- 1:42Speaker 2: aware of whizz So yeah, it's too bad, but what
- 1:45Speaker 2: did you expect?
- 1:46Speaker 4: It's a podcast, Come twenty five Whistles.
- 1:50Speaker 2: Twenty wine, hebody, Welcome to the show, Eddie Bowl thew Whistle.
- 1:54Speaker 1: So the Jets loss last night is a bad, bad
- 1:57Speaker 1: game to watch. But to take our tension off of
- 2:00Speaker 1: how bad the game was and the interception that Aaron
- 2:02Speaker 1: Rodgers threw.
- 2:03Speaker 2: That was totally his fault, not Mike Williams.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Yeah, they did trade for Devonte Adams and so a
- 2:08Speaker 1: trade between the Jets and Raiders for DeVonta Adams expected
- 2:11Speaker 1: to get finalized today. It will be for a conditional
- 2:13Speaker 1: third round pick that can become a second round pick.
- 2:16Speaker 2: That is what the Raiders want.
- 2:18Speaker 1: It was a second round pick, and so the Jets
- 2:21Speaker 1: were like, we'll give it to you, but only if
- 2:23Speaker 1: Adams play so much. Basically, we'll talk to Casey, who's
- 2:26Speaker 1: a Jets fan coming up. I'm sure he's sad about
- 2:28Speaker 1: the loss. That was just a bad game to watch.
- 2:31Speaker 5: Ye, I couldn't tell those two like not very good
- 2:33Speaker 5: teams or just a competitive game.
- 2:35Speaker 1: It's just cold and wet and the refs were throwing
- 2:40Speaker 1: a lot of flags.
- 2:41Speaker 2: It just wasn't It just was not a very entertaining
- 2:45Speaker 2: and interesting game that hell, Mary.
- 2:46Speaker 6: Was cool though.
- 2:47Speaker 2: That was pretty cool.
- 2:48Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Like I saw like a couple of shots too from
- 2:50Speaker 1: like fan fan shots from the phone, which is pretty cool.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Let's lady caught that right, Yeah? Yeah, yeah, that's the
- 2:55Speaker 1: only got catches anything Rogers, But pretty cool. Devanta Adams
- 2:59Speaker 1: is going over to to the Jets. I don't know
- 3:02Speaker 1: for how long because he can just play this year
- 3:03Speaker 1: and then move along. Yeah, but also you know, they
- 3:06Speaker 1: fire a salad, they lose again. It sucks to be
- 3:10Speaker 1: a Jets fan. I felt that, all right, let's get
- 3:12Speaker 1: over and do the tittle tattle. Let's go this time.
- 3:16Speaker 2: His name ever, the tittle Tattle. Let's get.
- 3:23Speaker 5: In honor of the Cowboys getting beat down on Jerry
- 3:25Speaker 5: Jones's birthday. What is the worst birthday gift you've ever received.
- 3:30Speaker 2: I've ember being really sick on my birthday.
- 3:33Speaker 1: I've never been a big gift a guy on birthdays,
- 3:34Speaker 1: but I ever being really sick, and I was like,
- 3:37Speaker 1: let's have the party anyway.
- 3:38Speaker 2: And I couldn't get out of bed.
- 3:39Speaker 1: There was a party happening and it was in the
- 3:41Speaker 1: living room for me, but I was.
- 3:43Speaker 2: So sick, I couldn't get out of bed.
- 3:44Speaker 6: When was that.
- 3:45Speaker 1: That's like I was like twenty four or something. That's
- 3:47Speaker 1: like my worst birthday memory. So it wasn't so much
- 3:50Speaker 1: about a gift, but just a bad birthday. But yeah,
- 3:53Speaker 1: the Cowboys were beat so bad, and Jerry Jones is like,
- 3:56Speaker 1: what eighty two eighty three?
- 3:57Speaker 2: Yeah, old, the Cowboys were beat so bad.
- 4:00Speaker 1: And it was the worst loss at home since he
- 4:03Speaker 1: bought the team, which is also kind of a weird
- 4:06Speaker 1: stat that they've never been beat worse, even when they
- 4:08Speaker 1: were like sucky. I don't feel like they're as bad
- 4:12Speaker 1: as that loss is and was I feel like, you know,
- 4:17Speaker 1: it was not a good game. And then they were pressing.
- 4:19Speaker 1: They were pressing the whole time, trying to catch it.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Dak was pressing, throwing picks. The part to me that
- 4:25Speaker 1: I think would have been most bothersome if I were
- 4:27Speaker 1: Jerry Jones, was all the trick plays they were trying
- 4:28Speaker 1: to run just to.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Like rub it in. Yeah, they were rubbing like they
- 4:31Speaker 2: were trying to get a soul touchdown. They were doing
- 4:34Speaker 2: flea flicker.
- 4:35Speaker 8: And I think at what point Campbell said, like we're
- 4:37Speaker 8: just going to open the whole playbook up and just
- 4:38Speaker 8: try things now, Like that's rude.
- 4:40Speaker 2: I think it was populate.
- 4:42Speaker 1: This is a widely watched game on national television. It'll
- 4:46Speaker 1: be the highest ranked game because that was a noon game, right.
- 4:50Speaker 2: That was a three o'clock Tom Brady game.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Yeah, whatever it was, they let's just show off a
- 4:55Speaker 1: little bit. The Chiefs do that sometimes too when they
- 4:57Speaker 1: get a big game. Yeah, but yeah, that sucks the Cowboys.
- 5:00Speaker 2: I just would not take.
- 5:01Speaker 1: It as personal or as meaningful as a lot of
- 5:04Speaker 1: Cowboys fans are because you're not that much worse than
- 5:07Speaker 1: the Lions. You're a little worse than the Lions, you know,
- 5:09Speaker 1: but you're not forty seven to nine worse than the Lions.
- 5:11Speaker 6: Nobody is.
- 5:12Speaker 8: I mean, we are a bat. There's a lot of injuries,
- 5:14Speaker 8: but I mean that's never an excuse. But we do
- 5:16Speaker 8: have a lot of guys out.
- 5:17Speaker 6: Everybody has a lot of guys out.
- 5:18Speaker 2: I know, I know, yeah, everybody has injuries all the time.
- 5:20Speaker 6: I just keep telling myself.
- 5:21Speaker 2: That they did lose their best defend the guy. Yeah,
- 5:24Speaker 2: ain't touching it. That sucks.
- 5:25Speaker 6: God, that was brutal.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Yeah, that was ugly.
- 5:27Speaker 1: I never saw him say I broke it or it's
- 5:29Speaker 1: broke while watching it, but I did see him pulling
- 5:30Speaker 1: his glove off, so I thought it was something to
- 5:33Speaker 1: do with his hand or his arm.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Ended up being his leg right, Oh yeah, yeah.
- 5:37Speaker 6: He actually did mouth like it's broke.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Yeah, and I saw that.
- 5:40Speaker 1: I saw when they zoomed in and you could hear
- 5:43Speaker 1: him go it's broke. But I didn't see it because
- 5:45Speaker 1: they they were showing it as it happened, and you
- 5:47Speaker 1: see him like saying something live and you see him
- 5:49Speaker 1: and they're like, he's taking his glove off.
- 5:51Speaker 2: He's taking his glove off. He's like, did he lose
- 5:52Speaker 2: a finger? Like what happened?
- 5:54Speaker 1: But yeah, that sucks for them. They're still probably they
- 5:56Speaker 1: still probably have the best roster in the UNFC.
- 5:58Speaker 6: You see how he broke it.
- 6:00Speaker 2: No, I don't like to watch that stuff.
- 6:01Speaker 6: I mean they weren't. They didn't replay it.
- 6:03Speaker 8: But like when you saw it live and you had
- 6:05Speaker 8: to go back and rewind it to actually see.
- 6:06Speaker 2: It, did that you rewound it yourself?
- 6:08Speaker 8: Well, because whenever they say like, we're not going to
- 6:10Speaker 8: show you, I'm like, well now I want to know what.
- 6:13Speaker 8: So yeah, I rewound it. And just the force of
- 6:16Speaker 8: his leg going into another guy's leg is what snapped it.
- 6:19Speaker 8: That's it. It didn't get stepped on. It wasn't it
- 6:21Speaker 8: didn't land, he didn't land wrong on it. His force
- 6:24Speaker 8: moving forward was so fast that when it hit the
- 6:27Speaker 8: other guy's leg it snapped into I.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Want to read you the cowboys schedule coming up. Let
- 6:30Speaker 2: me know what are w's and what are l's, Eddie.
- 6:33Speaker 2: This is just for you.
- 6:34Speaker 6: I don't even know anymore.
- 6:35Speaker 1: Cowboys at forty nine ers coming up lost. It's not
- 6:38Speaker 1: this week.
- 6:39Speaker 2: You have a bye.
- 6:39Speaker 1: This week, we have a by. That sucks to get No,
- 6:42Speaker 1: it sucks blown out and have a bye. That's the
- 6:43Speaker 1: worst thing. Oh no, no, no, then practicing, man, you want
- 6:46Speaker 1: to get back if you get blown out, you want
- 6:48Speaker 1: to get back on the field. You don't want to
- 6:49Speaker 1: have to wait two weeks and just sit in your
- 6:51Speaker 1: forty seven to nine stew That would be the worst.
- 6:54Speaker 2: But yeah, they're off this week. But hey, i've injuries, right, Yes,
- 6:58Speaker 2: that's what's helpful about it. Only team with injuries Cowboys
- 7:01Speaker 2: of forty nine?
- 7:02Speaker 6: Or is that loss?
- 7:03Speaker 1: Okay, Cowboys and Falcons loss, Eagles at Cowboys, loss, Texans
- 7:09Speaker 1: at Cowboys, loss, Cowboys at Commanders.
- 7:14Speaker 6: Man, that would be such a bad loss. Loss.
- 7:17Speaker 1: Giants at Cowboys win Bengals of Cowboys. We got a
- 7:22Speaker 1: w You think you'll meet the Bengal.
- 7:24Speaker 8: Yeah, we're on a roll in now at that point,
- 7:25Speaker 8: after the Giants were sitting high.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Okay, Cowboys at Panthers win three game win streak right
- 7:31Speaker 1: now in a row.
- 7:33Speaker 6: Cowboys at Eagles, I bet we win that second.
- 7:36Speaker 2: One, and cow and Commanders at Cowboys.
- 7:40Speaker 6: I said we win that one.
- 7:42Speaker 2: So you're five and five for the next ten games?
- 7:44Speaker 6: Worth four and four now, right? Or three and three?
- 7:46Speaker 7: Now? What is it?
- 7:47Speaker 1: Well, it'll be an odd number, so whatever it is.
- 7:49Speaker 1: Unless I missed a game they could have countered on.
- 7:53Speaker 2: But so you're gonna do three?
- 7:55Speaker 6: No, we're tired. Now we're five hundred.
- 7:57Speaker 2: You're gonna be nine and eight eight nine? Is that
- 8:00Speaker 2: what you think the team is?
- 8:01Speaker 8: I mean, that's kind of where I see it. This
- 8:03Speaker 8: next Oh my gosh, the next few months is gonna
- 8:05Speaker 8: be hard as a Cowboys fan?
- 8:07Speaker 2: Do you mean the last ten years?
- 8:10Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 8:11Speaker 8: Did you say that wrong? I know, but you gotta
- 8:12Speaker 8: understand bones every year is our year. So when the
- 8:16Speaker 8: season starts, we're like, let's go baby, and then it's
- 8:19Speaker 8: just been bad, bad, and it's going to get worse
- 8:22Speaker 8: for the next few games.
- 8:23Speaker 6: What do you do.
- 8:23Speaker 2: About Micah Parsons?
- 8:25Speaker 1: You got to pay him a ton obviously if you
- 8:26Speaker 1: want to keep him and you love them, but you
- 8:28Speaker 1: just paid Dak and you just paid Ceede Lamb. The
- 8:30Speaker 1: team as it is now is not going to be
- 8:32Speaker 1: a team that wins twelve thirteen games.
- 8:34Speaker 2: Like, what do you do? Are you starting to change
- 8:36Speaker 2: your mind on what to do with him?
- 8:37Speaker 6: Yeah, I say we get rid of him.
- 8:38Speaker 8: I say we get rid of him, trade him for
- 8:40Speaker 8: some good stuff, because I mean, you look at the
- 8:42Speaker 8: defense now, it's not he. The linebackers aren't the problem.
- 8:45Speaker 8: There's a lot of problems with that defense. So I
- 8:47Speaker 8: feel like with him being out, and even when we played,
- 8:50Speaker 8: was it the rate? Who do we play last?
- 8:51Speaker 6: I thing the Raiders.
- 8:53Speaker 8: You can the defense could function without Michael Parsons. I
- 8:57Speaker 8: saw that. We saw that for the first time, which
- 8:59Speaker 8: is kind of cool.
- 9:00Speaker 7: Man.
- 9:00Speaker 8: If we can get rid of him and get some
- 9:02Speaker 8: good stuff for him, I think that's what you do.
