- 1:53Don Armstrong: Side airbags may not deploy properly.
- 1:55Don Armstrong: Jeep Grand Cherokee.
- 1:57Don Armstrong: That would be for your models 22 through 26.

- 2:24Don Armstrong: No, sorry.
- 2:25Don Armstrong: Airbags may deploy unintentionally during a crash.
- 2:30unknown: What?
- 2:31Don Armstrong: Wait a minute.
- 2:31Don Armstrong: I thought you wanted to deploy in a crash.
- 2:32Don Armstrong: You would think you would, but it could be a low-speed crash.
- 2:35Don Armstrong: Pretty much every Acura and Honda known to God 2017 through 2026, and some models go to safercar.gov to get them.
- 2:46Don Armstrong: I mean, it's a whole big long list.
- 2:50Don Armstrong: So those are the recalls.
- 2:52Don Armstrong: Okay, let's get to some fun stuff.
- 2:53Jeff Dziekan: Well, I didn't hear anything about Ford.
- 2:54Jeff Dziekan: I knew that there's two Ford recalls coming out.
- 2:56Jeff Dziekan: Bronco, and then you got one Bronco with uh something with a ball joint.
- 3:00Jeff Dziekan: I think that's on the escape in the ball.
- 3:02Don Armstrong: Well, I don't have it in this week.
- 3:03Don Armstrong: It could be next week's, or it could have been already.
- 3:06Jeff Dziekan: Maybe it came to me in a dream.
- 3:07Jeff Dziekan: I don't know.
- 3:07Don Armstrong: Well, that and that's possible.
- 3:09Jeff Dziekan: Yeah.
- 3:10Don Armstrong: All the stuff that you did back in the 70s.
- 3:13Don Armstrong: Yeah, I know.
- 3:14Don Armstrong: All right.
- 3:14Don Armstrong: There's still two.
- 3:15Don Armstrong: So here's the way here's the way this works.
- 3:17Don Armstrong: Hemings has an auction, an online auction every week.
- 3:22Don Armstrong: Yep.
- 3:23Don Armstrong: It actually is an ongoing thing, but uh these are the cars that sold this week.
- 3:28Don Armstrong: And so it's up to you to kind of guess with us what that sold car sold for.
- 3:36Don Armstrong: Okay?
- 3:37Jeff Dziekan: Based on the description you give on the notes you have.
- 3:39Don Armstrong: And I think Mr.
- 3:40Don Armstrong: Morris has some pictures.
- 3:41Don Armstrong: I think he certainly does.
- 3:42Don Armstrong: Okay.
- 3:43Don Armstrong: So let's get to the very first one.
- 3:45Don Armstrong: Jeff, this is for you.
- 3:46Don Armstrong: Okay.
- 3:46Don Armstrong: This is a 1957 Cadillac El Dorado.
- 3:51Don Armstrong: Oh my lord.
- 3:52Don Armstrong: And it is awesome.
- 3:54Don Armstrong: I'd love to have this car.
- 3:56Don Armstrong: Dagmar's in the front, white white's got custom wheels on it.
- 4:00Don Armstrong: I wouldn't want that.
- 4:00Don Armstrong: I want to get it.
- 4:01Mike Marrs: Look at that rear end.
- 4:02Don Armstrong: I'm looking at the rear end.
- 4:04Don Armstrong: Don't I always?
- 4:05Don Armstrong: It's hot, man.
- 4:06Don Armstrong: And the car, too.
- 4:07Don Armstrong: Yeah.
- 4:08Don Armstrong: So how much do you think that that 57 El Dorado sold for?
- 4:12Jeff Dziekan: I'm gonna go, I'm gonna say$70,000.
- 4:15Don Armstrong: $70,000.
- 4:16Don Armstrong: Who's joining us today in the bidding process?
- 4:18Don Armstrong: They're in the process of getting it.
- 4:21Don Armstrong: They've got their bidding paddles ready.
- 4:23Don Armstrong: Bidding paddles are ready.
- 4:24Jeff Dziekan: So let's see what says$18,999.
- 4:28Jeff Dziekan: George.
