- 0:00Speaker 1: Off the Bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Okay, here we go where the.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Plays get broken down and science gets denied to.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Come off the bench.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Our two of Off the Bench Live from the Raising
- 0:12Speaker 1: Kine Studio.
- 0:23Speaker 3: You love it, yep, Hey, I don't know.
- 0:50Speaker 4: Why do you need me to signal you in every
- 0:52Speaker 4: single time?
- 0:52Speaker 5: Well, I started talking to the Microsoft. Look, he had
- 0:56Speaker 5: already played, had a late Western break.
- 0:59Speaker 6: There's that thing for me to play. I already played
- 1:01Speaker 6: the open. Make sure this is the open.
- 1:05Speaker 2: It's my first time, Matt said three.
- 1:07Speaker 6: Minutes, like, this is your first time hearing those open
- 1:10Speaker 6: ever in your life.
- 1:11Speaker 5: I just learned that the river is indeed wet.
- 1:15Speaker 2: First year right here.
- 1:17Speaker 7: I mean, you did sit here for like three minutes
- 1:20Speaker 7: and doing nothing, and you're like long telling me you
- 1:22Speaker 7: have left.
- 1:22Speaker 2: She's like, oh, like a minute. You're like, well, I
- 1:24Speaker 2: really got to go.
- 1:25Speaker 6: It seems like a little side step like you were like,
- 1:28Speaker 6: and I was like, just go.
- 1:30Speaker 7: Hear him stomping down the hallway coming back into the
- 1:33Speaker 7: studio shuffle. He's like, I want to let him know
- 1:37Speaker 7: that I'm trying to get back in time, so let
- 1:39Speaker 7: me stomp.
- 1:40Speaker 5: I didn't. I was just walking stopping. See I thought
- 1:42Speaker 5: I was trying. Did I ran a four or five
- 1:45Speaker 5: down that hallway? Get back here.
- 1:48Speaker 4: You definitely don't wash your hands though.
- 1:50Speaker 5: Oh yeah, we'll splash splash, But look I didn't peel
- 1:55Speaker 5: on my hands that so.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, what are we even doing?
- 1:59Speaker 4: Yeah? I wash her?
- 2:01Speaker 2: What's the what's the big deal? Guys?
- 2:03Speaker 4: Get it? I agree, I'm lady Kane.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Didn't wash her hands now one time. One time.
- 2:10Speaker 4: I've never seen her do it.
- 2:12Speaker 2: She's been in some dirty places too.
- 2:15Speaker 6: She's got several children, she has got several different dogs.
- 2:20Speaker 5: We're looking up with them, pink dogs. We know the
- 2:22Speaker 5: offspring there.
- 2:23Speaker 4: Then the normal looking one.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Dang, what was what does that mean? Normal looking? Wow?
- 2:30Speaker 8: Wow?
- 2:32Speaker 9: So the you got the normal looking one of you
- 2:36Speaker 9: got them other one other one?
- 2:40Speaker 4: Okay, that's what I meant.
- 2:42Speaker 2: That's problematic.
- 2:46Speaker 4: I didn't just stephen A. Smith impressed it on this
- 2:48Speaker 4: radio station.
- 2:49Speaker 2: You got the pink dogs and then the normal ones.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Oh my goodness.
- 2:54Speaker 4: I meant the original color.
- 2:55Speaker 2: She's like, see the original one? Yeah, okay, I got it.
- 2:59Speaker 2: Get coloring it.
- 3:01Speaker 4: Yeah mmm, I'm not going to dig myself deeper into
- 3:09Speaker 4: smart alright, calling me. Alex Jones, all right, hey, look,
- 3:18Speaker 4: thank you all y'all for listening.
- 3:19Speaker 2: It's Monday morning.
- 3:21Speaker 5: Jay Pesters out of town Gallivant and Mobile, Alabama because
- 3:25Speaker 5: he he frequents there throughout the year. Loves Mobile. Thank
- 3:31Speaker 5: you for all the listeners at Mobile.
- 3:33Speaker 4: I wonder when he got out BUCkies when he stopped there.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Little Sammy, Yeah, the little BBQ Sammy.
- 3:40Speaker 5: I gotta say, unpopular opinion, based on my last experience,
- 3:47Speaker 5: barbecue Sammy at BUCkies was not that good?
- 3:51Speaker 4: Was experience when we went.
- 3:53Speaker 5: I got the pretty simple. It wasn't very good. A
- 3:57Speaker 5: lot of fatty pieces in it, like I like a
- 4:00Speaker 5: little marbling. Yeah, last mixed it up a little bit.
- 4:05Speaker 5: It was ham turkey, bacon like a cheddar cheese good.
- 4:13Speaker 5: I think the the newness and the I don't know,
- 4:20Speaker 5: just something you've never seen before. Of that first couple
- 4:24Speaker 5: of times you go to BUCkies is under like, what
- 4:27Speaker 5: is this place? People probably vacation here. They need to
- 4:30Speaker 5: put a resort neck next to it so we can
- 4:32Speaker 5: go here all day long. I think once that wears off.
- 4:36Speaker 4: A little bit, you're kind of like whatever about it.
- 4:42Speaker 2: You're a little bit more. It's kind of a nuisance
- 4:46Speaker 2: to go there, you think.
- 4:47Speaker 5: So I'm gonna say, of take, and I didn't know
- 4:51Speaker 5: I was going to come in this is a hot take.
- 4:53Speaker 2: BUCkies is a little overrated.
- 4:55Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know if that's a hot ta.
- 4:57Speaker 6: I like personally disagree with it, just because I like
- 5:00Speaker 6: it and I like to make the stop and I
- 5:01Speaker 6: like to make it to do about it. But like
- 5:03Speaker 6: I I understand it, and I don't think it's as
- 5:06Speaker 6: hot as a take as people think.
- 5:09Speaker 7: It's fun a lot of good snacks. At the end
- 5:11Speaker 7: of the day, it's gas station, but.
- 5:13Speaker 4: I love a gas station.
- 5:15Speaker 5: The bathroom is not over it is properly incredible at so.
- 5:20Speaker 5: But like I say that because knowing that I'm going
- 5:24Speaker 5: to next time a pass one, I'm going to stop,
- 5:26Speaker 5: I still say that I'm not I'm not not going
- 5:30Speaker 5: because of my overrated take. Yeah, but the way people
- 5:34Speaker 5: revere it and put it on a pedestal.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Is pretty wild to me. Now I get it.
- 5:41Speaker 4: I agree with that.
- 5:41Speaker 5: I did the same thing the first handful of times
- 5:44Speaker 5: I went. I was like, oh my god, I can't
- 5:45Speaker 5: wait to go to Florida, because right that's what I'm
- 5:50Speaker 5: very excited about. But like afterwards, it's like, oh man,
- 5:54Speaker 5: every kid's got to go. It is like Friday afternoons,
- 6:01Speaker 5: like this ain't gonna be quick. I used to be
- 6:03Speaker 5: like most like most dads, like we like to make
- 6:06Speaker 5: sure the thermostat's right. We like to make sure the
- 6:08Speaker 5: light bulbs are changed. There's batteries in the remotes. And
- 6:11Speaker 5: we also like to make good time. Yeah, we like
- 6:14Speaker 5: to make good time.
- 6:15Speaker 4: We're not stopping.
- 6:16Speaker 2: We're not stopping. And if like we stop, that's got
- 6:18Speaker 2: the timer.
- 6:19Speaker 5: Like you get out by the time this the tank
- 6:23Speaker 5: of gas is full, you need to be back out here.
