- 0:15SPEAKER_01: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to another episode of Fantasy Football Sports Minds.
- 0:21SPEAKER_01: It's your boy MJG Manny here, and I'm live with Joe the Birdman.
- 0:25SPEAKER_01: Joe, how are you doing today, my friend?
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: I'm doing very well, Manny.
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: I had another great week for fantasy, and I'm pumped up going into this next week.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: I've got uh I've got some stacked lineups this weekend, and I'm just really looking forward to Sunday.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: I'm looking forward to tomorrow night.
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: I guess by the time we post that, it'll be tonight, Thursday.
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: I'm just man, we got a we got a great week of football lined up.
- 0:53SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 0:53SPEAKER_01: A lot of really great lineups.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: Um or a lot of great matchups.
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: I'm pretty excited for it.
- 0:58SPEAKER_01: I know um I definitely have some great weeks as well.
- 1:01SPEAKER_01: I had an off week.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: Of course, I took L's across the board in all three of my leagues.
- 1:05SPEAKER_01: Uh, but that happens, right?
- 1:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah, when you get all your wins early.
- 1:08SPEAKER_01: I was on on like seven, eight game win streak and and two of those.
- 1:12SPEAKER_01: So, you know, it was about time that you know Goliath was toppled over by my I think the guy that had one win in the league beat me in one of the leagues.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: That's how it happens sometimes.
- 1:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah, even a blind squirrel gets a nut every once in a while, you know.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: So I think I'm I think I'm officially out in one of your leagues.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: If not this week, uh for one more loss, I'm officially out.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: But I think it's I think I'm already there.
- 1:37SPEAKER_01: It's like, you know, the playoff percentage might say like one percent, but you know, yeah, realistically it's it's slim, but don't worry, I'm I'm right there on I'm on the verge too.
- 1:46SPEAKER_01: I'm four and six.
- 1:47SPEAKER_01: I'm I'm knocking on the back door.
- 1:49SPEAKER_01: I gotta I gotta go on a run, you know.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: I'm knocking on heaven's door.
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: Uh four and six.
- 1:56SPEAKER_01: There's four games left before the playoffs.
- 1:59SPEAKER_01: I gotta go win three out of four to get in there because I think uh third through seventh place, everybody is six and four.
- 2:06SPEAKER_01: So I mean that's so cool when that happens to get in there.
- 2:10SPEAKER_01: There's two spots up for grabs, two spots up for grads at least for the for fantasy football playoffs.
- 2:15SPEAKER_01: So uh that's gonna be great.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, man.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: I love that when uh when the competition is real tight like that.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: Like I got one league where no one's out yet, and that's just fun, yeah, you know, and everyone's still making moves, making trades, looking at the deadline.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: It's awesome.
- 2:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I just made a trade today.
- 2:35SPEAKER_01: I was like, man, Trevor Lawrence has really been shitting the bed for me, man.
- 2:39SPEAKER_01: I I was like, I can't really trust this guy.
- 2:41SPEAKER_01: I was like, I had to bench him last week, and sure enough, he was negative.
- 2:44SPEAKER_01: And the guy I picked up Will Levis did nothing either.
- 2:47SPEAKER_01: So I'm like, man, it's there's nothing on the waiver wire.
- 2:49SPEAKER_01: I was looking at people's bench.
- 2:51SPEAKER_01: Um I was able to trade uh George Pickens for him for Josh Dobbs.
- 2:56SPEAKER_01: I was like, I'll take a straight trade.
- 2:58SPEAKER_01: I was like, Josh Dobbs is a better streamer right now there in than Trevor Lawrence at the moment.
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: Trevor Lawrence has a really rough schedule coming up the next few games.
- 3:06SPEAKER_01: So I might have some soft matchups afterwards, but I was like, you know, Tennessee is a divisional game, you know, low mat, low uh I was I could see a heavy dose of Travis Etienne, very low Trevor Lawrence love.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: So I don't see it as a very good fancy season for him, so I might as well ride the hot hand.
- 3:23SPEAKER_01: So it was a low risk, high, high reward move for me in doing that.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he hasn't been the same this year, and um pickings fell off the last few weeks, so it's better to trade him now.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: You know, he if he continues down that path again, and he's got a tough matchup this week.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: So if he continues down that path, um, then he you're not gonna be able to get Dobbs next week.
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: So, you know, if he has another boom week and another down week, you never know.
- 3:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah, the guy has Mahomes anyway, so he's like, I'm trying to get something, you know, while while I still, you know, all people are still in the playoffs.
- 3:57SPEAKER_01: But uh speaking of in and outs, right, we're talking about some injuries here.
- 4:01SPEAKER_01: Uh some good players being out.
- 4:04SPEAKER_01: Surprise here.
- 4:05SPEAKER_01: T.
- 4:06SPEAKER_01: Higgins is out.
- 4:07SPEAKER_01: You know, I'm sure most people aren't surprised.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: He's probably only played a handful of games this season, he's only produced a handful as well.
- 4:13SPEAKER_01: Um, Deshaun Watson, of course, hairline fracture in his shoulders or some other injury.
- 4:18SPEAKER_01: Correct me if I'm wrong.
- 4:20SPEAKER_01: Of course, he's out for the season.
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: He's on IR, so he's gonna be gone for a while.
- 4:23SPEAKER_01: Um, we have some notable uh players coming back.
- 4:26SPEAKER_01: Uh Khalil Herbert is coming back.
- 4:29SPEAKER_01: And those of you that are are asking for a controversy in Chicago, the controversy already happened, ladies and gentlemen.
- 4:35SPEAKER_01: That happened week one when they started Khalil Herbert and they helped he scratch Dante Foreman.
- 4:41SPEAKER_01: You know, and they had about four games after that where they didn't even play him.
- 4:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he was he didn't get a single touch.
- 4:47SPEAKER_01: And if you've seen him play the last few games, he looks exactly like he did last year in Carolina.
- 4:52SPEAKER_01: He can handle the workload, he could catch passes, he could block out of the backfield.
- 4:56SPEAKER_01: I mean, the guy's he's clearly better than Herbert.
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: And the thing is, I counted him out after the first week.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: I did a player profile on Roshan Johnson, and I said, hey, the carries are almost 50-50.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: It was like 60-40 with Khalil Herbert and Roshan.
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: It was really close, but Roshan Johnson scored a touchdown week one.
- 5:15SPEAKER_00: I thought it was going to be a committee, and and that they weren't even going to consider Don DeForeman.
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: And he didn't play the first five weeks, and then uh Herbert goes down, then Roshan goes down, and then he stepped up in a big way, and he has just been kicking ass.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: And if it bothers me when I see some ESPN projections that have Don Deforeman projected at five, and Khalil Herbert projected at 12.
- 5:41SPEAKER_00: Khalil Herbert's probably gonna take over as a starting role, but not this week, probably not even next week.
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: It's gonna take some time for him to ease back in.
- 5:49SPEAKER_00: And I got excited in one league.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: I dropped Donta Foreman um thinking Roshan was gonna be the guy until Khalil Herbert came back, and you uh were just talking about that.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: And you know, there was another league where I dropped him where I'm doing very well and I have plenty of running backs, but it still hurts when you see, man, Donta Foreman put up double digits, no problem again, and I dropped him.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: So don't drop him, keep him on your roster until you know what's going on over there.
- 6:17SPEAKER_01: Well, I I do want to uh shed some insight on that.
- 6:20SPEAKER_01: So uh Chicago actually ended up firing the running backs coach.
- 6:23SPEAKER_01: He had that controversy.
- 6:25SPEAKER_01: I think he was the one that um that resigned or he got fired or whatever a few weeks ago.
- 6:29SPEAKER_01: So I uh obviously they were saying he wasn't living up to the team you know expectation about whatever he was supposed to do.
- 6:36SPEAKER_01: It was all hush-hush.
- 6:38SPEAKER_01: So he was clearly doing something the team didn't agree with.
- 6:40SPEAKER_01: Um, but I also think it also had to do with performance, right?
- 6:43SPEAKER_01: Like, how do you bury this guy on a depth chart like Foreman?
- 6:46SPEAKER_01: They probably realized, hey, we got our ass handed to us all these games.
- 6:49SPEAKER_01: All we had to do is ride Foreman for these games, you know, because all they did was hype up Rashawn Johnson all offseason.
- 6:56SPEAKER_01: Yes, he has all the talent in the world, but clearly he wasn't ready.
- 6:59SPEAKER_01: He's the game's too fast for him.
- 7:01SPEAKER_01: It's kind of like when we saw Jameer Gibbs in the beginning, like uh, you know, he was trying to cut too early, he wasn't being patient, he wasn't hitting the holes, waiting for them to develop.
- 7:10SPEAKER_01: So, you know, unfortunately he wasn't able to get you know the yardage he needs.
- 7:15SPEAKER_01: And I think it's gonna be a year or two before he develops.
- 7:18SPEAKER_01: But if you look at Khalil Herbert's game, I mean he's been okay, but I mean when I watch his tape, nothing really stands out to me like he's really great at something, right?
- 7:28SPEAKER_01: Versus Dante Foreman, he passes the eye test.
- 7:30SPEAKER_01: The guy could get in between the tackles, he's a tough runner, he protects the ball, he doesn't fumble a lot, and he can actually catch the ball out of the backfield.
- 7:38SPEAKER_01: So to me, yeah, you know, if I'm a team, I'm looking at like how the hell did we have this guy buried on our death chart?
- 7:45SPEAKER_01: And and Herbert's on a contract year, so you clearly realize hey, Herbert's not the guy, he's never gonna be the guy.
- 7:51SPEAKER_01: He had a couple flashes and over the years, but he's not he's never gonna be that superstar.
- 7:56SPEAKER_01: You just draft the running back and move on.
- 7:58SPEAKER_01: As a matter of fact, you already drafted him in Roshan.
- 8:01SPEAKER_00: So yeah, I know, and yeah, that's why they drafted Roshan.
- 8:05SPEAKER_00: He's um he's a player that's more like Herbert, in my opinion.
- 8:09SPEAKER_00: And um, you know, the thing is Dante Foreman had an awesome year last year, too.
- 8:16SPEAKER_00: You know, it's when when McCaffrey was traded, um, Foreman stepped up and delivered.
