Speaker 1: What's up, everybody. Welcome to the NFL Fantasy Football Show.
• 0:15
Speaker 1: I'm Marcus Grant, joined by Michael f. Florio and Lakwan Jones,
• 0:19
Speaker 1: and we are happy to be setting lineups again. We
• 0:21
Speaker 1: have made it to the first full weekend. We got
• 0:25
  Speaker 1: a Sunday, We've got a Monday. Gentlemen, I know we
• 0:28
Speaker 1: got a lot to get to. If you don't mind,
• 0:29
Speaker 1: can we just get started on this one.
• 0:31
  Speaker 2: Let's go.
• 0:32
Speaker 3: Let's go something. Look, I get it.
• 0:35
Speaker 1: You know there's an unwritten rule in the NFL rule
• 0:39
Speaker 1: book that's not actually a first down unless the ball
• 0:41
Speaker 1: carrier gets up and signals first down.
• 0:43
Speaker 3: That is that they don't move the chains until that.
• 0:45
Speaker 2: You know, you don't get points if you don't try.
• 0:47
Speaker 2: I love the running backs to like six yards short, they're.
• 0:49
Speaker 3: Like first down. There you go.
• 0:52
Speaker 1: We did talk about a lot of the week one
• 0:54
Speaker 1: games on Wednesday show. You can go back and check
• 0:56
Speaker 1: that out at your leisure. In the meantime, we're gonna
• 0:58
Speaker 1: get into some starts and sins and some bold predictions
• 1:01
Speaker 1: for the weekend that is to come. So we will
• 1:04
Speaker 1: get started with some of the afternoon games. We'll start
• 1:06
Speaker 1: with the Titans and the Broncos Florio. The Titans, their quarterbacks,
• 1:12
Speaker 1: said their offense was mid in the middle part of
• 1:15
Speaker 1: training camp. Well, we know there's a lot of Broncos
• 1:17
Speaker 1: you're starting beyond Calvin Ridley, anybody on the Titan side.
• 1:21
Speaker 1: You're interested in starting.
• 1:22
Speaker 2: Tony Pollard because last year, in games where he played
• 1:26
Speaker 2: at least sixty percent in the snaps, he averaged twenty
• 1:29
Speaker 2: touches per game and no Taj spears, So I think
• 1:32
Speaker 2: he's going to see enough volume. I know the matchup
• 1:34
Speaker 2: on paper isn't great, but the one weakness that Broncos
• 1:38
Speaker 2: had last year was past catching running backs. So I'm like,
• 1:41
Speaker 2: if they're in ketchup mode, we could see a lot
• 1:42
Speaker 2: of dump offs go Week one. Also, I'm a big
• 1:45
Speaker 2: believer and like, yeah, there might be players with better
• 1:48
Speaker 2: matchups and stuff. I want the guy that's guaranteed to
• 1:50
Speaker 2: touch the ball because we're figuring out so much early on.
• 1:54
Speaker 2: Tony Pollard is guaranteed to touch the ball. So I
• 1:56
Speaker 2: have a league that where I'm considering sitting my guy
• 1:58
Speaker 2: Calvin Ridley because I'm like, oh, that's nice all over him.
• 2:02
Speaker 4: Oh yeah, strap, it's strappers over there, man, Like I'm
• 2:06
Speaker 4: with you Florio, like I am sitting Calvin Ridley in
• 2:09
Speaker 4: a lot of leagues. I just think that you're rolling
• 2:11
Speaker 4: the dice on Calvin Ridley going out there where I
• 2:14
Speaker 4: know he looks like an excellent choice. But like Marcus said,
• 2:17
Speaker 4: cam Ward said, the offense is mid and then when
• 2:20
Speaker 4: we look at preseason, Kim Woard didn't score a touchdown
• 2:23
Speaker 4: in any of his opportunities there. So just saying I.
• 2:27
Speaker 1: Do appreciate, by the way, the defensive backs nowadays are
• 2:29
Speaker 1: preaching vehicle safety, letting letting you.
• 2:34
Speaker 4: Know when it was a bad throw, you didn't do anything.
• 2:38
Speaker 3: Bro, I mean on either side. I know for you,
• 2:42
  Speaker 3: you're big on r. J. Harvey.
• 2:44
  Speaker 2: That's a ticket, like, that's what that. I always thought
• 2:46
Speaker 2: it was a sword. You blew my mind just now.
• 2:49
Speaker 2: Oh I always thought they were doing a sports thing. No,
• 2:51
  Speaker 2: they're they're doing like a seat belt, like they're locking
• 2:53
Speaker 2: you up. Like I'm literally surprised right now.
• 2:57
  Speaker 3: It's a seat belt.
• 2:58
Speaker 2: I was like, dude, these guys all want to be
• 3:02
Speaker 2: on Game of Thrones.
• 3:05
  Speaker 3: Lak on On. I know you're starting. R. J. Harvey.
• 3:07
Speaker 1: I'm sure most folks are starting, say bow Nicks, Courtland, Sutton,
• 3:11
Speaker 1: probably Evan Ingram. I'm gonna give you a choice, Pat
• 3:15
Speaker 1: Bryant or Troy Franklin.
• 3:17
Speaker 3: Where are you going there?