- 6:26Speaker 5: It ain't happening in a buckets. It ain't happening in
- 6:28Speaker 5: a BUCkies.
- 6:29Speaker 7: The one, the one at Beach Express in Alabama. Yeah,
- 6:31Speaker 7: that bucket says a bigger tailgating crowd than every FCS
- 6:35Speaker 7: athletic program combined. They're like sitting in their trunks, stuff
- 6:40Speaker 7: in their face with the brisket sand which, like, guys,
- 6:42Speaker 7: we got to get in and out. We are bottlenecked
- 6:44Speaker 7: here in the BUCkies, sparking up, move on about your.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Dead parking lot is is a train wreck.
- 6:49Speaker 5: And you went to Mississippi great and getting getting in
- 6:52Speaker 5: like trying to find a stall for gas. This is challenging. Now,
- 6:56Speaker 5: there's always going to be because there's so many. You
- 6:58Speaker 5: can find one, but knife fighting your way through the
- 7:01Speaker 5: parking lot. It's a little challenging. And then, like you
- 7:03Speaker 5: have young kids, you kind of want to be that
- 7:08Speaker 5: that family with kids on a leash a little bit.
- 7:10Speaker 5: There's a lot of people, there's a lot of in
- 7:12Speaker 5: and out traffic, and everybody's moving. There's no one like standing.
- 7:14Speaker 5: Everyone's moving.
- 7:15Speaker 2: So you get the r V.
- 7:18Speaker 4: Your RV a little overwhelming in there, your.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Parental intrusive thoughts take over sometimes. Yeah, it is.
- 7:25Speaker 6: Over stimulating in a BUCkies. So I have to go
- 7:28Speaker 6: with a purpose, Like I'm like, I'm gonna get this,
- 7:31Speaker 6: I'm gonna get that, and then I'm getting out of here.
- 7:33Speaker 6: Obviously I'm going to these nice ass bathrooms too.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I'm hitting the bathroom because they're fantastic.
- 7:39Speaker 6: Pay the people that clean the bathroom whatever you want
- 7:41Speaker 6: to pay them. Like we were talking about the salaries
- 7:43Speaker 6: at BUCkies the other day, like.
- 7:46Speaker 10: Like six figure salaries.
- 7:49Speaker 2: If I'm paying anybody.
- 7:50Speaker 4: Pay the bathroom six figure.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Salary, it's going to be the bathroom cleaning manager. Because
- 7:56Speaker 2: a lot of people go there for that. That's in
- 7:59Speaker 2: your stop. That is a huge draw.
- 8:02Speaker 7: Yeah, your fountain drink, your beaver nuggets, and then you're out.
- 8:06Speaker 4: No diet coke.
- 8:07Speaker 5: Though, No die coke, So that is a that's an
- 8:10Speaker 5: indicting it is Matt drops it in the complaint box.
- 8:13Speaker 5: Every dummy's there every single time. Anyway, with that being said,
- 8:18Speaker 5: I will be stopping at BUCkies next time I pass one,
- 8:20Speaker 5: me too. I'll get a sandwich, I'll go the bathroom
- 8:23Speaker 5: and I'll get the generic version of die coke, whatever
- 8:27Speaker 5: that is, and be and be pissed about it.
- 8:29Speaker 6: Just get the can and like get some ice and
- 8:32Speaker 6: just pretend it's a fountain drink. I feel like can
- 8:34Speaker 6: is closest to fountain drink.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Yeah, so the carbonation in it.
- 8:38Speaker 5: Yeah, but to get the can, you gotta walk about
- 8:40Speaker 5: one hundred and fifty yards.
- 8:42Speaker 6: Yeah, it is super far from everywhere else.
- 8:45Speaker 2: You just trun a four to five down the hallway. Matt,
- 8:47Speaker 2: You're good. That's a good point. That's a really good points.
- 8:53Speaker 5: Hard to run a straight line with all those people
- 8:54Speaker 5: in the way, though, Yeah, knocking over folks. Anyway, Hey,
- 9:01Speaker 5: we just got done discussing the incredible sweeps of the
- 9:06Speaker 5: South Carolina game Cocks. Well they weren't the only sweep
- 9:10Speaker 5: happening with the LSU Tigers. LSU softball dominates stays hot.
- 9:17Speaker 5: They got hot, and guess what they stayed hot. They
- 9:20Speaker 5: sweep Auburn, Poor eagle, Auburn Tigers. They beat them Thursday
- 9:25Speaker 5: night and then was it twice to the doubleheader?
- 9:28Speaker 4: Yeah, it feels like you're burying the lead a little
- 9:32Speaker 4: bit here.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Yeah, go ahead.
- 9:35Speaker 4: Like a ridiculous score.
- 9:36Speaker 6: Like the most ridiculous you've ever scored in an SEC
- 9:41Speaker 6: softball game, I'm pretty sure, is what I saw this weekend.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Yeah, we call those runs, I wonder.
- 9:45Speaker 4: Yeah, my bad runs, That's what I would say, obviously.
- 9:51Speaker 6: I mean it's the same thing. A run is worth
- 9:53Speaker 6: a point, is it not? Anyways, scored a lot of them.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Forty five nothing.
- 10:00Speaker 10: Oh did I not say it?
- 10:02Speaker 4: It's twenty five runs in a game.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Twenty five runs. It's a lot so many.
- 10:08Speaker 5: They won three to nothing on Thursday, Game one Saturday,
- 10:12Speaker 5: twenty five to nothing.
- 10:14Speaker 7: Should you call the series at that point? Should you
- 10:16Speaker 7: have to play a third game?
- 10:17Speaker 5: I actually think that Auburn team they should just be
- 10:21Speaker 5: dropped out.
- 10:22Speaker 2: Of the right, I think you should just call it.
- 10:24Speaker 2: At that point. It's just like sorry, the postseason, you
- 10:26Speaker 2: don't have to play the third game. I would love
- 10:28Speaker 2: to say good effort to the ol ladies.
- 10:29Speaker 4: But that wasn't even an effort at all.
- 10:31Speaker 2: They didn't even try.
- 10:33Speaker 5: And then Game two on Saturday, they scored, They scored
- 10:36Speaker 5: a couple. Finally they lost seven to two. Though I
- 10:41Speaker 5: did the math on the LSUE softball's last four games
- 10:44Speaker 5: because they played McNeice last Tuesday. Yeah, they've won I
- 10:48Speaker 5: combined fifty one to two.
- 10:51Speaker 2: Is that good?
- 10:51Speaker 4: That's ridiculous?
- 10:53Speaker 5: Actually eight one to two. And Division one College Athletics. Yeah,
- 11:00Speaker 5: in the last four games. I mean obviously capped off
- 11:03Speaker 5: by a twenty five to nothing game, but.
- 11:05Speaker 6: Like good because it was sixteen zero in the midweek, right, yeah,
- 11:08Speaker 6: sixteen zero in the midwek think about runs per inning
- 11:11Speaker 6: because if you're run ruling them, you're only playing five innings,
- 11:14Speaker 6: and softball think about the runs period in the eight
- 11:18Speaker 6: eight and looking back at the twenty five to zero game,
- 11:21Speaker 6: it was eight in the first inning, seven in the third,
- 11:26Speaker 6: and then exploded for ten runs in the fourth inning.
- 11:30Speaker 2: Cheez, like that is why so it's almost seven, right.
- 11:34Speaker 5: Yeahs so to their last four have been ten run rules. Yeah,
- 11:39Speaker 5: so like you're maybe you're exactly right. They've played what because.
- 11:43Speaker 2: You run ruled the midweek? Yeah, you run rolled on Saturday.
