- 0:50Speaker 1: on before, but I want to bring in someone that
- 0:53Speaker 1: we've been watching for quite some time in the XRP ecosystem.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Then of course you guys know him out there as
- 0:59Speaker 1: Michel coming in. Hey, Connor, how are you good.
- 1:03Speaker 2: How are you. It's a pleasure to be here and

- 1:07Speaker 2: to come on board.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Yeah, it's gonna be fun. If you guys haven't checked
- 1:11Speaker 1: his YouTube page out, just go over You can search
- 1:14Speaker 1: Michel XRP right there some of his most recent videos.
- 1:17Speaker 1: We'll be talking about that going to a billion users
- 1:20Speaker 1: and possibly the ETF what kind of impact that it's
- 1:23Speaker 1: going to have. But go over there hit subscribe. I'm
- 1:25Speaker 1: gonna do it right now. I am now a subscriber
- 1:29Speaker 1: of Michel XRP. So let's jump into it today. I
- 1:32Speaker 1: want to get into a few things, Connor, and one
- 1:35Speaker 1: of the things I want to get into is the
- 1:37Speaker 1: whole news here with coinbase. This is an interesting evolution
- 1:41Speaker 1: of what coinbase is doing. Obviously they're announcing their derivatives,
- 1:45Speaker 1: all of that coming under now the coinbase banner. First
- 1:49Speaker 1: of all, what do you think about this release of information?
- 1:52Speaker 1: Do you feel like this news is big news for
- 1:54Speaker 1: the community or is this something that's kind of secondary.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Well, I think it's more big news for institutional use
- 2:02Speaker 2: cases hedging and building more complex structures with XRP. In
- 2:08Speaker 2: terms of the derivatives, I don't think it's something your
- 2:10Speaker 2: average user is going to do a lot of interaction with.
- 2:13Speaker 2: But one of the things we've personally been faced with
- 2:16Speaker 2: is just having some of those structured products on trusted exchanges,
- 2:22Speaker 2: especially in the United States right now, to get that
- 2:24Speaker 2: kind of liquidity, a lot of the times you have
- 2:26Speaker 2: to go to offshore firms. Coinbase obviously has a great
- 2:29Speaker 2: reputation here in the United States, and so just to
- 2:32Speaker 2: have some of those more complex feature sets around being
- 2:35Speaker 2: able to trade price and just do more intricate financial products,
- 2:40Speaker 2: it's really nice to have that in the United States.
- 2:42Speaker 2: There's a lot of larger firms offshore, but sometimes that
- 2:47Speaker 2: can create potential issues, and also you're also dealing with
- 2:50Speaker 2: counterparties who you might not be as comfortable with.
- 2:52Speaker 3: So just having those more.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Sophisticated products rather than just obviously spot is very very
- 2:58Speaker 2: useful to anyone building out more complex structured products.
- 3:02Speaker 3: So it's a great advancement there. Like I said, probably
- 3:05Speaker 3: a little less.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Interesting for your average user, but I'm still going to
- 3:09Speaker 2: be very beneficial into bringing larger, more sophisticated people into
- 3:13Speaker 2: the space.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Which that'll be good I think for XRP in general,
- 3:16Speaker 1: because it's going to open that up to the traditional
- 3:19Speaker 1: investment house as well as potential other structured capital out
- 3:23Speaker 1: there that might want to go the direction of derivatives,
- 3:27Speaker 1: which is good. I think that's going to you know,
- 3:29Speaker 1: kind of rising tide lifts all bolts. Let's go over
- 3:32Speaker 1: to the topic of banking, because now that we've got
- 3:36Speaker 1: somewhat of a regulatory alignment coming out of this administration,
- 3:40Speaker 1: Crypto is now going over and knocking on the door
- 3:43Speaker 1: of the banking world that basically has been shutting them
- 3:47Speaker 1: out for the last five to eight years, and they're
- 3:49Speaker 1: actually coming in and saying, hey, yeah, maybe it's time
- 3:52Speaker 1: for us to go in and get a bank charter.
- 3:53Speaker 1: You've got Circle Bitco as well as others going into this.
- 3:58Speaker 1: At the same time, you've got Ripple, of course, which
- 4:01Speaker 1: has already kind of been in this lane. Do you
- 4:03Speaker 1: feel like this is going to be something that will
- 4:05Speaker 1: be competitive to what Ripple's future is from a banking
- 4:09Speaker 1: ecosystem side.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I actually think it's going to be pretty different.
- 4:14Speaker 2: And I have a little bit of a unique insight
- 4:17Speaker 2: here because personally, I've gotten to work with Anchorage Digital,
- 4:22Speaker 2: who is the only federally chartered occ bank at the moment,
- 4:27Speaker 2: and the way I kind of see this going is
- 4:29Speaker 2: that a lot of these cryptocurrency banks will sit as
- 4:33Speaker 2: the infrastructure for more of the traditional banks. I don't
- 4:36Speaker 2: think a lot of traditional banks are really going to
- 4:39Speaker 2: figure out crypto currency infrastructure, and they're going to rely
- 4:42Speaker 2: on a lot of the players like your ripples, your anchorages,
- 4:45Speaker 2: your coinbase to provide that level of custody for their clients. Now,
- 4:52Speaker 2: I still do think that there's going to be those
- 4:54Speaker 2: traditional banks as well, and then they're going to lean
- 4:57Speaker 2: on some of these more crypto currency focused banks in
- 5:00Speaker 2: order to do that part of what they're holding is
- 5:03Speaker 2: and maybe in five to ten years from now, you'll
- 5:06Speaker 2: see a lot of these cryptocurrency banks becoming a lot
- 5:09Speaker 2: more full scope and really disrupting the status quo and
- 5:13Speaker 2: bringing a lot of those more traditional products. But I
- 5:16Speaker 2: think one of the biggest pieces that the industry has
- 5:19Speaker 2: really been missing is that banking license, because there's a
- 5:23Speaker 2: lot of things that get into the weeds of client
- 5:27Speaker 2: protections that not a lot of people really focus on
- 5:30Speaker 2: when it comes to players like coinbase, and when it
- 5:33Speaker 2: comes to different players who are not a federally chartered bank,
- 5:37Speaker 2: so Anchorage is able to square that with the OCC
- 5:40Speaker 2: back in twenty twenty. They were the first ones to
- 5:42Speaker 2: do it, and it brings in a level of client
- 5:44Speaker 2: protections that are very important. I think ultimately it's going
- 5:48Speaker 2: to be commonplace for a lot of these different firms
- 5:51Speaker 2: to apply for that licenses because it allows them to
- 5:54Speaker 2: protect clients the way they can't really do now. But
- 5:57Speaker 2: in the interim, I think a lot of these will
- 6:00Speaker 2: really set as infrastructure players for a lot of the
- 6:03Speaker 2: more traditional banking world because I don't see them building
- 6:06Speaker 2: it themselves, and if you take a look at who
- 6:09Speaker 2: people are integrated with, who they're leaning on, it's actually
- 6:12Speaker 2: already pretty obvious they aren't planning on building it themselves.
