- 0:12What is going on everybody? ABJBP Burke back on the call
- 0:16Tornado tag on the ABJ podcast. Today we're going to be covering
- 0:21the weekend's recent PPL ES with Forbidden Door and Heat Wave,
- 0:25the upcoming clash in Paris, the Raja Jackson and Stew Psycho
- 0:29Stew incident and much more. Let's get on with the show.
- 0:33BP Burke. What is going on bud?
- 0:36Everything, everything's going on.
- 0:39Lots are going on, yeah. I, I burned out my light in the
- 0:43back, so I have no more fancy lights until I can get a new one
- 0:46and replace it. So, so we're going, we're going
- 0:48raw dog with the lighting today. You know what I mean?
- 0:52Yeah, as my lighting gets better, yours gets worse.
- 0:55So it's it's. Just a color aspect, Yeah, but
- 0:57your, your camera looks gorgeous.
- 0:59It looks amazing. Yeah, no, it's, it's, it's a big
- 1:04upgrade, big upgrade. I can.
- 1:06I can show off the wrestling wall now.
- 1:08Yeah, it looks good, looks good. But actually as of tonight, as
- 1:13of this is recording my belt makers like 2 blocks down the
- 1:17street from my house. And as soon as this is done, I
- 1:19get my my brand new title and then I hand him your tag team
- 1:23title and maybe a title back there and we get some
- 1:27modifications done. But let's get into this week in
- 1:31wrestling. The first one we're going to
- 1:32cover is the big one is the one everyone's talking about.
- 1:35What everyone's going. Literally everyone, I think
- 1:38everybody in the United States besides you and I have weighed
- 1:41in on this thing. Yeah, well, now's our chance,
- 1:43BP. The world has been waiting.
- 1:45What does ABJ and BP Ferg think of what happened at what is it
- 1:51called Knox? Knox Pro Yeah, Knox, which was
- 1:57no longer, as it seems, a WWEID developmental school.
- 2:01Good. Owned by, yeah, owned by.
- 2:05I believe the primary owner is Reno Onawaii, who is also known
- 2:08as the Black Pearl. I believe he was the primary
- 2:11owner of the the company and also Rikishi was is one of the
- 2:16trainers there. Before we get into the incident,
- 2:19let's just talk about the locker room of this place as of someone
- 2:23who we've been in some pro wrestling locker rooms.
- 2:26Yeah. What do you what do you think of
- 2:29how how it's getting? Well, I mean, the thing with
- 2:34this, and this is kind of the crux of like what my limited
- 2:38expertise would say, you always have to be so, so, so careful
- 2:44when you're doing anything with a non wrestler.
- 2:47And I've never been in this situation.
- 2:49But that goes double if that non wrestler is like a boxer, an MMA
- 2:53fighter, a Muay Thai kickboxer or something like that, where if
- 2:58things go South, they could get ugly very quickly.
- 3:00But yes, by and large, if you're dealing with somebody who is not
- 3:05a wrestler, who is not with it, you really have to be very
- 3:10delicate. And, and that starts from the
- 3:13top. That starts from the top.
- 3:14That starts from ownership management booking.
- 3:17You have to be careful. Yeah, I did think it was very
- 3:21entertaining that they kept saying we'll talk to the
- 3:22president about it, We'll talk to the president.
- 3:25If I ever went to a promotion and they said go talk to the
- 3:30president, I'd be like, I'm fucking leaving, what are we
- 3:32doing here? So I will say this.
- 3:35The president, I didn't see this the like the president of the
- 3:37United States. No, they call.
- 3:39They treat their wrestling school like a fucking motorcycle
- 3:42club. It's wild to me.
- 3:43Yeah, like. The president.
- 3:47And promotions, especially ones that have schools attached to
- 3:50them, can be very culty sometimes.
- 3:52Yes, yes they can. Yeah, and that locker room
- 3:56definitely show. And it also showed to me that
- 3:58they don't like to pay money because some of that locker room
- 4:01was rough. Yeah, yeah.
- 4:06But it it's students usually and, and you, you try to give
- 4:09your students opportunities like part of the idea of a wrestling
- 4:12school to to kind of defend the concept of a wrestling school.
- 4:15Part of the idea of a wrestling school is if somebody's new, if
- 4:19somebody's kind of still learning the ropes, if
- 4:20somebody's still, you know, not quite ready to travel and and
- 4:26learn even more, they can get their early reps in a in a, in a
- 4:29more safe environment. And so, yes, so that that's part
- 4:33of it. Not to defend you know there
- 4:35will be very little defending of Knox pro in in this from my end
- 4:40and I think from your end as well.
- 4:41Yeah, but but just in general, I think that's that's what's going
- 4:44on there is is sometimes you do want to, you know, give your.
- 4:47People a shot. I don't know the cowboy
- 4:49character name. That's the only guy's name.
- 4:51Oh, AJAJ mana, I guess it is her mana is I think it's.
- 4:56Too AJ, we'll just say AJAJ invites Raja to Raja is a RA.
- 5:01I don't know, Raja. I believe it's Raja, the son of
- 5:04Quentin Rampage Jackson. The son of Quentin Rampage
- 5:06Jackson, he invites him to the to the show.
- 5:09They trained together at the gym.
- 5:11He's a pro, he's an MMA guy as well as a pro wrestler.
- 5:14He invites him to the show. Raja come, Raja comes backstage
- 5:18and once again they're backstage.
- 5:22Usually if you're backstage and and if you have a camera, you're
- 5:26probably somewhat in the know or what's going on.
- 5:31I I don't know, I'll I'll pose this question later, but I'll
- 5:34kind of go through the key the key events that happened here.
- 5:39So they're backstage, Stu and and Raja get kind of in a face
- 5:43to face Stu's. I mean, from a wrestling
- 5:45standpoint. I now I have debated this in in,
- 5:50in countless TikTok lives because I genuinely am putting
- 5:53myself more in spaces where I can talk to non wrestling fans
- 5:57or different types of wrestling fans so I can gauge their
- 6:00headspaces. So I can bring it to this
- 6:02podcast and try to say, hey, BP, this is what people legit think.
- 6:06So we're going to get into some fun ones here.
- 6:08But from a standpoint of knowing professional wrestling, Stu's
- 6:12clearly working Stu. Stu is trying to do an angle.
- 6:15He's he's, he's playing a bit, he's doing a character and he
- 6:19takes a can, which by the way, Mark Henry, it was a can, not a
- 6:23bottle. You should probably watch the
- 6:25footage again before you weigh in on it.
- 6:26That's fucking insane to me that like, First off, I don't know if
- 6:31this happened to you, but a lot of people at my job and other
- 6:34places know I'm the pro wrestling guy.
- 6:36Like if you're in your everyday life and people know you as the
- 6:40pro wrestling guy, I've been approached by this story and
- 6:43this is something that affects the business at every level,
- 6:46from fans to everybody. This is a rough story for us as
- 6:51a business, you know what I mean?
- 6:52So to not get a detail as a bottle, that's crazy to me.
- 6:57But anyway, go go watch Mark Henry on Busted Open.
- 7:00I'm sure he has amazing other takes.
- 7:02He dropped the ball in this one. So he gets a can and he does a
- 7:06worker shot. He puts his hand on his head and
- 7:08hits him with the can. He doesn't even flinch.
- 7:11So you know he didn't put anything on that hit.
- 7:14First off, rewind wiser open beer before the show even
- 7:18starts. Well.
- 7:19It's a wrestling show, so that there you.
- 7:21Go Well, I'm just going to put that out there.
- 7:22There's one strike on your promotion right there that dudes
- 7:25are drinking before the show. Don't like that?
- 7:29Yeah. I'm not a fan of it either.
- 7:32Yeah, no. One after the show.
- 7:33After the show. Drink all you want, as long as
- 7:34you're not. After your match.
- 7:35After your match, have a beer but stay out of everyone else's
- 7:38way that who still has to work. If you want to have a beer or
- 7:41smoke or whatever you do, have your match and then stay the
- 7:44fuck away from everybody else and enjoy what you do after your
- 7:47match. No beef with that.
- 7:48But pre show before anything happens and there's open cans.
- 7:52Not good. Not.
- 7:54Good. Yeah.
- 7:54All right. Yeah, that is so it's true.
- 7:56Yeah. So they immediately face off.
- 7:59I don't like that. He feels disrespected.
- 8:02It gets it gets tense. He still immediately realizes,
- 8:05oh shit, I fucked up. He's not a worker.
- 8:08I, I, I, I, I. He goes to apologize.
- 8:11No apology except at the moment they keep talking.
- 8:14Insert us. He's like us, we're always
- 8:16working. We're going to do a whole angle.
- 8:18You're going to come in on his match and we're going to do this
- 8:20whole thing. Horrible take because they still
- 8:24have not shook hands yet. And then eventually they shake
- 8:27hands. They agree.
- 8:27Hey man, I understand. You know, two different worlds.
- 8:32They everything's cool. They separate now.
- 8:35The camera follows Cowboy Dude and Raja.
- 8:39Cowboy dude is like, hey man, when you get in there, I want
- 8:42you to beat the shit. I want you to hit him.
- 8:44I want you to get your receipt buddy.
- 8:46I want you to go in there and hit him as hard as you can and
- 8:49I'll come in there and pull you off of him.
- 8:52Spoiler alert, that never happens.
- 8:54That did not happen. So this dude is telling his
- 8:58student or his training buddy at an MMA school to go in there and
- 9:02physically hit one of his brothers.
- 9:07Horrible. Yeah.
- 9:10I, I There's no condoning that whatsoever.
- 9:13Right. No, no, not at all.
- 9:16And, and now I know I, I, I guess the latest on this is AJ
- 9:19Mana has now gone on a podcast and said he has the full footage
- 9:24and he's going to counter sue people and, and.
- 9:28You can have the full footage you're on audio saying go in the
- 9:31ring and harm him right now. There was a little bit of
- 9:36translation words there where he kept saying I want to get my get
- 9:39back and he keeps saying to give him a receipt.
- 9:42Now, in those two worlds, they're two different meanings.