- 11:46Speaker 7: That's only ten innings and you scored white. They were
- 11:49Speaker 7: forty that's forty one runs and ten innings.
- 11:51Speaker 5: So they played a total of twenty four innings. They
- 11:53Speaker 5: batted twenty three and they scored fifth. They scored fifty
- 11:57Speaker 5: one runs.
- 11:58Speaker 8: Good for them, that's awesome.
- 12:01Speaker 5: And we keep talking about get hot at the right time,
- 12:06Speaker 5: stay hot, try to make a run. LSU softball is
- 12:11Speaker 5: they are starting to slowly position themselves to a spot
- 12:14Speaker 5: where they could absolutely make a run. And they're playing well.
- 12:18Speaker 5: Obviously they're hitting well, but they are an exciting team
- 12:22Speaker 5: to watch. So if you have not like that, we
- 12:24Speaker 5: talk about them multiple times every single week, especially the
- 12:28Speaker 5: last couple of weeks when things are starting to roll
- 12:30Speaker 5: and click for the LSU softball team. If you have
- 12:33Speaker 5: not tuned into them yet this year, do yourself that favor.
- 12:38Speaker 5: Watch a game. It is high paced, they are exciting
- 12:41Speaker 5: to watch. The team is really good and playing really good.
- 12:45Speaker 5: Right now, Yeah, fifty one to two runs in the
- 12:50Speaker 5: last four games LSU softball team has played.
- 12:54Speaker 6: I mean we also showed that Jayla Lester and centerfield
- 12:58Speaker 6: robbing that home run Thursday night. Like they're just playing
- 13:01Speaker 6: well on all facets of the game, pitching, defense, offense.
- 13:05Speaker 4: They're they're clicking right now.
- 13:07Speaker 2: Ye complimentary softball.
- 13:08Speaker 7: Guys, Complimentary softball from the baseball team.
- 13:11Speaker 2: We got it, wet.
- 13:13Speaker 6: I feel like we got complimentary baseball this past weekend.
- 13:16Speaker 6: Like you only use seven pictures throughout the series when
- 13:21Speaker 6: you've used seven pitchers.
- 13:22Speaker 2: In one game, right the state game.
- 13:26Speaker 6: That's what I was gonna say, Like last Friday, you
- 13:28Speaker 6: use seven pictures in the first game of the Mississippi
- 13:31Speaker 6: State game. And then we're over here like what are
- 13:33Speaker 6: we gonna do? Cason Evans is out, Cooper More is out.
- 13:38Speaker 8: What are we gonna do?
- 13:38Speaker 6: And then you have somebody like Marco's pause step up,
- 13:41Speaker 6: And that's exactly what you need at the end of
- 13:43Speaker 6: the season, Like you need somebody that hasn't stepped up
- 13:46Speaker 6: before to do it. That's the key every season. That's
- 13:50Speaker 6: that has to happen. And then we know Steven Milam
- 13:53Speaker 6: has the clutch gene. And although he's been kind of
- 13:57Speaker 6: quiet during the regular season. He has like historically heated
- 14:02Speaker 6: up toward the end, and he is doing that. So
- 14:05Speaker 6: not sorry, like I stole softballs thunder a.
- 14:07Speaker 2: Little bit, but like, well LS dominates the diamond. Yeah,
- 14:11Speaker 2: both diamonds this weekend.
- 14:14Speaker 4: And I just say baseball should be playing like softball.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Yeah, softball is heated up. Yeah, at the right time.
- 14:20Speaker 5: They close out the season with a sweep of Auburn
- 14:23Speaker 5: overall record thirty seven and sixteen, thirteen and eleven in conference.
- 14:27Speaker 5: They clinched the eighth seed in the SEC tournament. And
- 14:32Speaker 5: let's see that tournament begins Wednesday, Wednesday, six thirty pm.
- 14:37Speaker 5: They will play the number nine seed, Georgia. Then it
- 14:41Speaker 5: looks like if if they win that, they played thurs
- 14:44Speaker 5: they play Oklahoma. Well there we're doe, We're dude, beat Oclahma.
- 14:49Speaker 7: That's the thing, right, Like, because we said in the
- 14:50Speaker 7: studio and watched the Remember they played in Nebraska and
- 14:54Speaker 7: UCF and think was UCLA right in the tournament and
- 14:57Speaker 7: they didn't play well at all. And remember coming into
- 15:00Speaker 7: the last season they were undefeated before conference play, everybody
- 15:04Speaker 7: had hyped them up.
- 15:05Speaker 2: They tapered off down the stretch. It's kind of the opposite.
- 15:07Speaker 7: This year struggled a little bit and out of conference
- 15:09Speaker 7: play now they played a lot tougher competition than they
- 15:12Speaker 7: did the year before. But this team has filmed Astride
- 15:15Speaker 7: at the right time. Like I know, a lot of
- 15:16Speaker 7: people are like, oh, what's gonna be the same thing,
- 15:19Speaker 7: and a Cutch Treen is gonna have them playing great.
- 15:20Speaker 7: They're gonna taper off down the stretch. Kind of flip
- 15:23Speaker 7: it this year, right, and I get it, Like, yes,
- 15:25Speaker 7: it's eight to nine. Anybody could win that game. The
- 15:27Speaker 7: winner gets Oklahoma. Congratulations. But I'm not saying they're gonna
- 15:31Speaker 7: win those games, but it's the best time to play them.
- 15:34Speaker 7: Like this is this team's rolling.
- 15:36Speaker 5: And look like if you get past Georgia, don't't overlook
- 15:39Speaker 5: that you play Oklahoma. Of course that's a daunting task,
- 15:44Speaker 5: but let's not forget that. What kind of started there
- 15:48Speaker 5: them getting hot was they did take a game off
- 15:51Speaker 5: of Oh yeah, they lost the series, kept it close,
- 15:56Speaker 5: but they won a game. They kept it all close,
- 15:59Speaker 5: and then since the point they played really really damn well.
- 16:03Speaker 5: So again, we encourage you do what you want with
- 16:07Speaker 5: your life, free country, but we encourage you. If you
- 16:09Speaker 5: haven't tuned in, Wednesday would be a pretty good dime
- 16:12Speaker 5: as the SEC Tournament play gets kicked off.
- 16:15Speaker 6: Also, the SEC Tournament in softball and baseball is like
- 16:18Speaker 6: one of my favorite events of the entire year. It's
- 16:21Speaker 6: just so much baseball and so much soft on, elite
- 16:24Speaker 6: teams all playing each other.
- 16:26Speaker 5: Well, tune in, sure, those Lady Tager is on as
- 16:30Speaker 5: we go. Crush everybody.
- 16:34Speaker 4: Just crush them all, Just crush them all.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Just keep beating people. Twenty five nothing.
- 16:37Speaker 8: I love it all.
- 16:39Speaker 5: Right, there we go, go softball, go baseball, keep dominating
- 16:43Speaker 5: the diamonds. Diamonds are a girl's best friend.
- 16:45Speaker 2: Do you know that they are?
- 16:50Speaker 4: Mother's Day is coming up?
- 16:52Speaker 2: Not Auburn girls though, No.
- 16:54Speaker 6: Auburn girls did not appreciates. Yeah, hate to see a
- 16:59Speaker 6: diamond coming sucks this up.
- 17:01Speaker 2: I'm sorry about that.
- 17:03Speaker 5: Yeah, Mother's Day is coming up to Sorry, not sorry, sorry,
- 17:05Speaker 5: not sorry, but Mother's Day is coming up.
