- 0:03Speaker 1: Welcome into off the bench oh you're scary we're bringing
- 0:08Speaker 1: you the spookiest sports talk in town with jacob hester
- 0:14Speaker 1: and terrifying and terrible live.
- 0:18Speaker 2: From the haunted raising canes.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Studio here's jacob hester and.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Yo and welcome in to OTB live from Rouse's Burbank
- 0:38Speaker 3: and Lee Jake.
- 0:39Speaker 4: And Flynn here Alondra and.
- 0:41Speaker 3: Tay Tay back in the Raising Cane studio.
- 0:43Speaker 2: In downtown Baton Rouge.
- 0:45Speaker 3: It's Friday it's a football Friday Moose is here with
- 0:48Speaker 3: us as well.
- 0:52Speaker 4: He was the most chipper to be here this.
- 0:53Speaker 5: Morning yeah he was he was on one for sure
- 0:56Speaker 5: yeah he came morning did you tell me he was
- 0:58Speaker 5: skipping as he came in here He was.
- 1:01Speaker 2: He did one of those, like, leprechaun heel kicks. Yeah.
- 1:05Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:08Speaker 2: No. No, he aged more. He didn't. He wasn't excited
- 1:10Speaker 2: at all.
- 1:11Speaker 5: But everybody else here at Rouse's was fired up. I
- 1:14Speaker 5: could tell it was a football Friday when I walked
- 1:16Speaker 5: in here.
- 1:16Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 1:17Speaker 5: It's just something about the vibes that I was getting
- 1:20Speaker 5: from everybody that works here at Rouse's. There was about
- 1:22Speaker 5: 45 people here when I showed up at 630. My
- 1:26Speaker 5: guy at the sushi bar, old Sushi Joe over there,
- 1:29Speaker 5: he beat me. He doesn't beat me every time, but
- 1:33Speaker 5: he got me today. He was already sorting out the
- 1:36Speaker 5: seaweed wraps.
- 1:37Speaker 3: Well, he realized that it's an 11 a.m. kickoff tomorrow,
- 1:42Speaker 3: and then he had to be probably a little bit early.
- 1:44Speaker 3: People are going to get their day started today, tomorrow,
- 1:47Speaker 3: a little bit earlier. So I think he kind of
- 1:49Speaker 3: understood the assignment a little bit.
- 1:51Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm excited. They actually got the breakfast bar loaded
- 1:54Speaker 5: and ready to roll already a little bit early today.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Usually it's not until about 7.30, 7.45. Yeah.
- 2:00Speaker 4: Again.
- 2:00Speaker 2: They knew I was coming. Early kick. Has nothing to
- 2:03Speaker 2: do with you. Anyway, no, it's about me.
- 2:06Speaker 4: Come on. What every quarterback thinks.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Not the ones last night. I was just about to
- 2:13Speaker 2: say the same.
- 2:14Speaker 3: I was trying to find a way to throw shade
- 2:17Speaker 3: at how bad the quarterback play was.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I just, you know, you realize. Great uniform matchup.
- 2:22Speaker 2: It was a fantastic uniform matchup. The Broncos uniforms elite.
- 2:26Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:26Speaker 2: That one is really, really good. The Seahawks is fun.
- 2:30Speaker 2: It's fun. Because it's a throwback. But it's not. It doesn't.
- 2:33Speaker 2: The Broncos uniform dominates it. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. For sure. Yeah,
- 2:37Speaker 2: that was.
- 2:38Speaker 5: I realized how just not as much fun football is
- 2:42Speaker 5: to watch when the quarterback play stinks.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Yeah, true.
- 2:45Speaker 5: Both those quarterbacks sucked last night. Sorry for the language
- 2:48Speaker 5: this early in the morning.
- 2:50Speaker 2: They were terrible.
- 2:51Speaker 4: They were bad.
- 2:52Speaker 2: It was bad. It wasn't.
- 2:53Speaker 4: It was not good.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Like, stupid things. Yeah.
- 3:00Speaker 5: Look, I played some bad quarterbacking in my day. I
- 3:05Speaker 5: feel like I can say that.
- 3:07Speaker 3: Sam Darnold's in an interesting spot. Sam stunk. He's not
- 3:11Speaker 3: been good for a couple weeks.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Put Drew Locke in.
- 3:15Speaker 4: He's been taking sacks, throwing picks.
- 3:18Speaker 3: Not just throwing picks, throwing bad picks. Like the one,
- 3:23Speaker 3: the receiver could have helped him out, Horton on the crosser.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Sure.
- 3:27Speaker 4: He kind of faded a little bit.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Yes, he could have.
- 3:30Speaker 4: But, like, also, even if he falls, it's not a
- 3:32Speaker 4: great throw.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's like, I get it. You got a
- 3:37Speaker 2: ton of confidence in one guy, JSN. And he wasn't
- 3:41Speaker 2: thrown into him on that one.
- 3:43Speaker 5: But it's the NFL. Like, you can't just have confidence
- 3:47Speaker 5: in one person. You have to work the offense. You
- 3:52Speaker 5: have to, like, you got to let it rip. You
- 3:54Speaker 5: got to hit that back foot. Take a hitch up
- 3:56Speaker 5: and throw it. Now, I get it. Like, Denver's defense
- 4:00Speaker 5: is good, and they were playing at home.
- 4:01Speaker 2: I'm sure there's a lot of energy, and I'm sure
- 4:03Speaker 2: they were ready to roll. I get it.
- 4:06Speaker 5: But still, you are the reigning Super Bowl champions. You
- 4:11Speaker 5: were in MVP talks last season.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Like, you can't.
- 4:15Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 4:16Speaker 2: Is he seeing ghosts again? That was him. It is
- 4:19Speaker 2: spooky season. And that was him that saw them ghost. Yeah.
