Latest / Podcast - Big 98.7 / Amanda's husband is not an instagram husband
Transcript
- 0:00Yesterday, Amanda and I were sitting in the office, you know, just
- 0:02planning out this show, because obviously it takes hours and hours of preparation.
- 0:06You guys have no idea what goes into this. You just think we're just
- 0:08turning the mics on and talking. Come on now, don't be silly.
- 0:12But Amanda started to complain about your husband, Nick, which you know you
- 0:15don't do often. He seems to be a perfect man. He is.
- 0:18Yeah, no, he's a great guy. But you have a big issue
- 0:20with this. Well, it just bothers me because as a mom, sometimes
- 0:25you just want pictures with your kids. You know, if you look in
- 0:28my phone, there's a million pictures of my husband with the kids, right
- 0:32because you're you're the one who has it in her brain to be like,
- 0:34oh, this should be photographed. Yeah. Absolutely, So last weekend it
- 0:38really hit me. I especially when we're out fishing with the kids. This
- 0:41is like one of our favorite things to do. The kids are loving it,
- 0:44and I always make sure that when the kids have a fish on or
- 0:48Nick is right there fishing with them. First thing I do, of course,
- 0:51is before I grab the net, I grabbed my phone and make sure
- 0:55that it's videotaped. Oh my god, really in the moment, I haven't
- 0:58fished along, but growing up we fished the time. My dad was so
- 1:00serious about it. I can't imagine his reaction. If I'd be like before
- 1:04getting the net, was driving my phone got he'd kill me. Anyway,
- 1:10I was super excited last weekend because I caught a walleye and it was it
- 1:14was a big deal. I'm not like, there's just not walleye like those
- 1:17are just hard to come by. After thirty seven years, I finally caught
- 1:19a walleye on this lake. It was a huge deal. I understand he
- 1:23didn't get the video of me reeling it, and that's totally fine. So
- 1:26I simply ask one thing, Okay, can you take a picture with me
- 1:30and the kids? Because this is my fish. I'm not gonna take a
- 1:33picture of you with my fish right now. That wouldn't make sense, no,
- 1:36right, So of course he just snaps a picture. I'm like,
- 1:38okay, can you make the fish look big? Because also when he catches
- 1:42a fish, this is the biggest fish you're ever gonna see. You know
- 1:46that you have to go up, you put your hands out. Well,
- 1:48we all know the hold the fish out technique absolute. But also anybody's seeing
- 1:52the photo knows the trick too. But you're gonna at least try and like
- 1:56even to stay to the kids, smile or you know, I can't be
- 2:00talking to the kids and be the one in the picture. This sounds so
- 2:02ridiculous, but he did me dirty. He took one picture and that was
- 2:07it, and then he got annoyed. He's like, oh, you want
- 2:09me to take another one? You want to get the fish out of the
- 2:12basket because that's not a good picture. I'm like, no, it's fine.
- 2:14I don't care. Well, your problem is it runs deeper than just
- 2:16the fish photo. It sounds like he's just not good in general a taking
- 2:20your photo just in general, yes, just being caught in those moments.
- 2:23And I feel like him. A lot of moms probably feel that way.
- 2:24Every picture I have with my kids is because there happened to be somebody who
- 2:29snapped a photo that was around that weekend. See what you have here is
- 2:31a bad Instagram husband. I don't know that life. Because my wife Lauren
- 2:37hit the absolute jackpot with her Instagram husband because when she wants a photo taken
- 2:42a name, Oh yeah, he is not a good Instagram husband because I
- 2:46know every angle that she wants. I know the writing. I know,
- 2:51Hey, the sun's over here, why don't we face this way? I'll
- 2:53take a thousand of them. I get portrait mode going. I know the
- 2:57rule of thirds even, I mean, I got a d college photography at
- 3:00Moreheadseate University, Minnesotata University. More Okay, So I know my stuff.
- 3:05Okay, So you got to get right now, blown away right now on
- 3:07Instagram. She would tell you if we called her, she would tell you
- 3:12that she, you know, in a lot of ways she's missing out on
- 3:15dating of being married to a real man, but when it comes to being
- 3:19you know, photographed, they're killing it. She's absolutely killing it. Okay.
- 3:22Yeah, Well, can you, uh you offer classes to husbands.
