- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing
- 0:12genuine. Issues.
- 0:13Brought to you by the hypnotherapist, demanded by
- 0:16celebrities, CEOs and even royalty, Adam Cox.
- 0:20These recordings took place live from Evans Clinic in London's
- 0:24world famous Harley Street, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:31enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:39Hi, it's Adam here and you're about to listen to a hypnosis
- 0:43session all about self acceptance and full validation.
- 0:49And a lot of people that had the kind of upbringing where they
- 0:53had to earn approval, they had to have conditions met to
- 0:57receive love, affection or attention, actually have a lot
- 1:01of desire deep down to have the validation or approval of other
- 1:06people. The problem with that is it
- 1:09gives a lot of power to other people, and they don't even know
- 1:12that some people will exploit the fact that if your.
- 1:16Worthiness. Is linked to their approval.
- 1:19Then it. Exposes you to.
- 1:21Influence or even. Manipulation because your
- 1:25emotions could be played. Now what can protect you against
- 1:30the need for external validation is if you have lots of self
- 1:34validation. If you like yourself so much,
- 1:37accept yourself so much, approve of yourself so much, then you
- 1:40can want other people to like you, but not need other people
- 1:44to like you. That is a big difference.
- 1:46And that's really what this hypnosis session is about.
- 1:50It was created for someone that was very successful, a high
- 1:54achiever, very, very capable. And yet.
- 1:58Felt that they had to. Earn.
- 2:02Approval. They were scared of judgement of
- 2:04other people and because of that it made them highly.
- 2:07Anxious in a. Lot of different situations.
- 2:10This hypnosis session is designed to deal with the very
- 2:13root cause of that and that is full self acceptance so that the
- 2:18only approval and validation that you need is your own, even
- 2:22if you can like approval and compliments from other people.
- 2:26So if this resonates then I would encourage you to find a
- 2:30quiet, comfortable place where you won't be distracted or
- 2:33disturbed. Relax.
- 2:34And enjoy the session. Take a deep breath in, and as
- 2:55you breathe in, breathe in that slow, long, relaxing breath.
- 3:02And as you exhale, just allow your eyelids to close.
- 3:09And as they close, feel the sense of release going down from
- 3:15your eyelids, down your jaw, spreading across all of those
- 3:23tiny muscles of your face as you breathe in a wonderful feeling
- 3:28of relaxation and just release. Any tension, any insecurities,
- 3:38any worries, so that each breath takes you to a deeper level of
- 3:48relaxation and acceptance. That's it.
- 3:55Scan your body for any clues, not just of tension, but
- 4:01anything that feels like dependency, unworthiness, any
- 4:08blocks. That's it.
- 4:11And imagine them as blocks of ice within your body.
- 4:19And as you breathe in a wonderful feeling of
- 4:21resourcefulness, imagine it like sunshine on the ice, that as you
- 4:29breathe in that warmth, those insecurities, any old beliefs
- 4:36that aren't true, start to incrementally and gradually melt
- 4:42away. And as you exhale, feel, feel
- 4:47the release of what is melting away.
- 4:57And the deeper you breathe, the more relaxed you feel.
- 5:02And the more relaxed you feel, the deeper you breathe.
- 5:11Each breath takes you to a new level of relaxation.
- 5:20Just notice the rhythm of your breathing and scan all the way
- 5:28back in your past. And perhaps you can acknowledge
- 5:34that your mind and your body has always known how to survive,
- 5:44before you ever had savings, before you ever had certainty,
- 5:51before anyone chose you or approved of you.
- 5:56You are hard wired for survival, breathing, adapting, responding
- 6:04and learning. And the deeper part of the mind
- 6:10already knows something that the thinking mind sometimes forgets.
- 6:20Safety has never truly come from other people's choices, because
- 6:27other people have always been unpredictable.
- 6:33You, more than most, know that other people change their minds.
- 6:41They misunderstand. They have their own triggers,
- 6:45fears and preferences. And yet somehow, through all of
- 6:53that unpredictability, you are still here.