- 9:03Speaker 1: What do you mean, get some good stuff like draft
- 9:05Speaker 1: picks that rarely materialize.
- 9:08Speaker 2: In Parsons is awesome. You'd have to do at least
- 9:10Speaker 2: you'd have to get.
- 9:11Speaker 10: You have to get a player, a player and a
- 9:13Speaker 10: pick and a proven player.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Yeah, it's all right. Next question. Alright, I'm sorry dude
- 9:19Speaker 2: for your loss.
- 9:20Speaker 6: Thank you man.
- 9:20Speaker 5: Despite the loss on Saturday, do you think Ohio State
- 9:23Speaker 5: fans should feel good about their team still being contender?
- 9:26Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 9:27Speaker 2: Thanks, will win the national championship.
- 9:28Speaker 1: I mean it's I still think the best two teams
- 9:31Speaker 1: that I've seen are probably Texas and Ohio State. Oregon
- 9:34Speaker 1: played their balls off, yeah and super happy about it.
- 9:38Speaker 1: I was rooting for Oregon. Oregon played as hard as
- 9:40Speaker 1: they could, got a break or two, and won the
- 9:45Speaker 1: game at home. So pretty cool, good job, Oregon. I
- 9:48Speaker 1: still think Ohio State is probably them or Texas is
- 9:52Speaker 1: still probably the most stacked roster.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Man.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Ryan Day's got the pressure on him. Man, they can't
- 9:57Speaker 1: lose anymore like that. The Big Ten, by the way,
- 10:02Speaker 1: they're gonna.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Have like a tie up in first place.
- 10:05Speaker 1: They have three teams that I don't think have a loss,
- 10:07Speaker 1: and like three with one loss. Like it's gonna be
- 10:09Speaker 1: a log jam up there because they all don't play
- 10:11Speaker 1: each other.
- 10:11Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 10:12Speaker 1: So looking at Ohio State schedule the rest of the way, Nebraska,
- 10:17Speaker 1: they should win that.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Ohio State Penn State they play in two weeks. That's fun.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Ohio State should win that. But they are playing in
- 10:24Speaker 1: Penn State. Yeah, but Ohiosa should win. But if they
- 10:27Speaker 1: lose that, I don't know how if they don't get
- 10:30Speaker 1: in the Big Ten championship game, I mean, I guess
- 10:33Speaker 1: you can be the third team from the Big Ten.
- 10:37Speaker 2: And they are Ohio State. So it's gonna be a
- 10:39Speaker 2: bit unfair to the Georgia's, Ohio States Texas of the
- 10:41Speaker 2: world that have a pedigree. But they need to win.
- 10:47Speaker 2: They need to play in the Big.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Ten champion Even if they lose the Big Ten Championship.
- 10:50Speaker 1: I think they're in to the playoff as long as
- 10:52Speaker 1: they get there, I think, And I think there's a
- 10:54Speaker 1: shot too.
- 10:55Speaker 2: If they don't get to the Big Ten Championship, they
- 10:58Speaker 2: can still get to the CFP, but it's going to
- 11:01Speaker 2: take some stuff falling the right way.
- 11:03Speaker 1: But they play Penn State in two weeks. They play Purdue,
- 11:07Speaker 1: that's easy, Northwestern easy. They play Indiana, which they're good.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Yeah they haven't lost yet.
- 11:14Speaker 2: Yeah they've played some bad teams, but yeah, they haven't
- 11:17Speaker 2: lost yet. And their coach is awesome, Signetti, he's awesome.
- 11:20Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 11:20Speaker 2: And then they play Michigan, which Michigan is not that good.
- 11:23Speaker 1: So I mean, it kind of all comes down to
- 11:25Speaker 1: the Penn State game as far as like what I
- 11:27Speaker 1: would project as being like their biggest hurdle until then
- 11:30Speaker 1: until the Big Ten Championship.
- 11:33Speaker 2: But I mean Texas is good. Yeah, Texas good. If
- 11:37Speaker 2: Ohio State has any.
- 11:40Speaker 5: Any question about if they make it that's the most
- 11:42Speaker 5: disappointing year in a long time.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Especially because they pay twenty million bucks for the roster. Yeah,
- 11:46Speaker 1: the most expensive right in ile Vegas and il spend. Ever,
- 11:49Speaker 1: so I would say Texas, Ohio State, we're gonna find
- 11:53Speaker 1: out about Texas.
- 11:54Speaker 2: When they played.
- 11:54Speaker 6: Georgia, Yeah, it's big one, a great game, and.
- 11:59Speaker 2: With the Georgia because.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Georgia lost to Alabama, Georgia will have two losses. Remember
- 12:07Speaker 1: the SEC is not split East and West anymore.
- 12:10Speaker 2: It's gonna get a little weird. And Georgia doesn't look
- 12:13Speaker 2: all that great. Georgia's doesn't look like Georgia.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm sure they're really good, but I mean there's
- 12:19Speaker 1: been so much parody now because a lot of these players. Again,
- 12:23Speaker 1: if you were the depth that was gonna probably be
- 12:25Speaker 1: the next guy up. Sometimes you just bail go to
- 12:28Speaker 1: the program.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Yeah, so if you lose a guy, that's big. Yeah.
- 12:32Speaker 5: Because it was in Mississippi State, I mean it was
- 12:35Speaker 5: close for a while with Georgia, it was close.
- 12:37Speaker 2: The only won by ten points.
- 12:38Speaker 10: Yeah, it was crazy, and I was ten points I know,
- 12:41Speaker 10: because Missippi State supposedly sucks, although they are getting a
- 12:43Speaker 10: little better, but even this weekend with Arkansas on l
- 12:46Speaker 10: s U.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Like, Arkansas has only lost one conference game, which shouldn't
- 12:49Speaker 1: have lost. Texas A and M and we had them, which
- 12:50Speaker 1: annoys the crap out of me. It wasn't like they
- 12:53Speaker 1: beat us.
- 12:54Speaker 2: We screwed. It doesn't matter.
- 12:55Speaker 1: I'm not focus on that. But we beat Tennessee right
- 13:00Speaker 1: and we're playing LSU. I think the rate number eight
- 13:03Speaker 1: LSU is only a three point favorite. Now they're playing
- 13:06Speaker 1: in Arkansas. I think that's another one of these games
- 13:08Speaker 1: that we can win. And if we win this game,
- 13:12Speaker 1: we have one loss in conference. Now inevitably somebody like
- 13:17Speaker 1: Missippi State will come with snip us.
- 13:18Speaker 2: Yeah, but we still have Texas to play. We still
- 13:20Speaker 2: have Missouri.
- 13:21Speaker 1: But yeah, these conferences that have no East and West
- 13:24Speaker 1: and these new teams are added because now it's P
- 13:26Speaker 1: four's it's kind of cool.
- 13:28Speaker 2: One's gonna happen out of each other. Yeah, it's kind
- 13:30Speaker 2: of cool. I like it.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Yeah, Yeah, I'm gonna talk about Texas coming up in
- 13:34Speaker 1: a few minutes.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Okay, next up NFL.
- 13:35Speaker 5: Despite both teams getting a win on Sunday, is it
- 13:38Speaker 5: time to be concerned about the Eagles and Bengals?
- 13:40Speaker 3: No?
- 13:40Speaker 2: Wait man, Bengals won again. Just win. Bengals just need
- 13:43Speaker 2: to get to five hundred.
- 13:44Speaker 1: The whole season starts over if the Bengals get to
- 13:46Speaker 1: five hundred.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Yes, the Bengals defense is not good. Joe Burrow has
- 13:52Speaker 2: to play effectively perfect quarterback. However, he is a really
- 13:57Speaker 2: good quarterback.
- 13:59Speaker 1: And I guess what's great about the season continuing on
- 14:02Speaker 1: is some of the teams get better. Other teams lose
- 14:04Speaker 1: players because of attrition. The Eagles thing was weird because
- 14:09Speaker 1: they won and then you saw their coach Malvin to
- 14:12Speaker 1: their own fans. Yeah, because they were they were like
- 14:14Speaker 1: fire Syrian, He fire Sirianni and he Malvin at them.
- 14:17Speaker 1: He's not going to last pass this year regardless. I
- 14:21Speaker 1: don't think I don't think Sirianni makes it past this year.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Even if they go to the playoffs. It's gonna be
- 14:25Speaker 1: tough for him to make it.
- 14:26Speaker 2: I'm sticking your foot in your mouth, dude. Yeah, It's
- 14:29Speaker 2: just like he just keeps on shoot himself.
- 14:32Speaker 6: He's like an emotion exactly the Eagles fan base.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Yeah, Eagles beat the Browns. Browns are terrible.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Deshaun Watson played really bad, but not awful and that's
- 14:42Speaker 1: a upgrade, man, because he sucks.
- 14:45Speaker 2: He's so bad.
- 14:46Speaker 1: But the Eagles beat the Browns twenty to six. The
- 14:48Speaker 1: Bengals beat the Giants seventeen to seven, and I bet
- 14:50Speaker 1: on that game. I had a seven or eight game parlay,
- 14:53Speaker 1: which was pretty nice. I bet one hundred bucks one
- 14:54Speaker 1: like eleven hundred bucks. So it's feeling pretty good about that.
- 14:56Speaker 1: My last game was the Bengals and the Giants. I
- 15:00Speaker 1: felt really good about it. I felt so good about it.
- 15:02Speaker 1: I don't even watch most of the game. Watch a
- 15:04Speaker 1: little bit at the beginning, and I was like, this
- 15:05Speaker 1: is nothing. And then I checked back in and I
- 15:07Speaker 1: saw they barely won.
- 15:08Speaker 2: I was like, oh my god.
- 15:09Speaker 6: I was close.
- 15:10Speaker 5: And it was even closer than that until Chase Brown
- 15:13Speaker 5: had that touchdown on the fourth court.
- 15:14Speaker 1: That's that's what I told me. When I got I
- 15:15Speaker 1: was like, what happened? Because I was we watched football
- 15:18Speaker 1: all day.
- 15:18Speaker 2: I was sleepy.
- 15:20Speaker 1: It was I didn't want to be stressed out on
- 15:22Speaker 1: my last bet too, because I'd have been doubly stressed.
- 15:25Speaker 2: And then I saw that one. I was like, oh cool,
- 15:27Speaker 2: and I was like, wait, they only won. Yeah, it's tough.
- 15:29Speaker 10: But the Giants are also getting a little better too, which
- 15:32Speaker 10: suck with the Cowboy and they still don't have Milik neighbors.
- 15:34Speaker 10: I know, yeah, it's still concussion this last week, right
- 15:37Speaker 10: this week, we know. I'm not sure yet, all right,
- 15:39Speaker 10: Next question.
- 15:39Speaker 2: Last one?
- 15:40Speaker 5: After putting up fifty one on the Saints, how legit
- 15:42Speaker 5: do you think the Bucks are pretty legit?
- 15:44Speaker 2: I mean, I think if you were to.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Rank the NFC, like if you're to like tear them
- 15:51Speaker 1: at the top, you'd probably have the Lions for sure,
- 15:54Speaker 1: and the Vikings. M Is there anybody else you'd put
- 15:59Speaker 1: in that uppertain I don't have a list of teams.
- 16:03Speaker 7: Yet.
- 16:03Speaker 1: I'm gonna put them in that second like still really good.
- 16:07Speaker 1: But I think the Lions and the Vikings are the
- 16:09Speaker 1: cream of the NFC. I think in that tell me
- 16:13Speaker 1: if I miss anybody, because I don't have any pictures
- 16:15Speaker 1: up of all the teams in that second tier, I'd
- 16:18Speaker 1: probably put the forty nine ers. I'm not gonna put
- 16:23Speaker 1: the I'm gonna put the Commanders in that above average
- 16:26Speaker 1: just because they haven't done enough yet, Like I'm almost
- 16:30Speaker 1: convinced in their game against Baltimore.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Well like yeah, yeah, ja, he played he's really good.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Yeah, but they haven't convinced me yet as an organization
- 16:41Speaker 1: and who cares about me? But I can't believe that
- 16:44Speaker 1: team with that logo on that helmet is gonna win
- 16:46Speaker 1: consistently because they haven't him forever.
- 16:49Speaker 2: Then you got like the Commanders in the third, but
- 16:51Speaker 2: in the second Falcons, Packers.
- 16:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna put the Packers in the second in that
- 16:56Speaker 1: second tier. I mean, the Falcons are right there in
- 17:02Speaker 1: that middle of the second third tier, like they easily
- 17:04Speaker 1: could be up in the bottom of that second tier
- 17:06Speaker 1: or the top of that third tier, that above average tier.
- 17:09Speaker 1: H Kirk Cousins looks better. They get the ball to
- 17:13Speaker 1: when they get the ball to cole Pits, that's cool.
- 17:15Speaker 1: I've had them every fantasy my whole life. I think
- 17:18Speaker 1: you only had two catches, but had them early this
- 17:19Speaker 1: this game, so we had like two catches sixty yards
- 17:21Speaker 1: and I was.