- 4:23Speaker 4: When he was with the Jets.
- 4:24Speaker 5: You might see a new category next week in the
- 4:26Speaker 5: quarterback rankings.
- 4:28Speaker 4: Go see her?
- 4:29Speaker 2: Man, save it.
- 4:29Speaker 4: Summer Askin.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Summer Askin.
- 4:33Speaker 4: Seattle 3-3.
- 4:34Speaker 2: They feel so much better than that. It's Denver 3-3 now, too? Yeah. No.
- 4:40Speaker 2: They're 4-2. 4-2. Bo would much better on the other hand.
- 4:44Speaker 4: No, no, no.
- 4:45Speaker 2: Bo tried to lose it.
- 4:46Speaker 4: Bo's been bad.
- 4:47Speaker 5: Bo tried to lose that game. Yeah, he's been bad.
- 4:49Speaker 5: I know there's a lot of Bo haters around here.
- 4:51Speaker 5: We defended Bo for a while. But he's been bad
- 4:54Speaker 5: this season. There was a couple of drives he looked
- 4:59Speaker 5: good and played well. But it's got to be frustrating
- 5:04Speaker 5: for Sean Payton to watch his quarterback go out there
- 5:07Speaker 5: and play like that. You're trying to lose the game.
- 5:10Speaker 5: They're setting up a field goal. to win it at
- 5:13Speaker 5: the end, I think damn near throws an interception when
- 5:16Speaker 5: he just.
- 5:19Speaker 2: I'm trying to run out the clock. I know.
- 5:21Speaker 3: It's... This year more than ever in the NFL feels
- 5:27Speaker 3: like it is so hard to predict who's actually really good,
- 5:33Speaker 3: who's bad, who's somewhere in the middle.
- 5:35Speaker 4: We'll think a team's really good.
- 5:37Speaker 3: And then they'll be horrendous for two weeks. We'll think
- 5:39Speaker 3: of a team that's horrendous for two weeks is bad,
- 5:41Speaker 3: and then they'll be world beaters for the next two weeks.
- 5:44Speaker 2: I know.
- 5:45Speaker 4: Like the Patriots.
- 5:47Speaker 6: I know.
- 5:48Speaker 2: I don't know. It really makes our job pretty tough here. Oh,
- 5:51Speaker 2: my God.
- 5:51Speaker 5: Because we've got to go call it like we see
- 5:53Speaker 5: it and be like, that was bad play. I don't
- 5:55Speaker 5: think he's very good. Then all of a sudden, he's
- 5:58Speaker 5: awesome the next week. You're like, well, look how dumb
- 6:00Speaker 5: you are.
- 6:01Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 6:01Speaker 5: And then Tyler Shuck was playing great. I'm like, this
- 6:03Speaker 5: guy's one of the top guys in the league. He
- 6:05Speaker 5: threw for 96 yards, you know.
- 6:07Speaker 2: That's right. And it's like, okay, well, whatever. You just
- 6:12Speaker 2: got to let it rip. Let them fly. Let the
- 6:14Speaker 2: opinions fly, buddy.
- 6:15Speaker 3: Basically, everybody this year is the Jameis experience, but just
- 6:19Speaker 3: as a team.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Yeah, except for the good ones, except for the elite ones. Yeah,
- 6:22Speaker 2: as a team. That's right.
- 6:24Speaker 4: Except for the 49ers, the Chiefs, the Jags.
- 6:30Speaker 5: And but they still got time they got they still
- 6:33Speaker 5: got time to become to come boo-boo yes a lot
- 6:38Speaker 5: of football left.
- 6:40Speaker 4: But there is.
- 6:42Speaker 3: But it's also does it look like it's going to
- 6:44Speaker 3: define itself like again like i talk nfl every day
- 6:49Speaker 3: for three hours in the afternoons and It's like you
- 6:52Speaker 3: can sit there and praise somebody for two weeks, and
- 6:54Speaker 3: then the third and fourth week, they just show up,
- 6:56Speaker 3: and it's like, man, it's like the Monstars come down
- 6:58Speaker 3: and took their powers.
- 6:59Speaker 2: I know, right? Like, what the hell's going on?
- 7:01Speaker 5: Yeah, that was the frustrating part about it, because the
- 7:04Speaker 5: teams are so good that you saw on the field yesterday,
- 7:06Speaker 5: and they're supposed to be some of the top teams
- 7:09Speaker 5: in the NFL, but to go out there and just
- 7:11Speaker 5: bad quarterback play just made it, for me at least—
- 7:15Speaker 5: And I watched the game differently than, like, a lot
- 7:17Speaker 5: of people.
- 7:17Speaker 2: I get that. But for me, it was a frustrating
- 7:20Speaker 2: game to watch just because of the quarterback play. Well. Oh, well.
- 7:24Speaker 4: Again.
- 7:24Speaker 2: I don't have to watch that game again.
- 7:26Speaker 4: Uniforms look great. Uniforms did look great. They look good.
- 7:29Speaker 2: And guess what? It was better than having no football on.
- 7:33Speaker 2: There was a college game on. It was small. It
- 7:35Speaker 2: was way better than that.
- 7:38Speaker 4: There was a college game.
- 7:39Speaker 2: I don't. It wasn't worth watching.
- 7:41Speaker 6: No.
- 7:42Speaker 3: I'm not going to watch that when the Broncos and
- 7:44Speaker 3: Seahawks are on.
- 7:47Speaker 2: I love college football. Did y'all have a game last night?
- 7:51Speaker 4: No, we were off last night.
- 7:53Speaker 6: Wow.
- 7:54Speaker 4: Yeah, Owen Wilson, wow.