- 3:25That's not a bad idea. I've been I've been trying to think about what
- 3:29do I know a lot about? Like what's my and I've just been drawn
- 3:32blanks. Yeah, I mean, but this is it. Probably husband just
- 3:36teaching other husbands how to be a good Instagram husband. Yeah, and especially
- 3:39in the mornings and stuff, I always think about, I'm gonna have to
- 3:43take the first day of school off for my kids because I have to get
- 3:46that photo on the first day of school, because I know my husband's not
- 3:49gonna be able to do He's gonna take the clothes. And maybe that's maybe
- 3:53that's the joy of it. Those are just real, candid photos. Maybe
- 3:55I need to chill out. Maybe I'm the crazy one. Does he even
- 3:58know that you're supposed to take from a high angle? Going down it looks
- 4:01thinner? No, he just he's just he's wild. He just opens his
- 4:05phone and just goes picture and that's it. Boom. Yeah, yeah,
- 4:11it doesn't matter. You probably like my wife though, where you could take
- 4:13a thousand of them and she'll be unhappy and and I'll be like, Okay,
- 4:17I think that's just how you. You're beautiful to me. But I
- 4:20know you're unhappy. But I don't think it's the angle or the lighting.
- 4:23I think you just don't like how you look. That is just what you
- 4:26look like right now. There's no like, yeah, there's no angle.
- 4:29Before I used to feel that way. I've after a couple of kids.
- 4:31I'm not that girl anymore. Like, I don't care. I don't need
- 4:34to filter or do any of that stuff. I'm not asking for anything tells
- 4:38the photos. You and I used to take me in photos on my memories
- 4:41and it was just like what is it? What? What? What are
- 4:43we underwater? I mean it just looks so filter. I'm like, I
- 4:46have not done that for years. You're just raw. I am. I'm
- 4:49just raw and a real authentic woman who just wants one cute picture with my
- 4:55kids. That's it in the morning, Big nutty eight point seven. Well,
- 4:59if if you're dating, there's a new term he should be aware of.
- 5:03Men everywhere are attracting women not because of their physical appearance appearance, but
- 5:09because they've got the riz. Have you ever heard of the riz? No?
- 5:14What is the riz? The riz means a man that is not your
- 5:17typically attractive person, but once they start talking, you find yourself getting flustered.
- 5:24Oh okay, turned on. So the riz being short for charisma.
- 5:30Thanks for breaking that one down. Yet, some of the men, some
- 5:33of the famous men with the most amount of riz are like Adrian Brody,
- 5:38Adam Driver, Russell Brand, Pete Davidson definitely got the riz. Yeah,
- 5:44he's that's what it's gotta be. Right, come on, he's not the
- 5:48ugliest, but he ever saw no, no, no, no, no,
- 5:51okay, who's he who has the riz for you? This is really
- 5:56bizarre and it's just kind of a voice thing. Keith Morrison on Dated Life.
- 6:02I had no idea you had a thing for Keith. When he talks
- 6:05about stories of death and mystery, it just gets me. He I mean,
- 6:10that's that's a voice. Yeah. I mean he's a sharp book.
- 6:15No, he's not as sharp book and Disney probably really was. I mean
- 6:17he's he's aged a bit, but he's still as one does when they age.
- 6:24You know. He kind of reminds me of the female version of that.
- 6:26For me, and you guys have known for years, if you know,
- 6:28me had a big thing for Whoopie Goldberg and now you might be thinking
- 6:31there's no way or attracted to her now obviously in the traditional sense of beauty.
- 6:35Maybe not maybe not my thing. She's got a little she's gotten more
- 6:40polarizing over the years. But you've been a fan for Yeah, yeah,
- 6:43I know. Listen, people get mad at me when I say this.
- 6:45I'm not a fan, Like, I don't even care. I don't pay
- 6:46attention to what she says. That's gonna get get people riled up. I
- 6:49just you know, I loved rat Race and I like her personally, so
- 6:54I thought it was ghosts that really stole your ghost was what it was?
- 6:58Sister Wives or what's Sister Access to Act? Yeah? Oh oh god was
- 7:02that was one of my favorite movies anyway. So anyway, that for me
- 7:05is you like the female version of the Riz or you know who else?
- 7:09Zoey Deasianell always she's I mean, she's attractive. Obviously she's not like an
- 7:14ugly person, but it's just you know something about that Riz, that charisma.
- 7:18Benedict cumber Batch, He's on the list of the most amount of Riz.
