Mega edition: Prince Andrew And The Epstein Questions He Wants to Avoid (10/3/26) · The Vault: The Epstein Files

0:00
Speaker 1: On this morning's episode, we were discussing the response from
0:03
Speaker 1: Prince Andrew's legal team in regards to the revelation of
0:08
Speaker 1: the fact that the United States filed for an MLA
0:12
Speaker 1: with British authorities. Now, Andrew's legal team has said numerous
0:18
Speaker 1: times now that basically the Department of Justice is lying
0:23
Speaker 1: and that Andrew has made himself available for all interviews. Meanwhile,
0:29
Speaker 1: We know that that's not the case, and we know
0:31
Speaker 1: that Andrew is dragging his feet, and we know that
0:34
Speaker 1: he wants nothing to do with sitting down for another
0:37
Speaker 1: interview about Jeffrey Epstein. If he couldn't handle Emily Maitlis,
0:44
Speaker 1: a fine reporter, but if he couldn't handle her throwing
0:49
Speaker 1: some inside heat at him, how in the world does
0:52
Speaker 1: anyone think he will be able to sit in front
0:54
Speaker 1: of a seasoned interrogator and not crack? Because folks, that's
1:01
Speaker 1: what will happen if they put him in front of
1:04
Speaker 1: a seasoned investigator. This man's not built for this. But
1:07
Speaker 1: the more I think about it, the more I am
1:10
Speaker 1: convinced that what they want to do with Andrew is
1:14
Speaker 1: use him to get to Ghislaine Maxwell somehow. I think
1:18
Speaker 1: that is their motivation here. And I think they want
1:21
Speaker 1: him to rat on her. Obviously, there's no evidence of that.
1:26
Speaker 1: I don't have any... you know, no inside track there
1:28
Speaker 1: or anything like that. But it just seems to me
1:31
Speaker 1: as this all started, as this is all playing out
1:33
Speaker 1: right before our eyes, that there's only a few different
1:35
Speaker 1: ways it can go here. Now, I believe that there
1:38
Speaker 1: are other people who are cooperating with the investigation as
1:41
Speaker 1: we speak. If there wasn't, I don't think that they'd
1:46
Speaker 1: be so cavalier speaking about Andrew in such terms as
1:52
Speaker 1: we're going to hear Berman use in a little while here.
1:55
Speaker 1: And I don't think that they would be so quick
1:59
Speaker 1: to file that MLA if they didn't truly believe that
2:03
Speaker 1: Andrew could add a whole lot to the story. So,
2:10
Speaker 1: I don't really know which way it's going to break.
2:13
Speaker 1: I think that there is a very, very real possibility
2:18
Speaker 1: that multiple people could be cooperating as we speak. According
2:23
Speaker 1: to the Department of Justice... This investigation has been ongoing
2:27
Speaker 1: since Jeffrey Epstein's death, and the evidence that's just in
2:31
Speaker 1: the public sphere is enough to put these people in prison.
2:34
Speaker 1: So you would have to think that the Department of
2:37
Speaker 1: Justice and the investigators have compiled just loads and loads
2:41
Speaker 1: and loads of evidence. And remember, the stuff that's not
2:44
Speaker 1: in public view, videotapes, pictures, etc., etc., this could all
2:50
Speaker 1: be very damning for the co-conspirators. And I think a
2:55
Speaker 1: move like this, a big move like this by the
2:57
Speaker 1: SDNY and for this to blow up publicly and for
3:01
Speaker 1: the Department of Justice to even have a press release
3:04
Speaker 1: about this, I think it kind of gives you a
3:07
Speaker 1: little bit of a peek into their long game, into
3:11
Speaker 1: what they have going on. And I just have one
3:15
Speaker 1: of those feelings that there are certainly other people right
3:18
Speaker 1: now as we speak that are cooperating with the FBI
3:22
Speaker 1: to because they understand that the jig is up. And obviously,
3:27
Speaker 1: the gem is Ghislaine Maxwell. If she's arrested, she's interrogated,
3:36
Speaker 1: she can implicate many, many other people inside of this
3:41
Speaker 1: criminal enterprise. She certainly, certainly knows the ins and outs
3:46
Speaker 1: of this criminal enterprise, this criminal organization. And you know
3:50
Speaker 1: why she knows? How she knows them so well and
3:53
Speaker 1: why she is so familiar with the way things operate?
3:59
Speaker 1: Because she was Jeffrey Epstein's shadow boss in my opinion.
4:03
Speaker 1: She was the brains of the operation. They worked hand
4:08
Speaker 1: in hand to unwrap this disgusting enterprise and put it
4:15
Speaker 1: into operation. So I really believe that this might be
4:23
Speaker 1: the beginning of the end for Ghislaine Maxwell. Now, how
4:27
Speaker 1: long it'll be until she's arrested, I don't have any
4:29
Speaker 1: of that kind of information and I'm not even willing
4:31
Speaker 1: to speculate. But usually when things start to happen in
4:34
Speaker 1: a case like this and you see somebody as high
4:37
Speaker 1: profile as Prince Andrew... catching all the heat right now,
4:42
Speaker 1: you know that they're shaking trees at lower levels because
4:45
Speaker 1: it's easier to grab that low-hanging fruit, right? You get
4:48
Speaker 1: enough of these low-level operatives speaking and talking and providing
4:52
Speaker 1: you with witness statements and saying that they'll get on
4:54
Speaker 1: the stand and testify, well, that's how you build a case.
4:59
Speaker 1: And if the circumstantial evidence and the hard evidence that
5:04
Speaker 1: is available to the public is any indication, you would
5:07
Speaker 1: have to think that they have an iron... clad RICO
5:12
Speaker 1: case that is working its way through the Department of
5:15
Speaker 1: Justice as we speak. So, hopefully, this is a prelude
5:21
Speaker 1: to that. And hopefully, in the coming months, we see
5:24
Speaker 1: this accelerate and we start to see arrests, indictments, prosecutions,
5:33
Speaker 1: and long prison sentences for anyone and everyone who was involved.
5:40
Speaker 1: So tonight our article is from the New York Post
5:43
Speaker 1: and the author is Kate Sheehy. The headline, Manhattan U.S.
5:48
Speaker 1: Attorney Rips Prince Andrew Over Potential Jeffrey Epstein Talks. The
5:54
Speaker 1: Manhattan U.S. Attorney ripped Prince Andrew on Monday after the
5:57
Speaker 1: Royals lawyers claimed that their client has been offering to
6:00
Speaker 1: talk to the feds about his pedophile pal Jeffrey Epstein
6:04
Speaker 1: to no avail. And this is the strategy that they're
6:08
Speaker 1: running with. We talked about this earlier. What they're trying
6:11
Speaker 1: to do, once again, is muddy the waters. What they're
6:13
Speaker 1: trying to do is make it look like the Justice
6:16
Speaker 1: Department is as big a liar as Joe Exotic of
6:21
Speaker 1: the Windsor family. And we know that both people, groups
6:26
Speaker 1: in one case with the Justice Department, they like to
6:28
Speaker 1: play loose with the truth. There's zero doubt about it.
6:30
Speaker 1: They will do anything to get a prosecution. But Prince Andrew...
6:36
Speaker 1: This guy, everything he has said so far has proven
6:40
Speaker 1: to be absolute BS. So I'm inclined to believe the
6:46
Speaker 1: Justice Department over Prince Andrew and his handlers in this case.
