- 0:00Speaker 1: Come on, uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody
- 0:06Speaker 1: you are listening to the voice, Come on, dig me now,
- 0:09Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show, man
- 0:13Speaker 1: or man?
- 0:14Speaker 2: Almost forgot I had one this morning. But I'm okay.
- 0:18Speaker 2: I'll tell you who I am in a little bit.
- 0:20Speaker 2: You know, I get around. Man, it's so much. But man,
- 0:23Speaker 2: good morning everybody. You know today. I was having a
- 0:28Speaker 2: conversation with my wife last night and we were talking
- 0:32Speaker 2: about our plans. You know, we often sit down, you know,
- 0:36Speaker 2: just like a married couple. I mean, you know, you
- 0:38Speaker 2: know we're married. You know, we have children, we have aspirations,
- 0:42Speaker 2: we have hopes, well, I mean know, we have things
- 0:44Speaker 2: we want. You know, when you're married, you know, I mean,
- 0:48Speaker 2: it's important to sit with your partner. I'm not telling
- 0:50Speaker 2: you anything, you don't know. It's common sense. Really, It's
- 0:53Speaker 2: important to sit down with the person that you've chosen
- 0:56Speaker 2: and decided to share your life with it and have
- 0:59Speaker 2: multiple conversations on a lot of things. And we try
- 1:02Speaker 2: to make sure that all of our conversations aren't always
- 1:07Speaker 2: just business related and always kid related, you know, because
- 1:11Speaker 2: that that that becomes it's a part of it. But
- 1:15Speaker 2: it weighs so much on the marriage that because that's
- 1:20Speaker 2: the grunt work of being married. You know, your children,
- 1:23Speaker 2: your family, your bills, your your mortgage, your your car notes,
- 1:28Speaker 2: you know the what's due, what's coming up, and if
- 1:33Speaker 2: you're not careful, you'll you'll start that becomes the focal
- 1:37Speaker 2: point of you all's conversation. And this woman or man
- 1:42Speaker 2: or person that you've decided to have this life with,
- 1:44Speaker 2: all of a sudden, they're an extension of your business,
- 1:49Speaker 2: and you guys become business partners or whatever and and
- 1:54Speaker 2: just get so anyway, I'm just saying that that is
- 1:56Speaker 2: important to sit down and have these conversations, but it's
- 2:00Speaker 2: even more important to have the other conversation. You know,
- 2:04Speaker 2: it's important with the person that you're planning on making
- 2:07Speaker 2: the run with to sit down and talk about other things,
- 2:10Speaker 2: you know, on a more upbeat note. You know, we
- 2:14Speaker 2: were having a conversation and she was reminding me of
- 2:18Speaker 2: what she loved about me, and then I, in turn
- 2:22Speaker 2: was turning around telling her the things that I admired
- 2:25Speaker 2: about her and loved about her. And we kind of
- 2:28Speaker 2: have these all the time, you know, when we sit
- 2:30Speaker 2: down and we talk about the things that we still
- 2:35Speaker 2: enjoy about one another, or we may talk about some
- 2:37Speaker 2: of the things that we miss in one another. But
- 2:40Speaker 2: we constantly have these conversations about appreciation. You know, it's
- 2:45Speaker 2: so important, man, that the other person feels appreciated. So
- 2:50Speaker 2: these things important. But we got into the conversation deeper
- 2:53Speaker 2: last night, and I was telling her about this idea
- 2:56Speaker 2: that I had and that I wanted her to help
- 3:00Speaker 2: me with it and make a phone call for me
- 3:02Speaker 2: because she knows these people. And I was going to
- 3:05Speaker 2: be doing this, and then my wife reminded me of something,
- 3:09Speaker 2: not once again, you know, as always, you know, when
- 3:12Speaker 2: I'm talking to you, I just keep it as real
- 3:14Speaker 2: as I can. I don't know the Bible inside out.
- 3:17Speaker 2: I can't quote to you scriptures and tell you exactly
- 3:20Speaker 2: where it is. I just you know, I heard her
- 3:23Speaker 2: say it, but it kind of blew by me. I was.
- 3:27Speaker 2: I was telling her about something I wanted to make happen,
- 3:29Speaker 2: and she reminded me that there's a scripture somewhere, and
- 3:33Speaker 2: somebody emailed it to me today. I'm sure. Well, the
- 3:36Speaker 2: Bible reminds us not to be anxious for anything. Don't
- 3:40Speaker 2: be anxious for something, and you know, it really mattered
- 3:45Speaker 2: to me at that point yesterday that she bought this
- 3:47Speaker 2: to my attention, because how many times I've been guilty
- 3:51Speaker 2: of that in my past and I've learned better now,
- 3:54Speaker 2: but every now and then I need to be reminded,
- 3:57Speaker 2: you know, And I think what that what she was
- 4:00Speaker 2: saying to me was, you know, I've gotten to a
- 4:03Speaker 2: point in my life and when we all should get
- 4:06Speaker 2: to a point where you know, you've heard old people
- 4:09Speaker 2: say this, If you're gonna pray about something, then don't
- 4:12Speaker 2: worry about it, And if you're gonna worry about it,
- 4:14Speaker 2: don't pray about it. Back to this, be anxious for nothing,
- 4:20Speaker 2: don't If you're going to trust in God, didn't do that,
- 4:25Speaker 2: And trusting in him means sometimes you got to be patient.