- 9:46Getting your receipt. And getting your get back are
- 9:49two wildly different things in the streets and pro wrestling.
- 9:54So there's a lot of terminology here that does get lost in
- 9:56translation. Now, the whole time this is
- 9:59happening, the show I guess goes on.
- 10:01They're sitting ringside and the kick chat, which is a different
- 10:06platform than YouTube where you can say and do whatever you want
- 10:10on that platform. Have fun, right?
- 10:13Freedom of speech. So this chat is trolling Raja
- 10:17and firing him up and saying he's a punk and saying he's a
- 10:21bitch and saying that he, he's a he, he, he let that man hit him
- 10:25with a can and da da da. So he's reading the chat while
- 10:28the show's going on, and he's getting fired up even more.
- 10:33Right. Yeah.
- 10:35Which doesn't help because then he starts saying to the chat,
- 10:39they've agreed that I can go in the ring and do things.
- 10:42I don't care. I'm going to hurt this man.
- 10:45I don't care what the agreement is.
- 10:47I'm going to beat him till he's till he's hurt.
- 10:51That's that's admitted homicide a minute attempted murder,
- 10:55admitted assault, whatever it may be.
- 10:57That's proof, right? Like I mean, case closed in my
- 11:00opinion right there and. Then oh, obviously and and that
- 11:03what that is not is a receipt. A receipt is OK You caught me,
- 11:06you know you did you and receipt is like just trying to get
- 11:10somebody back in line and said OK, I you, I owe you 1 and I'm
- 11:12going to get my 1, not you. Try to work an angle with me
- 11:17that you, you and and and and and the culpability for
- 11:20psychosis. But yeah, you probably shouldn't
- 11:22have done that without. Yeah, I, I think, I think there
- 11:25is a, a, a section of blame to go for Stu for doing what he
- 11:30did. Right.
- 11:31But then. Blame goes out the window when
- 11:33he apologized and both men agreed to the apology and said
- 11:37I'm sorry now St. Code says well he didn't get his
- 11:40back later. No, that's pussy code.
- 11:42I don't care what street you're from.
- 11:44If I look at you in the eyes, I accept your handshake, I say
- 11:47we're good and then I sneak attack you later.
- 11:50I'm a pussy. I'm a bitch.
- 11:51I'm a bitch for that. That's St. code for me.
- 11:55I like, you know what I mean? That's how I look at it.
- 11:57If I take you your your word, your word as a man and say
- 12:01apology accepted, and then I have an opportunity to take
- 12:04advantage of you. That's your I don't I don't
- 12:07respect that whatsoever. Yeah, absolutely.
- 12:11And then obviously he goes into the ring, he shoots a single,
- 12:15picks him up, snaps him down, doesn't do anything pro
- 12:19wrestling related because why should he?
- 12:21He's not a pro. He's not a pro wrestler at all.
- 12:23And, and and knocks him out on impact on the takedown.
- 12:27He's out cold. Yeah.
- 12:29He there's not, there's no hands up, there's no defense, there's
- 12:33no nothing. And then Raja goes in to lay 22
- 12:38unanswered punches before this other gentleman finally is the
- 12:43only one who can pull him off him 'cause like they said, this
- 12:46looks like a student show. The referee looks like he's he's
- 12:50he's not capable of pulling an. This is a big John McCarthy
- 12:53referee this. Is a nerve.
- 12:54Dean, the guy with the face paint has no option to go in.
- 12:58You know who I felt really horrible for in the camera shot?
- 13:01You notice the commentators, they literally stood up and
- 13:03they're like their hands on their head 'cause they know they
- 13:05can't do nothing. Yeah, yeah.
- 13:06What? What can you and they're just
- 13:08watching a man get beaten to death in the ring.
- 13:11I mean, there's no way around that.
- 13:13Like I don't care if you're a pro wrestling fan, an MMA fan,
- 13:16you know when a punch looks real and when it doesn't and have
- 13:19what it sounds like and what like it It's it's I feel
- 13:23horrible for the children in that arena that night.
- 13:25I feel horrible. Like there's a camera shot of a
- 13:27father filming it and his kids next to him and the kids like
- 13:30look at all the blood, dad, look at all the blood.
- 13:32Like horrible. Like you don't want that at all.
- 13:35Like that's disgusting. And he's lucky that
- 13:40unfortunately there wasn't a bunch more wrestlers like the
- 13:42guy who broke it up and separated it, because most other
- 13:45locker rooms, if you would have tried to pull that shit.
- 13:48I'm not saying much about PPW. I'm not saying we got some hard
- 13:50heads or some some psychopaths, But I guarantee if someone
- 13:54rolled into the ring and did that to somebody, there's going
- 13:57to be two ambulances needed that night because you're probably
- 14:01not leaving the same way you walked in.
- 14:04Yeah, at that point the and there have been other instances
- 14:07not as not as severe, obviously not anybody with the level of
- 14:12training that Roger Jackson has, the level of genetics being the
- 14:16son of a of an all time great fighter.
- 14:19But there have been instances where like the fans get unruly
- 14:21or somebody jumps in the ring. It's usually handled very
- 14:23quickly and very efficiently, even on an indie level.
- 14:27But yeah, obviously this one's a little bit different and
- 14:29everybody's just like standing back and going, what the hell?
- 14:32Except for, you know, the one guy and his name is a skating.
- 14:36I feel bad. Yeah, I don't remember his name,
- 14:37but he's a, he's a hero. And it the, the interview he did
- 14:39was right on the money. Like like I couldn't imagine.
- 14:43Like I, I fear every time I go to a wrestle.
- 14:46I don't, I don't mean it's not like it's a constant fear, but I
- 14:48generally get a little bit of anxiety every wrestling show.
- 14:52Like I hope everyone leaves the same way everyone showed up
- 14:55today. Like you don't want anyone to
- 14:57get hurt. And then on top, like now you
- 15:00have a situation where a fan or an outsider goes in there and
- 15:03hurts one of your brothers or one of your sisters in the ring
- 15:06and, and, and sends them to the hospital.
- 15:08They're they're they're missing teeth.
- 15:10They're choking on their own blood.
- 15:11Supposedly they had to. They had to do CPR on him to
- 15:14clear his throat. In the ring, I bet.
- 15:15Yeah, I bet. And and and the greatest part is
- 15:18good thing we got the pin cover right.
- 15:20I'm glad you covered him. Unbelievable.
- 15:23Wild like. We had a mishap and I'm not,
- 15:27again, I'm not, this isn't to pump up PPW or me or anything
- 15:30like that. We had a mishap where somebody
- 15:34took a, took a knock to, took a shot to the nose or to the cheek
- 15:39or wherever. And, and, and I'm, I'm sitting
- 15:42backstage, I'm a gorilla and I'm looking in like I see blood and
- 15:46I'm like, we got to stop this thing.
- 15:48And I, I'm literally about to get up and run out.
- 15:50And then I realize, OK, they're going right to the finish
- 15:53anyway. And, you know, the end's the end
- 15:55and everybody was OK, thankfully.
- 15:58But yeah, you're right. Like that.
- 15:59My biggest concern anytime I'm doing a wrestling show is I hope
- 16:04nobody gets hurt like that. That's it.
- 16:06And, and unfortunately it does happen, like it's happened to
- 16:10Joey Martinez just came back from a, a, a ruptured Achilles.
- 16:14We had a guy have a concussion at our last show.
- 16:16We we've had a broken jaws even in training like Adrian Soriano
- 16:20with PPW, he was our champion and tore his ACL.
- 16:23Training, training, I think, I don't know if it was training
- 16:26like wrestling training or like just weight training or
- 16:28something. But yeah, this is like the worst
- 16:31nightmare. It's like the the, the mission
- 16:35of any wrestling show should be everybody goes home in the same
- 16:40physical condition they came in at.
- 16:42If maybe they're a little sore, maybe they're a little tired,
- 16:45maybe they're a little blown up. But you, you never want anybody
- 16:50to get injured. And especially from something
- 16:52that was so preventable, that was so insane.
- 16:58Just like bad attempted murder, literal attempted murder.
- 17:02Yeah, and here's and here's. Here's where the wrestling
- 17:05world, it's it's crazy and I'm not condoning anything, but this
- 17:09is the wrestling world. There's people who think this is
- 17:12a work. There's people who think this is
- 17:13not. Real Baby Doll Baby Doll has has
- 17:16a track record of thinking of it if you're from a certain
- 17:19generation where it was a little more carny and a little the,
- 17:22the, the old guard now and, and we're at a point now in 2025
- 17:26where the old guard was really. People who were around in the in
- 17:29the 70s and the 80s, they tend to think almost everything was a
- 17:34work because back then everything was the work because
- 17:38it was so insular and it was so isolated from everything and it
- 17:41wasn't as open as it is now. Like there was nothing even
- 17:44remotely close to. Even though it wasn't a full
- 17:46expose, there was nothing even remotely close to like that WWE
- 17:49unreal show. That would have been heresy.
- 17:51Yeah, they would have sent somebody after you for a show
- 17:53like that. Like.
- 17:55But so they're like, well. I know a lot of those old
- 18:00school. People are a lot of those old
- 18:03school people are the ones tend to think everything's the work.
- 18:06Yeah, I mean, there's fans too. There's there's fans who are
- 18:09like, they're questioning it like, well, this is weird
- 18:12because just like he said, why do we watch a man go into a
- 18:17ring, shoot a double, land 22 punches, hospitalize a man and
- 18:23there's no police report, there's no arrest, there's no
- 18:25nothing. As of right now, there's an
- 18:27investigation and I would say give that time, I would say.
- 18:30Give that time if that if this is any other.
- 18:32World BP Yeah, if it's a baseball game, they're the guys
- 18:36carried out in handcuffs. Exactly that's what I'm saying
- 18:39this. Or if you want to say wrestling
- 18:40is theater, if you if you go to Swan Lake and somebody comes up
- 18:44and and Suplex is one of the dancers and starts wailing on
- 18:48them, yeah, obviously they're going to carry that person out
- 18:50in cuffs. Yeah, it's an interesting.
- 18:52It's an interesting dynamic when it comes to that.