- 17:07Speaker 2: Don't forget? What do you forget? Yeah? Forgot.
- 17:14Speaker 4: He's not used to having to do Mother's Day.
- 17:17Speaker 2: That's true, guys, I have a mother. Oh true, that's true.
- 17:23Speaker 2: Technically we all look kind of it looks like I
- 17:25Speaker 2: was made in a lab. Guys.
- 17:26Speaker 6: Well, I sent you that picture and I was like, hey,
- 17:29Speaker 6: is everything okay at home? Like there's a lady on
- 17:33Speaker 6: a stretcher and a kid holding a squirrel up. I
- 17:35Speaker 6: was just making sure everything was okay.
- 17:37Speaker 2: That was pretty messed up to you.
- 17:39Speaker 7: I mean, I thank you for checking, but to make
- 17:40Speaker 7: a joke about it when they're clearly going through stuff.
- 17:45Speaker 2: Not great. And you guys laughed at it, so you're
- 17:48Speaker 2: just as guilty, mat But.
- 17:49Speaker 4: Did y'all enjoy the squirrel?
- 17:51Speaker 5: But oh yeah, obviously respect for your family for being
- 17:54Speaker 5: funny though, Yeah, the squirrel was great, mom, So you'd
- 18:00Speaker 5: rather to be laughed with than laughed at.
- 18:03Speaker 2: But it laughs to laugh, right.
- 18:05Speaker 5: So I hope everything's okay in Livingston. I mean they're fine, okay.
- 18:15Speaker 5: It is LP, so like R okay is different than
- 18:19Speaker 5: most people's okay. Hey, but if you're listening to us
- 18:22Speaker 5: from the LP right now, we love you and we
- 18:24Speaker 5: thank you. Thanks for spending your Monday morning with.
- 18:27Speaker 2: Us as well.
- 18:27Speaker 5: It's a tripod rolling with Lady Kine and we're going
- 18:29Speaker 5: to be with you for the rest until ten am.
- 18:31Speaker 5: Marler's jumping in at nine am. We get to make
- 18:34Speaker 5: fun of him a little bit. He's going to be
- 18:36Speaker 5: about thirteen hundred milligrams of caffeine in by that point.
- 18:39Speaker 5: But stick with us right here, off the.
- 18:40Speaker 1: Bench, Off the bench, all right.
- 18:45Speaker 5: Well, I think that probably the most important part of
- 18:47Speaker 5: a house would be the roof. So if you need
- 18:50Speaker 5: a roof repair a roof replacement, go to the best
- 18:54Speaker 5: darn't roofing company in Louisiana's Pelicanroof pelicanroof dot com. And
- 19:00Speaker 5: guess what they have a little Mother's Day giveaway right now.
- 19:04Speaker 5: They're giving away a free roof to a mother. So
- 19:06Speaker 5: if you want to nominate your mother, your wife, whatever
- 19:09Speaker 5: it is their website, you can nominate it right there.
- 19:12Speaker 5: They are going to give it away. And why are
- 19:14Speaker 5: they doing that. They don't have to do this. They
- 19:16Speaker 5: want to give back to the community. Why because they
- 19:18Speaker 5: are a Louisiana community through and through offices and Laft
- 19:22Speaker 5: office and Baton rouge. And it's just a way for
- 19:24Speaker 5: them to get back, way to get back to the
- 19:25Speaker 5: most important people in all of our lives, which is
- 19:30Speaker 5: the mothers. Mo's out there, we thank you, we appreciate it.
- 19:32Speaker 5: And Pelican wants to give away a free roof, So
- 19:35Speaker 5: go sign up your mom, your wife, whoever it is
- 19:38Speaker 5: right there, a Pelican Repelican roof dot.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Com Off the Bench, we have to Jacob Hester and
- 19:43Speaker 1: Matt Flynn.
- 19:44Speaker 2: Okay, here we go.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Well, the plays get broken down, then science gets denied.
- 19:49Speaker 2: This I got to come off the bitch.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Hour two of Off the Bench Live from the Raisin
- 19:53Speaker 1: Kines Studio.
- 20:28Speaker 5: Yeah, hey about I don't know.
- 20:31Speaker 4: Why do you need me to signal you in every
- 20:33Speaker 4: single time?
- 20:34Speaker 5: Well, I started talking to my Microsoft like he had
- 20:38Speaker 5: already played.
- 20:38Speaker 2: I had a late Qustern break.
- 20:41Speaker 6: There's nothing for me to play. I already played the open.
- 20:44Speaker 6: Make sure this is the open.
- 20:46Speaker 2: It's my first time, Matt.
- 20:48Speaker 6: Said three minutes, like, this is your first time hearing
- 20:51Speaker 6: those open ever in your life.
- 20:53Speaker 2: I just learned that the river is Indeed, we first
- 20:57Speaker 2: year right here.
- 20:59Speaker 7: I mean, you did sit here for like three minutes
- 21:01Speaker 7: and doing nothing, and you're like, long, just telling me
- 21:04Speaker 7: you have left.
- 21:04Speaker 2: She's like, oh, like a minute, You're like, well, I
- 21:05Speaker 2: really got to go. It seems like a.
- 21:08Speaker 4: Little side step like you were like, and I was like, just.
- 21:11Speaker 7: Go get hear him stomping down the hallway coming back
- 21:14Speaker 7: into the studio, did a little shuffle. He's like, I
- 21:18Speaker 7: want to let him know that I'm trying to get
- 21:20Speaker 7: back in time, so let me stomp.
- 21:22Speaker 2: I didn't.
- 21:22Speaker 5: I was just walking stopping. See I thought I was trying.
- 21:26Speaker 5: Did I ran a four or five down that hallway.
- 21:28Speaker 4: I'm proud of you.
- 21:29Speaker 2: Get back here.
- 21:30Speaker 4: You definitely don't wash your hands though.
- 21:32Speaker 5: Oh yeah, we'll splash splash, But look I didn't peel
- 21:37Speaker 5: on my hands that so.
- 21:39Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, what are we even doing?
- 21:41Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 21:41Speaker 2: Why wash your what's the what's the big deal? Guys?
- 21:44Speaker 4: I get it. I agree.
- 21:47Speaker 2: I'm a lady. Kane didn't wash her hands now one time.
- 21:51Speaker 2: One time.
- 21:52Speaker 4: I've never seen her do it.
- 21:54Speaker 2: She's been in some dirty places too.
- 21:56Speaker 6: I know she's got several children. She has got by
- 21:59Speaker 6: several different dogs.
- 22:01Speaker 5: We're looking up with them, pink dogs. We know the
- 22:04Speaker 5: offspring there.
- 22:05Speaker 4: Then the normal looking one.
- 22:08Speaker 2: Dang, what was what does that mean? Normal looking? Wow?
- 22:12Speaker 8: Wow?
- 22:14Speaker 9: So the you got the normal looking one and you
- 22:18Speaker 9: got them other.
- 22:19Speaker 8: One O one?
- 22:21Speaker 4: Okay, that's what I meant.
- 22:23Speaker 2: That's problematic.
- 22:28Speaker 4: I didn't just Stephen A. Smith impression on this radio station.
- 22:31Speaker 2: You got the pink dogs and then the normal ones.
- 22:33Speaker 2: Oh my goodness, I.
- 22:35Speaker 4: Meant the original color.
- 22:37Speaker 2: She's like, oh see the original one. Yeah, okay, I
- 22:40Speaker 2: got it. Get color and mh.
- 22:48Speaker 6: I'm not going to dig myself deeper into smart all right,
- 22:53Speaker 6: calling me Alex Jones.
