proteins.
- 6:16Speaker 2: They just launched their new Collagen Sparkling Waters.
- 6:18Speaker 4: Oh, that's what's in my new fridge.
- 6:20Speaker 1: In three crisp refreshing flavors people strawberry blossom, lemon, lime,
- 6:23Speaker 1: and blood orange. Vital Proteins Collagen Sparkling Water improves your

- 6:53Speaker 1: clinically shown to improve skin health in as little as
- 6:56Speaker 1: four weeks. Sip your way to better skin health.
- 6:59Speaker 4: All right, So here's our featured question. It's our wondering question,
- 7:03Speaker 4: and she says, Dear Chelsea, I've been a weekly listener
- 7:06Speaker 4: of your podcast for the last few years. I love
- 7:09Speaker 4: your humor and your commitment to destigmatizing mental health and therapy.
- 7:13Speaker 4: Since you're a total badass in the gym, I have
- 7:15Speaker 4: a health and fitness question for you. I'm a working
- 7:17Speaker 4: mom in my late thirties. I love to work out,
- 7:19Speaker 4: but my time is limited during the week, and I
- 7:21Speaker 4: can only squeeze in twenty to thirty minutes in the morning.
- 7:24Speaker 4: I'm consistent working out every day, but I've hit a plateau.
- 7:27Speaker 4: How can I maximize my Monday through Friday thirty minute
- 7:30Speaker 4: workouts to still build my strength and see change. What's
- 7:33Speaker 4: the ideal balance of strength versus cardio versus recovery. I
- 7:36Speaker 4: feel like since I don't work out very long each day,
- 7:39Speaker 4: I'm hesitant to take rest and recovery days. I have
- 7:41Speaker 4: free weights, a stationary bike, and a treadmill. Cheers Caitlin, Hi, Caitlin.
- 7:46Speaker 4: I love these kinds of questions. It's so ridiculous. But
- 7:50Speaker 4: I will say that I would just wait train. If
- 7:52Speaker 4: I had thirty minutes every day, I would wait train.
- 7:54Speaker 4: Or you can sprint every few days on the treadmill,
- 7:56Speaker 4: because that's really good for like fat burning and like
- 7:59Speaker 4: also life. It's good to have some cardio, but I
- 8:01Speaker 4: don't do cardio on the regular cardios like data artists.
- 8:04Speaker 2: It's out I know, yeah, it's out of style. And
- 8:07Speaker 2: I do do it.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Just sometimes, like if I want, you know, need to sweat,
- 8:11Speaker 1: like I'll do it. But I don't do a lot
- 8:13Speaker 1: of cardio anymore. I used to be obsessed with it,
- 8:15Speaker 1: and I used to be much less lean.
- 8:17Speaker 4: Well that's the thing is like in the nineties and
- 8:19Speaker 4: two thousands, they were like, oh, yeah, cardio, cardio, cardio,
- 8:21Speaker 4: and then we realized like, oh, it's actually not doing
- 8:23Speaker 4: much for especially for women. Yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 8:25Speaker 1: I wasted so many hours of my life running after nothing.
- 8:28Speaker 4: Yeah, your cardio is gonna come from like chasing your kids,
- 8:31Speaker 4: going on walks with them, running around at the park,
- 8:33Speaker 4: Like walking is really good for you. But that's just
- 8:36Speaker 4: doing naturally. Yeah for sure.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Okay, thanks again to our sponsor for this week's wondering question,
- 8:41Speaker 1: Vital Proteins.
- 8:41Speaker 2: You can pick up a case of their new Collegen Sparkling.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Waters and Strawberry Blossom, Lemon, lime and blood Orange out Now.
- 8:51Speaker 4: Well, we have a couple more really quick questions, Chelsea.