• 3:18
Speaker 4: If either, oh Man, I gotta go Pat Brian. I
• 3:21
Speaker 4: think Troy Franklin. His hype is a lot of the
• 3:24
Speaker 4: summer hype because he's getting more opportunities out there. He's
• 3:27
Speaker 4: in the sunshine light in the eyes of Sean Payton
• 3:29
Speaker 4: right now. But when it comes down to Sean Payton
• 3:32
Speaker 4: having a type and the prototype of the Michael Thomas
• 3:35
Speaker 4: two point zero without the attitude and slant god, I
• 3:38
Speaker 4: do think Pat Brian finds his way on the field
• 3:40
Speaker 4: as the wide receiver too, just based on his football IQ.
• 3:44
Speaker 4: That's what keeps him in the talks with Sean Payton
• 3:46
Speaker 4: as a guy that he looks to to make big plays.
• 3:49
Speaker 1: Slant Boy, call me Michael Thomas. Slant Boy was one
• 3:51
Speaker 1: of the like colder.
• 3:54
  Speaker 5: He legitimately hated.
• 3:56
Speaker 1: I'm so mad it was so much RESTful, Like we're
• 3:59
Speaker 1: gonna keep saying it like that. Only time thing is
• 4:01
Speaker 1: like like if you didn't care, Like, dude, why are
• 4:03
  Speaker 1: you on Twitter?
• 4:04
Speaker 3: Why are you on Twitter?
• 4:05
  Speaker 5: Eight a m bro?
• 4:06
Speaker 3: You just gotta finish a game.
• 4:08
Speaker 2: So funny though that like us fantasy people were just like,
• 4:11
Speaker 2: we're gonna keep saying this thing that you hate.
• 4:13
Speaker 3: Like because you got so mad about it, keeping him
• 4:17
  Speaker 3: slim boy.
• 4:18
Speaker 1: Uh. Moving on to the forty nine Ers and the Seahawks.
• 4:20
Speaker 1: Against my better judgment, I'm going to ask Lakwan Jones
• 4:23
Speaker 1: a question here regarding the Just Go forty nine Ers.
• 4:26
Speaker 1: Juwan Jennings is expected to play after missing the majority
• 4:29
Speaker 1: of training camp and the preseason. We know Ricky Piersoll
• 4:32
Speaker 1: is gonna be there right now. He's kind of projecting
• 4:34
Speaker 1: as the wide receiver one. All things considered, would you
• 4:37
Speaker 1: consider throwing Juwan Jennings in a lineup?
• 4:41
Speaker 3: Please be as objective about this as you can.
• 4:46
Speaker 4: To be serious, though, I don't think I am ready
• 4:48
Speaker 4: to put him in starting lineups. I know he brings
• 4:50
Speaker 4: some flex appeal, and I know his connection where Brock
• 4:53
Speaker 4: pretty was strong as it could ever be last season.
• 4:56
Speaker 4: He's paid now, he's motivated with the insentatives now, including
• 5:00
Speaker 4: his contract. But I'm just not ready to put him
• 5:02
Speaker 4: out there. Being that the calf injury quote and unquote
• 5:05
Speaker 4: magically got better soon as Kendrick Bourne took a visit
• 5:08
Speaker 4: over there in the forty whiners. But that is nothing
• 5:10
Speaker 4: here or there, but it.
• 5:12
Speaker 5: Just comes out. I'm sorry, I'm just saying it just
• 5:15
Speaker 5: happens to come out.
• 5:16
Speaker 3: I don't know how to say the other way.
• 5:18
Speaker 4: It's the forty whiners. Man, They're all in my dms,
• 5:20
Speaker 4: in my you know, in my comments. When I go
• 5:23
Speaker 4: on TikTok Live, it is wrowing rocks.
• 5:25
Speaker 1: At hornets nests and being surprised when the bees come.
• 5:28
Speaker 3: That is your hole in bove.
• 5:29
Speaker 4: I'm a little bit more dangerous though. I like hitting
• 5:32
Speaker 4: the hornet's nests and just squashing them. Man, it's all good.
• 5:36
Speaker 3: I should have asked you a Cooper Cup question that
• 5:37
  Speaker 3: would have been.
• 5:38
Speaker 5: You should have, but you didn't.
• 5:43
Speaker 1: So for I have been kind of beating the Zach
• 5:46
Speaker 1: Charbonay drum this whole offseason. Everything I keep reading says
• 5:50
Speaker 1: he's pushing for RB one snaps. You know, Kennith Walker
• 5:53
Speaker 1: is kind of banged up in the preseason.
• 5:54
  Speaker 3: Am I am?
• 5:55
Speaker 1: I crazy? Is this still Kw's job? Or is Charbonay
• 5:58
Speaker 1: really coming for this thing?
• 5:59
  Speaker 2: I think I think there's a world where Sharboney could
• 6:02
Speaker 2: be coming from it for it, But until we see it,
• 6:05
Speaker 2: I'm operating as if it is still Kenneth Walker's job,
• 6:09
Speaker 2: because I'm a big believer that like Sharbone is really good,
• 6:12
Speaker 2: like he is a very good backup. But if Kenneth
• 6:16
Speaker 2: Walker lives up to what we think he could be,
• 6:19
Speaker 2: We're not gonna care. Like he's gonna put up plenty
• 6:21
Speaker 2: of big plays and yardage and all of that. So
• 6:24
Speaker 2: like for week one, personally, I'm starting Kenneth Walker everywhere
• 6:28
Speaker 2: I have him. I wouldn't be starting sharbon Ay. But
• 6:31
Speaker 2: I get the thinking, like, like I know that, like
• 6:35
Speaker 2: you really like him and stuff, and I like and
• 6:38
Speaker 2: the thing is like, yeah, you were taking him kind
• 6:39
Speaker 2: of where you're taking Jordan Mason maybe like a little
• 6:42
Speaker 2: bit later, but not much, so like you were paying
• 6:44
Speaker 2: a premium to have that guy on your roster.