- 22:56Speaker 5: All right, Hey, look, thank you all y'all for listening.
- 23:01Speaker 2: It's Monday morning.
- 23:02Speaker 5: Jake Pesters out of town Gallivant and and Mobile, Alabama
- 23:07Speaker 5: because he he frequents there throughout the year. Loves Mobile.
- 23:12Speaker 5: Thank you for all the listeners at Mobile.
- 23:14Speaker 6: I wonder when he got out BUCkies when he stopped there.
- 23:18Speaker 2: Little Sammy, Yeah, little BBQ Sammy.
- 23:21Speaker 5: I gotta say, unpopular opinion, based on my last experience,
- 23:28Speaker 5: barbecue Sammy at BUCkies was not that good. I got
- 23:34Speaker 5: the pretty simple. It wasn't very good. A lot of
- 23:39Speaker 5: fatty pieces in it. I like, and I like, I
- 23:42Speaker 5: like a little marbling. Yeah, last mixed it up a
- 23:46Speaker 5: little bit. It was ham turkey bacon like a cheddar
- 23:50Speaker 5: cheese good. I think the the newness and the I
- 24:01Speaker 5: don't know, just something you've never seen before of that
- 24:04Speaker 5: first couple of times you go to BUCkies is unbelible,
- 24:08Speaker 5: Like what is this place? People probably vacation here. They
- 24:11Speaker 5: need to put a resort neck next to it so
- 24:13Speaker 5: we can go here all day long. Right, I think
- 24:16Speaker 5: once that wears off a little.
- 24:18Speaker 4: Bit, you're kind of like whatever about it, You're.
- 24:24Speaker 5: A little bit more. It's kind of a nuisance together there,
- 24:28Speaker 5: you think. So I'm gonna say of take, and I
- 24:32Speaker 5: didn't know I was gonna come in.
- 24:33Speaker 10: I think this is a hot take.
- 24:35Speaker 2: BUCkies is a little overrated.
- 24:36Speaker 8: Yeah, I don't know if that's a hot take.
- 24:39Speaker 6: I like personally disagree with it, just because I like
- 24:41Speaker 6: it and I like to make the stop and I
- 24:43Speaker 6: like to make it to do about it. But like
- 24:45Speaker 6: I I understand it, and I don't think it's as
- 24:48Speaker 6: hot as a take as people think it is.
- 24:50Speaker 7: Yeah, it's fun, a lot of good snacks. At the
- 24:52Speaker 7: end of the day, it's gas station.
- 24:55Speaker 4: But I love a gas station.
- 24:56Speaker 5: The bathroom's not over it, no properly incredible. So but
- 25:02Speaker 5: like I say that because knowing that I'm going next
- 25:05Speaker 5: time a pass one, I'm gonna stop.
- 25:07Speaker 2: I still say that. I'm not.
- 25:10Speaker 5: I'm not not going because of my overrated take. But
- 25:15Speaker 5: the way people revere it and put it on a
- 25:18Speaker 5: pedestal is pretty wild to me. Now I get it.
- 25:22Speaker 4: Because I agree with that.
- 25:23Speaker 5: I did the same thing the first handful of times
- 25:26Speaker 5: I went. I was like, oh my god, I can't
- 25:27Speaker 5: wait to go to Florida because bukies, Right, That's what
- 25:31Speaker 5: I'm very excited about. But like afterwards, it's like, oh man,
- 25:36Speaker 5: every kid's got to go. It is like Friday afternoon travel.
- 25:42Speaker 5: Like this ain't gonna be quick. I used to like
- 25:45Speaker 5: most like most dads like, we like to make sure
- 25:47Speaker 5: the thermostat's right. We like to make sure the light
- 25:50Speaker 5: bulbs are changed. There's batteries in the remotes. And we
- 25:53Speaker 5: also like to make good time. We like to make
- 25:56Speaker 5: good time.
- 25:56Speaker 4: We're not stopping.
- 25:57Speaker 2: We're not stopping. And if we stop, it's got the timer.
- 26:01Speaker 5: Like you get out by the time this the tank
- 26:04Speaker 5: of gas is full, you need to be back out here.
- 26:07Speaker 2: It ain't happening in a buckets. And it ain't happening
- 26:09Speaker 2: in a buckets.
- 26:10Speaker 7: The one, the one at Beach Express in Alabama. Yeah,
- 26:13Speaker 7: that bucket says a bigger tailgating crowd than every FCS
- 26:16Speaker 7: athletic program combined. They're like sitting in their trunks, stuff
- 26:21Speaker 7: in their face with the brisket sandwhich, like, guys, we
- 26:24Speaker 7: got to get in and out. We are bottlenecked here
- 26:25Speaker 7: in the BUCkies sparking lot. Move on about your deck.
- 26:28Speaker 7: Parking lot is is a train wreck.
- 26:31Speaker 5: And you went in to Mississippi great and getting getting
- 26:33Speaker 5: in like trying to find a stall for gas.
- 26:35Speaker 2: This is challenging.
- 26:37Speaker 5: Now there's always going to be because there's so many
- 26:40Speaker 5: you can find one, but knife fighting your way through
- 26:42Speaker 5: the parking lot. It's a little challenging. And then like
- 26:44Speaker 5: you have young kids, kind of want to be that
- 26:49Speaker 5: that family with kids on a leash a little bit.
- 26:52Speaker 5: There's a lot of people, there's a lot of in
- 26:53Speaker 5: and out traffic, and everybody's moving. There's not only like standing,
- 26:56Speaker 5: everyone's moving.
- 26:57Speaker 7: So kind of did you get the r V You're
- 27:00Speaker 7: PrV a little overwhelming in there, your parental intrusive thoughts
- 27:03Speaker 7: take over sometimes.
- 27:04Speaker 6: Yeah, it is over stimulating in a BUCkies. So I
- 27:10Speaker 6: have to go with a purpose, Like I'm like, I'm
- 27:12Speaker 6: gonna get this, I'm gonna get that, and then I'm
- 27:13Speaker 6: getting out of here. Obviously I'm going to these nice
- 27:17Speaker 6: ass bathrooms too.
- 27:18Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I'm hitting the bathroom because they're fantastic.
- 27:20Speaker 6: Pay the people that clean the bathroom whatever you want
- 27:23Speaker 6: to pay them. Like we were talking about the salaries
- 27:25Speaker 6: at BUCkies the other day, like like.
- 27:28Speaker 10: Six figure salaries.
- 27:30Speaker 2: If I'm paying anybody.
- 27:32Speaker 4: Pay the bathroom six figure.
- 27:34Speaker 2: Salary, it's going to be the bathroom cleaning manager, because
- 27:37Speaker 2: a lot of people go there for that. That's the reason.
- 27:41Speaker 2: That is a huge draw.
- 27:44Speaker 7: Yeah, your fountain drink, your beaver nuggets, and you're out.
- 27:48Speaker 8: No diet coke though, no die coked.
- 27:51Speaker 7: So that is a that's an indict it is Matt
- 27:53Speaker 7: drops it in the complaint box. Every dummy's there every
- 27:56Speaker 7: single time. Anyway, with that being said, I'll be stopping
- 28:00Speaker 7: at BUCkies next time. I past one, me too, and
- 28:02Speaker 7: I'll get a sandwich. I'll go to the bathroom and
- 28:05Speaker 7: I'll get the generic version of dicoke whatever that is,
- 28:09Speaker 7: and be pissed about it.
- 28:11Speaker 6: Just get the can and like get some ice and
- 28:14Speaker 6: just pretend it's a fountain drink. I feel like can
- 28:16Speaker 6: is closest to fountain drink.
