- 0:00Speaker 1: It's the Mark Simon Show live from the DOBR Life
- 0:04Speaker 1: Back studios. Hey, well, take some calls in in a minute.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten is
- 0:15Speaker 1: the number. You can talk about whatever you want, but
- 0:17Speaker 1: let me know what you think of the new first
- 0:19Speaker 1: hour nine to noon ideas suggestions. This always goes badly
- 0:25Speaker 1: whenever you do that. But eight hundred three to two
- 0:28Speaker 1: one zero seven ten is the number. The Mangioni Luigi
- 0:33Speaker 1: Mangioni trial about to get underway. It's going to be
- 0:37Speaker 1: a real, real circus now. The judge has made all
- 0:41Speaker 1: kinds of rulings, so many people want to be there.
- 0:43Speaker 1: There will be in an overflow room because eighty extra
- 0:49Speaker 1: news organizations are expected, eighty more than usual. And then
- 0:53Speaker 1: you got these whatever they call them, these Luigi Mangione
- 0:56Speaker 1: groupies that are all over the place. There's going to
- 1:00Speaker 1: be tons of fans out believe or not this mass.
- 1:04Speaker 1: They're not mass, but this vicious killer has all kinds
- 1:08Speaker 1: of fans, so they'll be outside cheering. And the judge
- 1:13Speaker 1: has ruled that the jurors, everybody working on the case, jurors,
- 1:16Speaker 1: prosecutors will be anonymous because there is potential for intimidation
- 1:22Speaker 1: and harassment by the accused killers sickest fans you see.
- 1:28Speaker 1: No matter how bad you are, you're going to have fans.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Whether you're El Sayad, whether you're Luichi Manng you own,
- 1:35Speaker 1: no matter what crazy things you say or do, you
- 1:38Speaker 1: will have fans. There's a lot of fight now for
- 1:42Speaker 1: having cameras in the courtroom. That's not gonna happen. I
- 1:46Speaker 1: don't think so. But and they're fighting over you know
- 1:49Speaker 1: what evidence is. Every INChO Manhattan has a surveillance camera
- 1:53Speaker 1: on it. In this shooting which took place right over there,
- 1:56Speaker 1: right across the street from here, there's surveillance cameras everywhere.
- 2:01Speaker 1: You can see the shooting from every angle. You can
- 2:03Speaker 1: see it. I don't know what the I don't know
- 2:06Speaker 1: what the trial's even for. You got him. I don't
- 2:08Speaker 1: know why he doesn't just confess. They got him. Here.
- 2:10Speaker 1: It is on video. You can watch him do the
- 2:12Speaker 1: whole thing. Then you can see him run into that
- 2:17Speaker 1: They call it in an alley, but it's actually it's
- 2:18Speaker 1: Fisher Park. It's quite beautiful between two buildings. And then
- 2:23Speaker 1: it came right over this way and you can see
- 2:26Speaker 1: him changes. You can see everything. Anyway, let's take some calls.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten is the number.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Let's go to Mike in Florida. Mike, how you doing.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Good morning, Mark as Mike, I'm back in the car.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Oh good, I was driving Florida as if you have
- 2:46Speaker 1: to go, it's Florida.
- 2:47Speaker 3: What do you say, exactly, I drive around in circles.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, what with Clinton?
- 2:55Speaker 3: What Hillary Clinton sails to mention is that Trump had
- 2:57Speaker 3: to put all that gold on the walls to hide
- 2:59Speaker 3: all the stay Yeah.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Right, Actually, you know, it's actually kind of a myth.
- 3:09Speaker 1: The encounter with President Clinton and Monica was not actually
- 3:14Speaker 1: in that room. It's the Oval office, is that big
- 3:17Speaker 1: Oval office. But then there's a little you see one
- 3:20Speaker 1: of those doors. You go down a little little hallway
- 3:23Speaker 1: into the private office. That's the president's private office. And
- 3:28Speaker 1: then also there's a little private dining room there. So
- 3:31Speaker 1: that's where all the Clinton uh cigar escapades. That's where
- 3:38Speaker 1: it took place. It wasn't actually in the actual Oval office, but.
- 3:41Speaker 3: Well, and there's also our tier stayins probably all over
- 3:44Speaker 3: the you know, like Hillaris tear stains all over the
- 3:46Speaker 3: walls as well.
- 3:47Speaker 2: So it's you know, either way, it's needed to be
- 3:50Speaker 2: covered up.
- 3:51Speaker 3: I liked, I liked the first hour. I would have preferred,
- 3:54Speaker 3: you know, I think like many people I've heard to speak,
- 3:56Speaker 3: you know, on the you know, Colon, say they would
- 3:58Speaker 3: preferred it from ten to one. But I understand why
- 4:00Speaker 3: they did.