- 8:23SPEAKER_00: He almost had a thousand rushing yards, and I think that you know, he had a one-year contract, then he went over to Chicago.
- 8:30SPEAKER_00: I think he's on a another one-year contract.
- 8:32SPEAKER_00: But the thing is, you know, he's proven that he can be that guy, he can be an RB1 on both teams.
- 8:40SPEAKER_00: He did it, and these aren't great teams, you know.
- 8:42SPEAKER_00: So he he's coming to play.
- 8:44SPEAKER_00: He's a big dude, too, man.
- 8:45SPEAKER_00: He's a truck, he's durable running back, he's a three-down back.
- 8:49SPEAKER_00: So I think it would be silly for them to switch gears now.
- 8:55SPEAKER_01: I think I think the move for uh obviously this is off top, but but talking about Dante Foreman that's two years in a row, like you said, one year contracts.
- 9:04SPEAKER_01: I mean, I could see this guy next year.
- 9:06SPEAKER_01: This is his last payday.
- 9:08SPEAKER_01: I don't see him getting a big contract because unfortunately, they have owners and management have devalued the running back position to the point where they just there's plenty of guys that were on active rosters last year that are just sitting as free agents right now.
- 9:20SPEAKER_01: I mean, look at Darrell Henderson, like the Rams sign him, and all of a sudden he's a you know, he's a fan RB 10, you know?
- 9:28SPEAKER_01: So like the RB position is what it used to.
- 9:31SPEAKER_01: So Rashawn will probably get a two-year deal next year, but I can see him actually finally being like, you know what, I'm gonna go to a contender.
- 9:38SPEAKER_01: If I'm gonna get get bottom dollar money, I'm gonna go somewhere where I'm gonna be appreciated, you know.
- 9:43SPEAKER_01: And and you, you know, I wouldn't be surprised you could end up somewhere like Philly, where they have a need for a bruiser back, and they're like, hey, we'll give you two years, four million, six million, and you know, and you know, you get the guaranteed workload.
- 9:55SPEAKER_01: Because at the end of the day, there's certain teams that have that need, you know.
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and he is a bruiser.
- 10:00SPEAKER_00: Foreman is a bruiser.
- 10:02SPEAKER_01: Speaking of bruisers, uh uh Damion Pierce is coming back, and I know you and I talked about that off camera, of course.
- 10:10SPEAKER_01: But um, obviously, Devin Singletary monster game last week.
- 10:13SPEAKER_01: He was obviously a great play for anybody.
- 10:15SPEAKER_01: He was uh obviously you you talked about ESPN projections.
- 10:18SPEAKER_01: He was projected like five points, even with the spar start and roll in a weak rush defense he was going against, and he he scored over 20.
- 10:25SPEAKER_01: So great game.
- 10:27SPEAKER_01: And I think what that does is it devalues Damion Pierce, it fades him, and now it's a committee.
- 10:32SPEAKER_01: And yes, Damien may start, but I think you can see Devin Singletary getting a lot more of those crucial touches, especially like the goal line touches, because he has proven to be able to get those yards in between.
- 10:43SPEAKER_01: And um, you've seen him throw a touchdown maybe about three or four weeks ago on the goal line.
- 10:48SPEAKER_01: He scores in between the tackles, so I think he's they're more efficient back.
- 10:52SPEAKER_01: So you can see him in a lot more goal line touches, so he's probably the more valuable of the two running backs.
- 10:58SPEAKER_00: I totally agree.
- 10:58SPEAKER_00: He's been a lot more efficient, he's looked a lot better.
- 11:02SPEAKER_00: Damien Pierce, I was so high on him last year, and he did have a good year last year, but he hasn't done anything this year.
- 11:09SPEAKER_00: It's been uh, in my opinion, it's been a lot easier to watch Singletary than Pierce.
- 11:17SPEAKER_00: So I'm I'm pretty sure that that's gonna be at a minimum a committee now.
- 11:23SPEAKER_00: But they might even start leaning on Singletary.
- 11:26SPEAKER_00: We'll see.
- 11:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah, definitely be a committee.
- 11:29SPEAKER_01: I agree with that, but um, the you're gonna get more points out of Singletary, though, unfortunately.
- 11:34SPEAKER_01: And much like yourself, I was high on uh Damian Pierce going into this year.
- 11:39SPEAKER_01: Adam Gray has like a fourth or fifth rounder in a 12-man league.
- 11:42SPEAKER_01: You know, obviously, uh people were reaching for him third or fourth.
- 11:46SPEAKER_01: I couldn't justify the reach.
- 11:47SPEAKER_01: You know, the only player I did reach on this year, I will admit I reached on two players that was uh Jameer Gibbs, you know, which it took him a little while, but now he's looking like you know the second, third round projection, right?
- 11:59SPEAKER_01: That we thought he'd be RB RB2.
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: Um I reached for him a couple leagues too, and you know, I snatched.
- 12:05SPEAKER_00: I knew I had to reach for him in in one of your leagues to snatch him, so you couldn't get him.
- 12:10SPEAKER_00: But I reached for him in a few leagues.
- 12:13SPEAKER_01: And I almost wish that you know, Steelers have a really bad, horrible offensive game, so they could fire Matt Canada and free them from that and hire like Byron Leff wish.
- 12:24SPEAKER_01: Like that would be like the greatest thing for that franchise to be able to have somebody that could design plays for your superstars, that would be amazing.
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: It's so bizarre that we have a rec or the Steelers have a record of six and three.
- 12:37SPEAKER_01: You know, it's at the fence, brother.
- 12:40SPEAKER_01: TJ Watts, the monster man, Hall of Famer.
- 12:44SPEAKER_00: Oh, without a doubt.
- 12:46SPEAKER_00: Um yeah, so uh another injury that I don't know exactly what's going on yet, but Michael Thomas something happened to his knee.
- 12:59SPEAKER_00: And I read that it's serious, but he's still listed as questionable.
- 13:05SPEAKER_00: You know, he's not out or downful or anything.
- 13:07SPEAKER_00: Um but if he's out for a few weeks, Rashid Shaheed, he's on a bye this week.
- 13:15SPEAKER_00: You can grab him because no one will be paying attention, and he might be you know a really good play for the next few weeks.
- 13:24SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I see what you mean.
- 13:25SPEAKER_01: Uh Michael Thomas fairly significant.
- 13:29SPEAKER_01: I see what you mean.
- 13:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, that's a weird thing to say, though.
- 13:32SPEAKER_00: And they say fairly significant knee injury.
- 13:35SPEAKER_01: No, I know what it is.
- 13:36SPEAKER_01: Uh, Michael Thomas doesn't want to play with Jameis Winston.
- 13:39SPEAKER_01: That's exactly what it is.
- 13:41SPEAKER_01: You watch that game, man.
- 13:42SPEAKER_01: Jameis started off hot and then he threw two picks to end the game.
- 13:46SPEAKER_00: Dude, I was looking at uh I was looking at Rashid Heed's targets.
- 13:50SPEAKER_00: He had nine targets and three catches.
- 13:52SPEAKER_00: I mean, damn.
- 13:54SPEAKER_01: You know, man, like Jameis just be he's reckless, man.
- 13:58SPEAKER_01: I see like it's it's hilarious.
- 13:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he always has been.
- 14:00SPEAKER_00: He's just slinging the ball.
- 14:02SPEAKER_00: It's it's fun sometimes, but damn.
- 14:05SPEAKER_01: Took Tampa Bay fans a long time to realize that we're here.
- 14:08SPEAKER_01: I'm here in Florida, so like I've been talking to Tampa Bay fans for many years, and I was like, Man, you guys were delusional, dude.
- 14:14SPEAKER_01: It was now they finally admit it.
- 14:16SPEAKER_00: He he had some great weeks for fantasy too, though, where you'd start him and you'd be like, whoa, big fucking yeah, yeah.
- 14:23SPEAKER_01: But if you're in leagues like our like mine, where you get penalized for your turnovers, and you're not seeing so many points.
- 14:30SPEAKER_01: And I love that because you can have a quarterback throw for five touchdowns.
- 14:33SPEAKER_01: You get five picks, that's 10 points off your your scored points.
- 14:37SPEAKER_01: So that can definitely hurt you.
- 14:39SPEAKER_01: Um, but yeah, uh, that's neither here nor there.
- 14:43SPEAKER_01: Uh, any uh free agents you recommend here pickups uh for the week, everything is pretty much pick clean.
- 14:49SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I th I just think that you know, a sneaky ad if he's available, which he's there's a good chance he is, Rashid Shahid.
- 14:56SPEAKER_00: There's a you know, I know you had to trade for Dobbs, but there's a chance Dobbs is available, and I think he's gonna be uh he, you know, last three weeks he's been great.
- 15:04SPEAKER_00: Last two weeks on Minnesota's look great.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: And um, I'm not as down on Addison, Hawkinson, and Justin Jefferson anymore.
- 15:12SPEAKER_00: I think they could be successful.
- 15:14SPEAKER_00: And obviously, Minnesota has faith in Dobbs if they're bringing him onto the team and and they're trying to, you know, win football games, they're not just folding.
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: So that's cool.
- 15:24SPEAKER_00: That's good to see.
- 15:26SPEAKER_01: You think they got a quarterback controversy?
- 15:28SPEAKER_01: Do you pay Kirk Cousins$200 million or do you pay uh Josh Dobbs the$40 million for the next two years and get similar results, right?
- 15:38SPEAKER_01: Like uh it's possible.
- 15:40SPEAKER_01: Matter of fact, he won't.
- 15:41SPEAKER_01: I mean, I guess the games he won weren't really against tough teams, but they were projected to lose.
- 15:46SPEAKER_01: So, in my opinion, if you win games, you're projected to lose in the NFL.
- 15:50SPEAKER_01: There's no easy game.
- 15:52SPEAKER_01: So, you know, that should show something about his uh his skill level, right?
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 15:58SPEAKER_00: And and then Ty Chandler is now the running back for the Vikings.
- 16:02SPEAKER_00: So um, I don't think they had him involved at all in the passing game, but he had like double-digit carries last week.
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: I don't think he was very efficient.
- 16:14SPEAKER_00: Um, I didn't look at his stats, but watching it, he didn't look spectacular.