6:53
Speaker 1: Not because I think the Justice Department... plays fair, or
6:57
Speaker 1: because I think that they're this, you know, this beacon
7:00
Speaker 1: of truth, freedom, and justice, but because I think in
7:03
Speaker 1: a case that's this high profile, they know that they
7:07
Speaker 1: have to play it to the letter. There is way, way, way, way,
7:10
Speaker 1: way too much scrutiny on this case at this point
7:13
Speaker 1: for them to mess around. So when they come out
7:17
Speaker 1: with statements such as this, I have a hard time
7:21
Speaker 1: believing that the Justice Department doesn't have something cooking. And
7:25
Speaker 1: it's even harder for me to believe that Prince Andrew
7:28
Speaker 1: and his lawyers think that this strategy is going to work. Today,
7:34
Speaker 1: Prince Andrew... the Joe Exotic of the Windsor family, yet
7:38
Speaker 1: again sought to falsely portray himself to the public as
7:41
Speaker 1: eager and willing to cooperate with an ongoing federal criminal
7:45
Speaker 1: investigation into sex trafficking and related offenses committed by Jeffrey
7:50
Speaker 1: Epstein and his associates... even though the Prince has not
7:55
Speaker 1: given an interview to federal authorities has repeatedly declined our
7:59
Speaker 1: request to schedule such an interview. And nearly four months
8:03
Speaker 1: ago informed us unequivocally through the very same council who
8:07
Speaker 1: issued today's release that he would not come in for
8:10
Speaker 1: such an interview. U S attorney, Jeffrey Berman said in
8:14
Speaker 1: a blistering statement. Now this was the press release I
8:17
Speaker 1: was talking about. This is, uh, the, the first part
8:19
Speaker 1: of it. And, um, Berman was pretty frank in what
8:23
Speaker 1: he had to say, right? Pretty upfront and pretty direct
8:26
Speaker 1: about the situation. Now, Everybody who's been listening to this
8:30
Speaker 1: podcast and anybody who knows me in real life knows
8:32
Speaker 1: how I feel about the way this case has been
8:35
Speaker 1: prosecuted and specifically about the way the SDNY has gone
8:40
Speaker 1: about prosecuting this case, considering their track record and how
8:43
Speaker 1: aggressive they usually are in situations like this. And I
8:46
Speaker 1: am not a huge fan of the way Berman is
8:49
Speaker 1: going about his business. I am not a huge fan
8:51
Speaker 1: of Maureen Comey, but I will tell you this much.
8:55
Speaker 1: The fact that he's willing to come out in public
8:57
Speaker 1: here is a huge deal because now it also puts
9:01
Speaker 1: the spotlight on him and his office. Do you know
9:04
Speaker 1: how inept they're going to look if they can't get
9:06
Speaker 1: an interview with this guy now? If there's no prosecutions
9:09
Speaker 1: when he keeps talking about the co-conspirators, just like he
9:11
Speaker 1: mentioned again here. And remember folks, all these words... Everything
9:17
Speaker 1: that they say in statements like this, it's important. You
9:20
Speaker 1: have to read in between the lines. And when he
9:22
Speaker 1: talks about a criminal investigation into sex trafficking and related
9:26
Speaker 1: offenses committed by Epstein and his associates, that's what he means. Now,
9:32
Speaker 1: I don't know if they consider Andrew part of the
9:36
Speaker 1: enterprise and criminal organization investigation as far as being a...
9:43
Speaker 1: a subject, a target of investigation or just a witness.
9:46
Speaker 1: They're coming out and saying just a witness, but they
9:49
Speaker 1: do that a lot of times. A lot of times
9:51
Speaker 1: they'll say that sort of thing, get you in the
9:53
Speaker 1: chair and then hammer you. And nobody, I repeat, nobody
9:59
Speaker 1: is as good at tripping you up in an interrogation
10:02
Speaker 1: room as the FBI. They live for that kind of thing.
10:08
Speaker 1: And then what they'll do, they'll catch you lying and
10:10
Speaker 1: then they'll go after you on process crimes as well.
10:14
Speaker 1: That is why Prince Andrew has not sat down with him.
10:17
Speaker 1: That is why his legal counsel is dragging their feet.
10:21
Speaker 1: And that is why they're engaging in this war of
10:23
Speaker 1: words in such a public way that is completely and
10:27
Speaker 1: utterly a black eye to the monarchy. But Andrew understands
10:31
Speaker 1: at this point, he understands that he is in the
10:34
Speaker 1: fight of his life. This isn't going to go away.
10:38
Speaker 1: People aren't going to forget about this. And furthermore, nobody,
10:44
Speaker 1: If Prince Andrew is in fact serious about cooperating with
10:53
Speaker 1: the ongoing federal investigation, our doors remain open and we
10:58
Speaker 1: await word of when we should expect him, the top
11:01
Speaker 1: federal prosecutor said. And again, that's huge, right? When you
11:05
Speaker 1: have the top federal prosecutor who is in charge of
11:08
Speaker 1: the whole office, the whole entire district, coming out swinging
11:11
Speaker 1: like this, throwing haymakers at somebody like Prince Andrew, you
11:16
Speaker 1: know that they mean business. And from the people that
11:19
Speaker 1: I've talked to, not people that have anything to do
11:21
Speaker 1: with this case, by the way, but people who work
11:24
Speaker 1: as lawyers or in the legal system, etc., etc., according
11:29
Speaker 1: to them, it seems to them from the outside looking in, obviously,
11:33
Speaker 1: that something much bigger is afoot. They have something going
11:38
Speaker 1: on in the kitchen, and this is just an hors d'oeuvre, right?
11:41
Speaker 1: We got some appetizers coming up, but the main course
11:45
Speaker 1: is still cooking in the oven. And that's basically what
11:48
Speaker 1: they were saying, that moves like this usually predicate something
11:52
Speaker 1: much bigger. And this is the kind of thing that
11:56
Speaker 1: rattles cages. and gets people really scared. People who are
11:59
Speaker 1: engaged in this investigation, people who are caught up as
12:04
Speaker 1: subjects of investigation, when they see someone like Prince Andrew
12:08
Speaker 1: verbally getting battered by the top federal prosecutor in the case,
12:13
Speaker 1: that shakes some people at their core, right? Because if
12:17
Speaker 1: they're going after Andrew like this, well, you would have
12:20
Speaker 1: to think that just as vigorously or even more so,
12:23
Speaker 1: they will be going after the lower hanging fruits to
12:27
Speaker 1: build their case. And I truly believe that's what's occurring
12:31
Speaker 1: here and we're seeing it all play out in rapid
12:35
Speaker 1: time right in front of our faces. The verbal back
12:40
Speaker 1: and forth came a day after it was reported that U.S.
12:42
Speaker 1: prosecutors are demanding the U.K. hand over the prints for questioning.