- 6:16Speaker 2: So I think this is going to be a really
- 6:17Speaker 2: big step in taking those billions of clients that these
- 6:22Speaker 2: institutions already have and rather than sending them off and saying, hey,
- 6:26Speaker 2: we're not going to service this, you have to go
- 6:28Speaker 2: use this other provider, being like, hey, we can now
- 6:31Speaker 2: do this, whether or not that's them actually doing it,
- 6:34Speaker 2: or just have an API to kind of their back
- 6:36Speaker 2: end to a cryptocurrency company who's better at it. That's
- 6:39Speaker 2: where I think this is going towards pretty rapidly well.
- 6:42Speaker 1: And I think the banking ecosystem is very adept at
- 6:46Speaker 1: being able to develop these partnerships, and they've done it
- 6:49Speaker 1: in many different sectors, including the If you think about
- 6:52Speaker 1: merchant services along MasterCard, Visa, a lot of that is integrated,
- 6:56Speaker 1: you know, and in many cases even if you look
- 6:58Speaker 1: at Stripe, because there's a lot a lot of companies
- 7:00Speaker 1: that have already started to use third party services. I
- 7:03Speaker 1: know the banks now are trying to catch up in
- 7:05Speaker 1: that space. I don't know that they ever will, So
- 7:08Speaker 1: to your point, that is a big one. If you
- 7:11Speaker 1: compare this also to what's happening with XRP Ledger and
- 7:16Speaker 1: them getting it into hidden road, this of course could
- 7:19Speaker 1: change things up quite a bit here in terms of
- 7:21Speaker 1: prime brokerage services. Do you think this will have any
- 7:24Speaker 1: competitive layer into some of the services that might be
- 7:28Speaker 1: offered by let's say a Bank of America or a
- 7:32Speaker 1: Chase or someone like that that would be able to
- 7:34Speaker 1: partner with someone like a coinbase or a Robinhood, whoever
- 7:38Speaker 1: it might be, that would be a potential utility.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I see it as competition on a different level.
- 7:46Speaker 2: So I don't see it necessarily competition on a retail
- 7:50Speaker 2: account level, but in terms of a higher level clearing
- 7:55Speaker 2: service and more institutional kind of use cases for structure
- 8:00Speaker 2: products and stuff like that that would trickle down to
- 8:03Speaker 2: the underlying users. I see that being a huge application
- 8:06Speaker 2: here at the end of the day. Normally, when a
- 8:08Speaker 2: bank is building any kind of structured product or anything
- 8:11Speaker 2: like that, right, they're not building it out at the
- 8:12Speaker 2: account level.
- 8:13Speaker 3: It's normally a larger fund or larger.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Product that they've built out that clients will be able
- 8:19Speaker 2: to get access to. And when it comes to that
- 8:21Speaker 2: back end clearing, tokenization, issuance, any kind of more structured
- 8:27Speaker 2: margin product, I think that all happens at a higher
- 8:30Speaker 2: level using someone like a hidden road. And I think
- 8:33Speaker 2: this is kind of Ripple's big strategy, right, Like, if
- 8:36Speaker 2: you want to get a billion users using blockchain technology, well,
- 8:40Speaker 2: the vast majority of those billion users have no interest
- 8:43Speaker 2: holding a wallet or doing all these other things, right,
- 8:45Speaker 2: They just want the advantages of the technology. And if
- 8:48Speaker 2: you're a bank, right, you probably don't want to be
- 8:50Speaker 2: coaching all your clients through it a seat phrase and
- 8:53Speaker 2: all that stuff. So they want to be able to
- 8:55Speaker 2: use the technology, but they want to be able to
- 8:57Speaker 2: make it as low touch and ideally not even have
- 9:00Speaker 2: their clients even have to know that these things are happening.
- 9:03Speaker 2: So I think a lot of that's going to happen
- 9:05Speaker 2: at the higher level. I think that's where hidden Road
- 9:07Speaker 2: really comes in, and then they're able to go to
- 9:09Speaker 2: their clients and offer these more efficient, better products for
- 9:13Speaker 2: them that leverage the power of blockchain technology without the
- 9:16Speaker 2: users really ever having to see a big difference there.
- 9:19Speaker 2: So that's how I think Ripple's kind of always structured
- 9:23Speaker 2: a lot of what they do. Even if you look
- 9:26Speaker 2: at how they interact with a lot of their clients
- 9:28Speaker 2: and on their marketing, their clients might be using XRP,
- 9:31Speaker 2: but they don't bring it to the client saying, hey
- 9:34Speaker 2: you need to do this calculation, send over this much XRP,
- 9:38Speaker 2: swap it. It's really always from Ripple's perspective, Hey, you're
- 9:41Speaker 2: going to be using the power cryptocurrency, and if you
- 9:44Speaker 2: don't want to know about how that's happening, you.
- 9:46Speaker 3: Don't have to.
- 9:47Speaker 2: And I think that's kind to kind of be like
- 9:49Speaker 2: that plumbing piece being put into a lot of these
- 9:51Speaker 2: institutions that's going to be the most important part, and
- 9:55Speaker 2: hidden road kind of acts as that bridge from more
- 9:57Speaker 2: the traditional financial product sets out there, structured income clearing,
- 10:04Speaker 2: large equity sales, large currency FX and bridging that over
- 10:09Speaker 2: now to the cryptocurrency world. So these two different things
- 10:11Speaker 2: can really interact on a higher level.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Yeah, And one thing I think that a lot of
- 10:15Speaker 1: people don't realize is once that we get mainstream services
- 10:21Speaker 1: and adoption like that, the likelihood of those users, those
- 10:26Speaker 1: investors just in everyday people, they're going to start to
- 10:30Speaker 1: explore things, and I think that's when maybe they start
- 10:33Speaker 1: to get into, you know, the XRP ledger ecosystem, start
- 10:37Speaker 1: to understand how they can go out there and truly
- 10:40Speaker 1: get into crypto in general. Hopefully they're watching our shows.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Well, I know, we have a DeFi segment later, so
- 10:46Speaker 2: more than half we're hit it that specifically. It's it's
- 10:49Speaker 2: a very interesting question. I think I have a different
- 10:51Speaker 2: viewpoint than you might expect there.
- 10:53Speaker 1: All right, well, good, let's get into this, and that
- 10:56Speaker 1: is a potential national XRP reserve. Now this this was
- 11:00Speaker 1: a little bit high there for a minute back here
- 11:02Speaker 1: in February, after you know, Garling House and the team
- 11:06Speaker 1: of Ripple made their mar A Lago accord meeting. I
- 11:10Speaker 1: feel like it seems like everybody's in mar A Lago
- 11:14Speaker 1: these days, but now it's dropped down to around twenty
- 11:16Speaker 1: percent possibility. What do you think you think we're going
- 11:19Speaker 1: to get XRP in the reserve.