- 7:23I feel like I don't know a lot of these celebrities. That sounds
- 7:26like a made up name. I'll be honest. Cumber Batch, you slap
- 7:33six Stevens. You know he got the Riz. Morning seven, it is
- 7:39time to play our favorite little game. It's a hypothetical situation game brew unlike
- 7:44anything you've ever heard, and it's called what do you What do you do?
- 7:49Amanda play along in your car by the way, or text us or
- 7:54Facebook comment whatever, what what would you do? In these situations? A
- 7:57man has been giggling all morning at one of hers. I'll save the lost.
- 8:00Okay, please do all right, hit me with the first one in
- 8:01my opinion. Okay, you get done with a rousing rounds of golf.
- 8:05You and your buddies are starving, absolutely starving. You bring your card up
- 8:11to the clubhouse. You leave your clubs in the cart because you're starving.
- 8:13No, they're open, yep. You head in to indulge on a real
- 8:16nice meal. Come back out. Oh look, no clubs. But there
- 8:22is a set of clubs in a similar bag to yours, a real nice
- 8:28set of Calloways. Yours were vast irons vass. Yeah, what is that?
- 8:33I googled the worst golf clubs possible, and that's that's when up.
- 8:39All right, just dust the old allegedly the worst golf clubs you can buy.
- 8:45But there's a real nice set of Calloways. Nobody is around, Pike.
- 8:48Your bag is gone. Those vass golf clubs are gone. So Pike,
- 8:54Okay, he's not a set of vases. I know, I know,
- 8:58I mean, but it's a popular brand. What you're gonna do?
- 9:03Well, Amanda, I paid hundreds of dollars to get custom fit to my
- 9:07specific set of irons, So no, I'm not just stealing some yahoo's clubs.
- 9:11Really, I'm not above stealing somebody's you know, clubs if they traded
- 9:16their vasses in for my tailor made piece seven nineties. No, I'm gonna
- 9:22find the guy who did it, and I'm gonna make his life miserable.
- 9:26If you're listening, that's a threat. Alright, alright, Amanda, what
- 9:31do you do? You're wandering around downtown Fargo. A man, a man
- 9:39wearing him, a man wearing a potato sect as a dress, approaches you
- 9:46in a dark alley. We'll we'll call it Robert Street. Okay, who
- 9:52Robert's alley? He says, he'll give you one hundred million dollars, but
- 9:56you gotta leave town for six months without saying a word to anyone. After
- 10:03six months, you can come back cash one hundred million dollars, but you
- 10:09can't say a word to your husband, your kids. Me. So,
- 10:13Amanda, six months, happy year, six months. Kids probably think you're
- 10:22just gone for good. What do you do? I mean, I'll make
- 10:24up for it. I'll be coming back with a nice, goody bag of
- 10:28treats for the rest of their life, new house, everything, A hundred
- 10:31million six months. You know you're risking. What if you come back and
- 10:35Nick's already moved on and they got they got a new step mom. I
- 10:37mean what if no, not, everyone greeves differently. Yeah, you're just
- 10:41gonna get up and leave. Six months up flies by one hundred million bucks.
- 10:46Not for the kids, it doesn't. Every night they go to bed
- 10:50wondering where mommy is. Yeah, okay, no, you already said,
- 10:54you already decided ahead time for your hilarious one that you wrote. You've been
- 10:58giggling about all morning. Who aren't aware you're a big car napper. You
- 11:03just loved to napping cars. Sometimes you just kind of pull over into really
- 11:07cool places. So imagine you're exhausted, you can't keep your eyes open.
- 11:11You're head on over to Lyndenwood to catch a nice car nap, beautiful area.
- 11:16Uh, you hop into the back seat of your Ultima and you you
- 11:20crash. You are out. I mean, we're drool all over the seat
- 11:24and that back seat is nasty, but anyway, you are just out,
- 11:26your cold, out cold. Didn't need all these details, but thank you.
- 11:30You wake up. Someone's in the front seat flailing a gun, just
- 11:35flailing a gun, and you are in them. You are currently in the
- 11:41middle the middle of a high speed face you just don't wake up in the
- 11:52back of this ultima, And I mean they're flying driving my car. He's
- 12:00not going one hundred. I'll tell you that he might be going eighty five.
- 12:03But the fella has no idea that you're in the back seat, not
- 12:07a clue. But he's got a gun and he's flailing it. Oh my
- 12:11god, you make a peep. You're trying to talk him down? Or
- 12:20do you keep hiding? Like what do you do? I start choking.