- 18:54Now the other thing I want to pose and I said this in the live
- 18:58and people laughed at me and people said you're insane.
- 19:00This is not that would never go down like this.
- 19:03I can't even believe you suggest.
- 19:04It. And I said three days ago, BP on
- 19:08a TikTok live, I said there's a part of me that genuinely fears
- 19:13this will get buried and nothing will happen.
- 19:17It's because the wrestling business is very known for
- 19:21protecting the wrestling business.
- 19:24If this goes to court or legal system, it is not controlled in
- 19:28house and there's nothing more than pro wrestling wants to do
- 19:32is control everything in house. If there's crimes that commit,
- 19:36and we've seen it in professional wrestling, there's
- 19:39crimes that are committed. Sometimes in this business that
- 19:43gets swept under the rug. You don't go to the police, you
- 19:46don't go talk to anybody, you don't get a lawyer.
- 19:48That goes under the rug and no one talks about it.
- 19:51So you can protect the business. And then usually what happens
- 19:55there is bad People continue to thrive because people don't
- 19:59speak up. Well, in this case, I don't know
- 20:03if that's happened just because there is an active investigation
- 20:07and certain people are speaking up and yeah, and, and, and, and
- 20:12the promotion did try to circle the wagons to try to say and,
- 20:17and that that is like a that is a, that is a leftover vestigial
- 20:22thing from wrestling being such a closed society and being that
- 20:26that type of thing. But yeah, it's it's an, it's an
- 20:30interesting. Guy said in the chat.
- 20:32My dude, have you been living under a rock?
- 20:33The wrestling business gets exposed by the wrestling
- 20:35business like every day. We just said WWE Unreal is very
- 20:39Back in the day, that was tabloid.
- 20:40You couldn't do that, Yeah. But let's also not pretend that
- 20:43WWE Unreal isn't. Oh yeah, there's WWE.
- 20:46Unreal is about as real as in certain aspects as Total Divas,
- 20:50where it's still, it's controlled.
- 20:51It's. Controlled there, there was a a
- 20:53Canadian reality show called World of Hurt and the first
- 20:57season Lance Storm did and there was a bunch of his students and
- 21:00basically they did like a training camp and it was just
- 21:03telling the story of everybody. It it's probably famous now.
- 21:06Taya Valkyrie was on it to Neil Dashwood was on it if you.
- 21:09There's a good one on Hulu that was at Evolve as well.
- 21:11Yeah, but this one was this one. I remember hearing an interview
- 21:15Lance Storm did talking about how contrived it was and how
- 21:20like what was on the show, what was presented to the public was
- 21:23nothing like what really happened to the point, to the
- 21:26point where every episode there was a 10 episode series and
- 21:29every episode was focused on one of the people on the show.
- 21:32And in one of the interviews, it would end with Lance from doing
- 21:35like a sit down and like going over them, assessing them,
- 21:37telling them what their strengths are, what their
- 21:38weaknesses are. And in one of those sit downs
- 21:41with the the the people he was working with, he said, you know
- 21:44why you haven't made it in wrestling yet.
- 21:47And they took that one time he said it and they put it in every
- 21:51single one of those 10 and and Lance.
- 21:54Had the isn't that grapple might be able?
- 21:57Isn't that the one that Chasing Rance was on?
- 21:59No, no, this was I thought. I thought he showed up on a show
- 22:02and they did like, well This is why you're not a good wrestler
- 22:04and they like he he was. On like that, that's that's
- 22:06every reality show about wrestling, unless it was season
- 22:092. Season 2 I had Roddy Piper, but
- 22:11this was a Canadian tough enough.
- 22:12Tough enough days. Oh boy, this was this was a
- 22:15Canadian show and no, it was this.
- 22:17This one was the only people of note that like their main became
- 22:22like mainstream names. Tom Laruffa, who was in NXT for
- 22:26a little bit of Sylvester Lafort, Tennille Dashwood was on
- 22:29it, and Taya Valkyrie was on it. Yeah, Now what do you think?
- 22:34And you guys can answer this in the chat as well.
- 22:37What do you, what do you think? I can even pose this to you as
- 22:41someone who helps run and produce wrestling shows.
- 22:43And I'm I'm backstage in shows. Where do you think from your
- 22:47mind state seeing this and and learning from a mistake of this?
- 22:50Where do you as a promoter or as a as a Booker look to maybe
- 22:56adjust in the future going forward for your own promotion
- 22:58and what do you think comes of this after all this is all said
- 23:01and done? Well, I think it's common sense
- 23:06that if you wouldn't try to turn this into an angle like and you
- 23:12would think, well, no, but yeah, no, then that's like that is a
- 23:17that is like an old again. That's like a vestigial carny
- 23:20thing of well, oh, we can make money out of this.
- 23:22Like like even now, I'm sure their promoters are like, you
- 23:24know what, when he gets all when he gets all healed up, there's
- 23:28money in a match between these. Oh, I guarantee people are
- 23:31already talking about. No, there's dozens.
- 23:33Dozens of people are thinking about that.
- 23:35Dozens and which is? Kind of gross, but it no, no,
- 23:41no. Yeah, it's completely gross.
- 23:43Like if nothing else. First of all, Russia Jackson
- 23:45should be in jail. Second of all.
- 23:49Second of all, he should never be welcome at any wrestling show
- 23:53ever again and neither should AJ Mana in my opinion.
- 23:56No, I think AJ is just at fault of all this.
- 23:59As as as as Roger now. Do you think now Quinton,
- 24:05Rampage Jackson has done a stint in professional wrestling?
- 24:09He's not. He's he's aware of the business.
- 24:13At what point in time now, because this is hard for
- 24:16wrestling fans to wrap their head around, but there's
- 24:18wrestling fans and then there's non wrestling fans.
- 24:20And I think for the most part, I would hope that most of the
- 24:24world knows that professional wrestling is, is theater, is
- 24:28scripted, is is predetermined, is, is not real fighting.
- 24:32People are not out there trying to really hurt each other.
- 24:34Now, there's sometimes when they work a little stiff, but at the
- 24:36end of the day, they're still not trying to hurt one another.
- 24:39Do you think there's any excuse or any court of law where Roger
- 24:42could be like, well, I didn't know.
- 24:43I was told I can go in there and do this.
- 24:45So I I. That video with AJ Mana, maybe
- 24:49his escape card because like, oh, like I, I was told to go in
- 24:54and I was told by somebody who was part of the show that I
- 24:57should go in there and do this. Maybe I'm sure he can afford a
- 25:01very good lawyer that's going to help this case.
- 25:03If if it does come to that, it it's a very murky situation.
- 25:06And that's one of the that's the insane thing about wrestling.
- 25:09Like it because people try to put wrestling in a box.
- 25:12Oh, it's, it's theater. Oh, it's, it's sports, it's
- 25:14sports entertainment. It's it's like this, it's like
- 25:17that. It's it's its own thing, it's
- 25:18its own ecosystem, it's its own world.
- 25:21And that is, yeah, that that that that interaction of being
- 25:28directed. The only thing I think that can
- 25:29counter that is him saying on camera I they told me I can do
- 25:34this, but I don't care. I'm going off script.
- 25:36I'm going to hurt him for real. Like that's the only thing I can
- 25:39see that can be that can cook him in this situation.
- 25:42It, it it's. Yeah.
- 25:44Who knows? Like, none of us are legal
- 25:45experts. None of us.
- 25:46Are, but here's my other take on this.
- 25:48You're a trained fighter. I mean, at the end of the day,
- 25:51if anyone's fighting anybody, you know that one someone's
- 25:55knocked out and you punch them that many continuous times in
- 25:58the head and face. Like there's got to be a cut off
- 26:02point. Like I'm not even a fighter, but
- 26:04I know if I go out in the street and I get in a fight with
- 26:06somebody and I knock them down and I kick them in the face
- 26:10while they're down, legally I'm in trouble.
- 26:14That fight is over. He is on the ground.
- 26:17He's not defending himself. If I run over and soccer punt,
- 26:19kick him in the face, that's attempted murder.
- 26:22He's that like, you know what I mean?
- 26:24He's out of the equation. And then you went and took
- 26:26another blow. I mean, that that happened in
- 26:28our area not too long ago. Like, I just, I don't see a
- 26:31world where someone looks at this and goes, yeah, he got hit
- 26:35with a beer can and I think the 22 punches were justified.
- 26:38That's wild to me. Right there.
- 26:41And that's like, that's because you can't argue self-defense.
- 26:44Obviously there's a line between self-defense and vengeance where
- 26:48you're not defending yourself at that point.
- 26:50Now you're clearly not. And it's it's one of those
- 26:55tricky situations where there are a lot of variables and there
- 26:59are there are so many different parts that that get into it.
- 27:02But I mean it, it's unfortunately, and I'm not
- 27:06trying to, you know, make a blanket statement about people
- 27:09who are in combat sports by any means.
- 27:10But like there's this isn't the first incident.
- 27:13Like McGregor has had a lot of not nothing to this level, but
- 27:16the closest thing I can think of this was War machine, Jon
- 27:20Kuppenhaver and, and who almost killed his girlfriend, like
- 27:25legitimately almost killed his girlfriend.
- 27:27And you know, a lot of and, and not, I'm not going to say a lot
- 27:30again, I don't want to, you know, unfairly throw, throw
- 27:37negative light on people who are into MMA or boxing or anything
- 27:40like that. But some of them have short
- 27:42fuses and it's I, I would be very leery.
- 27:47You were asking like, how would this inform, like what you do is
- 27:50like running a, like a thing. And again, I, I would be very
- 27:53leery to do an angle unless it was somebody who was very with
- 27:56it and very, you know, very into like understanding what
- 28:00professional wrestling is. I think it's always tough when
- 28:03you do like the, the MMA fighter angle or the boxer angle or
- 28:07things like that. You have to know if this person
- 28:10is able to do business. And, and, and my understanding
- 28:13is Russia Jackson wasn't there to do business.
- 28:15It's a it's a thing where he was just coming as somebody's guest.
- 28:20Somebody's like, oh, working angle.