- 7:56Speaker 2: That doesn't happen.
- 7:57Speaker 4: No.
- 7:58Speaker 3: I sort of look around and something's going on.
- 8:01Speaker 2: You got nervous.
- 8:02Speaker 4: I got nervous.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Did we forget about something? Did we forget a child somewhere?
- 8:07Speaker 3: That So it was nice. Went outside in the backyard,
- 8:11Speaker 3: threw the baseball.
- 8:14Speaker 2: With Hud.
- 8:15Speaker 3: Waiting for somebody to come outside and yell, be like,
- 8:17Speaker 3: what are you doing? You got to get out of
- 8:18Speaker 3: the door in 15 minutes.
- 8:21Speaker 4: None of that.
- 8:23Speaker 3: Threw the baseball with him until we got to Thursday
- 8:26Speaker 3: night football. Good for y'all. How was it?
- 8:31Speaker 2: Did you like it? Yeah. Okay, got it. Yes.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Sometimes you get used to the busyness. I don't hate
- 8:39Speaker 3: the business, but I did not hate that either. Some
- 8:41Speaker 3: people hate the quiet, you know. We do have a
- 8:44Speaker 3: varsity game tonight against College 8, as you like to say.
- 8:49Speaker 2: No, it's Collegiate. Collegiate. Sorry. How could I mess that up?
- 8:53Speaker 2: If you're going to make fun of me, at least.
- 8:54Speaker 4: Collegiate.
- 8:55Speaker 2: It's still not a real word. I've never seen this
- 8:59Speaker 2: word before.
- 9:00Speaker 4: Don't know that I'm saying it right.
- 9:02Speaker 2: Yeah. But guess what?
- 9:04Speaker 5: I'm going to let it rip. Looks like I told
- 9:06Speaker 5: you on the chat. Credit to myself for believing in myself.
- 9:09Speaker 4: Look, I was trying to think of syllabus, and I
- 9:11Speaker 4: said syphilis.
- 9:12Speaker 2: It's fine.
- 9:13Speaker 4: Words are hard.
- 9:13Speaker 2: At least you didn't say syphilis.
- 9:16Speaker 4: That's true. Nobody wants that.
- 9:18Speaker 2: Am I right, Moose? Yep.
- 9:20Speaker 6: Right?
- 9:21Speaker 2: Am I right? Thumbs up.
- 9:22Speaker 1: All right.
- 9:22Speaker 2: For sure. Yes.
- 9:24Speaker 4: Yes.
- 9:27Speaker 2: Anyway, what a hot start. We had to talk about
- 9:30Speaker 2: the bad football game again.
- 9:34Speaker 4: I was expecting much more.
- 9:35Speaker 2: And even for like an overtime game, like usually an
- 9:38Speaker 2: overtime game is like, yeah, this is awesome. I was like, ugh, gross.
- 9:41Speaker 2: This is still bad football.
- 9:43Speaker 3: And we have the Seahawks head coach comes on my
- 9:45Speaker 3: afternoon show every week.
- 9:47Speaker 4: Yeah. And he's great. He's been really, really good. It's
- 9:49Speaker 4: like it's hard after a loss.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:53Speaker 3: So the three coaches that we have every single week,
- 9:56Speaker 3: Todd Bowles, Tampa Bay, they were 0-4.
- 9:58Speaker 2: Yeah. Right?
- 10:03Speaker 3: Dan Quinn, after the way they tied that game. And
- 10:09Speaker 3: then Mike McDonald, who is now 3-3. Ask him. Ask
- 10:15Speaker 3: Mike McDonald when he comes on your show. Ask him
- 10:17Speaker 3: if Sam Darnold has some sort of hidden abdominal injury
- 10:22Speaker 3: that we don't know about. Because that's typically the answer
- 10:27Speaker 3: when you can't figure out why?
- 10:28Speaker 2: When you can't figure.
- 10:29Speaker 5: Out why a quarterback's really good, and then all of
- 10:31Speaker 5: a sudden one year he's just not as good.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Okay. And who's their OC? Got you. It's a Sloany boy.
- 10:38Speaker 4: Yeah. No, he's in Kentucky.
- 10:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I know. I saw him. I saw him. I've
- 10:42Speaker 2: seen him everywhere. Hey, he did a nice job.
- 10:45Speaker 4: He did.
- 10:45Speaker 2: Credit where credit's due. He did a very nice job
- 10:46Speaker 2: this past week.
- 10:47Speaker 5: I don't know how much control, you know, whose offense
- 10:49Speaker 5: it is, but credit where credit's due.
- 10:52Speaker 2: If we are going to tear you down, we'll also
- 10:54Speaker 2: build you up.
- 10:55Speaker 5: We'll build you right back up. You just got to
- 10:57Speaker 5: earn it. You got to earn it either way. Oh,
- 11:00Speaker 5: my gosh, this went down.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Did you just shrink? I did shrink. All right. We're
- 11:12Speaker 2: going to take a break.
- 11:14Speaker 4: No, that's not turned up. Why are you cheering?
- 11:19Speaker 2: Did you mean that from falling?
- 11:21Speaker 3: No.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Okay. I was going to cheer just because I'm excited
- 11:25Speaker 2: about football Friday. Guess what? We're going to the game tomorrow.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Flynn family making their appearance, making their debut.
- 11:31Speaker 4: So you haven't gone to a game all year.
- 11:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Well, it's good weather tomorrow.
- 11:36Speaker 4: The game that you're choosing to go is the 11 a.m.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Kick. Yeah. Okay. Well, I mean.
- 11:43Speaker 5: Like, look, it doesn't make sense for me to take
- 11:46Speaker 5: my kids out and not get home until 1 in
- 11:48Speaker 5: the morning.