- 12:26I reached around the seats. Driving one hundred miles an hour, not anymore,
- 12:31He's not I don't know what geez. I know this is intense.
- 12:37Take a minute if you need to, because life threatens a situation, Okay,
- 12:41I think realistically, I think you have to start because there's no safe
- 12:43way to disarm him, you know, except for with your words. So
- 12:48I think I gotta start talking about I gotta start asking. I gotta you
- 12:52know, I've seen enough law in order spu I've seen Stabler talks some people
- 12:54down. You gotta be like, you don't want to do this. You
- 12:58know, you gotta hit him with that. You don't think you're gonna just
- 13:00scare the but Jesus out of him when you all of a sudden just go,
- 13:03hey, bro, it is he's living my worst nightmare where you get
- 13:07in your car and suddenly somebody's in your back seat. So right, suddenly
- 13:09I'm the Boogeyman last one. Amanda. You make a big mistake at work,
- 13:20but a coworker you barely ever talk to takes the fall for you.
- 13:26Yeah, you approach him to say thank you now, he says you're welcome.
- 13:31Now. He doesn't really want anything in return except say that he happens
- 13:37to be going through a vicious custody battle with his ex wife and he thinks,
- 13:41well, you know what, you can actually do something for me.
- 13:45He wants you to take the stand as a character witness so he can get
- 13:48every other weekend in six weeks in the summer with his two kids. So,
- 13:52Amanda, I mean you are indebted to this man. I mean,
- 13:58yeah, a big mistakes. What do you do? Oh boy ah?
- 14:09And I don't really know him that well, huh No, all you know
- 14:11about him is that you owe him something. It sounds like this is what
- 14:16he wants. I don't think he's gonna want me on that witness stand.
- 14:20You couldn't go up there and just make it something up about the guys,
- 14:22I don't think so you can talk about how he did the things. What
- 14:26he did is he lied and that makes him a really great guy. Oh
- 14:31so now he doesn't see his kids at all? Nice. I feel like
- 14:35I would be in a safe enough situation to go into that. I wouldn't
- 14:37be able to do that. Yeah, because I don't know the situation there.
- 14:41It could be a rave you said it was a vicious divorce, what
- 14:46you know, just as they all are. I'm gonna say he's a violent
- 14:48man. I'm just saying it's like they're good, there's heated. They both
- 14:50want custody. Yeah, Mama wants no part in that. I'm gonna have
- 14:56to go talk to nance and be like, I paid a big mistake and
- 14:58I that guy that took the phone. Yeah, he's a lying, he's
- 15:01a high and he shouldn't get his kids. And honesty is the best policy.
- 15:05Pikee Amanda in the morning, you're ready, ready? That's he is
- 15:13piping hots today. No, Amanda stills the sea. Let's see. I
- 15:20cannot wait for it. It's been a long time since. I've tuned into
- 15:24the Bachelor, and Jerry Turner is gonna get us all back on board because
- 15:28he is the Golden Bachelor. He's open up about all the ladies that he
- 15:31wants to be a part of this. So he's seventy one years old,
- 15:35he is a retired restaurant. My wife's name wasn't on the list, wasn't
- 15:37no o come and a grandfather. He revealed at seventy one, he wants
- 15:43between sixty and seventy years old, like that was his age, right,
- 15:46They got to be younger than him. I guess. I guess when you're
- 15:50that attractive at seventy one, you can make these sort of demands. Yeah,
- 15:52you get to call the shots. He's also looking for somebody who's active,
- 15:56wants to stay fit and in. You know, some of his favorite
- 16:00activities were golf and pickle ball. Shee's weird. Couldn't have guessed it didn't
- 16:04say anything about bingo. But I'm just envisioning all of these dates and everything
- 16:08that's going on. They're probably gonna still have the champagne. I mean,
- 16:11do you think this is these old ladies are just gonna go wild? Probably
- 16:15I'm just excited it's gonna be interesting because I'm getting so tired of the North
- 16:18where I'm been watching a couple apps here and there this season the Bachelorette.