- 28:21That guy looks like a worker. Let's work an angle and then he
- 28:24gets blown grossly out of proportion.
- 28:26But at some point, you know, at some point somebody somewhere
- 28:32needs to step in. And unfortunately one person
- 28:33that stepped in seems like they threw gas on the fire, which is
- 28:37not a a great look. Yeah, and, and, and honestly,
- 28:41like you talk about the MMA world.
- 28:43I'm an MMA fan. You're an MMA fan.
- 28:45For the longest time I was a Connor dude, man.
- 28:47I was like, man, this guy's super entertaining.
- 28:48This is fun. This is until, honestly, for me,
- 28:52the the, the, the, the, the, the, the Dolly through the
- 28:55window and then the brawl in the stadium after the paper.
- 28:59Like I remember watching that as an MMA fan.
- 29:01And I was like, I'm done, I'm out.
- 29:04I'll go to pro wrestling and and then it was like, why?
- 29:07Like that's like I'm like because like I like mixed
- 29:10martial arts because it it wasn't the dude Bros who were
- 29:13out there beating each other's heads in who look like had no
- 29:16self-control or self-discipline. The the best part about Emma
- 29:19Mantha for for a while was like they've had self-discipline.
- 29:24Mixed martial arts was not about just being a combat sport.
- 29:26It was also about self-control and saying this is done in a
- 29:29cage in a conducted way and like the what MMA did to go through
- 29:34hoops to get legalized in certain States and then to prove
- 29:36that they're not just Neanderthals out there killing
- 29:40each other that. They're human cock fighting, as
- 29:42John McCain called a human. Yeah, and it's and it like it
- 29:45took a huge step back and like for how good Connor was for MMA,
- 29:49he was also a downfall because then it became like, well, now
- 29:52I'm going to bring the streets into MMA and it just it, it made
- 29:55it gross for me. And then it just continued on to
- 29:58stuff like this where like a guy just enters a a world and he's
- 30:01like, well, I'm an MMA fighter, so I'm just going to use that on
- 30:04the streets and use it in a pro wrestling ring.
- 30:06It's like, no, go away. Like you shouldn't even be in
- 30:10your own industry, let alone ours.
- 30:12That's. Crazy, right?
- 30:14Well, I think, I think he's probably done a lot of damage
- 30:17too. But then again, all it takes is
- 30:181 promoter, not so much anymore, because a lot of Times Now more
- 30:24so than before and it's not perfect.
- 30:26Now, but I've seen worse get accepted back in the wrestling.
- 30:29But like Joey Ryan's tried a few times and it hasn't happened.
- 30:33The one I'm really thinking of is there was a convention in
- 30:35Jersey, and this was probably 15 years ago, maybe more, but there
- 30:39was a convention in Jersey and they said they were bringing in
- 30:42Invader 1. They, they said they're bringing
- 30:45in the guy that killed Brody. And there was such a backlash
- 30:49that they, they finally, like, backed out of it and said, no,
- 30:54we're not going to do that. Yeah, yeah.
- 30:56Like pro wrestling has a body under its belt in a locker room
- 30:59that no one got in trouble for. Like.
- 31:01Right. And, and a lot of that was a lot
- 31:03of what they're trying to do here is like that Kay Fabe
- 31:05circle the wagons and yeah. I'm, I'm going to be honest, I
- 31:11I've been so burnt out on everyone's statements.
- 31:13I don't know who made them or not.
- 31:14I just know that when the people make really bad ones, I
- 31:17honestly, I, I think Quinton's statement was pretty decent.
- 31:21Like hey listen man, I hope this team really pulls through like
- 31:23my son is in the wrong for this like.
- 31:27He he obviously, he's not going to go as scorched earth as
- 31:32somebody who has no relation to Roger Jacksonville.
- 31:34It's his son. Even if you're and it's, you
- 31:37know, so he's going to try to try to find not an excuse, but a
- 31:44a kind of explanation for his actions, but.
- 31:49We're trying, man. We're we're trying Rod Pham.
- 31:51We'll we'll get there eventually.
- 31:52Thanks for tuning in. Thanks for the view.
- 31:56But yeah. We're talking about a news
- 31:58story, Sir. This is big news.
- 31:59This is breaking big news. It's not breaking.
- 32:02It happened over the weekend. It's.
- 32:04A lot broke people's faces, teeth.
- 32:06It's a horrible, horrible thing. All right, well, let's get into
- 32:08more controversy and professional wrestling.
- 32:12I don't know much about this. I know, I know you guys.
- 32:14You guys are talking about in the chat what's going on with
- 32:16the union and AW, people are mad.
- 32:20It's more of a publicity stunt than anything it seems.
- 32:23Philly. People.
- 32:24Philly's the union town. Philly's Philly's the union
- 32:27town. So that it, it, it tends to
- 32:30happen in things like this where I guess the stage hands union,
- 32:35it's called Local 8. They, they do like stage crew
- 32:38stuff in, in Philadelphia. They had a picket line out in
- 32:41front of Dynamite on last night. Because I guess they're alleging
- 32:46that the stage crew at the 2300 arena, they're concerned that
- 32:50they're not making now. The 2300 arena is a non union
- 32:54shop. Obviously every wrestling
- 32:56organization in the world is a non union shop.
- 33:00Because of that, no good Hulk Hogan.
- 33:02Yeah. I tried to unionize and sold me
- 33:05out. So I guess.
- 33:10Punched me out. Yes, there you go.
- 33:12You got to use the lingo. So I guess they're they're
- 33:16pointing out that they're they're concerned that the
- 33:19people who are part of the stage crew for this residency, because
- 33:22it's not just a one, one time show here in at the I'm I'm
- 33:27still going to call it these W arena.
- 33:28I apologize. The 2300 arena or just the
- 33:31arena? The arena, the.
- 33:32Arena. Well, it was literally no Viking
- 33:35Hall. Well.
- 33:37And the arena, Viking Hall, I'm not going to call it New
- 33:41Alhambra, I think it was literally just called the arena
- 33:43for a minute. The the building where ECW used
- 33:47to run their shows in Philadelphia, they they're doing
- 33:52AA, WS doing a residency there. They're doing I believe, three
- 33:56weeks worth of TV. They're doing I think 3
- 33:58dynamites, 3 collisions. I love that they're going to
- 34:01smaller places. I think it's sick.
- 34:03Yeah, and, and, and even though it's way nicer now than it ever
- 34:08was, that place just really does especially for me, like
- 34:11especially like being in a situation where I was literally
- 34:14like that was my local wrestling company, ECW Ranch shows
- 34:19directly, like directly across the football field for my
- 34:23middle, my middle school. So that that's my connection to
- 34:27ECW and they they're running there.
- 34:32But it's it's this long term thing and it's very cool.
- 34:35And and it's special because that building just has a special
- 34:37energy to it. It's one of those places.
- 34:39Now when? When they do shows there, I
- 34:43mean, I'm gonna be honest, I don't.
- 34:45I never really watched with MLW or any other promotions run
- 34:48there. They don't use the bleachers for
- 34:49those shows. Was that something they just
- 34:50brought back? I believe so.
- 34:52I knowing knowing how Tony Khan's sensibilities are, I
- 34:56think they did the bleachers because that's what ECW looked
- 34:59like. It looked awesome.
- 35:00Yeah, that that's what ECW looked like.
- 35:02The hard Cam was opposite bleachers and and it like I
- 35:06didn't I I'm I'm unfortunately get a chance to watch all of
- 35:08dynamite last night. But it did have and obviously
- 35:12enhanced by infinite percentages presentation.
- 35:18But the, the bleachers, like the, the, the hard Cam just
- 35:22being a sea of people. If you watch old ECW shows from
- 35:26the arena, that's what it looked like.
- 35:28That's what it looked like. It it was not not as nice.
- 35:33It was like you. You didn't see that place
- 35:35before. They they they cleaned it up a
- 35:37little bit. No, I've only been there when
- 35:39it's been. Cleaned up.
- 35:40So it it it's a much like my mind was blown with how much
- 35:44nicer it is now, but it's, it's it it's still kind of has that
- 35:47same feeling to it. And, and, and, and I think that
- 35:51the bleachers was a if I had to guess, it's a stylistic choice
- 35:54by Tony Khan to to give the, the whole thing a feeling more like
- 36:00the old ECW shows that he grew up on like the he was like, I
- 36:05think for his senior trip, his obviously Tony Khan comes from a
- 36:09wealthy family. That's no, that's no secret.
- 36:12I think instead of going to like Cabo San Lucas or Daytona beer,
- 36:16wherever, like you would go for for spring break, I think he
- 36:21went to ECWS Cyber Slam. And so, yeah, it's a big deal
- 36:26for him. But yeah.
- 36:26So anyway, back to the the reason we're talking about this,
- 36:29the the union I think is just protesting that they're saying
- 36:33there is a standard for wages for stage hands in Philadelphia.
- 36:37And I think they said something like $40.00 an hour plus
- 36:40benefits. Like I want to be a stage hand
- 36:42in Philadelphia. That sounds great.
- 36:43Could. You imagine if that was
- 36:46everybody would do a ring crew. Yeah.
- 36:49Yeah, you wouldn't have a problem getting anyone in the
- 36:53ring, bro. Yeah, we wouldn't have two
- 36:54people having to set up and tear down the ring by themselves
- 36:56anymore. Yeah, it's good stuff.
- 37:02No horrible stuff, but but. Yeah, harder.
- 37:06You get up on the card, brother. You don't have to set up rings
- 37:09anymore. People who are doing they're
- 37:12they're pretty well off on the card.
- 37:14Like literally one of the people helping toward the end was our
- 37:16champion. Yes, yeah, better be.
- 37:21Any other AW stuff? Taz will be inducted in the Hall
- 37:24of Fame next week, Not the AW Hall of Fame.
- 37:26He'll be inducted in the 2300 Hall of Fame.
- 37:28They have their own banners on the wall that they inducted a
- 37:31bunch of people. I believe in the 11 time I was
- 37:33there for a con they inducted like the class of ECW and and
- 37:38did like a group. Thing for everybody, I believe
- 37:40it started started with Rocco Rock.