- 17:22Speaker 2: Like, game on. Somebody dropped them of the league.
- 17:25Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 17:26Speaker 6: Drake.
- 17:26Speaker 2: London's solid.
- 17:27Speaker 1: But I want to put the forty nine Ers and
- 17:29Speaker 1: the Packers anybody else in that second tier.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Bucks Falcons. I'm gonna put the Bucks. The Falcons it
- 17:39Speaker 2: in that third tier.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Bucks Falcons, Commanders, and in the totally average tier the
- 17:45Speaker 1: Saints like they could beat anybody, but though I also
- 17:48Speaker 1: could lose to anybody.
- 17:51Speaker 6: That's crazy.
- 17:53Speaker 7: I know.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that I'm gonna put the Bucks the
- 17:59Speaker 1: top of the third tier or the bottom of the second.
- 18:03Speaker 1: But also the Bucks that just generally not been good,
- 18:06Speaker 1: so it's weird to think they're gonna consistently be good.
- 18:08Speaker 1: I know they won the Super Bowl, Brady that year
- 18:10Speaker 1: doesn't count because he went in.
- 18:12Speaker 5: Even last year win in the playoff game. We kind
- 18:14Speaker 5: of forget and they smashed the Eagles. They did, and
- 18:17Speaker 5: then they almost beat Then they went.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Into the playoffs will like either eight nine or nine
- 18:20Speaker 1: and eight right, they didn't they go in like where
- 18:23Speaker 1: they barely got it.
- 18:24Speaker 6: They did barely sneak in.
- 18:25Speaker 1: H Yeah, I think they're good. I think Baker is
- 18:28Speaker 1: awesome to watch. He's so much fun to watch. Yeah,
- 18:30Speaker 1: there are two quarterbacks I like watching that aren't like
- 18:33Speaker 1: the main main guys. I guess I'd put Jade Daniels
- 18:36Speaker 1: in there, but he could also be a main guy
- 18:38Speaker 1: real soon. I like watching Baker play because he just
- 18:41Speaker 1: goes hard, runs, dives, jumps, yells, fights everything and I
- 18:45Speaker 1: like watching bon Nicks because he's out of his mind.
- 18:48Speaker 6: He's out of his mind Ferris Bueller.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Yes, and he just played terrible the first half and
- 18:53Speaker 1: actually played pretty well second half. But that he goes
- 18:55Speaker 1: as hard as he possibly can't all the times. Why
- 18:57Speaker 1: I think it can end up being pretty good. He's too confident,
- 19:00Speaker 1: but that's.
- 19:01Speaker 2: What you need to be.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like he has no firm grasp of reality
- 19:08Speaker 1: and how bad he is at times, so that allows
- 19:10Speaker 1: him to not be so bad in the same game.
- 19:13Speaker 2: But bone Nex goes hard. I respect me too. Bone
- 19:17Speaker 2: X goes hard. H Yeah, I think the Bucks will
- 19:20Speaker 2: probably win that division, right, yeah, them in the Falcons
- 19:23Speaker 2: and Falcons Leader and the Falcons too though, that's right,
- 19:26Speaker 2: I know.
- 19:26Speaker 5: And they barely. I mean the Bucks should have won
- 19:28Speaker 5: that game with two weeks ago.
- 19:29Speaker 2: Now, all right, there you go. That's till South. Thank
- 19:31Speaker 2: you to name the tann Tonnel.
- 19:39Speaker 9: All right, pick a.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Player choose if they'll have more or less of a
- 19:41Speaker 1: stat so you know all of this, and we're gonna
- 19:44Speaker 1: do Bonex here because I have this up. All of
- 19:46Speaker 1: this is fun because you think, you know if a
- 19:48Speaker 1: player will do like over fifty rushing yards or under
- 19:51Speaker 1: one hundred pass yards. But it's a really cool game.
- 19:53Speaker 1: It's the DraftKings Pick six app. If you do this, put.
- 19:57Speaker 2: In the code Bobby Sports. That's one word.
- 19:59Speaker 1: The Thursday night game coming up in a couple of
- 20:01Speaker 1: nights is going to be Broncos at Saints.
- 20:05Speaker 2: It's the Broncos record two and three. I guess they
- 20:07Speaker 2: played six games, now, huh three and three three three.
- 20:10Speaker 2: That's pretty good for rookie quarterback. I know I'm on
- 20:12Speaker 2: the bow next train. I bet him for Rookie of
- 20:13Speaker 2: the Year. He's not gonna win Rookie the ye unless
- 20:14Speaker 2: somebody gets hurt.
- 20:15Speaker 10: But if they're three and three, yeah, they're either all
- 20:19Speaker 10: in or Look. That's how he plays man awful, how
- 20:22Speaker 10: he plays.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Alvin Kamara more or less than one hundred and eight
- 20:25Speaker 1: total yards I mean against the Broncos, I mean probably.
- 20:30Speaker 2: I mean he catches so many balls.
- 20:33Speaker 1: I go more Alvin Kamara Moore bow necks more or
- 20:35Speaker 1: less than twenty four yards rushing.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Dude, I don't know. That guy's all over the place.
- 20:40Speaker 2: I have no idea. I'll go less because that's just
- 20:43Speaker 2: a lot from a quarterback that I don't feel like
- 20:45Speaker 2: is a natural running quarterback. I feel like he's just running.
- 20:47Speaker 2: He's not a runner, He's just running all the time.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Courtland Sutton more or less than forty five receiving yards
- 20:52Speaker 1: go more. Spencer Rattler more or les than one hundred
- 20:55Speaker 1: and eighty two passing yards, which, by the way, got
- 20:58Speaker 1: a cannon, always had a cannon at times.
- 21:01Speaker 2: Didn't look terrible. Did you watch him play all Yeah,
- 21:03Speaker 2: a little bit. He also looked very confident.
- 21:06Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean he throws the ball, Yeah, he spins
- 21:08Speaker 1: it as they say, God dang, he is such an
- 21:11Speaker 1: arm Yeah. Times looked pretty solid.
- 21:14Speaker 2: The two rookie quarterbacks with all the confidence in the world.
- 21:19Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Probably a little overconfident, both of them.
- 21:20Speaker 9: Yeah, exactly.
- 21:21Speaker 2: We liked that download.

- 21:50Speaker 1: All right, so now we're going to talk with Oklahoma
- 21:53Speaker 1: football coaching legend Bob Stoops. Coach Dukes currently coaches the
- 21:57Speaker 1: Arlington Renegades of the UFL. They like he's still at it,
- 22:02Speaker 1: and so we'll talk about that too. He was inducted
- 22:04Speaker 1: into the College Football Hall of Fame in twenty twenty one.
- 22:07Speaker 1: Eighteen years at the University of Oklahoma. Coach Oops never
- 22:10Speaker 1: had a losing season. Ago, you won a national title,
- 22:12Speaker 1: Coach two Heisman quarterbacks. The list goes on and on,
- 22:15Speaker 1: Big Fan, Big Thanks to Coach Stoops. Here he is,
- 22:18Speaker 1: Coach Bob Stoops. Hi, welcome to the show. Coach one
- 22:22Speaker 1: of the greats. I'm super pumped to have them on.
- 22:24Speaker 2: Coach Bob steps Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, I got.
- 22:27Speaker 3: Great Bobby Bones. Hey, I love and I listened to
- 22:30Speaker 3: you all the time.
- 22:31Speaker 2: Holy crap.
- 22:31Speaker 1: This is like a real highlight for me because I've
- 22:34Speaker 1: been a fan for a long time. But get this, coach,
- 22:37Speaker 1: My wife and all of my family are sooners, massive sooners.
- 22:42Speaker 2: And as I've grown up a razorback. I am now
- 22:45Speaker 2: totally baptized in Sooner world and you are like the
- 22:49Speaker 2: epitome mister coach Bob Stoops. So they're gonna love this.
- 22:53Speaker 3: Someone reached out to me not long ago to gift
- 22:56Speaker 3: you up, but to send you a cameo wishing you
- 22:58Speaker 3: a happy birthday.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Yeah that No, I reached out to you about my wife.
- 23:02Speaker 3: I paid you.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, I paid Coach Stoops on cameo to
- 23:06Speaker 2: tell my wife happy birthday. And he was in like
- 23:08Speaker 2: a like a beach. He was like, it's Coach Stoops
- 23:12Speaker 2: from the beach. So I was.
- 23:14Speaker 3: I was down in Saint Augustine. You're exactly right. Well,
- 23:18Speaker 3: thank you for coming back to Oklahoma not a few
- 23:21Speaker 3: games ago to uh do the tribute to Toby Keith. Yeah,
- 23:24Speaker 3: you know, come out between the third and fourth quarter.
- 23:27Speaker 3: I was up in the press box. I looked down.
- 23:29Speaker 3: I said, there's Bobby Bones. They they introduced it, and
- 23:32Speaker 3: that was nice for you to come back.
- 23:34Speaker 2: Well, I appreciate that. And I love Joe Cie.
- 23:36Speaker 1: So anytime Josie, who's the athletic director, asked me to
- 23:39Speaker 1: do anything, and I knew Toby and so it was.
- 23:41Speaker 2: It was a real honor.
- 23:42Speaker 1: I want to start because I've got some questions for you, coach,
- 23:44Speaker 1: So coaching at Oklahoma, like I feel like in my
- 23:48Speaker 1: lifetime you made that school such a brand. Like to me,
- 23:52Speaker 1: you're that That's what I associate with with Oklahoma. I
- 23:55Speaker 1: was born in the eighties, so I switched with coach Twitzer.
- 23:58Speaker 1: Although he's from Arkansas and was on you know, he's
- 24:00Speaker 1: part of my crew and so my wife and I
- 24:02Speaker 1: have like shared I don't want to say too much,
- 24:04Speaker 1: but Switzer is very common in our house because that's
- 24:06Speaker 1: one thing we can agree on because he was both
- 24:09Speaker 1: Arkansas and Oklahoma. So coach Switzer was like one generation above.
- 24:13Speaker 1: But for for me, you are Oklahoma. When you go
- 24:17Speaker 1: into that job, a storied program, what in the world
- 24:22Speaker 1: is your best case scenario? Is it to continue the
- 24:25Speaker 1: legacy or do you think, man, I want to be
- 24:27Speaker 1: the greatest of all time?
- 24:28Speaker 2: Here you want to.
- 24:30Speaker 3: Be the greatest. I mean, you know, but you realize
- 24:34Speaker 3: every time period's different, circumstances are different, leagues are different,
- 24:39Speaker 3: you know. So you do the very best you can
- 24:41Speaker 3: and you want to be as much as anything a champion.
- 24:45Speaker 3: I want to be you know, you want to be
- 24:46Speaker 3: able to win the Big Twelve championship was always our
- 24:49Speaker 3: first goal. You want to win a national championship and
- 24:53Speaker 3: more so, fortunately we were able to do those things.
- 24:56Speaker 3: And you do the very best you can.
- 24:59Speaker 1: When you were playing at Iowa under coach Fry, what
- 25:03Speaker 1: did you take from his leadership style, either advertently or
- 25:07Speaker 1: inadvertently that really made you part of the success that
- 25:12Speaker 1: you are now.
- 25:13Speaker 3: I think, as much as anything with coach Fry, it
- 25:15Speaker 3: was the way he carried hisself with, you know, the
- 25:19Speaker 3: confidence and the confidence he carried hisself with, and the
- 25:24Speaker 3: way he related to his players.
- 25:27Speaker 1: When you get to Oklahoma, what was the first big
- 25:29Speaker 1: game that made you nervous?
- 25:31Speaker 3: Well, I wouldn't. I would say you get nervous. I say,
- 25:35Speaker 3: as much as anything, you're excited, You're anxious and you
- 25:39Speaker 3: can't wait for it. So I would say probably in
- 25:42Speaker 3: ninety nine, the you know, the OU Texas game was.
- 25:46Speaker 3: You know, that's always earlier in the season and it's
- 25:49Speaker 3: always a big game for us. I'd say that we
- 25:53Speaker 3: had Notre Dame ahead of OHU Texas that year at
- 25:57Speaker 3: Notre Dame, so I would I would say that was
- 25:59Speaker 3: a big one as.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Well, when you were coaching obviously nil not existent. Who
- 26:05Speaker 1: do you think would have been the player that you
- 26:07Speaker 1: had that would have made the most NIO money?
- 26:09Speaker 3: Adrian Peterson? Yeah, he would have been one of them,
- 26:15Speaker 3: for sure, that he was a special guy. But fortunately
- 26:19Speaker 3: I had a lot of really good, good players and
- 26:22Speaker 3: you know another one you know here lately it had
- 26:24Speaker 3: been hard to deny what Baker Mayfield might have made.
- 26:29Speaker 2: With Adrian Peterson being a Texas kid.
- 26:31Speaker 1: Were there instances, because Texas is such a fertile recruiting ground,
- 26:34Speaker 1: were there instances where you were taking diehard Longhorn fans
- 26:37Speaker 1: and having to go, Okay, I know you're a long horn.
