- 0:02Hello, welcome to He's hot, but some things off.
- 0:07I'm shirtless today, so if you all want to switch over to the
- 0:09YouTube version, I happen to be shirtless today.
- 0:12It's pretty warm in Los Angeles. It is right now it's 91° outside
- 0:19the high for yesterday, Tuesday. I record this the day before it
- 0:23goes up. Tuesday this week it was 95.
- 0:27Today's Wednesday as I'm recording it and it's going to
- 0:30be the high is 93. So definitely getting some
- 0:33record high temps here. It's actually not like too warm
- 0:37for me. Yesterday was I guess was at
- 0:40home the entire day. So it was 95° was the high
- 0:44yesterday in West Hollywood, and during the day I didn't run the
- 0:48AC at all. So yesterday I didn't go to the
- 0:50gym. This morning I did.
- 0:52Well, I'll get to the gym in a bit.
- 0:53I've got something to talk about the gym.
- 0:55But yesterday it was not a gym day.
- 0:58I was just working the entire day.
- 1:01And if I'm just at home and I'm not like doing chores or
- 1:04whatever, I'm just working on the computer, just not really
- 1:09burning any calories. Seriously, I get cold kind of
- 1:13easily. So at some point yesterday
- 1:16afternoon into the evening, the office got up to 78°.
- 1:23So I've got a Nest thermostat and I got the little temperature
- 1:26sensors for the different rooms. So there's a temperature sensor
- 1:30in the living room, there's one in the bedroom, there's one in
- 1:33my office where I work, and the office temperature sensor, it
- 1:38went up to 78. But because I'm just sitting on
- 1:40my ass the entire day barely moving, I didn't feel hot.
- 1:47So for most people, 78°, like they're starting to feel like a
- 1:50little bit warm. At least some people would
- 1:54think, OK, that's they're just sweating, even if just sitting
- 1:57there 78°. But for me, I was just on my
- 1:59computer was pretty productive yesterday, 78° and BD, if it got
- 2:05up to like 80 degree 80°, then it's maybe like, oh, OK, it's
- 2:10starting to feel like a little warm even I'm just sitting in my
- 2:12house. But if I'm just literally not
- 2:15doing anything, like not burning any calories, I'm not trying to
- 2:18clean the house, I'm not trying to do any chores in the house.
- 2:20I'm like sitting on the couch, sitting on my desk, not moving.
- 2:24Yeah, like high 70s is fine. What I didn't feel, obviously I
- 2:29didn't feel cold, but I didn't feel warm.
- 2:30Honestly, it didn't feel hot at all.
- 2:33So yesterday during the day, even though it was the hottest
- 2:35day out of this little heat wave that we're getting, I didn't use
- 2:39the AC at all. The times where I do have to use
- 2:42the AC, when it does get warm, it's at night.
- 2:43But when I'm sleeping it can't be warm because it's just so
- 2:47uncomfortable. I already sleep warm usually.
- 2:51So I do turn the AC down. I do turn the AC on and turn the
- 2:54thermostat down when I'm sleeping.
- 2:57That's the only time this morning I went to the gym
- 2:58though. OK, actually left the gym early
- 3:00today, a little early because once in a while you're just not
- 3:07feeling it at the gym. So there's a difference between
- 3:11OK, you're lazy and like it's, it's maybe just not the day to
- 3:16push records. And today was not one of those
- 3:18days to like really push records.
- 3:20There's probably a little bit of laziness in there if I'm just
- 3:23being completely honest with myself.
- 3:24But for someone who goes to the gym 45 * a week doing weights
- 3:31pretty much like there's not usually a good reason for me to
- 3:35take a week off. Like obviously sometimes I go on
- 3:38a trip, I go out of town, then obviously I when I am on a trip
- 3:42I just don't usually even try to gym at all.
- 3:44But today was one of those days where I just quit the gym early
- 3:47and that's fine. Once in a while I have a what's
- 3:50called AD load week, which is a week where either I completely
- 3:55don't live anyways or I go like really, really light.
- 4:00So I think I'm getting close to the point where I've been need
- 4:03one of those break deload weeks. And you can't just like
- 4:09endlessly continuously keep lifting more and more and more
- 4:12weights without some sort of break.