- 4:29Don Armstrong: Jeffrey says$55.
- 4:31Don Armstrong: Jeffrey says$55?
- 4:32Don Armstrong: Yeah.
- 4:33Mike Marrs: Yeah, and I don't see the LUT, so I'm I'm guessing that this is probably it.
- 4:37Don Armstrong: So it sold for$50, oh,$400.
- 4:41Don Armstrong: $50,400 worth of pillars.
- 4:43Don Armstrong: So we're going to kind of stay within that time frame.
- 4:46Don Armstrong: About 10 years later.
- 4:48Don Armstrong: How about the price?
- 4:49Don Armstrong: Can we stay in that price range?
- 4:51Don Armstrong: Um okay.
- 4:52Don Armstrong: We'll we'll try to do that.
- 4:54Don Armstrong: Next up is the 1967 Chevy Corvette convertible with uh some side pipes on it.
- 5:00Don Armstrong: And um it may have are those knockoffs or are they just aluminum wheels?
- 5:07Don Armstrong: I think they're aluminum.
- 5:08Don Armstrong: Whatever.
- 5:08Don Armstrong: They it that looks like factory stuff.
- 5:10Don Armstrong: How much did that 67 Chevy Corvette convertible with the side pipes go for?
- 5:14Jeff Dziekan: Oh gosh, I'm guessing I'm gonna go 45.
- 5:18Jeff Dziekan: 45.
- 5:19Mike Marrs: I I should tell you that it does have a 350 horse 327 factory motor, numbers matching manual force speed with it.
- 5:28Don Armstrong: Oh, well now you give the details.
- 5:30Don Armstrong: Well, okay, you can you you still have time to change your bid.
- 5:33Don Armstrong: No, I'll I'll stay with it.
- 5:34Jeff Dziekan: What'd you say?
- 5:35Jeff Dziekan: I remember.
- 5:39Don Armstrong: All right.
- 5:40Don Armstrong: And uh Jeff Heitzman says 60.
- 5:44Don Armstrong: Uh huh.
- 5:44Mike Marrs: Let me see.
- 5:45Mike Marrs: What's George popped in here with?
- 5:47Mike Marrs: 24,999.
- 5:49Mike Marrs: George.
- 5:50Don Armstrong: Really?
- 5:51Don Armstrong: Um no, it sold for$75,600.
- 5:54Jeff Dziekan: Well, I said$70, yeah.
- 5:56Don Armstrong: Okay.
- 5:56Jeff Dziekan: No, I didn't.
- 5:58Don Armstrong: Whatever.
- 6:00Don Armstrong: Next up, every man's car.
- 6:02Don Armstrong: A 1999 two-door Chevy Tahoe.
- 6:06Don Armstrong: Yes, they did make two-doors back in the day.
- 6:08Don Armstrong: 99 Chevy Tahoe.
- 6:10Don Armstrong: I like the looks of it.
- 6:12Don Armstrong: It looks nice.
- 6:13Jeff Dziekan: Yeah, clean.
- 6:14Jeff Dziekan: Yeah.
- 6:15Don Armstrong: Yes, very clean look.
- 6:16Don Armstrong: Looks tough, looks uh rugged, but yet so delicate.
- 6:20Don Armstrong: Yeah, and uh, and the vehicle itself is very clean.
- 6:23Don Armstrong: Delicate.
- 6:24Don Armstrong: Look, they even got the window sticker.
- 6:26Jeff Dziekan: I'm gonna go 12 grand.
- 6:28Jeff Dziekan: That's all?
- 6:28Jeff Dziekan: Yeah.
- 6:29SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 6:30Jeff Dziekan: Jeff says now you now you're making me down myself.
- 6:32Jeff Dziekan: You know the price, so don't don't don't don't Jeff says 12.
- 6:37Don Armstrong: George says$15.99.
- 6:39Don Armstrong: $15,999.
- 6:40Don Armstrong: And Mr.
- 6:41Don Armstrong: Heitzman says where'd he go?
- 6:44Mike Marrs: Come back, come back.
- 6:46Don Armstrong: $35.
