- 0:01Speaker 1: NOWR presents no Mark some own show.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Hey, I got a lot to get to today. We'll
- 0:10Speaker 2: get to President Trump, Iran, We'll get to Jerome Powell.
- 0:14Speaker 2: We'll get to Minnesota. We'll get to uh, we'll get
- 0:16Speaker 2: to Bruce Blakeman big inauguration yesterday for his second term.
- 0:20Speaker 2: We'll get to a mom Donnie Hokeel and a whole
- 0:23Speaker 2: lot more coming up. So, Hey, I just to clear
- 0:27Speaker 2: this Jerome Powell thing. Powell, he's the one that announced it.
- 0:32Speaker 2: He's the one that held a press conference that the
- 0:34Speaker 2: Trump administration is trying to indict him, and it's clearly
- 0:39Speaker 2: law fair and that sort of stuff. Well, uh, Trump
- 0:43Speaker 2: administrass not making clear nobody was indicting him. The Justice
- 0:47Speaker 2: Department had been asking him for information about what could
- 0:52Speaker 2: possibly be a crime or just gross negligence. You know,
- 0:56Speaker 2: they were rebuilding the FED building should cost about maybe
- 1:00Speaker 2: eight hundred thousand. Instead they spent like three billion where
- 1:03Speaker 2: they held did all that money go Justice Department? And
- 1:06Speaker 2: he testified it in front of Congress about it, But
- 1:08Speaker 2: there were questions brought up by his testimony. So the
- 1:12Speaker 2: Justice Department sending him letters asking him for clarification, asking
- 1:16Speaker 2: him for information, and he refused to respond. He never
- 1:20Speaker 2: responded to anything. So finally they sent something that said,
- 1:24Speaker 2: you know, you have to respond to us. You can't
- 1:26Speaker 2: just not answer, Otherwise we'd have to seek some legal remedy.
- 1:29Speaker 2: That's all they said. And then I guess he decided
- 1:33Speaker 2: to get ahead of it. And he's the one that
- 1:35Speaker 2: held a big press conference over the weekend announcing the
- 1:38Speaker 2: Justice Department is trying to indict him, and it's law fare,
- 1:41Speaker 2: and it's unusual for Powell to hold any kind of
- 1:44Speaker 2: press conference like that, But he got all dressed up
- 1:46Speaker 2: and put on his best classes and held this press conference.
- 1:49Speaker 2: He was trying to get ahead of the whole thing.
- 1:51Speaker 2: If you're trying to get ahead of it, that implies
- 1:54Speaker 2: you think it could be a problem. But apparently the
- 1:57Speaker 2: Justice Department making clear nobody was in nobody was doing it.
- 2:01Speaker 2: They were simply trying to get him to answer the
- 2:03Speaker 2: questions they had about the over spending on the building.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Here's Powell, the threat of criminal charges is a consequence
- 2:11Speaker 1: of the Federal Reserve setting interest rates based on our
- 2:14Speaker 1: best assessment of what will serve the public, rather than
- 2:17Speaker 1: following the preferences of the President.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Yeah, now there's no truth to that. He's just lying,
- 2:22Speaker 2: but he's he knows the politics right now. Fake news
- 2:27Speaker 2: will go after Trump. So if you allege something against Trump,
- 2:31Speaker 2: fake news will back you up. We'll play it up.
- 2:34Speaker 2: But the fact is nobody was threatening to indict him.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Nothing like that was happening. They just simply kept asking
- 2:40Speaker 2: him for information over and over again, and he refused
- 2:43Speaker 2: to respond to the Justice Department, and finally in one
- 2:45Speaker 2: of those letters saying if you just keep refusing, we'll
- 2:47Speaker 2: have to take some sort of legal remedy. Nobody said
- 2:50Speaker 2: indictment or anything like that. He is The top economists
- 2:55Speaker 2: in the world agree, he's the worst FED chairman in decades,
- 2:59Speaker 2: the worst FED chairman, just horrible.
- 3:02Speaker 3: His Caroline Lovitt, the President has every right to criticize
- 3:05Speaker 3: the FED chair He is a First Amendment right, just
- 3:08Speaker 3: like all of you do. And one thing for sure,
- 3:10Speaker 3: the President's made it quite clear is Jerome Powell is
- 3:13Speaker 3: that at his job. As for whether or not Jerome
- 3:15Speaker 3: Powell is a criminal, that's an answer the Department of
- 3:18Speaker 3: Justice is going to have to find out.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Yeah, Now it could be not a criminal, it could
- 3:21Speaker 2: be the ridiculous overspending doesn't mean he stole the money.
