- 0:04Speaker 1: Welcome to Off the Edge with Cam Jordan. It's me. Hello.
- 0:09Speaker 2: I appreciate y'all tapping in tuning in twelve years experience
- 0:13Speaker 2: behind me heading the year thirteen with the NFL, with
- 0:16Speaker 2: the Saints, with the same team. It's a dream and
- 0:19Speaker 2: I'm living it. I'm not truly excited because we as athletes,
- 0:23Speaker 2: we want to reach for perfection. We're sitting at two
- 0:25Speaker 2: and one. New Orleans Saints lost to the green Bay
- 0:28Speaker 2: Packers somehow in the last seven minutes and fifty seconds
- 0:32Speaker 2: of the game, which irks me because I'm not a
- 0:36Speaker 2: fan of the Green Bay Packers because I was born
- 0:37Speaker 2: in Minnesota. Pops played for the Minnesota Vikings, left when
- 0:40Speaker 2: I was five, but I grew up being a cheesehead hater,
- 0:44Speaker 2: so I hate losing to the cheese Heads just innately.
- 0:46Speaker 2: I've grown up from that. I don't have that type
- 0:49Speaker 2: of love hate relationship between the Vikings and the Packers
- 0:53Speaker 2: or anybody else in the league.
- 0:54Speaker 1: But it still does. It grinds my gears.
- 0:57Speaker 2: You know, Thomas tom Us, Thomas your mute. You can't
- 1:02Speaker 2: just pop in the window.
- 1:04Speaker 3: I can't just chuck you hurt? Right? Were there? One?
- 1:11Speaker 1: Two? Three?
- 1:12Speaker 4: Specific plays in the game that you can point to
- 1:15Speaker 4: and say this heard us may have contributed to the loss.
- 1:20Speaker 2: There was a specific you know, fourth and short on
- 1:23Speaker 2: the on the goal line that you just wish you
- 1:27Speaker 2: had that play back. You know, defensive line crashed down
- 1:29Speaker 2: on a running back Jordan Love runs into the end zone.
- 1:34Speaker 5: Pockets have struggled out fourth down today.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Love well taken it. In my mind, you know we
- 1:42Speaker 1: stopped we stop them there. That's the end of the game.
- 1:44Speaker 2: We ended up having seven penalties for over one hundred
- 1:46Speaker 2: and one yards. It hurts shoot in.
- 1:50Speaker 1: The third quarter, Derek Carr goes down out of the
- 1:53Speaker 1: shot down.
- 1:53Speaker 5: This car here comes pressure picked up, the car steps
- 1:56Speaker 5: up and he won't go down rush Sean Gary linebacker
- 2:01Speaker 5: tonny and car is down still.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Was how he was slammed into the ground. Lost seventh
- 2:09Speaker 1: time out for injury.
- 2:10Speaker 3: Man, he is in some payment.
- 2:12Speaker 1: You know.
- 2:13Speaker 2: You look at that and you're like, man, all right,
- 2:14Speaker 2: we got James coming in as a defense. You're trying
- 2:16Speaker 2: to step up as a team. You're you're rallying, you're
- 2:18Speaker 2: getting the energy up. Their car walks off on his
- 2:21Speaker 2: own court. You're like, all right, we know it's not
- 2:23Speaker 2: something that's going to take away from our future. We're
- 2:25Speaker 2: working about our present, worried about it right now. It
- 2:29Speaker 2: sucks that injuries do happen on the field, especially to
- 2:32Speaker 2: a quarterback who you know is growing with our offense
- 2:36Speaker 2: each and every game, and you just have to pick
- 2:39Speaker 2: it up as a defense, you know, get down to
- 2:41Speaker 2: the thirty yard marker and have to kick it with
- 2:44Speaker 2: a winning field goal doesn't happen our way.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Snap hold, kick is away and he missed him. You
- 2:55Speaker 1: could tell him by the crowd behind. I believe you
- 2:57Speaker 1: missed it.
- 2:58Speaker 3: White.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Right at the end of the day, you can't rest
- 3:00Speaker 2: on the sugar cut of what is. All you have
- 3:02Speaker 2: is the now and now. The Saints are sitting there
- 3:04Speaker 2: two and one, and we've got our site. We've now
- 3:06Speaker 2: broken down film, got our sites officially all in Tampa Bay.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Buccaneers. Don't ask me about Derek Carr. I have no idea.
- 3:13Speaker 2: That being said, if Jamis has to take the field,
- 3:15Speaker 2: Derek Carr takes the field, we're gonna be in a
- 3:17Speaker 2: great spot to try and put major points on the board.
- 3:19Speaker 2: It's got to be you know, we've looked at it
- 3:20Speaker 2: this whole year as it's got to be on defense.
- 3:22Speaker 2: It's gonna be on defense. Defense gonna take over this
- 3:24Speaker 2: next game against Tampa Bay. We're gonna focus on what
- 3:27Speaker 2: we can't control.
- 3:28Speaker 1: You know, when it comes into scheduling. I just want
- 3:31Speaker 1: to talk about when it comes into scheduling.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Turning over a loss like this, you lose on a
- 3:35Speaker 2: Sunday in Green Bay, you talk to you. You know,
- 3:38Speaker 2: there's a family section if you have friends, family come
- 3:41Speaker 2: through after a loss. I'm not a good person, so
- 3:44Speaker 2: after a loss, I'm really not looking forward to a
- 3:46Speaker 2: family section. And there are people that you really look
- 3:49Speaker 2: forward to seeing regardless, So you show love where you
- 3:52Speaker 2: can show love, because you have to accept the love
- 3:54Speaker 2: that you know that wants.
- 3:55Speaker 1: To show up to these games.
- 3:57Speaker 3: You like.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Man, it's great to see you. I'm just headed to
- 3:58Speaker 2: the bus. Man, just trying to get to the bus.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Pops. I appreciate you for being moms. Thank you, love
- 4:03Speaker 1: you guys so much.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Bay Wifey kids whoever like Man, thank you guys for
- 4:09Speaker 2: being here.
- 4:10Speaker 1: I want to take picture so I can go to
- 4:11Speaker 1: the bus. You know, you get back to get back
- 4:15Speaker 1: home somewhere around seven thirty. You're around your family. The kids.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Kids don't care kids just want to see you, dad.
- 4:21Speaker 2: You lost, I'm sorry, and you're like, oh man, look
- 4:24Speaker 2: there there's a bigger picture here. This this loss isn't
- 4:27Speaker 2: gonna change who I am as a person because I'm
- 4:28Speaker 2: still your dad. This loss is gonna change who I am.