- 16:19SPEAKER_00: But uh you might as well pick him up, you know, if you got uh space on your bench and you just want to see what happens over the next couple weeks, because um Alexander Madison's gonna be out this week, and uh this week at a minimum, maybe next week too.
- 16:33SPEAKER_00: You never know.
- 16:34SPEAKER_00: Roshan Johnson was out for like three or four weeks with the King Catching or something, three weeks.
- 16:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and uh Noah Ganu is the four-stream running back.
- 16:43SPEAKER_01: He's uh I guess he's more their pass catching back.
- 16:46SPEAKER_01: He was supposed to be the third guy on the death chart in front of Ty Chandler coming into the season.
- 16:50SPEAKER_01: He just didn't get anything.
- 16:51SPEAKER_01: Kennan Oganu, no, no waganu, but uh regardless, but yeah, that I don't really I wouldn't put a lot of stock into those guys, but yeah, you're right.
- 17:00SPEAKER_01: You know, just Jefferson come coming back, you could see that as a really pass heavy and you know uh really good offense.
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: But yeah, without further ado, let's oh, I just gotta sorry, I was gonna mention one more that it's a it's a total long shot, but maybe worth a stash is Keaton Mitchell.
- 17:17SPEAKER_00: I might even have his name wrong.
- 17:18SPEAKER_00: The Baltimore running back that's uh last couple weeks has has been very, very efficient with limited touches.
- 17:29SPEAKER_00: So if if you're in a position where you only have two running backs and you just want to stash a guy to see what happens, he's worth a stash.
- 17:38SPEAKER_00: Gus Edwards is probably the guy.
- 17:39SPEAKER_00: Baltimore is uh team that you can never trust as far as what's going on with the backfield.
- 17:45SPEAKER_00: But I think he's I think he's worth an ad if you you know have someone like that's just kind of lingering at the end of your bench and you're like, why am I holding on to this guy?
- 17:56SPEAKER_00: I might as well fill that spot with him.
- 17:58SPEAKER_00: You know, put put Keaton Mitchell on there or whatever his name is, see what happens.
- 18:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah, definitely.
- 18:05SPEAKER_01: He's he's uh he he could be a good flex for sure, um, especially over there.
- 18:11SPEAKER_00: And without further ado, let's get to our hot matchups of the week.
- 18:20SPEAKER_01: What's going on, big ballers?
- 18:22SPEAKER_01: Now it's it's getting hot in here.
- 18:24SPEAKER_01: It's time for your hot matchup of the week over here.
- 18:28SPEAKER_01: Joe, what do you have for your five uh first hot matchup here?
- 18:32SPEAKER_00: My first hot matchup, um let me check.
- 18:36SPEAKER_00: And by the way, I just want to say last week, uh Lions versus Chargers, that hot matchup hit big time.
- 18:43SPEAKER_00: 79 total points.
- 18:45SPEAKER_00: All the guys we expect to have big days certainly did.
- 18:49SPEAKER_00: Um, but my first hot matchup really fun game is the Bengals versus the Ravens.
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: Uh divisional matchup, two teams that have been smoking on offense.
- 19:02SPEAKER_00: Well, actually, I shouldn't say Ravens have been doing very well, but their offense has been a little shaky.
- 19:08SPEAKER_00: But I think this is a bounce back week for Lamar and um Mark Andrews.
- 19:14SPEAKER_00: And I just think with the Bengals, uh, you know, you've got Jamar Chase and Burrow who's back looking great.
- 19:20SPEAKER_00: Um, Mixon may have a hard time against the run.
- 19:24SPEAKER_00: Um but all altogether you're looking at a divisional matchup with two teams that are uh going to be playing their absolute best.
- 19:33SPEAKER_01: You know it's gonna be a slug fest.
- 19:35SPEAKER_00: It will be a slug fest.
- 19:37SPEAKER_00: And if if the uh the Ravens have been causing a lot of turnovers and their high power defense, um if they can just create more turnovers, that's why that's why the one uh the game I called that was gonna be a cold call turned into a hot matchup because he had two turnovers from both sides and uh no one expected the Browns to play as well as they did.
- 19:59SPEAKER_00: But um regardless, you're talking about a defense that can you know just create turnovers, and then if uh the Bengals are playing from behind, you've got Burrow throwing to Jamar Chase.
- 20:14SPEAKER_00: Um Mixon, I don't think will have a great game, but I I feel like collectively you're gonna see a lot of points.
- 20:21SPEAKER_00: Um Lamar's gonna have to bounce back.
- 20:24SPEAKER_00: If he doesn't bounce back, it's a little concerning uh for fantasy owners at least.
- 20:28SPEAKER_00: Um, but you got two good two good teams, two great offenses in a divisional matchup.
- 20:35SPEAKER_00: And uh yeah, I think it's just gonna be a high-powered game.
- 20:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah, definitely.
- 20:41SPEAKER_01: I mean, I think I I agree with you because Joe Burrow just, man, got shut down last game.
- 20:46SPEAKER_01: It was an ugly game for him.
- 20:48SPEAKER_01: I mean, they yeah, they I mean they scored 27 points, but it was I mean, Texans really showed out that game.
- 20:55SPEAKER_01: It wasn't the Bengals.
- 20:56SPEAKER_01: The Bengals had a rough game at home.
- 20:58SPEAKER_01: So Burrow is all about that energy.
- 21:00SPEAKER_01: They want to prove that they belong.
- 21:01SPEAKER_01: They're five and four, you know, so they're gonna have to shoot it out.
- 21:05SPEAKER_01: Uh the Ravens are I think they are six or they're seven.
- 21:10SPEAKER_01: Let me check their record right now.
- 21:12SPEAKER_01: Ravens are seven and three.
- 21:14SPEAKER_01: So actually, um, I could see the Bengals taking that one just to upset them because Ravens would be seven and four, Bengals would be six and four.
- 21:22SPEAKER_01: Um, so you so but they're gonna have to outscore the Ravens to win this.
- 21:26SPEAKER_01: And the only way to outscore them is they're gonna have Barrels gonna have to get that ball out quick because Ravens are gonna be sending that house on them.
- 21:33SPEAKER_01: So that's why you could, you know, it's gonna be knockout blows, a lot of Jamar Chase, you know, a lot of uh obviously Lamar Jackson, right? 'Cause I I think that Hendri Hendrickson and you know uh Sam Hubbard are great DNs for Cincinnati, but they're not really known for being light footed, right?
- 21:52SPEAKER_01: So I could see Lamar running all over that.
- 21:55SPEAKER_01: So it's gonna be a good matchup.
- 21:56SPEAKER_01: I'm definitely looking forward to it.
- 21:58SPEAKER_00: I'm looking forward to um You know, one of those freak games from Lamar.
- 22:03SPEAKER_00: I I really have a hot a hard time saying who's gonna win, but I'm gonna I'm gonna go with Baltimore just just so so we can uh disagree and come back to it next week.
- 22:13SPEAKER_00: But I think Lamar is gonna uh you know he's wrong he will be able to run on them a lot better than he you know a lot better than he has in the last couple weeks.
- 22:25SPEAKER_00: And uh Mark Andrews is gonna come out pissed off too.
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: Again, it's a divisional game, so it's expect them to just to just be ready to go.
- 22:34SPEAKER_00: Uh what about you?
- 22:36SPEAKER_00: What's your first hot matchup?
- 22:41SPEAKER_01: You know, it's it was really hard to think about this.
- 22:44SPEAKER_01: You know, I had to think about it.
- 22:45SPEAKER_01: I was like, what's gonna be the American the best game of the week?
- 22:49SPEAKER_01: And it's none other than the Super Bowl matchup between yours truly the Philadelphia Eagles best team in the NFC going up against the best team in AFC.
- 22:58SPEAKER_01: I don't care what Colin Calterd says on you know on his show about you know turnovers, because at the end of the day, you know, winning football games is you know, you yes, it is about winning the turnover battle.
- 23:13SPEAKER_01: That's the most cliche model you could say about anybody.
- 23:16SPEAKER_01: But if in today's NFL, it's about outscoring the other person because this is an offensive league.
- 23:21SPEAKER_01: The the rule changes made sure that, and you could have a horrible defense and and beat the other team.
- 23:27SPEAKER_01: Doesn't mean that that's sustainable throughout the playoffs because when you get to the playoffs, you gotta actually dig in.
- 23:33SPEAKER_01: I think the Eagles eventually are gonna find their identity because of injuries, but uh that ain't gonna be today, bud, or tomorrow or this weekend.
- 23:41SPEAKER_01: So that's gonna be a shootout.
- 23:43SPEAKER_01: Kelsey's all in love, you know.
- 23:45SPEAKER_01: He has to impress all the Swifties, and uh his girlfriend is an Eagles fan, and she betrayed the green.
- 23:51SPEAKER_01: She's gonna be wearing uh Chiefs gear, so she was she's not a true Eagles fan.
- 23:56SPEAKER_01: You can't be an Eagles fan, and then just because your boyfriend plays for the Chiefs, you gotta do what Mama Kelsey does.
- 24:02SPEAKER_01: You gotta have the half Eagles half Chiefs, dude.
- 24:05SPEAKER_00: Why didn't she do that half?
- 24:06SPEAKER_00: That's a good call.
- 24:08SPEAKER_00: Why wouldn't she just go half?
- 24:10SPEAKER_01: Mama Kelsey has somebody that does that.
- 24:13SPEAKER_01: You have no excuse for that, and then you get brownie points with mama Kelsey and the whole family so true to show true true loyalty, but you know what?
- 24:23SPEAKER_01: She had to put the she had to go against Eagles fans.
- 24:26SPEAKER_00: Man, they could have even made a commercial out of that if she got half and half, you know.
- 24:31SPEAKER_00: They could have had won over Philly, man.
- 24:34SPEAKER_01: Now she pissed Philly off.
- 24:36SPEAKER_01: So now they're gonna feel that red and yellow confetti, man.
- 24:40SPEAKER_01: Everybody's Philly's feeling it, you know.
- 24:43SPEAKER_01: Everybody from Kansas City was in the in the spotlight.
- 24:46SPEAKER_01: Philly was not because they're focused.
- 24:48SPEAKER_01: They got bulletin board material, they want revenge, and people are gonna say, hey, it's just a regular season, it don't matter.