- 3:26Speaker 2: It could just mean he's the most incredibly incompetent, bumbling
- 3:30Speaker 2: idiot in the world and that's how he let the
- 3:33Speaker 2: cost get way out of control on that FED building.
- 3:37Speaker 2: But just the worst, absolute worst FED chairman. Now a
- 3:41Speaker 2: lot of people think, well, why even bother with him?
- 3:44Speaker 2: He's gone in two three months. Anyway, he has to
- 3:46Speaker 2: step down now. Part of the problem is when he
- 3:48Speaker 2: steps down his FED chairman, he can remain on the
- 3:51Speaker 2: FED board, have a vote, have a lot of influence.
- 3:53Speaker 2: That's unusual. Usually when a FED chairman leaves, he leaves
- 3:57Speaker 2: the board as well. They don't know what Powell will do,
- 4:00Speaker 2: he said, ordinary sort of a guy. But I think
- 4:03Speaker 2: they're trying to pressure him to make sure that he
- 4:05Speaker 2: not only steps down as FED chairman, but leaves the
- 4:08Speaker 2: board as well. So now, by the way, Elizabeth Warren
- 4:14Speaker 2: made a speech yesterday about the economy, a big economic speech.
- 4:19Speaker 2: I don't know who looks to Elizabeth Warren for economic speeches,
- 4:23Speaker 2: but she did it and was not bad. Wasn't bad.
- 4:28Speaker 2: In fact, after the speech, President Trump called her to
- 4:32Speaker 2: tell her that he really liked her speech. He was
- 4:36Speaker 2: very impressed with it. They had a nice conversation. Now
- 4:40Speaker 2: you know they're not going to suddenly become great friends.
- 4:42Speaker 2: And who knows why he did it. Maybe you know
- 4:44Speaker 2: he likes to call his worst enemy, or maybe he
- 4:48Speaker 2: thinks by having a nice phone conversation, whether it screws
- 4:51Speaker 2: her up even more with the Democrats. That could be
- 4:53Speaker 2: the reason too. But she got a lot. She was
- 4:58Speaker 2: supposed to get a lot of attention from this speech.
- 5:00Speaker 2: She's supposed to be on Rachel Maddow and Jen Psaki.
- 5:03Speaker 2: But she's not that important anymore in democratic world. They've
- 5:06Speaker 2: kind of lost interest in her. They think of her
- 5:09Speaker 2: as the past, not the future. So after this big speech,
- 5:13Speaker 2: in this big move yesterday, what did she get on?
- 5:17Speaker 2: Like the worst thing you can get on at MSNBC,
- 5:19Speaker 2: like Lawrence O'Donnell at ten o'clock. But here's Warren yesterday.
- 5:23Speaker 4: We are not short on good ideas and to win,
- 5:28Speaker 4: every Democrat should be proposing concrete plans for lowering costs.
- 5:35Speaker 4: Sorah mom Donnie came from nowhere and took down a
- 5:39Speaker 4: political dynasty. How he ran a campaign tightly focused on
- 5:45Speaker 4: the cost of living, with easy to understand platform, free buses,
- 5:50Speaker 4: freeze the rent, and deliver no cost childcare.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Very easy to understand. Doesn't make any sense, but it's
- 5:57Speaker 2: also impossible, but very easy to understand. What political dynasty
- 6:01Speaker 2: did he take down? Eric Adams? That was a dynasty.
- 6:05Speaker 2: The guy couldn't even run for re election. He had
- 6:08Speaker 2: to drop out. And again, had Cuomo Andrew Cuomo not
- 6:12Speaker 2: shown up, the whole thing would have been different. Remember
- 6:14Speaker 2: when Cuomo first showed up, it was to scare Eric
- 6:18Speaker 2: Adams out of the Democratic primary, and it worked. He
- 6:22Speaker 2: scared him out of the Democratic primary, convinced him that
- 6:24Speaker 2: he had so much money and so much backing Adams,
- 6:27Speaker 2: and had Adam stayed in, Clomo's the world's worst debater.