- 4:31Speaker 2: I used to used to affect my whole day. Now
- 4:33Speaker 2: I'm like, hey, like, let's watch a movie.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Let's calm down. If you guys want to, you know.
- 4:37Speaker 2: I probably don't. If I lose, I'm probably not watching football.
- 4:40Speaker 2: I'm watching highlights of football because I'm I'm petty. I
- 4:43Speaker 2: want everybody to lose after I I like, if I lose,
- 4:46Speaker 2: I want.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Everybody to lose.
- 4:47Speaker 2: I'm just checking ESPN scores like, yeah they lost, Yeah
- 4:50Speaker 2: they lost.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Yeah I wanted them to lose. Yeah they lost too.
- 4:53Speaker 1: They won. They'll lose to when we play them, though.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Like you know, there's just times where you that's my petty,
- 4:59Speaker 2: it's taken over. But either way, you know that that
- 5:02Speaker 2: next day is where you break down film with the team,
- 5:04Speaker 2: You get your body right, you check yourself, like, all right,
- 5:07Speaker 2: how sore am I?
- 5:08Speaker 1: Because if you're showing Monday dom setting in Tuesday.
- 5:11Speaker 2: That's delayed on set muscle soreness, I believe, which just
- 5:18Speaker 2: means if you if you ever have like gotten a
- 5:21Speaker 2: car wreck or played football, you know, which is just like.
- 5:24Speaker 1: A car wreck. You feel that.
- 5:27Speaker 2: About two days later, you're like, man, I'm good on Sunday,
- 5:29Speaker 2: like I'm hyped up.
- 5:29Speaker 1: You got all that adrenaline pumping.
- 5:31Speaker 4: Man.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Some Monday you're like.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Ooh, this showed a little the shoulder, got a little
- 5:35Speaker 2: wing to it. Now you got a little sting to it. Oh, Tuesday,
- 5:38Speaker 2: Tuesday would have hit Ooh Hamstrang's tight calves.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Tight back tight. Oh he did hit me in the ribs.
- 5:44Speaker 1: I feel that that's a bruise. I am bruise. I
- 5:46Speaker 1: am severe severed. If you shall, you.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Know, that's when you when you feel it all hit,
- 5:50Speaker 2: You're like, all right, well now I gotta I'm getting
- 5:52Speaker 2: a massage. I'm getting bodywork done on Tuesday as well
- 5:54Speaker 2: as Wednesday, because I'm trying to like, all right, this
- 5:56Speaker 2: is what ails me. This is how I get back,
- 5:58Speaker 2: and uh, you know, that's that's the off day. And
- 6:00Speaker 2: then I come in and come talk to y'all. You know,
- 6:03Speaker 2: we chat it up, we get it out, and then
- 6:05Speaker 2: later on the night I'll be at kids practices because
- 6:07Speaker 2: I got four of them.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Things. Now, hey, you see cam J just no, cam
- 6:10Speaker 1: J got a legacy.
- 6:11Speaker 2: There's tain't J, there's Glow Joe, and you know, there's
- 6:14Speaker 2: there's Nea Grace, and there's Cha Cha.
- 6:18Speaker 3: Which one do you like the most?
- 6:20Speaker 1: I don't have I don't have a ranking. I tell them.
- 6:23Speaker 2: I tell them each individual, you know, loves that I
- 6:26Speaker 2: have for But you know, I tell my oldest son,
- 6:27Speaker 2: I'm like, man, hey, you're my favorite oldest son.
- 6:30Speaker 1: And he's like, Dad, I'm your only oldest son. That's
- 6:33Speaker 1: why you're my favorite.
- 6:34Speaker 2: And then you know, my oldest daughter. I'm like, I'm like, oh,
- 6:36Speaker 2: you're my You're my favorite oldest daughter. And she was like, Dad,
- 6:40Speaker 2: I'm your only oldest daughter.
- 6:41Speaker 1: But dug, I mean, you know. Then I tell Nea Grace.
- 6:44Speaker 2: I'm like, baby, I was like, you're my favorite little
- 6:46Speaker 2: country baby and she's like, I'm not country, but like
- 6:48Speaker 2: her name is Nea Grace.
- 6:49Speaker 1: That's country as it gets right there.
- 6:51Speaker 2: And then my little you know, my little Cha Chad,
- 6:53Speaker 2: like I like to chat chall like that. Just I'm like,
- 6:55Speaker 2: I'm like, she's my little baby. You know, that's the
- 6:57Speaker 2: baby of the family. So she's gonna get love regardless,
- 6:59Speaker 2: like nobody loves her. So she got so much love.
- 7:02Speaker 2: So I just try to give him their own little
- 7:04Speaker 2: piece of the pie.
- 7:05Speaker 1: You know.
- 7:06Speaker 2: But speaking of staying in the president being in this week, man,
- 7:08Speaker 2: I got I got one of my former teammates. Now
- 7:10Speaker 2: he's over at the Union, now he's over at Miami.
- 7:14Speaker 2: You know, I think there's really great office tackles in
- 7:16Speaker 2: this league. Maybe few and far between, but you have
- 7:19Speaker 2: to earn my respect either way. I get to bring
- 7:21Speaker 2: on my dog, toront Armstead coming up next. When I
- 7:25Speaker 2: say dog, big b og, he's big dog toront.
- 7:30Speaker 6: Armstead, the fake good blocking man Don Coats.
- 7:37Speaker 5: Caught up up thirty sin stuck turn on up cat,
- 7:42Speaker 5: turning cat touchdown.
- 7:47Speaker 2: Oh that was a clip of the Dolphins putting seventy
- 7:50Speaker 2: points beginning of the Dolphins putting seventy points on a
- 7:53Speaker 2: Denver Broncos team.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Oh man, I'm excited. I got my dog.
- 7:57Speaker 2: You know, the coldest left tackle in the game, for real,
- 7:59Speaker 2: for real, when he hits the field, he's trapped city.
- 8:02Speaker 2: This guy you know in the game that only let
- 8:05Speaker 2: up two precious of the entire game across the line.
- 8:07Speaker 2: I'm not saying him across the line. I don't, man,
- 8:11Speaker 2: it's my dog, Tron Armstead. Were talking about former All
- 8:13Speaker 2: swack out of University of Arkansas Pine Bluff. You know,
- 8:16Speaker 2: current four time Pro Bowl, current All Pro. My dog
- 8:20Speaker 2: is cold left tackle, extraordinary number seventy two. I call
- 8:25Speaker 2: him Teachtead his rap name Teach that I'm with it.