- 24:55SPEAKER_01: Chiefs, you know, come into playoffs.
- 24:57SPEAKER_01: You know, I don't even like to be honest, I want to see how they show up tomorrow.
- 25:01SPEAKER_01: I'm sure they're gonna put up points, but uh, and their defense is better than last year.
- 25:05SPEAKER_01: I will be honest, their defense is better than ours.
- 25:07SPEAKER_01: Definitely.
- 25:08SPEAKER_01: Their offense doesn't show up.
- 25:10SPEAKER_01: If their offense doesn't show up, you know, if Kelsey doesn't show up, then you know they're gonna have a long day.
- 25:15SPEAKER_01: So they're gonna have to keep passing to Kelsey and Pacheco ain't gonna have a good day.
- 25:20SPEAKER_01: Let me just tell you that right now, not against number one rush defense.
- 25:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's the thing, is like um the Chiefs defense has looked much better this year.
- 25:31SPEAKER_00: Uh but but the Philly defense is still rock solid.
- 25:35SPEAKER_00: And and again, as you were just saying, you know, they're they're still gonna be able to get past that.
- 25:39SPEAKER_00: I mean, Hertz and AJ Brown have been fantastic.
- 25:46SPEAKER_00: And on top of that, you know, you've got Devonta Smith, and then you've got um Swift, you know, Swift has been playing great too.
- 25:55SPEAKER_00: So I just expect this game, you know, that with with as many options uh on either side of the field.
- 26:02SPEAKER_00: What what's funny though is the Chiefs' offense has been a little streaky, you know.
- 26:07SPEAKER_00: Kelsey hasn't been the same guy this year, and I know uh he's not technically 100%, but um distracted, yeah.
- 26:16SPEAKER_00: They've and they and they've never really had a wide receiver core since Tyreek left, but I think Rasheed Rice is gonna have a great game.
- 26:24SPEAKER_00: I expect him, I expect this to be his best game so far this season.
- 26:29SPEAKER_00: Um and I'm gonna talk a little bit more about that later, huh?
- 26:34SPEAKER_00: I get I'm sorry.
- 26:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 26:36SPEAKER_01: But I got more to add to that.
- 26:38SPEAKER_01: Obviously, you're right, you know, like Eagles offense, you know, is definitely um AJ Brown, Jalen Hurts connection is my favorite.
- 26:44SPEAKER_01: Did you accept that trade, by the way?
- 26:46SPEAKER_00: It's still in my inbox.
- 26:48SPEAKER_00: Um I'm gonna go.
- 26:50SPEAKER_01: Oh, he didn't send it over.
- 26:52SPEAKER_01: He sent it to me.
- 26:53SPEAKER_01: You you need to accept it, and you need to not think any more about no no the side I would have is the side you say so.
- 27:02SPEAKER_00: I have Gibbs and AJ Brown, and he oh he wants Gibbs and AJ Brown, and he's willing to trade oh no no no, never mind.
- 27:11SPEAKER_01: Keep Gibbs and AJ Brown.
- 27:13SPEAKER_01: Sorry, I thought you were being offered absolutely not.
- 27:17SPEAKER_01: No, yeah, and uh that's the higher upside.
- 27:19SPEAKER_01: Now I see why he wants that trade, excuse me.
- 27:22SPEAKER_01: So I misread that message then.
- 27:24SPEAKER_00: And yeah, so so just for the viewers, I was offered, I have Jameer Gibbs and AJ Brown.
- 27:32SPEAKER_00: I was offered Stefan Diggs and Alvin Kamara for Jameer Gibbs and AJ Brown.
- 27:38SPEAKER_00: It's still sitting in my inbox right now.
- 27:40SPEAKER_00: Um, I'm thinking about it, but I mean it's almost like an even wash.
- 27:46SPEAKER_00: You know, it's almost like what are you doing this trade for?
- 27:48SPEAKER_00: Just a trade.
- 27:49SPEAKER_00: But I had I think there's a little bit more stability and uh and as you said, Manny, upside uh with Jameer Gibbs and AJ Brown.
- 27:57SPEAKER_00: And it's hard to trade those guys when you see them firing on all cylinders on both of them are on a high powered offense.
- 28:05SPEAKER_00: Whereas Alvin Kamara and Stephon Diggs, you know, I don't know what's going on with Buffalo right now, but it didn't I I don't think Stephon Diggs is gonna be in a slump.
- 28:14SPEAKER_00: I think I think this week he's gonna bounce back in a huge way.
- 28:18SPEAKER_00: I expect a huge game from Josh Allen and from Diggs, but uh Alvin Kamara's on a bye this week.
- 28:25SPEAKER_00: I think Diggs is on a buy in like two or three weeks.
- 28:28SPEAKER_00: I'm not even concerned about the buy because I'm in first place in that league, but I agree with you.
- 28:33SPEAKER_00: I think there's a little bit more stability and upside just based on what we've seen so far from AJ Brown and Jameer Gibbs.
- 28:40SPEAKER_00: So I'm gonna stick with them.
- 28:41SPEAKER_00: I'm not accepting the trade.
- 28:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and also schedule, strength is schedule.
- 28:46SPEAKER_01: Eagles have a you know, this next three games are gonna be tough.
- 28:50SPEAKER_01: It's Niners, Bills, Chiefs next three games, and the Cowboys fourth game.
- 28:54SPEAKER_01: So some good teams, and the rest after that are our cupcake teams for the playoff schedule.
- 28:59SPEAKER_01: So uh, I mean, I'd definitely rather take that than an inconsistent Saints offense or struggling Bills defense, you know, Bill's offense or like new offensive coordinator could be like the Raiders, right?
- 29:11SPEAKER_01: And Antonio Pierce, all of a sudden they're this revamp motivated team, but you just fired the guy that Josh Allen endorsed.
- 29:19SPEAKER_01: You know, is it is there trouble in paradise?
- 29:22SPEAKER_01: You know, digs' brothers, you know, like hey, get my brother out of there.
- 29:27SPEAKER_02: I think Trevon Diggs is stirring drama.
- 29:30SPEAKER_00: I almost accepted the trade just because I love Stefan Diggs so much.
- 29:34SPEAKER_00: I love the way he is towards the media, and you know how he kind of disrespects the spotlight.
- 29:41SPEAKER_00: I just love that about him so much that I want him on my team.
- 29:45SPEAKER_01: He doesn't want it.
- 29:46SPEAKER_01: I know, yeah, he doesn't want all that.
- 29:48SPEAKER_01: He's not a flashy dude.
- 29:49SPEAKER_01: I know uh they're trying to portray him as like this bad guy or this anti-hero.
- 29:54SPEAKER_01: He's a very likable guy, he gives back to his community, he doesn't cause problems or drama, he takes care of his family, his own.
- 30:01SPEAKER_01: And then the the the media give him and he handled the situation right.
- 30:05SPEAKER_01: Like when he left Minnesota, people say he was immature.
- 30:09SPEAKER_01: He learned from that, he grew from that.
- 30:10SPEAKER_01: He had problems with Josh Allen, like the situation in the offseason with the Bills' offense because they were supposed to get better, and he took a uh a pay cut or something.
- 30:19SPEAKER_01: I mean, he was a kid, you know what I mean?
- 30:22SPEAKER_01: Well, he's he's a he's 20-something, but he took his contract to help them.
- 30:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah, what I was saying is that he restructured his contract so they could go ahead and add more talent to the team, and instead of doing that, they ended up spending it elsewhere.
- 30:35SPEAKER_01: I can't recall what it is exactly that Buffalo did, but um he definitely wasn't happy.
- 30:41SPEAKER_01: That's why Diggs had the whole dilemma and the whole issue with Buffalo coming in.
- 30:45SPEAKER_01: So I and then uh, but Trevon Diggs, what he said, he said that um Josh Allen was nothing to my brother got there.
- 30:54SPEAKER_01: And I mean, he was right because everybody was talking about Josh Allen's gonna have that breakout.
- 30:58SPEAKER_01: What did they do?
- 30:59SPEAKER_01: They followed the Philly model.
- 31:00SPEAKER_01: We went and got AJ Brown for Jalen Hurts.
- 31:03SPEAKER_01: Now Jalen Hurts is one of the best quarterbacks in the league.
- 31:05SPEAKER_01: What they do, they got one of the best wide receivers in the game is Stefan Diggs.
- 31:09SPEAKER_01: And man, that guy, like when he catches the ball yards after the catch is amazing because like they'll swing tackle arm tackle him.
- 31:16SPEAKER_01: He'll like keep driving his feet and just run for a touchdown.
- 31:20SPEAKER_01: Like the dude's amazing.
- 31:22SPEAKER_00: Now you're making me want to accept this trade.
- 31:25SPEAKER_01: No, but he no, I wouldn't take that trade though.
- 31:28SPEAKER_01: He's amazing, but Josh Allen's gonna have a rough day or a rough schedule, man.
- 31:32SPEAKER_00: It's yeah, I mean, I'm I'm not really I'm not really worried about either one of them, but I understand what you're saying.
- 31:43SPEAKER_00: So um my second hot matchup of the week is the Rams versus the Seahawks.
- 31:53SPEAKER_00: And there's a lot of uh uncertainty with the Rams right now.
- 31:58SPEAKER_00: Um Kyron Williams is gonna be out again.
- 32:01SPEAKER_00: Uh I think he's back in like two weeks.
- 32:04SPEAKER_00: Um but the Seahawks have looked uh better.
- 32:09SPEAKER_00: And if Stafford's back, he's gonna have Puka and he's gonna have Cup.
- 32:15SPEAKER_00: So I feel like this game is just going to be again another divisional matchup.
- 32:20SPEAKER_00: And um there's gonna be a lot of throwing back and forth between both teams.
- 32:26SPEAKER_00: And you know, you got Kenneth Walker, um, DK Metcalf, bounce back, and he looked great last week.
- 32:32SPEAKER_00: I expect him to continue that for the rest of the season.
- 32:36SPEAKER_00: And um, I mean, really, when it comes to these divisional matchups where the offense outweighs the defense, you can just expect fireworks, and that's what I'm expecting this time around as well.
- 32:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that that's definitely gonna be uh uh a good game, a lot to watch here.
- 32:55SPEAKER_01: Um, Seahawks, Rams.