- 6:32Speaker 2: He got slaughtered in both debates by Mom Donnie. Had
- 6:35Speaker 2: Adam stayed in. He's not the most articulate kind of
- 6:38Speaker 2: the world, but he's colorful, he's charming. He probably would
- 6:41Speaker 2: have done better against Mom Donnie and probably would have
- 6:43Speaker 2: had the Democratic nomination. But Cuomo loses the Democratic nomination,
- 6:49Speaker 2: He loses, Democrats reject him. He then stays in the
- 6:53Speaker 2: race as a third party candidate, and it was the
- 6:57Speaker 2: weirdest situation I've ever seen. Kurt is a major party candidate.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Curtis is the Republican candidate, and people are telling them,
- 7:04Speaker 2: you have to drop out, you have to drop Why
- 7:06Speaker 2: would the major party candidate have to drop out for
- 7:09Speaker 2: a guy in some third party? Nobody knows. It didn't
- 7:12Speaker 2: make any sense. Hey, Minnesota is going to sue I
- 7:16Speaker 2: guess the Trump administration for what. I don't know. Let's see,
- 7:22Speaker 2: this is crazy Mayor Fry. He's their mom, Donnie. Here
- 7:27Speaker 2: is Donald Trump should know.
- 7:29Speaker 5: As long as federal agents are in our city acting
- 7:32Speaker 5: unconstitutionally against our neighbors, we will continue to push back
- 7:37Speaker 5: with everything we've got.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Now, is what is he talking about? What's unconstitutional? Law enforcement?
- 7:43Speaker 2: Enforcing actual laws that are on the books. I don't
- 7:46Speaker 2: think that's unconstitutional. You're allowed to actually enforce the law.
- 7:49Speaker 4: Hey.
- 7:50Speaker 2: By the way, federal law supersedes local law. You can
- 7:53Speaker 2: make all your sanctuary city crazy laws, but federal law
- 7:56Speaker 2: Trump's local law. And every legal scholar, the Alan Derschwitz's
- 8:03Speaker 2: our best legal scholars say this lawsuit has absolutely no
- 8:07Speaker 2: chance of going anywhere. Here's that crazy Attorney General Keith Ellison,
- 8:13Speaker 2: who should resign immediately. Eighteen billion was stolen in the
- 8:17Speaker 2: Somali fraud scheme eighteen billion. You know how much that
- 8:21Speaker 2: is for one state? Eighteen billion goes missing, and this
- 8:24Speaker 2: guy didn't even notice. Didn't even notice. I mean, you
- 8:27Speaker 2: should be embarrassed, as in an Attorney general step down.
- 8:29Speaker 5: The deployment of thousands of armed mass DHS agents to
- 8:33Speaker 5: Minnesota has done our state serious harm. This is, in essence,
- 8:39Speaker 5: a federal invasion of the Twin Cities and Minnesota, and
- 8:42Speaker 5: it must stop.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Okay, well, that's what democrats, that's what they do. Hysteria,
- 8:48Speaker 2: hyperbolic nonsense.
- 8:49Speaker 5: We allege that the obvious targeting of Minnesota, for our diversity,
- 8:54Speaker 5: for our democracy, and our differences of opinion with the
- 8:59Speaker 5: federal government is a violation of the Constitution and of
- 9:03Speaker 5: federal law.
- 9:04Speaker 2: It sounds great, you just yell all these things, but
- 9:07Speaker 2: I mean, it doesn't make any sense. It has no
- 9:09Speaker 2: chance in a courtroom. Federal law says you arrest the
- 9:12Speaker 2: illegals and you pick them up, and you take them
- 9:14Speaker 2: out and get rid of them and take them out
- 9:15Speaker 2: of the country. So it's this is ellison. I guess
- 9:19Speaker 2: it's the guy behind the lawsuit. And again it has
- 9:22Speaker 2: absolutely no chance of doing anything in a courtroom. But
- 9:27Speaker 2: These lunatics think it's good for them politically, so they'll
- 9:29Speaker 2: they'll keep pursuing it. This the woman Renee Good who
- 9:36Speaker 2: was shot. Renee Good. Apparently at the Golden Globe Awards,
- 9:41Speaker 2: all the celebrities were wearing Renee Good pins on their lapel.
- 9:46Speaker 2: You know, it's a big thing with these celebrities. At
- 9:48Speaker 2: an award show, you always have to have a pin.
- 9:50Speaker 2: You remember, it was the AIDS pin, it was the
- 9:51Speaker 2: breast cancer pin, it was this pin, which is fine,
- 9:54Speaker 2: but the Renee Good pin. I mean, basically a crazy lunatic.