12:47
Speaker 1: The U.S. Department of Justice recently bypassed Buckingham Palace by
12:51
Speaker 1: filing a mutual legal assistance request to the U.K. Home
12:55
Speaker 1: Office to force the disgraced royal to testify according to
12:58
Speaker 1: The Sun. Now remember, this moron put his foot in
13:03
Speaker 1: his mouth. He said in that Emily Maitlis interview that
13:05
Speaker 1: he's willing to speak with the authorities. He said it
13:07
Speaker 1: three times. And now, when he has his chance, he
13:11
Speaker 1: lawyers up, he clams up, and he comes out on
13:14
Speaker 1: the offensive? He comes out swinging? He comes out like
13:18
Speaker 1: he's the victim? I'm sorry. Nobody's buying it. You are
13:26
Speaker 1: not the victim, Joe Exotic of the Windsor family. The
13:31
Speaker 1: poor girls that got caught up in Jeffrey Epstein's disgusting
13:35
Speaker 1: trafficking ring? They're the people who were victims at one point,
13:42
Speaker 1: but they are now survivors, my friend. You, on the
13:44
Speaker 1: other hand, you only have yourself to blame. Nobody else
13:48
Speaker 1: to blame. You're the one that hung out with Jeffrey Epstein.
13:50
Speaker 1: You're the one who knew exactly what he was, in
13:53
Speaker 1: my opinion, and you still cavorted with him. After his
13:57
Speaker 1: first arrest, you come over and you stay with him
13:59
Speaker 1: for five days. Oh, I know. It was because you
14:03
Speaker 1: wanted to break up. But in reality, in the real
14:06
Speaker 1: world where the rest of us reside, we all know
14:09
Speaker 1: the score. We know that why you were over there.
14:11
Speaker 1: And we know just how deep your ties are with
14:14
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein. And we also know that somewhere, Joe Exotic
14:20
Speaker 1: of the Windsor family, there is a dossier built on
14:25
Speaker 1: you as well. The U.S. Department of Justice... Excuse me.
14:31
Speaker 1: The move prompted the prince's lawyers to issue a statement
14:34
Speaker 1: early Monday insisting that the Duke of York has, on
14:37
Speaker 1: at least three occasions this year, offered his assistance as
14:41
Speaker 1: a witness in a sex trafficking case involving the late
14:44
Speaker 1: multi-millionaire financier Epstein. Pedophile. And they keep saying this, but
14:49
Speaker 1: we have no proof of that. How do we know?
14:55
Speaker 1: Forgive me if I don't believe lawyers, okay? Forgive me
14:58
Speaker 1: if I don't believe the defense attorneys in this case.
15:02
Speaker 1: They're like propagandists, the biggest propaganda pushers in the whole
15:07
Speaker 1: world when it comes to their clients, right? It's like
15:09
Speaker 1: Baghdad Bob standing on top of that building while the
15:12
Speaker 1: tanks were rolling into Baghdad. And this guy telling us
15:14
Speaker 1: everything's fine here. No, but no, no Americans invading here.
15:17
Speaker 1: There's no coalition forces. That's basically what Andrew's people are
15:21
Speaker 1: doing right now. Oh, everything's fine here. Meanwhile, the house
15:25
Speaker 1: of cards is collapsing all around him. Epstein hanged himself
15:30
Speaker 1: in a federal lockup in Manhattan in August while awaiting trial, allegedly.
15:35
Speaker 1: But there are alleged co-conspirators that the feds are reportedly
15:38
Speaker 1: eyeing in the case. Yeah, there certainly are. And guess what?
15:44
Speaker 1: Their time is almost up. Andrew has not been named
15:48
Speaker 1: a co-conspirator, although he has been accused of sexually abusing
15:51
Speaker 1: some of Epstein's survivors, claims he has denied. His legal
15:56
Speaker 1: representative group, Blackford's LLP, said Monday that the disgraced royal
16:00
Speaker 1: has had a desire to provide cooperation to help Epstein's survivors,
16:05
Speaker 1: but that the feds have shown no interest in what
16:07
Speaker 1: he has to say, then publicly claimed he's the one
16:10
Speaker 1: holding back. So, what they want us to believe is...
16:16
Speaker 1: that the feds, they wouldn't talk to Andrew if Andrew
16:18
Speaker 1: just showed up. They'd turn him around and say, nope,
16:20
Speaker 1: go home. We have nothing to say to you. If
16:23
Speaker 1: Andrew was sincere about any of this nonsense, he would
16:26
Speaker 1: walk into the FBI office, the consulate, whatever it may be,
16:30
Speaker 1: set it up so they come see him and he
16:32
Speaker 1: would have the interview. He would go under oath. But no,
16:36
Speaker 1: they want to play games and now they want to
16:38
Speaker 1: make it a back-and-forth, tit-for-tat type of situation where they
16:42
Speaker 1: try and muddy the waters a little bit more. But
16:45
Speaker 1: guess what, Blackford's LLP? You're not as smart as you
16:49
Speaker 1: think you are. The usual tactics will no longer work,
16:53
Speaker 1: and you will not gain control of the narrative. So
16:57
Speaker 1: good luck defending your client. In doing so, they are
17:03
Speaker 1: perhaps seeking publicity rather than accepting the assistance proffered. The
17:07
Speaker 1: Prince's legal team said, publicity? This case doesn't need any
17:12
Speaker 1: more publicity. If you're just waking up, the whole entire
17:18
Speaker 1: case is just completely blown up in the last week
17:21
Speaker 1: or so since the Jeffrey Epstein Filthy Rich Netflix documentary
17:25
Speaker 1: has come out. The platform is huge. Therefore, the story's
17:34
Speaker 1: going to be huge. Prince Andrew is not needed for publicity, okay?
17:39
Speaker 1: Prince Andrew is needed because what he did to Virginia
17:43
Speaker 1: Roberts while taking part in Jeffrey Epstein's trafficking ring is
17:48
Speaker 1: disgustingly unacceptable and he must answer for his actions. Point blank, period.
17:57
Speaker 1: No wiggle room, no room for, you know, back and forth,
18:02
Speaker 1: none of it. Hard questions that demand hard answers. Importantly,
18:10
Speaker 1: the DOJ advised us that the Duke is not, and
18:12
Speaker 1: has never been a target of their criminal investigations into Epstein.
18:16
Speaker 1: and that they sought his confidential, voluntary cooperation, Blackford said.
18:21
Speaker 1: So if that's the case, and he's not a target,
18:23
Speaker 1: then just go in and talk. What are you so
18:25
Speaker 1: scared of? Why are you scared to have your client
18:28
Speaker 1: go in under oath? Send him in, sit down with him,
18:31
Speaker 1: and don't have him invoke his Fifth Amendment privilege, by
18:34
Speaker 1: the way. Let's get to the bottom of this. If
18:37
Speaker 1: he's so innocent, if he has all this evidence, all
18:40
Speaker 1: these receipts, let's bring it to the table, and let's see.
18:44
Speaker 1: Because from where I'm sitting, None of that's the case.
18:51
Speaker 1: From the evidence that has been presented thus far, the
18:56
Speaker 1: Joe Exotic of the Windsor family is as guilty as
19:02
Speaker 1: could be. In my opinion, there is no way that
19:08
Speaker 1: this man has the evidence to prove that that he
19:13
Speaker 1: did not do to Virginia what she's claiming that he did.
19:16
Speaker 1: Because remember, I'm not even talking about the friendship with Epstein.