- 32:56SPEAKER_01: Uh Rams are coming off a bye week too.
- 32:59SPEAKER_01: Uh Seahawks finally had their they won that game last week.
- 33:02SPEAKER_01: It was a close one, it was a shootout to the fourth quarter, and they wanted it from behind.
- 33:06SPEAKER_01: So they they have some good momentum.
- 33:08SPEAKER_01: So I could see that them translating over.
- 33:10SPEAKER_01: Kenneth Walker's had some slow games, so maybe they get him involved early.
- 33:14SPEAKER_01: Uh, and then Rams coming off a bye week.
- 33:17SPEAKER_01: Um, I don't know if they have Matt Stafford coming back, but you know, a healthy Puka Nakua, Cooper Cup, you know, uh that should help out.
- 33:24SPEAKER_00: But um Stafford is supposed to be a game.
- 33:27SPEAKER_00: That's what they're saying now, at least.
- 33:29SPEAKER_00: And and the thing is, like Gino, I know it's hard to trust Gino, but I feel like you can trust DK if you got him, play him.
- 33:37SPEAKER_00: Obviously, I mean it's not like you wouldn't play him anyway.
- 33:40SPEAKER_00: Um, you know, Lockett's gonna be probably, I think in this game specifically, Lockett is a good play.
- 33:47SPEAKER_00: He's been a little up and down, but um, you should be confident starting him this week.
- 33:52SPEAKER_00: And um can Kenneth Walker, uh, the Rams don't really have a great run defense, so I I think he's gonna score a touchdown too.
- 34:01SPEAKER_00: I just think there's gonna be points across the board from both teams.
- 34:04SPEAKER_00: Where they come from, it's hard to say, but I'd be playing.
- 34:07SPEAKER_00: If you've got Puka, if you've got Cup, I'd play him.
- 34:10SPEAKER_00: Uh, if you got Kenneth Walker, Lockett, or DK, play them too.
- 34:17SPEAKER_01: Definitely.
- 34:19SPEAKER_00: And uh, what's your second hot matchup, Manny?
- 34:23SPEAKER_01: Uh for me, I went ahead and went with the Raiders versus the Dolphins.
- 34:28SPEAKER_01: Uh, just because the Dolphins are coming off a bye week, so they're fresh.
- 34:32SPEAKER_01: Uh, they have to, you know, stop uh resurging Raiders team.
- 34:37SPEAKER_01: Raiders are on a two-game win streak ever since they fired our coach, Josh McDaniels, the dumpster fire.
- 34:42SPEAKER_01: He was worse than John Gruden as far as like the mess that they got themselves into because they're paying him for the next five years.
- 34:48SPEAKER_01: I know they try to uh paint the sympathy picture for him because uh he got fired on Halloween, right?
- 34:54SPEAKER_01: So uh I guess owner Mark Davis called Josh McDaniels called him and fired him.
- 34:59SPEAKER_01: And then uh what Josh McDaniels did is he called his family in on Halloween and he told them that he got fired.
- 35:08SPEAKER_01: And he's like, You ruined my kid's Halloween.
- 35:10SPEAKER_01: I'm like, why didn't you just like take your kids trick-or-treating and just tell them the next day after they're like done with candy?
- 35:17SPEAKER_01: Like, why'd you have to screw up everybody's night?
- 35:19SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, but I forgot that I'm under contract for five years and they have to pay me five million dollars, seven million dollars a year.
- 35:26SPEAKER_01: So, hey, I got fired, guys, but I still have a uh a severance.
- 35:30SPEAKER_01: I know, man.
- 35:32SPEAKER_00: Like he's Charlie Bucket's dad coming home from the chocolate factory.
- 35:36SPEAKER_00: Like I got fired, or the from the toothpaste factory.
- 35:39SPEAKER_00: I got fired.
- 35:42SPEAKER_01: Nah, he's like freaking Will Smith off pursuit of happiness over here.
- 35:46SPEAKER_01: Like, yeah, I know.
- 35:47SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, guys, like you feel bad for me.
- 35:49SPEAKER_01: Like the dude's a total weirdo, man.
- 35:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you got five dollars in your pocket, man.
- 35:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like sorry, bro.
- 35:55SPEAKER_01: Nobody feels bad for you.
- 35:56SPEAKER_01: You had uh, you know, you you definitely did good for yourself.
- 36:00SPEAKER_01: You might have to be you could be an offensive coordinator somewhere.
- 36:03SPEAKER_01: You're just not a head coach, you're not a manager of people.
- 36:05SPEAKER_01: Like, I think a head coach has to be relatable to people, but uh regardless, that's the um that's Raiders versus Dolphins.
- 36:13SPEAKER_01: Like I said, uh Raiders are popping up, Josh Jacos being used.
- 36:17SPEAKER_01: Devontae Adams finally had a solid game last week.
- 36:20SPEAKER_01: I don't I think gone are the days where you're gonna see 30, 40 point gains from Devontae Adams, but um Dolphins like to beat up on weak teams, so expect it to be like a 50-point score from their set.
- 36:32SPEAKER_00: What do you think about Jacoby Myers and Devontae Adams specifically with this with this game?
- 36:41SPEAKER_01: I mean, I would probably uh if we're looking at like who would ever rather start.
- 36:45SPEAKER_01: I mean, if I had the choice between the two, obviously, like I would go Devontae Adams, but if we're talking about like daily fantasy, like as far as price point, I think they both might be too expensive for their price point.
- 36:57SPEAKER_01: I don't know, I haven't taken a look at it, but like I know that they've had both of them overpriced.
- 37:01SPEAKER_01: Like Jacoby Myers is almost like a thousand or like fifteen hundred cheaper than Devontae.
- 37:06SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, for a possibility of not having a role, like his role was big with McDaniels there.
- 37:11SPEAKER_00: It's been a different role since it's strange, it's really hard to tell what's going on, what to expect.
- 37:17SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 37:18SPEAKER_01: So, but I mean, I think overall you could get a solid flex, but you're not gonna get those, you know, wide receiver one numbers or five numbers you were getting from him early on in the season.
- 37:28SPEAKER_01: You're you're you're just gonna have to, you know.
- 37:30SPEAKER_01: I would rather obviously start Devontae over him if I had if I had both him on my weekly, you know, my season-long fancy.
- 37:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 37:37SPEAKER_00: I mean, I figured that much.
- 37:38SPEAKER_00: And I mean, you know, Devontae got a ton of targets last week.
- 37:42SPEAKER_00: I think he had 13 targets.
- 37:43SPEAKER_02: And um, I'm not sure.
- 37:46SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 37:47SPEAKER_00: I'm not sure what what Jacoby got, but it's I'm I'm just wondering if that's gonna like change each week or if it's just gonna be you know steady, kind of like what what you got going on over with the Jets right now.
- 37:59SPEAKER_00: We got Wilson to Wilson, the wit the Wilson duo, where it's just like 10 to 15 targets to Garrett Wilson every week.
- 38:08SPEAKER_00: But but they're not the they're not the best passes, but you know he's gonna get the volume.
- 38:13SPEAKER_00: It could be like that with Devontae.
- 38:15SPEAKER_01: Well, I think I think it's always it's gonna be Devontae because they're paying them so much money, they got to keep them happy because they can't just get out of that contract, right?
- 38:23SPEAKER_01: And if they don't keep them happy, they lose all leverage.
- 38:25SPEAKER_01: As soon as a player starts demanding the trade teams could get them for cheap.
- 38:29SPEAKER_01: Um and if you look, he he made the comparison two weeks ago.
- 38:32SPEAKER_01: He said, I want, you know, I see Josh Jacobs and Devontae Adams being like the 90s Cowboys, you know, Emma Smith and Michael Irvin, right?
- 38:40SPEAKER_01: Right weird analogy, him being a Giants player, and I guess he's from I I don't know where he grew up, but uh maybe he's a Cowboys fan.
- 38:50SPEAKER_01: I'm not sure.
- 38:50SPEAKER_01: But that was a weird analogy.
- 38:52SPEAKER_01: But anyway, so that that tells me that he's gonna probably lean heavily towards Devontae.
- 38:56SPEAKER_01: Um, you know, trying to go for that duo.
- 38:58SPEAKER_01: And if we are looking up Jacoby Myers, he had um, I looked up his stats.
- 39:02SPEAKER_01: Last three weeks have been bad.
- 39:04SPEAKER_00: Last three weeks have been really bad.
- 39:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's been uh yeah, he last week he had two two targets, you know, 21 yards.
- 39:12SPEAKER_01: So, you know, he's he's taking a back seat, which he should have.
- 39:15SPEAKER_01: Like the fact that he had all that, like people, if you didn't sell high on Jacoby Myers, you know, by the time they fire McDaniels, you you missed your you missed your shot.
- 39:25SPEAKER_01: Because pretty much that that was a good one.
- 39:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you're not gonna get the value now.
- 39:28SPEAKER_00: Like now you buy you gotta just hope he bounces back.
- 39:32SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like look at freaking Devontae Adams, uh, for example, he has 57 receptions for the season, 98 targets, and we're only 10 games into the season.
- 39:42SPEAKER_01: You know, and that's considering the fact that the Raiders, uh, well, they haven't had a bye week yet, but 10 games in, he's had pretty much 10 targets a game.
- 39:50SPEAKER_01: And last week you're right, he had 13 receptions.
- 39:52SPEAKER_01: He only had uh sorry, 13 targets and six receptions.
- 39:56SPEAKER_01: So they're gonna feature him a little bit more, but you could tell they're gonna lean more heavily on the run again.
- 40:00SPEAKER_01: So if you have Josh Jacobs, his stock has taken a temporary boost as well.
- 40:06SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
- 40:08SPEAKER_01: What about you?
- 40:09SPEAKER_01: What's your next matchup uh for the week here?
- 40:12SPEAKER_00: Um, well, we're going to the cold calls now.
- 40:16SPEAKER_00: So let's jump in the refrigerator.
- 40:19SPEAKER_00: What's what's that line for uh what's that line from Tropic Thunder?
- 40:27SPEAKER_00: Who left the fridge open?
- 40:30SPEAKER_01: I can't remember.
- 40:31SPEAKER_01: It's been so long, but I love that movie.
- 40:34SPEAKER_01: I can't quote it if I wanted to.