- 11:49Speaker 2: That doesn't make any sense.
- 11:51Speaker 6: Why?
- 11:54Speaker 2: Why? Do I have to explain that?
- 11:57Speaker 3: They're enjoying a Louisiana State University football game.
- 12:01Speaker 2: I've told you this.
- 12:02Speaker 4: Sometimes you live on the wild side.
- 12:03Speaker 2: I've told you this. My second, Tuzette, who kicks you
- 12:07Speaker 2: in the shin.
- 12:08Speaker 4: Oh, I know her well.
- 12:09Speaker 2: You know her very well. I know her well.
- 12:11Speaker 5: She's been to... A handful of games. She went to
- 12:14Speaker 5: the Alabama game in, what would it be, 23? Is
- 12:20Speaker 5: that 23?
- 12:20Speaker 2: Yes, 23. When it was Bryce.
- 12:24Speaker 5: And she went to the Ole Miss game in 24.
- 12:28Speaker 5: Both of them we won in very dramatic fashion.
- 12:31Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 12:32Speaker 2: Very loud. She slept through both of them. Yeah, most
- 12:36Speaker 2: of the game. Didn't wake up. Impressive. She fell asleep.
- 12:40Speaker 2: We were in the bowl, too, for Bama.
- 12:42Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 12:43Speaker 2: We were in a suite for Ole Miss.
- 12:44Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:45Speaker 5: And even in the bowl, like on my chest, head
- 12:50Speaker 5: on my shoulder, loudest I'd ever heard it as a
- 12:53Speaker 5: fan in the crowd and didn't even budge.
- 12:56Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 12:57Speaker 2: So she loves it.
- 13:01Speaker 3: She might be asleep for this one just for a
- 13:03Speaker 3: different reason because it's early.
- 13:05Speaker 2: We'll see how it goes.
- 13:06Speaker 3: We'll start the process, talk a little football, what's coming up,
- 13:09Speaker 3: not only in Death Valley, what's coming up in the SEC,
- 13:13Speaker 3: what's coming up across the country.
- 13:15Speaker 2: We'll start to break that down.
- 13:16Speaker 3: When we come back here live from Rouse's, it's OTB.

- 14:51Speaker 2: All right, welcome back in.
- 14:52Speaker 3: OTB here live from Rouse's on Burbank and Lee.
- 14:59Speaker 4: I am almost certain, I am almost certain.
- 15:03Speaker 3: That Hunt Palmer has his aux cord plugged into Rouse's
- 15:06Speaker 3: every Friday.
- 15:07Speaker 2: I think so. I mean, I wouldn't doubt it.
- 15:13Speaker 4: There is a minimum.
- 15:15Speaker 2: He gets here, what, 6.15? There's a minimum of two
- 15:18Speaker 2: Goo Goo Dolls songs. per hour. And I'm not mad
- 15:24Speaker 2: at it.
- 15:24Speaker 3: I mean, the Burnt CD Tour, they're the headliner of
- 15:27Speaker 3: our Burnt CD Tour.
- 15:29Speaker 4: There's two.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:31Speaker 3: And then there's a Matchbox 20 somewhere fit right in
- 15:34Speaker 3: the middle of it.
- 15:35Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 15:35Speaker 2: I mean, what a dream. I'm not mad at you.
- 15:37Speaker 4: I'm actually like, thank you. Thank you for your service.
- 15:41Speaker 2: Yeah. Thanks for being in the corner with your aux
- 15:43Speaker 2: cord plugged in. Here it rouses. Rouses on Burbank.
- 15:47Speaker 4: I see him like scrolling. He'll hit one. He'll kind
- 15:49Speaker 4: of wait to see our reaction. We're bribing our head.
- 15:52Speaker 4: He's like, Nice. Got him.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Does he scroll like this, like in a circle?
- 15:56Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 15:56Speaker 4: Because he's got an old school iPad. Yeah, he's got
- 15:57Speaker 4: the Nano.
- 15:59Speaker 2: He's got an iPod Nano. All right.
- 16:05Speaker 3: Let's take a look at the SEC this week. A
- 16:10Speaker 3: couple of nice little 11 a.m.
- 16:12Speaker 2: Games. Of course, Mississippi State at LSU.
- 16:15Speaker 4: At 11 a.m. That one's going to be over on ESPN.
- 16:17Speaker 2: LSU.
- 16:20Speaker 3: Minus 15 and a half. It goes up yet again.
- 16:25Speaker 3: 15 and a half. The total on that game, 57
- 16:29Speaker 3: and a half.
- 16:30Speaker 2: It's making me jealous. I didn't get it at 14
- 16:32Speaker 2: and a half now. Imagine if you got it at,
- 16:34Speaker 2: what was it, 12?
- 16:37Speaker 4: Also at 11 a.m.
- 16:38Speaker 3: Over on ABC, number seven Texas hosting the Florida Gators.
- 16:44Speaker 3: Texas right now an 11 and a half point favorite.
- 16:48Speaker 3: At noon over on the SEC Network Plus, it is
- 16:51Speaker 3: Texas A & M hosting the Citadel. Yeah, that's true.
- 16:58Speaker 4: 2.30 over on ESPN.
- 17:00Speaker 3: I believe they call this the South's oldest rivalry between
- 17:04Speaker 3: Georgia and Auburn.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Okay.
- 17:06Speaker 4: Number one, Georgia.
- 17:08Speaker 2: Georgia, 19.5 point favorite at home.
- 17:11Speaker 4: This one's in Athens.
- 17:13Speaker 2: Good Lord.
- 17:14Speaker 3: Number 14, Tennessee, going to be hosting number six, Alabama,
- 17:18Speaker 3: at 230 over on ABC.