- 8:28Speaker 2: You know, there's a lot of things that are going.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Down my dog.
- 8:31Speaker 2: I appreciate you tapping in the camps off the edge,
- 8:34Speaker 2: or maybe it's off the edge with Cam Jordan's either way, bro,
- 8:36Speaker 2: I'm just happy that you actually tapped in with me.
- 8:38Speaker 2: As we both know, I don't like a lot of
- 8:41Speaker 2: office a linemen, but I love it.
- 8:42Speaker 4: Hey, look, that's why I didn't say nothing.
- 8:45Speaker 3: I wanted you to just keep going.
- 8:47Speaker 4: It's very rare and he you give praise to an
- 8:49Speaker 4: officeive lineman.
- 8:50Speaker 3: So I am honored. I have truly honored my brother.
- 8:55Speaker 2: I am hey man, I've only had on podcast for
- 9:01Speaker 2: for you know, three three episodes?
- 9:03Speaker 3: You three? Okay? All right?
- 9:05Speaker 1: You know I had a defensive.
- 9:06Speaker 2: End, so you know, like I was coming to off
- 9:08Speaker 2: the line and we're going to talk about the trench
- 9:09Speaker 2: Burke were gonna talk about it.
- 9:10Speaker 1: You heard me how to pop it off with Mark?
- 9:12Speaker 1: So you really my brother?
- 9:14Speaker 2: Then an edge and then my brother, you know what
- 9:16Speaker 2: I'm saying, Like, I mean, so let's get this out
- 9:22Speaker 2: the way. You know, seventy eight I ain't never seen
- 9:24Speaker 2: the likes of ten tuddies, ten touchdowns. Did y'all punt
- 9:27Speaker 2: it all three hundred and fifty in the air, three
- 9:29Speaker 2: hundred and fifty on the ground?
- 9:31Speaker 3: Uh?
- 9:31Speaker 2: Did something go wrong at all in your offensive game plan?
- 9:35Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 9:35Speaker 4: Yeah, No, we definitely got some things to work on
- 9:39Speaker 4: and to improve on. We had a pretty look. Seventy
- 9:43Speaker 4: points crazy, crazy, I've never seen it before. I've been
- 9:46Speaker 4: around a game for a long time as a fan
- 9:48Speaker 4: and as a player.
- 9:50Speaker 3: I don't know if you've ever seen seventy school before? Crazy?
- 9:52Speaker 3: All right, high school, I ain't never do that. High school.
- 9:57Speaker 3: That was it was, It was, It was insane.
- 9:59Speaker 4: We had a turn on downs where we second and
- 10:02Speaker 4: one third and one fourth and one.
- 10:03Speaker 3: That we didn't convert, which is we have to fix that,
- 10:06Speaker 3: you know what I mean.
- 10:08Speaker 4: So that's that's where our mindset is focused, you know
- 10:10Speaker 4: what I mean, trying to We're trying to perfect.
- 10:12Speaker 3: Our craft and be as dangerous as an offense as
- 10:15Speaker 3: we possibly can.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Man, unreal. You know I had I had a game
- 10:19Speaker 1: the same day.
- 10:21Speaker 3: Yeah we lost.
- 10:22Speaker 2: We lost in the last seven minutes and fifty seconds.
- 10:26Speaker 2: It's still gonna piss me off for a while. You know,
- 10:27Speaker 2: I hold I hope these questions.
- 10:29Speaker 1: You know, you know how petty I am.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Bro, I internalize everything and I let it show show out.
- 10:34Speaker 1: But that's strive for perfection, Bro. I love that you
- 10:36Speaker 1: talked about.
- 10:37Speaker 2: You know, there's still things to correct because in a
- 10:39Speaker 2: game like that, that's one of them games that coaches
- 10:41Speaker 2: are gonna try and like mill Over, you're gonna be
- 10:43Speaker 2: in the room and there's.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Two ways it can go.
- 10:46Speaker 2: It can be like, hey, this is what we could
- 10:48Speaker 2: clean up and think about how much better we could be,
- 10:50Speaker 2: Like coach, we strive for perfection, and that was that
- 10:53Speaker 2: was perfect. If you're looking for the shun, we can
- 10:55Speaker 2: find a shun.
- 10:56Speaker 1: But I was perfect.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Or if you like, like, hey, you know that's when
- 10:59Speaker 2: you like throw the he's under rug and be like,
- 11:01Speaker 2: oh man, we could have ran for you know, a
- 11:03Speaker 2: couple of yards here there, whatever it is. But now
- 11:05Speaker 2: we're on to the next fit film already, So I
- 11:08Speaker 2: just want to know in the locker room, like what
- 11:10Speaker 2: was the message? You've already broke down film or whatever
- 11:12Speaker 2: it is, what's the message?
- 11:14Speaker 3: I mean? The initial reaction was kind of like what
- 11:19Speaker 3: just happened? You know what I mean? Historic moment, saw a.
- 11:22Speaker 4: Lot of high five and and like you know, you
- 11:24Speaker 4: feel me? It was it was crazy. So we're like,
- 11:26Speaker 4: man seventy, like that's wow. But we instantly switched.
- 11:33Speaker 3: And the focus went to Buffalo, you know what I mean?
- 11:35Speaker 4: So I love that and from a young head coach
- 11:38Speaker 4: Mat McDaniel, he is he's locked in's on a mission.
- 11:42Speaker 4: So the attention quickly turned to our let's get ready
- 11:46Speaker 4: for the next week. So we didn't have victory Monday.
- 11:49Speaker 3: We spent Yeah we didn't. We did.
- 11:51Speaker 1: It ain't no victory money. You already back in that thing.
- 11:54Speaker 3: I love it for real. It was in workouts meeting
- 11:56Speaker 3: one day and we're getting right back to it. Right.
- 11:59Speaker 2: It's your second year with the team, bro. You guys
- 12:01Speaker 2: have been what five and oh six and oh last.
- 12:03Speaker 3: Year we shot off three and oh yeah right.
- 12:07Speaker 1: So like so now you already know how to get three?
- 12:09Speaker 2: And oh, what's what's this pivotal turn to get you
- 12:12Speaker 2: to that four and oh five and oh six and
- 12:14Speaker 2: oh whatever gets you to the playoffs to face the
- 12:16Speaker 2: Saints in the super Bowl, because that's where I'm trying
- 12:18Speaker 2: to go.
- 12:18Speaker 3: I would love it, would love it. Uh really for us,
- 12:23Speaker 3: like our whole goal of our mantras to go.