- 11:22Speaker 2: I do hope if there is an XRP reserve there's
- 11:26Speaker 2: a little bit more of a reason for it. I
- 11:29Speaker 2: would love to see some kind of higher level partnership
- 11:32Speaker 2: between Ripple and the United States government and have some
- 11:37Speaker 2: liquidity reasons to be holding a significant portion of XRP.
- 11:41Speaker 2: If it is just on the investment standpoint, if it's
- 11:44Speaker 2: just like, hey, we want to be able to hold
- 11:46Speaker 2: and allocate to this asset, I mean.
- 11:48Speaker 3: That's great as well.
- 11:49Speaker 2: But I don't know if I necessarily have any kind
- 11:51Speaker 2: of idea on when the government would kind of say, hey,
- 11:56Speaker 2: now's the time we want to start allocating to more
- 11:59Speaker 2: crypto assets other than bitcoin. I mean, to be honest,
- 12:02Speaker 2: it kind of seemed like that was the plan, and
- 12:04Speaker 2: then a subset of people got kind of mad about it,
- 12:07Speaker 2: and we're complaining, and then they walked it back.
- 12:10Speaker 3: So I don't know.
- 12:10Speaker 2: To me, it seems like they had this idea and
- 12:13Speaker 2: this concept, and then you had some infighting on what
- 12:17Speaker 2: actually got put it across. So I don't know how
- 12:19Speaker 2: powerful that is. I don't know if it was more
- 12:21Speaker 2: of Okay, we'll appease you in the short term and
- 12:23Speaker 2: then we'll do what we wanted to over the long term,
- 12:26Speaker 2: or they like totally flip their idea and now they
- 12:28Speaker 2: don't want to touch anything other than bitcoin. That's what
- 12:31Speaker 2: I'm not really sure about. I mean, over the long run,
- 12:34Speaker 2: I don't think it really matters, because I think these
- 12:36Speaker 2: technologies will prove themselves out. In the United States government
- 12:39Speaker 2: will kind of be sitting there in the same way
- 12:41Speaker 2: they kind of ignored bitcoin for so long, saying, hey, well,
- 12:44Speaker 2: now we're ignoring this other thing that we wanted to
- 12:47Speaker 2: be able to hold as a reserve, and we didn't
- 12:50Speaker 2: do it because there was controversy at the time. But
- 12:52Speaker 2: I think more adoption, more priced appreciation for the underlying asset,
- 12:57Speaker 2: and we'll be kind of back in the same exact
- 12:59Speaker 2: thing now now it's XRP being added, and then some
- 13:02Speaker 2: other community will say, oh, why is an art thing
- 13:04Speaker 2: being added? And as these things get more and more adopted,
- 13:07Speaker 2: it will be easier for them to justify it and
- 13:10Speaker 2: kind of get through it. But yeah, I think ultimately,
- 13:13Speaker 2: at the end of the day, I think the entire
- 13:14Speaker 2: decision making process there was a little fuzzy, and probably
- 13:19Speaker 2: time more than anything, fixes that well.
- 13:21Speaker 1: And you kind of have to compare a little bit
- 13:24Speaker 1: because in this there's no other crypto that has been
- 13:28Speaker 1: in the crosshairs at least from a legal standpoint now
- 13:30Speaker 1: with a fine that maybe the Treasury Department could reroute
- 13:35Speaker 1: that fine and say, well, we're going to take that
- 13:37Speaker 1: fine and just turn it into xarpie tokens, put it
- 13:40Speaker 1: in a strategic reserve. Maybe that would be an angle
- 13:43Speaker 1: in which the Trump administration could pull that off. David
- 13:46Speaker 1: Sachs might try it.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Bradd also said that he was interested in paying it
- 13:51Speaker 2: in XRP. I know that was something he dropped in
- 13:53Speaker 2: an interview. So I think it makes a ton of
- 13:56Speaker 2: sense to be able to do that. I think it
- 13:57Speaker 2: would be very cool to see it happen. But in
- 14:00Speaker 2: terms of like what that means for the ecosystem, right,
- 14:03Speaker 2: like for me, you in the United States government holding
- 14:06Speaker 2: XRP cool and interesting, But in terms of like Tier
- 14:09Speaker 2: one banks actually putting that in as rails forth kind
- 14:12Speaker 2: of their financial plumbing. That to me is something that
- 14:15Speaker 2: gets me a lot more excited than Ripple paying a
- 14:18Speaker 2: fine in the United States government having a little bag
- 14:20Speaker 2: of XRP.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree with you. I think the banking rails
- 14:24Speaker 1: are kind of the holy grail of that. Speaking of that,
- 14:27Speaker 1: when you look at the holy grail of valuation right now,
- 14:30Speaker 1: XRP holding right here on coin market cap, we're holding
- 14:34Speaker 1: position right now right, Yeah, one twenty one, one hundred
- 14:38Speaker 1: and twenty one built. So the likelihood of flipping eth,
- 14:42Speaker 1: and this is something that people talk about all the time,
- 14:46Speaker 1: possibly if it accelerated. If you compare this and I
- 14:49Speaker 1: was looking at this today right now, and I'll zoom
- 14:52Speaker 1: in on this, if it were to flip Ether, and
- 14:54Speaker 1: that's if Eth wasn't moving now granted Eth hasn't been
- 14:56Speaker 1: moving much. It would only have to get to a
- 14:59Speaker 1: three dollars and thirty three sent price to flip Eth
- 15:02Speaker 1: with little movement on eath. With bitcoin, it's a bit
- 15:06Speaker 1: of a challenge. That's almost twenty nine dollars a share,
- 15:10Speaker 1: or I should say a token. So what do you
- 15:13Speaker 1: think do you think this is a possibility that we
- 15:15Speaker 1: could see XORP back in the number two slot.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll give you kind of my controversial take to
- 15:21Speaker 2: start here, and that's that, in my opinion, XRP has
- 15:24Speaker 2: already flipped ethereum. When you look at the market cap
- 15:28Speaker 2: calculation for how they even do market cap, they're taking
- 15:32Speaker 2: circulating supply, which is like kind of a weird metric
- 15:36Speaker 2: to start rather than just using the total available tokens.
- 15:40Speaker 2: But if you look at what they're taking for ethereum
- 15:42Speaker 2: circulating supply, they're taking every token in existence. For XRP,
- 15:48Speaker 2: they're cutting out what ripples holding an escrow. But from
- 15:52Speaker 2: a market cap perspective, all of those tokens have already
- 15:55Speaker 2: been issued by the ledger. All of those tokens have
- 15:58Speaker 2: been in the circular supply before. Now they're just locked up.