• 6:45
Speaker 1: Well, and that's the thing, Like I in the spots
• 6:47
Speaker 1: where I've drafted Sharbonay, like I'm not crazy enough to
• 6:50
Speaker 1: start him right away, Like it has really been kind
• 6:52
Speaker 1: of a draft and stash thing, right just waiting to
• 6:55
Speaker 1: see how this thing turns out, and just sort of
• 6:57
Speaker 1: trying to follow the.
• 6:59
Speaker 3: Drum beats from Seattle about this whole thing.
• 7:02
Speaker 1: And you know, look, you're right to your point if
• 7:04
Speaker 1: Walker stays healthy and he's the explosive Kenneth Walker, then yep,
• 7:09
Speaker 1: I guess I got a handcuff potentially. You know, if
• 7:12
  Speaker 1: something happens, If.
• 7:13
Speaker 2: Something happens to Walker, though, you have in RB two
• 7:15
Speaker 2: with RB one upside, yeah, you can play week exactly right.
• 7:18
Speaker 4: On all my Walker rosters that I've had this summer,
• 7:21
Speaker 4: I have strapped him with Zach Sharbonay because we know
• 7:24
Speaker 4: when k Walker goes down that you have Charbonay to
• 7:26
Speaker 4: come in as a RB one because he is just
• 7:29
Speaker 4: as good in that system.
• 7:30
Speaker 3: So I feel good.
• 7:32
Speaker 4: About you know, Zach Charbonay as like a stashed, like
• 7:35
Speaker 4: as a handcuffs a guy that you're gonna have on
• 7:37
  Speaker 4: your bench.
• 7:38
Speaker 5: Just be ready to deployed when that time comes.
• 7:41
Speaker 3: Look, why are you starting Cooper Cup?
• 7:45
Speaker 5: So mg, I'm not though.
• 7:48
Speaker 4: Now I'm gonna be serious though, Like I've drafted these
• 7:51
Speaker 4: last two weeks of August a lot of Cooper Cup
• 7:53
Speaker 4: because I want him on my bench all season long.
• 7:56
Speaker 4: I don't want to see and look over at my
• 7:58
Speaker 4: league mates that they got him in the starting lineups
• 8:01
Speaker 4: and he has a great game, because that's gonna just
• 8:03
Speaker 4: turn the knife. It's going to turn the knife in
• 8:05
Speaker 4: my back to see him doing good over there and see.
• 8:07
  Speaker 3: You rather.
• 8:10
Speaker 5: Bench, Yes, there you go.
• 8:12
Speaker 1: I love that you're not drafting him the hope that
• 8:14
Speaker 1: he's going to be good. You're drafting him out of spite,
• 8:17
Speaker 1: just to like, yes, poking with a stick every now
• 8:20
  Speaker 1: it's a.
• 8:20
Speaker 2: While, like what is this Ben?
• 8:23
Speaker 1: And like Ramsey Bolden are you doing right now? What happening?
• 8:27
Speaker 2: And if he's bad, you just you now have a
• 8:29
Speaker 2: bad player sitting on your g's you know what I mean? Though,
• 8:34
Speaker 2: we know that there's a person in the Jones household
• 8:36
Speaker 2: that loves Cooper Cup.
• 8:38
Speaker 3: So you doing it for the family.
• 8:40
Speaker 1: How How can you look your son in the face
• 8:42
Speaker 1: and tell him that this is what.
• 8:43
Speaker 3: You're doing to Cooper Cup. I cannot because you are
• 8:47
Speaker 3: very upset. He'll be very upset.
• 8:50
Speaker 4: He doesn't know that I have these feelings for Cooper
• 8:52
Speaker 4: Cup and what his decision making he makes.
• 8:54
Speaker 2: He's like, oh, Dad's drafted Cooper Cup because he's still
• 8:57
Speaker 2: such a big fans.
• 8:59
Speaker 1: Yeah, So nostalgia all the things Cooper Cup did for
• 9:02
Speaker 1: the franchise, the Triple Crown, the Super Bowl win, That's
• 9:05
Speaker 1: what it's all about.
• 9:06
Speaker 5: Like, you know, I'm petty. God man, I'm super petty.
• 9:09
Speaker 3: It is what it is, man, man, just just ruining
• 9:13
Speaker 3: Christmas for kids. This is what you're doing right now.
• 9:15
Speaker 1: We're checking out the Lions and the Packers and the
• 9:19
Speaker 1: first touchdown odds for that game, and very little surprised.
• 9:24
Speaker 1: Josh Jacobs and Jamier Gibbs sort of leading the way.
• 9:28
Speaker 1: Josh Jacobs at plus four twenty, Jamiir Gibbs at plus
• 9:31
Speaker 1: six hundred to score a touchdown, and you got David
• 9:34
Speaker 1: Montgomery at plus nine hundred the Sun.
• 9:36
Speaker 3: God, I'm on ros Saint Brown plus nine fifty. Tucker Craft.