- 28:17Speaker 2: Yeah, so the carbonation in it.
- 28:20Speaker 5: Yeah, but to get the can, you gotta walk about
- 28:22Speaker 5: one hundred and fifty yards.
- 28:24Speaker 6: Yeah, it is super far from everywhere else you.
- 28:27Speaker 2: Just try a four or five down the hallway. Matt,
- 28:29Speaker 2: You're good. That's a good point. That's a really good points.
- 28:34Speaker 5: Hard to run a straight line with all those people
- 28:36Speaker 5: in the way, though, Yeah, knocking over folks. Anyway, Hey,
- 28:43Speaker 5: we just got done discussing the incredible sweeps of the
- 28:47Speaker 5: South Carolina game Cocks. Well they weren't the only sweep
- 28:51Speaker 5: happening with the LSU Tigers. ELSU Softball dominates stays hot.
- 28:58Speaker 5: They got hot, and guess what they stayed hot? They
- 29:01Speaker 5: sweep Auburn, poor eagle, Auburn Tigers. They beat them Thursday
- 29:07Speaker 5: night and then was it twice to the doubleheader?
- 29:10Speaker 4: Yeah, there's at it feels like you're burying the lead
- 29:14Speaker 4: a little bit here.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Yeah, go ahead.
- 29:16Speaker 6: Like a ridiculous score, Like the most ridiculous score you've
- 29:20Speaker 6: ever scored in an SEC softball game, I'm pretty sure,
- 29:23Speaker 6: is what I saw this weekend. Yeah, we call those
- 29:26Speaker 6: runs wonder Yeah, my bad runs.
- 29:30Speaker 2: That's what I would say, obviously.
- 29:33Speaker 6: I mean it's the same thing. A run is worth
- 29:35Speaker 6: a point, is it not? Anyways, scored a lot of
- 29:39Speaker 6: them five nothing.
- 29:42Speaker 4: Did I not say it?
- 29:43Speaker 3: No?
- 29:43Speaker 6: My bad?
- 29:43Speaker 4: It's twenty five runs in a game.
- 29:47Speaker 7: Twenty five runs, that's a lot so many.
- 29:50Speaker 5: They won three to nothing on Thursday. Game one Saturday
- 29:53Speaker 5: twenty five to nothing.
- 29:55Speaker 7: Should you call the series at that point? Like, should
- 29:57Speaker 7: you have to play a third game?
- 29:59Speaker 5: I actually I think that Auburn team they should just
- 30:03Speaker 5: be dropped out of the.
- 30:04Speaker 7: Right I think you should just call it at that point.
- 30:06Speaker 7: It just like in the postseason, you don't have to
- 30:08Speaker 7: play the third game.
- 30:09Speaker 2: I would love to say good effort to the ol ladies, but.
- 30:11Speaker 4: That wasn't even an effort at all.
- 30:13Speaker 2: They didn't even try.
- 30:15Speaker 5: And then Game two on Saturday, they scored, they scored
- 30:18Speaker 5: a couple. Finally they lost seven to two. Though I
- 30:22Speaker 5: did the math on the LSUE softball's last four games
- 30:25Speaker 5: because they played McNeice last Tuesday. Yeah, they've won combined
- 30:30Speaker 5: fifty one to two.
- 30:32Speaker 2: Is that good?
- 30:33Speaker 4: That's ridiculous?
- 30:34Speaker 5: Actually eight one to two. And Division one College Athletics. Yeah,
- 30:41Speaker 5: in the last four games. I mean obviously capped off
- 30:45Speaker 5: by a twenty five to nothing game.
- 30:47Speaker 6: But like because it was sixteen zero in the midweek, right, yeah,
- 30:50Speaker 6: sixteen zero in the midwek think about runs per inning
- 30:53Speaker 6: because if you're run ruling them you're only playing five
- 30:55Speaker 6: innings in softball.
- 30:56Speaker 2: Think about the runs per in.
- 31:00Speaker 6: Eight and looking back at the twenty five to zero game,
- 31:03Speaker 6: it was eight in the first inning, seven in the third,
- 31:07Speaker 6: and then exploded for ten runs in the fourth inning.
- 31:11Speaker 5: Cheez, like that is why. So it's about seven right,
- 31:15Speaker 5: Yeah to Their last four have been ten run runs. Yeah,
- 31:20Speaker 5: so like you're you're exactly right. They've played what because you.
- 31:25Speaker 7: Run ruled the midweek? Yeah, you run ruled on Saturday.
- 31:27Speaker 7: That's only ten innings and you scored white. They were
- 31:30Speaker 7: forty that's forty one runs in ten innings.
- 31:33Speaker 5: So they played a total of twenty four innings, they
- 31:35Speaker 5: batted twenty three and they scored fifth. They scored fifty
- 31:39Speaker 5: one runs.
- 31:40Speaker 8: Good for them, that's awesome.
- 31:43Speaker 5: And we keep talking about the rhythm. Get hot at
- 31:46Speaker 5: the right time, stay hot, try to make a run.
- 31:50Speaker 5: LSU softball is they are starting to slowly position themselves
- 31:55Speaker 5: to a spot where they could absolutely make a run.
- 31:58Speaker 2: And they're playing well.
- 32:00Speaker 5: Obviously they're hitting well, but they are an exciting team
- 32:03Speaker 5: to watch. So if you have not like that, we
- 32:06Speaker 5: talk about them multiple times every single week, especially the
- 32:10Speaker 5: last couple of weeks when things are starting to roll
- 32:12Speaker 5: and click for the LSU softball team. If you have
- 32:15Speaker 5: not tuned into them yet this year, do yourself that favor.
- 32:19Speaker 5: Watch a game. It is high paced, they are exciting
- 32:22Speaker 5: to watch. The team is really good and playing really
- 32:26Speaker 5: good right now. Yeah, fifty one to two runs in
- 32:31Speaker 5: the last four games LSU softball team has played.
- 32:36Speaker 6: I mean we also showed that Jayla Lester and centerfield
- 32:40Speaker 6: robbing that home run Thursday night too.
- 32:41Speaker 4: Like they're just.
- 32:42Speaker 6: Playing well on all facets of the game, pitching, defense, offense.
- 32:46Speaker 4: They're they're clicking right now.
- 32:48Speaker 2: Yep.
- 32:48Speaker 7: Complimentary softball, guys, complimentary softball we've been wanting from the
- 32:52Speaker 7: baseball team. We got it well.
- 32:55Speaker 6: I feel like we got complimentary baseball this past week.
- 32:58Speaker 6: And like you only use seven pictures throughout the series
- 33:03Speaker 6: when you've used seven pictures in one.
- 33:04Speaker 2: Game, right, Like think about the State game.
- 33:07Speaker 6: That's what I was gonna say, Like last Friday, you
- 33:09Speaker 6: use seven pictures in the first game of the Mississippi
- 33:13Speaker 6: State game. And then we're over here, like what are
- 33:15Speaker 6: we gonna do? Cason Evans is out, Cooper More is out.
- 33:19Speaker 8: What are we gonna do?
- 33:20Speaker 6: And then you have somebody like Marco's pause step up,
- 33:22Speaker 6: and that's exactly what you need at the end of
- 33:24Speaker 6: the season, Like you need somebody that hasn't stepped up
- 33:27Speaker 6: before to do it. That's the key every season. That's
- 33:32Speaker 6: that has to happen. And then we know Steven Milam
- 33:35Speaker 6: has the clutch gene and although he's been kind of
- 33:38Speaker 6: quiet during the regular season, he has like historically heated
- 33:44Speaker 6: up toward the end and he is doing that. So
- 33:46Speaker 6: not sorry, I feel like I stole softballs thunder a.