- 16:03Speaker 2: And I kind of asked the question, why do we
- 16:06Speaker 2: count Sutoshi's wallet for circulating supply? Why do we count
- 16:11Speaker 2: the ethereum foundations there? Why do we count their ethereum
- 16:14Speaker 2: towards circulating supply? But you don't count ripples escro of XRP.
- 16:20Speaker 2: So for me, the whole kind of calculation for market
- 16:24Speaker 2: cap is already a little weird not counting so many
- 16:27Speaker 2: of those tokens. And then to add to that weirdness,
- 16:31Speaker 2: if you take a look at what coin market caps
- 16:33Speaker 2: reporting on the fifty six billion that they use to
- 16:36Speaker 2: create that number, that's actually not even the real circulating
- 16:41Speaker 2: supply because there's only like thirty six billion left in escrow,
- 16:45Speaker 2: so even that number is lagging quite a bit long
- 16:48Speaker 2: winded way of saying, I think we're actually a lot
- 16:50Speaker 2: closer to flipping ethereum than the coin mark cap numbers
- 16:54Speaker 2: even show, but I think it's a high degree of likelihood.
- 16:57Speaker 3: I mean, the interesting thing is is one and any kind.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Of different reported numbers from how coin market cap is
- 17:03Speaker 2: even looking at circulating supply in terms of getting that
- 17:07Speaker 2: number correct and having the appropriate circulating supply probably makes
- 17:11Speaker 2: it so we only need a three dollar XRP to
- 17:15Speaker 2: flip ethereum. And then on top of that, I mean,
- 17:18Speaker 2: the last six months XRP is outperformed ethereum. And I'll
- 17:22Speaker 2: tell you right now, and this is the interesting thing.
- 17:24Speaker 2: Not a lot of people realize when it comes down
- 17:27Speaker 2: to like the allocation of these cryptocurrency assets by your
- 17:32Speaker 2: more typical traditional financial advisors and stuff like that, there's not.
- 17:37Speaker 3: A lot of rigor to it.
- 17:38Speaker 2: They say, Okay, you should hold bitcoin because that's the
- 17:41Speaker 2: biggest thing, and then we'll hedge that position with a
- 17:43Speaker 2: little bit of the second biggest thing. But there's not
- 17:46Speaker 2: a lot of like, oh, because we believe in the
- 17:48Speaker 2: functionality of ethereum, the smart contract, like, it doesn't really
- 17:52Speaker 2: get to that like you would. You think it would,
- 17:55Speaker 2: but it's a little it's a little lazier. And I
- 17:58Speaker 2: think if you and you're already hearing this, as ethereum
- 18:02Speaker 2: continues to underperform XRP, a lot of people are asking
- 18:06Speaker 2: the question like, hey, why am I even allocated to
- 18:09Speaker 2: this Ethereum thing anymore? Because they're not making the decision
- 18:13Speaker 2: based off of the underlying network. They're making it based
- 18:16Speaker 2: off of what is going up now. So I already
- 18:19Speaker 2: think you're starting to see some of that reallocation.
- 18:22Speaker 3: And I think with.
- 18:22Speaker 2: The case off of Ripple, when you see a lot
- 18:25Speaker 2: of these ETFs launching, it's just going to add fuel
- 18:28Speaker 2: to the fire. And I wouldn't be surprised if it's
- 18:31Speaker 2: one of these things. A combination of these things all
- 18:34Speaker 2: kind of lead to XRP flipping ethereum. But My last
- 18:38Speaker 2: note here is XRP had already flipped the theoreum prior
- 18:41Speaker 2: to the case. If you go look at the ETH
- 18:43Speaker 2: to XRP ratio chart. Just so happened that as soon
- 18:47Speaker 2: as there is the investigation into Ripple and XRP, XRP
- 18:50Speaker 2: started underperforming ETH, and as soon as the case was over,
- 18:55Speaker 2: XRP starts outperforming ETH. So it almost seems like we're
- 18:58Speaker 2: just back to the norm here and we don't have
- 19:00Speaker 2: this weight on the XRP XRP shoulders.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Well to your point, you're looking at back in November.
- 19:07Speaker 1: This is the weekly chart right now on ETH versus
- 19:10Speaker 1: XRP right here, and you guys can see it now.
- 19:13Speaker 1: There is a very interesting line of defense that we
- 19:15Speaker 1: are on right now. Connor, do you think this is
- 19:20Speaker 1: the point in which we see a breakout, because this
- 19:22Speaker 1: is the first time we've really retested this really if
- 19:26Speaker 1: you go back, I mean this goes back way into
- 19:28Speaker 1: when was the last time we looked at this position
- 19:30Speaker 1: on an upward trend, back of September twenty eighteen.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Yeah, and funny enough, that was when September of twenty
- 19:37Speaker 2: eighteen was when the SEC came out and around that
- 19:40Speaker 2: time gave the legal clarity to Ethereum and kind of
- 19:44Speaker 2: slammed it down everything else, with the obvious investigation dropping
- 19:48Speaker 2: into Ripple only a couple weeks later.
- 19:51Speaker 3: So I think the timing of that performance.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Is also interesting as well, because let's face it, right,
- 19:57Speaker 2: like a lot of people did sort of know these
- 19:59Speaker 2: things going on, and if you were a large fund
- 20:02Speaker 2: invested in crypto like and you had an idea these
- 20:05Speaker 2: things were going to drop, obviously you had to wait
- 20:07Speaker 2: towards eth rather than next RP. But no, I think
- 20:10Speaker 2: this is kind of a huge zone, and you pointed
- 20:12Speaker 2: out the exact zone I've been talking about on my
- 20:14Speaker 2: live streams as well. I think it's gonna be interesting
- 20:17Speaker 2: to see what the catalyst is. Is it those ETFs
- 20:20Speaker 2: getting more certainty on when they're getting pushed through the door,
- 20:23Speaker 2: is it them going live, is it the actual voting
- 20:27Speaker 2: on of the commissioned and the case in totality, or
- 20:31Speaker 2: maybe it's just an announcement no one's been expecting in
- 20:34Speaker 2: terms of some financial institution signing some contract and coming
- 20:38Speaker 2: more public with Ripple about it. But I think there's
- 20:41Speaker 2: a lot of potential catalysts that could do it and
- 20:43Speaker 2: I just don't see that same momentum in the ethereum
- 20:46Speaker 2: ecosystem right now. It seems like there's quite a few
- 20:49Speaker 2: of outstanding issues that you know, as an ethereum holder myself,
- 20:54Speaker 2: I was kind of hoping these things would have gotten
- 20:56Speaker 2: fixed and solved quite a bit ago, and it just
- 20:58Speaker 2: seems like they continue to lag and nag, and you know,
- 21:02Speaker 2: you kind of see these potential fixes come in, but
- 21:04Speaker 2: then a lot of the other issues are still sticky.