- 26:39Speaker 1: You grew up a long horn, but let's talk about
- 26:41Speaker 1: being a Sooner. Was that a common recruiting pitch?
- 26:45Speaker 3: You know, as much as anything, No, most you know,
- 26:48Speaker 3: we were winning at a high level. You know, when
- 26:51Speaker 3: we were recruiting Adrian, we'd already won the national championship. So,
- 26:55Speaker 3: you know, as much as anything, it was about look
- 26:58Speaker 3: at what we've been doing here. We're only you know,
- 27:01Speaker 3: if you're in Dallas, we're only two and a half
- 27:02Speaker 3: hours up the road. You can be in Oklahoma as
- 27:05Speaker 3: fast as you can be in Austin, Texas, so why
- 27:08Speaker 3: not go and win the championships and you know those
- 27:11Speaker 3: kind of things, And you sold your program. You know,
- 27:15Speaker 3: it wasn't so much just because you grow up a longhorn,
- 27:18Speaker 3: you got to stay one. It's where's where's your best
- 27:21Speaker 3: opportunity is what we sold.
- 27:23Speaker 2: When you were playing at Iowa, you played an entire
- 27:26Speaker 2: season with an injury.
- 27:27Speaker 3: True, well, I had multiple injuries. Yeah, I had a
- 27:31Speaker 3: fractured thumb and and a fracture in my big toat
- 27:37Speaker 3: that they had to shoot up every every game and
- 27:40Speaker 3: then tape up a soft cast on my on my thumb.
- 27:43Speaker 1: And that was that just normal culture, like tape it up,
- 27:47Speaker 1: shoot it up, let's go back to work.
- 27:49Speaker 3: Well, doctors were careful, they were they could shoot it
- 27:53Speaker 3: up because it obviously couldn't get any worse than it
- 27:56Speaker 3: was going to heal anyway, So it wasn't something that
- 27:59Speaker 3: it was gonna make it worse. So anyway. But back then, yeah,
- 28:03Speaker 3: there was a lot more of that. And and and
- 28:06Speaker 3: again you just you just wrapped up your thumb and
- 28:09Speaker 3: a soft cast you know, where you could still play
- 28:12Speaker 3: and uh yeah, my foot would it'd be awful painful
- 28:15Speaker 3: once that numbing wore off later in the evening after
- 28:18Speaker 3: playing all day on it, so but you just put
- 28:21Speaker 3: up with it.
- 28:22Speaker 1: Those are back in the days where water was like
- 28:24Speaker 1: a gift, like you know, you didn't get water freely,
- 28:27Speaker 1: like if you got water, if you deserved water, and
- 28:31Speaker 1: you know, you taped it up, you wrapped it up.
- 28:33Speaker 2: I act like I know, like I played.
- 28:35Speaker 1: High school football, so we didn't get anything that hurt,
- 28:37Speaker 1: Like I wasn't playing and old.
- 28:40Speaker 3: Adage Bobby, they said just rub a little dirt on it.
- 28:43Speaker 1: Way.
- 28:43Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 28:44Speaker 2: I never went away from me though.
- 28:45Speaker 1: What as a coach, what was the worst? Like training punishment?
- 28:51Speaker 1: I hated bear crawls. Those are the worst to me.
- 28:55Speaker 1: I'm trying to think, like crab walks were bad. There
- 28:57Speaker 1: are a few of those. Gassers were terrible. Like as
- 29:00Speaker 1: a coach, and it was like, all right, guys on
- 29:04Speaker 1: the field, what was the worst that you knew would
- 29:06Speaker 1: just drive them crazy?
- 29:08Speaker 3: When needs to make somebody roll? And I never did it,
- 29:12Speaker 3: but you know I've had people do it where you
- 29:16Speaker 3: you know, you just lay down and you just roll
- 29:18Speaker 3: sideways and you know, across the field, and that that
- 29:23Speaker 3: didn't make you guys feel too too well. But I
- 29:26Speaker 3: never did that one. I was just more about running.
- 29:29Speaker 1: Would you ever do the thing where if you had
- 29:30Speaker 1: a bad game and you flew back home, it was
- 29:32Speaker 1: like go right to the field.
- 29:34Speaker 3: No, No, I uh you know. Never never was much
- 29:39Speaker 3: on punishment or things like that. That's not that was
- 29:42Speaker 3: never my style.
- 29:43Speaker 1: Yeah I need punishment, Yeah, that would be how I
- 29:45Speaker 1: would need to be coached. Coach, like, you did bad,
- 29:47Speaker 1: let's go do let's go punish you. So when you're
- 29:50Speaker 1: coaching the renegades, like these are adults, Like these aren't
- 29:53Speaker 1: college kids, right, so it's a different level. These are
- 29:55Speaker 1: professional ballplayers. What's the difference in coaching you're doing on
- 29:59Speaker 1: the day to day the person a person with a
- 30:03Speaker 1: renegade versus when you were coaching in college.
- 30:05Speaker 3: It's like night and day. Really, Like you said, you're
- 30:08Speaker 3: you're working with grown people, grown men. A lot of
- 30:12Speaker 3: them have families, wives, so it's it's just different. And
- 30:15Speaker 3: you know, the fun part of it is the reason
- 30:18Speaker 3: they're playing is because they love football. They want this
- 30:21Speaker 3: opportunity to show that they could still play good football.
- 30:24Speaker 3: So it's really easy to you. You don't have to
- 30:28Speaker 3: motivate the motivation is already there and it's really enjoyable.
- 30:33Speaker 3: They pick up the game really fast because all of
- 30:36Speaker 3: them have played a lot of football in the past,
- 30:39Speaker 3: so it makes it really easy. And then when you
- 30:41Speaker 3: leave the field, I don't have to call Johnny's parents
- 30:45Speaker 3: because Johnny won't go to class. I don't have to
- 30:47Speaker 3: go to an academic meeting. I don't have to go
- 30:50Speaker 3: to a compliance meeting. I don't have to go to
- 30:52Speaker 3: a recruiting meeting. It's all so it's just football with
- 30:56Speaker 3: a bunch of guys that love it and that are
- 30:58Speaker 3: good at pro football.
- 31:00Speaker 1: When you were at OH, you how often would you
- 31:02Speaker 1: get calls asking about your specific players and could you
- 31:05Speaker 1: ever say something that wasn't positive?
- 31:08Speaker 3: Uh, we got calls a lot about our players, and
- 31:14Speaker 3: if I didn't have anything positive, I wouldn't say anything
- 31:17Speaker 3: at all. But I was always clear with our players though,
- 31:20Speaker 3: because these guys are gonna call every every year, and
- 31:24Speaker 3: certain guys Johnny over here is really working hard, doing
- 31:27Speaker 3: everything right. If you're not, I'm not gonna lie, you know.
- 31:32Speaker 3: So there isn't any line going on in this building.
- 31:35Speaker 3: So uh, but if a question wasn't was there that
- 31:39Speaker 3: I couldn't just be real positive about it. I'd ask
- 31:42Speaker 3: the guys that, well, you have to ask somebody else
- 31:45Speaker 3: or go to the next question. So but anyway, it
- 31:48Speaker 3: was easy to brag about ninety nine percent of the
- 31:52Speaker 3: guys we work with are incredible.
- 31:54Speaker 6: Coach, you still rocking the visor these days?
- 31:57Speaker 3: Oh yeah, when when when I can on the off
- 32:00Speaker 3: course or you know, I don't. I don't have one
- 32:03Speaker 3: made for the renting games. I'm gonna have to work
- 32:05Speaker 3: on that. I had one, I did, but it's one
- 32:08Speaker 3: of those smaller softball ones. I got to get a
- 32:11Speaker 3: I got to get a football advisor made.
- 32:14Speaker 1: How awesome was it when you retired to play golf
- 32:16Speaker 1: all the time? I like, I don't want to retire,
- 32:18Speaker 1: but I feel like I'd like to play golf all
- 32:19Speaker 1: the time.
- 32:21Speaker 3: It was. It was pretty good. I'll never forget my
- 32:24Speaker 3: first Saturday when OU was playing and I'm not on
- 32:26Speaker 3: the field.
- 32:28Speaker 7: I was.
- 32:28Speaker 3: It was an evening game, and I was out on
- 32:31Speaker 3: the golf course about nine in the morning, and I
- 32:34Speaker 3: was the only one there. Everybody else and doing their tailgating,
- 32:39Speaker 3: and and then I saw, you know, a bunch of
- 32:41Speaker 3: people looking at me, like what am I doing here,
- 32:44Speaker 3: and I was like, I don't have to be at
- 32:46Speaker 3: the field. So it was different. It was really different.
- 32:50Speaker 1: How long did it take you to understand, like your
- 32:54Speaker 1: body to understand that was the new normal? Like Saturday came,
- 32:57Speaker 1: but to you, Saturday was a Saturday. It wasn't like
- 32:59Speaker 1: go to work day.
- 33:00Speaker 3: H it was. It took a couple of years. Truthfully,
- 33:03Speaker 3: it was. You know, it was incredibly terrible the first
- 33:07Speaker 3: year out, and then it was just terrible the second
- 33:09Speaker 3: year out. So I'm working. It was working my way
- 33:12Speaker 3: to good. But it took a while. Definitely, it was.
- 33:15Speaker 3: It was hard.
- 33:16Speaker 1: I was watching you coach the ball game a couple
- 33:18Speaker 1: of years ago, and I would think that would be fun.
- 33:21Speaker 1: I want somebody would call me to coach a ball
- 33:22Speaker 1: game at not coach the season at all, and just
- 33:24Speaker 1: be like.
- 33:24Speaker 2: Bobby, come in and coach the ball game.
- 33:27Speaker 1: Like how much do you have to pick up coach
- 33:30Speaker 1: to go and coach the team that you coached forever?
- 33:32Speaker 1: But obviously you weren't the head coach, but you go
- 33:34Speaker 1: back in like how hard is that to just pick up?
- 33:37Speaker 3: Well, it was, it was. It wasn't that hard because
- 33:41Speaker 3: the players were familiar with me. The assistant coaches were
- 33:45Speaker 3: familiar with me. Of course, they're close with me, most
- 33:48Speaker 3: of them, and you know, and and so it wasn't
- 33:52Speaker 3: that that difficult. And the players really embraced me. And
- 33:55Speaker 3: and you know, with the history that I had with
- 33:58Speaker 3: their program right there, Now what's really hard. I couldn't
- 34:02Speaker 3: get in and go in and really get into x's
- 34:05Speaker 3: and o's and changing anything. So the assistant coaches really
- 34:10Speaker 3: took the you know, took the biggest part of it
- 34:12Speaker 3: and the challenge of that, and you know, just continued,
- 34:17Speaker 3: you know, in the direction they were going all year.
- 34:19Speaker 3: So the assistant coaches did an awesome job. But I
- 34:22Speaker 3: was able to at least organize, motivate a little bit,
- 34:26Speaker 3: you know, talk to the team and and you know,
- 34:29Speaker 3: give them, give them the confidence to to to go
- 34:32Speaker 3: into the game and have a chance to win.
- 34:34Speaker 2: Do people try to buy your dinner everywhere you go, coach?
- 34:37Speaker 3: No, not really, but I get I get I get
- 34:43Speaker 3: a nice cold drink sent down my way once in
- 34:45Speaker 3: a while, and that that's that's helpful.
- 34:48Speaker 1: Do you watch much NFL as you prepare for the
- 34:52Speaker 1: UFL season, because obviously the Venn diagram a lot of
- 34:55Speaker 1: similarities obviously they took some cool stuff in the XFL
- 34:58Speaker 1: and put in the NFL this year, which I like, right,
- 35:00Speaker 1: I think you're seeing the NFL take some really cool
- 35:02Speaker 1: things from these other leagues.
- 35:04Speaker 2: Do you watch much NFL at all?
- 35:07Speaker 7: Oh?
- 35:07Speaker 3: I watch it all the time. But I'm a you know,
- 35:09Speaker 3: when you're this is your profession all your life. You're
- 35:12Speaker 3: a football I'm a football junkie. I watch any game
- 35:15Speaker 3: I can find, uh, you know, every every day or
- 35:18Speaker 3: evening I could find it. So I'm I'm always watching.
- 35:22Speaker 6: Coach.
- 35:22Speaker 8: What piece of technology is used now today that you
- 35:26Speaker 8: wish you had when you were at OU.
- 35:28Speaker 3: Well, we didn't have the iPads on the sideline. Uh?
- 35:32Speaker 3: That that my? You know those who just come into
- 35:34Speaker 3: play this year, I believe so to me, that's really
- 35:37Speaker 3: helpful to be able to dissect and analyze from series
- 35:42Speaker 3: to series what somebody's trying to work on, you know,
- 35:44Speaker 3: what someone's trying to do to your offense or defense.
