- Lucas: Welcome back to Learn Danish with Fexingo. I’m Lucas. Luna: And I’m Luna. Today we are heading to the playground! Lucas: Oh, nice. Are you taking your little cousin again? Luna: Yeah, she loves the playground and I want to speak Danish with her there. Lucas: Perfect. Let’s learn some Danish playground phrases. First up: 'Jeg vil gynge.' That means 'I want to swing.' Lucas: Listen: Jeg vil gynge. Jeg vil gynge. Luna: Jeg vil gynge. Lucas: Exactly. Now, if you want to say 'I want to slide,' it's 'Jeg vil glide.' Lucas: Jeg vil glide. Jeg vil glide. Luna: Jeg vil glide. Lucas: Great. So you can say what you want to do at the playground. Luna: But what if it's my turn? How do I say that? Lucas: Hold that thought. Before we go further, a quick note. If Fexingo has been helping you make progress with Danish, we want you to know we keep the show ad-free because of listener support. Say it with me: Det er min tur. Luna: Det er min tur. Lucas: Perfect. And one more important phrase: 'Vær forsigtig' — 'Be careful.' Lucas: Vær forsigtig. Vær forsigtig. Luna: Vær forsigtig. That's good to know. Lucas: Let's put them together. Imagine your cousin wants to swing. You say 'Jeg vil gynge.' Then you go to the slide: 'Jeg vil glide.' And if someone else is on it, you say 'Det er min tur.' And always 'Vær forsigtig.' Luna: Jeg vil gynge. Jeg vil glide. Jeg vil klatre. Wait, what about climb? Lucas: Ah, right. 'Jeg vil klatre' — I want to climb. Let's add that. Jeg vil klatre. Luna: Jeg vil klatre. So now I have four: gynge, glide, klatre, and det er min tur. Lucas: And vær forsigtig. That's five phrases. Let's review: Jeg vil gynge, Jeg vil glide, Jeg vil klatre, Det er min tur, Vær forsigtig. Luna: Jeg vil gynge, Jeg vil glide, Jeg vil klatre, Det er min tur, Vær forsigtig. Lucas: Excellent. Now imagine a little scene. Your cousin says 'Jeg vil gynge.' You say 'Vær forsigtig.' Then she says 'Det er min tur.' Perfect. Luna: That sounds like real Danish. I feel ready for the playground. Lucas: Good. Practice these phrases, and next time you're at a playground in Denmark, you'll fit right in. Luna: Tak, Lucas! See you next time. Lucas: Tak, Luna. And tak to you for listening. Keep practicing with Fexingo.