- 21:07Speaker 2: So I don't know if that's weighing on price performance,
- 21:10Speaker 2: if it's just in general these other cryptocurrency networks gaining
- 21:13Speaker 2: a lot more adoption, but I think that performance is
- 21:17Speaker 2: going to hurt, especially when it comes down to those
- 21:20Speaker 2: asset managers who are just putting money in ethereum because
- 21:24Speaker 2: it's the second biggest thing.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Well, yeah, to your point, I'm back to the whole
- 21:28Speaker 1: idea of asset managers that are really looking at crypto.
- 21:31Speaker 1: I think to the point that most asset managers I know,
- 21:35Speaker 1: many of the money managers I talked to that talk
- 21:37Speaker 1: about well, what's you know, what's an alternative to hedge
- 21:40Speaker 1: against bitcoin. One of the things that they always bring
- 21:43Speaker 1: up is still the legal scenario that XRP faced are
- 21:47Speaker 1: ripple face. So I think a lot of that was
- 21:49Speaker 1: still you know, kind of under the bridge in the
- 21:52Speaker 1: sense of asset managers. Maybe they haven't completely got onto
- 21:57Speaker 1: the idea of this is over and maybe there is
- 22:01Speaker 1: going to be something that will flow into that. Now,
- 22:03Speaker 1: one thing that will happen is if we start to
- 22:05Speaker 1: see another network move into this. I was looking at
- 22:08Speaker 1: the Phantom blog and they were going into some of
- 22:11Speaker 1: the requests items. Guess what was number one right there
- 22:14Speaker 1: adding xrp's ripple chain number one out of all of
- 22:18Speaker 1: the different feature requests out of there. Do you think
- 22:20Speaker 1: this is a possibility. Can we see Phantom with ripple
- 22:24Speaker 1: available over on it?
- 22:26Speaker 3: Oh? I would love to see it.
- 22:28Speaker 2: And I think it's one of these things these other
- 22:30Speaker 2: ecosystems should.
- 22:32Speaker 3: Wake up to a bit.
- 22:33Speaker 2: I think for a long time it was looked at
- 22:36Speaker 2: as like, oh, well, there's like not an XRP community,
- 22:40Speaker 2: or people don't want to use their XRP for anything
- 22:43Speaker 2: like that. I can tell you that's absolutely not the case.
- 22:47Speaker 2: I mean, when it comes to ecosystem size, when it
- 22:49Speaker 2: comes to participants, the XRP community is very, very, very
- 22:55Speaker 2: large and I think there's a lot of potential benefit
- 22:58Speaker 2: from someone like Phantom adding these capabilities. For the longest time,
- 23:02Speaker 2: the XRP ledger just didn't have the feature set to
- 23:04Speaker 2: support some of this stuff. So it wasn't that people
- 23:06Speaker 2: didn't want to do it or there was no appetite.
- 23:09Speaker 2: It was just that bridges were really bad. No one
- 23:11Speaker 2: really trusted using any bridges, and it was that the
- 23:14Speaker 2: XRP ledgers didn't have the native functionality to do some
- 23:17Speaker 2: of these things like meme coins or other DeFi related
- 23:21Speaker 2: activities natively on the chain. But I think if I
- 23:24Speaker 2: was someone like Phantom and I was seeing, like, wait,
- 23:27Speaker 2: there's a huge appetite for people over here who want
- 23:30Speaker 2: these services and they don't have another way to get it,
- 23:33Speaker 2: I mean, it seems like to be a no brainer
- 23:35Speaker 2: in terms of saying, Okay, well you have the third
- 23:37Speaker 2: biggest asset cryptocurrency here, there's a large amount of untapped
- 23:43Speaker 2: potential in terms of building out these services, and there's
- 23:47Speaker 2: so much market cap and not a lot of avenues.
- 23:49Speaker 2: It just seems like you could really capture a lot
- 23:51Speaker 2: of that very quickly. Where some of these ecosystems that
- 23:54Speaker 2: are not the XRP Ledger. There's a lot of different
- 23:58Speaker 2: ways to access things. There's already kind of native on
- 24:00Speaker 2: chain support, so you might get a certain subset of
- 24:03Speaker 2: the people over there, but there's kind of a lot
- 24:05Speaker 2: of different avenues people can take to maybe do that
- 24:08Speaker 2: same exact thing. So I think phantom would be a
- 24:11Speaker 2: great addition on the XRP side, and I think they
- 24:15Speaker 2: would be extremely surprised with how much volume and how
- 24:18Speaker 2: much liquidity would come over from this community for sure.
- 24:23Speaker 1: Well, I mean you could even throw in the idea
- 24:24Speaker 1: of stable coins coming in RLUSD and into some of
- 24:28Speaker 1: the other ecosystems, as we see that being listed now
- 24:31Speaker 1: in other places out there. Speaking of the XRB ledger
- 24:35Speaker 1: side chain, of the EVM side of things, When you
- 24:38Speaker 1: look at this, do you think there's a possibility that
- 24:40Speaker 1: we could see Trump's liberty FI finance come into this. Now,
- 24:45Speaker 1: remember they're very pro ethereum right now, but it's possible.
- 24:51Speaker 1: I mean, what if we could see them roll into this.
- 24:53Speaker 1: What kind of impact do you think that would have?
- 24:56Speaker 2: Well, the x RAF side chain in general is going
- 24:59Speaker 2: to be a very interesting use case for the XRP
- 25:02Speaker 2: ledger because it square as one of Ethereum's biggest issues,
- 25:05Speaker 2: which is like, hey, like, we want all this functionality,
- 25:08Speaker 2: we want people to do whatever they want, but it
- 25:11Speaker 2: congest the chain, and having an XRP side chain allows
- 25:14Speaker 2: you to add the full functionality people would want in
- 25:17Speaker 2: order to build whatever they need, but still have the
- 25:20Speaker 2: speed and efficiency safeguarded of the XRP ledger. So in
- 25:24Speaker 2: my opinion, it was a really smart way to build
- 25:27Speaker 2: this out, Like rather than having all the experimentation and
- 25:31Speaker 2: all these different things that might or might not work,
- 25:34Speaker 2: might be used, might not be built directly on mainchain
- 25:37Speaker 2: and bogging it down, like, hey, go build this in
- 25:40Speaker 2: a side chain environment. There'll be a bridge in order
- 25:43Speaker 2: to access liquidity back and forth. You as an end
- 25:46Speaker 2: user might not even have to know if you're interacting
- 25:49Speaker 2: with mainchain or side chain. And then if there's such
- 25:51Speaker 2: a good feature set on this side chain that everyone
- 25:55Speaker 2: agrees unilaterally should be on mainchain, then you can take
- 25:59Speaker 2: that through the amendment process and put it directly into
- 26:02Speaker 2: the XRP ledger mainchain.