- 12:25Speaker 4: One and know every week is to go one, to
- 12:27Speaker 4: know like nothing outside of that nothing.
- 12:30Speaker 1: You ain't looking a long game. It's what's today, not
- 12:33Speaker 1: at all.
- 12:34Speaker 4: Because we got to hear about sol last year at times,
- 12:37Speaker 4: Uh just just small chatter. We're talking about big picture,
- 12:40Speaker 4: big picture, and we got to understand the task in
- 12:43Speaker 4: front of us, and we you know, Buffalo that's top
- 12:46Speaker 4: of the line program organization or a team, a defense.
- 12:50Speaker 3: Uh so we got to come with.
- 12:51Speaker 1: You've been you've been over in Miami for two years now.
- 12:53Speaker 3: Bro.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Was there a significant difference.
- 12:55Speaker 2: What is the difference between like a guy like Sean
- 12:57Speaker 2: Payton and Mike Daniels, Mike McDaniel as a head.
- 13:00Speaker 3: Coach, They are different, for sure, very different. Sean was,
- 13:06Speaker 3: especially my earlier years, Sean was intense. He was great, uh, disciplinarian.
- 13:14Speaker 3: He was calling pretty much, you know, calling the shots
- 13:19Speaker 3: on everything. Mike is a different personality.
- 13:23Speaker 4: It's unique and it was and it was kind of
- 13:26Speaker 4: put some adjusting in time to get used to when
- 13:28Speaker 4: I came over because I was a Shankan not years.
- 13:31Speaker 3: So Mike is just.
- 13:35Speaker 4: Very very relaxedle like he literally seemed like just one
- 13:39Speaker 4: of the hummies, Like he's a He's a very intelligent
- 13:42Speaker 4: football mind. He sees the game kind of different than
- 13:46Speaker 4: than others, very unconventional, and he's genuinely him, like the
- 13:51Speaker 4: way he talks, the way he actually speaks, the way
- 13:53Speaker 4: he moves like he just he want to have fun, bro,
- 13:57Speaker 4: He's want to have fun. He wanted to instill kind
- 13:59Speaker 4: of for this and the guys, and you want people
- 14:02Speaker 4: to play fast. It's dope, man, Like I was blessed
- 14:04Speaker 4: to do the Shan for all the years, a Hall
- 14:06Speaker 4: of Fame coach. I love him to death everything he
- 14:08Speaker 4: taught me, and I'm extremely happy to be where I
- 14:11Speaker 4: am now trade anything.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Yeah, So, how did it feel after getting the dub
- 14:17Speaker 2: on you on your old coach?
- 14:18Speaker 1: Then?
- 14:19Speaker 3: Did you say?
- 14:20Speaker 4: What?
- 14:20Speaker 1: Did you say? What's up after?
- 14:22Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah ran up on me pre game? Yeah, he
- 14:28Speaker 3: up on me pre game?
- 14:30Speaker 4: Uh hit me a couple of times a sea.
- 14:35Speaker 3: Get you back, yeah, get you bag, but definitely wanted
- 14:39Speaker 3: that win. Yeah, I won every win, every win, every win.
- 14:44Speaker 2: You've played with one of the best of all times,
- 14:47Speaker 2: Drew Brees, protecting him left side lockdown for many, many years.
- 14:51Speaker 2: What does it feel like now protecting Tour. I'm not
- 14:55Speaker 2: even gonna try that last name. I'm over Yeah, exactly,
- 15:04Speaker 2: lose too.
- 15:06Speaker 4: Is incredible, man, incredible. It's a lot of similarities between
- 15:09Speaker 4: the two. I can, I can, I honestly say that,
- 15:13Speaker 4: a lot of similarity between the two. Both similar size, they're.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Both there, both five eleven claim six foot.
- 15:20Speaker 3: Go ahead, taller than Drew. Drew came down here.
- 15:23Speaker 4: He came down here and hang one hund with the team,
- 15:25Speaker 4: hung with me for a while, met with Tour for
- 15:28Speaker 4: a good while, and then t size him up. Yeah,
- 15:36Speaker 4: he was so happy about that. But a lot of
- 15:40Speaker 4: similarities between them two. Man, you know, I think so
- 15:43Speaker 4: Hoighly and Drew. That's the that's the go to my eyes,
- 15:46Speaker 4: the things that he was able to do and to
- 15:48Speaker 4: where the way he produced his production at the high
- 15:51Speaker 4: levels preparations. Insane Tour reminds me of Drew from his
- 15:56Speaker 4: his perspective, like the way he seized the fear of
- 16:00Speaker 4: what he sees the defense, the way he anticipates he's
- 16:04Speaker 4: throwing it to spots that the receiver is not there
- 16:07Speaker 4: and and they just I mean, it's it's crazy, man.
- 16:11Speaker 4: So his his pocket presence and his anticipation tight window
- 16:15Speaker 4: throws accuracy. I promise I'm putting it in the in
- 16:20Speaker 4: the realm of Drew Brees, I see a lot of similarities.
- 16:24Speaker 2: Who I mean, I was high on him early, man.
- 16:26Speaker 2: I mean I like what I like what he does.
- 16:28Speaker 2: He stays healthy, he could be special. I think time,
- 16:32Speaker 2: time will tell he is.
- 16:34Speaker 3: He is, definitely, Yeah, a lot of confidence.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I know what I'm saying. I don't know. I'm saying.
- 16:40Speaker 1: I don't believe.
- 16:41Speaker 2: I think he's one of the good ones, and I
- 16:43Speaker 2: think he has potential to be great, possibly if he
- 16:45Speaker 2: stays healthy.
- 16:45Speaker 1: We just know, you never know. It's a little too early.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Great Now quarterbacks have twenty of your careers. So he's
- 16:52Speaker 2: headed in the year five. So he's a quarter of
- 16:54Speaker 2: the way through. Like everywhere else.
- 16:56Speaker 3: I think it's four for him, though, I think it's
- 16:58Speaker 3: your four for two.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Look, he's a fifth of the way through.
- 17:04Speaker 2: But but tell me, you know, without doubling back, I
- 17:06Speaker 2: saw don't really want to double back on this game
- 17:09Speaker 2: because I just ain't seen it. Seventy points is just ridiculous.
