  Day six today, it's a rest day. We're in Pamploma, a nice hotel enjoying our

  rest day after five days of walking.

  Pamploma, famous for the running of the bulls. That festival runs in July, 6th to the 14th of July.

  I thought it might have been just like a one-day thing, but speaking to the
• 0:44
  lady at the stadium today, it runs 6th through to the 14th, and so there's a.

  Running of the Bulls every day.

  And the Bulls run through the old town for about a kilometre and they end up at the stadium.

  And we saw this run on video at the stadium and it takes the Bulls about two
• 1:04
  to four minutes, depending on the traffic of people and Bulls and all those sorts of things.

  The first one gets there in about two minutes, the last one around four minutes,

  but it's essentially a Bull run,

  getting the Bulls from point A to point B that has

  been built up over time now like good

  tourists chan and i we got ourselves some red

  scarves to wear like they would wear during the
• 1:27
  bull run and got some photos there at the stadium stadiums called

  plaza de toros and it was constructed in 1922 still standing we went on the
• 1:39
  tour and then got to to stand on the sand out in the center of the arena and
• 1:46
  it was it was quite an amazing stadium. I love stadiums.

  And then this one was a very interesting one to have a look around as well.

  All the little hidey places, so if the bull's running towards you,

  the little inbuilt concrete sections that you can get in to escape the bulls
• 2:05
  from getting you, you know, to get into those.

  Like it was, you could actually get in and out of these places on the tour as well.

  Seen lots of stuff around about Hemingway in Pamploma, which surprised me a
• 2:17
  little bit as, you know, he's not a Spanish writer.

  So there's, yeah, there's a lot of signs referencing, honouring Hemingway.

  Must have had a significant impact on exposure of Pamploma to the greater world.

  And, you know, there's things about the sun also rises, et cetera,
• 2:35
  that takes place during the festival.

  We were staying in the old city and the streets of the old city are really quite
• 2:45
  spectacular. You know, we were talking cobbled stone roads.

  The streets are very narrow, just enough room for one car to fit down them.

  Shops that sit all the way along the street.
• 2:59
  And they're nice shops. Like you want to be in and around and walking around
• 3:03
  this city exploring, whether you're a tourist or a local.

  Like, you know, there's bars, there's cafes, there's shops, some higher end shops.

  Others are just, you know, grocers and things like that. But there's lots to explore.

  Through the old city. And it's a walled city as well.

  So that would have been for defensive reasons many, many years ago.

  We went to a tortilla bar cafe for lunch and there would have been,
• 3:31
  I think, nine or 10 different tortillas to choose from. I had a spinach one.

  So the egg, the potato with spinach.

  Sherilyn had a chili one, which turned out to be like a chili sausage,
• 3:45
  chili chorizzo, chili pepperoni, Chan had the bolognese one,
• 3:50
  which had like a mince that ran through it as well, but there was plenty of tortillas to try.

  There's quite a filling meal, even though it doesn't look that big,
• 3:57
  and it's quite an affordable meal as well.

  But we're not trying to walk too much today because the intent of today is a

  rest day for us because we've got a really big day tomorrow, 23 kilometres.

  We're heading to Puenta Lorena, 23 kilometres.

  We're making use of the porter service again tomorrow. And we're absolutely
• 4:20
  going to need it because tomorrow will be our new biggest day in terms of distance.