- 26:04Speaker 3: So it's really cool.
- 26:05Speaker 2: It kind of separates out that instance you have where
- 26:08Speaker 2: builders need super customizable code but want to be able
- 26:11Speaker 2: to build in the XRP ledger environment.
- 26:14Speaker 3: You can do that on the VM side chain.
- 26:16Speaker 2: But also if you have such a good idea and
- 26:19Speaker 2: it's such a good proposition that everyone agrees that that
- 26:23Speaker 2: should be added to mainchain, you could push it through
- 26:25Speaker 2: the amendment process, just like we've seen with clawbacks, the
- 26:29Speaker 2: AMM and all these other things, and get that onto
- 26:31Speaker 2: the core ledger.
- 26:32Speaker 3: So I actually love this.
- 26:33Speaker 2: I think a lot of people think they want something
- 26:37Speaker 2: and think it would be a really good use case,
- 26:39Speaker 2: but it's hard to actually forecast user activity. So being
- 26:42Speaker 2: able to bring this onto the side chain, not slow
- 26:45Speaker 2: down the mainchain, test it and then push it to
- 26:47Speaker 2: mainchain if applicable, or just keep it in the side chain,
- 26:50Speaker 2: I think it's a great way to square that. And
- 26:53Speaker 2: people like Liberty Financial, I would love to see them
- 26:55Speaker 2: coming over and just getting access to a faster, slicker,
- 26:58Speaker 2: cleaner ecosystem in order to run their business on. I
- 27:02Speaker 2: think going you compare the speed, when you compare the efficiency,
- 27:05Speaker 2: when you compare the functionality of the XRP ledger, especially
- 27:08Speaker 2: with the EVM side chain, i think it's going to
- 27:10Speaker 2: become a more and more obvious obvious place for them
- 27:15Speaker 2: to be able to run their business.
- 27:17Speaker 1: Well, if you look at other tokens that have that
- 27:20Speaker 1: have done EVM side chains, you just look at Flow,
- 27:23Speaker 1: I mean what they what happened with Flow in terms
- 27:26Speaker 1: of its overall value really started to skyrocket. So that
- 27:30Speaker 1: mean in terms of a strategy being used, that's kind
- 27:33Speaker 1: of a comparison and that has been very effective in
- 27:37Speaker 1: terms of its performance. I want to jump over to
- 27:40Speaker 1: RL USD because if you look at the current tracking
- 27:44Speaker 1: of stable coin metrics, Ethereum is still kind of holding
- 27:48Speaker 1: the top position here obviously as the kingpin. But when
- 27:53Speaker 1: you look at XRP Ledger, it's starting to hold in
- 27:56Speaker 1: as well. But do you feel like USD would be
- 28:00Speaker 1: more efficient on the eth ecosystem then on the XRPL
- 28:06Speaker 1: leisure ecosystem? What are your thoughts?
- 28:09Speaker 3: No, I think it depends on what you're trying to do.
- 28:11Speaker 2: If you're trying to do a payment and you're trying
- 28:13Speaker 2: to use it as like a hey, I need to
- 28:15Speaker 2: move money from point A to point B, then it
- 28:18Speaker 2: obviously makes no sense to be doing it on the
- 28:20Speaker 2: Ethereum ecosystem. It's a mess to do it over there.
- 28:23Speaker 2: But if you're looking to do DeFi related activities, I
- 28:26Speaker 2: mean right now, when it comes to liquidity and volume,
- 28:30Speaker 2: Ethereum is still by far the leader in most things DeFi.
- 28:33Speaker 2: So if you're just looking for a dollar denominated unit
- 28:36Speaker 2: to participate in DeFi, well, right now, a lot of
- 28:39Speaker 2: those big protocols are still hosted on Ethereum, And therefore,
- 28:43Speaker 2: if you want a trusted stable coin and you want
- 28:45Speaker 2: to use ro o USD, then Ethereum makes a ton
- 28:47Speaker 2: of sense. But if you're just using the zap money
- 28:49Speaker 2: back and forth and using more as a payment scheme,
- 28:53Speaker 2: or when we see Hidden Road build out a lot
- 28:55Speaker 2: of their prime brokerage services and you need collateral backing
- 28:59Speaker 2: a lot of those positions, that's kind of the interesting
- 29:03Speaker 2: point where it's like, okay, well you have native native
- 29:06Speaker 2: DeFi right, just like crypto native DeFi experience over here
- 29:10Speaker 2: on ethereum.
- 29:11Speaker 3: But if you could build out a more.
- 29:13Speaker 2: Institutional trad FI DeFi environment with Hidden Road, maybe you
- 29:18Speaker 2: actually see an even larger use case for a more
- 29:22Speaker 2: of a professional structured DeFi environment right happening on chain
- 29:27Speaker 2: in a decentralized way. But maybe you still have counterparties
- 29:31Speaker 2: mixed in here or there. When it comes to the
- 29:33Speaker 2: issuance of assets. Maybe not everything's done by a smart contract.
- 29:37Speaker 2: Maybe there is kind of a more manual prime broker
- 29:40Speaker 2: that sits in there clearing trades as well. It's just
- 29:42Speaker 2: a very interesting idea because that's what Ripple's trying to
- 29:46Speaker 2: build out with Hidden Road on the back end in
- 29:48Speaker 2: terms of settling on the XRP ledger. RLUSD comes in
- 29:52Speaker 2: as liquidity on some of those trades. Suddenly you have
- 29:56Speaker 2: like a brand new cryptocurrency prime broker, the XRP ledger
- 30:01Speaker 2: and Hidden Roads pushing something like I saw six trillion annually.
- 30:05Speaker 2: That's the kind of thing that could take this whole
- 30:08Speaker 2: DeFi environmentally right now and flipping.
- 30:10Speaker 1: On his head, well, speaking of DeFi, you look at
- 30:14Speaker 1: Doppler Finance and the comparison right now. This is just
- 30:17Speaker 1: in the dollar value right here as you can kind
- 30:20Speaker 1: of see the comparison. But do you feel like when
- 30:24Speaker 1: you just think about DeFi in general on XRP, do
- 30:28Speaker 1: you feel like this is growing stalled? What do you
- 30:32Speaker 1: feel like needs to happen for this to really kind
- 30:34Speaker 1: of become a think.