- 35:48Speaker 1: You had seven Heisman Trophy finalists that you had to
- 35:52Speaker 1: you have two winners who didn't win that you felt
- 35:56Speaker 1: had the best show. I don't want to say take
- 35:57Speaker 1: one away from anybody, but also we'll do this should
- 36:00Speaker 1: have also won with whomever won, who do you feel
- 36:02Speaker 1: like could have won?
- 36:04Speaker 2: But they didn't?
- 36:05Speaker 1: They did, they were a finalist, they didn't get the trophy.
- 36:07Speaker 1: Adrian Peterson like freshman, did you he want his freshman year?
- 36:11Speaker 7: Right?
- 36:12Speaker 3: Well he didn't and it was his freshman year. He
- 36:14Speaker 3: ended up. Jason White was third and he split votes
- 36:20Speaker 3: with Adrian Peterson was second, and I believe it was
- 36:24Speaker 3: was it Reggie Bush or Matt Lioner won it that year?
- 36:28Speaker 3: One of the two?
- 36:29Speaker 2: Dang they split votes? Like, how do you even handle that?
- 36:31Speaker 2: Because you know there's voting things that happened in this
- 36:33Speaker 2: industry where it's like if two artists are on the
- 36:36Speaker 2: same label, they've got to somehow direct people not to
- 36:39Speaker 2: split the vote. Nobody gets it, Like, what in the
- 36:41Speaker 2: world do you guys do when there's you have two finals?
- 36:44Speaker 3: Just hard? You know, Jason White had won it the
- 36:46Speaker 3: year before and then and then he came in third
- 36:50Speaker 3: the next year and Adrian was second.
- 36:53Speaker 1: That's when you go to Jason, like Jason, he already
- 36:55Speaker 1: won one. Like Jason, you tell everybody to vote Frady,
- 36:59Speaker 1: that would be.
- 36:59Speaker 2: The move, coach. Look it looks like you still love it.
- 37:02Speaker 1: I mean, you're you're head coach in the UFL. I mean,
- 37:04Speaker 1: do you have any itch at all to come back
- 37:06Speaker 1: to the college game.
- 37:08Speaker 3: No, I've not, really, I'm I'm don't worry. I'm still
- 37:13Speaker 3: asked from everybody has to check the box and usually
- 37:17Speaker 3: will inquire about any interest. But I'm just really really
- 37:22Speaker 3: happy now with what I'm doing in the UFL. You
- 37:26Speaker 3: know where my life's sat, with my family and and
- 37:30Speaker 3: be able to travel a little bit more golf, more
- 37:33Speaker 3: those kind of things. And uh, I'm I'm I'm at
- 37:36Speaker 3: ease with it now.
- 37:38Speaker 1: When's the last call you got? And don't say where who,
- 37:41Speaker 1: but when's the last call you got? They were like, hey, coach,
- 37:43Speaker 1: would you be interested in coaching college again?
- 37:45Speaker 2: How long ago?
- 37:46Speaker 3: I've been asked each year? So oh, come on, well I.
- 37:51Speaker 2: Have no I believe you. I'm like, come on, let's go.
- 37:54Speaker 1: But see, but you're such an Oklahoma guy, like you
- 37:57Speaker 1: couldn't coach anywhere else, right.
- 37:59Speaker 3: I don't I think I'd be accepted anywhere else, So
- 38:02Speaker 3: that helps me anyway.
- 38:04Speaker 2: Do you hate Texas?
- 38:06Speaker 3: No?
- 38:06Speaker 2: No, I do. I hate them. I hate their guts.
- 38:09Speaker 3: You can't hate anybody, Bobby, No, I.
- 38:11Speaker 2: Do I do. I hate Texas. I hate it with
- 38:13Speaker 2: all my heart and all myself.
- 38:14Speaker 3: Have a strong dislike for them.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I hate them. I'm just jealous of them. I
- 38:19Speaker 1: guess you had their number. I'm jealous of them. Being
- 38:22Speaker 1: from Arkansas, they were bigger than us, they were richer
- 38:24Speaker 1: than us. We played in the Southwest Conference together. We
- 38:27Speaker 1: were bred to hate Texas. But hate comes from respect,
- 38:31Speaker 1: because we wouldn't hate them if they didn't, you know,
- 38:33Speaker 1: kick us around a little bit. But yeah, I hate Texas,
- 38:36Speaker 1: but you would say you disliked them on a scale
- 38:38Speaker 1: of one to ten. If ten means total hate, what
- 38:40Speaker 1: seven eight?
- 38:40Speaker 3: Coach, I'd say a good nine and a half.
- 38:46Speaker 2: Okay, that's exactable.
- 38:48Speaker 6: We like that.
- 38:50Speaker 1: Okay, So everybody that's listening, the Renegades tickets are on
- 38:54Speaker 1: sales starting today, and you can go over to the
- 38:57Speaker 1: UFL site and if kids come to the games, coach,
- 39:00Speaker 1: they can get pretty decent shot. They can get some
- 39:02Speaker 1: autographs and stuff like from the players.
- 39:03Speaker 3: Oh yeah, pictures with players and autographs and there's a
- 39:07Speaker 3: lot of fan interaction more so than any other you know,
- 39:10Speaker 3: any other league you're gonna find and uh, you know,
- 39:14Speaker 3: really catered to families and the children.
- 39:18Speaker 2: Are you happy to see Oklahoma and the SEC?
- 39:21Speaker 3: I am. I just I just feel h you know,
- 39:24Speaker 3: the excitement of all these great gains. It's going to
- 39:27Speaker 3: be more challenging, yes, but but financially it's it's it
- 39:31Speaker 3: makes all the sense in the world, and I believe
- 39:35Speaker 3: overall it's it'll help us recruit. I just believe it's
- 39:38Speaker 3: gonna it's also going to help, you know, fill in
- 39:41Speaker 3: an eighty five thousand seat stadium and sky suits. You know, people, people,
- 39:46Speaker 3: the fans are excited about it.
- 39:48Speaker 2: Final two questions. This was kind of a two parter,
- 39:51Speaker 2: But give me non national championship. What is your greatest
- 39:55Speaker 2: bowl victory that you're most proud of?
- 39:58Speaker 7: Oh?
- 39:59Speaker 3: Boy, not not a probably you know, national championship, not
- 40:05Speaker 3: that one. Huh So it's probably the Sugar Bowl against Alabama.
- 40:10Speaker 2: What was the hardest one to lose?
- 40:14Speaker 3: Oh, the National National Championship, probably against LSU where we
- 40:21Speaker 3: were in a tight game twenty one to fourteen and
- 40:24Speaker 3: lost and had a chance late in the game with
- 40:26Speaker 3: some place to tie it up and couldn't convert.
- 40:30Speaker 2: Did they ever approach you about moving conferences while you
- 40:33Speaker 2: were the head coach?
- 40:35Speaker 3: Ah, yes, it had come about. You know, I don't
- 40:40Speaker 3: know this maybe with years it now, maybe ten years
- 40:43Speaker 3: ago or so. There was talk of us possibly moving
- 40:49Speaker 3: and the PAC twelve was involved as well as the Big.
- 40:52Speaker 2: Ten, and your thoughts on that were yeah or nay.
- 40:57Speaker 3: Just didn't feel at the time it was right. I don't.
- 40:59Speaker 3: I didn't feel like we were The PAC twelve wasn't appealing.
- 41:04Speaker 3: I still think it's hard watch, you know, their time
- 41:07Speaker 3: zones were difficult to watch. And then I didn't feel
- 41:11Speaker 3: we were a Big ten school. I felt we were
- 41:13Speaker 3: more like an SEC school, if that makes sense.
- 41:17Speaker 1: Final question, A lot of teams are grabbing their ankles
- 41:20Speaker 1: or hamstrings to slow down these offenses. If you were
- 41:24Speaker 1: the fictional SEC commissioner that fix his rules with your fist,
- 41:30Speaker 1: how would you start some of these guys from doing this?
- 41:32Speaker 1: Are these coaches from faking injuries to slow down offenses?
- 41:36Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 41:36Speaker 3: It really?
- 41:37Speaker 2: You know.
- 41:38Speaker 3: The sad part is is when there is a true
- 41:42Speaker 3: injury and these guys are going so fast it is dangerous.
- 41:48Speaker 3: The guy isn't capable of playing another snot, but he's
- 41:51Speaker 3: capable of getting off the field. You know, does that
- 41:54Speaker 3: make sense? But some of these guys aren't hurt at
- 41:57Speaker 3: all and just fall down. You know that. It's just
- 42:01Speaker 3: it's a bad look. It's not great for the game.
- 42:04Speaker 3: I don't I don't know what can be done about it,
- 42:07Speaker 3: because there are legitimate injuries that a player needs to
- 42:11Speaker 3: edge at the game.
- 42:12Speaker 1: What if they just kept them out a whole series,
- 42:14Speaker 1: Like I said, a one play. What if you're out,
- 42:16Speaker 1: you're out the whole series.
- 42:17Speaker 3: I I that's a great idea, Bobby, Yeah, definitely. And yeah,
- 42:22Speaker 3: you can't come back in until the here's a punt
- 42:24Speaker 3: or a touchdown or whatever. I like that idea.
- 42:28Speaker 2: I just fixed it, guys.
- 42:29Speaker 6: That's it.
- 42:29Speaker 2: It's done. He just gave me the job.
- 42:31Speaker 3: You're the commissioner.
- 42:32Speaker 1: That's it, the fake commissioner of rules with an iron fist.
- 42:35Speaker 1: As you can see here, I've got your hat on here.
- 42:38Speaker 1: This is the this is the Renegade, the Renegad's head.
- 42:40Speaker 3: I love it.
- 42:40Speaker 2: I got the Renegades hat on.
- 42:42Speaker 1: And so help me out here because the UFL, I'm
- 42:45Speaker 1: trying to because I know you were coaching two years ago.
- 42:47Speaker 2: You won the championship with the XFL. I'm correct on this.
- 42:50Speaker 3: Right, correct?
- 42:51Speaker 1: Okay, So the XFL and the USFL have merged to
- 42:55Speaker 1: be the UFL, and you're still coaching the same team.
- 42:58Speaker 3: Correct, Correct, the Arlington Renegades.
- 43:02Speaker 2: Now, when you coach that team, do you move down
- 43:04Speaker 2: there for a little bit?
- 43:05Speaker 3: I do. I rent a house and moved down for
- 43:09Speaker 3: about four months, and my wife or kids will kind
- 43:13Speaker 3: of go back and forth. It's only about a two
- 43:15Speaker 3: and a half hour drive Arlington from Norman, Oklahoma, so
- 43:19Speaker 3: they kind of come and go and I go down
- 43:22Speaker 3: for a few months. And it's been really fun, great
- 43:25Speaker 3: league and been really enjoying it.
- 43:28Speaker 1: Is this to scratch a coaching itch? Did you feel
- 43:31Speaker 1: like you just needed to somehow get back involved?
- 43:35Speaker 3: You know, Bobby, when I left, truthfully, I just wanted
- 43:38Speaker 3: my own time in space, right, And you know the
- 43:41Speaker 3: old adage be careful what you wish for. Well, I
- 43:44Speaker 3: had a little bit too much of my own time
- 43:46Speaker 3: in space, and so this kind of filled that void
- 43:49Speaker 3: a little bit for a few months out of the year.
- 43:52Speaker 3: My wife was glad to see me get out of
- 43:54Speaker 3: the house for a few months. And it does scratch
- 43:57Speaker 3: the coaching itch. I really enjoy the play and being
- 44:00Speaker 3: on the field with these older guys.
- 44:03Speaker 1: So what's a game environment like with the Renegades, if
- 44:06Speaker 1: we were to go to a game, which, by the way,
- 44:07Speaker 1: people get tickets at UFL dot com slash tickets. Uh
- 44:10Speaker 1: they are on sale starting today, which is great. What's
- 44:13Speaker 1: a game environment like if we're gonna come watch the Renegades, It's.
- 44:17Speaker 3: A lot of fun, a lot of excitement. The players do,
- 44:19Speaker 3: a lot of engagement with the fans, a lot of
- 44:23Speaker 3: pre game, postgame intervention with the fans and the players, coaches.
- 44:29Speaker 3: You know, great, great environment with all the concessions, a
- 44:33Speaker 3: lot of music being played. You know, it's it's a
- 44:36Speaker 3: it's a fun environment. It's and it's and it's good
- 44:38Speaker 3: football like you're used to watching, you know, Saturdays and Sundays.
- 44:42Speaker 1: Does it still feel wildly competitive and you want to
- 44:46Speaker 1: win every game with every ounce of your body?
- 44:48Speaker 7: Oh?
- 44:48Speaker 3: Absolutely, you sure do. You don't do anything without trying
- 44:53Speaker 3: to win and do well at it. But uh, but
- 44:55Speaker 3: I can't say that it's the high pressure, you know,
- 44:58Speaker 3: like coaching at Oklahoma it used to be uh.
- 45:02Speaker 1: UFL Arlington Renegades they are back. Get tickets at UFL
- 45:06Speaker 1: dot com slash tickets, and coach, when is your first game?