19:20
Speaker 1: As repugnant as that is, it's a drop in the
19:23
Speaker 1: bucket compared to what this man is convicted of. I mean,
19:28
Speaker 1: what this man is being accused of. So... This is
19:33
Speaker 1: a whole different ballgame when it comes to Andrew, and
19:37
Speaker 1: they might not be stating that he's a target in
19:39
Speaker 1: the criminal investigation, but if you think for one second
19:44
Speaker 1: that those FBI agents do not have it on their
19:47
Speaker 1: mind of what those allegations from Virginia in regards to
19:51
Speaker 1: Andrew are, and if you do not think they're going
19:54
Speaker 1: to try and trip him up, you have not been
19:56
Speaker 1: paying attention because that is exactly what's going to occur.
20:00
Speaker 1: And that's why you see this wrangling right now between
20:02
Speaker 1: his legal team and the that their client is in.
20:12
Speaker 1: And they understand that if they put their client into
20:15
Speaker 1: a room with the FBI, that it is going to
20:18
Speaker 1: be disastrous for him. So that's why you see them
20:24
Speaker 1: coming out here and they're coming out swinging now, right?
20:27
Speaker 1: They're trying to take the initiative. And what do I
20:29
Speaker 1: always say? The best defense is a good offense, and
20:33
Speaker 1: that is exactly where they're at. They're looking to fight
20:35
Speaker 1: fire with fire now and get into that proverbial knife fight.
20:39
Speaker 1: It is not going to end up well for Prince Andrew.
20:42
Speaker 1: This is not the strategy that I think his legal
20:45
Speaker 1: team should be taking, and I think getting into a
20:48
Speaker 1: public spat with the Justice Department is such a black
20:52
Speaker 1: eye for the royal family as a whole, never mind Andrew,
20:56
Speaker 1: that this is going to have long-lasting ramifications. And you
21:01
Speaker 1: know what the first ramification is going to be? The
21:04
Speaker 1: first ramification is going to be the public is going
21:09
Speaker 1: to demand that this situation and the people involved in
21:16
Speaker 1: this situation are all brought to justice. That is the
21:20
Speaker 1: only way this ends. There's no middle ground. There's no
21:25
Speaker 1: wiggle room at all. These people all need to face
21:29
Speaker 1: the music. Andrew, Ghislaine Maxwell, and the rest of them.
21:35
Speaker 1: The question is, when exactly is that going to occur?
21:39
Speaker 1: If you'd like to contact me, you can do that
21:43
Speaker 1: at bobbycapucci at protonmail.com. That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I at protonmail.com. You can
21:51
Speaker 1: also find me on Twitter at B-O-B-B-Y... Underscore C-A-P-U-C-C-I. To
21:56
Speaker 1: the Epstein Chronicles. Prince Andrew and his legal team have
22:01
Speaker 1: filed paperwork that answers pretty much every single one of
22:07
Speaker 1: the claims raised by Virginia Roberts. In this filing, he's
22:13
Speaker 1: also claiming that he was not a close friend of
22:16
Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell, which is demonstrably a lie. And he is
22:21
Speaker 1: now also claiming that he wants a trial by jury. Well,
22:25
Speaker 1: we have a relatively long article from the Daily Mail,
22:29
Speaker 1: so I'm not going to get too long-winded here with
22:31
Speaker 1: the monologue. And we're just going to dive right in,
22:34
Speaker 1: and we're going to see what the Daily Mail and
22:37
Speaker 1: authors Rebecca English and Dave Averre have for us tonight. Headline.
22:45
Speaker 1: Prince Andrew's defiant 41-page denial response to Virginia Roberts' sex
22:50
Speaker 1: abuse lawsuit puts him on a collision course with the palace...
22:54
Speaker 1: as he demands a jury trial and says Ghislaine Maxwell
22:58
Speaker 1: was not his close friend. I mean, is this guy
23:03
Speaker 1: really thinking that this is going to work out for him?
23:05
Speaker 1: I mean, I'm being honest here. I'm not even trying
23:07
Speaker 1: to be my usual wise-ass self. This is a really
23:12
Speaker 1: bad idea for him. A jury trial? He might as
23:16
Speaker 1: well have just demanded a trial by combat, like in
23:19
Speaker 1: Game of Thrones. Because a jury trial is going to
23:22
Speaker 1: go the same way for him. It's going to go
23:23
Speaker 1: real bad. I don't like that word. How about a
23:28
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein survivor? A sex slave? I mean, it's kind
23:30
Speaker 1: of crude, no? In his official response to claims made
23:47
Speaker 1: against him by Virginia Roberts five months ago, the Queen's
23:50
Speaker 1: son issued 41 denials, rejecting all allegations of wrongdoing, but
23:55
Speaker 1: set up further 40 times that he lacks sufficient information
23:59
Speaker 1: to admit or deny other claims. I mean, talk about
24:04
Speaker 1: really getting down into the weeds here. Prince Andrew's lawyers
24:08
Speaker 1: are working overtime here, folks, to make sure that he is...
24:13
Speaker 1: you know, ready to go, if you will, with this
24:16
Speaker 1: new strategy. They're going through it and they're, you know,
24:19
Speaker 1: going to try and cause as much confusion and cast
24:23
Speaker 1: as much doubt over each and every claim made by Virginia.
24:30
Speaker 1: He also submitted 11 defenses calling for the case to
24:33
Speaker 1: be dismissed, including that Ms. Roberts claims she should be
24:37
Speaker 1: barred by her own wrongful conduct and unclean hands. His
24:42
Speaker 1: decision to go ahead with the case puts him in
24:45
Speaker 1: contravention with the royal family who, sources say, are desperate
24:49
Speaker 1: for him to settle and avoid the spectacle of a
24:52
Speaker 1: trial in New York later this year during the Queen's
24:55
Speaker 1: Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Well, look, we all know he's a
24:59
Speaker 1: me-first MF-er. He don't care about the royal family. He
25:02
Speaker 1: don't care about the Queen. He cares about himself. And
25:06
Speaker 1: showing it here. Oh yeah, let me get a jury
25:09
Speaker 1: trial in the middle of my mom's Jubilee celebration. At
25:13
Speaker 1: the same time, hey mom, you got a few bucks
25:15
Speaker 1: for me to, you know, pay for this trial maybe,
25:17
Speaker 1: you know, behind the scenes? The guy is an absolute dunce,
25:23
Speaker 1: a clown, a moron, you name it, he's all of it.
25:27
Speaker 1: I've never seen a more reprehensible jerk-off maybe ever in
25:32
Speaker 1: my whole life. A grifter of epic proportions. A man
25:37
Speaker 1: who's never worked a real day in his life. Running around.
25:41
Speaker 1: Talking about how other people don't have clean hands. Absolutely gross.
25:46
Speaker 1: The way him and Brettler and Singer and Lavely and
25:50
Speaker 1: the rest of the company here. Continue to victim blame
25:55
Speaker 1: and victim shame. Same way they did it when they
25:57
Speaker 1: were working for Weinstein. And for Bill Cosby as well.