- 30:36Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a really interesting question, and I think there's
- 30:39Speaker 2: two things people are having a hard time squaring and
- 30:42Speaker 2: that's that. Look, a lot of people want DeFi, right,
- 30:45Speaker 2: but like in my perspective, they want something that doesn't exist,
- 30:51Speaker 2: Like there is DeFi on the XRP ledger with like
- 30:55Speaker 2: amms and stuff like that. But the thing that people
- 30:57Speaker 2: miss is like these are tools, not structured products, and
- 31:01Speaker 2: a lot of people want structured products. Like a lot
- 31:04Speaker 2: of people want to be involved in DeFi, but don't
- 31:07Speaker 2: want to be the manager behind the DeFi strategy they
- 31:13Speaker 2: might be running. So a lot of people really what
- 31:15Speaker 2: they are looking for is a way to take tokens,
- 31:18Speaker 2: put them with someone, and have some return created on them. Now,
- 31:23Speaker 2: whether that's done with all smart contracts, or you have
- 31:26Speaker 2: a fund that is doing it, or you have some
- 31:29Speaker 2: professional DeFi manager running a specific strategy in which you
- 31:32Speaker 2: put your tokens into. That's where I see the future
- 31:36Speaker 2: headed a lot more than some magic protocol that creates yield.
- 31:40Speaker 2: Could that exist, absolutely, but I still I question whether
- 31:46Speaker 2: how sustainable some of the protocols out there today are
- 31:51Speaker 2: going to be in five to ten years. A lot
- 31:54Speaker 2: of what you look at is yield farming, in which
- 31:57Speaker 2: a token's kind of just being printed, and then that
- 32:01Speaker 2: printed token is obviously inflating, and that's what you're getting
- 32:03Speaker 2: the reward from. And not everything is like that. But
- 32:06Speaker 2: the future I see is like, hey, you're working with
- 32:11Speaker 2: an investment team. You are able to get allocated to
- 32:15Speaker 2: some kind of fund. It's one of the things we've
- 32:18Speaker 2: already done where you can put XRP in kind and
- 32:21Speaker 2: you actually have investment professionals on the back end able
- 32:25Speaker 2: to run a tailored strategy for you where you know,
- 32:29Speaker 2: you're not watching the liquidity pool ratios, You're not constantly
- 32:33Speaker 2: looking to see, Okay, well this asset just moved against
- 32:36Speaker 2: this other asset, Therefore I have to get out of
- 32:38Speaker 2: this pool. So I think a lot of people are
- 32:40Speaker 2: going to DeFi looking for some kind of structured product
- 32:45Speaker 2: where they can just put tokens and forget about it.
- 32:47Speaker 2: And that's sort of the thing in the equation that's missing,
- 32:51Speaker 2: because the future I see is there will be people
- 32:54Speaker 2: who are experts at that, but those people right are
- 32:57Speaker 2: going to be very into the we of like running
- 33:01Speaker 2: strategies and running these specific things. And I don't think
- 33:04Speaker 2: your average user is really looking to spend all day
- 33:07Speaker 2: going and sifting through all these different pools and stuff.
- 33:10Speaker 2: So I do think the future of DeFi is going
- 33:12Speaker 2: to be a mix of both the tools on chain,
- 33:16Speaker 2: but for now a human element of actually running the
- 33:20Speaker 2: specific strategies using these on chain tools.
- 33:23Speaker 1: Yeah. I probably would agree with that, because I think
- 33:26Speaker 1: you're exactly right. Getting into DeFi is going to take
- 33:28Speaker 1: some time for other than the crypto natives that really
- 33:33Speaker 1: understand what's happening within DeFi to get it mainstream. I
- 33:37Speaker 1: think is the is the question. Let's talk about r
- 33:40Speaker 1: l USD for a second. If you if you look
- 33:42Speaker 1: at USDG this of course available on Robinhood packs or Kraken. Yeah,
- 33:47Speaker 1: Cracking's got it too. You can see pretty consistent up down,
- 33:51Speaker 1: you know, kind of sidestepping in growth overall. But if
- 33:55Speaker 1: you compare r l USD, we've had kind of a
- 33:58Speaker 1: plateau occur. Explain to me, Connor, why do you think
- 34:02Speaker 1: this is happening with what should be, in my opinion,
- 34:05Speaker 1: one of the most popular stable coins out there.
- 34:09Speaker 2: Yeah, no, it's it's an interesting question. So I think
- 34:12Speaker 2: there's a little bit of two parts of it. I
- 34:15Speaker 2: think the biggest thing right now in terms of rl
- 34:19Speaker 2: USD growth is obviously larger exchange integration in terms of
- 34:25Speaker 2: more people being able to purchase that on their more
- 34:29Speaker 2: traditional kind of exchanges. Obviously we have that available on Uphold,
- 34:33Speaker 2: which is great, but Coinbase would obviously be another big
- 34:37Speaker 2: step forward there. And then the other thing is is like, okay,
- 34:40Speaker 2: so there's two people really using stable coins. One of
- 34:43Speaker 2: those people is Ripple for payments, and the other side
- 34:47Speaker 2: is people are using these things as collateral in different
- 34:50Speaker 2: DFI protocols in order to get rl us D, especially
- 34:54Speaker 2: the Etherium version listed on a lot of these different
- 34:57Speaker 2: DeFi protocols. It's happening, but it's a little bit of
- 35:01Speaker 2: a cycle that needs to take place. Right you need
- 35:03Speaker 2: to get listed, you have to build up liquidity in
- 35:05Speaker 2: the pairing that you have to have incentives for people
- 35:07Speaker 2: to come in and take advantage of that pairing. So
- 35:10Speaker 2: I think in terms of the more DeFi ecosystem level,
- 35:13Speaker 2: there's going to be quite a bit of a build
- 35:16Speaker 2: out and an incentive piece that's going to allow people
- 35:20Speaker 2: to start getting comfortable using it. I think that changes
- 35:23Speaker 2: in one big way when you start to see actual
- 35:26Speaker 2: large financial institutions getting involved in this asset class. Their
- 35:31Speaker 2: decision making process is going to be a lot different
- 35:34Speaker 2: than end retail users. Compliance is going to be of
- 35:37Speaker 2: the utmost importance and is so as handholding. And I
- 35:40Speaker 2: think that's where Ripple plays a very interesting role in
- 35:43Speaker 2: this entire thing, where they're able to build out a
- 35:46Speaker 2: lot of these structured products starting from custody, going to payments,
- 35:50Speaker 2: going to prime broker services, all on the backs of ROLUSD.
- 35:55Speaker 2: So I think right now we're kind of in niche
- 35:57Speaker 2: retail adoption of defying. Where we're headed is large institutional
- 36:03Speaker 2: DeFi on a wholesale kind of level, and that's where
- 36:06Speaker 2: I think r l us D and Ripple are going
- 36:09Speaker 2: to play a very important role. I just think we're
- 36:11Speaker 2: a lot earlier to that adoption cycle than you're going
- 36:15Speaker 2: to see for more of retail can figure out whatever
- 36:18Speaker 2: they can do with these assets.