- 45:11Speaker 3: You know, I haven't looked. I want to say, last
- 45:15Speaker 3: year we started the first weekend in March.
- 45:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I thought so too, like spring, Yeah, the same,
- 45:23Speaker 2: I believe.
- 45:24Speaker 1: Yeah it is March, okay, and I encourage everybody to
- 45:27Speaker 1: go and watch because UFL is gonna be cool. It's
- 45:29Speaker 1: like the best of both worlds. And Coach Dues, it
- 45:32Speaker 1: has been a real honored to talk with you. I
- 45:34Speaker 1: really appreciate you spending some time with us. And you know,
- 45:37Speaker 1: I'll say it. I'm only going to say this to you.
- 45:39Speaker 1: I've never said this in my entire life. My family
- 45:41Speaker 1: tries to get me to say it all the time,
- 45:42Speaker 1: but because it's such a special treat for me to
- 45:45Speaker 1: spend some time with you, I'm gonna say boomer.
- 45:47Speaker 2: All right, sooner, there you go. I've never never That's it.
- 45:51Speaker 2: I'm done, all right, Coach, thank you, have a great day.
- 45:53Speaker 7: All right.
- 45:54Speaker 3: Great to be with you.
- 45:55Speaker 6: Guys, by coach.
- 45:56Speaker 2: All right.
- 45:56Speaker 1: One football topic, one non football topic. Let's go football first, Eddie.
- 46:02Speaker 6: Yeah, did you see Jim Harbaugh go into the tent
- 46:04Speaker 6: before the game, Yeah, for his hard stuff?
- 46:06Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 46:06Speaker 6: How crazy is that?
- 46:07Speaker 8: And then he came out he said he went to
- 46:09Speaker 8: the doctor on Monday, and it turned out that, yeah,
- 46:11Speaker 8: he had like a regular heartbeat, and this is the
- 46:13Speaker 8: third time in his life that he's had that. He says,
- 46:16Speaker 8: I'm gonna keep coaching, Like that's not gonna stop me.
- 46:19Speaker 1: What was funny to me was he went into the
- 46:20Speaker 1: blue tent. Yeah, it's like an ankle injury. Yeah, yeah,
- 46:25Speaker 1: when it looks serious. When they pulled his brother from
- 46:27Speaker 1: the press conference, do you see that da? And somebody
- 46:31Speaker 1: gets it, says, and he gets something leaves oh really
- 46:33Speaker 1: and so but that was about that.
- 46:36Speaker 2: But yeah, he's gonna keep coaching.
- 46:38Speaker 6: It's just crazy.
- 46:38Speaker 8: He goes to the blue tent and like, yeah, man,
- 46:39Speaker 8: your heart's not beating the right way. He's like, all right,
- 46:41Speaker 8: I got a game in five minutes. Let me out
- 46:43Speaker 8: of here.
- 46:44Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's his third time, third time in his life,
- 46:46Speaker 2: third time.
- 46:47Speaker 5: Football topic, Kevin, Mine is something that's been bothering me
- 46:50Speaker 5: last couple of weeks. We need to make a broadcasting
- 46:52Speaker 5: rule and interview these quarterbacks after they make a dumb
- 46:55Speaker 5: play to end the game, bad throw run out of bounds.
- 46:58Speaker 5: We saw Tennessee quarterback do that, Weset did it the
- 47:00Speaker 5: other day and then also South Carolina quarterback did it
- 47:03Speaker 5: when they were coming back against Alabama.
- 47:05Speaker 2: Well, also the Ohio steak in Ohio State slide, Like,
- 47:08Speaker 2: what is going on in your head? You don't even
- 47:10Speaker 2: give your team a chance?
- 47:12Speaker 1: Well, what's going on in their head is not I'm
- 47:15Speaker 1: not going to give my team a chance. I mean,
- 47:16Speaker 1: I don't think they're going watch this. I'm gonna screw
- 47:19Speaker 1: a team over. I think there's just a lot of
- 47:21Speaker 1: stuff happening, and they make a wrong decision. I think
- 47:24Speaker 1: we make wrong decisions in traffic sometimes, I think, but.
- 47:27Speaker 2: I feel you. The slide though, is interesting because it
- 47:29Speaker 2: wasn't a first down like and all of these we
- 47:32Speaker 2: should have known it two weeks ago Tennessee, like that
- 47:36Speaker 2: was the worst. He ran a bounce right.
- 47:38Speaker 1: Obviously, their internal clock is different. Maybe they heard a
- 47:43Speaker 1: coach say something wrong they think the clock is.
- 47:45Speaker 2: I don't know. I also think it's kind of weird
- 47:47Speaker 2: to make them be interviewed right after their bad play.
- 47:50Speaker 2: Oh fuck yeah, unless it's your team, it's not good. No.
- 47:54Speaker 5: But even if it's your team, like Jacobe Bursett did
- 47:56Speaker 5: a couple weeks ago, I was like, I need to
- 47:58Speaker 5: know what he's thinking when he makes that pass at
- 48:00Speaker 5: the ten yard line when the clock's running out.
- 48:02Speaker 1: What like a coach gave him wrong information. He'sn't gonna
- 48:05Speaker 1: throw anybody under the butt. But college kids, I still
- 48:08Speaker 1: feel like we can protect them a little bit, especially
- 48:10Speaker 1: if you're a freshman you make a bonehead decision like
- 48:12Speaker 1: the Tennessee kid a couple of weeks ago. But yeah,
- 48:15Speaker 1: uh NFL players, they have to go answer anyway. They
- 48:18Speaker 1: have to all do their press time. But yeah, you
- 48:19Speaker 1: don't about percent. He's not playing anymore, dude, I know
- 48:23Speaker 1: they done.
- 48:23Speaker 2: I know Drake Mays the future. Yeah, at times look
- 48:26Speaker 2: pretty good.
- 48:26Speaker 6: Yeah he did two touchdown past.
- 48:28Speaker 10: Three three and had a little more time to throw.
- 48:32Speaker 10: Not a great job by the line, But I will
- 48:34Speaker 10: say that when the quarterback is a threat to throw,
- 48:39Speaker 10: the defense is an't gonna be able to stack the
- 48:41Speaker 10: box like they were doing against Jacoby Brissett, which then
- 48:45Speaker 10: if they're blitzing, they're obviously closer to the quarterback, which
- 48:47Speaker 10: is even less time to throw.
- 48:48Speaker 2: Like they had to respect Drake May a bit. He
- 48:51Speaker 2: could run.
- 48:51Speaker 5: He got out a little bit, and then they didn't
- 48:53Speaker 5: even have Stevenson in their running back.
- 48:55Speaker 2: He was out was that exciting for you. Yeah, as
- 49:00Speaker 2: a Patriots man, Yeah, I still feel bad for him
- 49:01Speaker 2: because he was still getting rocked. Yes he was. He
- 49:03Speaker 2: was rocked. At the same time, he looked calm composed,
- 49:07Speaker 2: and I liked it. I think it's kind of weird.
- 49:11Speaker 1: Do you want to hear people at their darkest moment
- 49:13Speaker 1: be immediately interviewed and that's very strange.
- 49:15Speaker 2: Yeah, that's because as a fan, I'm also at the
- 49:17Speaker 2: darkest moment.
- 49:18Speaker 1: Because he just lost the game, it makes sense my
- 49:21Speaker 1: football topic is going to be Texas. I was just
- 49:23Speaker 1: looking at their schedule because again, they they're murdering folks.
- 49:28Speaker 1: They've got two quarterbacks as good as anybody else's one quarterback,
- 49:30Speaker 1: like the rich get richer them in Ohio State have
- 49:34Speaker 1: probably the two best rosters in college football. They're playing
- 49:37Speaker 1: Georgia this week. If Georgia loses, that's an elimination. They're
- 49:42Speaker 1: not going to go play for the SC Championship. Georgia
- 49:44Speaker 1: may not even make the College Football Playoff, which would
- 49:46Speaker 1: be weird. So Texas and Georgia play that isn't in Austin,
- 49:53Speaker 1: So that'd be a real test of Texas though, because
- 49:56Speaker 1: when you look at Texas so far. Oklahoma not that good.
- 50:00Speaker 1: We saw comeb get beat by Tennessee. We saw arkansasll
- 50:01Speaker 1: beat Tennessee. So we just do the little mat there
- 50:03Speaker 1: that doesn't always add up. Oklaoma doesn't have offense, they're
- 50:07Speaker 1: not off a quarterback. Yeah, Texas Missippi State, they suck.
- 50:11Speaker 1: Texas beat Louisiana Monroe.
- 50:12Speaker 2: They suck. Texas beat UTSA. They should.
- 50:15Speaker 1: Texas beat Michigan thirty one to twelve. Like that's the
- 50:19Speaker 1: only game in Michigan. Isn't definitely what Michigan was last year.
- 50:22Speaker 1: That's the only game that really Texas has been able
- 50:24Speaker 1: to go, We're really good. Watch this because it was
- 50:28Speaker 1: in ann Arbor and it was Michigan the ranked twenty four.
- 50:31Speaker 1: Now they were ranked even higher at the time. But
- 50:34Speaker 1: Texas really hasn't played anybody really good. So this will
- 50:39Speaker 1: be interesting because Georgia, even a Georgia program that is
- 50:43Speaker 1: not what Georgia usually is, is still better than most teams. Yeah,
- 50:47Speaker 1: so that's gonna be a fun one. That's just that's
- 50:51Speaker 1: the game of the week.
- 50:51Speaker 2: Huh.
- 50:52Speaker 10: One and five, Yeah, I guess it has to be. Yeah,
- 50:54Speaker 10: because two and three aren't playing They when the lost
- 50:56Speaker 10: time they played Georgia and Texas. Yeah, I don't know,
- 51:01Speaker 10: so Texas plays Vanderbilt after that. Texas should win that.
- 51:04Speaker 10: Even though Vanderbilt's been awesome. They won again to Vanderbilts
- 51:07Speaker 10: America's team until they win too much. Then we're like
- 51:09Speaker 10: those rich kids. Florida, Texas, Florida. Should it be Tennessee.
- 51:13Speaker 10: Grand Mertz went down, got hurt, gone the rest of
- 51:16Speaker 10: the year, Florida. The fact that Florida didn't go for
- 51:18Speaker 10: two to win that game drove me crazy. I could
- 51:23Speaker 10: not believe they were not going for two. You're away,
- 51:25Speaker 10: you go for two in that situation, you're away. You
- 51:27Speaker 10: also lost your quarterback, so it's not like you're expecting.
- 51:30Speaker 10: Even though DJ whatever his name is, he's a five star,
- 51:35Speaker 10: five star Kidney played a little bit this year. Lag
- 51:36Speaker 10: him what his name was, Oh the freshman, somebody google it.
- 51:39Speaker 10: Oh for Florida, Yeah, for Florida.
- 51:43Speaker 2: Yeah, you go for two there.
- 51:45Speaker 1: That's just the general rule of being away at the
- 51:49Speaker 1: end of a game. If you're the home team, you
- 51:51Speaker 1: stretch it out and you go because you have the
- 51:53Speaker 1: advantage you're the away team, you go fifty to fifty.
- 51:56Speaker 2: Especially as an underdog. What's his name? He did, Lagway, Lagway.
- 51:59Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 52:00Speaker 1: Texas at Arkansas, that's no. Number sixteenth. We're for sure
- 52:03Speaker 1: gonna beat that. But most people won't think that. But
- 52:06Speaker 1: we're for sure gonna beat that. But then they play
- 52:08Speaker 1: Kentucky and then they play Texas A and M. Like
- 52:11Speaker 1: Texas has like two and a half games that they've
- 52:13Speaker 1: got to win. This Georgia game is big. The A
- 52:16Speaker 1: and M game will be fun, probably because it is
- 52:18Speaker 1: in College Station.
- 52:19Speaker 2: That'll be cool. The rivalry is back, and I think.
- 52:23Speaker 10: We hate them so much we'll develop some little superpower
- 52:26Speaker 10: to play them.
- 52:27Speaker 2: We beat them last time they were in Arkansas. But yeah,
- 52:29Speaker 2: it's Texas. Like it sucks. They came into the SEC
- 52:32Speaker 2: and they're probably gonna win the conference. They're really good.
- 52:34Speaker 2: That sucks. I know. Good thing Oklahoma's not really good,
- 52:37Speaker 2: because then it'd be.
- 52:37Speaker 6: Like, well, maybe those two guys coming in.
- 52:39Speaker 2: Anybody coming in, just two teams coming from another conference,
- 52:43Speaker 2: from a weaker conference, and all of a sudden they're
- 52:44Speaker 2: both dominating. You're like, well maybe it wasn't that hard,
- 52:47Speaker 2: Like anybody can go over. So I'm glad.
- 52:49Speaker 1: Oklahoma kind of sucks because Texas was stacked anyway wherever
- 52:54Speaker 1: they played.
- 52:56Speaker 2: I hate Texas non football topic Kevin.