- 16:21You know, I'm starting to feel old. Do you watch these girls that
- 16:23are getting on the show and I'm like, oh my gosh, train wreck
- 16:26after train. Yeah, but they do. She was with they're down to
- 16:29like the final three. I think it's spoiler, but the one guy was
- 16:32talking to her about like his he cheated in a previous relationship, and she
- 16:34was basically asking him like, hey, I gotta know, like, are
- 16:37you gonna do this again? And he was straight up saying like, listen,
- 16:41if I'm on vacation with the boys, it's gonna be hard. He
- 16:45goes, it's gonna be hard and not but I won't. He's like,
- 16:48if I love you and you love me, I won't, but it's gonna
- 16:52be hard. I'm like, my man, my brother in Christ. You
- 16:56do not have to get that information. We'll hate for more adult conversations.
- 17:02When the Golden Bachelor debut, Yeah, I mean I did appreciate his honesty.
- 17:06She's very candid. You appreciated his candorf, did you Oh goodness,
- 17:11Taylor Swift announced and people are just excited for her nineteen eighty nine Taylor's Version
- 17:18album. It's gonna drop on October twenty seven. But she said that she
- 17:22also has five tracks from her Vault. Yeah, the vault I'm talking about.
- 17:26My wife was all excited about the rerelease and I'm like, okay,
- 17:27there's like, how many has she done now? And it's like the same
- 17:30songs. It's the Vault songs. It's the ones that weren't good enough to
- 17:34be on it the first time that she's now releasing. Well, she says
- 17:37they are so insane and she cannot believe that they were ever left behind,
- 17:41but not for long. Insane. I bet I'll hear them. They better
- 17:47be some bangers. That's what I'm talking about. I can't wait. I
- 17:52know everybody was excited about we Fest and all the concerts of the summer,
- 17:56but mine has been pink. It is next weekend at the far Go dumb
- 18:00by the way, we got some last chance tickets next week for you to
- 18:03win. But you do yes? Yeah me personally? No, we do?
- 18:08Oh we do cool? All right, Well, that'd ben now be
- 18:11exciting. Heck, that's a reason to listen because I know it's not to
- 18:14hear us. Yeah, I hope that something like this happens, maybe not
- 18:18this aggressive, but she's been having just crazy things happen at all of her
- 18:22shows, whether it's her daughter that's coming up to do a performance and just
- 18:25anything. I don't know, I know, it's insane almost, it's insane
- 18:29as this new songs Taylor's got on the new album, Well, she had
- 18:32a concert goer at Fenway Park that was thirty one weeks pregnant, having just
- 18:36fun with her mom and her sisters. They went to the concert. Before
- 18:40it even started, She's like, ah, get some contractions. She ended
- 18:44up calling the doctor though you better get in because you're probably going to be
- 18:47having this baby. Oh wow. And she ended up having to walk to
- 18:49the hospital, which was a mile away. She had a healthy baby boy
- 18:53and named it Ason Hart and heart was after Harry Hart. That's Pink's real
- 18:59last name. Mary. That's kind of an I mean, I guess,
- 19:00what are your options if you're gonna name it out because you got it,
- 19:03you got to do some sort of tribute to Pink, But you're not gonna
- 19:07You're not gonna have their middle name be pink And what's her real name?
- 19:11That's kind of like nineties names. I don't know. Oh, it's for
- 19:15sure, nineties name. So interesting. You think that's cute, Yeah,
- 19:19i'd be cute. You think something crazy is going down to the Fargodom next
- 19:22week. I'm trying to think of what other kind of surprise that there would
- 19:25be. I'm just like said to Brandy Carli, like the whole show is
- 19:27going to be amazing. Somebody had to have a bachelor party the same weekend.
- 19:32This is a good excuse. In the morning on Big Nut eight point
- 19:38seven, all right, well this is terrifying. There is a store in
- 19:42a small town in Austria that has had to shut down, a little cute
- 19:48supermarket because they found a venomous Brazilian wandering spider. Okay, well I know
- 19:55it's venomous, so it's just killing people. Well it's dangerous, all right,
- 19:59So they've had to evacuate the store. It's gonna be closed until further
- 20:03notice because you know what happens when one of these venomous Brazilian wandering spiders bite
- 20:08a man, a man in particular, or just anybody specifically a man.