26:01
Speaker 1: They have a history. of defending their clients in such
26:05
Speaker 1: a manner. A source said Andrew is on a collision
26:08
Speaker 1: course with the palace over this. Earlier this month, the
26:12
Speaker 1: Queen swiftly and ruthlessly forced Andrew to step down from
26:16
Speaker 1: his remaining royal patronages and demanded he fight the case
26:19
Speaker 1: as a private citizen. So could this be Andrew slapping
26:23
Speaker 1: back at the royal family, saying, all right, you want
26:25
Speaker 1: to abandon me? You want to leave me out here
26:28
Speaker 1: for the sharks and the wolves, if you will? then fine,
26:32
Speaker 1: I'm going to pursue this and look for a jury trial,
26:35
Speaker 1: and I don't care what kind of fallout there is
26:37
Speaker 1: on the rest of you. I don't care what the
26:39
Speaker 1: royal family looks like, or if they get drugged through
26:42
Speaker 1: the mud. All that matters is me. Certainly could be
26:46
Speaker 1: the position that he's taking. Andrew had not officially responded
26:52
Speaker 1: to the 73-point civil claim, as his lawyers almost immediately
26:56
Speaker 1: applied to a New York judge for it to be
26:58
Speaker 1: thrown out. That was dismissed earlier this month, meaning he
27:02
Speaker 1: now needs to formally answer the accusations against him, including
27:06
Speaker 1: claims that Ms. Roberts, suing him under her married name,
27:09
Speaker 1: was trafficked to him by his friend, pedophile Jeffrey Epstein,
27:13
Speaker 1: and forced to have sex with the Duke on three
27:15
Speaker 1: occasions when she was 17. And let me be very clear, right?
27:19
Speaker 1: It makes it even more gross when someone is underage,
27:23
Speaker 1: and it's the most draconian and horrible crime you can
27:26
Speaker 1: commit is when you commit one against a child. But
27:29
Speaker 1: if you're trafficking anybody, human being, woman, man, I don't
27:33
Speaker 1: care what it is, you're a piece of garbage. There
27:36
Speaker 1: is no place, especially in the 21st century, for there
27:41
Speaker 1: to be any humans in any kind of bondage. She
27:53
Speaker 1: says this amounts to rape, sexual assault, and battery as
27:56
Speaker 1: she seeks unspecified damages thought to be in the millions
27:59
Speaker 1: of pounds. Andrew's eight admissions were limited to information already public,
28:05
Speaker 1: such as that he is a UK citizen and resides
28:08
Speaker 1: at Royal Lodge on the Windsor Estate. He admits his
28:12
Speaker 1: walk with Epstein in Central Park in 2010 and staying
28:16
Speaker 1: at the Pedophile's Manhattan Mansion on the same trip, both
28:19
Speaker 1: caught on camera. But his rebuttal of Ms. Roberts' complaint,
28:23
Speaker 1: Andrew denies he ever sexually abused her and refuses to
28:26
Speaker 1: admit or deny her assertions that she was a victim
28:30
Speaker 1: of Epstein. So this is how out of touch this
28:33
Speaker 1: man is, alright? Not only did Virginia settle with Epstein personally,
28:38
Speaker 1: his estate paid her out as well. And the law
28:42
Speaker 1: believes her so much that they're using her testimony to
28:45
Speaker 1: go after Maxwell for perjury charges. Now, what do you
28:49
Speaker 1: think a jury is going to do when they get
28:52
Speaker 1: all of the pertinent information and they have Bozo the Clown,
28:55
Speaker 1: the Prince of Nothing, Joe Exotic of the Windsor family
28:58
Speaker 1: with that dumb vapid look on his face staring at them?
29:02
Speaker 1: How do you think this is all going to work out?
29:04
Speaker 1: And by the way, this is going to be an
29:05
Speaker 1: American jury, by the way. He even, quite remarkably, given
29:13
Speaker 1: photographic evidence of their relationship over the years, denies being
29:17
Speaker 1: a close friend of Epstein's girlfriend. What? Girlfriend? You mean co-conspirator?
29:21
Speaker 1: General all-around scumbag? Fellow child abuser? Ghislaine Maxwell? And now
29:25
Speaker 1: convicted trafficker, Ghislaine Maxwell. Well, we know that's a lie
29:29
Speaker 1: as well. Obviously, he was hanging out and hanging tough
29:33
Speaker 1: with Ghislaine Maxwell, with Jeffrey Epstein. There's pictures of them
29:37
Speaker 1: at Bal Immoral with the Queen. Not with the Queen,
29:41
Speaker 1: but where the Queen, you know, goes as one of
29:43
Speaker 1: her retreats. There's pictures of Epstein, Maxwell. For Andrew to
29:47
Speaker 1: act like he was not close to Ghislaine Maxwell and
29:50
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein is a joke. And it just shows you
29:53
Speaker 1: the kind of liar that we're dealing with. Who flies
29:56
Speaker 1: across the Atlantic Ocean... To go and break up with
29:59
Speaker 1: another dude, I know I've said this a million times,
30:02
Speaker 1: that you're not even in a romantic relationship with. If
30:05
Speaker 1: they were, you know, a boyfriend, if it was his boyfriend,
30:07
Speaker 1: all right, I get it. You want to go break
30:08
Speaker 1: up in person. He's supposed to be your friend and
30:11
Speaker 1: he's a pedophile. And you mean to tell us that
30:14
Speaker 1: you flew across the pond to break up with somebody
30:16
Speaker 1: that you're not even close to? It defies reason. Andrew's
30:24
Speaker 1: legal team also reject Ms. Roberts' accusations that he has
30:27
Speaker 1: refused to cooperate with U.S. authorities in their investigation of
30:31
Speaker 1: Epstein and his co-conspirators, despite officials claiming he has done
30:35
Speaker 1: just that. It's not Virginia claiming this, by the way, folks, okay?
30:38
Speaker 1: It's the authorities. The actual Justice Department, the people, you know,
30:43
Speaker 1: prosecuting this case, they're the ones who have said, That
30:46
Speaker 1: old stupid over here has not helped one bit. That
30:49
Speaker 1: he has not done the honorable thing and talked to
30:52
Speaker 1: the authorities. Maybe you should put on the right kit.
30:55
Speaker 1: What's your snitching kit look like, Prince Andrew? Andrew makes
31:01
Speaker 1: clear he continues to dispute Ms. Roberts as a resident
31:04
Speaker 1: in the state of Colorado, which allows her to bring
31:07
Speaker 1: the case in the U.S. Now a 38-year-old mother of three,
31:11
Speaker 1: she lives in Perth, Australia, and has understood Andrew's legal
31:15
Speaker 1: team still intend to pursue this in a bid to
31:17
Speaker 1: get the case thrown out. That's really what it comes
31:20
Speaker 1: down to. Remember that, folks. It's all about the loopholes.
31:23
Speaker 1: It's all about the technicalities. How dare you sit here
31:27
Speaker 1: and act like she is not a citizen of the
31:28
Speaker 1: United States of America? Because she lives in Australia. She
31:31
Speaker 1: was born here, right? She's an American. And the American
31:36
Speaker 1: justice system should have its say. Regarding associations with Epstein,
31:41
Speaker 1: the royal admits he met him in or around 1999,
31:46
Speaker 1: but rejects that Maxwell was a close friend, and claims
31:48
Speaker 1: he lacked sufficient information to deny or confirm they were
31:52
Speaker 1: photographed at numerous social events together. I mean, really. All
31:56
Speaker 1: you have to do is look at the pictures. Was
31:58
Speaker 1: it you or not? Or I guess all of the
31:59
Speaker 1: pictures are fake, right? Everybody's out to get you, old
32:03
Speaker 1: Prince of Nothing. Bitch-ass Prince Andrew. You sorry excuse for
32:08
Speaker 1: a human being. Disgraceful ass. He says he cannot admit
32:13
Speaker 1: or deny flight logs put him on Epstein's private jet
32:16
Speaker 1: or that he visited his private island. He confirms Epstein
32:19
Speaker 1: and Maxwell attended his 40th birthday party in 2000, but
32:23
Speaker 1: denies throwing Maxwell a party... at the Sandringham estate that year.