- 6:47Don Armstrong: It's sold for$27,$825.
- 6:51Don Armstrong: Okay.
- 6:52Don Armstrong: That's a little pricey for me, but yeah, okay.
- 6:55Don Armstrong: All right, next up, and I picked this because I had a Land Rover recently.
- 6:59Don Armstrong: Here's a 1979 Land Rover Series 3.
- 7:04Don Armstrong: Now, I don't quite understand why somebody would be attracted to something that ugly.
- 7:10Don Armstrong: The Queen had many of them.
- 7:12Don Armstrong: Well, there you go.
- 7:13Don Armstrong: And look at the Queen.
- 7:14Don Armstrong: She's dead.
- 7:15Don Armstrong: 79 Land Rover Series 3.
- 7:17Don Armstrong: Well, how much do you think that thing went for?
- 7:19Don Armstrong: Get out of the truck and put it in the four-wheel drive.
- 7:22Don Armstrong: It's got locking hubs on it.
- 7:24Mike Marrs: Yeah, yeah.
- 7:24Mike Marrs: And if you quickly look at the back of it, it looks like the short bus.
- 7:28unknown: Yeah.
- 7:29Don Armstrong: Uh 27.
- 7:31Don Armstrong: Jeff says 27.
- 7:33Don Armstrong: Jeff Seeking.
- 7:34Don Armstrong: Uh George says 99.
- 7:37Don Armstrong: Thank you, George.
- 7:38Don Armstrong: Yes, I agree.
- 7:40Don Armstrong: I wouldn't even break a$1,000 thing for that.
- 7:44Don Armstrong: And then uh Mr.
- 7:44Don Armstrong: Heitzman says$26.
- 7:46Don Armstrong: Well, it sold for$23,000.
- 7:49Don Armstrong: All right.
- 7:50Don Armstrong: I guess you gotta really like that thing.
- 7:52Don Armstrong: I'll flip it.
- 7:53Don Armstrong: Now, this is something that I would buy because my dad had a 55.
- 7:57Don Armstrong: It's a 55 Buick Super.
- 8:00Jeff Dziekan: Yeah.
- 8:00Don Armstrong: Uh yeah.
- 8:02Don Armstrong: What we called a four-holder back in the day.
- 8:06Don Armstrong: Uh 55 Buick Super.
- 8:08Don Armstrong: And uh this is a two-door uh and it is a hardtop.
- 8:14Don Armstrong: Well, that's good looking.
- 8:15Jeff Dziekan: Yeah.
- 8:15Jeff Dziekan: Uh looks like a combination.
- 8:18Jeff Dziekan: How much?
- 8:19Jeff Dziekan: Uh sea foam green, white, four-holder.
- 8:22Jeff Dziekan: I'm gonna go twenty-seven.
- 8:24Jeff Dziekan: Twenty-seven?
- 8:25Jeff Dziekan: Huh, okay.
- 8:27Don Armstrong: That's good.
- 8:28Don Armstrong: Forty for Jeffrey.
- 8:29Don Armstrong: Forty for Jeffrey.
- 8:34Don Armstrong: And Mr.
- 8:35Don Armstrong: Heitzman says Jeff says.
- 8:37Don Armstrong: Oh, that's it.
- 8:38Don Armstrong: I'm sorry.
- 8:38Don Armstrong: Uh George Skelton says, anything?
- 8:40Don Armstrong: Does he give us anything?
- 8:42Don Armstrong: Is that a nail head?
- 8:43Mike Marrs: He's having to do some serious thinking about it.
- 8:45Mike Marrs: 1799.
- 8:46Mike Marrs: Does it run?
- 8:47Mike Marrs: Does it run?
- 8:48Mike Marrs: Yeah.
- 8:48Mike Marrs: By the way, it only has 41,000 miles on it in the last 50 years has been the same owner.
- 8:54Jeff Dziekan: Oh my.
- 8:55Jeff Dziekan: George, it'll run forever.
- 8:56Jeff Dziekan: It's a Buick.
- 8:57Jeff Dziekan: It is a Buick.