- 33:49Speaker 5: Little bit, but like, well, LSU dominates the diamond, both
- 33:53Speaker 5: diamonds this weekend, and.
- 33:56Speaker 4: I'll let you say, baseball should be playing like softball.
- 33:58Speaker 5: Yeah, softball is heated up, Yeah, at the right time.
- 34:02Speaker 5: They close out the season with a sweep of Auburn
- 34:05Speaker 5: overall record thirty seven and sixteen, thirteen and eleven in conference.
- 34:09Speaker 5: They clinched the eight seed in the SEC tournament, and
- 34:13Speaker 5: let's see that tournament begins Wednesday, Wednesday, six thirty pm.
- 34:18Speaker 5: They will play the number nine seed, Georgia, and then
- 34:23Speaker 5: it looks like if they win that they played Thursday,
- 34:26Speaker 5: they play Oklahoma.
- 34:28Speaker 2: There we're do We're dude, beat Oklahoma.
- 34:30Speaker 7: That's the thing, right, because we sat in the studio
- 34:32Speaker 7: and watched the Remember they played in Nebraska and UCF
- 34:36Speaker 7: and I think it was UCLA right in the tournament.
- 34:39Speaker 2: And they didn't play well at all.
- 34:40Speaker 7: And remember coming to the last season, they were undefeated
- 34:44Speaker 7: before conference play, everybody had hyped them up. They tapered
- 34:47Speaker 7: off down the stretch. It's kind of the opposite. This
- 34:49Speaker 7: year struggled a little bit and out of conference play.
- 34:51Speaker 7: Now they played a lot tougher competition than they did
- 34:54Speaker 7: the year before. But this team has found it stride
- 34:56Speaker 7: at the right time. Like I know a lot of
- 34:58Speaker 7: people are like, oh, what's gonna be the same thing,
- 35:00Speaker 7: and a Cutch tream is gonna have them playing great.
- 35:02Speaker 7: They're gonna taper off down the stretch. Kind of flip
- 35:04Speaker 7: it this year, right, And I get it, Like, yes,
- 35:06Speaker 7: it's eight to nine. Anybody could win that game. The
- 35:09Speaker 7: winner gets Oklahoma, congratulations. But I'm not so they're gonna
- 35:13Speaker 7: win those games. But it's the best time to play them,
- 35:15Speaker 7: Like this is this team's rolling.
- 35:17Speaker 5: And look like if you get past Georgia, don't want
- 35:20Speaker 5: to overlook that you play Oklahoma. Of course that's a
- 35:25Speaker 5: daunting task, but let's not forget that. What kind of
- 35:28Speaker 5: started there them getting hot was they did take a
- 35:32Speaker 5: game off of OM. Yeah, they lost the series, kept
- 35:35Speaker 5: it close series, but they won a game. They kept
- 35:40Speaker 5: it all close, and then since that point they played really,
- 35:43Speaker 5: really damn well. So again, we encourage you. Do what
- 35:48Speaker 5: you want with your life, free country, but we encourage you.
- 35:51Speaker 5: If you haven't tuned in, Wednesday would be a pretty
- 35:53Speaker 5: good time as the SEC Tournament play gets kicked off.
- 35:56Speaker 6: Also, the SEC Tournament in softball and baseball, it's like
- 36:00Speaker 6: one of my favorite events of the entire year. It's
- 36:03Speaker 6: just so much baseball and so much soft on, elite
- 36:06Speaker 6: teams all playing each other.
- 36:08Speaker 5: Well, tune in, sure, those lady tag is on as
- 36:12Speaker 5: we go. Crush everybody.
- 36:16Speaker 4: Just crush them all, Just.
- 36:17Speaker 2: Crush them all. Just keep beating people twenty five nothing.
- 36:19Speaker 8: I love it all.
- 36:20Speaker 2: Right, there we.
- 36:22Speaker 5: Go, go softball, go baseball, keep dominating the diamonds.
- 36:25Speaker 2: Diamonds are a girl's best friend.
- 36:26Speaker 4: Do you know that they are? Mother's Day is coming up?
- 36:33Speaker 2: Not Auburn girls though, No.
- 36:36Speaker 6: Auburn girls did not appreciate. Yeah, I hate to see
- 36:40Speaker 6: a diamond coming sucks this up.
- 36:43Speaker 2: I'm sorry about that. Yeah, Mother's Day is.
- 36:45Speaker 4: Coming up to Sorry not sorry, sorry, not.
- 36:47Speaker 5: Sorry, but Mother's Day has come up. Don't forget?
- 36:53Speaker 2: What do you forget? Yeah? Forgot?
- 36:56Speaker 4: He's not used to having to do Mother's Day.
- 36:59Speaker 2: That's true, guys, I have a mother. Oh true, that's true.
- 37:04Speaker 2: Technically we all look kind of it looks like I
- 37:06Speaker 2: was made in a lab. Guys.
- 37:07Speaker 6: Well, I sent you that picture and I was like, hey,
- 37:11Speaker 6: is everything okay at home? Like there's a lady on
- 37:14Speaker 6: a stretcher and a kid holding a squirrel up.
- 37:16Speaker 4: I was just making sure everything.
- 37:18Speaker 8: Was in pay.
- 37:18Speaker 7: That was pretty messed up to you. I mean, I
- 37:21Speaker 7: thank you you're checking. But to make a joke about
- 37:23Speaker 7: it when they're clearly going through stuff.
- 37:26Speaker 2: Not great.
- 37:28Speaker 7: And you guys laughed at it, so you're just as
- 37:30Speaker 7: a guilty mat But.
- 37:31Speaker 4: Did y'all enjoy the squirrel?
- 37:33Speaker 5: But yeah, obviously respect to your family for being funny. Though, Yeah,
- 37:39Speaker 5: the squirrel was great. Mom so would rather to be
- 37:42Speaker 5: laughed with and laughed at, but it laughs to laugh, right,
- 37:46Speaker 5: So I hope everything's okay in Livingston?
- 37:52Speaker 7: I mean, de fine, okay, okay as it is LP,
- 37:58Speaker 7: so like a you're okay is different than most people's okay.
- 38:02Speaker 5: Hey, but if you're listening to us from the LP

- 40:58Speaker 7: I like it and he goes along with those skies

- 41:39Speaker 5: you for not drifting in and out. We thank you
- 41:40Speaker 5: for tuning in, joining us all morning long. Jake's gone
- 41:45Speaker 5: getting a little weird with it. We've talked a lot
- 41:47Speaker 5: of sports though we've stayed semi on time. We'll blame
- 41:53Speaker 5: Will for going along in that last one.
- 41:56Speaker 8: Just talk so much, talk, so much goodness.
- 41:58Speaker 5: Gracious, uh l football. He got a couple of new
- 42:01Speaker 5: commitments yesterday. Big deal Taylor. It is a big deal.
- 42:05Speaker 5: Tied end out of Rusting.
- 42:07Speaker 2: Uh yeah, it's a big deal. And he's a big play. Yeah.
- 42:10Speaker 2: Six' six almost.
- 42:11Speaker 7: Two hundred and fifty, pounds number one tight end in the,
- 42:14Speaker 7: country top ten player in the, state eleventh ranked. Nationally
- 42:19Speaker 7: that's according to two four Seven. Sports this guy's a
- 42:22Speaker 7: stud plays football and basketball At rusting is projected to
- 42:26Speaker 7: play both AT. Lsu so if you worried About Will
- 42:28Speaker 7: wade getting players, boom he got it with the hope
- 42:30Speaker 7: Of Lane. Kiffin so there's a basketball recruit there.