- 17:12Speaker 2: The most I've ever been a part of. I think
- 17:15Speaker 2: was probably why Drew Brees was part of the Saint's
- 17:18Speaker 2: probably my rookie year. I think like mid the middle
- 17:21Speaker 2: of the season, he dropped like a sixty burger, sixty
- 17:24Speaker 2: something points maybe on the Colts, on the coats, on
- 17:26Speaker 2: the Colts, and I was like, this is unreal. Boy,
- 17:31Speaker 2: y'all went for seventy. So that's just O D O
- 17:33Speaker 2: D Let's just I just want to know. Three fifty
- 17:37Speaker 2: on the ground, yeah, three fifty in the air. As
- 17:41Speaker 2: an office of lineman, which one of you to feel
- 17:43Speaker 2: more accomplished about the lack.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Of pressures because y'all only let up two pressures during the.
- 17:47Speaker 2: Whole game, or like we big dog them boys up
- 17:49Speaker 2: front and ran it. You know, we made them like it.
- 17:52Speaker 2: You know, coaches be like, we're gonna run down their
- 17:54Speaker 2: mouths and make them like it.
- 17:55Speaker 1: And you were like, as a person, you're like, WHOA
- 17:57Speaker 1: all right? And as the office of the line and
- 17:59Speaker 1: you'd be like, yeah, you know you hit that.
- 18:02Speaker 2: I see when I see when I see torn shoulder,
- 18:04Speaker 2: shoulder roll is coming out with it's go to.
- 18:08Speaker 4: You know what time it is. It's I've seen Banjo
- 18:10Speaker 4: pregame in a week, you know what the turn up Benji.
- 18:15Speaker 3: But no, so so for.
- 18:16Speaker 4: Us offic the lineman like pass row is work, you
- 18:20Speaker 4: feel me like, that's that's objective number one. That's what
- 18:23Speaker 4: we have to accomplish. Like that, that's worked. Run game
- 18:27Speaker 4: is you get to you get to enjoy more. You know,
- 18:30Speaker 4: successful run game you get to make plays in a sense,
- 18:33Speaker 4: you know that that's my opportunity to make a first down,
- 18:36Speaker 4: to make a touchdown, you know what I mean.
- 18:37Speaker 3: So we love that. And passor is stressful. It's very stressful,
- 18:42Speaker 3: stressful job.
- 18:43Speaker 4: You don't know exactly where to put it back a
- 18:45Speaker 4: big where they're gonna get rid of the ball whatever,
- 18:48Speaker 4: running back like you got tracks and you got point
- 18:52Speaker 4: of attack, you know, you know what I mean, So
- 18:53Speaker 4: you know where you're trying to create that lane and where.
- 18:56Speaker 3: He's trying to go. So that run game is an
- 18:59Speaker 3: opportunity really make plays. That's how that's how I.
- 19:04Speaker 2: View so like past pro is where you show off
- 19:06Speaker 2: your feet. Work plays is where you show off your dominance.
- 19:11Speaker 4: Yeah yeah yeah, run places we get some highlights. Man,
- 19:13Speaker 4: we're trying to I'm trying to do.
- 19:17Speaker 1: On the on the second level, on the second level,
- 19:20Speaker 1: on the.
- 19:20Speaker 6: Second level, Okay, I got it on sail on the
- 19:29Speaker 6: first level, first level.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Gotta be you gotta got it that. It can't be.
- 19:34Speaker 1: It has to be that term edge rush, gotta be
- 19:38Speaker 1: on the edge guy.
- 19:41Speaker 4: Put down every spot, every spot on the field, hit
- 19:44Speaker 4: the ground.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Tackle every every spot, the tackle, playing the four eye.
- 19:49Speaker 4: Every spot on the field has hit the ground at
- 19:52Speaker 4: some point throughout my career.
- 19:54Speaker 2: Okay, all right, that's that's just offensive, just a fan
- 20:00Speaker 2: because I'm saying that I know.
- 20:03Speaker 3: What you do. I know you get busy. I already know.
- 20:06Speaker 2: All right, So which one do you prefer to? Past
- 20:08Speaker 2: past pro or run blocking? Which which were really like?
- 20:11Speaker 1: Yeah, like, look.
- 20:14Speaker 4: I love it, I love them both. Like I said,
- 20:15Speaker 4: the stress come with the with the past pro. You know,
- 20:18Speaker 4: like I said, you don't want to be the guy.
- 20:20Speaker 4: You don't want to be the guy to get beat.
- 20:21Speaker 4: You don't want to be the guy to get your
- 20:22Speaker 4: quarterback here. Ever, So that's that's more of a stressful feeling.
- 20:26Speaker 3: Uh. But it's fun though. It's fun playing that game.
- 20:28Speaker 4: It's fun getting the hands and you know, working the chests,
- 20:31Speaker 4: the chest mat, watching, studying you what you do, what
- 20:34Speaker 4: you like to do, try to take that.
- 20:35Speaker 3: Away, you know what I mean. So it's it's fun.
- 20:38Speaker 4: Building that game plan and going out there and trying
- 20:41Speaker 4: to execute that plan. But like I said, pastor stress
- 20:44Speaker 4: run game just when you can.
- 20:46Speaker 3: You can have fun. Man. You have fun with the game.
- 20:49Speaker 4: You can make plays, your playmaker, you know, create stats
- 20:53Speaker 4: just like just like the other positions.
- 20:55Speaker 3: If somebody hit.
- 20:56Speaker 4: To get a big run off my block, that's my run.
- 21:00Speaker 4: I want them forty five rushing yours. I just want
- 21:02Speaker 4: to put that on my man.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Put that, Put that on you know.
- 21:06Speaker 2: You know my theory, Bro, I've always said, nobody grew
- 21:09Speaker 2: up wanting to be an offensive lineman.
- 21:11Speaker 1: You know, like you didn't. You didn't like young Tea
- 21:13Speaker 1: Stead at eight years old. Wasn't like I want to
- 21:16Speaker 1: be the coldest left tackle in the game.
- 21:19Speaker 7: You on that line, man, early on that line early, Bro,
- 21:24Speaker 7: that was scarying. My post was the coach, So I
- 21:26Speaker 7: was pissed and he wouldn't let me run the ball.
- 21:28Speaker 7: I was fast.
- 21:29Speaker 2: But like I say, let's let's take this real quick
- 21:32Speaker 2: aside here, because I ain't never heard this part before week.
- 21:35Speaker 3: I knew you grew up.
- 21:36Speaker 1: You grew up with the rock in your hand. You
- 21:37Speaker 1: grew up playing basketball.
- 21:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I knew that part.
- 21:41Speaker 2: Let's I ain't never asked the origins off the lineman
- 21:44Speaker 2: t Stead.