- 8:58Jeff Dziekan: That's it.
- 8:59Don Armstrong: Uh it's actually sold for$26,250.
- 9:02Jeff Dziekan: Hey, I'm right on there.
- 9:03Jeff Dziekan: I know my Buick's.
- 9:04Jeff Dziekan: Yep.
- 9:05Jeff Dziekan: Especially my four holders.
- 9:07Don Armstrong: Okay, this one here is interesting.
- 9:10Don Armstrong: Uh, and I'm not sure who I would put in this.
- 9:13Don Armstrong: Perhaps as a parade car for George Skelton.
- 9:15Don Armstrong: Oh, I like it.
- 9:16Don Armstrong: 1968 Ford Galaxy.
- 9:19Don Armstrong: Now, you know, it kind of lost its panache in 68.
- 9:23Don Armstrong: It just wasn't quite there for me.
- 9:26Don Armstrong: It just looks big and heavy, and the original Ford Galaxy wasn't that way.
- 9:31Don Armstrong: 68 Ford Galaxy, how much?
- 9:32Don Armstrong: For the convertible?
- 9:33Jeff Dziekan: I'm going to give you a range.
- 9:34Jeff Dziekan: I'm going to go between eight and nine.
- 9:36Jeff Dziekan: Eight, okay.
- 9:38Jeff Dziekan: In that area.
- 9:39Jeff Dziekan: All right.
- 9:41Mike Marrs: Yeah.
- 9:42Mike Marrs: I think we're we're still having to look at it.
- 9:44Mike Marrs: I will tell you it's one of 6,066 made like that.
- 9:48Mike Marrs: Well.
- 9:48Mike Marrs: But like you say, it much like the Chevrolets of that era, they were all big and bulky and heavy and they just didn't have a lot of style to them, where the original Galaxy did.
- 9:59Don Armstrong: So this particular 68 Ford Galaxy convertible sold for uh Jeff says 32.
- 10:06Don Armstrong: So it sold for$1,2863.
- 10:08Don Armstrong: Like I said, this is going to be a per Art Grindle.
- 10:12Don Armstrong: Art Grindle Dodge on OST.
- 10:15Don Armstrong: Yes, I do remember him jumping up and down the cars.
- 10:18Don Armstrong: And the cars that he couldn't either get started or they stalled as they were running them through.
- 10:23Don Armstrong: This is on live television.
- 10:25SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 10:26Don Armstrong: He would uh have the guys that were driving the bushes get push it out of the way.
- 10:30Mike Marrs: Get it out of here.
- 10:31Mike Marrs: On live TV.
- 10:32Don Armstrong: On live television.
- 10:33Don Armstrong: All right, next up.
- 10:34Don Armstrong: Next up is the 1965 Shelby Cobra.
- 10:39Don Armstrong: Oh.
- 10:40Don Armstrong: Is it a replica?
- 10:41Don Armstrong: I think it's probably a replica because I'm just gonna say it's a replica.
- 10:47Jeff Dziekan: Okay.
- 10:47Don Armstrong: Okay.
- 10:48Don Armstrong: But it sure does look good.
- 10:50Don Armstrong: If you're into that sort of thing, um they're fast.
- 10:53Don Armstrong: Yeah.
- 10:54Don Armstrong: They got a big V8 underneath the head.
- 10:56Jeff Dziekan: A little dangerous.
- 10:56Jeff Dziekan: I'd go 60 grand on that danger.
- 10:58Don Armstrong: Yep.
- 10:59Don Armstrong: 60 grand.
- 11:00Don Armstrong: Okay.
- 11:00Don Armstrong: Heitzman says 60 grand.
- 11:02Don Armstrong: I'm sorry.
- 11:03Don Armstrong: Jeff Zeken says 60 grand.
- 11:05Don Armstrong: What does Heitzman say?
- 11:07Mike Marrs: Yeah, Heitzman's.
- 11:12Don Armstrong: George 24.
- 11:14Don Armstrong: Okay.
- 11:15Mike Marrs: Jeff.
- 11:16Don Armstrong: 48.