- 8:55Speaker 4: The first one is from Kendra. She says, Dear Chelsea,
- 8:59Speaker 4: I was supposed to be a date at a bar,
- 9:01Speaker 4: but left after he was twenty minutes late, no text,
- 9:04Speaker 4: no show. An hour later, he said his phone had
- 9:07Speaker 4: died and apologized profusely. Should I give him another chance?
- 9:10Speaker 4: It was a third date, Kendra, third date, first time
- 9:14Speaker 4: that happened. Mm, yeah, I would give him another Maybe die,
- 9:20Speaker 4: I know, but I'm a little bit liked he my
- 9:22Speaker 4: phone dies? Yeah, okay, all right, So speaking from personal experience,
- 9:26Speaker 4: you need another chance.
- 9:28Speaker 1: I mean not a lot, but it's happened. But when
- 9:30Speaker 1: I'm supposed to yeh, And I.
- 9:31Speaker 4: Feel like if he's out already, he doesn't get a
- 9:33Speaker 4: chance to charge his phones. That's why maybe it was
- 9:35Speaker 4: a You can't just back up with him for that, Okay,
- 9:38Speaker 4: all right, I can't directive him another chance. So our
- 9:41Speaker 4: last question today comes from Lucy. She says, I'm writing
- 9:45Speaker 4: in because I recently lost my best friend to a dude.
- 9:49Speaker 4: She's always been someone who gets her sense of worth
- 9:51Speaker 4: from male attention. She'll date a guy and morph into them,
- 9:54Speaker 4: adopt their interests, humor and lifestyle, and yeah, we all
- 9:57Speaker 4: sink into our partners to a point. But her current
- 9:59Speaker 4: boyfriend has become her whole world. Well, I've completely dropped
- 10:02Speaker 4: out of it. We used to talk every day, share everything,
- 10:05Speaker 4: but now I barely hear from her. If I'm being honest,
- 10:07Speaker 4: I don't even miss her, mainly because the her she
- 10:10Speaker 4: has become isn't the one I knew. But I can't
- 10:13Speaker 4: throw it all away. She is my person. It's not
- 10:15Speaker 4: her fault that she faonds to men. But how do
- 10:17Speaker 4: I get her to see it? Side note? The dude
- 10:19Speaker 4: and I are perfectly friendly, but Jesus fuck, please don't
- 10:22Speaker 4: leave us alone together? Zero vibe. It's like we both
- 10:25Speaker 4: forget that we know how to speak lucy brutal. Yeah,
- 10:29Speaker 4: so how do we get her like vibing with her
- 10:31Speaker 4: friend again?
- 10:32Speaker 1: I don't know that you can. Well, no, not while
- 10:35Speaker 1: the guys in the picture. And if she's acting like
- 10:37Speaker 1: that with guys, I don't know. I think people have
- 10:40Speaker 1: to outgrow that stuff. I don't know how you remind
- 10:44Speaker 1: telling someone you don't like their boyfriend is unhelpful information?
- 10:47Speaker 4: Yeah? Most often? Yeah. Well, and I wonder like, is
- 10:50Speaker 4: there a way to say, like, I feel like I'm
- 10:53Speaker 4: missing you just as you are without this guy.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Yeah that's a good Yeah, that's a nice way to say.
- 11:00Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know how you could say that wrong.
- 11:02Speaker 4: Yeah, right, Like I think that's a text of like
- 11:05Speaker 4: to say, yeah, like I'd love to go to coffee, like,
- 11:08Speaker 4: let's get some coffee. I want to spend some time
- 11:10Speaker 4: just with you. And then when you're at coffee or
- 11:12Speaker 4: dinner or whatever, you can address and just be like, hey,
- 11:15Speaker 4: like I really wants some more, like I miss you,
- 11:17Speaker 4: like alone time with you. Yeah, yeah, Okay, I support that.
- 11:22Speaker 4: All right, Lucy, problem solved and we're on for today.
- 11:25Speaker 4: Oh wonderful. Okay, goodbye, goodbye. I'm going upstairs. If you