- 20:12You know what happened. They don't die, They experience a painful sometimes lasting
- 20:19as long as four hour. Supp it is one of the Viagra spider essentially,
- 20:27it's it's one of the one of the more painful side effects that well,
- 20:33I swear of got a man that they've had to evacuate this whole store
- 20:34because of fear that you know, imagine, imagine how can you go about
- 20:38doing business if you got dudes walking around. Yeah, it's gonna be really
- 20:42uncomfortable when guys too, I suppose. Well they say it's painful, so
- 20:47don't act like it's some sort of like pleasure cruise. Well that's what I
- 20:52was wondering, if it was just very exciting four hours for you. No,
- 20:56it's not. No better roses, that's for sure. Sounds like thorn.
- 21:00Yeah, the shop gonna be closed until they say at least next week.
- 21:03They got to get an exterminator over there. And you know how that
- 21:06the spider got in there. You know how the spider got into the store.
- 21:08They crawled in. Nope, they suspect he's snuck in in a crate
- 21:12of bananas. Get out of here. To God, do you swear you
- 21:18did not make this up? It just sounds like you were out last night
- 21:23having some beers with the boys talking about the boyoyowing spider. Yeah, you
- 21:27can fact check it. You think I'm to the point now we've done a
- 21:30deal with this morning show for three months. You think I'm making up stories
- 21:33at this point. Now, go to your Google on your phone and type
- 21:37in Well, I don't know how you would google this, but just be
- 21:41careful what links you click on Amanda in the Morning. Is there a job
- 21:49that, let's say you're into somebody really liking, really digging, but then
- 21:52you find out that they do this for a job. Would you be like,
- 21:56yeah, okay, people were talking online about the jobs that kind of
- 22:00gave them the ich when dating. So I'll run through the top six.
- 22:03Let me know if that would kind of weird you out, Like number six,
- 22:07if they're a salesperson, basically a job that the only the only goal
- 22:11is to make money. Yeah, I've been with a lot of salespeople.
- 22:17You have, haven't you? You got a TYPEE sales type? Well,
- 22:21my ex husband was a construction worker. Hey, I'm not saying that this
- 22:23is I agree with it. I mean, listen, Okay, sales people,
- 22:26Yeah, they're trying to make money, sure, but also what are
- 22:30you doing your job for? Right? And I also think it depends on,
- 22:33you know, how dirty of a salesperson they are if they were selling
- 22:36snake oil that kind of thing. Is that even a thing? I don't
- 22:41even know? What about the professional landlord? Would you date a guy if
- 22:45you say what do you do? He's like, oh, I just own
- 22:48properties, and well, yeah that's a great investment. Absolutely, yeah,
- 22:52smart man. All right? What about an MLM salesperson, so a more
- 22:56specific kind of sales person, but a multi level marketing sales person, somebody
- 23:00somebody wheeling a deal in Mary kay strive this. It's like gonna be terrible.
- 23:07But what if he was a beach body coach? A little annoying because
- 23:10you're always going to be howking products, They're always gonna be having parties at
- 23:14your house. And a lot of my family members do this. U.
- 23:17My mom when she was alive, she she would give you jewelry right off
- 23:22her arm if you wanted to buy jewels by park Lane. You know it
- 23:25just really it's something to do though, you know it's super cool, yeah,
- 23:29you know, super annoying if it's not to do something what about an
- 23:32embalmer or an hundertaker. That was number three. That's gonna be up there
- 23:36for me. It just takes a special person to be involved in that.
- 23:41It's one thing to do it, like if you had a gun to your
- 23:44head, but to do it voluntarily. It's just interesting to me. And
- 23:48people say it's like, I guess you'd probably become numb to it. Well,
- 23:51i'd say after maybe a couple of days if you're like, all right,
- 23:53another dead body and there's just nothing to you, which really would be
- 23:57maybe a peaceful place to be. Or are you just you're not affected by
- 24:00it at all? Yeah, that's gonna be too hard. I'm all right,
- 24:04be up there. What about this job? Would you date somebody if
- 24:07they were a massage therapist? Oh? I never thought about that. Yeah,
- 24:12a lot of perks. But is it gonna be like anything? Oh,
- 24:15there's no perks. That's what I'm wanting. Were gonna come home and
- 24:18massage you? Not? Probably not, because they're going to be exhausted from
- 24:22it. That's the last thing they want to do. Not. Okay,
- 24:23So like for a guy, if your wife was a massage therapist, like,
- 24:27yeah, I mean thinking about them rubbing down dudes all day. I
- 24:30mean, I don't know. I think that's also some heres like whatever it
- 24:34is their job. Sure, I don't think that's gonna bother me. You
- 24:37wouldn't if Nick spent eight hours a day, Okay, yeah, think about
- 24:44that. Yeah, I would probably not not be a fan. You were
- 24:47being all cool about it. Yeah, no, I apologize, I take
- 24:48it back. Thanks for really breaking that one down for me. I'm gonna
- 24:52pass. I have at this. Would you date somebody if they had a
- 24:55job that they were away a lot for like thinking of flight attendant, pilot
- 24:59trucker couldn't do it, couldn't do it? No, what if they were
- 25:03traveling massage theory? Like in a minute in the morning, Big nutty eight
- 25:07point seven. A Florida man has been accused of stealing from a store.