- 11:16Jeff Dziekan: And 48 for it's sold for 63,000.
- 11:19Jeff Dziekan: I'm getting better at this.
- 11:20Jeff Dziekan: I own two cars now.
- 11:23Jeff Dziekan: That's with TTNL.
- 11:25Jeff Dziekan: No, it's not.
- 11:26Mike Marrs: Yeah, it doesn't include destination.
- 11:28Don Armstrong: Yeah, that.
- 11:29Don Armstrong: Ooh, look at this.
- 11:29Don Armstrong: I like this.
- 11:30Don Armstrong: Okay, this is a 1933 Dodge.
- 11:34Don Armstrong: Now, now be honest with me.
- 11:37Don Armstrong: Would you really buy this vehicle?
- 11:40Don Armstrong: I mean, forget the price for just a moment.
- 11:42Don Armstrong: Do you are you attracted to that body stuff?
- 11:44Jeff Dziekan: I would have to do some things to it.
- 11:46Jeff Dziekan: Like what?
- 11:46Jeff Dziekan: I would change the wheels, one thing.
- 11:48Jeff Dziekan: I would probably, I don't know if I'd chop it.
- 11:51Jeff Dziekan: I'd have to look at it in person.
- 11:52Jeff Dziekan: I might chop it and lower it.
- 11:54Mike Marrs: I think I wouldn't like about it.
- 12:02Mike Marrs: To me, the cab area on this is a little more square, and I kind of like it a little more square like this.
- 12:08Don Armstrong: Yeah, I think I think that the wheels just don't do it justice.
- 12:11Mike Marrs: No, no, no.
- 12:12Mike Marrs: Wrong way.
- 12:12Don Armstrong: And it obviously does not have the stock engine in it.
- 12:15Jeff Dziekan: No.
- 12:15Jeff Dziekan: I wouldn't put any, you know, uh I'd modify the the engine, but I wouldn't put any velocity stacks or pipes on it or anything like that.
- 12:23Jeff Dziekan: No, nothing like that.
- 12:24Don Armstrong: No, I think that the wheels, I think the wheel change would uh change the whole outlook of the car.
- 12:28Don Armstrong: Maybe put a wing on the back on it.
- 12:29Don Armstrong: How much do you think that 33 Dodge sold for?
- 12:32Jeff Dziekan: Uh 33 Dodge, I'm gonna go 30, 32 grand.
- 12:37Jeff Dziekan: I'm gonna go 32.
- 12:39Don Armstrong: 32.
- 12:39Don Armstrong: George says 19,339.
- 12:44Don Armstrong: And then Jeff says$75,000.
- 12:47Don Armstrong: Well, it's all over the place on this, isn't it?
- 12:49SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 12:50Don Armstrong: So it's called a resto mod, is what it's called.
- 12:53Don Armstrong: Restored and modified.
- 12:55Don Armstrong: So it's sold for$33,600.
- 12:58Jeff Dziekan: All right.
- 13:00Don Armstrong: I guess.
- 13:01Jeff Dziekan: I got it.
- 13:02Jeff Dziekan: I will say this.
- 13:03Don Armstrong: As long as it's got as long as it's got AC in it, and you can roll up the windows and you can kind of isolate yourself.
- 13:10Don Armstrong: That's a given.
- 13:11Jeff Dziekan: Yeah, you'd have to.
- 13:12Mike Marrs: Well, not necessarily, but at that price range, I I think you would find air conditioning in there.
- 13:17Mike Marrs: I don't remember.
- 13:17Jeff Dziekan: Yeah, well, the point I'm if you're going to modify it, you would modify it to have air conditioning.
- 13:21Jeff Dziekan: Most definitely.
- 13:22Mike Marrs: Oh, absolutely.
- 13:23Mike Marrs: Yeah.
- 13:24Don Armstrong: But with if that's the case, and with the V8 engine, it's probably got an automatic transmission.
- 13:29Don Armstrong: Let's hope, yeah.
- 13:29Mike Marrs: Yeah, it's a column shift.
- 13:30Mike Marrs: If you can see it, you see it up there in the column shifts.