- 10:01Speaker 2: And again, who do you know that would I mean,
- 10:05Speaker 2: if a cop pulled you over, wouldn't you just be nice, polite, cooperate.
- 10:10Speaker 2: I mean, maybe I might know somebody who'd give the
- 10:12Speaker 2: cop a hard time, who'd argue with the cop or
- 10:15Speaker 2: yell at it. I might know somebody will do that.
- 10:17Speaker 2: But who do you know, like Renee Good? Who do
- 10:19Speaker 2: you know that if there was a caravan of law
- 10:22Speaker 2: enforcement moving up the street, would drive in front of them,
- 10:25Speaker 2: turn a car sideways, box them in, block them in.
- 10:30Speaker 2: I mean, when cops see that happen, the car pulls
- 10:32Speaker 2: up in front, turned sideways, boxes them in. That's usually
- 10:36Speaker 2: a sign of an ambush coming. That's like drug cartells
- 10:39Speaker 2: do that to wipe out a witness being transported. But
- 10:43Speaker 2: who do you know that would have the nerve to
- 10:45Speaker 2: do that. You got to be absolutely nuts to do
- 10:48Speaker 2: something like that. Though, Hey, yesterday was the second inauguration
- 10:53Speaker 2: of Bruce Blakeman. He's the Nassau County executive. Nassau County
- 10:57Speaker 2: for the last four years under Bruce Blakeman came the
- 11:01Speaker 2: safest crime statistic wise, safest county in America, most successful economically,
- 11:07Speaker 2: every other measure county in America. He's going to run
- 11:10Speaker 2: for governor later this year, has got a good chance,
- 11:12Speaker 2: I think. I mean I would vote from brit for governor.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Being a county executive basically that's being a governor. You're
- 11:19Speaker 2: the governor of Nassau County. And it's not a little county.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Nasau County is a major county, three million people there.
- 11:27Speaker 2: It's bigger than some states, one of the biggest, biggest
- 11:29Speaker 2: counties in New York and the makeup of it demographically
- 11:33Speaker 2: and all of that down party lines resembles New York States.
- 11:37Speaker 2: So the fact that he won big there twice means
- 11:40Speaker 2: he's got a real good shot in New York. The
- 11:43Speaker 2: inauguration yesterday phenomenal. He got I would say ten standing ovations.
- 11:49Speaker 2: He brought in Donald Trump's favorite singers, two great, great singers,
- 11:54Speaker 2: Mary Milburn and Christopher Macio. Those are the two you
- 11:58Speaker 2: always sing, the very beautiful baradic voices. Singing at mar
- 12:02Speaker 2: A Lago, A big, big ceremony yesterday, a dinner afterwards,
- 12:05Speaker 2: Mia Posto, great restaurant, owned by some nice people. A
- 12:10Speaker 2: lot of famous faces there, major political figures, people from
- 12:15Speaker 2: the business community. Our friend Sid Rosenberg was there. I
- 12:19Speaker 2: was there. I came in four years ago. Actually I
- 12:23Speaker 2: was the MC of the thing, but this year they
- 12:25Speaker 2: didn't have an MC like that, so I came in.
- 12:27Speaker 2: I didn't know where to sit, so I said to
- 12:28Speaker 2: the woman, is there in an assigned seat? She goes,
- 12:30Speaker 2: let me look at the list. Oh, you're on the dais. Wow.
- 12:35Speaker 2: I felt really honored. I mean on the dais next
- 12:37Speaker 2: to Bruce Blakeman. But then I thought, uh, oh, I
- 12:41Speaker 2: mean it's an honor, but the whole audience is looking
- 12:43Speaker 2: at you. You can't look at your phone. You got to
- 12:44Speaker 2: pay attention to all the speeches. You can't do anything
- 12:48Speaker 2: you have to, but it would turn out to be
- 12:50Speaker 2: a great, great ceremony. And people love Bruce Blakeman definitely. Actually,
- 12:55Speaker 2: if you want to help him, go to Bruce Blakeman
- 12:57Speaker 2: for New York dot Com. You want to volunteer, donate
- 13:00Speaker 2: Bruce Blakeman from New York dot Com. He's gonna run
- 13:03Speaker 2: against Kathy Hokel and he's much more qualified than Kathy Hokele. Now,
- 13:08Speaker 2: Kathy Hokel is about to make her State of the
- 13:12Speaker 2: State speech, and it's interesting. Blakeman is a like kind
- 13:17Speaker 2: of a middle of the road common sense I mean,
- 13:19Speaker 2: he's a Republican, but a real common sense Republican, approaches
- 13:24Speaker 2: everything like a businessman. Hokeel tends to. She's like Cuomo.