- 17:21Speaker 4: Alabama on the road, seven and a half point favorite.
- 17:26Speaker 2: That's a good line.
- 17:27Speaker 3: Also at 230 over on the SEC network, you've got
- 17:30Speaker 3: number nine, Ole Miss, hosting number 13, Missouri.
- 17:34Speaker 4: Ole Miss, a five and a half point favorite.
- 17:39Speaker 3: At 6 p.m., you've got Vanderbilt hosting Arkansas. That's a
- 17:43Speaker 3: friends and family game. Vanderbilt is minus 6 in that game.
- 17:48Speaker 3: At 6.30 on the SEC Network, you've got unranked Oklahoma
- 17:54Speaker 3: hosting number 15, Kentucky. Oklahoma, 6.5 point favorite in that game.
- 18:01Speaker 3: That's what it looks like in the Southeastern Conference. The
- 18:04Speaker 3: total on that Kentucky-Oklahoma game, 43.5 points.
- 18:08Speaker 4: Take the over. Take the over.
- 18:12Speaker 3: And, of course, we'll go back into the LSU and
- 18:15Speaker 3: Mississippi State game in great detail.
- 18:17Speaker 2: But before we do any of that, any of those
- 18:20Speaker 2: games going to be on the quad box? Yeah.
- 18:24Speaker 5: I'd like to see, just from my curiosity, I'll be
- 18:28Speaker 5: watching the Oklahoma-Kentucky game just to kind of get confirmation
- 18:33Speaker 5: of what we all saw. Also, Oklahoma coming off a
- 18:36Speaker 5: huge win against Texas. I mean, that's an intriguing matchup.
- 18:42Speaker 2: What was the line on that one? Oklahoma was four
- 18:44Speaker 2: and a half? Six and a half. Six and a half?
- 18:45Speaker 6: Right.
- 18:46Speaker 4: Yeah, six and a half.
- 18:50Speaker 2: Obviously, the Georgia-Auburn game. I mean, I get it.
- 18:53Speaker 5: What did you say, 19 and a half points?
- 18:55Speaker 2: Good Lord. How bad is Auburn?
- 19:00Speaker 4: I mean, how good is Georgia?
- 19:01Speaker 2: I mean, true, but still 19 and a half points
- 19:03Speaker 2: in the SEC.
- 19:05Speaker 5: But, yeah, I think just hearing you list those out,
- 19:10Speaker 5: Kentucky– strangely enough, Kentucky, Oklahoma jumped out at me like, oh,
- 19:14Speaker 5: I want to watch that one. Ole Miss, Missouri, yeah,
- 19:17Speaker 5: I'll tune in for that one.
- 19:19Speaker 3: There's a couple of.
- 19:24Speaker 5: Tennessee, I don't know, for whatever reason this year, Tennessee,
- 19:28Speaker 5: every time I hear that they're playing a game, I
- 19:31Speaker 5: just go like– I just think like womp womp.
- 19:33Speaker 2: Like, I don't know. I don't know. I hadn't really
- 19:35Speaker 2: watched them, so I don't have room to talk, but
- 19:37Speaker 2: I know they're not that good this year.
- 19:41Speaker 3: Some of the teams that are road dogs, I get
- 19:46Speaker 3: why they are, but you.
- 19:47Speaker 2: Mentioned Kentucky and Oklahoma.
- 19:48Speaker 4: All right, circle.
- 19:50Speaker 6: That one.
- 19:50Speaker 4: Missouri Ole Miss to me.
- 19:53Speaker 3: Missouri is going to run outside zone until outside zone
- 19:56Speaker 3: can't be run anymore. And I want to see how
- 19:58Speaker 3: Ole Miss defends that.
- 20:00Speaker 5: That's a very intriguing game to me right there. Well,
- 20:05Speaker 5: I mean, were we talking about it that Their run
- 20:09Speaker 5: scheme is very similar to that of Florida. Outside zone,
- 20:13Speaker 5: outside zone, outside zone. Obviously, Ole Miss didn't have a
- 20:15Speaker 5: lot of success versus Florida.
- 20:18Speaker 4: Missouri's got it back.
- 20:20Speaker 2: This could be a good matchup game for Missouri.
- 20:24Speaker 3: Do you give Florida any chance in Austin? Florida's kind
- 20:29Speaker 3: of like the Jameis Winston experience team that we're talking
- 20:31Speaker 3: about in the NFL.
- 20:33Speaker 2: Florida any chance at Austin? Yeah, yeah, I do. I don't.
- 20:37Speaker 5: I think Texas is over. I mean, they were overrated. Now,
- 20:41Speaker 5: they're a good football team. I don't think Arc is
- 20:43Speaker 5: playing very good this year.
- 20:44Speaker 2: Yeah. In the totality of the season.
- 20:48Speaker 4: He hadn't called him Arc in a while. Is he
- 20:50Speaker 4: back to Arc now?
- 20:50Speaker 2: He's back to Arc.
- 20:51Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 20:52Speaker 5: You play like that. You play like Poo Poo. I
- 20:57Speaker 5: mispronounced your name.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:00Speaker 5: And we did it as a joke at first to
- 21:02Speaker 5: try to humble him a little bit. You know, we
- 21:03Speaker 5: thought he was getting a little too cocky with all
- 21:05Speaker 5: the media coverage.
- 21:06Speaker 2: So, we humbled him. I'm sure he's a listener. We
- 21:09Speaker 2: love him. P1. Great guy. I'm sure. He's a P1. P1.
- 21:17Speaker 3: Listens every day. Every single day. At 19 and a half, though,
- 21:22Speaker 3: to go back to your Georgia, Auburn.