- 13:32Jeff Dziekan: Yeah.
- 13:33Jeff Dziekan: I would get rid of the billet dash.
- 13:34Jeff Dziekan: I'd put something else in there, make it more.
- 13:36Jeff Dziekan: Is there a billet?
- 13:37Jeff Dziekan: It looks like billet, doesn't it?
- 13:38Mike Marrs: Yeah, it's it's kind of stainless steel look, and there's switch covers and uh I'm like you.
- 13:44Mike Marrs: I'm that's not me.
- 13:45Don Armstrong: Yeah.
- 13:45Don Armstrong: Yeah, no, I I mean I like the whiteface gauges, but I'm not into the because that car originally had a painted dash.
- 13:53Jeff Dziekan: Would you put buckets or a bench in the front?
- 13:56Jeff Dziekan: There's not really a lot of whip.
- 13:57Don Armstrong: There's no there's not any room.
- 13:59Don Armstrong: I would I would put a bench in it with a nice center uh console fold-down armrest.
- 14:05Don Armstrong: So at least you could get a third person in there if you had to.
- 14:08Don Armstrong: But it's tight, man.
- 14:09Don Armstrong: I wouldn't think of it.
- 14:09Jeff Dziekan: It'd be a two-seater for me.
- 14:11Jeff Dziekan: I wouldn't put anything, maybe a few groceries or a you know, an overnight bag if you travel.
- 14:15Don Armstrong: But you got the rumble seat.
- 14:16Mike Marrs: Yeah, you got the trunk area back there.
- 14:18Don Armstrong: You could either have a rumble seat in there or make it into a trunk.
- 14:21Don Armstrong: What if a big wing on the back?
- 14:22unknown: Oh god.

- 17:21Don Armstrong: Or do what we do.
- 17:21Don Armstrong: We just sleep in our cars.
- 17:23Don Armstrong: We do not, nor will I.
- 17:26Don Armstrong: You can sleep in your car.
- 17:27Don Armstrong: I'm not sure.
- 17:28Mike Marrs: Well, he's got a Buick, though, so he gets right.
- 17:31Don Armstrong: Yeah, with the bed for the Corinthian plush and all that.
- 17:35Don Armstrong: All right.
- 17:35Don Armstrong: Some of the stories making auto news this week.
- 17:38Don Armstrong: U.S.
- 17:38Don Armstrong: auto sales are holding steady.
- 17:40Don Armstrong: Despite inflation hitting a three-year high and consumer confidence declining, a disconnect that has experts monitoring for signs the industry's luck may be running out.
- 17:51Don Armstrong: But while high gasoline prices, tariffs, trade instability, and war weigh on the economy, economists and other auto industry stakeholders say the auto industry sales figures may be relatively insulated from the chaos for the moment.
- 18:05Don Armstrong: I think that the American consumer is going to be doing what they do best, and that's spend money, says Patrick Manzi, NADA's chief economist, National Automobile Dealer Association guy.
- 18:18Don Armstrong: We're just in a unique industry here, and people love to buy cars, and I think that pretty much says it all.
- 18:25Don Armstrong: All right.
- 18:26Don Armstrong: This I thought was very interesting news.
- 18:28Don Armstrong: Again, coming out of the Stellantis thing.
- 18:32Don Armstrong: Fiat unveiled the first images of the Grizzly and the Grizzly Fastback SUVs, two new smaller models designed to expand the brand's global lineup.
- 18:43Don Armstrong: Both the Grizzly and Grizzly Fastback are set to reach global markets this year, with availability in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa in the second half of the year.
- 18:51Don Armstrong: Prices of the new models have not been revealed.
- 18:53Don Armstrong: However, the Citroen C3 Aircross sibling model with a hundred horsepower gasoline powertrain starts at 22,265 in Germany.
- 19:03Don Armstrong: Another sibling model, the Opel Frontera, starts in at about$30,540 in Germany.
- 19:13Don Armstrong: The Grizzly SUV will compete against the Renault Dasia Duster, a small SUV that starts in Germany at$21,885.