- 7:00Which means something much more powerful has been present all
- 7:04along. Resourcefulness.
- 7:11The ability to think, to adapt, to learn, to redirect, to
- 7:20manage, survive and sometimes thrive through unexpected things
- 7:25and situations. The fact that you're so
- 7:32resourceful, independent, is evidence that you cope, you
- 7:41manage, and you make things work.
- 7:43And when your mind begins to really recognize that, a new
- 7:52kind of deep inner confidence starts to emerge.
- 7:59Not the fragile temporary confidence that comes from being
- 8:03chosen, but the deeper confidence that comes from
- 8:08knowing that you can handle life.
- 8:15And maybe for a long time, your nervous system truly believed
- 8:21that safety required something external like approval,
- 8:28acceptance, being preferred, being chosen, or winning and
- 8:34coming first. And that belief may once have
- 8:42even served a purpose, because there were times when belonging
- 8:49mattered deeply for survival. But your mind is not fixed.
- 9:00It can update in the same way that technology can update its
- 9:08software or firmware. Your mind can update its
- 9:13understanding because the adult you has something far more
- 9:21reliable than approval. You have capability.
- 9:30You have the ability to figure things out, the ability to
- 9:36recover, the ability to build something new if something old
- 9:43disappears. And the more you think about
- 9:48that, the truer it becomes so that being chosen isn't
- 9:55required. It's just nice and pleasant.
- 10:01Wouldn't it be wonderful that all these things that you want,
- 10:06thought you needed for safety are just desirable but no longer
- 10:14essential? And I wonder if you can utilize
- 10:22the power of your imagination to think of the idea of an internal
- 10:28structure of safety. Not something given by others,
- 10:38not something dependent on money or status, but something that
- 10:44exists within you. A foundation made from
- 10:50experience that extracts the wisdom from every challenge
- 10:57you've ever faced, every problem you've ever solved, and every
- 11:04time life surprised you and yet you still found a way forward.
- 11:12What if all of those experiences built something indestructible
- 11:19inside you? Resilience.
- 11:26The invincibility that you felt in the past wasn't because it
- 11:31was dependent on the words or actions of other people, it was
- 11:38just vibrating with a frequency that is already within you.
- 11:44Because when you are resilient, you feel invincible, and
- 11:51resilience creates a form of psychological and emotional
- 11:56immunity. I wonder if you could imagine
- 12:00what it would be like to be immune from judgement, immune
- 12:06from rejection, immune from the pressure of needing to win.
- 12:14Just allow your mind to take you to thoughts like that of
- 12:22playing, but not to win, but just to grow and improve.
- 12:28To spend time with people and just evaluate them rather than
- 12:34feeling you need them to be a particular way.
- 12:39And when people show you who they really are, you can accept
- 12:44them as much as you accept yourself.
- 12:53The two words of anxiety are what if.
- 13:01The two words of resilience are even if, But even if something
- 13:09goes wrong, you will find a way. Even if you're rejected, you
- 13:17will find someone that accepts you.
- 13:20Even if money is lost, it can be regained.
- 13:25Even if there are difficulties, there is always a problem.
- 13:32And when the mind trusts that truth, then the nervous system
- 13:38no longer needs to scan the world for danger in the same
- 13:41way. And if your unconscious is
- 13:47willing to update the what ifs to even ifs, let me know by
- 13:57nodding your head. That's it.
- 14:02And don't be surprised if in the hours, days and weeks that
- 14:05follow you catch yourself with a what if thought and maybe you'll
- 14:13notice how quickly your mind updates it to an even if.
- 14:20Even if that thing happens, you have the resources to handle it.
- 14:31Now consider the idea not of partial self acceptance, but
- 14:37complete self acceptance. Acceptance not based on
- 14:43performance, not based on comparison, and not based on
- 14:48what others think, but based on something simpler.
- 14:55You are the only person who has lived your entire life.
- 15:03You know the intentions behind your choices and you know the
- 15:07effort that you've made. You know the lessons you've
- 15:13learned. And because of that, you can
- 15:18believe something very freeing, that you don't need permission
- 15:25to accept yourself. Acceptance is a decision, a
- 15:33recognition that you are already enough to live your life on your
- 15:40terms. Not perfect, not superior, but
- 15:48complete. And from that place of
- 15:52completeness, self trust grows naturally.