- 4:01Speaker 1: I can't move Bucking Play very popular show. Everybody loves
- 4:05Speaker 1: Bucking Clay. They're up to like ten million listeners now,
- 4:08Speaker 1: doing very.
- 4:09Speaker 3: Very Are you thinking of maybe adding a guest in
- 4:12Speaker 3: the first hour like you're doing the second and third
- 4:15Speaker 3: hour now, or.
- 4:16Speaker 1: You still we don't need a guest, do we in
- 4:19Speaker 1: the first hour?
- 4:20Speaker 4: No?
- 4:20Speaker 3: I don't think so.
- 4:21Speaker 2: I think it's I think the way it's set up
- 4:23Speaker 2: is nice.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Some shows that are all guests, they'll have like thirty
- 4:26Speaker 1: seven guests every show. Do you think they're getting pissed
- 4:29Speaker 1: but you have something to say.
- 4:30Speaker 3: You're smart and you have something to say those those
- 4:32Speaker 3: hosts don't have anything to say, so you need to
- 4:34Speaker 3: steal it up.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Well, No, you know what it is. If I'm listening
- 4:36Speaker 1: to a show and they go coming up next, we're
- 4:38Speaker 1: going to talk to Senator Ron Johnson, I don't want
- 4:42Speaker 1: to hear that for ten minutes. Ron Johnson, I mean,
- 4:46Speaker 1: he's a nice guy. I love him as a senator,
- 4:48Speaker 1: but I don't want to hear him.
- 4:49Speaker 3: You know, I'm with you. I'm with you, all right.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Thanks for calling. You know. I love Mike Johnson. He's great,
- 4:56Speaker 1: do you speaker of that? Love the guy. But sometimes
- 4:58Speaker 1: I you know, you run into him a sitting with
- 5:00Speaker 1: them on the couch in the green room, and you
- 5:02Speaker 1: got to make conversation for ten minutes. It's not a
- 5:05Speaker 1: lot of fun. It's you don't need all that. I mean,
- 5:08Speaker 1: there's some guests you want to hear, but ninety percent
- 5:11Speaker 1: of them you really don't need. Let's go to Rich
- 5:15Speaker 1: in Myrtle Beach. Rich How you doing?
- 5:18Speaker 4: Hey? Thanks?
- 5:18Speaker 2: Mark?
- 5:18Speaker 3: How you doing? Yeah?
- 5:20Speaker 2: I like the first hour. You know, guess once in
- 5:22Speaker 2: a while would be good. But a setup pretty well
- 5:24Speaker 2: the way it is. You know, no no elected officialist
- 5:29Speaker 2: country other than the president should ever have a security
- 5:32Speaker 2: detail paid for by the American taxpayer if they're leaving
- 5:35Speaker 2: this country, like when Pelosi, you know, all those people
- 5:37Speaker 2: went over to see what's his name over there in Ukraine.
- 5:42Speaker 2: None of us should be paid for by taxpayer.
- 5:44Speaker 1: You go somewhere tis vacation official, especially in Congress, they
- 5:47Speaker 1: do have to make a foreign trip for some legitimate
- 5:51Speaker 1: government purpose.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Well, you went on a lot of them, like they're
- 5:53Speaker 2: taking all their friends on the air force plane like
- 5:56Speaker 2: Pelosi didn't, So we shouldn't be paying for that stuff.
- 5:59Speaker 2: And down here, when I came home last night, Lindsey
- 6:03Speaker 2: Graham's sister was in a runoff with the Ralph Norman,
- 6:07Speaker 2: the second place winning nobody reached fifty percent. I don't
- 6:10Speaker 2: know why w R is reporting that she won her primary.
- 6:13Speaker 1: She didn't well check into it, but I think everybody
- 6:15Speaker 1: else is reporting that. But we'll see, we'll see. He's
- 6:19Speaker 1: not that popeat you have to hit. You're in South Carolina,
- 6:22Speaker 1: right right, And Lindsey Graham is not as popular as
- 6:25Speaker 1: we might believe in South Carolina.
- 6:27Speaker 2: So it's not not at all. And the sister's going
- 6:29Speaker 2: to be even less popular list and is still a
- 6:31Speaker 2: red steak. She's still gonna win if if she ends
- 6:33Speaker 2: up winning the primary against Ralph Norman, who's a career politician,
- 6:37Speaker 2: swamp monster. Down here, it's you know, it's between besides
- 6:40Speaker 2: the inbreeding and all the back door policies down here
- 6:44Speaker 2: in the politicians. This is old school southern you know
- 6:48Speaker 2: politics down here. No matter who runs, if they're read,
- 6:51Speaker 2: they're going to win this state. It's just the corruption
- 6:55Speaker 2: is unbelievable, don't you.