- 4:14So that's where this concept of deload is.
- 4:16And you also need to like give your body a bit of like a break
- 4:18like your joints and your muscles when you are trying to
- 4:21like lift more and more weights progressively.
- 4:25But anyways, I think I'm getting pretty close to that point.
- 4:27But the other reason I left the gym early, there's this guy and
- 4:31I've never seen him before, which is like so weird because
- 4:34like this gym, the crunch in West Hollywood, like we've only
- 4:38got what, two more weeks here before it closes permanently?
- 4:40But anyways, this guy was wearing way too much of like
- 4:43aftershave or like some chemically spelling fragrance or
- 4:47like expired Axe body spray, like whatever it is.
- 4:51I was 10 feet away from him and I could smell it and it didn't
- 4:54smell good. Like, OK, if you're going to
- 4:58wear anything with fragrance, perfume, Cologne, body spray,
- 5:06aftershave, like anything, just at least once, ask a friend, OK,
- 5:14maybe you're getting ready to like go out with friends to like
- 5:17the club, to have dinner, like whatever.
- 5:19Just do it like once or like do it once or twice a year just to
- 5:23like check in. OK, Just wear the aftershave and
- 5:28the clone or whatever and, and literally ask your friend.
- 5:30Ask your friend, the friend that's going to tell you the
- 5:33truth and the friend that is maybe not scared to hurt the
- 5:38feelings a little bit, but you got to be able to handle the
- 5:40truth. Maybe not like a super close
- 5:42friend sometimes a super close friend that would disagree with
- 5:44you all the time. So Oh no, you're not wearing too
- 5:46much of that. But ask a friend, Hey, am I
- 5:49wearing too much? Like can you smell me from like
- 5:526 feet away? Like, am I wearing too much of
- 5:54what I'm wearing? If someone can smell you but
- 5:57they can't see you, that's way too much.
- 6:01Like if I smell something and I look around and I don't even see
- 6:04you, like that is way way way too much.
- 6:07You might like how you smell, but there's a chance that 50% of
- 6:12the people around you hate it. Fragrances are very subjective
- 6:16and my guideline for this is like like the three feet rule.
- 6:23If I'm 3 feet within 3 feet of you and I can smell you, that's
- 6:26fine. Even 3 feet.
- 6:29Like if you're going to like a mixer, a bar or something and
- 6:32someone's three feet away from you, they're pretty close.
- 6:34Like that's, you know, but imagine if everybody in the
- 6:37crowded bar was, was smellable from three feet away.
- 6:42Could you imagine the it's probably too much anyways, but
- 6:46like, that's my very general rule.
- 6:48It's like just go up to a frame once in a while.
- 6:51Just put your aftershave and Cologne on the in your usual
- 6:53manner. And then the next time I hang up
- 6:56with a friend, just ask, hey, am I worrying too much of this?
- 7:00And while you're at it, can you also ask them like, that's my
- 7:03breath smell now. Again, you need to ask a friend
- 7:07that is not going to that's going to tell you the truth
- 7:12nicely. It's no good to ask a friend
- 7:16where they're just going to kind of lie to you to not hurt your
- 7:19feelings like that's that's not the point of this exercise
- 7:22because sometimes people's breath stinks like every once in
- 7:25a while. But I'm just using the gym as
- 7:27reference just because I spent so much time in the gym.
- 7:28But it could be in any situation sometimes.
- 7:31Have you ever had someone like walk by you and you can smell
- 7:35the plaque in their mouth? I mean, they don't want to have
- 7:38bad breath, but maybe they need to go see like a medical
- 7:41professional. But there are conditions where
- 7:45it could cause bad breath and it's not because, you know, the
- 7:48person isn't taking care of the hygiene.
- 7:50So there are conditions like that.
- 7:52It's not the person's fault. But like, hey, it was me and my
- 7:56breath smells like plaque, which is like a very distinct smell
- 8:00and I didn't notice it, but other people do.
- 8:01Like I would want to know so that I can go get help.
- 8:04But this is not shade. This sounds like some this
- 8:06sounds shady, right? But no, like nobody wants their
- 8:09breath to smell. Honestly, no one wants that.