• 9:41
Speaker 1: This is the other Packer on this list, So we're
• 9:44
Speaker 1: just I mean, I know Jaden Reid is banged up,
• 9:46
Speaker 1: now you know the rest of the wide receiver like
• 9:50
Speaker 1: not even like a Jordan.
• 9:51
Speaker 2: Loves I would with Jamison Williams ahead of Tucker Craft personally.
• 9:55
Speaker 4: You know, where is Matthew Golden? Like this is alarming,
• 9:59
Speaker 4: Like I didn't see him on this list. That's weird
• 10:02
Speaker 4: though he's the one right apparently not Apparently it was
• 10:08
  Speaker 4: Romeo Dobbs.
• 10:09
Speaker 2: They love just giving him snaps, so like he'll probably
• 10:12
Speaker 2: lead the team and.
• 10:13
Speaker 3: Snaps again and They're like, well and then you guys, relax.
• 10:16
Speaker 5: It's gonna be Deon Tavin Wicks.
• 10:17
Speaker 3: What do we tom Me Wentz.
• 10:18
Speaker 1: He like he was the leader of targets last year.
• 10:21
Speaker 1: Like he like it wasn't even like eighty. I don't
• 10:24
Speaker 1: think he had like seventy nine targets.
• 10:25
Speaker 2: I think I tried to get Matthew Golden in a
• 10:27
Speaker 2: draft last night because I was like, I don't want
• 10:30
Speaker 2: to be wrong, and like, like I have none of him.
• 10:33
Speaker 2: I didn't get him. I have Jayden Reed on one team,
• 10:35
Speaker 2: like I have no Packers because it's been such like
• 10:39
Speaker 2: I know they have talent. I know that all of
• 10:41
Speaker 2: a sudden, everyone's trendy super Bowl pick, but like they
• 10:44
Speaker 2: have eighteen wide receivers.
• 10:46
Speaker 1: I think that was That's pretty much the hype from
• 10:48
  Speaker 1: the Michael Parsons.
• 10:49
Speaker 2: I don't get they like the second highest odds now
• 10:51
  Speaker 2: in the NFC.
• 10:52
Speaker 3: It is, you know what Michael Parsons trade.
• 10:55
Speaker 4: Jordan Love will be turning twenty seven this year, so
• 10:58
Speaker 4: bright far when he was twenty six, Evan won the
• 11:00
Speaker 4: Super Bowl. Aaron Rodgers twenty seven won the Super Bowl.
• 11:03
Speaker 4: I mean the stars are aligning over there in Green
• 11:05
  Speaker 4: Bay science.
• 11:07
Speaker 3: That just that just makes Packer Steelers super Bowl.
• 11:09
Speaker 2: You heard it here first, Oh.
• 11:12
Speaker 4: No, that would be a horrible John two weeks.
• 11:16
Speaker 3: Of hearing about Aaron Rodgers going against the Packers would
• 11:19
Speaker 3: be more excited than Aaron Rodgers.
• 11:21
Speaker 1: Oh that would be the worst. That script happened in
• 11:23
Speaker 1: the trash, Like, please don't let that happen. Let's look
• 11:27
Speaker 1: at this game thought from a fantasy perspective, right, and
• 11:30
Speaker 1: what we sort of expect here?
• 11:33
  Speaker 3: I have.
• 11:34
Speaker 1: You know, I was going to ask my Jared Goff
• 11:35
Speaker 1: question to La Kwan, but I'm not going to do
• 11:37
Speaker 1: that because I learned. I learned my lesson from Juwan Jennings.
• 11:40
Speaker 1: So Florida as you, if you drafted Jared Goff, chances
• 11:44
Speaker 1: are you also drafted another quarterback. I look at it
• 11:48
Speaker 1: as the indoor cat playing outdoors on the road in
• 11:52
Speaker 1: what could be sub sixty degree temperatures, which I know
• 11:55
Speaker 1: didn't sound like crazy, but for a kid from Marin County,
• 11:58
  Speaker 1: I mean that's.
• 11:58
Speaker 3: A little bit chilly.
• 11:59
Speaker 1: I'm new offensive coordinator against the Packer defense possibly featuring
• 12:04
Speaker 1: Michael Parsons. Like, I don't know, maybe I'm overthinking it,
• 12:07
Speaker 1: but that feels like a reason to maybe get away
• 12:09
Speaker 1: from golf this week.
• 12:10
Speaker 2: No, I don't think you're overthinking it at all, for
• 12:12
Speaker 2: all of the reasons you said. I have Goff as
• 12:15
Speaker 2: a sit this week. Plus he's played four games in
• 12:19
Speaker 2: Lambeau as a Lion. He has four total touchdowns in
• 12:22
Speaker 2: those games, like, and he averages just over two hundred
• 12:25
Speaker 2: yards per game in them. I have both quarterbacks actually
• 12:28
Speaker 2: in this game as sits, because Love doesn't have a
• 12:32
Speaker 2: good track record against the Lions either. I know a
• 12:34
Speaker 2: lot of the times teams like these get together and
• 12:36
  Speaker 2: we're like, they're two good offenses, They're gonna score a
• 12:39
Speaker 2: bunch of points. But like, these teams know each other
• 12:41
Speaker 2: so well that a lot of these division games end
• 12:44
Speaker 2: up being kind of ugly and like not really high scoring.