32:27
Speaker 1: I'm sure he does. Deny, deny, deny, deny. And there's
32:31
Speaker 1: still people that believe this shit? I mean, honestly? Who
32:34
Speaker 1: would believe this dude? If I came into this case cold,
32:38
Speaker 1: and I had no idea about anything, and you gave
32:41
Speaker 1: me just, you know, his portion of it, and let
32:43
Speaker 1: me watch that interview with Emily Maitlis, I'd come away
32:46
Speaker 1: thinking he was a lying prick. Andrew says he lacks
32:53
Speaker 1: sufficient evidence to confirm or deny if photographic evidence of
32:56
Speaker 1: this alleged meeting with Roberts even exists. I mean, it's
33:01
Speaker 1: insulting at this point. If you're not insulted by this,
33:04
Speaker 1: I don't know what to say to you. This man
33:07
Speaker 1: thinks you're stupid. His legal team thinks you're stupid. And
33:10
Speaker 1: he doesn't think we've been following it the way we
33:12
Speaker 1: have been. Well, my friend, you're in big trouble here.
33:16
Speaker 1: Everything you're talking about is a lie, basically. In my opinion,
33:20
Speaker 1: you haven't been truthful one bit here. So why should
33:22
Speaker 1: we believe anything you have to say? It lacks sufficient
33:25
Speaker 1: evidence to confirm or deny. Bro, that is you in
33:28
Speaker 1: the picture. I can't wait till he's in court with
33:31
Speaker 1: this jury trial he's looking for so that he's under oath.
33:35
Speaker 1: And when they ask him, is that you in the picture?
33:37
Speaker 1: He has to answer. He also claims he has insufficient
33:44
Speaker 1: information to know if he sent emails to Maxwell saying
33:47
Speaker 1: he had some specific questions to ask about Virginia Roberts
33:51
Speaker 1: in 2015. Well, we know that's BS, too, because I
33:54
Speaker 1: just uploaded that episode earlier on. Look, folks, everything that
34:01
Speaker 1: he's talking about when he's answering these allegations against him
34:05
Speaker 1: is pretty much BS, in my opinion. And if you
34:08
Speaker 1: go back and you just look at all of the
34:09
Speaker 1: information that's out there in the public sphere... It's all BS.
34:14
Speaker 1: So I don't know what his legal team's up to here.
34:16
Speaker 1: I don't know which way they think they're going, but
34:19
Speaker 1: unless they get this thrown out on a loophole or
34:21
Speaker 1: a technicality, they're in big trouble, especially if it's a
34:25
Speaker 1: jury trial. Friends of his had suggested the infamous picture
34:31
Speaker 1: could have been doctored. He also claims he has insufficient information. Oh,
34:35
Speaker 1: we passed that, excuse me. If he sent those emails.
34:38
Speaker 1: His submission concludes with additional defense claims saying the case
34:43
Speaker 1: should be dismissed for reasons including Miss Roberts signed away
34:46
Speaker 1: a right to sue in a legal agreement with Epstein
34:49
Speaker 1: and accusations she also helped to procure victims for Epstein
34:53
Speaker 1: amounted to wrongful conduct and the doctrine of unclean hands.
34:57
Speaker 1: So basically what they're saying And I'll just be straight
35:00
Speaker 1: up with you is that Virginia Roberts is part of
35:03
Speaker 1: Epstein's network and Andrew, he's the one who's a victim here.
35:06
Speaker 1: That's what they're trying to set up. And boy, oh boy,
35:09
Speaker 1: it's going to, I can't wait to watch this fizzle gloriously.
35:14
Speaker 1: All right, because that's what's going to happen. Nobody's going
35:16
Speaker 1: to buy this. In fact, they're going to be mocked
35:19
Speaker 1: universally for this strategy. That's my prediction. But David Boies, Ms.
35:25
Speaker 1: Roberts' attorney, last night said, Prince Andrew's answer continues his
35:29
Speaker 1: approach of denying any knowledge or information concerning the claims
35:33
Speaker 1: against him and purporting to blame the victim of the
35:35
Speaker 1: abuse for somehow bringing it on herself. The Duke of
35:39
Speaker 1: York's official rebuttal comes after a motion to dismiss the
35:42
Speaker 1: case on a legal technicality at the beginning of January
35:46
Speaker 1: was denied and could see Prince Andrew himself take the
35:49
Speaker 1: stand in New York to argue his case in front
35:52
Speaker 1: of jurors. Yo, that will be can't miss TV. Imagine
35:57
Speaker 1: this big buffoon sitting in front of a jury. Oh,
36:01
Speaker 1: forget it. It'll be a wrap. I mean, the ratings
36:05
Speaker 1: alone on TV will be insane. Legal experts had predicted
36:14
Speaker 1: Andrew would seek a settlement after the Queen stripped him
36:16
Speaker 1: of his military roles, widely seen as the monarchy distancing
36:20
Speaker 1: itself from any potentially damaging developments. But Andrew has taken
36:25
Speaker 1: the dramatic decision to face his accuser in court and
36:28
Speaker 1: become the first member of the modern royal family to
36:31
Speaker 1: submit to being cross-examined over serious allegations. Now, again, this
36:36
Speaker 1: is where I wish that someone like Glockta from the
36:41
Speaker 1: Joe Abercrombie books, First Law Trilogy, would be the interrogator here.
36:47
Speaker 1: Because I want whoever the interrogator is to go hard
36:51
Speaker 1: on this dude. All kinds of hard questions. No softball
36:54
Speaker 1: questions at all. But Andrew has taken the dramatic decision
37:02
Speaker 1: to face his accuser in court and become the first
37:04
Speaker 1: member of the modern royal family to submit to being
37:07
Speaker 1: cross-examined over serious allegations. Roberts... filed a civil suit against
37:12
Speaker 1: Prince Andrew in August 2021, in which he formally accused
37:16
Speaker 1: the royal of sexual abuse while she was being trafficked
37:20
Speaker 1: by the pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Over 15 pages of court
37:23
Speaker 1: documents filed at New York Southern District Court, Roberts claimed
37:27
Speaker 1: that the Duke of York committed sexual assault and battery
37:30
Speaker 1: against her while she was age 17, requesting that a
37:34
Speaker 1: judge award punitive damages for the physical and psychological injuries
37:39
Speaker 1: that she suffered. Boyce went on to say his client
37:42
Speaker 1: and legal team were anticipating confronting the royal about his denials.
37:46
Speaker 1: I can't wait. Again, I just can't wait for this
37:48
Speaker 1: to happen. Finally, after all of these years, this is
37:51
Speaker 1: what I've been calling for. Let's get a full investigation
37:53
Speaker 1: here and let's get to the bottom of all of this.
37:56
Speaker 1: Why is the Duke of York so adverse to all
37:59
Speaker 1: of that? Submit all relevant documents, submit yourself for questioning,
38:03
Speaker 1: and let's move on here, pal. We look forward to
38:06
Speaker 1: confronting Prince Andrew with his denials and attempts to blame Ms.