- 16:00And I want you to imagine a future situation where something
- 16:06unexpected happens, a situation where you are not chosen, a
- 16:14situation where you are misunderstood, where
- 16:18circumstances or predictabilities suddenly
- 16:22change. But see that future version of
- 16:26you doing something different. Instead of panic or low self
- 16:33worth, there is space. There is a moment of calm
- 16:39curiosity. That deeper part of you now
- 16:44knows that whatever happens, you will handle it.
- 16:50That if one door closes, you will find several more that
- 16:54open. If something disappears, you
- 16:59will simply create something new.
- 17:03Your safety and security does not come from external
- 17:07guarantees. It comes from your resourceful
- 17:11ability to respond, and that ability cannot be taken away.
- 17:21The more you trust yourself implicitly, this understanding
- 17:28then deepens and something else begins to happen.
- 17:35The need for validation or approval quietly loosens its
- 17:39grip. Validation is pleasant, but it's
- 17:45no longer required. Approval is enjoyable that it's
- 17:52no longer necessary. Belonging can still be valued,
- 17:59but it's no longer the foundation of safety.
- 18:04Instead, belonging becomes something entirely different, a
- 18:11choice, a preference, a gift, or perhaps a bonus.
- 18:19It's no longer a requirement for peace.
- 18:24And when belonging becomes optional rather than necessary,
- 18:29relationships become lighter, more genuine, and less anxious.
- 18:37Because when you need approval, when you need to be chosen, when
- 18:41you need to belong, that can lead to dependency, unhealthy
- 18:50attachments. Wanting to belong, wanting to be
- 18:56chosen is a natural human need, and you can desire it without
- 19:05feeling that your very safety requires it.
- 19:13And before we return to the present, just consider the idea
- 19:18of judgement. Because other people will always
- 19:22have opinions. That's just part of being human.
- 19:28But opinions are not threats, they're just perspectives.
- 19:35And when the mind fully accepts and owns its own resilience,
- 19:43judgement loses its power. Someone else's opinion does not
- 19:50determine your worth, and it does not determine your safety.
- 19:58Your safety comes from something far more stable, your ability
- 20:03and resources to navigate life. So from now on, the mind will
- 20:11adopt A new principle. A principle that strengthens
- 20:16self trust and reduces that need for dependency.
- 20:22And the principle is simple. You are safe because you are
- 20:28capable. Not because everything is
- 20:32predictable, and not because everyone approves, but because
- 20:38you have the intelligence, adaptability, the resilience,
- 20:43and the resourcefulness to handle whatever happens.
- 20:48And that understanding finally allows the nervous system to
- 20:55fully rest and relax and feel truly safe.
- 21:07Those external things become desirable rather than necessary.
- 21:13The longing becomes enjoyable, success becomes satisfying,
- 21:20recognition becomes rewarding. But none of them are required
- 21:26for peace and safety. Your inner peace comes from
- 21:31knowing that you are already enough, and if your unconscious
- 21:38is willing to accept that, you have the resources to feel safe.
- 21:49And when you feel safe, you don't feel fear.
- 21:53And when you don't feel fear, you don't feel shame.
- 21:56Just let me know by nodding your head.
- 22:02It's time to float back to the present, taking all of these
- 22:04changes with you with a desire or willingness to change the
- 22:09what ifs to even ifs, to turn doubt into trust, to turn
- 22:17dependency to resiliency. Take a deep breath in through
- 22:24your nose and out through your nose.
- 22:29Just wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
- 22:32Connect and calibrate into the here and the now.
- 22:36As I now count, from 1:00 to 10:00 you will awaken, returning
- 22:41with a wonderful sense of resourcefulness, which is your
- 22:45new internal structure. For safety.
- 22:51Starting to count 123 Waking up 456.
- 22:56More alert 7-8 Open your eyes. Open your eyes 910.