• 12:47
Speaker 2: So yeah, like I'm starting justin fields over golf in
• 12:50
Speaker 2: a couple of leagues, Like I have goffin super Flex.
• 12:52
Speaker 2: Obviously I'm starting him there. But if you couldn't get away,
• 12:56
Speaker 2: I would that being said, though, I'm starting my Lion's
• 12:59
Speaker 2: pass catchers, you know. Yeah, Like I don't love golf,
• 13:01
Speaker 2: but the pass catchers are good enough where I don't
• 13:04
Speaker 2: like options on my team better than those guys.
• 13:06
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 13:06
Speaker 1: Look, I've been all in on Jamison Williams. I mean,
• 13:09
Speaker 1: if you if you drafted, I'm on Ross Saint Brown.
• 13:11
Speaker 1: You spent a first round pick on him, Gibbs, you
• 13:13
Speaker 1: know Gibbs, Like you're not sitting regardless of the situation. Uh,
• 13:18
Speaker 1: you mentioned Matthew Golden Lakwan. Obviously I'm starting Josh Jacobs.
• 13:22
Speaker 1: I mean, really, is it just Josh Jacobs anybody else?
• 13:25
Speaker 1: I mean you're starting Jordan Love, Like, how many packers
• 13:27
Speaker 1: are you really starting this week?
• 13:30
  Speaker 2: Uh?
• 13:30
Speaker 4: I'm kind of staying away from like the Matthew Goldens
• 13:33
Speaker 4: of the world. I'm staying away from like the flex
• 13:35
Speaker 4: options out of the packers, you know situation. Even with
• 13:37
Speaker 4: Tucker Craft, I know a lot of folks went out
• 13:39
Speaker 4: of drafts and came with him as their tight end one.
• 13:42
  Speaker 4: I think people are overlooking Luke Musgrave's back. He's a
• 13:44
Speaker 4: vertical type of tight end Barry Speaster for six that
• 13:47
Speaker 4: he runs. So I think he's gonna have something to
• 13:49
Speaker 4: say this year because I think a lot of Tucker
• 13:52
Speaker 4: Kraft situational targets last season was because Luke Musgrave was hurt.
• 13:56
Speaker 4: So I know they're going to run a bunch of
• 13:57
Speaker 4: twelve personnel. So I do think that Tucker Craft is
• 14:00
Speaker 4: a sit and try to get away from him as
• 14:02
Speaker 4: your tight end one, like you need to have a
• 14:04
Speaker 4: tight end two that can be able to be serviceable,
• 14:07
Speaker 4: because I think a lot of his ADP was inflated
• 14:10
Speaker 4: just based on last season stats and situational targets that
• 14:13
  Speaker 4: he had.
• 14:14
  Speaker 1: I mean, I just I can't get behind Tucker Craft.
• 14:17
Speaker 1: I don't people sort of like him. I think your
• 14:18
Speaker 1: Musgrave point is actually a valid one. And just just
• 14:21
Speaker 1: the way they spread the ball around there, you know,
• 14:24
Speaker 1: throwing a dart at Tucker Craft on a weekly basis.
• 14:27
Speaker 1: It's just that's I just prefer not to live that way.
• 14:30
  Speaker 1: I just I just don't. I don't want to do that.
• 14:32
Speaker 1: I'm good. Still got three more games on the slate
• 14:35
Speaker 1: to get you some starts, and since four plus, we're
• 14:37
Speaker 1: gonna get wacky at the end with some hot takes.
• 14:39
Speaker 1: Stick around for more of the NFL Fantasy Football Show.
• 14:47
Speaker 1: Three more games to get through in week one here
• 14:50
Speaker 1: on the slate, the Texans at the Rams and uh
• 14:54
Speaker 1: for you, how many Texans are gonna eat against Lakwan's
• 14:56
Speaker 1: Rams this week? Oh?
• 14:58
  Speaker 3: Whoa one guy.
• 15:01
Speaker 2: Obviously, he's a mustard, and I got to explain that
• 15:03
  Speaker 2: one to you.
• 15:04
  Speaker 3: I have CJ.
• 15:05
Speaker 2: Stroud as they sit this week, Rams get pressure on
• 15:08
Speaker 2: the quarterback. Stroud struggled under pressure, and I have questions
• 15:10
Speaker 2: about that old line. I'm not trusting Nick Chubb. I
• 15:14
Speaker 2: really want to see it first, and even then, like
• 15:18
Speaker 2: and then the wide receivers behind Nico, there's upside there,
• 15:21
Speaker 2: there's potential there, but like Christiaan Kirk's already banged up
• 15:25
Speaker 2: the rookies, I'm not throwing out there not knowing what
• 15:27
Speaker 2: their volume is gonna look like. And Dalton Schultz is
• 15:30
Speaker 2: he was fun a couple of years ago, but he's
• 15:32
Speaker 2: kind of an afterthought at this point.
• 15:33
Speaker 3: He kind of is.
• 15:34
Speaker 1: But I kind of like Dalton Schultz is a sleeper
• 15:37
Speaker 1: this okay one because of all the things you said
• 15:39
Speaker 1: about the wide receiver room. Like I know this is
• 15:42
Speaker 1: not the greatest analysis, but they got to throw it
• 15:44
Speaker 1: to somebody else eventually, right, So like, why not Dalton Schultz?
• 15:47
Speaker 1: He was actually I think second on the team in
• 15:48
Speaker 1: targets last year, you know, and the Rams were not
• 15:53
  Speaker 1: great against the.