- 42:34Speaker 2: For you in the.
- 42:34Speaker 7: Future got him a second. Player you may have gotten
- 42:37Speaker 7: him a second but you'd have to wait a. Year but,
- 42:38Speaker 7: uh we have got him a guy so Amat hudson's,
- 42:41Speaker 7: Father antonio actually played basketball here for four years AT.
- 42:45Speaker 2: Lsu two to.
- 42:46Speaker 7: Five pretty good basketball player, here, YEAH i mean TWICE
- 42:49Speaker 7: Sec All Tournament. Team this is a guy that if
- 42:53Speaker 7: you want to splash in the, offseason if you're a
- 42:56Speaker 7: fan and you're, like, hey there's not a lot of
- 42:57Speaker 7: big news we need to. Splash this is a. Splash
- 42:59Speaker 7: Commit you got it over the. WEEKEND i, mean number
- 43:01Speaker 7: one tight end in the. Country we all think That
- 43:05Speaker 7: Trades green is going to be a stud here in
- 43:07Speaker 7: The Lane kiffin. Offense this guy's kind of the next
- 43:10Speaker 7: to do it. Right Like trade has played football and,
- 43:12Speaker 7: basketball Lamt hudson's football and. BASKETBALL i think he's gonna
- 43:16Speaker 7: thrive if he ultimately the commitment does stick Comes lusu
- 43:19Speaker 7: in That Lane kiffin.
- 43:20Speaker 2: Offense huge get for The. Tigers you know what really
- 43:22Speaker 2: kind OF i don't know this to be.
- 43:25Speaker 5: Truth, well what kind of makes me excited about this
- 43:29Speaker 5: is you know that there's some recruiting pitch that they're
- 43:32Speaker 5: giving to, him five, stars six foot six tight. End
- 43:36Speaker 5: what does that remind you? Of, okay your current six
- 43:38Speaker 5: foot seven tight. End so we've talked about How trades
- 43:42Speaker 5: could be one of the most dominant offensive players in
- 43:44Speaker 5: college football next year if us correctly there is a
- 43:48Speaker 5: recruiting pitch that was giving to this young man From
- 43:51Speaker 5: rusting to make him. Commit there Could what would your
- 43:55Speaker 5: question be if you are hit him or his family
- 43:59Speaker 5: asking Lane, kiff what would your first question, be how
- 44:02Speaker 5: are you gonna use?
- 44:02Speaker 2: Me how are you gonna use?
- 44:03Speaker 5: Me you're gonna have to explain to him exactly how
- 44:06Speaker 5: you're gonna use him and what that plan. Is and,
- 44:08Speaker 5: obviously this kid's five star getting recruited by. Everybody hearing
- 44:11Speaker 5: a bunch of different plans from a bunch of different,
- 44:13Speaker 5: people bunch of different people have probably won a lot
- 44:15Speaker 5: of championships in college. Football, well guess what he's hearing
- 44:18Speaker 5: the plan THAT lsu has for Tray DEAs and, saying
- 44:22Speaker 5: this is how we're going to use, Him this is
- 44:24Speaker 5: how we're gonna use. You so that makes me feel
- 44:26Speaker 5: good for the. Future but more, importantly this made me
- 44:29Speaker 5: feel better about where we, are where we are right
- 44:32Speaker 5: now and the plan for trade Des because if you're
- 44:35Speaker 5: selling the best tight end in the, country the eleventh
- 44:39Speaker 5: ranc player nationally and he looks a lot like your
- 44:42Speaker 5: current tight, end that means you got a good. Plan
- 44:45Speaker 5: that's what makes me feel good about.
- 44:47Speaker 7: This, well not only that we talked about it After
- 44:49Speaker 7: wade was. Hired we were, saying, Hey Malki Lane kiff
- 44:53Speaker 7: and Will Wade Jay, johnson like you got a rock
- 44:55Speaker 7: star lineup of head. Coaches if you're a two sport
- 44:57Speaker 7: athlete that wants to play football and, basketball find me
- 45:01Speaker 7: a duo that's gonna put you in a better position
- 45:04Speaker 7: to win Than Lane kiffin And Will. Wade that combo of,
- 45:06Speaker 7: guys you're gonna see a lot more two sport athletes
- 45:09Speaker 7: come and play AT lsu because you kind of got
- 45:11Speaker 7: a top notch coach regardless of.
- 45:12Speaker 2: Sport that's an interesting.
- 45:13Speaker 5: Point AND i guess when was the last time we
- 45:15Speaker 5: saw a successful two sport guy play AT? Lsu at?
- 45:20Speaker 5: Least it has it ever been? BASEBALL i, Mean i'm,
- 45:24Speaker 5: sorry has it ever been?
- 45:25Speaker 2: Basketball and?
- 45:25Speaker 3: Football?
- 45:25Speaker 7: Been McDonald played a little bit of, basketball not his
- 45:28Speaker 7: whole career, here BUT i would Say Chris jackson the
- 45:32Speaker 7: kicker as far AS i mean legitimate modern day Jud.
- 45:38Speaker 5: Jones BUT i don't, THINK i, mean has it been
- 45:41Speaker 5: done football and. Basketball it's tough just because the season's.
- 45:46Speaker 5: Overlap Like trey has tried to do. It Ronald martin
- 45:48Speaker 5: tried to do it a few years. Ago didn't quite.
- 45:51Speaker 7: Work he was on the basketball team for about a
- 45:53Speaker 7: year And want'll been a pretty good safety.
- 45:55Speaker 2: Here but we will see see how it. Works, well
- 45:58Speaker 2: it doesn't happen a. Lot we'll see how it. Goes
- 45:59Speaker 2: we'll see if it.
- 46:00Speaker 5: Works hopefully it's not one of those situations like our
- 46:02Speaker 5: Guys Sean jordan that we played. WITH i was told
- 46:05Speaker 5: About Derek dooley that he could also wrestle. Here we
- 46:09Speaker 5: don't have a wrestling. Team we do have the basketball
- 46:12Speaker 5: team kind of almost one.
- 46:15Speaker 2: Player we gotta. Five we're getting. CLOSE i think we
- 46:20Speaker 2: have we Gotta we got a guy over the.
- 46:23Speaker 5: Weekend that's big win all the way, around all, sports got.
- 46:28Speaker 5: Commitments we got a second player on. Basketball this is
- 46:34Speaker 5: a it's a huge it's turned this has turned into
- 46:36Speaker 5: be a huge weekends. Athletics good for.
- 46:39Speaker 6: Us we, also you didn't mention the same time As Chad,
- 46:43Speaker 6: Jones Benny benny many remember he randomly came in that one.
- 46:48Speaker 4: Day it was just like.
- 46:50Speaker 7: See, track you see it a lot LIKE i feel
- 46:52Speaker 7: like that's probably the one. Crossover but to your, Point,
- 46:54Speaker 7: matt like football, basketball that's a challenging.
- 46:57Speaker 2: One we'll see how that plays. Out i'm a.
- 46:59Speaker 4: Little they kind of overlap a little to see what
- 47:02Speaker 4: kind of.
- 47:03Speaker 2: Recruiting it doesn't. Happen, yeah, yeah you can.
- 47:05Speaker 5: Play, yeah, yeah, sure all, right there was another commitment
- 47:10Speaker 5: and we'll get to.
- 47:11Speaker 2: That we'll come back from break right. Here off the,