38:09
Speaker 1: Roberts for her own abuse at his deposition and at trial.
38:14
Speaker 1: Roberts asserted that she met Andrew while she traveled frequently
38:17
Speaker 1: with Epstein between 2000 and 2002 when her lawyers maintained
38:21
Speaker 1: she was on call for Epstein for sexual purposes and
38:25
Speaker 1: was lent out to other powerful men, including Andrew. And
38:29
Speaker 1: we all know that story. We all know the men
38:32
Speaker 1: that Virginia has said that she has been passed around
38:36
Speaker 1: to while she was being trafficked. And it's a list
38:39
Speaker 1: of a who's who of business and political shakers. And
38:43
Speaker 1: it's pathetic that none of these people as well are
38:46
Speaker 1: being called out, being put on the carpet. She accuses
38:51
Speaker 1: Andrew of sexually abusing her at the London home of
38:53
Speaker 1: Maxwell at Epstein's New York mansion and Epstein's private Island,
38:57
Speaker 1: little St. James. Her lawsuit said she still suffers significant
39:02
Speaker 1: emotional and psychological distress and harm. I mean, you think?
39:06
Speaker 1: After all that she's been through and is still going through,
39:09
Speaker 1: and with the clown still going after her personally and
39:13
Speaker 1: trying to drag her name through the mud, of course
39:15
Speaker 1: she's still suffering through all sorts of stuff. But guess what?
39:20
Speaker 1: She's still showing up to the party, right? She's still
39:22
Speaker 1: here ready to go and take these people on. And
39:26
Speaker 1: that's some serious stuff right there. That's takes bravery to
39:29
Speaker 1: do that. These are not meek men. These are not
39:32
Speaker 1: men that are used to people pushing back. Her lawsuit,
39:36
Speaker 1: excuse me, Epstein, 66, took his own life, allegedly, in
39:40
Speaker 1: August 2019, while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. But.
39:45
Speaker 1: There is widespread speculation that he was murdered while in
39:48
Speaker 1: custody to prevent him from compromising powerful individuals in the U.S.
39:53
Speaker 1: and abroad thought to be associated with him. Now again, look,
39:57
Speaker 1: I don't know what happened in that jail cell. I
39:59
Speaker 1: wasn't there. I'll say it a million times and a
40:02
Speaker 1: million more times. I don't know what happened. But I
40:05
Speaker 1: will tell you this. The official narrative does not line up.
40:09
Speaker 1: The stuff that they're telling us and the nonsense that
40:12
Speaker 1: they're pushing on us with their narrative certainly doesn't line
40:15
Speaker 1: up to me. So I'm going to I would need
40:17
Speaker 1: to see a full accounting, right, full transparency from the
40:20
Speaker 1: government here. And we certainly have not gotten that ever.
40:26
Speaker 1: Media lawyer Mark Stevens said the upcoming trial of Andrew
40:30
Speaker 1: and the legal proceedings before it will overshadow the Queen's
40:33
Speaker 1: Platinum Jubilee and threaten the existence of the monarchy. Again,
40:38
Speaker 1: I know there's a lot of people out there that
40:39
Speaker 1: think I'm crazy when I say this, and maybe it's
40:42
Speaker 1: just me being, you know, not as locked in with
40:46
Speaker 1: the monarchy as I should be or whatever, but... If
40:49
Speaker 1: this is the case and Andrew goes on trial here
40:53
Speaker 1: and he is completely and utterly embarrassed and embarrasses the monarchy,
40:57
Speaker 1: I think it's the beginning of the end. Now, look,
41:00
Speaker 1: I don't live over in the UK. I'm not a
41:03
Speaker 1: subject of the crown. I'm not part of the traditions.
41:06
Speaker 1: And I understand that there are people out there who
41:09
Speaker 1: are into all of that stuff. And I'm not trying
41:11
Speaker 1: to demean that, right? I'm just saying as an outsider
41:15
Speaker 1: looking in, it does not look good. And when you
41:18
Speaker 1: take the temperature of the room of just about anybody
41:22
Speaker 1: I talk to, everybody says the same thing, that it's
41:24
Speaker 1: such an archaic situation to have a monarchy. I can't
41:33
Speaker 1: conceive the royal family will allow him to run this
41:35
Speaker 1: case and overshadow the platinum jubilee, Stephen said. It's going
41:39
Speaker 1: to spark a debate about the relevancy and appropriateness of
41:42
Speaker 1: the royal family. And we've already seen that they've moved
41:46
Speaker 1: very fast to strip him of his titles. And that
41:49
Speaker 1: debate abated. But the more detail that comes out, the
41:53
Speaker 1: more there's going to be a problem for the wider
41:55
Speaker 1: royal family. And I agree with that. I've been saying
41:58
Speaker 1: that for how long? And I can't see any other
42:03
Speaker 1: pathway for them. I can't see how the royal family
42:06
Speaker 1: avoids being as... you know, a light as Fukushima with
42:14
Speaker 1: the fallout they're going to be glowing in. A trial
42:17
Speaker 1: with the whole world watching and this dude being put
42:19
Speaker 1: on blast for all of his behavior. Commenting on lurid
42:23
Speaker 1: details that may emerge from the trial, Stevens said, for example,
42:27
Speaker 1: questions will be asked of Virginia Roberts about the prince's body,
42:31
Speaker 1: any marks, his performance, what positions were adopted, every detail
42:35
Speaker 1: that is conceivable to ask, and then that will be
42:38
Speaker 1: put to Andrew, there's no doubt. Just like Jeffrey Epstein
42:41
Speaker 1: and the egg-shaped penis and all of that stuff, you're
42:44
Speaker 1: about to be put on blast, homie. Get ready. He
42:48
Speaker 1: speculated the Duke may still pull back from a trial
42:51
Speaker 1: to avoid the legal spectacle, which could damage the standing
42:54
Speaker 1: of the monarchy in the Queen's Platinum Jubilee year. And again,
42:57
Speaker 1: back to the Queen, the Queen, the Queen. Oh, you know,
43:00
Speaker 1: I don't really care about the Queen, to be honest
43:04
Speaker 1: with you. I care about these survivors getting justice. He
43:09
Speaker 1: said the reason we think he's got to settle is
43:11
Speaker 1: because of the timing. Essentially, this case is going to
43:14
Speaker 1: take up the rest of this year. And if it
43:16
Speaker 1: takes up the rest of this year, that's the whole
43:19
Speaker 1: of his mother's Platinum Jubilee. The only thing he could
43:22
Speaker 1: have done to stop this getting worse is to have
43:24
Speaker 1: pulled the case and stopped it in some way so
43:28
Speaker 1: there was no alternative news. This is going to be
43:31
Speaker 1: crippling if he really is dead set on running this
43:33
Speaker 1: to a trial. Look, he's flirting with disaster here. He's
43:38
Speaker 1: always been somebody who likes to talk with a lot
43:40
Speaker 1: of hubris, though, with a lot of, oh, I'm going
43:43
Speaker 1: to do this or I'm going to do that, and
43:45
Speaker 1: then nothing to back it up. So this might just
43:47
Speaker 1: be one of those same situations where they're trying to
43:51
Speaker 1: floss a bit. Prince Andrew's official rebuttal of Robert's claims
44:01
Speaker 1: comes just weeks after the Queen stripped him of his
44:04
Speaker 1: honorary titles, meaning he can no longer be referred to
44:07
Speaker 1: as his Royal Highness in any capacity. Yeah, the Prince
44:11
Speaker 1: of Nothing now. Andrew, who remains Duke of York, also
44:15
Speaker 1: loses his military titles and royal patronages with the Queen's
44:18
Speaker 1: approval and agreement, Buckingham Palace said in a terse statement
44:22
Speaker 1: that brought his 61 years as a senior royal to
44:25
Speaker 1: a shock end. a shock end to people who might
44:27
Speaker 1: not have been paying attention. This should have happened a
44:30
Speaker 1: long time ago, the second Epstein was arrested, at the
44:33
Speaker 1: least the second time this should have happened. The Queen's
44:36
Speaker 1: decision made on January 13th followed the day after Andrews'
44:40
Speaker 1: motion to have the case against him dismissed on a
44:43
Speaker 1: legal technicality was unequivocally thrown out by a U.S. judge.