- 8:12But sometimes you don't notice because of like the way some of
- 8:15these medical conditions are. I'm not being shady.
- 8:17It's like sometimes you need someone else to tell you like
- 8:21something is up, but sometimes you just don't notice.
- 8:23That's just, that's just the way sometimes the human body works.
- 8:30But the after shaving the colonists like honestly don't
- 8:32spray so much of it. This guy just had way too much
- 8:34like literally I was like 10 feet away from him and I can
- 8:36smell it and it didn't smell good.
- 8:40Like, and the gym is not somewhere you want to wear a
- 8:44bunch of Cologne or whatever. Anyways.
- 8:47You know, sometimes you go to like certain types of parties,
- 8:52like certain types of like gay parties.
- 8:55Not, not not necessarily ORG wise, but like certain types of
- 8:59like like a circuit party, like a like a circuit party, a gay
- 9:02circuit party. You don't want to wear a ton of
- 9:05Cologne because people are in very close proximity of each
- 9:08other on the dance floor. So wearing a whole bunch of like
- 9:12body spray or aftershave a Cologne like it doesn't, it's
- 9:15not you don't, it's not a situation for that when you're
- 9:18at the gym, like, oh, by the way, don't think that wearing a
- 9:20ton of fragrance, it's going to mask your Bo because it doesn't
- 9:26work. It does not work to wear a ton
- 9:30of fragrance to try to cover up your Bo from sweating at the
- 9:33gym. I just need all of you to know
- 9:36that you might think you're like, oh, I'm going to put on a
- 9:39little extra aftershave or a little extra body spray or
- 9:42Cologne or whatever. Because I know I get sweaty at
- 9:44the gym and I don't want to smell like be like, it doesn't
- 9:46work. It just smells like Beel mixed
- 9:48with chemicals. Like it, it's, it could maybe
- 9:50smell even worse if you know, you sweat a lot or like, you
- 9:55know, that, you know, just like, I mean, I think when people at
- 9:58the gym, like they're OK with people smelling like Beel,
- 10:01sometimes it's like, hey, if you're working out hard, you're
- 10:04sweating. Some people are just more
- 10:05predisposed to like that sweaty smell.
- 10:09Like that's why they have, I don't know, I'm the best person
- 10:13to give advice on how to like reduce how bad you smell at the
- 10:18gym when you're really, really sweaty because I'm not a sweaty
- 10:20person and I don't tend to smell that much.
- 10:22They're like other products. Like it's just like a bunch of
- 10:25fragrance. It's not the way to do it.
- 10:26OK, deodorant. They've got antiperspirant.
- 10:30Those are like, better ways to do it.
- 10:32But like a bunch of Cologne, a bunch of body spray, like,
- 10:35that's not usually the way to do it.
- 10:37You probably want to use products that are, like,
- 10:39designed for that. Yeah.
- 10:41But anyway, that's also that. So this guy was also part of the
- 10:44reason why I left because like I was at I was doing bench presses
- 10:48and then he like I was near the end of my set and then he was
- 10:53using the station next to mine, the bench press station next to
- 10:55mine. And like they're not that close
- 10:58together. He's a good like 8 or 10 feet
- 10:59away from me. He's like, I can smell it later
- 11:01on. Then I went to use one of the
- 11:02pulleys and he's he came and used the pulley beside mine.
- 11:05So it's like, Oh my God, get out of here.
- 11:08ANYWAYS, So yeah, I've got, I spent so much time at the gym.
- 11:12I really feel like because I spent so much time there, I try
- 11:19to be like extra considerate of this place I go to all the time.
- 11:24But anyway, so I also need to like, find a new gym now or
- 11:27we'll get that out in a bit. But yeah, just don't wear it.
- 11:29Like just ask a friend. It's really good.
- 11:32And like, just do it once at least so you have a reference
- 11:34point. But I don't think it's a bad
- 11:38idea. One time I told David it was,
- 11:41this was like ages ago. He was staying over.
- 11:44And then one night I think we were going to like, we decided
- 11:47to like go to go out for dinner and then hopped into my car.