- 13:29Speaker 2: She'll go to the left, and if she needs to,
- 13:32Speaker 2: she'll go to the very far left. Remember people thought
- 13:36Speaker 2: Cuomo was some sort of moderate. He went so far
- 13:38Speaker 2: in the left with his no bail, no jail, closed
- 13:41Speaker 2: the prisons, let everybody out, all his craziness. Don't be
- 13:44Speaker 2: surprised if she does the same thing she thinks right now.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Her thinking is she's gonna have to have Mom Donnie support,
- 13:50Speaker 2: and all the Mom Donnie people behind her. Half the
- 13:54Speaker 2: votes from New York State are in the City of
- 13:56Speaker 2: New York, so she's gonna need mom Donnie. So a
- 13:58Speaker 2: lot of people think she'll go no in the State
- 14:01Speaker 2: of the State speech way far to the left, and
- 14:04Speaker 2: that she's probably going to announce all sorts of anti
- 14:06Speaker 2: ice sort of stuff and just sound like a left
- 14:10Speaker 2: wing kook. So expect that. Hey, speaking of which Democrats
- 14:14Speaker 2: are going to start, you'll see this developed. They're going
- 14:17Speaker 2: to start their defund ice movement in Congress, trying to
- 14:21Speaker 2: officially defund ice. It's not what American citizens want. They
- 14:27Speaker 2: like ice, they like law enforcement, they don't want to
- 14:30Speaker 2: defund it. But you know, Democrats, it started years ago
- 14:34Speaker 2: with defund the police. It's evolved into in recent times,
- 14:38Speaker 2: run them over with your car. If they go back
- 14:40Speaker 2: to just defund all right, that's not so bad. Now.
- 14:46Speaker 2: The President in Detroit, Michigan today, he's going to make
- 14:49Speaker 2: a big economic speech. There's a big Economic Club of
- 14:53Speaker 2: New York. That speech is a very important one. Every year,
- 14:56Speaker 2: believe it or not, there's an Economic Club of Detroit
- 14:59Speaker 2: and Represident goes there to speak. It's considered a very
- 15:02Speaker 2: very important event. And President heading there as we speak,
- 15:07Speaker 2: he'll make a big speech there. He'll tour the Ford Plant.
- 15:11Speaker 2: So we'll see, we'll talk about we'll get to Iran
- 15:14Speaker 2: coming up, we'll get to Oh. One more thing. If
- 15:19Speaker 2: you have a Metro card, you know, they don't use
- 15:21Speaker 2: him anymore. Metro card. You know it used to be tokens,
- 15:25Speaker 2: then switched to the Metro card. Now you can just
- 15:27Speaker 2: use your phone. Just hold your phone up to the
- 15:30Speaker 2: turnstile and you're in. If you have a Metro card,
- 15:36Speaker 2: do not throw it away. I don't know why, but
- 15:39Speaker 2: Metro cards are becoming very valuable as collector's items on
- 15:43Speaker 2: the reseller market. Some are going for up to thirty
- 15:46Speaker 2: five hundred dollars. I guess it's just a piece of history.
- 15:51Speaker 2: But there's a whole bunch of them on I guess
- 15:54Speaker 2: eBay and all sorts of places. A twenty twenty five
- 15:59Speaker 2: card going for thirty five hundred. Even just the worst
- 16:03Speaker 2: listings they're going for one hundred dollars. Do not throw
- 16:06Speaker 2: away your Metro card. Keep it. Go online and see
- 16:09Speaker 2: what you can sell it for. Hey, if you have
- 16:12Speaker 2: an original iPod or the first iPhone from the first year,
- 16:17Speaker 2: I think I still have one somewhere. I've looked online
- 16:20Speaker 2: on the ebaying place, so some of those original iPhones
- 16:23Speaker 2: are selling for like twenty thousand, eighty thousand. The original
- 16:27Speaker 2: iPod I think is going for like a million dollars. Anyway,
- 16:30Speaker 2: we'll take some calls next. Eight hundred three two one
- 16:33Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three two
- 16:37Speaker 2: one zero seven ten