- 25:15Now the items he stole are rather curious. Yeah, what do you get
- 25:19he stole lobster, brought worst and a large selection of ladders his household items.
- 25:27Just walking out with big old ladders. I kind of didn't. I
- 25:33gonna skip past the whole brought worst. Yeah, yeah, I mean that's
- 25:36the most exciting part. Surveillance footage shows a man appearing to be the suspect
- 25:40throwing packs of food over a gated fence, loading the food into a shopping
- 25:45cart, and then leaving. They also suspect he may have gotten away with
- 25:49pork fries, smokers and canopy tents. Jeez, what kind of a rig
- 25:56was he driving? Then he could shove ladders, broads and can it be
- 26:00basically dealing that guy? What was that old supermarket show where you just going
- 26:03supermarket sweep? Yeah, he was one of my favorites. Oh yeah,
- 26:06have you ever you ever caught Ben Cut stealing? You ever stole Amanda?
- 26:11This is an open dis Gottia, you be honest, I know you past.
- 26:15Yeah. No, I hung out with some shady characters at one point
- 26:18in my life. Oh you're like me. You blame the people you were
- 26:21hanging out with, Yeah, because they influenced me. And what did one
- 26:26that got caught Alexandria Mall, Viking Plaza, Bath and body Works chapstick chaps.
- 26:33It was one of those big daddies. Do you remember they made those
- 26:34really thick chapsticks, those chapstick Yeah weird, Yeah, I remember that.
- 26:41So how did you how to go down? You're walking down the censor went
- 26:44over. Wi. No, they didn't have sensors on the chapstick start.
- 26:49So I started walking casually. Yeah, and these two large men started walking.
- 26:56Actually they were heavily secured. There, the kings towards me. I
- 27:02started shaking in my boots and they brought us up and they were talking to
- 27:07us and got busted. It was awful. I cried. My parents were
- 27:14out of town, so I had to call my brother to come and get
- 27:15me. They took my picture and they said they were hanging it out.
- 27:18I'll get back. Yeah, so I'm not allowed there. So you go
- 27:22to the Viking Plass. I want to know if that picture still hanging out
- 27:25at Alexandria. Yeah, my dad and stepmom lived there. Over let us
- 27:30say, hey, does this girl look familiar? Ah? Yeah. It
- 27:32was a whole ordeal. Ended up having to go to Fergus Falls, and
- 27:34I felt like I remember writing an alphology letter, but I also feel like
- 27:38I had to write it over and over again. So I don't know if
- 27:41a part of community service was like an hour of writing. I will not
- 27:45steal. I will not steal the intro of The Simpsons. Yeah, well
- 27:48I did it again. I would throw stones here. However, I too,
- 27:52am living in the glass house after eighth grade year, trying to impress
- 27:57my then girlfriend. Oh no, went to the local West steak Ors mall
- 28:03which still stands today. Yea and a little store and they're called Abercrombie and
- 28:07Fitch. And I thought, you know what she would like is some perfume.
- 28:10No, you did not perfume, and this is not cheap. And
- 28:12a friend of mine, I have a similar friend who was a bad influence,
- 28:15he said, hey, just go into the dressing room, pull off
- 28:18the little censor and walk right out. So I did. Well, there
- 28:22must have been a backup censor because as I stepped out, well, the
- 28:27alarms went off. I'm walking out of the mall, over to the fount
- 28:30I'm trying to be line over to J. C. Benny's. I can
- 28:33hide out, Oh god. And the manager at the time just ran out
- 28:36after me, pulled me in the back and interrogated me. I fested everything.