• 15:53
Speaker 3: Tight end position last year.
• 15:56
Speaker 1: Asked Tack Bryde, who finally scored the S wait until
• 15:58
Speaker 1: he saw the Rams to score touch down last season.
• 16:01
Speaker 3: So it's very much sleeper territory.
• 16:03
Speaker 1: I'm not guaranteeing that you should start him, but I
• 16:06
Speaker 1: do like him as a little I was waiting for
• 16:07
  Speaker 1: a rebuttal I was too.
• 16:09
  Speaker 3: No.
• 16:09
Speaker 4: No, it's facts because since Sean McVay has taken over,
• 16:13
Speaker 4: we have not been able to figure out how to
• 16:15
Speaker 4: stop the tight end. So you start your tight ends
• 16:17
Speaker 4: against our Rams defense. Because it's while that Sean McVay
• 16:20
Speaker 4: was a tight end coach in Washington and then specializes
• 16:24
Speaker 4: in understanding how to design plays for Titans.
• 16:26
Speaker 5: Play on defense. It's like, I don't know how to
• 16:28
  Speaker 5: stop that.
• 16:29
Speaker 3: I don't know for them. He's like, Titans are so
• 16:33
Speaker 3: good they can't be stopped. It's cool.
• 16:39
Speaker 1: Ravens at Bills on Sunday Night Football. This to me
• 16:43
Speaker 1: is the marquee matchup of the weekend, a replay, a
• 16:48
Speaker 1: rematch of what was an epic playoff.
• 16:50
Speaker 3: Game last year. You know you should be that Andrews
• 16:54
Speaker 3: holds onto a two point conversion.
• 16:56
Speaker 2: Yeah, they might not win that game.
• 16:57
Speaker 1: It might be a rap for him, but look, Makwan,
• 17:01
Speaker 1: we know who you're starting, right, You're starting all the
• 17:03
Speaker 1: big names, Josh Allen, James Cook, you know, Lamar Jackson,
• 17:08
Speaker 1: Derrick Henry, so on and so forth.
• 17:10
Speaker 3: Any potential sleepers though you see in this one Closha.
• 17:14
Speaker 4: Here, I mean, why even get cute in Week one,
• 17:16
Speaker 4: Like I could see him having a strong performance, you know,
• 17:19
Speaker 4: coming out of the gates as Josh Allen's most reliable asset,
• 17:22
Speaker 4: his sure thing, because we know that he's going to
• 17:24
Speaker 4: be targeting that slot very often than not. So obviously,
• 17:28
Speaker 4: khaloshakir Man, you should be trying to fit him into
• 17:30
Speaker 4: your flex position against this Ravens defense where they've struggled
• 17:34
Speaker 4: actually in the past of stopping slot wide receivers. So
• 17:36
Speaker 4: I do think with them allowing a ton of big
• 17:39
Speaker 4: plays last season to the wide receiver position, Kolosha here
• 17:42
Speaker 4: can come out swinging and put up some big numbers
• 17:44
  Speaker 4: in Week one.
• 17:45
Speaker 1: On Thursday's edition of NFL Fantasy Live, I did these
• 17:48
Speaker 1: slots of fun segment guys that I think you're gonna
• 17:50
Speaker 1: have decent games. From the slots, I projected eight catches
• 17:53
Speaker 1: for eighty nine yards for kaloshakir I let Adam Ranks
• 17:57
Speaker 1: wort appear pressure me in to giving him a touchdown,
• 18:00
Speaker 1: guarding him in a couple of leagues ranks like, yeah,
• 18:02
Speaker 1: he adopted like nineteen dogs over the summer as I did.
• 18:06
  Speaker 3: I'll give it.
• 18:07
Speaker 1: So looking for big things from Khalil Shakir this week
• 18:11
Speaker 1: should be but that should be a lot of fun.
• 18:13
Speaker 2: That game saved dogs off the field, is a dog
• 18:15
  Speaker 2: on the.
• 18:15
  Speaker 3: Field, It's all.
• 18:17
Speaker 1: It all comes full circle and then does not have
• 18:20
Speaker 1: a rooting interest in that game. I can, you know,
• 18:22
Speaker 1: sit back and have a cold one and watch it?
• 18:24
Speaker 1: Will do you sit down for big games or you
• 18:27
Speaker 1: are you a pacer?
• 18:28
Speaker 2: I'm a pacer, especially football, Like I'll run out of
• 18:32
Speaker 2: the room like I I you know, like that's why
• 18:35
Speaker 2: I like to be home for big because I want
• 18:38
Speaker 2: to react. However, however, my body in that moment feels
• 18:42
  Speaker 2: like reacting.
• 18:42
Speaker 3: I one hundred percent understand that I have no judgment
• 18:45
Speaker 3: for me at all.
• 18:46
  Speaker 5: I'm pacing.
• 18:47
Speaker 4: I'm standing up in front of the TV too, and
• 18:49
Speaker 4: just from the screen screaming.
• 18:51
Speaker 5: But this is the Jared goof times of the year.
• 18:53
Speaker 3: So that like three.
• 18:54
Speaker 2: Regular season games a year, like the Ravens being one
• 18:57
Speaker 2: of them, that'll make me get like. The Chiefs are
• 18:59
Speaker 2: always a big one. Are the regular season games. I'm like,
• 19:01
Speaker 2: all right, Bills are gonna win.