- 37:42After Rocco Rock passed, I believe that was the first time
- 37:45they put a banner up and they think they've done Todd Gordon
- 37:48and I want to say Justice Payne usually like they've used it a
- 37:52lot to honor people who have passed.
- 37:54I I believe Justice Payne they did, and there may have been a
- 37:57few others. Yeah, Dynamite.
- 38:01I mean, I I didn't watch Raw this week, unfortunately.
- 38:03I apologize everybody. I don't think BP did either, He
- 38:06said he didn't watch a lot of wrestling.
- 38:07I forgot, I forgot. Raw was in the afternoon and I I
- 38:10hate watching things off the tape delay I I forgot raw was on
- 38:14the middle of the afternoon and I have a job so I was working
- 38:17when raw was on For the most part we.
- 38:20Were too busy getting vagina. I was too busy getting paid.
- 38:23I was getting my $4.00 an hour for doing stagehand work.
- 38:26Yeah, yeah. I wish.
- 38:29Oh, I. Would've loved it.
- 38:29I thought Dynamite was fun. There was some aspects to it
- 38:32that I'll just kind of go over that I, I just for me on AW,
- 38:35just not, I'm not everything's negative, right?
- 38:37I think for the most part, positive wise, we're we're into
- 38:40professional wrestling. We love professional wrestling.
- 38:43The, the, the, the Don callous thing too much.
- 38:46Like if you're a manager and you have 400 people in the stable,
- 38:48and this goes for any promotion, any level of wrestling, you
- 38:51shouldn't be out there more than twice a show and then be on
- 38:54commentary. Three of them.
- 38:55And, and it just, I don't know, as someone who like really works
- 38:58hard to get a spot on a show, whether it's commentary or
- 39:01whatever it may be, to keep losing your seat 'cause you have
- 39:04to keep coming out three times a show to take it like that sucks.
- 39:07Like fucking fuck off, you know what I mean?
- 39:09Like be manager and sit ringside with your team or fucking sit in
- 39:12commentary one match or pick and choose which guy you come out
- 39:15with. You know what I mean?
- 39:16Like, it's just too much too. And I I like Don Callas.
- 39:18I think he's very entertaining. He is.
- 39:21Too much Don. Callas yeah, and and it's a
- 39:24larger with AW where like you need you.
- 39:27I I think what I said was you need an Excel spreadsheet to
- 39:29keep track of who is. How is how does his stable not
- 39:32have every title? How the Death Riders took over
- 39:34the company with four people, he has nine.
- 39:37How? How is Don Kow's family just not
- 39:40running through the whole company?
- 39:42They need a logistics person. I wonder who the logistics
- 39:44person was in the death. It had to be like Marina Shafir
- 39:47or somebody. She's like the.
- 39:48She's like the new Alexandra York.
- 39:49She's like, probably. Here's how we're going to take
- 39:51over this. Here's how we're going to take
- 39:52over this. Yeah.
- 39:52It's crazy. Yeah, it's tough, especially
- 39:56when you have so many factions and so many groups that it's
- 40:00like, OK, well, this guy's in the OPS and this guy's in the
- 40:02conglomeration and this guy's in the Don Kalis side was like, OK,
- 40:06well, what, what makes them any different from this group is,
- 40:08oh, well, they're, they're mean and they, they like I, I get it.
- 40:14But you, it's, it's one of those things where it's less is more.
- 40:17The one thing that pro wrestling should never be, in my opinion,
- 40:20is subtle. Pro wrestling is not really a
- 40:24good place for nuance. It is a very, very, very beat
- 40:28them over the head with a sledgehammer type thing.
- 40:30Now you can go too far with that like WWE does.
- 40:35And I get what WWE is trying to do.
- 40:37I get what WWE is trying to do. Where it is you can.
- 40:42You can not watch for six weeks and come in and feel like you
- 40:44didn't really miss a lot because you didn't because that's how
- 40:47slow their booking is, where if you miss one episode of
- 40:51Dynamite, you're like, who is this person?
- 40:52Where did he come from? When did Ace Austin get here?
- 40:55Like there's just in WWE, it's like there's no.
- 40:58Happening, I also said, I also said during the pay-per-view
- 41:01too, and we'll cover this later is like WW ES booking is like me
- 41:05versus you. I win, you lose, we move on, we
- 41:08get to the next person and a new fight happens.
- 41:10AW can literally be like me versus you, but the actual
- 41:14storyline is a character change in me and that and that's what
- 41:18they're going to go for for the next storyline.
- 41:21Like oh, used to be a bad guy and do horrible things.
- 41:24Now this character is going to pull a different layer of your
- 41:26character out and you almost get like a reboot of who you are as
- 41:29a person going forward. I don't mind that.
- 41:32It's like very it's like very comic book story.
- 41:34Ridge driven like Superman finds new weakness but learns how to
- 41:38overcome a mental block he had in himself later on.
- 41:41Or like Peter Parker struggled with this, but his this villain
- 41:44taught Peter Parker to overcome his adverse that that wasn't
- 41:48even the fight itself. It was learning something about
- 41:50himself. And I think I think AEW leans
- 41:53into a lot, a lot more than they do the normal wrestling nuance
- 41:57storytelling. And I don't mind that I I kind
- 41:59of like. And that, and that's fine that
- 42:01everybody could like what they like, but that is why AW has
- 42:04trouble gaining fans. That is why a WS highest rated
- 42:10show ever and I don't think anything is going to change
- 42:13anytime soon, was their first dynamite.
- 42:17Because that stuff is all nice and well and good, but if it's
- 42:21too hard to follow, people will stop trying to follow it.
- 42:25And I. I feel like they don't insult my
- 42:27intelligence too bad. We're down to be like I'm
- 42:29watching Sesame Street wrestling.
- 42:31Right. And you are.
- 42:32No, you are. So they WW is the McDonald's of
- 42:35wrestling and to the point where one of the things that
- 42:38McDonald's has prided themselves on is a a standard of quality.
- 42:42So if you go to a McDonald's in Pennsylvania or you go to
- 42:45McDonald's in California or Texas or New Mexico or
- 42:49Wisconsin, you're going to get the same level of service.
- 42:52Is it going to be the best burger you've ever had?
- 42:53Absolutely not. But it's going to be consistent
- 42:57and you know what to expect from it.
- 42:58And that is what WWE has gotten really good at.
- 43:01They have they have, they have, they have standardized their
- 43:05their product and that that's good because there, there's
- 43:08going to be that level of consistency, but it's bad
- 43:11because they've standardized their product and it's not
- 43:16special. Yeah, and I'm.
- 43:18I'm sick of eating the same burgers.
- 43:19I need a different burger. Where?
- 43:22Where AW is like. I'll give a perfect example.
- 43:26What AW is. AW was like.
- 43:27There's a place here in the town where I live and when their
- 43:32wings are good, like when you order like Buffalo wings from
- 43:35them and they're good, they're the best wings in town by far.
- 43:39And then sometimes you order their wings and you order like
- 43:41double sauce and there's like they may have splashed a little
- 43:43bit of Buffalo wings sauce on them.
- 43:45That's AW, there's very little quality control.
- 43:48They're trying to do too much there.
- 43:51I wish there was a middle ground.
- 43:52I wish there was a middle ground between WWE, which is just so
- 43:56repetitive and so just. But but at least not having the
- 44:01middle ground, like I'm aware of that.
- 44:03Like I know what you're what you're saying, but AW is
- 44:05completely correct. Like where there sometimes it's
- 44:07high, sometimes it's low, but I feel like they're they're
- 44:10starting to level it out a little better now.
- 44:13But at least to me, the idea of maybe this shows a stinker and
- 44:17this one's good. At least I don't know what's
- 44:20happening. Like I see a show, a match
- 44:22happen. I'm like, OK, let's see how it
- 44:24plays out. We're WB.
- 44:25I'm like, we're going to get this major marquee match.
- 44:27I'm like, I already know how that's going to end.
- 44:29Like I've, I've eaten that burger before, you know what I
- 44:31mean? Like it's, it's like I got to
- 44:33look at the WWB doesn't even put a card out anymore.
- 44:35They're just like TuneIn. And I'm like OK And then I
- 44:38TuneIn I'm like I wasted 3 hours of my day like.
- 44:41Although I watch clips talking about time shifting.
- 44:45I, I, I just read not that long ago that they are going to have
- 44:51a few episodes like late September in the early October
- 44:54where they're going to start at 7:00.
- 44:56We're all going to be on at 7:00.
- 44:58They're, they're just trying to, they're trying to find a sweet
- 45:01spot. Now, if they're on Netflix and
- 45:02they're not locked into a time slot, they're trying to find a
- 45:04sweet spot where Monday Night Football maybe isn't as big of
- 45:08an effect on them. Yeah, no.
- 45:10And I, I think that's a smart move.
- 45:12All right, WB East side, we'll kind of blow through some of
- 45:13these because we are running a little long.
- 45:15We went we went a little longer on the wall, which we expected.
- 45:18KO surgery went well. Neck surgery went great.
- 45:21He got fusion. He's got to pretty much wait to
- 45:23find out what's going on. Still no indication if he's ever
- 45:26going to come back to wrestling or not.
- 45:27I think he will. I think there's been enough
- 45:29successful neck surgeries in wrestling in the past three
- 45:31years and miracle stories that we will probably see Kevin Owens
- 45:34again. But he lost a ton of weight.
- 45:36Looks great. Yeah, no, he, he looks great.
- 45:39If he, my hope that if he wants to come back, I hope he's able
- 45:41to. And the, the great thing would
- 45:45be if it wasn't success just because, you know, quality of
- 45:48life, because some of I, I, I like Drew Brees.
- 45:51Now they say the, the quarterback from the New Orleans
- 45:54Saints, when he throws the football with his kids, he has
- 45:57to throw left-handed because that's how much stress he put on
- 46:01his arm, his right arm. So I, I, I, hopefully the guy's
- 46:07quality of life is going to be better from this.
- 46:08And if he chooses to come back, that would be amazing.
- 46:10Kevin, Kevin. Kevin Owens, Kevin, Steve.