- 21:45Speaker 1: Let's let's talk about this. You was a kid, You
- 21:47Speaker 1: was a jit. You was a little kid. Your daddy was.
- 21:50Speaker 2: A coach, the head coach, and he wouldn't let you
- 21:53Speaker 2: play any other position.
- 21:55Speaker 3: Man put me on the line.
- 21:56Speaker 4: Man, I was high, like when I'm begging yo every
- 22:00Speaker 4: by the coach kid running the ball player receiver.
- 22:04Speaker 2: Man saw he saw, he saw that dog and you
- 22:07Speaker 2: on the office line that you didn't see in yourself
- 22:09Speaker 2: at the time. Look, you know we lost against the Packers, right,
- 22:13Speaker 2: and I was upset, sick or whatever.
- 22:15Speaker 4: Uh.
- 22:15Speaker 2: I didn't even know who the tackle was going to
- 22:17Speaker 2: be up until game time. I saw that his last
- 22:19Speaker 2: name was Tom, And you know what I already thought,
- 22:23Speaker 2: Can my dog Zachary Tom beat little big brother of
- 22:28Speaker 2: Cam Tom, who was a foremer of after line? Yes,
- 22:32Speaker 2: that's Cam Tom, little big brother he's tall or bigger whatever.
- 22:35Speaker 2: I said, Oh, I know about you already.
- 22:38Speaker 1: You ain't gotta tell me nothing, not watching no film
- 22:43Speaker 1: on him. I know him already. I know his genetics.
- 22:45Speaker 1: That's why I'm so sick.
- 22:46Speaker 2: I ain't come out with a second that game, because
- 22:47Speaker 2: I like we talked about when you go to a
- 22:49Speaker 2: game knowing everything, like you like, oh, these are the
- 22:52Speaker 2: moves that's gonna work, and they all hitting. Like for you,
- 22:55Speaker 2: you're changing up your sets, bro, how do you decide
- 22:57Speaker 2: when you changed up your sets? By the way, because
- 22:58Speaker 2: you you're cold with with get into your spots and
- 23:02Speaker 2: also changing up your sets on how you want to
- 23:04Speaker 2: get to the spots, because I've seen you in terms
- 23:06Speaker 2: of pass pro the way you float.
- 23:09Speaker 1: It's not like a Lane Johnson, Like Lane Johnson.
- 23:11Speaker 2: Drops immediately back right yeah yeah yeah, and then like
- 23:14Speaker 2: you'll float out. But you also switch up these sets
- 23:16Speaker 2: where you'll try and jump them. And then when you jump,
- 23:19Speaker 2: somebody on film like Toront doesn't do as much. I'm
- 23:21Speaker 2: like yeah, because he's was like, but Toront's a dull,
- 23:23Speaker 2: Like Toront got a different mentality. Most of these office
- 23:26Speaker 2: the lineman just happened to be like fat people that
- 23:28Speaker 2: could play football.
- 23:30Speaker 1: Toront Is like, nah, I can't.
- 23:32Speaker 2: I came here to hoop like Toront Like, there's a
- 23:35Speaker 2: few offic the line in the league. I'm like, no,
- 23:37Speaker 2: they this is their passion and for yeah, but you
- 23:40Speaker 2: you you you probably say it. There's a lot of
- 23:42Speaker 2: people in the league in general that sometimes you be like, bro,
- 23:46Speaker 2: he's just out here because he the other people told
- 23:48Speaker 2: me he was good at it. You can tell when
- 23:50Speaker 2: people are passionate about their draft. So that's like, one
- 23:53Speaker 2: of the things I respect about you is you're passionate
- 23:54Speaker 2: about your craft. But like, what makes you change up
- 23:56Speaker 2: your sets? What makes you, you know, give up the
- 23:59Speaker 2: interior hand versus x T, your hair, the post or
- 24:02Speaker 2: whatever whatever that terminology is.
- 24:05Speaker 3: A man, that's that's through studying, studying being a student
- 24:08Speaker 3: of a game.
- 24:09Speaker 4: You know, watching guys thats been successful for a long
- 24:11Speaker 4: time before me taking bits and pieces of what I
- 24:15Speaker 4: can from them, working to my streps.
- 24:18Speaker 3: So you know, I came out as you know, really athletic.
- 24:20Speaker 3: Fast officer linement.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Tell them about that forty times, tell them tell them
- 24:24Speaker 1: about that thing.
- 24:25Speaker 2: Fast office lineman ever or for six nine for seven seven,
- 24:30Speaker 2: six for six five yes.
- 24:34Speaker 1: Six nine for seven seven officials.
- 24:37Speaker 4: Crazy, I'm faster.
- 24:40Speaker 1: I'm saying you were lighter than me at the time
- 24:42Speaker 1: I was heaving.
- 24:46Speaker 4: Yeah, it just comes from from studying and then as
- 24:49Speaker 4: I evolved over the years. I just want to keep
- 24:52Speaker 4: adding to my toolbox. So I work sets off season.
- 24:55Speaker 4: I worked sets on my off days. Still like today,
- 24:58Speaker 4: we got it. I got it in today, and just
- 25:01Speaker 4: trying to keep adding my toolbox. So I do them
- 25:04Speaker 4: in practice and they're successful, I'm go go do it
- 25:06Speaker 4: in a game. So jump sets, fake cut forty five degrees, says.
- 25:12Speaker 3: Selling the run. Vertical hand chops all as you want
- 25:16Speaker 3: to keep adding my toolbox.
- 25:18Speaker 2: Trying that little handschop is so rude, by the way,
- 25:20Speaker 2: like that for those you know, don't know that's off
- 25:23Speaker 2: the tackle.
- 25:24Speaker 1: You're like, you're setting this vertical set. You see an.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Office tackle like chest pop up like it's a breastplate
- 25:31Speaker 2: is explode exposed, and what do you do? You run
- 25:34Speaker 2: a long arm for that breastplate and immediately so you
- 25:37Speaker 2: as a defensive end, you're rushing against the tackle, he
- 25:39Speaker 2: shows his chest, You hit his chest, trying to flate
- 25:41Speaker 2: that thing on contact, even if you place it right
- 25:45Speaker 2: a good office a line of great office alignment, like
- 25:47Speaker 2: Tron is going to immediately chop your hand down before
- 25:50Speaker 2: you can get a grip on.
- 25:51Speaker 1: The chest plate. So your whole momentum then is diving downwards.
- 25:55Speaker 1: You're going downward dog in the middle of a plate.