• 19:03
Speaker 1: Like it's a very nice place to be in a
• 19:05
Speaker 1: place to be in. You know, you have two emotions.
• 19:07
Speaker 1: It's either relief or despair, like those.
• 19:10
Speaker 2: When they lose a game, you think they're gonna win
• 19:12
Speaker 2: though you just all week you're like, what ha, just.
• 19:16
Speaker 3: You don't want to come to work because you know
• 19:17
Speaker 3: it's gonna be on TV. Here it's the worst.
• 19:19
Speaker 1: Monday night football vikings at the Bears. You know, everybody's
• 19:23
Speaker 1: excited right about the Bears. Lakwan Ben Johnson's taking over.
• 19:27
Speaker 3: Uh, you know I asked you about Ravens and Bill,
• 19:29
Speaker 3: So'm gonna go to Florida Now.
• 19:32
Speaker 1: Ben Johnson's there. Caleb Williams in year two, your expectations
• 19:35
Speaker 1: for the new Bears offense.
• 19:36
Speaker 2: I'm very bullish on this Bears offense, not not just
• 19:39
Speaker 2: Ben Johnson, but the they rebuilt the interior part of
• 19:42
Speaker 2: the old line. Those two things together adding more weapons
• 19:45
Speaker 2: to I think it's skys like I have Kleb been
• 19:48
Speaker 2: a good amount of leagues.
• 19:49
  Speaker 3: DJ Moore.
• 19:50
Speaker 2: Dj Moore kept falling all draft season, and I was like,
• 19:52
Speaker 2: all right, I'll just keep taking It got to a
• 19:53
Speaker 2: point where I had to tell myself stop drafting Dj
• 19:56
Speaker 2: Moore because he's gonna be on all double digits of
• 19:58
Speaker 2: your team. I have Romadoonsay and the Bunch. I took
• 20:01
Speaker 2: flyers on Colson Lovelin. I love DeAndre Swift. Like this week,
• 20:05
Speaker 2: I'm playing almost all my Bears because the Vikings last
• 20:09
Speaker 2: year they were really good against the run, but they
• 20:11
Speaker 2: really struggled against the pass. And I'm just excited for
• 20:14
Speaker 2: I'm gonna be watching this game. I'm excited for Ben
• 20:16
Speaker 2: Johnson I draft. I'm a big believer than in Week
• 20:19
Speaker 2: one unless you guy like has like maybe Calvin Ridley.
• 20:22
Speaker 2: We talked about him earlier, like you want to get
• 20:23
Speaker 2: away from that matchup, but like if you drafted a
• 20:26
Speaker 2: guy to be your starter, start him in week one
• 20:28
Speaker 2: like that. I'm a big believer in that.
• 20:30
Speaker 1: Yeah, no, absolutely, I'm I'm with you though. I have
• 20:32
Speaker 1: a lot of Romo Donza, a lot of Kleaboys, a
• 20:34
Speaker 1: lot of DeAndre Swift.
• 20:36
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 20:36
Speaker 1: I'm very big on the on the Bears offense this year,
• 20:39
Speaker 1: so looking forward to seeing it in Week one. I
• 20:42
Speaker 1: know Ben Johnson was not always happy. I know the
• 20:44
Speaker 1: preseason performances at times looked a little rough, but I'm
• 20:47
Speaker 1: very encouraged about what I expect to see from them
• 20:50
Speaker 1: in year two. I keep saying it bears fans, you
• 20:52
Speaker 1: will finally get your first four thousand yard passer this year,
• 20:55
Speaker 1: Chicago Pope before passer. No, we're not having Makwan through
• 21:01
Speaker 1: fight ons anymore. No, you're you're banned from fight ons
• 21:04
Speaker 1: because you know this is not little bunny fufu hop
• 21:07
Speaker 1: it through the forest. It's not stop it doing bold
• 21:10
Speaker 1: predictions for week one, Lakwan, My bold prediction is that
• 21:13
Speaker 1: at some point you're gonna learn how to actually do.
• 21:14
Speaker 3: A fight on. What is your bold prediction for Week one?
• 21:18
  Speaker 1: Man?
• 21:19
Speaker 4: Traves Etn Jr. Is going to mess up the fancy
• 21:21
  Speaker 4: streets minds.
• 21:22
  Speaker 5: Man.
• 21:22
Speaker 4: I'm hoping that he actually goes out for a RB
• 21:25
Speaker 4: one performance against the Panthers, who we're god awful against
• 21:29
Speaker 4: running backs last season. And I think all the confusion
• 21:32
Speaker 4: in the offseason has been around traves Etn his role
• 21:35
Speaker 4: in this offense, and I think Liam Cohen giving him
• 21:38
Speaker 4: a boost of confidence that he is the RB one.
• 21:41
Speaker 4: This is the matchup for him to come out, swing
• 21:43
Speaker 4: in and put the haters to bed. So Traves etn
• 21:46
Speaker 4: is in one of my flex positions this week, just
• 21:48
Speaker 4: based on the matchup.
• 21:49
Speaker 3: Nothing about Trevor mid Lawrence huh no.
• 21:51
Speaker 5: No, oh no, no, the middle meter will make its debut.
• 21:55
Speaker 5: I mean I got it right here, actually real quick.
• 21:57
Speaker 5: If I could just show you guys.