- 11:52And then I could smell that some, some piece of garment he
- 11:57was wearing was starting to smell like Bo.
- 11:58And I just told him, but like, we're close friends and I didn't
- 12:01do it in like a nasty way. I just, I just said like, hey,
- 12:03like something you're wearing smells a little.
- 12:06OK. So there are ways to do it, like
- 12:09not in like a mean way, but sometimes you just have to like
- 12:14tell them people's feelings. It's easy to hurt people's
- 12:18feelings, isn't it? I mean, that's just, I'm reading
- 12:21this book. I just finished reading this
- 12:23book. I've got the, I think it's
- 12:25called the life changing Magic. I'm not giving a fuck.
- 12:29So one of you guys on Patreon, one of my fans, one of my
- 12:33Patreon subscribers got me a Kindle, which I'm very thankful
- 12:39for. And I've been using it like
- 12:40literally every night. I've been using it every night
- 12:44just to read whatever. So I was reading what's the
- 12:48first? What's that first book from So
- 12:51Heated Rivalry? The TV show is based on a a set
- 12:55of novels. There's like I think 5 novels in
- 12:57this series and I think the 6th 1 is going eventually to be
- 13:00written and released later. But the very first one, I forgot
- 13:03the name of it. The second book is called Heated
- 13:06Rivalry, but the first book I just forgot the name of it.
- 13:10But that is about the story of Scott and Kipp.
- 13:14So I was like, oh, I love, I love the TV show.
- 13:17Let's read the books. Let's read the series of books.
- 13:21But it's just like a whole series of them.
- 13:22And I wanted to start from the first book, which I forgot the
- 13:25name of now conveniently. So I read that whole thing.
- 13:28Thank you for you know who you are.
- 13:30I don't want to like throw names out there, but you know who you
- 13:31are. Thank you for giving me the
- 13:32Kindle. But I read that pretty quickly.
- 13:35And I haven't read the second book, which is which is actually
- 13:38called Heat Rivalry, which is about what the TV show is about
- 13:41those characters. But anyways, I'm holding off on
- 13:44reading the second book because it took me no time to read the
- 13:48first one. So I know that once I read the
- 13:50second one, I'll be very tempted to read the third one, which I
- 13:53think the third one has storylines from the second
- 13:57season of the TV show. And I was thinking, do I want to
- 14:00read it first or do you want to watch it first?
- 14:03And I've decided I think I want to watch the show first before I
- 14:06read it, which I think is kind of backwards, right?
- 14:08I think a lot of people when there's ATV show based on a
- 14:11book, a lot of times I feel like people want to read it first and
- 14:16then they want to watch the show anyways.
- 14:18But like I kind of want to do it the other way around.
- 14:21Anyways, that's a really roundabout way for me to say I
- 14:25don't want to read that second book yet.
- 14:27So I was reading other stuff. Like I don't read a lot, but in
- 14:30my Kindle account library, there's like just a few other
- 14:33random books there. And one of the books I don't
- 14:35know how I got it was this book. I don't know if it's the exact
- 14:39title, like the life changing magic, I'm not giving a fuck.
- 14:42Basically. It's kind of like a self help
- 14:45book. And the point of the book is to
- 14:50helped you decide what things in your life to give a fuck about
- 14:55and what things to not give a fuck about.
- 14:57In less crass language, it's basically like, what are things
- 15:02in your life that you should spend less of your time and
- 15:07effort and money and energy on versus other things?
- 15:11And it's got this concept of like, well, what brings you joy
- 15:13or what brings you annoy? So a very common example in the
- 15:16book is being obligated to do or show up for things that you
- 15:22actually don't care about. But it's an obligation.
- 15:24It's like you're getting invited to some baby shower when you
- 15:28don't care about kids and you don't care about babies.
- 15:30But it's like, I don't know, some friend.
- 15:33Maybe it's not even like a good friend.
- 15:34It's like an acquaintance. And I realized over the last few
- 15:39years, I do more and more of what the book is kind of
- 15:44preaching. Like, for example, I never, I
- 15:49very rarely fix my hair to go to the gym the last few years.
- 15:56But you know, when I was younger, I would probably like
- 16:00put in some effort. I'll wear a hat, I'll put in
- 16:04some effort, I'll put back contacts.