44:48
Speaker 1: Judge Lewis Kaplan sensation sensationally dismissed an application from the
44:52
Speaker 1: Duke of York's lawyers to have the case shut down,
44:55
Speaker 1: freeing Miss Roberts to pursue her high profile case in
44:59
Speaker 1: a U.S. court later this year. And that's how it
45:01
Speaker 1: should be. Let's get it in court. Let's get it
45:04
Speaker 1: all laid out and let's see what's what. Can we
45:08
Speaker 1: finally pull the curtain back and get a look into
45:11
Speaker 1: the room, please? Andrew's attorneys had unsuccessfully argued that her
45:17
Speaker 1: case should have been thrown out because of a newly
45:20
Speaker 1: unsealed $ 500, 000 settlement with Jeffrey Epstein. Brettler argued the settlement
45:25
Speaker 1: protected Andrew because it contained a clause in which Roberts
45:28
Speaker 1: agreed not to take legal action against potential defendants. And again,
45:33
Speaker 1: are you admitting that your client is a potential defendant?
45:35
Speaker 1: What are you doing here? I don't get the strategy.
45:38
Speaker 1: Can somebody direct me to the Lawyers for Dummies book
45:41
Speaker 1: so I can catch up? But Judge Kaplan said the
45:47
Speaker 1: court was not able to consider the Duke's efforts to
45:50
Speaker 1: cast doubt on Roberts' claims or whether he was covered
45:54
Speaker 1: by the settlement agreement, suggesting these were issues for a trial.
45:58
Speaker 1: He said the 2009 agreement cannot be said to demonstrate
46:03
Speaker 1: clearly and unambiguously the parties intended the instrument directly, primarily
46:08
Speaker 1: or substantially to benefit Prince Andrew. the defendant's motion to
46:13
Speaker 1: dismiss the complaint or for a more definite statement is
46:17
Speaker 1: denied in all respects. So there's no wiggle room there, right?
46:20
Speaker 1: Judge Kaplan forcefully denied all of it, told him to
46:23
Speaker 1: kick rocks, come back with a better strategy if that's
46:26
Speaker 1: what you want to do, but this isn't going to work.
46:32
Speaker 1: Earlier this month, Sources close to the Duke confirmed that
46:35
Speaker 1: he was selling his luxurious chalet in the exclusive Swiss
46:39
Speaker 1: ski resort of Verbier after a mystery buyer agreed to
46:42
Speaker 1: take it off his hands. Mystery buyer, huh? Sure, it's
46:46
Speaker 1: probably one of these arms dealers that always swoop in
46:48
Speaker 1: to save the day when we're talking about Prince Andrew.
46:54
Speaker 1: Andrew was only able to sell the residence, called Chalet Halora,
46:58
Speaker 1: after settling a $ 6. 6 million pound debt to French socialite
47:03
Speaker 1: Isabelle something or other, 74, who sold it to him
47:07
Speaker 1: in Sarah Ferguson in 2004 for 18 million pounds. The
47:12
Speaker 1: deal led to speculation that he would use the money
47:14
Speaker 1: to pay his rapidly expanding legal bills as he prepares
47:18
Speaker 1: to battle the lawsuit of Roberts, who claims she was
47:21
Speaker 1: trafficked to have sex with him by pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
47:29
Speaker 1: But Spencer Coven, who represented the survivors of Epstein, believes
47:33
Speaker 1: the sale could be actually designed to prevent Roberts from
47:36
Speaker 1: seizing the Duke's assets. The lawyer told the Mirror, if
47:39
Speaker 1: Virginia gets a judgment against Andrew, if this went all
47:42
Speaker 1: the way through to trial and she received a financial
47:45
Speaker 1: judgment in her favor, she could execute on any properties
47:48
Speaker 1: he has, the most likely being his ski chalet. If
47:52
Speaker 1: Andrew had properties in any companion country that would abide
47:55
Speaker 1: by such jurisdiction of the U.S., she can execute on
47:58
Speaker 1: those properties as well. He added, if the queen transferred
48:02
Speaker 1: any property to him anywhere throughout the entire world, they
48:05
Speaker 1: can try and execute on that property if successful in
48:08
Speaker 1: foreign courts. Andrew agreed that the chalet would be paid
48:12
Speaker 1: for in installments. But it was agreed that the York,
48:16
Speaker 1: it was, excuse me, claimed that the Yorks failed to
48:19
Speaker 1: make the final installment of five million, resulting in in
48:23
Speaker 1: a legal action being launched against him in the Swiss
48:26
Speaker 1: courts two years ago for the amount it was owed,
48:28
Speaker 1: plus interest, which came to a combined 6.6 million pounds.
48:33
Speaker 1: Under Swiss law, he was prevented from selling the chalet
48:37
Speaker 1: until the matter had been resolved. Now that Andrew has
48:40
Speaker 1: paid the final installment and attached interest for the house,
48:44
Speaker 1: he is now expected to sell the property in a
48:46
Speaker 1: matter of weeks. So there you have it. Andrew hitting back,
48:51
Speaker 1: acting like the fool he's always been, and thinking that
48:55
Speaker 1: he's going to posture here and maybe try and win
48:59
Speaker 1: some public support. I don't know what he's thinking. But
49:02
Speaker 1: the strategy that they have shown thus far seems to
49:05
Speaker 1: be a losing one, folks. And they continue on this
49:08
Speaker 1: collision course. They're going to be finding themselves in the
49:11
Speaker 1: same exact position again. that Ghislaine Maxwell finds herself, maybe
49:16
Speaker 1: not in jail, but on the losing end of a lawsuit.
49:21
Speaker 1: So we'll see where it goes and we'll see what
49:24
Speaker 1: sort of response comes from Virginia's team, but I expect
49:28
Speaker 1: them to respond forcefully. So we'll have to see what
49:32
Speaker 1: happens and what they come up with. But Prince Andrew
49:36
Speaker 1: is finding himself in a more... you know, dangerous position
49:40
Speaker 1: as the days go by. And the more information that
49:43
Speaker 1: comes out, the more difficult it's going to be for
49:47
Speaker 1: him to defend his name and the ridiculous claims that
49:52
Speaker 1: he's making. All right, folks, it's going to do it
49:55
Speaker 1: for tonight's episode. I will be back tomorrow morning as
49:58
Speaker 1: usual and some context episodes coming your way. If you'd