- 40:37SPEAKER_01: I actually depressed myself today, man.
- 40:39SPEAKER_01: I was like, man, I used to love this movie when I was a kid.
- 40:42SPEAKER_01: Let me rewatch the whole thing because I don't remember if I watched this.
- 40:45SPEAKER_01: I rewatched Saving Private Ryan.
- 40:47SPEAKER_01: Oh, man.
- 40:48SPEAKER_01: And I forgot that they kill everybody in that movie.
- 40:51SPEAKER_00: Oh, dude, it's it's one of the best movies ever, but yeah, it's so sad.
- 40:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's a good movie, and it it paints the picture of obviously like completely off-target a topic here.
- 41:01SPEAKER_01: But I was like, man, like that just really depressed me, man.
- 41:04SPEAKER_01: That was sad.
- 41:05SPEAKER_01: It's really sad.
- 41:07SPEAKER_00: Touch it.
- 41:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's a great, great movie, and um, yeah, yeah, everyone dies.
- 41:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but I mean, I remember, you know, Barry Pepper was the sniper, and when they took him out, yeah, oh man, and the tower, yeah.
- 41:21SPEAKER_00: He was he was such a badass in that movie.
- 41:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he was, yeah, he was.
- 41:29SPEAKER_01: But yeah, what's uh cold calls?
- 41:30SPEAKER_01: Who's who's starting it off over here?
- 41:32SPEAKER_01: You want to start us off with the cold calls?
- 41:34SPEAKER_00: I'll start us off.
- 41:35SPEAKER_00: I'll start it off.
- 41:42SPEAKER_00: Who left the fridge open?
- 41:44SPEAKER_00: It's time for the cold call of the week.
- 41:47SPEAKER_00: And my first cold call is the Steelers.
- 41:52SPEAKER_00: Actually, we only do one.
- 41:53SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry.
- 41:54SPEAKER_00: My cold call is the Steelers versus the Browns.
- 41:58SPEAKER_00: Both teams are somehow six and three.
- 42:01SPEAKER_00: Uh, but if you've been watching um either team play, it's pretty hard to understand.
- 42:06SPEAKER_00: Uh, there's nobody on either team that I would start with confidence.
- 42:11SPEAKER_00: Deshaun Watson now out for the season.
- 42:13SPEAKER_00: I forget the guy's name that's going to be starting in place of him, uh, but you're not playing him.
- 42:19SPEAKER_00: You're not gonna play Amari Cooper.
- 42:21SPEAKER_00: Or if you are, it's because you have no other option.
- 42:25SPEAKER_00: Um, I wouldn't start Pickens, I wouldn't start Deontay Harris or uh uh Deontay Johnson.
- 42:32SPEAKER_00: I don't I don't know what happened to those guys last week, but that was brutal.
- 42:36SPEAKER_00: Um the Steelers are gonna lean on the run.
- 42:39SPEAKER_00: You know, Jalen Warren and Najee Harris have actually looked really good the last couple weeks, but now they're going against the Browns, and that's gonna be tough sledding for both of those guys.
- 42:51SPEAKER_00: Um yeah, and like who are you playing on Cleveland?
- 42:56SPEAKER_00: I guess you're gonna play Jerome Ford, and I guess if you really, really are scrapping, you'll play Kareem Hunt.
- 43:05SPEAKER_00: But there's no one on either side of the football that I'd be starting with a smile on my face, like, yeah, they're gonna eat today.
- 43:11SPEAKER_00: No, they're not.
- 43:12SPEAKER_00: They're gonna probably be scrapping.
- 43:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah, definitely.
- 43:16SPEAKER_01: I would um I agree with you.
- 43:17SPEAKER_01: Jerome Ford is the only one I I have some shred of confidence in on the Cleveland side.
- 43:23SPEAKER_01: That's it.
- 43:24SPEAKER_01: The quarterback's Doriel or Dorian Green Thompson or something like that from UCLA.
- 43:29SPEAKER_01: I don't know exactly his name, so I'm I could be wrong on that.
- 43:32SPEAKER_00: He did have like a three three names, though.
- 43:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, a name of three names.
- 43:36SPEAKER_01: Dorian Thompson or some Green Thompson.
- 43:39SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 43:40SPEAKER_01: But uh, but yeah, uh as far as on the other side, I I definitely um Steelers side, you're right.
- 43:46SPEAKER_01: There's been a decline.
- 43:47SPEAKER_01: That's how I was saying, you know, they need a new offensive coordinator in Pittsburgh, because that's just mess.
- 43:52SPEAKER_01: You have all that talent, you can't get on the ball.
- 43:54SPEAKER_01: You're running the ball, like it's uh yeah, they're winning games, but they're not they're not taking shots, they're relying.
- 44:00SPEAKER_01: On defense, way too much, and unfortunately, when it comes to like football games, you can't let the defense bail you out all the time.
- 44:06SPEAKER_01: You gotta take shots, you gotta make plays, and if you don't put give the your team the chance to do that, you're not gonna be in a position to do that.
- 44:13SPEAKER_00: So and and these games have been so difficult to watch, it's so nerve-wracking, and and it's never like all right, yeah, we're starting off great, we're gonna you know knock them out early.
- 44:25SPEAKER_00: Never.
- 44:26SPEAKER_00: It's always going to the end, and you're like swearing at the TV screen, wondering what the hell is going on, and then somehow pull off a win.
- 44:35SPEAKER_00: But yeah, six and three shocking from both from both teams.
- 44:39SPEAKER_00: It's also another divisional matchup, so they're gonna play real hard.
- 44:44SPEAKER_00: But it's it's going to be a very defensive uh battle.
- 44:49SPEAKER_00: It has to be.
- 44:50SPEAKER_00: I don't see how it couldn't be.
- 44:51SPEAKER_00: And I said this when the Browns played the Ravens, and it ended up being 64 points, but still, yeah, I this is different.
- 44:59SPEAKER_00: The Ravens have a very high-powered offense.
- 45:02SPEAKER_00: If there's some turnovers close to the goal line, all right, it could be a high scoring game.
- 45:08SPEAKER_00: Start the Steelers defense.
- 45:09SPEAKER_00: If you can grab the Steelers defense and put them in and play them with confidence, probably play the Browns defense with confidence.
- 45:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah, definitely start the Browns, start the Steelers, but uh do not start their offensive players.
- 45:25SPEAKER_00: What about you?
- 45:26SPEAKER_00: What's your uh cold matchup this week, Manny?
- 45:30SPEAKER_01: Um yeah, cold matchup.
- 45:33SPEAKER_01: I definitely went with the Giants versus Commanders.
- 45:35SPEAKER_01: I know I've done a lot of cold matchups with the Giants, they're just a mess, man.
- 45:40SPEAKER_01: I understand.
- 45:42SPEAKER_01: They're a divisional opponent.
- 45:43SPEAKER_01: I get to see a lot of you know updates for the Giants.
- 45:46SPEAKER_01: And you know, it's they're a very hard team to watch.
- 45:49SPEAKER_01: They don't have any direction, they don't have any identity teams, just game plan for stopping Saquon Barkley.
- 45:55SPEAKER_01: You have Saquon.
- 45:56SPEAKER_01: If you haven't, you know, unfortunately, if you haven't sold high on him, you can't really you could still probably get something back for him, but I would suggest selling high on him.
- 46:03SPEAKER_01: He's he's uh one of the few players that still has you know value just on his name and he has a workload.
- 46:09SPEAKER_01: But um maybe the schedule gets has a couple good games in there for the playoffs or not, but it's just to me, I think that you could do a little bit better as far as that team.
- 46:18SPEAKER_01: It's just very a very tough team to watch.
- 46:21SPEAKER_01: I think obviously commanders could score, um, but also it's divisional, and the Giants have a solid defense, so maybe you know they just end up just canceling each other out, and it's a boring game.
- 46:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's really hard to predict what Washington is gonna do week to week.
- 46:39SPEAKER_00: Sam Howe has been such a great surprise, and I'm glad I have him in a couple leagues.
- 46:47SPEAKER_00: I mean, he's just sitting on my bench in one of them, and I'm like, man, should I start him over Burrow this week?
- 46:53SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 46:54SPEAKER_00: Uh I'm not going to, but like I'm thinking about it.
- 46:58SPEAKER_00: And then um, why not?
- 47:02SPEAKER_00: I mean, I just I think there's more a little well, I don't know.
- 47:07SPEAKER_00: And we'll we'll can I'll continue that that thought later, but uh Sam Howell has been uh a very pleasant surprise, and you know he's he's got a lot of weapons to throw to, but um, yeah, the other side of the ball, who are you gonna play besides Saquon?
- 47:22SPEAKER_00: And and if the teams, if the defenses are just gonna aim at shutting him down, they don't really have to worry about anything else.
- 47:30SPEAKER_00: So this could be a very lopsided game where Washington just runs away with it, but that's still gonna be low scoring, and I'm not sure who you'd start on Washington with confidence because they're so inconsistent.
- 47:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they're just so inconsistent.
- 47:46SPEAKER_00: I'm saying you start Sam Howe and I would start Brian Robinson because they're gonna probably control the flow of the game.
- 47:53SPEAKER_00: Um, but it's tough to start Terry McLaurin or Jahan Dotson um with confidence because you know you've also got Logan Thomas stealing some um some touches.
- 48:06SPEAKER_00: You've got Curtis Samuel, yeah.
- 48:08SPEAKER_01: Like Diami Brown gets a touchdown here and there.
- 48:12SPEAKER_01: There's a bunch of scavengers on that offense.
- 48:14SPEAKER_00: It's kind of it's kind of the same situation Mahomes has in Kansas City, where outside of Travis Kelsey, it's just like a toss-up.
- 48:22SPEAKER_00: Um, I think Rasheed Rice is establishing more of a role over there, but still, it's kind of the same thing with Washington.
- 48:27SPEAKER_00: You just don't know who's gonna get the ball.
- 48:29SPEAKER_00: So who are you gonna play outside from Sam Howe?
- 48:31SPEAKER_00: You're right, probably just um Brian Robinson because they're gonna control the flow of the game.
- 48:36SPEAKER_00: And on the other side, yeah, no, nobody except Saquon, and that's gonna be for the rest of the season.