- 4:31Speaker 2: God has never been too late. You don't know the
- 4:35Speaker 2: plan he has, You don't know. You don't really always
- 4:38Speaker 2: know his will. You definitely don't know his route, his
- 4:41Speaker 2: way of doing anything. So he's always on time. He's
- 4:45Speaker 2: always been there on time for me, He's always been
- 4:49Speaker 2: there on time for you. How many times have you
- 4:52Speaker 2: thought it was over only to find out it's really
- 4:56Speaker 2: just begun. How many times have people wrote you all,
- 5:01Speaker 2: there are those of you who have lost jobs, but
- 5:05Speaker 2: you are still maintaining. But man, God has already began
- 5:10Speaker 2: to turn around process for many of us. Some of
- 5:14Speaker 2: us lost jobs and now have better jobs. Some of
- 5:18Speaker 2: us lost jobs and now has forced us to rekindle
- 5:23Speaker 2: that dream and that vision for business we had. Sometimes
- 5:27Speaker 2: the mishap is the thing you need to make something
- 5:31Speaker 2: good happen. See a lot of times we get so
- 5:34Speaker 2: comfortable in our life where we just we get complacent,
- 5:39Speaker 2: We just settled in and when this is it and
- 5:42Speaker 2: this is what I'm doing. But in actuality, God has
- 5:46Speaker 2: a tremendous amount of abundance for you. He has an
- 5:49Speaker 2: amazing amount of things. He has all these boxes packaged
- 5:53Speaker 2: up with your name on him that he's willing to
- 5:56Speaker 2: ship if you would just align yourself with some of
- 6:00Speaker 2: his wills so you could get some of these things.
- 6:02Speaker 2: How many times have you thought it was over and
- 6:05Speaker 2: it didn't really go over? How many times have you
- 6:08Speaker 2: thought have well, this is it and it wasn't it
- 6:12Speaker 2: at all? Well, how many times do you thought, well,
- 6:14Speaker 2: it don't look like this gonna work out, and it
- 6:16Speaker 2: didn't work out, but then something better came along? How
- 6:20Speaker 2: many times has that happened. You've got to realize this. Man.
- 6:24Speaker 2: I was talking to a family who had got displaced
- 6:27Speaker 2: from the Katrina thing that happened down there in New Orleans.
- 6:31Speaker 2: And man, when they said, yeah, we got a displaced
- 6:34Speaker 2: from Katrina, and I braced myself because, oh woe is me?
- 6:37Speaker 2: Here comes this story. I gotta hear this, and I
- 6:40Speaker 2: gotta be encouraged and think of something. It was totally different.
- 6:43Speaker 2: They totally totally blew me away. Man. The brother said, Man,
- 6:48Speaker 2: is actually the best thing that ever happened to my family.
- 6:52Speaker 2: And I went whoa And he said, yeah, man, he said,
- 6:55Speaker 2: because what happened was he said, I got settled in.
- 6:59Speaker 2: He said. Plus, I was doing some things outside of
- 7:03Speaker 2: my marriage down there, He said, I was doing some
- 7:05Speaker 2: stuff in the streets I ain't need to be doing.
- 7:07Speaker 2: He said, Man, it all got washed away. We thought
- 7:10Speaker 2: our life would never be the same. But he said, man,
- 7:12Speaker 2: my life ain't need to be the same. He said, Man.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Now we live up here in Texas. We got a house.
- 7:19Speaker 2: Don't know nobody, he said, I ain't got nobody I
- 7:22Speaker 2: know to get into trouble with. He said, Man, I
- 7:24Speaker 2: done rediscovered my wife how beautiful she really is, how
- 7:27Speaker 2: much my family really was counting on me, And he said, man,
- 7:30Speaker 2: it straightened me up. Man, he said, so, I gotta
- 7:33Speaker 2: tell you, Steve, it was the best thing that ever
- 7:35Speaker 2: happened to me. Now that's not always the case, but
- 7:38Speaker 2: it's how you look at a situation. But just don't
- 7:41Speaker 2: be anxious for anything, because God got a fix for
- 7:45Speaker 2: you if you just let him work. So just stay
- 7:48Speaker 2: on course, stay focused, don't lose faith, don't be anxious. Man,
- 7:53Speaker 2: just stay in the wheel. Let God work with you.
- 7:57Speaker 2: He got some great stuff in the store for you.
- 8:00Speaker 2: It's Steve Harvey Morning Show.