• 21:58
Speaker 4: The middle meter has been made, okay, and we'll break
• 22:01
Speaker 4: it down you know later in a different show.
• 22:05
Speaker 1: Just stay tuned for later in the season when the
• 22:07
Speaker 1: mid O meter Actually, because the baby you go to.
• 22:09
Speaker 2: Staples and just routinely print out headshots.
• 22:12
Speaker 4: And players like, yeah, I'm walking distance from it, bro,
• 22:15
Speaker 4: how did you know?
• 22:17
Speaker 1: Like they're like, all right, here we go again. Here
• 22:20
Speaker 1: we are at some random football player man probably film
• 22:24
Speaker 1: a TikTok who knows what.
• 22:26
Speaker 3: Yes, Florio, what is your bold prediction for the week one?
• 22:31
Speaker 2: Then I know LQ will be on board with not one,
• 22:34
Speaker 2: but both Broncos running backs go out and finish ones.
• 22:39
Speaker 2: I think game script is heavily going to be on
• 22:42
Speaker 2: their side because the Titans have Look, I'm a big
• 22:45
Speaker 2: cam Ward believer, but it is first NFL game and
• 22:49
Speaker 2: it is against the number one defense from last year,
• 22:51
Speaker 2: the number, the defensive player of the year, all of that,
• 22:54
Speaker 2: so I think there's gonna be growing pains. I think
• 22:56
Speaker 2: both Nicks and co come out, they do their thing,
• 22:58
Speaker 2: and I think the second half is just like grinding
• 23:01
Speaker 2: out the clock using the running back. So I'm starting
• 23:05
Speaker 2: Harvey where I have them, and I'm also flexing JK.
• 23:07
Speaker 2: Dobbins in a good amount of leagues as well, because
• 23:10
Speaker 2: I think they're both gonna be utilized.
• 23:12
Speaker 3: In the passing game.
• 23:13
Speaker 2: I wouldn't be surprised if both scoring a touchdown this week.
• 23:16
Speaker 2: I know the Titans last year were middle of the
• 23:18
Speaker 2: pack against running backs, but they gave up a lot
• 23:20
Speaker 2: of yards both in the air and on the ground,
• 23:22
Speaker 2: so I'm expecting good things for the Broncos.
• 23:24
Speaker 3: Guys. Yeah, you guys see these highlights?
• 23:26
Speaker 1: Oh my god, bro, it's preseason.
• 23:31
Speaker 3: What are you doing anyway, I'm glad that you're finding
• 23:36
Speaker 3: a moment of joy in this.
• 23:37
Speaker 2: You're about to bring the extra hot right?
• 23:39
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, no, this is the ridiculous, Like you need
• 23:42
Speaker 1: a glass of a big giant couple of horchata to
• 23:44
Speaker 1: like cool your mouth off after this one. Joe Flacco
• 23:48
Speaker 1: Top ten quarterback this week. See here's the one about
• 23:50
Speaker 1: the Bengals defense. It gives up a lot of yards,
• 23:54
Speaker 1: and the Bengals are gonna throw the The Bengal's gonna throw
• 23:56
Speaker 1: the ball a lot. The Bengals defense gives up a
• 23:58
Speaker 1: lot of yards. Joe Flacco is going to have to
• 24:00
Speaker 1: throw the ball a lot. This is dude who threw
• 24:01
Speaker 1: the ball more than forty times a game the last
• 24:03
Speaker 1: time he was with him.
• 24:04
Speaker 3: Point I love this. We got a whole graphic the.
• 24:06
Speaker 1: Last time he was with the Browns, he was throwing
• 24:07
Speaker 1: the ball more than forty times a game. I don't
• 24:09
Speaker 1: know if they plan on that happening, but it could
• 24:10
Speaker 1: very well happen again.
• 24:12
Speaker 3: I think if there's gonna be some picks in there.
• 24:13
  Speaker 3: Don't get me.
• 24:14
Speaker 1: Wrong, but he's gonna throw a lot because the Browns
• 24:16
Speaker 1: are gonna need him to throw a lot, and he's
• 24:18
  Speaker 1: gonna sneak.
• 24:18
Speaker 3: He's gonna be guys like, Joe.
• 24:20
Speaker 1: Flack was a top ten quarterback and then we're gonna
• 24:22
Speaker 1: be like, Okay, don't don't get it.
• 24:23
Speaker 3: I can see his stat line already.
• 24:24
Speaker 2: It's gonna be like three hundred and thirty yards, three touchdowns,
• 24:27
  Speaker 2: three in Yeah.
• 24:29
Speaker 3: He'll he'll pull the jamis pretty flock out big jersey.
• 24:33
Speaker 3: It'll be great jersey. There you go.
• 24:35
Speaker 1: Those are our hot takes heading into Week one. Meantime,
• 24:37
Speaker 1: that is it's we are done. We appreciate you hanging
• 24:40
Speaker 1: out with the NFL Fantasy Football Show presented by Caesar Sportsbook.
• 24:43
Speaker 3: You know the drill.
• 24:44
Speaker 1: Tell two friends to tell two friends rate review and
• 24:46
Speaker 1: remember lazy's an ugly word. College selective participation, be safe
• 24:50
Speaker 1: to take care of yourselves. Enjoy Week one everybody, and
• 24:52
Speaker 1: we will talk to you on Monday.
• 25:00
  Speaker 5: Attatatatatatatatatatata