- 25:57Speaker 2: And that's not what you want to be as a
- 25:59Speaker 2: defensive Like it's such a despectable because I'm like bro,
- 26:03Speaker 2: I had perfect placement.
- 26:04Speaker 3: Almost yeah, yeah, almost.
- 26:07Speaker 2: I want to I want to know for real. You
- 26:08Speaker 2: know we talked about just to ask you about the
- 26:10Speaker 2: locker room vibes. Who controls the ox in the locker
- 26:14Speaker 2: room and the ox I mean the auxiliary cord, the boombox,
- 26:16Speaker 2: the music played, you know, like you you you in
- 26:19Speaker 2: New Orleans locker room. You know it's it's cam Jay
- 26:22Speaker 2: in the corner time. I got the move box going crazy.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Now I'm relinquishing that this year, Like I'm letting the
- 26:29Speaker 2: younger they want to play Young Boy twenty four to seven, I'm.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Letting them do.
- 26:34Speaker 2: I said, there's other there's other artists. Now I rock
- 26:37Speaker 2: with Young Boy, but like there's other artists. Give me yeah,
- 26:40Speaker 2: but we rocking Young Boy twenty four to seven. You know,
- 26:42Speaker 2: the DBS.
- 26:43Speaker 1: Who controls the OX in the Miami locker room.
- 26:46Speaker 3: Our young guys handle it to uh Dan and Wadle.
- 26:49Speaker 3: He probably he'd probably be OX number one. He might
- 26:54Speaker 3: be DJ one and then cater Kohu our Nickel he
- 26:59Speaker 3: he he controls the OX as well, so h but
- 27:02Speaker 3: Jele and Watle he usually he usually got the music.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Okay, it's not it's not teach that I'm with it.
- 27:09Speaker 4: I'm gonna play me the whole you feel me, like.
- 27:12Speaker 3: The whole pre game, repeat all that. So no, I
- 27:15Speaker 3: don't give it, don't give me the chords up.
- 27:18Speaker 2: I'm just saying, like, you know, there was a time
- 27:20Speaker 2: where you know, you dropped, you dropped the album headed
- 27:22Speaker 2: into a training camp and we had we had Tront
- 27:25Speaker 2: Armstead album Going Crazy, deleted my favorite songs off the
- 27:28Speaker 2: off the hardware fam And I'm still upset about this.
- 27:31Speaker 3: You know, audio audio, I don't care.
- 27:34Speaker 1: I don't care if it had that you know whoop
- 27:36Speaker 1: that trick vibes to it. You know what I'm saying,
- 27:38Speaker 1: that rock with the game, yeah out out there.
- 27:43Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, you know really.
- 27:45Speaker 2: Lily, I said he when I hit you last year,
- 27:47Speaker 2: I said hey, I said hey, Toron, you still got that,
- 27:49Speaker 2: uh that that's that little ep.
- 27:50Speaker 1: That I like, I like you still got that.
- 27:52Speaker 3: Man.
- 27:52Speaker 2: I deleted off the hardware for y'all that don't know.
- 27:55Speaker 2: My man, toront Arms said, is a phenomenal rapper and
- 27:58Speaker 2: his quality has watched the growth from year what is
- 28:01Speaker 2: it year one or two when you started rapping for
- 28:03Speaker 2: Reel real to now it's phenomenal beats based boom going crazy,
- 28:07Speaker 2: lyrics going, I mean, but there was some There were
- 28:11Speaker 2: some early tracks, the little what I call hood baby anthems,
- 28:15Speaker 2: you know, like when I'm when I'm either about to
- 28:16Speaker 2: get in a fight or about to go go to
- 28:18Speaker 2: war with my boys, like you need some of that,
- 28:20Speaker 2: you know, had that that young Tyrie on there like
- 28:24Speaker 2: boys was going crazy early on.
- 28:26Speaker 3: Yeah, we had some.
- 28:27Speaker 4: We definitely had some backyard basement basement style wrap me
- 28:32Speaker 4: and Me and mark ingel in the in the Closet
- 28:35Speaker 4: recording only only had one mic, so you know, we
- 28:38Speaker 4: kind of one pair of headphones to be like saying
- 28:41Speaker 4: stuff at the same time, listen to the beat at
- 28:43Speaker 4: the same time, and just trying to mark you go
- 28:46Speaker 4: all right.
- 28:47Speaker 3: So it was it was very make it happen. Password
- 28:50Speaker 3: but now we're in the studio. Man, we interscope you
- 28:53Speaker 3: feel me? You know, No I don't.
- 28:56Speaker 1: I don't feel tell me about it. What you mean?
- 28:57Speaker 2: We interscotrap like you got a real deal now.
- 29:01Speaker 1: I was like, dang you an industry planting?
- 29:06Speaker 3: Now dang I recorded recorded? Man, they got me. You
- 29:11Speaker 3: know where it is on the man walk in Uh
- 29:14Speaker 3: whenever I'm in l A, get to it the inns.
- 29:16Speaker 4: And then I still abby down in New Orleans, you know,
- 29:20Speaker 4: still still get that get there rocking too, so.
- 29:23Speaker 2: That that penmanship is always there while you while you're
- 29:25Speaker 2: strapping folks on the pen on the field, you go
- 29:28Speaker 2: straight to the to the notepad after like yeah.
- 29:31Speaker 3: Bart feel me, I gotta keep that.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Hey, when when does that actually happen?
- 29:35Speaker 2: Bro? Because like I've seen your work ethic, you know,
- 29:38Speaker 2: side by side for for a number of years.
- 29:40Speaker 3: Bro.
- 29:40Speaker 1: You're always on the field. You're always hitting bags.
- 29:42Speaker 2: Even on your off days, you're working on your craft.
- 29:45Speaker 2: So when do you have time to do your hobbies?
- 29:47Speaker 2: Clearly music is it's a hobby for now until you retire,
- 29:50Speaker 2: and it could be a mainstream thing for real, because

- 30:03Speaker 2: So I'm just letting y'all know, bars like, where do

- 30:07Speaker 2: an off season thing or you are you? Are you
- 30:08Speaker 2: still recording in season two?
- 30:10Speaker 4: I really don't record much in season. I usually do
- 30:12Speaker 4: all my music off season, and I'm mostly righting, mostly
- 30:17Speaker 4: right when I'm traveling. So anytime I touch a flight
- 30:20Speaker 4: and I just I get the beasts going. I don't know,
- 30:22Speaker 4: I don't know what it is about traveling, but it
- 30:25Speaker 4: just open that creative space for me and I just,
- 30:27Speaker 4: you know, try to try to tap in and speak
- 30:29Speaker 4: with stuff substance, talk about experiences, tell real life stories,
- 30:34Speaker 4: the things that I've seen, done or heard, you know,
- 30:36Speaker 4: and traveling always just it gets pep.