- 28:38I cried like you did. My parents were there at the mall,
- 28:42and my friend's parents, so it was like this like intervention in the back
- 28:45of the Abercrombie and Fitch. Anyway, no criminal charges were filed however,
- 28:49I've not been allowed incense. Is this still there? No, Abercarbie,
- 28:52I think got the boot well back. Yeah, I think it might still
- 28:56be there. Hollister is still there, I know. Yeah, I think
- 28:57Abercrombie's gone off for sure. I don't miss that smell. Man. Well,
- 29:02I will tell you this. I just hope a lot of people are
- 29:03listening right now, and just know that we all make mistakes, some really
- 29:08deep thoughts you can change, don't do stupid things, and if you're being
- 29:12influenced by really bad characters, just step away and find a new friend groups,
- 29:17right, that's right. Motivational Friday thoughts by him? Yes, I
- 29:21know, yes, steep thoughts you guys, A minute in the morning.
- 29:26Seven Now here's what you need to now. Search and rescue teams continue to
- 29:32search for people after the devastation in Mauie. At least fifty two people have
- 29:34been confirmed dead, with bodies charred beyond recognition inside burnout cars. It is
- 29:40just devastating. Dozens more have been injured. Hundreds remain unaccounted for as of
- 29:45late yesterday, As communication lines where spotty, some parts of the island were
- 29:48inaccessible. I don't know if you guys have been seeing some of these pictures,
- 29:51but it is just awful. Six separate wildfires, I guess of race
- 29:56through Maui, fueled by dry conditions and strong winds. The cost of gas
- 30:00typically goes down over the summertime, but prices are going up. Just the
- 30:03other day, it was like three forty six in the Fim area. Now
- 30:07it's up to three seventy six. It's kind of about thirty cents. And
- 30:11they're basically saying the high rates are due to a couple of different factors.
- 30:14Internationally, Russia and Saudi Arabia cut rail production. I met every morning,
- 30:18the president just set the price, just decided to wake up one day.
- 30:21It's like I will bumper up today. I don't know. Domestically, high
- 30:25temperatures are causing the refinery workers to reduce output, and more people on the
- 30:29roads is increasing demand. We need vehicles that run on fumes. What's something
- 30:33else? What's something else like water? Are people? Are people working on
- 30:37this? Then we have a bunch of or on pontoon. I think waters,
- 30:44the fuel on water. We've got a few of those things that are
- 30:48on water pike. This show is for smart people listening right now feel just
- 30:55know that you're one of the smarter people. Yes, you definitely are.
- 30:57I cues are going up listening as we speak, and I thought, you
- 31:03did this? Did you sign up to change your name the subway for on
- 31:07subway dot com right now about to order me a big sandwich? All this
- 31:11talk has got you going, well, you can't anymore, But nearly ten
- 31:15thousand people did register to legally change their name to subway to get free subs
- 31:19for life. The winner is going to be announced later this month. I
- 31:22still kind of feel like this is one of those you did it and then
- 31:25they call you and they say you're the winner, and you're you go,
- 31:27hmmm, do you know how hard it is to change your name? Like
- 31:30even just your a get burried? What if you had to eat the same
- 31:34thing for the rest of your like free food from where Subway I feel like
- 31:37would be up there because it's like relatively like kind of clean eating fresh.
- 31:41You can you know, you can dirt nasty with it if you want,
- 31:44pile up a meatball sub but you can also do salads. I mean that's
- 31:47like I think one of the better options. Name a place you'd rather eat
- 31:51fast food wise fast food wise, I'm gonna have to go boo. What
- 31:56hells like the most options? Well, I mean like, yeah, you
- 31:57got have a diverse menu. Donald's, you know, say what you want,
- 32:00but big Donald's will be good. Like there's a lot of options.
- 32:02I feel like I'm gonna have to go a taco place. Like you're someone
- 32:05that has tacos involved in it. That's the worst. Imagine you didn't Taco
- 32:08bell every day the rest of your life. That's what I'm saying. I'm
- 32:12directly that direction. I just need a taco on the menu. Arby's has
- 32:16roast beef. You could cut that up and put it in a in a
- 32:20shell. No, you can't even do that. See now that you bring
- 32:22up Arby's, they have some really good like their chicken salad is good.
- 32:25They've got a good euro. You're telling me, you don't need to tell
- 32:30me because I know that you know. I'm a big jamoica shake so good?
- 32:36All right? Wise today, chance of a thunderstorm. Otherwise eighty today
- 32:39for the high going to beautiful tomorrow. Get out and enjoy