- 19:24Don Armstrong: Stellantis is expected to sell rebadged versions of the two Fiat models as Chryslers in the United States.
- 19:32Don Armstrong: Because I told you all along, you wait, they're going to bring back the Chrysler badge, and it may not be what it has been.
- 19:39Jeff Dziekan: Right.
- 19:39Jeff Dziekan: Now the Grizzly, wonder where they came that name, came up with the name in Germany.
- 19:43Don Armstrong: I don't know if they're Grizzly or Well, you know, it's going to be a global vehicle, so the Grizzly name may or may not be a tough vehicle or the Grizzly in the Chrysler lineup, I could understand that.
- 19:55Jeff Dziekan: And an opal.
- 19:56Jeff Dziekan: I don't is I'm interested to see what it looks like when it comes out.
- 19:59Jeff Dziekan: Yeah.
- 19:59Don Armstrong: Well, remember, those vehicles over there get a different look and a different name in the whole nine yards, but it goes down the same assembly line.
- 20:06Don Armstrong: Mitsubishi will enter the increasingly crowded U.S.
- 20:09Don Armstrong: mid-size pickup segment with a new truck sourced from Nissan as it tries to lift its sagging business by siphoning seals from the market leading Toyota Tacoma, Chevy, Colorado, and Ford Ranger.
- 20:22Don Armstrong: New entry will be built by Nissan at a U.S.
- 20:24Don Armstrong: factory, according to a per person familiar with the plan.
- 20:27Don Armstrong: Mitsubishi did not detail a launch timeline.
- 20:30Don Armstrong: But the Nissan Frontier mid-size pickup is expected to get a redesign around 2028 as part of Nissan's rollout of a new frame-based vehicle architecture that will underpin the Xterra SUV and other products that's built at its Canton, Mississippi plant.
- 20:47Don Armstrong: The pickup is part of Mitsubishi's three-pronged plan for reviving its U.S.
- 20:51Don Armstrong: operations, and all I can say is good luck.
- 20:56Mike Marrs: When was the last time you drove a Mitsubishi?
- 21:00Don Armstrong: Years ago.
- 21:02Don Armstrong: Actually, I will say this, and I'm lying.
- 21:05Don Armstrong: It was a rebadge, and I don't remember.
- 21:07Don Armstrong: Was it a Nissan SUV that they turned into a Mitsubishi?
- 21:11Don Armstrong: It was something like that.
- 21:12Don Armstrong: And it was actually pretty good because it wasn't something that they built.
- 21:16Don Armstrong: Somebody else built it.
- 21:19Don Armstrong: I just have never been a Mitsubishi fan.
- 21:22Don Armstrong: Anyway, I mean that's who bombed us and Pearl Harbor.
- 21:30Don Armstrong: I can't wait to try the sunbeam.
- 21:32Don Armstrong: The sunbeam, yeah.
- 21:34Don Armstrong: A Maryland mother's gift for her son's college graduation, an eighty thousand dollar Chevy Camaro was stolen twice in the span of five days.
- 21:46Don Armstrong: The second time, a thief posing as a technician boosted it from a dealership lot in the middle of the day.
- 21:52Don Armstrong: TV News report initially helped police recover the twenty twenty three Camaro Z L one.
- 21:58Don Armstrong: That's a twenty twenty three model, by the way.
- 22:00Don Armstrong: That's not a new one.
- 22:01Don Armstrong: Shortly after it was taken, May 25th, from behind Mimi Arnett's home in Beltsville, Maryland, a viewer who saw the report noticed the Camaro abandoned in a nearby city, and after it was possessed, processed for evidence, the car was towed to the Autonation dealership where Arnett and her son's father had bought it in January.
- 22:21Don Armstrong: And just two days later, an employee at the store called to say the Camaro is gone again.
- 22:26Mike Marrs: So somebody walked in and said, Hey, I I work here, so I'm taking this car and going to do something with it.
- 22:32Don Armstrong: She said, Ms.
- 22:32Don Armstrong: Arnett, where's the car?
- 22:34Don Armstrong: Arnett told News 4 Washington, I said, Excuse me?