- 21:24Speaker 5: That's three touchdowns. That is disrespectful.
- 21:28Speaker 3: Go ahead and do that, though, so Auburn can kind
- 21:30Speaker 3: of be like, I don't know, like not real interested
- 21:32Speaker 3: in next week.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Just crush them. Yeah, go ahead and do that. Don't
- 21:36Speaker 2: let them. Don't beat them like in a close one.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Give them a little bit of hope to moralize them,
- 21:40Speaker 2: what you're saying. Yep. Go ahead and just squish the bug.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Squish the bug, if you will.
- 21:47Speaker 3: Tennessee, Alabama, whenever I said that line, you said it's
- 21:50Speaker 3: a good line. Why is that a good line?
- 21:55Speaker 5: I was saying it's a good line set by them
- 21:57Speaker 5: because it's like, yeah, I could see Bama winning this
- 22:00Speaker 5: game on the road by a touchdown.
- 22:05Speaker 4: That's why you tease that thing down. I know.
- 22:06Speaker 2: You tease it down a little bit? Yeah.
- 22:08Speaker 5: You're going to tease it? You're just going to buy
- 22:11Speaker 5: it up, buy it down a little bit.
- 22:14Speaker 2: Tease. Teasers are pleasers. Teasers are pleasers. Seven-point teaser? Six-point teaser.
- 22:21Speaker 4: Six and a half?
- 22:22Speaker 2: Yeah. Of course, you're going to go around the middle.
- 22:24Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 22:25Speaker 4: Why would I not? Give me the hook. More odds,
- 22:28Speaker 4: you know?
- 22:30Speaker 2: You know what?
- 22:30Speaker 5: As easy as it sounds, because we all think Vegas
- 22:34Speaker 5: is going to get you right all the time. If
- 22:37Speaker 5: it's five and a half, it's going to be a
- 22:39Speaker 5: five-point game. I don't hit many teasers.
- 22:43Speaker 2: And I'm getting seven points against Vegas. Vegas is just decent.
- 22:47Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 22:48Speaker 2: I'd be winning money.
- 22:49Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 22:50Speaker 2: But I'm not. But teasers just sound so intriguing. I'm like, oh,
- 22:53Speaker 2: my God, yeah. Duh, I'm going to tease Alabama down
- 22:56Speaker 2: to half a point. Duh. It's going to be easy.
- 22:59Speaker 2: Then Tennessee will win by 18. It does feel like that.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Every single time.
- 23:04Speaker 3: It does feel like that. That is the common theme. Like, oh, man,
- 23:08Speaker 3: I'm going to tease this thing down. Alabama 6.5, Tennessee
- 23:12Speaker 3: by 18.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Mm-hmm. Oh, yeah, I'm going to definitely tease to the
- 23:18Speaker 2: over because they're going to score some points. Then all
- 23:20Speaker 2: of a sudden... El Nino hits. The score, 12. Not
- 23:27Speaker 2: El Nino. El Nino.
- 23:29Speaker 4: Yes.
- 23:30Speaker 2: I haven't heard El Nino in a long time. Oh,
- 23:37Speaker 2: that old El Nino. Wait, weren't we in El Nino's
- 23:39Speaker 2: little brother or something this year? I don't know. Oh.
- 23:44Speaker 2: I don't know. That's Taylor's job. Yeah.
- 23:46Speaker 3: I might end up playing the over in Kentucky, Oklahoma
- 23:49Speaker 3: for the pontoon parlay.
- 23:50Speaker 2: We'll see. Careful.
- 23:52Speaker 4: We'll see.
- 23:52Speaker 2: What do you mean? We're in the season. El Nino.
- 23:54Speaker 2: I just talked about that.
- 23:56Speaker 4: And Norman?
- 23:57Speaker 2: Maybe. It's windy there. It says it's 57 and sunny
- 24:03Speaker 2: on the little.
- 24:05Speaker 4: Score bug here.
- 24:07Speaker 2: So. All right.
- 24:08Speaker 3: That is what's going on around the SEC. When we
- 24:11Speaker 3: come back, let's dive into the LSU Mississippi State game.
- 24:15Speaker 4: 11 a.m.
- 24:16Speaker 3: Kick across the street there in Death Valley. We'll do
- 24:19Speaker 3: it right here on OTB.
- 24:21Speaker 2: Off the bench.
- 24:25Speaker 4: Oh, El Nino's little brother.
- 24:26Speaker 2: Absolutely. All right.
- 24:27Speaker 3: Go to FABT.com. FABT.com. First American Bank and Trust. They've

- 24:46Speaker 3: they are made right here locally. They don't call. They
- 24:49Speaker 3: don't have to ask for permission to approve your loan
- 24:52Speaker 3: for your home, for your business, whatever it might be.
- 24:54Speaker 2: Go to FABT.com today. First American Bank and Trust, the

- 25:09Speaker 5: a bank you need, if you just need to start

- 25:14Speaker 5: Maybe you got a business right here in Louisiana. You
- 25:16Speaker 5: need a little bit of runway, a little bit of capital.
- 25:19Speaker 2: Well, go talk to them. Go shake their hands. Go

- 25:22Speaker 5: decision for you and your business or your family right
- 25:26Speaker 5: here in Louisiana.

- 25:56Speaker 1: Tigers turn talkers this is off the bench.
- 26:05Speaker 3: All right welcome back in otv here live from ross's
- 26:08Speaker 3: on burbank and lee breakfast bar is in full effect
- 26:13Speaker 3: over here at ross's how do i know because well
- 26:16Speaker 3: my co-host over there is a smacking eggs are.
- 26:19Speaker 2: Flying over here people good ash browns today come on
- 26:25Speaker 2: um What did we say the other day?