- 46:12If I lose Kevin and Adam Cole in 2025, this will go down as a
- 46:15work here for wrestling for me. You know what I mean?
- 46:17I will say that right now, Becky, I will also in the chat
- 46:21serve swerve had successful knee surgery so that's good.
- 46:25I do. There's another thing about AW
- 46:26that I like how they can take out four top guys and replace
- 46:30them with another because their roster's so deep and it gives
- 46:33time to guys to go home, rest, be with their families, and they
- 46:36can rotate stories and top talent because they have so many
- 46:38to. Do so that is true but they
- 46:40don't have a guy and I think that hurts them.
- 46:43They don't have as Cody Rose's now taking the calling himself a
- 46:46QB one like and and it's one of those things where I would say.
- 46:50MJF is a he's a top guy there. He's can he?
- 46:55It seems like NGF was getting there and then they did that
- 46:58babyface turn, that devil angle and I think he's.
- 47:00Been he's going to be championing again.
- 47:02Probably he will. Oh, I'm sure he will be, But I
- 47:04think he has been struggling to get back to where he was because
- 47:08the babyface turn kind of took a lot of wind out of a sail and
- 47:12that devil angle was horrible and then he was had to take time
- 47:14off for injury. But no, he's a, he's a hell of a
- 47:17talent. He has he has all the talent to
- 47:20be like that centerpiece guy. But they don't have what Cody
- 47:24Rhodes is now, or what Roman Reigns was before that, or what
- 47:27John Cena was before that, or what, you know, Steve Austin was
- 47:30for a while, or what Hulk Hogan was what Bruno Sammartino.
- 47:32Was but it's like a Cody. If a Cody and a CM Punk go down,
- 47:36will the W fans accept a mid Carter guy to fill in and and
- 47:40take over a main spot and, and be okay with it?
- 47:43Like I don't think they will. I think they'll be like I, I
- 47:45don't know, I like, I feel like if right now a mid card guy,
- 47:48Takashita Takashita, however you say his name Takeshita.
- 47:52If, if, if tomorrow they make him a world champion.
- 47:55I don't think anyone's upset about it.
- 47:57You know what I mean? Like like, but it's the same
- 48:00thing. Some of their mid card guys are
- 48:01like could be world champions, right?
- 48:05But. They can't be a they they could
- 48:08be a world. You can make anybody a world
- 48:10champion. They they could literally have
- 48:12they could have Sir Pedicabo world champion, right?
- 48:14No, I I understand what you're saying.
- 48:15No, no one depends against Sir Pedico.
- 48:17Sir Pedico is great. But but.
- 48:21But until they put some gas behind them and then we'll talk
- 48:24again that John Creuzzo never never.
- 48:29But no, like, I I think having a guy who is the face of the
- 48:34franchise is important because it is a I'm.
- 48:40Not sorry then Ashley has to be dying about that.
- 48:44Jeff, listen, I I I can barely speak English.
- 48:47You want me to say something in Spanish or Japanese?
- 48:50I'm fucked. You know what's the problem is
- 48:56is the the take Takashita like where he said take a shita like
- 49:00when he and that stuck in my ADHD dyslexia brain and now I
- 49:05can't shake it. But I, I think about that
- 49:08centerpiece of the company thing as as almost like the the
- 49:13closest thing. I think it was like a starting
- 49:14quarterback in football or a, or a goalie in hockey.
- 49:19They're they're probably the two most important positions in
- 49:21sports because like baseball pitcher's important, but you
- 49:24need like 12 of them. You need 5 starters a closer,
- 49:27but I think it's quarterback goalie if you have two starting
- 49:31quarterbacks. You don't have a quarterback If
- 49:33you have two set of pieces of your.
- 49:35Company, we've had a lot of two starting quarterbacks in my day
- 49:38well. You finally got 1, so
- 49:39congratulations. Now there's one less defensive
- 49:44end in the in the in the division too.
- 49:46So that's fun. So I think it's the same thing.
- 49:51Like it it you, if you have like, yeah, you run the risk of,
- 49:55of, of yeah. What happens if something
- 49:58happens to that guy? But OK, like, so would you not
- 50:02take a Jaden Daniels or Patrick Mahomes Because what if they get
- 50:04hurt? Then we're really screwed.
- 50:06No, you're you're going to invest in a backup.
- 50:08You're going to try to make sure the rest of your team is strong.
- 50:12But having that guy that's can really take your ball and run
- 50:17with it and become the face of your company and elevate you
- 50:20like that is is a cheat code. It's like having Patrick
- 50:24Mahomes. It's it's.
- 50:26And don't get me wrong, WWE has some of those guys too.
- 50:28Like at any point in time they could easily put the rocket on
- 50:31Drew McIntyre, Damien produced. There's like guys in their mid
- 50:33car they can easily. Do that well, no, they're also
- 50:35drowning in Star power right now.
- 50:36Like they a lot of their old companions in their WWE,
- 50:40especially AW was drowning in talent.
- 50:44They have a lot of talent, but I don't know how many of them are
- 50:46stars like Tequesta is. Tequesta is incredibly talented.
- 50:51Hangman. Hangman is incredibly talented.
- 50:54If you showed 100 people a picture of Cody Rhodes and said
- 50:57who is this? And a picture of Hangman page
- 50:59and said who is this? How many more people are going
- 51:01to know who Cody Rhodes is? 100% TKO is the biggest media
- 51:05company in the world and now they are behind TK.
- 51:08You're pro wrestling, you know what I mean?
- 51:09Like AW will never compete with that media.
- 51:13Like if the media is on your side, you're you're a winning.
- 51:15And that's the WBS going to have that for now for forever.
- 51:17Like even if the WWE has the craziest controversies, they'll
- 51:22still find a way to get out of it because they they control the
- 51:25narrative. And they, and they're also,
- 51:27they're also the brand name. They're also the brand name
- 51:29they're. The Coca-Cola wrestling.
- 51:31Yeah. All right.
- 51:33So Becky went to Brisbane and said some stuff about Ozzy.
- 51:37Now I don't think she said anything.
- 51:39Brisbane. They were in I.
- 51:41Thought it was in England. Was it in I forget where?
- 51:43Yeah. But he Ozzy's from Brisbane and
- 51:46that's the city they were in. That's why they said she goes.
- 51:49I would never be in Brisbane. And the best thing that ever
- 51:51came from the city died last month.
- 51:53And I would have, if I, if I didn't go to Lai, would have
- 51:55died. Here, I think you have that town
- 51:56right. Brisbane Am I saying it wrong?
- 51:59I I it's, it's, it's the same word.
- 52:05I've been listening to this book.
- 52:06I. Hope I like Brisbane Australia,
- 52:07I know. Birmingham.
- 52:09Sorry, I knew it was AB Birmingham.
- 52:12That's where they are at WS in Birmingham.
- 52:14They were in Aussie's hometown. Whatever.
- 52:16OK, that it's fine. Not Brisbane, Birmingham, yes,
- 52:19they were in Birmingham and that's what she said that I
- 52:21don't think what she said was at.
- 52:22All OK, All right. There we go.
- 52:23Yeah. Yeah, I don't think what was she
- 52:25said was at a line. I think that's pretty on the par
- 52:26for a pro wrestling heel. Like your town sucks and that's
- 52:30why your celebrity left here and didn't live and never lived here
- 52:33again because it's a big. Like I don't think she was
- 52:35disrespectful. To Ozzy very boilerplate it's
- 52:38very boilerplate pro wrestling heel like we were just talking
- 52:42about MJF. Imagine the things MJF would
- 52:44have said but I that's. An old animal killing, he would
- 52:48have went hard on the old on the Aussie.
- 52:50Stuff, right. Yeah, but I mean, yeah, I I
- 52:56don't have a problem with it. It's it's a pro wrestling heel
- 52:58thing. But Ozzy, Ozzy was so beloved,
- 53:01he just died and and then which is.
- 53:04Pro wrestling is the best time to do it.
- 53:07Right. But again, like the rest of the
- 53:09what we've established today, the one thing we've learned is
- 53:11pro wrestling is a little bit different than the rest of the
- 53:14world. It is.
- 53:17And now, but now WW is in this, WW is in this corporate mindset.
- 53:20This is part, this is one of the downsides of being the
- 53:22McDonald's of professional wrestling is if MJF does ever
- 53:25come over to WWE, he probably will at some point.
- 53:28You would think maybe he won't, but he would have to tone his
- 53:30act down a lot because what WWE is doing is they are just going
- 53:35to do whatever they can to not rock the boat and not make
- 53:40things. You know, that's why for the
- 53:42longest time and, and then they and they finally did it when
- 53:45with this whole physical fitness thing, because they're trying to
- 53:47grease the wheels of Congress to get this boxing act overturned.
- 53:50And that's the only, that's the only reason they were having
- 53:52the, they're putting Triple H and Trump all over their TV as
- 53:55they were trying to kiss the ring so they can have stuff
- 53:58happen. It's the same reason Skydance
- 54:01fired Stephen Colbert. It's the same reason, you know,
- 54:04you, you do a little song and dance for this administration
- 54:06and you get what you want. So, But other than that, they
- 54:10are notoriously trying to avoid any sort of public backlash.
- 54:15They're trying to avoid ever alienating anybody.
- 54:18They're trying to be safe to the NTH degree.
- 54:20So I think. That's kind of female talent.
- 54:22And then they bring back Brock Lesnar.
- 54:24But. Yeah, but that that's they
- 54:27they've never cared about exploiting their workers again.
- 54:31Again I tried to start a union. But it didn't work out.
- 54:37They, they never care about exploiting their workers.
- 54:39Their workers are not important to them.
- 54:41They're the, the thing that's important to them is money and
- 54:43publicity and, and public relations.
- 54:46So they don't want to be like, oh, look at them.
- 54:48They're, they're mocking Ozzy Osbourne, like like less than
- 54:52two months after he passed away and in his hometown.
- 54:56And look how upset they made his daughter.