- 52:59Speaker 5: Over the weekend, I ran into a former NFL player
- 53:03Speaker 5: at a gas station, like a little tiny gas station
- 53:05Speaker 5: in Alabama, and I just want to see if you
- 53:07Speaker 5: guys can get them real quick.
- 53:08Speaker 2: Is he from Alianta?
- 53:10Speaker 7: No?
- 53:10Speaker 2: Okay, go ahead, are you walking?
- 53:13Speaker 6: You've got to give his hints.
- 53:14Speaker 2: He's from straight up?
- 53:15Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 53:16Speaker 2: Like I asked questions, Sorry, I asked questions. Are we
- 53:19Speaker 2: gonna know who he is?
- 53:20Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 53:20Speaker 2: Oh yeah, like I would say a minus. Is he
- 53:23Speaker 2: a skill player? No he's not? Yes?
- 53:26Speaker 7: Yes?
- 53:26Speaker 2: Sorry, yes, yes?
- 53:27Speaker 7: Yes?
- 53:27Speaker 6: Did you say football player?
- 53:29Speaker 9: Yes?
- 53:29Speaker 2: NFL?
- 53:30Speaker 6: Okay?
- 53:31Speaker 2: Did he play college ball in Alabama? No? In the South?
- 53:38Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 53:38Speaker 2: I guess he considered that south.
- 53:40Speaker 6: I don't know, man, is he still playing?
- 53:42Speaker 2: No, just retired a few years ago.
- 53:45Speaker 6: A few years ago, I don't know, don't care.
- 53:49Speaker 2: Who is it? Never mind Philip Rivers? Oh yeah, I
- 53:53Speaker 2: think he just leave that.
- 53:54Speaker 1: Philip Rivers is a gas station. Like dang, now we're
- 53:56Speaker 1: like tired from playing in Alabama?
- 53:59Speaker 2: Kids with him?
- 54:00Speaker 5: Oh he's by himself and he's on the phone, Well
- 54:02Speaker 5: what's up? And I and I looked at him I
- 54:04Speaker 5: was looking at I think I was getting beer, and
- 54:06Speaker 5: I looked over the left. I just saw this big
- 54:08Speaker 5: guy and I just looked big. He's big, yeah, And
- 54:10Speaker 5: I pointed on him. I was like, dude, and he
- 54:12Speaker 5: looked at me. He's on the phone on speakerphone. He
- 54:14Speaker 5: was actually on the phone, and he just gave me
- 54:15Speaker 5: the look of like please don't.
- 54:17Speaker 2: So I didn't. And then I went to a checkout.
- 54:20Speaker 5: We were the only me, my girlfriend's brother, and him
- 54:22Speaker 5: were the only three in the store.
- 54:23Speaker 2: Went to go check out and he was behind us
- 54:25Speaker 2: and he stayed like ten.
- 54:26Speaker 1: Feet behind because you know, you recognize you really said, dude, yeah,
- 54:30Speaker 1: And I pointed out because I was a little buzz
- 54:33Speaker 1: so I did.
- 54:33Speaker 2: That was my first thought. A dude, like, I know you.
- 54:37Speaker 6: That happens, large guy.
- 54:38Speaker 2: Huh oh yeah, by himself, by himself. He coaches the
- 54:41Speaker 2: high high school there. Yeah, Catholic.
- 54:43Speaker 1: Oh that's where he's coaching in Alabama. Yeah, I just
- 54:45Speaker 1: assumed he was in San Diego. And just because he
- 54:47Speaker 1: played for the Chargers, it's stupid to me.
- 54:49Speaker 2: Yeah, he coaches some Catholic school there, lives down the
- 54:51Speaker 2: street from there. He played it in c Stay right, yep.
- 54:53Speaker 1: Yeah, so I guess the South, that's what I was like,
- 54:55Speaker 1: I mean the Confederacy maybe, yeah, I don't know if
- 54:58Speaker 1: that would be the South Civil Wars tho. Yeah, I
- 55:00Speaker 1: mean that's like, you know, blow Mason Dixon I think
- 55:02Speaker 1: is still there.
- 55:03Speaker 2: Uh non.
- 55:04Speaker 8: I think that I have a theory here about this
- 55:07Speaker 8: snake that was in the dugout at the Dodger Stadium.
- 55:10Speaker 8: You see this, so Game two at the Dodger Stadium,
- 55:13Speaker 8: there's a snake in the in the Dodgers dugout. I
- 55:15Speaker 8: think I think the Mets put it in there, because
- 55:19Speaker 8: how many times do you see a snake in a field,
- 55:23Speaker 8: like on a field, in a locker room.
- 55:24Speaker 6: You never see that.
- 55:26Speaker 2: I don't know. There are the bowels of a stadium
- 55:27Speaker 2: that are pretty gross.
- 55:29Speaker 6: Like I think New York has cats, right, Yeah.
- 55:31Speaker 2: I don't know. I think I don't think he's gonna
- 55:34Speaker 2: sneak a snake in.
- 55:35Speaker 8: That's just crazy that on in a major League baseball
- 55:38Speaker 8: field there was a reptile in somebody's dugout.
- 55:42Speaker 2: You know, sometimes there's like possums and stuff that run
- 55:43Speaker 2: out of there.
- 55:44Speaker 6: Well that's true.
- 55:44Speaker 2: I'm just stand underneath the stadium where the bowels are.
- 55:47Speaker 2: They're all kinds of weird. Yeah, I don't know. I'm
- 55:50Speaker 2: not subscribing to that theory.
- 55:52Speaker 6: No.
- 55:52Speaker 8: I thought it was genius Mett's good job. That's how
- 55:55Speaker 8: you do it. That's how you distract the other team.
- 55:57Speaker 8: But not really because you're losing.
- 55:58Speaker 2: If you were to say Philip Rivers in the dugout,
- 56:01Speaker 2: I'd be like, wow, how do you get there? It
- 56:03Speaker 2: must have planned to Phillip Rivers.
- 56:06Speaker 1: My story is twenty three middle school cheerleaders in Texas
- 56:08Speaker 1: are suffering from first and second degree burns on their
- 56:11Speaker 1: hands after their coach may have performed bear crawls and
- 56:13Speaker 1: crab walks on a hot outdoor track as punishment. Yes,
- 56:17Speaker 1: it's not good, so I read the story. My thought
- 56:20Speaker 1: is just my thoughts here. Bear crawls and crabwalks suck
- 56:26Speaker 1: had to do in high school football all the time.
- 56:28Speaker 1: You hated them. It was basically the punishment exercise. I
- 56:32Speaker 1: always like crawdwalks a little more than bearre crauls. They
- 56:34Speaker 1: were a little easier, but they hurt the rest a
- 56:35Speaker 1: little more. You famike, what a crawdwalk is?
- 56:37Speaker 6: Any No? What do we do the other day? Those
- 56:39Speaker 6: are bear Craulska.
- 56:40Speaker 2: Cradwalks are backward. You put your hands behind you and
- 56:42Speaker 2: you go backward.
- 56:42Speaker 6: Well that's tough.
- 56:43Speaker 1: I've done this, not as hard as bear crawls, but
- 56:46Speaker 1: also suck. So whatever they did, I'm not sure. I
- 56:50Speaker 1: don't think the coach, if I'm guessing, made them do
- 56:52Speaker 1: it to burn their hands. That was probably just the
- 56:54Speaker 1: only place you could put your hand because it's not
- 56:56Speaker 1: like you can you can either do it on the
- 56:57Speaker 1: grass or you can do it on a track. And
- 56:59Speaker 1: the coach dumb to make them do this on a
- 57:01Speaker 1: hot day on a dark track. I'm assuming the track
- 57:04Speaker 1: was black.
- 57:04Speaker 2: Yeah, so stupid.
- 57:06Speaker 1: I'm not saying that, but I would think that the
- 57:07Speaker 1: coach part of their punishment wasn't and your hands will burn.
- 57:10Speaker 6: No, No, I didn't realize it was gonna.
- 57:12Speaker 2: Be hot correct or didn't think about it.
- 57:17Speaker 8: Because like they say that about dogs, right, they say, like,
- 57:19Speaker 8: you know, if it's really hot outside, your dogs they
- 57:22Speaker 8: can't walk on that hot sidewalk, But we don't think
- 57:24Speaker 8: about it because we have shoes on.
- 57:25Speaker 2: Also, they're middle school. That's stupid.
- 57:26Speaker 10: Wi the law schoolers, like the coach needs to be
- 57:29Speaker 10: in trouble. I was just thinking, like, what's the mindset.
- 57:31Speaker 2: And we had to do bare carols and crowdwalks all
- 57:33Speaker 2: the time in middle school, but we didn't call it
- 57:35Speaker 2: middle school. Junior high. Is that middle school?
- 57:37Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 57:37Speaker 1: Yeah, junior like eight to nine scot football, Yeah, constantly.
- 57:40Speaker 1: But we either did it on the field or on
- 57:42Speaker 1: the track. But I can't think I'm just giving this
- 57:46Speaker 1: human the benefit of the doubt. They weren't making them
- 57:49Speaker 1: do it on the track because the track was hot, right,
- 57:51Speaker 1: nobody's that stupid. No, you gotta think, coach, take your punishment.
- 57:55Speaker 6: Yeah, think about this now.
- 57:56Speaker 2: I should make him do it like that's eye for
- 57:59Speaker 2: an eye type stuff.
- 58:00Speaker 6: I was like, Bible man, I was thinking.
- 58:02Speaker 8: When I was in middle school, my we had this
- 58:05Speaker 8: new coach come in from Minnesota and we were in
- 58:07Speaker 8: South Texas. We're like seven miles north of Mexico. South
- 58:10Speaker 8: Texas all Mexican kids, like ninety nine percent of our
- 58:13Speaker 8: school were Mexican kids. And our coach comes in, he's
- 58:16Speaker 8: from Minnesota and he's like, all right, let's do some stretches.
- 58:19Speaker 8: He's like, let's do some cotton picking. And that's where
- 58:21Speaker 8: you spread This's where you spread your legs. And they
- 58:23Speaker 8: act like you're picking cotton where he stretched from between
- 58:26Speaker 8: your legs and he's like, you guys are used to that,
- 58:28Speaker 8: so come on. And it's something that like I'd never
- 58:30Speaker 8: thought about when it happened, but now that I'm like
- 58:33Speaker 8: forty five years old, I'm like, I remember him saying that,
- 58:37Speaker 8: and that is some racist stuff.
- 58:39Speaker 1: Do you think that it was because you were Mexicans
- 58:43Speaker 1: or because there was cotton being picked in the area.
- 58:46Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 58:46Speaker 1: I don't know the guy's heart, and I don't know.
- 58:48Speaker 1: I never I don't know. I never knew that Mexicans
- 58:51Speaker 1: generally picked cotton.
- 58:52Speaker 8: Well, yeah, migrant farm workers. It's kind of like, got
- 58:54Speaker 8: it what we do. My mom like she did that
- 58:56Speaker 8: all growing up. She hates the sun because they would
- 58:59Speaker 8: just go pick cotton. The coach white, Yeah, from Minnesota.
- 59:02Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I know. I know if it's Minnesota, so
- 59:04Speaker 2: many's white for sure.
- 59:05Speaker 7: White.
- 59:05Speaker 6: Yeah, but it was crazy. That's bad about that. But
- 59:08Speaker 6: I'm like, you know what, that's forty years later, like
- 59:10Speaker 6: that's not right.
- 59:11Speaker 1: We had slave Day in our school and it was
- 59:14Speaker 1: a school and it was my hometown is White Quarters,
- 59:18Speaker 1: Black Quarters railroad track still to this day, and so
- 59:21Speaker 1: it was you can't do that anyway, but you're talking
- 59:24Speaker 1: about a diverse population, and seniors would go and they
- 59:28Speaker 1: would be auctioned off in the middle of the gym
- 59:31Speaker 1: and then you would own them for a day and
- 59:32Speaker 1: they do whatever, like carry your books. But it was
- 59:34Speaker 1: called slave day, terrible, and we didn't It was just
- 59:37Speaker 1: a tradition for so long we didn't thought. I never
- 59:38Speaker 1: thought anything about it, and I was a slave one year.
- 59:40Speaker 1: But as I got older, not even that much older,
- 59:42Speaker 1: like twenty five, I was.
- 59:43Speaker 6: Like, what, Yeah, that's crazy.
- 59:46Speaker 2: Was I supposed to teach you, like this isn't okay? Well,
- 59:49Speaker 2: maybe to learn about No, it was to raise money
- 59:52Speaker 2: for whatever they were doing, because people paid for it.
- 59:56Speaker 2: Teachers would go for the most and they'd have to
- 59:57Speaker 2: like carry your dudes, is a terrible, terrible, terrible thing.
- 1:00:01Speaker 6: It's funny we don't realize that Ti, we're older like this.
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: Well because well, for you, I guess it wasn't part
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: of that culture because you didn't know that guy, right,
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: But they had done it like fifteen years in a
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: row at my school, so it was like, oh, slave day.