- 26:28Speaker 4: Eggs are flying?
- 26:29Speaker 2: Is that what you said? We said, man, this takes
- 26:32Speaker 2: me back to old school when I was a kid. Grandies?
- 26:36Speaker 2: Hell yeah. You know you know, I guess. Yeah. Was
- 26:40Speaker 2: there grandies? Moose, have you ever heard of grandies? You
- 26:44Speaker 2: ever heard of grandies? No. No. Not everybody's fortunate. Not
- 26:49Speaker 2: everybody's cool.
- 26:51Speaker 4: Grandie, I mean, slapped.
- 26:53Speaker 2: Was that an East Texas thing? Yeah, it must have been.
- 26:57Speaker 2: Must have been.
- 26:57Speaker 4: I mean, we had one in the Port City.
- 26:59Speaker 3: Go ahead and stir up the jokes.
- 27:01Speaker 2: Obviously. That's what I said. Go ahead and stir up
- 27:04Speaker 2: the old jokes. Boy, we'd get about six hash browns
- 27:08Speaker 2: with a side of gravy. Consider that a healthy meal.
- 27:12Speaker 3: Side of gravy or a bucket of gravy? I used
- 27:18Speaker 3: to get an unhealthy amount of gravy.
- 27:20Speaker 2: Okay.
- 27:20Speaker 4: Or country fried steak.
- 27:21Speaker 2: So I do have an announcement to make. Can't wait
- 27:24Speaker 2: for this. Your boy knows his weather and his weather patterns, okay?
- 27:31Speaker 2: I said it.
- 27:32Speaker 5: I said it with my chest out a second ago.
- 27:34Speaker 5: I got judged because I said we're in El.
- 27:38Speaker 2: Nino's little brother. I actually just laughed because you said
- 27:41Speaker 2: El Nino and I hadn't heard that in forever. Well,
- 27:44Speaker 2: guess what? Were you right? We're in El Nino's little brother.
- 27:47Speaker 2: Like for real, for real, or are you just being yourself?
- 27:49Speaker 2: El Hermanito. Oh. It happens. I know. The H is silent.
- 27:54Speaker 2: The H is silent. El hermanito? I mean, close, yes.
- 28:09Speaker 4: Close enough. You say it.
- 28:12Speaker 2: No, you're good.
- 28:15Speaker 5: I nailed it. That's what she meant. Do I know
- 28:19Speaker 5: Spanish better than Alondra?
- 28:20Speaker 4: Maybe. Feels like it.
- 28:27Speaker 2: So, not a big deal, everybody. 2026 has experienced a
- 28:32Speaker 2: major El Nino slash Super El Nino event. All right.
- 28:37Speaker 2: There you go. Little brother. And that's what it's called.
- 28:40Speaker 3: And, again, still doesn't affect the game that I was
- 28:43Speaker 3: talking about earlier.
- 28:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I just had to clarify for everybody, even though
- 28:48Speaker 2: I mispronounced it.
- 28:50Speaker 3: You're going to be the radio guy that comes back
- 28:52Speaker 3: and only champions when he's right, huh?
- 28:54Speaker 2: That's going to be you now?
- 28:55Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 28:57Speaker 2: Well.
- 28:58Speaker 5: You got to celebrate the victories. Life's too short not
- 29:00Speaker 5: to celebrate your wins. And just don't look too closely
- 29:04Speaker 5: at the losses.
- 29:05Speaker 2: Fair. All right.
- 29:07Speaker 3: Well, we're hoping LSU doesn't get another loss this weekend. And, well,
- 29:11Speaker 3: the point spread keeps going up and up and up
- 29:14Speaker 3: and up. LSU right now 15 and a half point
- 29:17Speaker 3: favorite over Mississippi State. Now, a lot of that is
- 29:20Speaker 3: because there is a strong belief that Camario Taylor is
- 29:23Speaker 3: not going to play in this game. Bothwell, the talented
- 29:27Speaker 3: running back, doesn't look like he's going to play in
- 29:29Speaker 3: this game. Those are two difference makers. We know that
- 29:32Speaker 3: now they do have other good running backs. Evans, that receiver,
- 29:36Speaker 3: we talked about him throughout the week. He's an absolute
- 29:38Speaker 3: game changer. But Kamario Taylor is their best player. He's
- 29:42Speaker 3: one of the better players in the country. Certainly one
- 29:44Speaker 3: of the better quarterbacks in the SEC. So that's why
- 29:46Speaker 3: that number is where it's at. But I'll be honest
- 29:49Speaker 3: with you. The amount of dams that I don't give
- 29:53Speaker 3: what the score is is very high.
- 29:56Speaker 2: Right.
- 29:56Speaker 4: Because you can win... By one, by two, by three.
- 30:02Speaker 2: I don't care.
- 30:02Speaker 4: I don't care. You've got to win.
- 30:04Speaker 3: I don't care where the point spread is. I don't
- 30:07Speaker 3: care who's playing. I don't care who's not playing. I
- 30:10Speaker 3: don't care who's available for either team. By God, when
- 30:13Speaker 3: LSU takes the field against Mississippi State, have one more
- 30:16Speaker 3: point than they have.
- 30:18Speaker 2: Okay?
- 30:18Speaker 3: I'm not worried about style points and how it looks
- 30:21Speaker 3: right now. These next two weeks, you have to scratch, fight, claw, strain,
- 30:26Speaker 3: whatever you've got to do to win the games.
- 30:28Speaker 2: Right.