- 36:20Speaker 1: Yeah, let's get into the last couple of questions I
- 36:22Speaker 1: want to hit on. One is the future Verse. Obviously
- 36:25Speaker 1: their acquisition of Candy Digital all of this, because it
- 36:29Speaker 1: gets into a ton of IP there. You've got MLB, Netflix,
- 36:33Speaker 1: you know, WWE, Nascar, all that, Dcent comics even are
- 36:37Speaker 1: available now. So that's future verse is an ecosystem that
- 36:42Speaker 1: is fueled by Ripple, by XRP in essence So what
- 36:46Speaker 1: are your thoughts on that. Do you feel like this
- 36:48Speaker 1: is is a huge deal or do you feel like
- 36:51Speaker 1: at some point we're going to see some pretty amazing,
- 36:54Speaker 1: you know, solutions. I'm just looking at right here at
- 36:58Speaker 1: candy dot Io you can kind of see all this.
- 37:00Speaker 1: I'm just amazed that this is now available within the
- 37:03Speaker 1: Future Verse platform. What do your thoughts?
- 37:05Speaker 2: No, that's really cool, And to be completely honest with you,
- 37:08Speaker 2: I actually didn't even know that acquisition took place. I
- 37:11Speaker 2: will say one thing about gaming in Future Verse. It's
- 37:15Speaker 2: it's an all or nothing sort of thing for me
- 37:18Speaker 2: when it comes down to success. Like I'll tell you,
- 37:21Speaker 2: as someone who used to be pretty avid into playing
- 37:24Speaker 2: video games and stuff like, there's so many video games
- 37:27Speaker 2: you'd go play and you get on and you're like,
- 37:29Speaker 2: this looks like the dumbest game ever. This is never
- 37:31Speaker 2: gonna like blow up. And then this game like even
- 37:34Speaker 2: like I remember when Fortnite launched or Rocket League, like
- 37:37Speaker 2: these games that seem so silly end up taking off.
- 37:40Speaker 2: And then you see these other games that are intricately
- 37:42Speaker 2: built and so complex, right, and no one plays them.
- 37:45Speaker 2: They don't get a single user. So I think that's
- 37:47Speaker 2: a little bit of one of the tough things for
- 37:49Speaker 2: me when it comes to the metaverse, like the Future Verse,
- 37:52Speaker 2: not that I don't think they're doing an outstanding job,
- 37:55Speaker 2: which they absolutely are, but just figuring out right, like
- 37:58Speaker 2: what's gonna be that thing to cause those users to
- 38:01Speaker 2: come flooding in, because, in my opinion, is very unpredictable.
- 38:05Speaker 2: That's been one of the biggest problems with a lot
- 38:07Speaker 2: of the crypto gaming sector so far. It's like, Okay,
- 38:11Speaker 2: we built all these things, but to get people to
- 38:14Speaker 2: come use it, it sometimes doesn't really make a lot
- 38:17Speaker 2: of sense forward looking on what people are going to
- 38:20Speaker 2: enjoy and have fun with. So I certainly think they're
- 38:23Speaker 2: doing an excellent job and been monitoring the progress. I
- 38:26Speaker 2: think they're giving themselves an excellent chance to garner that
- 38:29Speaker 2: mass adoption. I think this is a great example of it.
- 38:32Speaker 2: But it's one of those things that continually amazes me
- 38:35Speaker 2: what humans in general tend to latch onto when it
- 38:37Speaker 2: comes to their form of entertainment.
- 38:39Speaker 1: And let's not forget that Future Verse had their proposal
- 38:42Speaker 1: approved on upgrades on the Render network as well, so
- 38:46Speaker 1: this is all leaning into a very positive play for
- 38:52Speaker 1: Future Verse for sure.
- 38:53Speaker 2: Hey, I think they're doing a great job of branching
- 38:55Speaker 2: out sideways and rather than only trying to get people
- 38:59Speaker 2: in the ex RP ecosystem up, really spreading out and
- 39:03Speaker 2: bringing more people into the x RP ecosystem by leveraging
- 39:08Speaker 2: different channels.
- 39:09Speaker 3: And I think this is an outstanding example of that.
- 39:12Speaker 1: Connor, what do you think is gonna happen at the
- 39:14Speaker 1: Vegas event? You've got XRP Las Vegas coming around the corner.
- 39:17Speaker 1: It's possible. Are you gonna be there, by the.
- 39:18Speaker 2: Way, Oh yeah, I'll absolutely be there. I went last
- 39:22Speaker 2: year as a blast yourself.
- 39:24Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, I'm gonna be there. So we're going to
- 39:27Speaker 1: be actually doing some sessions and also recording a couple
- 39:31Speaker 1: of questions. Though, do you think I know David Schwartz
- 39:33Speaker 1: is speaking there. I don't know if Gardener House has
- 39:35Speaker 1: said that he's going to show up or not. But
- 39:37Speaker 1: do you think Ripple will announce anything at this event?
- 39:42Speaker 2: I think it's very possible they do announce something. Now,
- 39:45Speaker 2: in terms of what they announced, I have no idea.
- 39:48Speaker 2: I know last year it was kind of right around
- 39:51Speaker 2: when ROUSD was first becoming a thing, and that's what
- 39:55Speaker 2: they announced there. I also do know there is a
- 39:58Speaker 2: lot of smaller announcement in terms of the case and
- 40:03Speaker 2: just like a lot more of an intricate look at
- 40:05Speaker 2: everything moving on the back end. I do think there
- 40:09Speaker 2: probably will be an announcement of some sort, but what
- 40:12Speaker 2: exactly that is, I'm not sure. My guess would be
- 40:15Speaker 2: something around hidden Road and something they're planning on doing
- 40:19Speaker 2: or something of that magnitude, but I'm not entirely sure.
- 40:24Speaker 2: I'm really excited to see what potentially we'll be talked about.
- 40:28Speaker 1: Well, guys, it's going to be a big event. It's
- 40:30Speaker 1: happening in about a month, about a month and a half,
- 40:32Speaker 1: I guess now. It's the end of May out in
- 40:35Speaker 1: Las Vegas during the Bitcoin week. Light Coin is going
- 40:37Speaker 1: to have an event that same week, so a lot
- 40:40Speaker 1: of people will be there. So this would be the
- 40:42Speaker 1: time to do something big if you were a project
- 40:47Speaker 1: and or an organization that wanted to get a lot
- 40:48Speaker 1: of splash. For sure. Connor, it's been great having you
- 40:51Speaker 1: on today, man, thank you so much for coming in.
- 40:54Speaker 1: We appreciate it.
- 40:55Speaker 3: Yeah, no, thank you so much for having me.
- 40:57Speaker 2: I feel like this was long overdue and always a
- 40:59Speaker 2: big fan of everything you're doing and helping out the
- 41:01Speaker 2: XRP ecosystem. So happy to come on. I had a
- 41:04Speaker 2: blast and looking forward to doing it again soon.