- 54:58Whereas it it's similar to like the Cracker Barrel thing, like
- 55:03Cracker Barrel is going to cave because they're afraid of
- 55:06alienating their customers. It's that's, that's the downside
- 55:11of being a corporate entity is you kind of, you do have to
- 55:16answer to Joe Public at some point.
- 55:19Yeah, we'll kind of go through these.
- 55:21The next one's really quick and then we'll get to the card
- 55:23because we already got 55 minutes here today.
- 55:25DDP hospitalized. I think the most part, first
- 55:28thing, yeah, he's going to be OK.
- 55:30He's got to have a heart operation.
- 55:31He he was working out. He said he didn't have his Apple
- 55:35Watch on, he wasn't checking his heart rate.
- 55:37It started to go a little wonky, so he had a atrial fibrillation
- 55:41or an irregular heartbeat. Vince McMahon celebrated a
- 55:45birthday party and whole bunch of people went if, if that, if
- 55:49that's something that interests you or it probably doesn't.
- 55:52If you're, if you're a pro, if you're AWBE fan, you don't care
- 55:54that John Cena, Undertaker, JBL, Bruce, Pritchard, Jerry the
- 55:57King, Lawler, Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Titus, O'Neil, Demiz
- 55:59and Maurice. I can't believe.
- 56:04All still under investigation for essay trafficking and who
- 56:08God knows what else. I can't believe Bruce.
- 56:10You will get pardoned on and know of course, talk about it
- 56:12ever again. Yeah.
- 56:13I can't believe Bruce Prichard was there.
- 56:15I'm shocked. I'm shocked.
- 56:17You know, you know. He probably won't hide in half
- 56:21the tapes. All right.
- 56:22Clash in Paris is going to be this weekend BP.
- 56:25Here's some matches that we can that were gonna happen.
- 56:28John Cena versus Logan Paul. Seth Rollins versus CM Punk
- 56:31versus Jay USA versus LA Knight, which means tells me that Jay
- 56:35USA was inserted in that match to take the fall.
- 56:38Sheamus versus Rusev Paul Roman Reigns versus Bronson Reed.
- 56:42Paul. Roma, yeah, and Becky Lynch
- 56:44versus Nikki Bella. And they said they may be adding
- 56:49a Randy Orton, Drew McIntyre match to that card, so we will
- 56:52cover that next. Week.
- 56:53That's way too many matches. That's way too many matches.
- 56:56It's six matches on a paper. Are you out of control?
- 56:59Yeah, that's too much. Meanwhile, and that's a WS pre
- 57:01show. Yeah.
- 57:02Yeah. Well, we'll get into that.
- 57:04And then NXT heat Wave, we had Oba Femi versus Javon Evans.
- 57:09I actually enjoyed the match. I did not think it was going to
- 57:11go over as well it did. I didn't realize that Javon
- 57:13Evans is as tall as he was, so it didn't make sense.
- 57:16And Oba picked him up And Spike Dudley, Tim, like Batman,
- 57:19Bigelow threw out of the ring through a commentary table,
- 57:23which I thought was a sick spot. I thought that was Oba.
- 57:25Fenni is a star. Yeah.
- 57:28He is a star. He's got so much charisma, he's
- 57:32got such a presence. He is a star.
- 57:34Yeah, who do you got for Nikki versus Becky?
- 57:38I think Becky retains Becky and Lester.
- 57:41They press a like 2% chance they press a panic button over this
- 57:44Kelly Osbourne thing but I doubt it.
- 57:46Yeah, Chelsea Green and Ethan Page took on Tyra May Steele and
- 57:51Tavon Heights. This this Tyra May Steele has
- 57:56like the craziest lower body I've ever seen on a human being.
- 57:59Her legs are wildly huge like she is a monster.
- 58:05Legit Olympic gold medalist. Yeah, first female, first female
- 58:09Olympic gold medalist on on there.
- 58:11Jada Parker versus Kellen Joyner versus Lola Vice.
- 58:13I thought that match was really good.
- 58:14I would definitely recommend that one.
- 58:16JC Jane versus Moshe versus Ash was a pretty decent match.
- 58:20Ash did walk away as your new TNA Knockouts champion, which
- 58:23makes me think. Go ahead.
- 58:26Go ahead. No, go ahead.
- 58:27I think, which makes me think that probably Masha didn't get
- 58:30the title because if she's not getting the title back she's
- 58:33probably going to move or jump ship to WB.
- 58:37Maybe, possibly that's my that's my theory.
- 58:40One of the cool things, one of the cool things with that is.
- 58:44People were. I'm not reading it, but that's
- 58:48funny. Go ahead.
- 58:50One of the cool things is people were sharing after Ash won that
- 58:53title. People were sharing stuff from
- 58:55her previous life in NXT where there's pictures like her and
- 59:00Becky and Alexa Bliss and Charlotte and all the people
- 59:06that were in NXT's women's division back then because they
- 59:10all, like, they all won championships up on the main
- 59:12roster. I think she may have had a
- 59:14women's tag title at one point, but I'm not sure of that.
- 59:17I know, sure. When they were doing the whole
- 59:18angle with her in Charlotte where Charlotte was like the
- 59:20mean girl to her, I thought they were going to do a whole angle
- 59:22where she was going to take on Charlotte and it never happened.
- 59:25She just mean girled her, threw her away and then they just
- 59:27forgot about the whole angle. Yeah, well, I mean, the only
- 59:30real angle she had on the main roster was the love thing, the
- 59:33love romance thing with Reggie in the 24/7 title.
- 59:36And I mean, there that was. That she did that she was with
- 59:41where she looked like a Brazzers thing, where it was her one in a
- 59:44secondary suit. Yeah.
- 59:46And then the Charlotte thing. But then she was on dark
- 59:48matches. I remember we talked about this
- 59:49on the podcast a long time ago. They said she was killing it in
- 59:51house shows and dark matches and people were really getting
- 59:54behind her. And then she got her head busted
- 59:56open really bad by Viking Warrior wife.
- 1:00:01Lady Oh. Sarah Logan, Yeah.
- 1:00:02Sarah Logan busted her open real bad and busted and then that was
- 1:00:06kind of the last we really heard of her and then she had some
- 1:00:08death in her with her partners and stuff.
- 1:00:11It was rough. Hank and tank versus dark state.
- 1:00:14I thought dark state is corny. I don't like the team at all but
- 1:00:17Hank and Tank. Never seen that before till this
- 1:00:19pay-per-view. I don't watch NXT weekly, but
- 1:00:22Hank and Tank remind me of a of an old ECW team.
- 1:00:28They remind me of the the the gangsters I used to everyone
- 1:00:30like they come out with the vlog football jerseys or hockey
- 1:00:33jerseys. You're talking about gangsters
- 1:00:35or Public Enemy? Public Enemy.
- 1:00:37They remind me of Public Enemy. The gangsters are like Mustafa
- 1:00:40and New Jack, they remind. You know, they remind, they
- 1:00:42remind me of Public Enemy. I thought, I thought they gave
- 1:00:45me Public Enemy vibes. And then Jordan Grace versus
- 1:00:47Blake Run Monroe. I thought it was a fine, I think
- 1:00:50it was a good match. I don't think it was the best
- 1:00:52women's match in the card. I definitely think the best
- 1:00:54women's match in the card goes to the the triple threat #1
- 1:00:57contender match. I thought they killed it.
- 1:00:59I thought that honestly, that might be the best match on the
- 1:01:02whole show. Oba and Javon with a close
- 1:01:04second. Also, one of the rumors coming
- 1:01:06out of NXT is that a lot of people are pushing internally
- 1:01:10for Ethan Page and Chelsea Green to do more work together because
- 1:01:13they like their chemistry with one another.
- 1:01:15I'm all I'm all for that. I'm I'm big fans of both of
- 1:01:18those too. They're they're, they're any
- 1:01:19anytime they're on ITV, I'm happy.
- 1:01:21Give me Canadian gold right there.
- 1:01:23You know, sponsor them. Labatt blue.
- 1:01:26All right. And then we had the Forbidden
- 1:01:29Door. Zero Hour 8 man.
- 1:01:31Tag, I think it's still going on.
- 1:01:33I think it's still going on, actually.
- 1:01:35Versus Paragon, and I mean everything.
- 1:01:38That was all right. Then we had a 0 hour trios match
- 1:01:41with our boy speedball, Kevin Knight.
- 1:01:43And so hang. On I'm going to keep a tally
- 1:01:48here. The first match was an 8 man
- 1:01:49tag. Yep, second match is a three.
- 1:01:51Match is a six man tag so now we are at two matches and I'm on
- 1:01:56the talk with the shirt I'm wearing right now but I'm I'm
- 1:02:00doing my PPW shirt but I'm doing my I'm doing my best to trim
- 1:02:04those matches now I. Promise 88 men women's tag for
- 1:02:08the 0 hour on the other side. So we have 288 person tag, so
- 1:02:13that's 16 people plus A6 man, which gives us six more.
- 1:02:16That's 20. All right, so we're three
- 1:02:18matches and 20 people. Yep, which here's the thing, I
- 1:02:21get it. But like here I, I, I think when
- 1:02:23people get their money's worth and then people get the
- 1:02:25wrestling in front of a crowd. I I don't think it's a terrible
- 1:02:26thing, but like you don't have to watch the pre show, but it's
- 1:02:29there. Then we had a trio championship
- 1:02:33match, so another 20. Six people, 26 people, four
- 1:02:37matches. Then we had Kyle Fletcher versus
- 1:02:40Takahashi, which good match. I'm not a huge Takahashi fan but
- 1:02:45I thought it was a good match. I love her.
- 1:02:47I'm not a, I'm not sold on him. He's kind of like Darby where he
- 1:02:50just takes a beat in the whole time and laughs and I just, he's
- 1:02:52not for me. He's better though.
- 1:02:55But then we had the IWGP championship on the defense,
- 1:02:58Zach Saber junior versus Nigel McGinnis.
- 1:03:00Love that match. I thought it was great.
- 1:03:02I'm so happy to see Nigel wrestling again, so.
- 1:03:04Zacks are bleeding. Got a little nervous, I'm not
- 1:03:06going to lie. Nigel is one of my favorite ROH
- 1:03:09champions of all time. I, I, I was going to a lot of
- 1:03:11Ring of Honor shows with Nigel at the belt.