- 16:05And I don't wear contacts to the gym, which is kind of
- 16:09interesting. Sometimes once in a great while
- 16:12these days, I'll happen to be at the gym with contact lenses in
- 16:17because probably because of some other reason.
- 16:20It's so rare that I feel like, you know what, for the gym
- 16:22today, I'll put my contacts in. It's just a real reason for me
- 16:25to put contacts in for to just to go to the gym.
- 16:29So this hair that I'm looking at, yes, I'm getting haircut
- 16:32just in case you're watching and you're like, why is why is this
- 16:34hair so fucked up right now? I'm getting haircut soon.
- 16:37I explained on the uncut episode this past weekend why I wasn't
- 16:41getting haircut, if you want to listen to that.
- 16:42I mean, it's probably not worth paying the money just to listen
- 16:44to that one story. But anyways, yeah, when I go to
- 16:47the gym, I do have this headband, like tennis style
- 16:51headband that I always keep in my gym bag and it's just to push
- 16:54my hair back. It also kind of semi makes the
- 16:58hair look, I don't know, 20% presentable.
- 17:01That's as much effort and credit as I can give myself there, but
- 17:05it's just to keep my hair out of my face because it's annoying
- 17:08when you're working out. And I only have a few shirts
- 17:12that I kind of cycle through. I have a few shirts that I cycle
- 17:15through for the gym. Same with like shorts and
- 17:17sweatpants. I don't put my contacts in.
- 17:20I don't do anything special for my face.
- 17:22Like I don't, I don't put on Cologne.
- 17:24I used to put like some deodorant.
- 17:28I sweat like, you know, most of the time when I'm at the gym, my
- 17:32hands are cold. Like I'm not sweating at the gym
- 17:35really. I just have that body type where
- 17:37like I'm, I'm cold a lot of the time.
- 17:38So I could be working hard. If you came with a few my hands,
- 17:40my hands would be like frigid. So a lot of times when I'm at
- 17:43the gym, at least to start, I have this like jacket on because
- 17:46I'm if I just go right into the gym at the beginning in shorts
- 17:50and a tank, I'm freezing my ass off.
- 17:51There's obviously they cranked the AC in there, but like I'm
- 17:53just hot. I mean, I'm just cold.
- 17:55Anyways, yeah, I don't make any effort to look good, which is
- 17:58weird because the gym is like the one place I go to regularly
- 18:01where there are hot eligible guys.
- 18:03But I just don't. I just don't care to spend time,
- 18:08money, energy to impress people that I don't know in like 90% of
- 18:17the time. You know, when I'm on vacation,
- 18:18I go on a trip sometimes I like to doll myself up because I want
- 18:22to doll myself up and it makes me feel good and it doesn't feel
- 18:26like the chore. You know, when I'm when I'm on
- 18:29like one of the Atlantis cruises, I will put on a little
- 18:33bit of make up, a little bit of tinted foundation.
- 18:35If I have a zit or something, I have like a little concealer.
- 18:37I'll do my hair. I'll get a haircut right before
- 18:39I go, but it doesn't feel like a chore, doesn't feel like an
- 18:43obligation. Like I just like I do like
- 18:45looking nice, but when I'm just going to the gym, I'm just there
- 18:49to lift weights. There are a lot of hot eligible
- 18:53looking. Well, I don't know if they're
- 18:55actually eligible, but there are a lot of hot guys at the gym.
- 18:57But I, you know, every once in a while I'll ask myself, are you
- 19:01going to fuck that guy? And the answer is no.
- 19:04The reason why I sometimes ask myself that question is have you
- 19:08guys ever had the thing where when you're at the gym,
- 19:11sometimes you want to like stay a little longer or like work out
- 19:16in a certain part of the gym or use a particular piece of
- 19:18equipment to be close to like some guy that you think is hot
- 19:20and you want to check him out. Is it just me?
- 19:24Maybe it's just me, I don't know.
- 19:25So sometimes if there's like some particularly attractive
- 19:29guy, well, I think they're attractive.
- 19:31I don't have my glasses on. Everyone, everyone looks hotter.