- 22:37Don Armstrong: The car is with you guys.
- 22:38Don Armstrong: She said, We've checked the whole lot.
- 22:40Don Armstrong: The car's gone.
- 22:41Don Armstrong: It's been stolen again.
- 22:42Don Armstrong: My heart dropped.
- 22:44Don Armstrong: Another employee at the dealership unknowingly witnessed the second theft, Arnett said.
- 22:49Don Armstrong: The store didn't make anyone available for comment to News 4.
- 22:53Don Armstrong: News 4.
- 22:54Don Armstrong: Action News.
- 22:56Don Armstrong: He said, We thought it was a technician that was taking my son's car, pulling it out to go into the garage to start the inspection of the car.
- 23:04Don Armstrong: She said he said he'd actually seen the guy come onto the lot, get in the car, and drive it away.
- 23:13Jeff Dziekan: It's gone again, ladies and gentlemen.
- 23:15Jeff Dziekan: And you know, if you see it, report it.
- 23:17Jeff Dziekan: Yeah.
- 23:18Jeff Dziekan: Let us know.
- 23:19Jeff Dziekan: Or change the key fob or lock your door or something.
- 23:24Don Armstrong: Toyota posted slightly weaker sales in May on lower RAV4 volume and a slump in Lexus car deliveries.
- 23:31Don Armstrong: The Automaker sales slipped 0.6%.
- 23:35Don Armstrong: Not a lot, but that's a lot of money.
- 23:37Don Armstrong: With volume down slightly at the Toyota brand and 3.9% at Lexus.
- 23:41Don Armstrong: It was the company's third straight monthly decline.
- 23:44Don Armstrong: Sales of Toyota's top seller, the RAV 4, fell 26% as the Automaker preps four assembly plants to produce the redesigned compact crossover.
- 23:54Don Armstrong: So everybody knows it's coming, and they ain't buying the one that's currently out there.
- 23:59Don Armstrong: Deliveries of the Highlander and Grand Highlander crossovers among Toyota's other core light trucks were also weaker last month, offset by higher forerunner and pickup volume.
- 24:08Don Armstrong: Lexus's car sale slid 36% on weaker ES volume.
- 24:12Don Armstrong: Companies launching another redesigned ES sedan this year that'll be larger and available as a hybrid or an EV.
- 24:19Don Armstrong: That's why everybody's waiting.
- 24:20Don Armstrong: Overall, Toyota said its sales of electrified vehicles, most of them gasoline electric hybrids, rose 15% to just over 137,000 cars last month.
- 24:31Don Armstrong: That accounted for 57% of all sales up from 50% in May of 2025.
- 24:40Don Armstrong: Okay, and finally, dealership groups warned by the Federal Trade Commission about advertising practices had twice the number of customer review complaints about marketing and bait and switch behavior compared with the broader industry, according to a new wide whale study.
- 24:56Don Armstrong: The Review Analytics Company examined sixty-three of the ninety-seven dealerships and groups the FTC identified May 28th as recipients of the agency's March warning letters and compared their feedback with the rest of the industry in the first quarter.
- 25:10Don Armstrong: Findings suggest customer complaints can flag problematic practices before regulators act.
- 25:17Don Armstrong: So keep that in mind.
- 25:18Don Armstrong: Do your research on the dealer that you're thinking about using to buy your car from is the is the learned lesson there.
- 25:25Mike Marrs: Makes a big difference.
- 25:28Don Armstrong: So are you going up on Friday, Mr.
- 25:29Don Armstrong: Mars?
- 25:31Mike Marrs: I think I'm going to try and go up on Thursday evening.
- 25:33Don Armstrong: I think you should.
- 25:34Don Armstrong: Yep.
- 25:34Don Armstrong: That's exactly what you should do.
- 25:36Don Armstrong: Jeff and I, I don't think we're riding together, but I don't know.
- 25:39Don Armstrong: The jury's still out on all of that.
- 25:41Don Armstrong: Uh but he and I are both leaving on Friday, correct?
- 25:44Don Armstrong: Yeah, I'm leaving on Friday.