- 48:43SPEAKER_00: And it's gonna be tough for Saquon to produce high high volume, and you know, all right, he'll probably get the volume.
- 48:51SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be tough for him to get high uh ceiling.
- 48:55SPEAKER_00: He's gonna probably just have a stable floor, yeah.
- 48:59SPEAKER_01: So you could probably sell high on his just his name alone, you know.
- 49:02SPEAKER_00: I would do that sooner than later.
- 49:11SPEAKER_01: You smell that, Joe?
- 49:14SPEAKER_01: This week's Mud Pie.
- 49:16SPEAKER_01: Uh this week's shit call of the week.
- 49:18SPEAKER_01: Who do you got for your uh what'd you mess up last week?
- 49:21SPEAKER_01: What kind of bad advice did you give out?
- 49:23SPEAKER_00: I referenced it a couple times, but I said to stay away from the Browns Ravens game because I expected it to be a low-scoring, defensive battle, a divisional game, and a really hard-fought grind, and it ended with 64 total points.
- 49:40SPEAKER_00: But again, a lot of that was due to the defense on both sides of the ball.
- 49:44SPEAKER_00: You got uh the Browns had two turnovers and one touchdown.
- 49:49SPEAKER_00: The Browns defense had two turnovers and one touchdown, and the Ravens defense had two turnovers and one touchdown.
- 49:57SPEAKER_00: So it was a defensive battle to a degree.
- 50:00SPEAKER_00: Um, but again, it was 64 total points.
- 50:03SPEAKER_00: I expected it to be like 40.
- 50:05SPEAKER_00: And um what's weird though is the only guys I expected to really play well are the same guys I mentioned for my hot matchup this week, who I said have to bounce back.
- 50:16SPEAKER_00: Lamar finished with somewhere like around 13 fantasy points, and Mark Andrews had like six.
- 50:22SPEAKER_00: So it was a great game, but nothing like I expected.
- 50:26SPEAKER_00: You know, Lamar did not play very well, and Mark Andrews didn't play very well.
- 50:31SPEAKER_00: Um this week I expected to be much different from them, but last week I said that game's gonna be a low-scoring defensive battle, and it was a high-scoring game that surprised quite a lot of people, especially on the Browns side of the football.
- 50:48SPEAKER_00: The offense was very surprising.
- 50:50SPEAKER_00: And Deshaun Watson playing through that injury, that's crazy to know that he had an ankle injury and a shoulder injury, and he was grinding through it.
- 50:58SPEAKER_00: And now he's on IR.
- 50:59SPEAKER_00: So he was hurt that whole game.
- 51:01SPEAKER_00: Makes it even more impressive.
- 51:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he yeah, and and it could have been that he aggravated it worse, you know.
- 51:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'm sure he did.
- 51:08SPEAKER_01: He had injury.
- 51:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah, taking some licks because I know he took some hard hits from the Ravens side, you know.
- 51:15SPEAKER_01: They don't, you know, number one pass or excuse me, uh, number one sack team in the league.
- 51:20SPEAKER_01: We were talking about that as well.
- 51:21SPEAKER_01: So they really put the hits on him.
- 51:24SPEAKER_01: Um, but yeah, that's it's crazy that um, you know, they scored that much.
- 51:28SPEAKER_01: I was I was surprised myself.
- 51:31SPEAKER_00: And what's your shit call of the week?
- 51:36SPEAKER_01: You know, obviously we we talk about different things here and there, and you know, it's it's hard for me to come up with bad calls because we we've been pretty pretty accurate, you know.
- 51:46SPEAKER_01: If anybody goes back and watches our videos, you know, we already got, you know, it's been 10 weeks in a season, but we got this what our 12th episode here for for a fantasy.
- 51:58SPEAKER_00: I think it's our 11th episode.
- 52:01SPEAKER_01: Maybe it's our 12th show.
- 52:03SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 52:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think definitely think it's 12th, but we started a couple weeks before kickoff.
- 52:09SPEAKER_01: That's why.
- 52:10SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's right, that's right.
- 52:11SPEAKER_00: So yes, week 11.
- 52:12SPEAKER_00: That eight.
- 52:13SPEAKER_01: We've been pretty good about our predictions.
- 52:15SPEAKER_01: We've been probably 80% accurate, you know.
- 52:17SPEAKER_01: You haven't always been right, you know.
- 52:19SPEAKER_01: I even had some uh, you know, uh so somebody posted on a comment the other day that I missed on our social media on the TikTok saying, hey, would you who would you rather start?
- 52:29SPEAKER_01: Deontay Johnson, or uh it was a player I did a profile on.
- 52:33SPEAKER_01: I think it was um uh Michael Pittman or something.
- 52:36SPEAKER_01: And it was the week that Pittman had the bad, no, it was the week that Deontay Johnson came back, and whatever the player I did the profile on had a bad week.
- 52:44SPEAKER_01: And I was like, Well, I'm glad that you I missed his comment because I would have gave you the advice for the other player and you would have ended up missing your matchup.
- 52:53SPEAKER_01: He's like, Yeah, well, I'm a Steelers fan.
- 52:55SPEAKER_01: I ended up going with Deontay Johnson and he ended up getting the right call.
- 52:59SPEAKER_01: I was like, Well, I'm glad because I gave you the uh I gave you the wrong advice, and I and I was honest about it.
- 53:05SPEAKER_01: I was like, hey, I would have gave you the wrong advice, so I'm glad I missed it.
- 53:07SPEAKER_01: So, you know, it's gonna work normal.
- 53:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but I'm glad the guy didn't listen to my advice.
- 53:14SPEAKER_01: Uh, but this week's uh I guess my cold call would be I called last week, I called the Falcons versus Cardinal game to be the low scoring game of the week.
- 53:22SPEAKER_01: It wasn't.
- 53:23SPEAKER_01: There's a some a couple other games that were worse than that.
- 53:26SPEAKER_01: Um and actually Kyler Murray looked great.
- 53:28SPEAKER_01: I mean, he came back, he looked like he didn't tear his ACL 11 months ago.
- 53:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he did look great.
- 53:34SPEAKER_01: He got out of a few potential sacks, he looked really like Kyler Murray-esque.
- 53:39SPEAKER_01: So um, you know, they look great.
- 53:41SPEAKER_01: Uh, Falcons finally fed B.
- 53:43SPEAKER_01: John Robinson.
- 53:44SPEAKER_01: I guess the owner probably got on the phone and told Arthur Smith, we drafted him eighth overall.
- 53:49SPEAKER_01: If you don't run the ball, I'm fine.
- 53:51SPEAKER_01: Your ass right now.
- 53:52SPEAKER_01: So he ended up getting in the end zone, you know, so he had a good game, you know.
- 53:55SPEAKER_01: And I think he's is he playing this game?
- 53:58SPEAKER_01: Are they on a buy?
- 54:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they're on a bye this week.
- 54:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 54:02SPEAKER_01: They're on a bye.
- 54:03SPEAKER_01: So I mean, but they ended up having a pretty solid game.
- 54:05SPEAKER_01: I obviously 23-25 is not high scoring, but it's it's more than I expected, right?
- 54:10SPEAKER_01: Especially from the Cardinals side.
- 54:12SPEAKER_01: I didn't expect them to be that good with first game back.
- 54:14SPEAKER_01: So that's that's my shit call the week.
- 54:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and I'd say that's uh more of like more of like a skid mark than a sh than a straight up shit call, you know, because it wasn't high scoring, but it's not low scoring.
- 54:30SPEAKER_01: It's a washable skid mark, like I get it off my underwear skid mark.
- 54:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah, go ahead.
- 54:35SPEAKER_00: A quick double wash, clear that right up children over here.
- 54:44SPEAKER_01: It's not for kids, by the way.
- 54:46SPEAKER_01: It's for grown people.
- 54:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we just behave like kids, but the show is not for kids, yeah.
- 54:51SPEAKER_00: Um, but yeah, that's not that bad.
- 54:53SPEAKER_00: Uh and and they did play but you know, Kyler played better than I expected, too.
- 54:58SPEAKER_00: I actually have him in a league.
- 54:59SPEAKER_00: I benched him.
- 55:00SPEAKER_00: I'm I mean, I'm probably not even gonna play him this week, but um, you know, Mark uh Hollywood Brown didn't have a great game at all.
- 55:08SPEAKER_00: His last couple weeks have been a little rough for him.
- 55:10SPEAKER_00: I still like him the rest of the season now that Kyler's back, but Trey McBride, shit, he came to play.
- 55:16SPEAKER_00: He had over a hundred yards.
- 55:18SPEAKER_01: I think they said that was the first time in like a rookie tight end with like uh that many like receiving yards and like any Cardinals tight end.
- 55:30SPEAKER_00: It was like the first time in like uh 25 or 30 years that it took a Cardinals tight end had over a hundred yards, and he had 133.
- 55:38SPEAKER_01: So he's because all they ever drafted is blocking tight ends, they never drafted a good one ever in franchise history.
- 55:45SPEAKER_01: No, they didn't draft Ertz, though, you know.
- 55:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 55:50SPEAKER_01: From the Eagles, yeah, but but yeah, that's true.
- 55:54SPEAKER_01: And and actually, Marquise Brown.
- 55:57SPEAKER_01: I was watching him closely because I started him, he only had three points, but he dropped a 30-yard touchdown, like Kyler Murray overthrew him on a wide open touchdown.
- 56:06SPEAKER_00: See, they'll tighten that up, like he's they're both gonna be in sync the rest of the season, and then you know, James Connor.
- 56:13SPEAKER_00: Um, it's good to see him back.
- 56:14SPEAKER_00: He looked pretty good, and uh, expect them all to be better moving forward.
- 56:20SPEAKER_01: Ooh, Michael Carter uh just got cleaned off of waivers by Arizona, and they don't have a pass catch him back.
- 56:26SPEAKER_01: So I think DeMacardo, I think they like him as an all-purpose back, so he's gonna stay there in the event that James Connor gets injured.
- 56:35SPEAKER_01: He fills that role because he he was the workhorse back for a while.
- 56:39SPEAKER_01: So what they do is they they get uh Michael Carter's a third down back, and then Michael Carter might end up down the line, maybe getting a couple sneaky good games in there, but not anything consistent.