- 19:33Everyone looks 20% hotter than they probably actually are
- 19:35because I don't wear my contacts.
- 19:37So everybody like, anyways, once in a great while, I'll be
- 19:41tempted to like stay in the gym a little longer than I need to
- 19:45be because every time I go to the gym, I've got my
- 19:47spreadsheet. I know these are the four
- 19:49exercises that I'm doing. I'm going to do this in this
- 19:50order and I'm doing X number of sets, X number of weights.
- 19:53It's very easy. It's just autopilot.
- 19:55I just follow a spreadsheet. I've done it for years.
- 19:57It works. But sometimes I'm like, oh,
- 20:00maybe I'll like I'll use this piece of equipment because it's
- 20:02kind of, it's right beside this hot guy and I want to go check
- 20:05him out or like, oh, I'm done all my exercises, but like, oh,
- 20:08maybe I'll do like one more exercise.
- 20:09I don't need to. And it's like out of bound.
- 20:11It's not in the schedule, but like just to like check out this
- 20:14guy or just the whatever. And then in my head, I'll be
- 20:18asking myself, are you going to go up to him and talk to him?
- 20:21Like, are you going to fuck him? Is he going to fuck you?
- 20:23I'm asking this to myself. And the answer is always no.
- 20:26And then I stop caring. I stop giving a fuck and I just
- 20:30leave or I just go continue on my schedule.
- 20:33It happens more than you think. So yeah, I just don't, I don't
- 20:38give AI, don't give a fuck as much, nowhere near as much as
- 20:41when I was younger. You know, when you're younger,
- 20:43when you're in like your early 20s or something, or even in
- 20:47your in your teen years, I tried so hard to be cool and fit in
- 20:54and impress other people. I mean, now at my age, I've gone
- 21:00slightly wiser, have a little bit more life experience and I
- 21:03just care so much less about impressing other people.
- 21:11You know, I kind of, I'm almost swinging the light the other way
- 21:15because here in LA, as you can imagine, there's like a big car
- 21:18culture, right? You know, like everyone had
- 21:20drives. And I'm a car person.
- 21:21Like, I'm a car enthusiast. I appreciate cars.
- 21:23I love driving cars. Like you can kind of tell when
- 21:26someone has like a fancy car just to show like a poser car,
- 21:31you know what I mean? Like they revved their engines
- 21:33and it's like bright orange. And it's like, yeah, I guess you
- 21:36needed some amount of money to buy it or you're just drowning
- 21:38in debt. Who can say that that I don't, I
- 21:41don't. That is like a turn off for me.
- 21:44I'd much rather you just have like a very regular car if
- 21:48you're not a car, if if you are a car person.
- 21:51I don't know, like car enthusiasts.
- 21:53I know they're not the type to drive like the fancy showy cars
- 21:57and like ref their engine. People that are actually into
- 22:00cars and actually like cars, not just for image purposes.
- 22:05I can tell. And this yeah, if if a guy I'd
- 22:08be more impressed with a guy just drove like a Camry than a
- 22:13guy that drives a Corvette. Like AI don't know a bright
- 22:16yellow Corvette that's really loud.
- 22:19It's a Corvette, a better car than like a Camry.
- 22:21I guess in some ways you can say so.
- 22:23But if some guy pulled up to our date in a Corvette and it was
- 22:27like loud and chowdy, it was like revving his engine, I'd be
- 22:30like, OK, this date is halfway in the dumpster before it even
- 22:34started. I just don't like that.
- 22:37It's never impressed me, a guy that has a lot of like branded
- 22:44luxury goods that they're wearing, like he's wearing a
- 22:48shirt that says like Gucci on the front in like big letter.
- 22:51I don't, I don't even know if that exists or like something
- 22:54that's like very clearly like branded like Chanel, Prada,
- 22:58Gucci, Louis Vuitton. I don't like that stuff.
- 23:05Like I don't like wearing branded stuff.
- 23:07I don't like looking like a billboard.
- 23:10I appreciate other people like it.
- 23:13You do you, but that doesn't impress me.
- 23:17And I it's the same thing as like with the car thing.
