Bulldog Dies in Hot Van During Training | San Antonio News
A Las Vegas dog trainer faces serious charges after his bulldog, Taco, died from heat stroke during a transport in an unconditioned van. The owner, Michael Martenies, turned himself in and is accused of willful animal cruelty. Taco collapsed with symptoms of severe overheating and later died despite emergency care. A necropsy confirmed heat stroke as the cause, and authorities found the van unsuitable for animal transport and uninspected. Martenies is set to appear in court on September 10th.