- 30:39Speaker 1: Where I need to be got a bank in America
- 30:41Speaker 1: and it's not in America.
- 30:42Speaker 3: Yeah, banking is not America, you fear me.
- 30:47Speaker 2: Yeah, the lie lies so cold. There's a couple of
- 30:49Speaker 2: them lines that always going to stick out to me.
- 30:51Speaker 2: How yell us guy, do all the time tellers today.
- 30:53Speaker 2: We just know I was like I was out there
- 30:55Speaker 2: rocking the yellows like, yeah, I've got I got, I
- 31:01Speaker 2: got rapper dreams, Bro, and you out there living that lifestyle,
- 31:03Speaker 2: all right? Pivot from you heard you know the music
- 31:06Speaker 2: life because oh you know you got tracks and albums
- 31:09Speaker 2: for days, Bro.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Like three fire off questions. Who's your hardest match up
- 31:12Speaker 1: in terms of edge, blitzing, linebacker whatever?
- 31:15Speaker 3: It is?
- 31:15Speaker 2: Hardest matchup to go against your stand of eleven?
- 31:19Speaker 3: Okay, bon Miller, Miles Gear.
- 31:22Speaker 2: Who Who's faster? Do you think Jayleen Waddle or Tyra
- 31:25Speaker 2: Kill not toping speed?
- 31:26Speaker 1: Acceleration break the fastest?
- 31:29Speaker 3: Do to every single person?
- 31:30Speaker 2: Oh yeah, okay, Okay, I don't know if I care
- 31:35Speaker 2: about I just want to know what's the what's the
- 31:37Speaker 2: meal you missed the most?
- 31:38Speaker 1: From New Orleans?
- 31:41Speaker 4: I'd have been really just that that Thursday Vegas, you
- 31:45Speaker 4: know what I mean?
- 31:46Speaker 3: Like Thursday Vega or Rocking Soccer them to Vegas Rocking Socke?
- 31:51Speaker 3: Have I had them? Two more? Boy?
- 31:54Speaker 1: The little upside down roll you feel me? Rocket sockey go.
- 31:59Speaker 2: The lamp chops with who that shrimp lamb chops coming
- 32:02Speaker 2: from DESI Vegas with all.
- 32:04Speaker 3: That those two the man, that's my top two restaurants
- 32:08Speaker 3: all the time.
- 32:09Speaker 2: All right, Faker desert though, okay, last one then bread pudding,
- 32:14Speaker 2: Bread pudding or banana pudding.
- 32:17Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that's tough. I'd probably say bread. Putting my
- 32:23Speaker 3: chef here, Tray made a variety of that.
- 32:28Speaker 2: He got money, Tell her he got he got money.
- 32:31Speaker 2: I got his own chef.
- 32:32Speaker 3: Nice talking to you.
- 32:33Speaker 2: I appreciate I appreciate you, Bro, Thanks for tapping in.

- 32:39Speaker 2: got you. You know, I text you. I appreciate your doubt.
- 32:43Speaker 2: You know, we needed nothing else from you because you
- 32:45Speaker 2: gave me the world already. Bro, I appreciate you time.
- 32:48Speaker 3: Love brother, always man always.
- 32:58Speaker 2: That was my dog, Toronto Arms said, doing everything that
- 33:01Speaker 2: he did, making making it great, which separates him from
- 33:05Speaker 2: you know, just the office lineman to one of them
- 33:07Speaker 2: real dogs.
- 33:08Speaker 1: Like he earns respect and he doesn't. He doesn't sett
- 33:11Speaker 1: up for anything less than the highest level competition.
- 33:14Speaker 6: Uh.
- 33:14Speaker 2: But I just want to transition, man, what it's like
- 33:16Speaker 2: we talked about get off the guys to give you
- 33:18Speaker 2: know about the moves that we use when we get
- 33:21Speaker 2: off the edge. I just want to talk about the
- 33:23Speaker 2: basic foundation of what it is to be an edge rusher.
- 33:26Speaker 2: When you're on the edge, you're in your stance, and
- 33:29Speaker 2: that could be a four point which means both hands
- 33:31Speaker 2: down on the ground. That's a three point, which is
- 33:33Speaker 2: one hand is down on the ground, and some guys
- 33:35Speaker 2: like to switch.
- 33:36Speaker 1: It up two point.
- 33:37Speaker 2: You know you're coming off just your feet top feet,
- 33:40Speaker 2: looking like a like a track star with no with
- 33:42Speaker 2: no with no blocks. Get off is the most important
- 33:46Speaker 2: thing for a defensive linment, and that could be switching
- 33:48Speaker 2: up tempo in terms of how are you going to
- 33:51Speaker 2: get off the ball? Or you know von Miller the
- 33:54Speaker 2: way he switches up his tempo in terms of exceletterting
- 33:57Speaker 2: at his fastest or sometimes delaying himself so he's throwing
- 34:01Speaker 2: off office of the lineman's timing. But for me, it's
- 34:04Speaker 2: all about that true get off. It's I'm four points
- 34:07Speaker 2: to the ground, I'm keying in on where the ball is.
- 34:09Speaker 2: Center has the ball, and I already know, I've already
- 34:11Speaker 2: indicated when the senter's gonna snap. He could be on
- 34:14Speaker 2: head count or could be on the quarterbacks cadence. All
- 34:16Speaker 2: that information is being processed before the play. I know
- 34:19Speaker 2: exactly where it wants to be hiked and when the
- 34:21Speaker 2: ball is snapped.
- 34:22Speaker 1: That's true get off.
- 34:23Speaker 2: That is explosion from your two point of pressure with
- 34:26Speaker 2: your feet in the ground to getting into your best
- 34:29Speaker 2: running form. It's track stance.
- 34:31Speaker 1: You are trying to get your best get off. I e.
- 34:34Speaker 1: Von Miller and his ghost i e.
- 34:36Speaker 2: Michael Parsons and the way he explodes off the ball
- 34:39Speaker 2: Shack Shaq Barrett. There's so many guys who have elite
- 34:42Speaker 2: get off that can win rushes without ever needing to
- 34:44Speaker 2: move because of their anticipation. Get off your stance, your alignment,
- 34:49Speaker 2: your ability to anticipate to when the ball snapped, appreciate it.
- 34:54Speaker 1: That's me too.