- 23:21I that makes me less attracted to someone like, Oh, else, if
- 23:25you give me two guys that you know, they're kind of I'm
- 23:29equally attracted to them, but one of them is wearing a bunch
- 23:31of Louis Vuitton. That's very obvious.
- 23:33And the other one just wearing like plain non branded stuff.
- 23:36I'm going to I'm not going to like the guy that's slathered in
- 23:39Louis Vuitton logos. I should like Louis Vuitton, to
- 23:43be honest, but I don't I don't like it when someone looks like
- 23:48they are trying to impress everyone with what they're
- 23:51wearing or what they're driving. Does that make sense?
- 23:55So it's nice. I can appreciate like high
- 23:58quality goods like I, I have, I still have, I still have that
- 24:03Louis Vuitton wallet from like ages ago.
- 24:06I think I mentioned this pair of Louis Vuitton sneakers that I
- 24:10love. They recently broke because I've
- 24:12had those sneakers so long. I wore them out to dinner just
- 24:16with David. It was at night time so no one
- 24:18can see it, but like it was to celebrate like me launching the
- 24:21two businesses and like I had some credit on my own credit
- 24:23card. So like me and David, we just
- 24:24walked down to like a place in West Hollywood, just have
- 24:26dinner, not fancy thing. And I wore, I was like, oh, I
- 24:30wear these like Louis Vuitton sneakers just because for me it
- 24:33was like a little bit of special occasion.
- 24:34It's a little bit celebratory. And I never wear these.
- 24:37It was just, I just felt like wearing it and it was dark, so
- 24:41no, I could really see them. But these Louis Vuitton
- 24:43sneakers, they are so old. They're 25 years old.
- 24:48They're 25 years old. I can't even tell you.
- 24:51Anyways, they're so old and I wear them so little.
- 24:55I've worn them like 10 times in 25 years because I'm just afraid
- 24:59to scuff them that, you know, like the sole, like the bottom
- 25:03rubber part of a shoe. It cracked in half on both of
- 25:06those Louis Vuitton sneakers because the rubber is so old.
- 25:10They've heartened 25 year old sneakers.
- 25:13So they broke it now and I can't wear them anymore.
- 25:16I mean, it's I wasn't heartbroken about them, but also
- 25:20one reason why I can't have nice things is really nice things
- 25:22take more maintenance even when you're not using them.
- 25:25And I just am not that type of person.
- 25:27So I do like I can appreciate high quality things.
- 25:32I don't think stuff like Louis Vuitton and Prada stuff, it's
- 25:37there just for people to show it off.
- 25:39Like my mom, for example, has a Louis Vuitton wallet, but she's
- 25:44had it for decades, decades. Like she's had it for so long.
- 25:50I think my dad got it for her like maybe before I was born
- 25:54right around the same time, like many decades.
- 25:57And when it's like someone like my mom that has like, you know,
- 26:03a Louis Vuitton and it and it, it's just a regular, that brown
- 26:06classic Louis Vuitton monogram. It's not, you know, it's just a
- 26:10classic style. But you she that's like her big
- 26:13wallet that she has and she just uses like a normal wallet.
- 26:18She's not there to like show it off.
- 26:20And someone, someone like someone who's a little older,
- 26:23like someone that's of her generation, that's, you know,
- 26:26that generation isn't about showing off.
- 26:28It's not like millennials nowadays.
- 26:30Yeah, but she still has it and it still works.
- 26:33One time, the little snap on the whatever broke and she took it
- 26:37back to Louis Vuitton. They just replaced it.
- 26:38It was just like a leather. It's just a high quality leather
- 26:40good. So I can appreciate, you know,
- 26:42like these companies, the luxury goods companies making something
- 26:47high quality and then people using it because it's like good
- 26:50quality. But I don't like this thing of
- 26:52like, oh, I'm going to get this Prada.
- 26:53I think this is Prada like and it's got the Prada logo and like
- 26:58it's for me, that's kind of like, it's kind of icky and
- 27:01gross. It's like an icky and gross.
- 27:02I can appreciate a nice car. You know, sometimes I, I had a
- 27:06Beamer, you know, beamers are a little bit of like a showy car
- 27:10in LA, though, I feel like there's so many beamers.