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: I'd both been sold and been bought and bought it's.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: Not good, it's crazy, it's terrible. They don't do it anymore,
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: thank god. It's like with those teachers now that get
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: like lap dances from the mascot.
- 1:00:20Speaker 6: Yes, yes, yes, pep rallies.
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: The best part about football season checking out the postgame stats,

- 1:00:33Speaker 1: or that quarterback would throw for less than three hundred

- 1:02:01Speaker 1: I've not heard this yet. Mike du said, have you
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: heard it? I said no, So we're gonna listen to
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: it together. This is from one to Fight through the
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: Fan in Dallas the Cowboys flags ship station. Are they interviewing, Yeah,
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: they're asking them what happened?
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: Okay, here we go.
- 1:02:14Speaker 7: This is not your job. Your job is to let
- 1:02:17Speaker 7: me go over all the reasons that I did something
- 1:02:20Speaker 7: and I'm sorry that I did it. That's not your job.
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: Well, my job is asking the job or I'll.
- 1:02:25Speaker 7: Get another I'll get somebody else to ask these questions.
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: Man, Jerry, We're just we're trying to figure out why
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: the team out.
- 1:02:33Speaker 7: I'm not kidding it. I'm not kidding you. You're not
- 1:02:36Speaker 7: going to figure out it's what the team is doing
- 1:02:39Speaker 7: right or wrong. If you are are any five or
- 1:02:44Speaker 7: ten like you, you need to come to this meeting
- 1:02:46Speaker 7: I'm going to today. There are thirty two teams here.
- 1:02:49Speaker 7: Your geniuses, Jerry, y'all really think you're going to sit
- 1:02:54Speaker 7: there with a microphone and tell me all of the
- 1:02:58Speaker 7: things that I've done wrong? And with going over the ride.
- 1:03:05Speaker 6: That's the poor guys.
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: I feel bad for those guys because they're they're like
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: turned to their job. But also, if Jerry Jones is
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: kind of the boss, you got to do your job
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: a little differently unless you want the pushback of challenging
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: the person that can probably challenge your job.
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: It's a weird place to have to be.
- 1:03:28Speaker 6: But what was the question, what's going on? What's wrong?
- 1:03:31Speaker 6: I mean, I feel like it's a legit question.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: Jerry's cranky, Yeah for sure. So that's the first thing.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: And then I feel bad for these guys because they're
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: trying to do their jobs as a radio host or
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: reporters or whatever they classify themselves as and asked the
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: tough questions. But on the super personal level, you also
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: have to know that if you're asking questions to somebody
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: who can affect your livelihood, yea, and that person's known
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: to be a bit temperamental, you don't grab the horns
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: if you don't want to be bowled in the bowls
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: or whatever.
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: Yeah, that's so. Yeah, nobody wins on that except for us.
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: Yeah, because I was yeah, because we like, we enjoyed
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: the clip. But nobody wins on that because Jerry Jones
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: doesn't like it. Obviously he doesn't like to be challenged,
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: and these guys don't like it because now they're embarrassed,
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: and Jerry Jones like got on them.
- 1:04:19Speaker 6: He even hit him with the I'm serious you think
- 1:04:22Speaker 6: I'm joking?
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: They started laughing.
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: I think it was awkward to them, so they're Yeah,
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: that's where I would have just been like, we're losing
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: you click.
- 1:04:33Speaker 6: Yeah, what that's I mean, you're in the Radio Hall
- 1:04:34Speaker 6: of Fame, dude, I.
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: Mean awkward, especially if we're a live I'd been like, wow,
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: we're breaking we're breaking up.
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: Boom. I just dropped it immediately. I wouldn't get out
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: of it, just prove I didn't right, right, right, But yeah,
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: that sucks a little good.
- 1:04:47Speaker 6: That's awkward.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: Well yeah, and also you know his birthday and he
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: gotta beat real bad. He's really embarrassed, and he's embarrassed,
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: and no genius is with the microphone.
- 1:04:54Speaker 8: So what's that meeting he's talking about with all the teams.
- 1:04:57Speaker 8: They all just get to get all.
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: The owner owners meeting you.
- 1:04:59Speaker 9: Damn.
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: That's I feel like it's like Illuminati linked it a
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: little bit. Oh for sure.
- 1:05:03Speaker 6: We're all wearing robes, masks, wear their mask jobs.
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: Dang. I felt bad for everybody there. Yeah, it was
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: awkward Jerry because he got beat real bad on his birthday.
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: I hate that for him. Those radio guys, I'm trying
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: to challenge your eighty two eighty two. Yeah, But for
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: the record, Jerry Jones super nice to us.
- 1:05:21Speaker 6: It's super nice, says Helicopter.
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: I love them. Okay, cool. We did mention earlier in
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: Casey's here. Now, who's a big Jets fan. You got
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: to be kind of torn because what a bad game,
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: But also you just got to want to Adams.
- 1:05:35Speaker 11: Yeah, but I don't know, this one hurt really bad.
- 1:05:38Speaker 11: I think I need like a little some of Aaron's
- 1:05:41Speaker 11: ayahuasca juice or something like that.
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: So you just got.
- 1:05:45Speaker 6: I mean, it just feels like a little too little,
- 1:05:47Speaker 6: too late.
- 1:05:48Speaker 11: I don't know, I don't really you know, I feel
- 1:05:50Speaker 11: like it's not going to fix the defense. It's not
- 1:05:52Speaker 11: going to fix the offensive line, you know. I mean, yes,
- 1:05:54Speaker 11: it's reuniting with Aaron and you know, another guy from
- 1:05:58Speaker 11: Green Bay that we're bringing over to the Jets.
- 1:06:00Speaker 6: And you know, I'm a little right now, man.
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: To be fair, just another guy like he's like you
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: are going to be reinvested in a matter of.
- 1:06:13Speaker 6: Talk to me in like two days. I'll be right back.
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: So in two days, what do you think you'll say
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: about this trade.
- 1:06:20Speaker 11: I'll say that I'll give Woody credit for still trying
- 1:06:23Speaker 11: to salvage this season. I mean, yesterday was a big game,
- 1:06:27Speaker 11: but you know, we're two and four. You know, there's
- 1:06:30Speaker 11: a lot of teams that are also two and four.
- 1:06:32Speaker 11: Three and three, so you know, if we click at
- 1:06:35Speaker 11: some point, you know there is a chance to hit
- 1:06:37Speaker 11: the wild card. But you know, once again prime time
- 1:06:40Speaker 11: Sunday night. And I just like, as a Jet fan,
- 1:06:43Speaker 11: I apologize to all of you that you have to
- 1:06:46Speaker 11: watch the Jets.
- 1:06:47Speaker 6: On every primetime game that there is.
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: But that's a bad game.
- 1:06:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:06:50Speaker 11: So now we're playing the Steelers Sunday Night. I mean,
- 1:06:53Speaker 11: I guess you could.
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: Yeah, that's going to be ugly, because it's going to
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: be ugly. So what did you think about Aaron Rodgers
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: play Williams on that comeback?
- 1:07:03Speaker 7: On that?
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: Man?
- 1:07:04Speaker 11: Yeah, he under he under through the ball. I don't know,
- 1:07:07Speaker 11: I mean, to be fair, Mike Williams looks like he's
- 1:07:09Speaker 11: still not really figured out Aaron Rodgers' scheme and stuff
- 1:07:12Speaker 11: like that. And it is like week six already. It's like, dude,
- 1:07:15Speaker 11: like what are we doing? But you know if you
- 1:07:17Speaker 11: told me that, you know, in the last three games
- 1:07:19Speaker 11: that Aaron Rodgers would have the ball last to win
- 1:07:22Speaker 11: the game for us and we would go zero and three,
- 1:07:24Speaker 11: I mean, that's that's pretty bad man, you know what
- 1:07:26Speaker 11: I mean, Like you would think like two and one
- 1:07:28Speaker 11: or something, you know, Yeah, so I don't know, you know,
- 1:07:31Speaker 11: it's it's just the.
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: Same adjatsment Son Reddick got a new agent.
- 1:07:35Speaker 6: The Sound Rags got a new agent. He's looking to
- 1:07:37Speaker 6: get a trade.
- 1:07:38Speaker 11: I don't know, bring him back, yeah, I mean, I
- 1:07:41Speaker 11: mean it would be wonderful for our defense.
- 1:07:44Speaker 6: I don't know if I want to see that guy
- 1:07:45Speaker 6: kin Lock.
- 1:07:46Speaker 5: They did open the window to look for a trade, right, Yeah, that's.
- 1:07:49Speaker 11: A small window, which I guess means this week or
- 1:07:53Speaker 11: something so well good that.
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: You get there's a little consolation.
- 1:07:58Speaker 11: Yeah, and thank god for playoff baseball. That's the only
- 1:08:00Speaker 11: thing that's keeping me saying.
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: Oh yeah, nothing like beating on the little Guardians. Hey man,
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: taking out a little Guardian payroll.
- 1:08:11Speaker 7: Read.
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: How you doing buddy, I'm good man, how are you
- 1:08:13Speaker 2: doing good? We played pickleball yesterday, Me Eddie Reid.
- 1:08:17Speaker 6: Finally did you killed us?
- 1:08:20Speaker 8: Like it was basically Bobby versus me and Reid and
- 1:08:23Speaker 8: Read and I would rotate. It was just like all right,
- 1:08:25Speaker 8: I would get whooped, like seven zero together. Yeah, when
- 1:08:29Speaker 8: I get a break, Read, you get whooped. And we
- 1:08:31Speaker 8: just did that for what an hour and a half.
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: Well, and then the last match I was like, well,
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: let's just do it was really good. But Read's been
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: playing a while and Eddie almost beat him, Like, I
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: think a few more matches and Eddie overtakes Read even
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: though he's been playing.
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: For four months.
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: No, no, no, yes, Eddie's already as good or better
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: than you. And it's the first time you ever like
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: really played with yesterday, like we shot on camera, did
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: an episode.
- 1:08:51Speaker 6: That's the last time I played.
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: And that wasn't even really playing, that was just for
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: on camera, Like I think you will overtake Read the
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: next time you play play a day.
- 1:09:01Speaker 9: I feel like I don't try as hard as I should.
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: That's the lamess loser of an excuse.
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: I don't try as hard as I should because I'm
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: just like I like, I'm just not competitive, unless like
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: there's money on the line.
- 1:09:15Speaker 4: You know, I.
- 1:09:20Speaker 8: Bet against you, but we're not doing that today, Like,
- 1:09:23Speaker 8: let's give us a few weeks to do that, because
- 1:09:26Speaker 8: I mean, I.
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: Want to play.
- 1:09:29Speaker 6: Ladies, get a train for this.
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: You know what losers say, only I play my best
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: on the lights. Come on, I only only play the
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: best with bet for money. That's what losers say.
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: Winners compete all the time, regardless, like you hate losing.
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: Therefore it's not even you love to win, but you
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: do win because you hate losing so much.
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: Reads a loser. That is a loser attitude.
- 1:09:53Speaker 6: What do you got to say there? Rude?
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: I agree.
- 1:09:55Speaker 9: I'm just I'm just not that messed up with being
- 1:09:57Speaker 9: a loser.
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying. He didn't make him care.
- 1:10:00Speaker 6: Okay.
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: It's the nicest, sweetest guy ever. He's like, if you
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: want me to be a loser, I will be. He's
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: like the kindest shit. Let like, and I don't mean
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: that the hater Like. He's just like, well, if you
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: want to win, you can, you know what I mean?
- 1:10:16Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: Yeah, So you don't have the tiger huh? I mean
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: do you not want to beat Daddy? I do you
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: beat him?
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: Yesterday?
- 1:10:23Speaker 4: I did want to beat him just because it was
- 1:10:24Speaker 4: the first time he's played and I was like, this
- 1:10:27Speaker 4: is and he almost be my soul.
- 1:10:29Speaker 9: If if I just got absolutely ran through on that.
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: Like I pound you, it doesn't bother you.
- 1:10:33Speaker 4: Uh, it does a little bit, because I'm like, come on, man,
- 1:10:38Speaker 4: like I got a little bit in me, you know,
- 1:10:40Speaker 4: not to just get pounded every single time.
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: Do you think you don't have it in you because
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: you don't think you can win, and so it's kind
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: of your defense mechanism.
- 1:10:48Speaker 6: I think it's interesting.
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: So you know, I'm not me.
- 1:10:52Speaker 9: I think it's for me.
- 1:10:53Speaker 4: Like I know I have the athleticism, but I feel
- 1:10:55Speaker 4: like my like mentally, I'm not as smart in the
- 1:10:58Speaker 4: game as you and a lot of people, so I
- 1:11:01Speaker 4: won't like it.
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: We're talking about pick a ball. By the way, guys, record,
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: she got coach stoops on for that.
- 1:11:06Speaker 4: Yeah, man, I mean you got those no looks going
- 1:11:09Speaker 4: and stuff, and I'm just no, look, I'm just trying