- 6:57Speaker 1: All right? Well, thanks for the insight. He is in Southline.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Thanks for calling. Yeah, Sometimes these congress people, it is
- 7:04Speaker 1: a legitimate trip, like if they're going over to Ukraine
- 7:07Speaker 1: to meet with Zolenski, that can be a legitimate government purpose,
- 7:10Speaker 1: so taxpayers, I guess should pay for it, although I
- 7:14Speaker 1: don't know. Can't you zoom with the guy? I mean,
- 7:16Speaker 1: you ever really have to go over there. And then
- 7:18Speaker 1: a lot of these government trips they create a government
- 7:21Speaker 1: purpose because they all want to go to Paris or something,
- 7:24Speaker 1: and these government you know, when a bunch of congressmen
- 7:27Speaker 1: go on one of these junkets, very often it's a
- 7:30Speaker 1: big military plane, and many times the congressman the military
- 7:34Speaker 1: plane there is a bit of a cargo plane as well.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Now why would they need a cargo type plane? Well,
- 7:40Speaker 1: because if they're going to visit the South Korea to
- 7:43Speaker 1: talk with leaders in South Korea. And congressmen have told
- 7:47Speaker 1: me this. Some are pretty honest and they don't like it.
- 7:50Speaker 1: As they come back to the plane. They notice the
- 7:52Speaker 1: cargo hold is being loaded up with TVs, with washing machines,
- 7:55Speaker 1: with Samsung stuff and LG and South Korean product because
- 8:01Speaker 1: they're all gifts for the congressman and they'll bring them
- 8:05Speaker 1: all back. Let's go to one more. Carl in Sayerville,
- 8:08Speaker 1: New Jersey. Carl, how you doing, hi?
- 8:11Speaker 2: Mark?
- 8:11Speaker 4: You know I got a kick out of A Cassio
- 8:14Speaker 4: Corte is going on these talk shows on like Sunday
- 8:18Speaker 4: or on a weekend, and no one asks her how
- 8:21Speaker 4: come she denied Amazon from going in her district to
- 8:25Speaker 4: build a facility. No one asks her or anything about that.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Well, that's why they call it fake news, because if
- 8:31Speaker 1: you watch the networks, if you watch CNN, MSNBC, you're
- 8:35Speaker 1: really not getting any real news because they'll never ask
- 8:40Speaker 1: they'll leave out three quarters of the story. You're right.
- 8:43Speaker 1: They won't ask certain questions. They'll never ask anything. You know,
- 8:46Speaker 1: if my mom Donnie could do an interview, they'll never
- 8:48Speaker 1: say them, Hey, what happened those free buses? You never
- 8:51Speaker 1: came through with the free buses, and it's a problem.
- 8:56Speaker 1: You know, again, meet the press. L said, they never
- 8:58Speaker 1: asked him anything. A Cassio Corte. She was on the
- 9:01Speaker 1: Sunday Morning Show with Jonathan carl never asked her half
- 9:05Speaker 1: the things you're supposed to ask her. So yeah, let
- 9:08Speaker 1: me just point out it is true. Lindsey Graham's sister
- 9:12Speaker 1: just advances to the next round. Nobody got over fifty percent.
- 9:15Speaker 1: She will face Norman in a runoff, so she has
- 9:18Speaker 1: not won the nomination yet. She will face him in
- 9:22Speaker 1: a runoff. That's August twenty fifth, so there will be
- 9:26Speaker 1: a runoff, but she has advanced to the next level. Hey,
- 9:29Speaker 1: the other thing is Florida. You want a new governor.
- 9:33Speaker 1: You're losing Ron DeSantis because of term limits. He's been
- 9:36Speaker 1: a great governor, but you need a replacement. Now there's
- 9:40Speaker 1: Byron Donalds, who'd be the best choice. That primary is
- 9:45Speaker 1: coming up next Tuesday. It'll be the Florida governor primary.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Now on the Republican side, he got like twelve candidates.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Only a couple are really really have a shot. So
- 9:55Speaker 1: keep an eye on that next week. Don't forget. I'm
- 9:58Speaker 1: here nine to noon every day, three hours now night.
- 10:01Speaker 1: We start at nine o'clock now nine to noon every weekday.
- 10:05Speaker 1: Then at noon it's Bucking Clay with an excellent show.
- 10:08Speaker 1: And then you got the most listen to radio show
- 10:11Speaker 1: in America. You got Sean Handy three o'clock, you got
- 10:14Speaker 1: Jesse Kelly at six o'clock, very funny Jimmy Fayla every
- 10:18Speaker 1: night nine to midnight. And that's all here on seven
- 10:21Speaker 1: ten WR