- 27:12It's not really showy. But you know, I bought that
- 27:14previous Beamer. Well, at least that I got rid of
- 27:16it, but at least that car because it was like the I4, it
- 27:19was like the electric. I'm into cars.
- 27:22I've had, I have an affinity for Beamers and yeah, it, it was the
- 27:26car that I wanted for myself. It was like plain white.
- 27:30It was like the base model. It was didn't have like the
- 27:32sport package. It wasn't like it just blend it.
- 27:35It kind of just looked like every other Beamer that you
- 27:37would get in in LA, like a white base model Beamer is like it.
- 27:41I see more Beamers like that than Civics and Corollas, to be
- 27:46really honest, at least in West Hollywood anyways.
- 27:48And I but I didn't get it to be like showy or whatever.
- 27:50The previous car I had to have the Mercedes was like a little
- 27:52showy, had a very loud exhaust. So, but like, yeah, over the
- 27:55years, I just don't care about putting an effort to impress
- 27:58people that I don't know. And it's a lot of effort.
- 28:03Like nowadays I have better ways to spend my time and money and
- 28:08effort to yeah than that, you know, I'm, I'm, I'm running
- 28:13business because I'm really busy.
- 28:15But even for my friends, but I want to hang out with my
- 28:16friends. Yeah, I'll fix my hair because
- 28:19that's something I would rather look.
- 28:21I would rather look good for people that are my friends,
- 28:25people that I actually know, then random guys to the gym that
- 28:30we've never talked, we never even said hi.
- 28:32We don't know each other. We just go to the same gym.
- 28:34Like what's the point of spending an extra 20 minutes
- 28:39fixing my hair? Making sure like, you know,
- 28:41putting on like putting on makeup or whatever, like wearing
- 28:45a nicer shirt, putting on somebody spray, which I would
- 28:47never wear a body spray to a gym anyways.
- 28:50Putting my contacts so I can see them.
- 28:51Like it's not, it's not a thing. So I mean, but there are a lot
- 28:55of people out there. I will say, I'm not saying if if
- 28:58you do that, you're a bad person.
- 29:01Everybody has their, everybody gets to choose how they spend
- 29:08their time and money and energy, right?
- 29:10Some people love to buy clothes. I don't see the point in buying
- 29:15clothes like I have. I have a pretty full closet
- 29:18anyways. I don't wear half the shirts in
- 29:19my closet. Honestly, half my closet was
- 29:22free anyways. But you get to decide how you
- 29:25want to spend your resources, your time, your money, your
- 29:30energy. I'm in the somewhat fortunate
- 29:32position that no one asks me to like, go to a wedding or go to a
- 29:38baby shower. I don't really have friends like
- 29:39that and I don't really have to turn those things down, but like
- 29:43I can appreciate where if I did have a lot of friends that were
- 29:48having a lot of kids, I would be turning them down left and
- 29:52right. But they would probably already
- 29:53know I'm not a babies person. They probably wouldn't invite me
- 29:57in the 1st place. I'm not on the in fight list.
- 30:00I'm totally OK with that. It's a two way St. though.
- 30:03Like it's, it's definitely like a two way St.
- 30:05Yeah. But I'm, I'm, I'm, I don't, I'm
- 30:09fine with people that want to spend time and money buying
- 30:13clothes and buying nice things and being showy is like, you can
- 30:15do that all day. It's your life, do what you
- 30:17want. But the people that do that,
- 30:21like they just don't impress me. And I'm, I'm just over trying to
- 30:25like impress random strangers. And yeah.
- 30:29So there you go. Has this been helpful?
- 30:31I mean, if for no other reason you've gone to watch me, You
- 30:34guys always comment when I do shirtless versions of the video
- 30:39podcast episodes, but I don't think it's like very flattering
- 30:42lighting. I can't.
- 30:44I'm not wearing contacts so I can't see the little screen on
- 30:47the camera if I actually even look decent right now.
- 30:49It just happens to be a slightly warmer day today and that's why
- 30:52I'm shirtless. Well, there you go.
- 30:54Hope you enjoyed this episode. We'll be back next week for
- 30:56another episode. Until then, bye y'all.