- 56:50SPEAKER_00: It seemed like they were almost trying to do that with Rondell Moore.
- 56:54SPEAKER_00: They were giving him like weird little running back involvement here and there, and it maybe it just didn't work out.
- 57:01SPEAKER_00: But I mean, he's a freak.
- 57:02SPEAKER_00: Rondale Moore, he's got freak speed, he's a great athlete, but for some reason it just small.
- 57:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he's a small, he's a small guy, definitely.
- 57:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 57:23SPEAKER_00: Let him hang, let him drop.
- 57:25SPEAKER_00: It's time for the big balls call of the week.
- 57:29SPEAKER_00: And I alluded to this earlier, but I believe that Rishi Rice is going to have a very productive game.
- 57:40SPEAKER_00: You've got the perfect setting.
- 57:42SPEAKER_00: It's just he's been getting more involved.
- 57:45SPEAKER_00: He's been involved since day one, but he's been getting more involved as the season goes on.
- 57:51SPEAKER_00: He's got a good rapport with Patrick Mahomes, and I just feel like with no one else really interfering with his volume, um, aside from the obvious Travis Kelsey, he's gonna get enough volume in a very high-scoring game.
- 58:04SPEAKER_00: You know, you've got the the Super Bowl matchup where I know he didn't take part in it, but still, you got Monday night football with these two high-powered offenses.
- 58:13SPEAKER_00: I just feel like the setting is perfect for him to get his first hundred-yard game and score a touchdown.
- 58:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah, definitely, definitely.
- 58:23SPEAKER_01: Um, you know, I was saying about that, that made me think because I was like, you know, we gotta have like a like a streak meter for our big balls call every time we call that right.
- 58:31SPEAKER_00: Your balls are fucking like Randy Marsh in South Park right now because you have just been you need a wheelbarrow for your balls.
- 58:40SPEAKER_00: We gotta get you a wheelbarrow.
- 58:42SPEAKER_01: Bro, last week was amazing.
- 58:44SPEAKER_01: I said, hey, uh, I said Jameer Gibbs and and Dave Montgomery each were gonna have 100 yards and a touchdown, and I was I was right.
- 58:52SPEAKER_01: And actually, Jameer had two touchdowns and he had like 117 all-purpose yards.
- 58:57SPEAKER_01: But uh man, obviously, like you people say it's all about luck, right?
- 59:01SPEAKER_01: Because Montgomery had that 50-yard rush, but it's no different than him getting 20 touches on the five-yard line, you know.
- 59:07SPEAKER_01: Like at the end of the day, it's you know, football's a uh uh game of numbers, and you know there's gonna be opportunities, you know, there's a roll, and there's gonna be opportunities in that game.
- 59:17SPEAKER_01: So that's just you gotta hope that it rolls that way sometimes.
- 59:20SPEAKER_00: So dude, just to just to piggyback on what you just said, that's so true.
- 59:24SPEAKER_00: Like a lot of the time when people are like, yeah, but he had that one run for 50 yards.
- 59:29SPEAKER_00: Well, if he didn't have that one run for 50, he might have had six or eight for 50.
- 59:35SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 59:36SPEAKER_00: It's just like if that drive was longer, he probably would have gotten those yards, it just would have taken more attempts.
- 59:43SPEAKER_00: So that's a that's a thing that, yeah, if they're if they're on a drive and it gets cut short by a huge run or a huge pass, then it is what it is.
- 59:52SPEAKER_00: He's still getting those yards.
- 59:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you ride that high hand, baby.
- 59:57SPEAKER_01: That's what you do, especially.
- 1:00:00SPEAKER_00: Which I don't know what to say about the Detroit Lions backfield, but I'm I'm pretty sure those guys are gonna be on a high-powered committee where you can start them both.
- 1:00:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and I I and I talked about it.
- 1:00:13SPEAKER_01: Remember, two weeks ago, I said, hey, Detroit Lions are gonna be the number one rush offense in the league as long as that O-Lions healthy.
- 1:00:20SPEAKER_01: They're gonna run, they're gonna give both those guys 20 touches a game, 20 plus touches a game each.
- 1:00:26SPEAKER_01: And whether that be receptions and carries, it doesn't matter.
- 1:00:29SPEAKER_01: They're they're both gonna get eat.
- 1:00:31SPEAKER_01: And uh they proved me right the first game back, and it's just gonna continue to be that way.
- 1:00:35SPEAKER_01: You know, the games that they're leading, they're just gonna run it down people's throats.
- 1:00:39SPEAKER_01: But uh it's it's it's gonna be a fun, fun team to watch.
- 1:00:43SPEAKER_01: I'm I'm so happy that you know we we were bullish on Detroit before the season started, you know, more than probably more most of those guys, fantasy guys out there, and we were really right.
- 1:00:53SPEAKER_01: So obviously now everyone knows Detroit's a force, and um, you know, you better watch out if you don't have them on your team.
- 1:01:00SPEAKER_01: If you're going up against them, good luck.
- 1:01:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah, good luck.
- 1:01:04SPEAKER_00: And expect Laporta to bounce back too, and expect, you know, Amon Rod to just continue eating every single week.
- 1:01:12SPEAKER_00: And those guys, they're not going to be disrupted by the run game, it's just all working very well together.
- 1:01:20SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, definitely.
- 1:01:22SPEAKER_01: Uh old school football, and and they're running it to perfection.
- 1:01:27SPEAKER_01: Um, but going into my big balls call, um, my big balls call is going to be Mr.
- 1:01:34SPEAKER_01: Josh Allen has his revenge game against the same New York Jets that embarrassed him early on in the season.
- 1:01:42SPEAKER_01: I know everybody remembers that Robert Salah was talking about, oh, we had a gauntlet of quarterbacks we embarrassed.
- 1:01:47SPEAKER_01: You know, he's talking about you know, uh, Buffalo Bills, Chiefs, and the Eagles, how he, you know, they just destroyed him.
- 1:01:54SPEAKER_01: So Buffalo just lost their fifth game of the season, you know, a heartbreaker to the freaking Broncos.
- 1:02:01SPEAKER_01: So Josh Allen had a terrible game, a lot of turnovers, there's a lot of question marks.
- 1:02:06SPEAKER_01: And now we were talking about it like, you know, Trev, you know, you have the potential of pissing off Stephon Diggs.
- 1:02:12SPEAKER_01: You know, this happened earlier on in the season when they had a bad game.
- 1:02:15SPEAKER_01: And what happened the next game?
- 1:02:16SPEAKER_01: I think he threw three touchdowns to Stefan Diggs.
- 1:02:19SPEAKER_01: So uh you're gonna see a big game from him, but don't let that change your mind and and accept that trader.
- 1:02:25SPEAKER_01: I still like the upside of Jameer Gibbs.
- 1:02:28SPEAKER_00: We're talking the rest of the season.
- 1:02:29SPEAKER_00: This is different, yeah.
- 1:02:30SPEAKER_01: Rest of the season.
- 1:02:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you got to keep in mind that you know we were also just talking about AJ Brown being a complete monster, too.
- 1:02:38SPEAKER_00: I'm not like gonna just forget that.
- 1:02:40SPEAKER_01: And Gibbs and Gibbs that 30 a game.
- 1:02:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'll take that consistently.
- 1:02:44SPEAKER_01: Josh Allen and Stephon Diggs, you need that emotional connection.
- 1:02:47SPEAKER_01: AJ Brown is just guaranteed he's gonna eat.
- 1:02:50SPEAKER_01: But um 300 uh all-purpose yards, whether that be rushing, passing, he's gonna come back and he's gonna have three total touchdowns against the New York Jets.
- 1:02:59SPEAKER_01: And and get this, get this one turnover.
- 1:03:02SPEAKER_01: That's a big balls call.
- 1:03:04SPEAKER_01: The guy leading the league in turnovers is only gonna have one turnover.
- 1:03:07SPEAKER_01: So you want some freaking big balls?
- 1:03:10SPEAKER_00: He's still the number one in fantasy, he's still the number one fantasy quarterback.
- 1:03:15SPEAKER_01: He is, he is.
- 1:03:16SPEAKER_01: He's also number one in turnovers.
- 1:03:18SPEAKER_01: So, you know, that's saying for a lot.
- 1:03:22SPEAKER_00: Three, 300, three touchdowns, and one turnover.
- 1:03:25SPEAKER_01: And one turnover.
- 1:03:26SPEAKER_01: I I like going big, man.
- 1:03:28SPEAKER_01: I like uh I like to get I don't like to gamble, but I like to uh make bold predictions and they seem to be pretty pretty awesome.
- 1:03:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:03:36SPEAKER_00: I know you always I notice you always ask that, you know, the group, the group tech's around.
- 1:03:41SPEAKER_00: You're like, what you know, what are your big what are your big predictions this year?
- 1:03:44SPEAKER_00: What are your big calls this week?
- 1:03:45SPEAKER_00: You know, you're just putting your feelers out there seeing what people say.
- 1:03:48SPEAKER_00: I like that.
- 1:03:49SPEAKER_00: Get us talking.
- 1:03:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:03:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:03:52SPEAKER_01: And you know, that some people interact, some don't.
- 1:03:55SPEAKER_01: That's why it's good for the podcast, right?
- 1:03:57SPEAKER_01: Because I think it gets people talking, and it gets people's opinions.
- 1:04:01SPEAKER_01: You know how we ask people's opinion on that trade, right?
- 1:04:03SPEAKER_01: From earlier that you had, you know, you're gonna have people that feel one way, people that feel another.
- 1:04:08SPEAKER_00: That's gonna probably be if you ask that question, if you threw that out there on social media, you're you're gonna get you know almost probably close to a 50-50 split.
- 1:04:18SPEAKER_00: It's hard, it's a really hard thing to call right now.
- 1:04:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but you don't listen to those assholes on the other side, you listen to us, so follow our channel.

- 1:05:40SPEAKER_00: So if there's a specific player you want us to cover, please let us know.
- 1:05:44SPEAKER_00: Unless he sucks, then keep it to yourself.
- 1:05:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, if he's just some guy that's uh you know sitting at the bottom of the waivers every week and and you liked him in college, you keep that shit to yourself.
- 1:05:56SPEAKER_01: I mean, how about you make a player profile send it to us so you can watch it?
- 1:06:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, please.