- 1:03:13Yeah, Hertz in the kit took on FTR and Brodito and lost
- 1:03:18Brodito, your new tag team champions.
- 1:03:20And the end of the match kind of looked screwy, like it was a
- 1:03:23botch, but I guess they went with it.
- 1:03:25It looked like the referee counted 3 and someone didn't
- 1:03:28break it up in time or or they just did a good job of selling
- 1:03:30it. But overall I thought it was a
- 1:03:32fine match and we're going to get if looks like Hertz and I
- 1:03:35think it's going to go after Ricochet's team and FTR is going
- 1:03:38to go after C&C, which is a great name.
- 1:03:41Do you know what C&C stands for? Cage and Copeland.
- 1:03:45Are consensual non consent, which is a whole thing in the in
- 1:03:52in the world of like sex acts, which is pretty much simulated.
- 1:03:55OK, yeah, not interesting. All all I really know is he went
- 1:03:58from rated. R is DNC.
- 1:04:00That's all I really know about. Yeah.
- 1:04:02Yeah, all I really know about is the music factory, that that's
- 1:04:04about it. Then we had the TBS four way
- 1:04:07championship, which I thought if it's a four way, we're going to
- 1:04:09probably get a new champion and I thought it would be Alex
- 1:04:12Windsor, but Mercedes. Monet retains, but I will
- 1:04:14Mercedes must pose. I found a new favorite wrestler
- 1:04:18in that match. I thought Persephone was really
- 1:04:21good, but Bozilla is a beast. I need Bozilla versus Sammy
- 1:04:25chaos right now, but Bozilla unreal.
- 1:04:29I'm a Bozilla fan. Like I thought she was
- 1:04:32incredibly charismatic and very fun to watch.
- 1:04:36Made me a fan after that match. Tag team championship match, our
- 1:04:41tag team match. Copeland and Cage versus Kip.
- 1:04:43Save and kill switch. Wasn't the best, wasn't the
- 1:04:46worst. It was fine.
- 1:04:48The Rainmaker Okada versus Sword Strickland.
- 1:04:50Fantastic match. I thought that was really,
- 1:04:52really good. Okada is starting to show you
- 1:04:54who Okada is a little bit. Really good match there.
- 1:04:58Then we had the lights out steel cage match.
- 1:05:00Osprey Darby, Kenny, Okoda, Abushi and Tanahashi versus Mox
- 1:05:05Claudio and the Young Bucks with Gabe Kidd.
- 1:05:08Fun match. It was fine. the IT was a
- 1:05:10interesting different cage because obviously you can't put
- 1:05:13that many people in a cage and and not have like an outside
- 1:05:15thing. So the cage took up like the
- 1:05:18whole area, which I thought was a cool idea for a cage.
- 1:05:21Honestly I hope more cages stay that way where it kind of just
- 1:05:24block where they kind of have the outside to play with.
- 1:05:26Back in WCW that was called the Thunderdome cage.
- 1:05:30Yeah, yeah, I really. Like that that was.
- 1:05:32And then WWE said let's put a roof on that and call it Helm a
- 1:05:34Cell. Yeah, pretty much.
- 1:05:36And then we had timeless Tony Storm take on the ROH Women's
- 1:05:39Champion Athena. I thought for sure this is
- 1:05:42Athena's time to beat it. I was shot.
- 1:05:45It was a great match, loved it so much.
- 1:05:49Then we had the World Championship Adam and Hang
- 1:05:52Hangman Adam Page versus MJF. And.
- 1:05:56It was a good match. It was fine.
- 1:05:58I think the the story, I thought the story was going to be more
- 1:06:00like Hangman overcame his thing, but he he he essentially cheated
- 1:06:04to win too, like it is. I, I like that.
- 1:06:06I like that. Well, sometimes those nuanced
- 1:06:09stories. The problem is you have to be
- 1:06:11very careful for continuity's sake.
- 1:06:12Well. Once they change the whole
- 1:06:13stipulations going into the pay-per-view, I was like, oh,
- 1:06:16he's not changing the title at any.
- 1:06:18Yeah, I I get what's the deal now you have you can cash and we
- 1:06:20have to give like a week's notice.
- 1:06:22Or something. It has to like a week notice
- 1:06:23before you cash in. Kind of defeats the coolest part
- 1:06:26about that whole gimmick, but OK.
- 1:06:28I don't know if that cash in is like, I don't know if like yeah,
- 1:06:31I guess they did cash in that way before.
- 1:06:34I don't know it's. Weird they have like when
- 1:06:36Christian used it for Christian, Yeah, yeah, totally.
- 1:06:39But the the the funniest thing for that is like, security is
- 1:06:44trying to keep Mark Briscoe from coming in.
- 1:06:46It's like, oh, now security shows up for Mark Briscoe.
- 1:06:49Not when he was being doused in gasoline.
- 1:06:51Yeah, not when he's getting lit on fire.
- 1:06:53And congratulations to him, man. Another baby.
- 1:06:55Oh, good for good for you chicken.
- 1:06:56Tons of Briscoes out there now. That'll pretty much do it for us
- 1:06:59guys. We're going to get into our last
- 1:07:01little segment here of talk about independent wrestling.
- 1:07:03If there's anything that we didn't cover in this week of
- 1:07:05wrestling, let us know. Maybe we'll give our our takes
- 1:07:07on it real fast. Please check the links below.
- 1:07:10If you made it this far and haven't hit the thumbs up button
- 1:07:12or subscribe, please do Putting out tons of content every week.
- 1:07:15Next Thursday we won't be live. We will have a pre recorded
- 1:07:17episode that we will post later so me and P will get BP to get
- 1:07:21together. I already tell you what the
- 1:07:22episode is because I'm getting my belt tonight.
- 1:07:25So our next week's episode that you'll see is going to be the
- 1:07:27History of the Winged Eagle. That's what we're gonna do.
- 1:07:31That's what we're gonna record and get done.
- 1:07:32That that, that is very much my wheelhouse.
- 1:07:34That's like 1980, what, 87 to 98 that is, yeah.
- 1:07:40So that'll be a prerecorded episode that we'll talk next
- 1:07:43week and then the following week after we'll cover everything in
- 1:07:46two weeks of wrestling. We'll have to tell the the Stu,
- 1:07:50the Stu Hart Reggie Park story cause Reggie Park's design, that
- 1:07:53belt and yeah, well, actually it's more of the Owen Hart's Stu
- 1:07:56Hart, Reggie Park story. All right, we'll, we'll, we'll
- 1:08:00cover that. Also links below to follow us on
- 1:08:03social media if you want some merchandise or anything like
- 1:08:05that. It is there.
- 1:08:06We got some T-shirts for sale we will be at, I will be at Fighter
- 1:08:10Tainment BP Yeah, he's missing it unfortunately, but I'll be at
- 1:08:13Pillguru tomorrow night for Fighter Tainment.
- 1:08:15So come through if you're in possible area and come watch us
- 1:08:18perform at Fighter Tainment and on September 13th come out to.
- 1:08:22BTW, so one of the things we announced already tonight and
- 1:08:26one of them I'm going to announce as soon as I get off of
- 1:08:28here. We did announce the seminar.
- 1:08:31Now it's official. Tony Deppen will be joining us
- 1:08:34on September 13th. Speaking of Pillguru Brewing,
- 1:08:37but Tony is going to be doing a seminar for local wrestlers.
- 1:08:40Anybody that wants to help learn the craft from somebody who was
- 1:08:42a very, very, very, very good professional wrestler, Tony
- 1:08:47Deppen is going to be you. Think Tony just kind of comes to
- 1:08:49PPW, likes the locker room, and keeps coming back.
- 1:08:52Who knows? Who knows?
- 1:08:53I hope so. We'll have to see.
- 1:08:55But the the big thing here is that Tony's going to be doing
- 1:08:59this seminar. It's only $20, which is a
- 1:09:01bargain. A bargain.
- 1:09:04If I was a wrestler, I would be lapping that up.
- 1:09:06And the proceeds are going toward Jeff Cannibal in his
- 1:09:09fight with ALS, as are the proceeds for Fighter Tainment
- 1:09:12tomorrow. I'll, I'll tell you this right
- 1:09:14now too, and just just for someone out there, if you're in
- 1:09:17the wrestling industry or you want to get involved in the
- 1:09:19wrestling industry or anything like that.
- 1:09:21Seminars are not always just for people who are in the ring
- 1:09:24working. This one I.
- 1:09:26Think will be Tony's. I from what I understand, Tony's
- 1:09:28very hands on with the seminars. But I mean, even if you're a
- 1:09:31commentator or someone who does backstage interviews or just
- 1:09:34wants to understand more what's happening in the ring so you can
- 1:09:37educate yourself better to be a better person in the locker room
- 1:09:40or anything like that. Like if even if you physically
- 1:09:42can't do seminars where you can get in there and work, go to
- 1:09:45them. I think they're very helpful for
- 1:09:46people who want to be in the business in other.
- 1:09:48Aspects Yeah, I know. Worldwide Dojo.
- 1:09:50They just had a packed house for Gabe Sapolsky.
- 1:09:53Yeah, James Sapolsky came back to Bristol, his old stomping
- 1:09:56grounds, and did a seminar for Worldwide Dojo.
- 1:09:58Yeah. All right.
- 1:09:59Well, that'll do it for us, BP. Anything else you want to close
- 1:10:01out with? Yeah, so speaking to Tony
- 1:10:04Deppen, speaking to PPW, Speaking of September 13th, the
- 1:10:07we announced it at the show, but it was kind of up in the air.
- 1:10:10But everything is is good to go. We are going to have ATV title
- 1:10:13match, our new PPW Television Champion VSK defending against a
- 1:10:18former Ring of Honor TV champion Tony Deppen.
- 1:10:21I can't wait for that match. And that is going to happen on
- 1:10:24September 13th at the Slatington Expo Center.
- 1:10:27Slatington, PA. Yep.
- 1:10:29All right. We'll see you guys next week.