- 30:29Speaker 3: To put yourself in a position to do something. You
- 30:31Speaker 3: get to a bye week, you get Trey Des Green
- 30:34Speaker 3: back in all likelihood. Now, I don't think you get
- 30:37Speaker 3: Whit Weeks back, but as you get down the road, eventually,
- 30:41Speaker 3: if it's, you know, in a position where he can
- 30:43Speaker 3: come back and you still have a chance to fight
- 30:45Speaker 3: for something, that's never going to be a bad thing.
- 30:49Speaker 3: Just get to the bye week and be 6-2 with
- 30:53Speaker 3: Alabama and Texas and Tennessee and Arkansas still left on
- 30:57Speaker 3: the schedule. and you have an opportunity to play for
- 31:01Speaker 3: something of note. It's not guaranteed. It's going to be
- 31:04Speaker 3: very difficult. It's going to be really hard, but you'll
- 31:07Speaker 3: have a chance. If you lose this game, if you
- 31:10Speaker 3: lose next week, you don't have a chance. Then you're
- 31:13Speaker 3: fighting for the Outback Bowl. That's not where you want
- 31:15Speaker 3: to be right now. So, again, I know there's a
- 31:18Speaker 3: lot of people that want to win this game in
- 31:20Speaker 3: a certain manner.
- 31:21Speaker 2: That's cool.
- 31:22Speaker 4: That's your own belief, and you're more than entitled.
- 31:26Speaker 2: To have that. I don't care. Find a way. Yeah.
- 31:34Speaker 2: The whole the whole line is I.
- 31:37Speaker 5: Don't want it to get higher. Like, I don't want
- 31:39Speaker 5: this line to be at 15 and a half just
- 31:41Speaker 5: because of, you.
- 31:43Speaker 2: Know, right, wrong or indifferent.
- 31:46Speaker 5: Gambling's a part of our society now. Sports betting is
- 31:50Speaker 5: a normal part of everyday sports. It's talked about on
- 31:54Speaker 5: the biggest sports channels. It's talked about right before the
- 31:56Speaker 5: game by announcers. It's talked about after the game by announcers.
- 32:00Speaker 5: It's talked about players and coaches every now and then.
- 32:03Speaker 5: It is a part of the game, so it does
- 32:06Speaker 5: add pressure. If you do play a close game, if
- 32:08Speaker 5: for whatever reason you lose a game that your big
- 32:12Speaker 5: favorite's in, It looks even worse because, unfortunately, because of
- 32:17Speaker 5: what the gambling line is.
- 32:19Speaker 2: It gives people ammunition to go after you. Oh, you
- 32:26Speaker 2: lost and this was the point spread.
- 32:28Speaker 5: It just gives people a little bit of argument to
- 32:30Speaker 5: argument against your team. Back in the day, when the
- 32:32Speaker 5: line wasn't quite as prevalent, you didn't really.
- 32:35Speaker 3: I never knew one line of one college football game
- 32:38Speaker 3: that I played in.
- 32:39Speaker 5: When I got done playing... When I retired in 15,
- 32:42Speaker 5: I actually didn't retire until last summer.
- 32:45Speaker 2: But when I got that plan. We did it on
- 32:47Speaker 2: the show, buddy. When I was 15, I started, like,
- 32:50Speaker 2: looking at it and looking at the lines and stuff.
- 32:52Speaker 2: I was like, what does minus mean? What does the
- 32:54Speaker 2: plus mean?
- 32:55Speaker 4: Oh, I had no idea.
- 32:56Speaker 5: Someone literally had to explain it to me when I
- 32:59Speaker 5: got that plan. But, like, everybody knows it now. It's
- 33:02Speaker 5: common knowledge. So it makes the loss look worse if
- 33:04Speaker 5: you're favored.
- 33:05Speaker 2: So I don't want that line to go any higher.
- 33:07Speaker 2: But you're right. I don't care how they win. Sure,
- 33:09Speaker 2: I'd love for him to blow them out.
- 33:11Speaker 5: And obviously, the people that are actually putting their hard-earned
- 33:15Speaker 5: dollars at stake on this game have watched both games,
- 33:20Speaker 5: have watched both teams play, do know that the defense
- 33:24Speaker 5: is good, albeit people are still rightfully upset at some
- 33:28Speaker 5: stuff this past week. But I understand you're going to
- 33:31Speaker 5: be playing a backup quarterback, a backup quarterback who is a.
- 33:33Speaker 2: Walk-on, potentially. Potentially. So I think the.
- 33:39Speaker 5: Lines are probably fairly accurate for this game. And I
- 33:43Speaker 5: know Jake and I were always going to pick LSU.
- 33:46Speaker 5: We're always going to pick them to win by 100.
- 33:48Speaker 2: I get it.
- 33:49Speaker 5: But I think the lines are the lines this weekend
- 33:51Speaker 5: because they're probably pretty accurate.
- 33:53Speaker 2: It's a good matchup. And guess what?
- 33:54Speaker 5: You've thrown the ball really well this year. So not
- 33:57Speaker 5: only is your good defense going to be facing an
- 34:01Speaker 5: offense that's probably going to be run by a former
- 34:05Speaker 5: walk-on quarterback. They also, I think their running back's questionable too, right?
- 34:10Speaker 5: Isn't Fluff questionable? Has that changed since yesterday? Who, Bothwell?
- 34:14Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 34:14Speaker 2: Yeah, same. Yeah, questionable. Okay, so he's questionable.
- 34:17Speaker 5: They're leading tacklers out on defense, and they're one of
- 34:22Speaker 5: the worst teams in the country.
- 34:25Speaker 2: At pass defense. Yep.
- 34:27Speaker 5: So your comparison on offense, if you're just going by
- 34:31Speaker 5: the numbers.
- 34:31Speaker 4: Were they 13th in the SEC in sacks?
- 34:33Speaker 1: No.
- 34:34Speaker 2: Something like that. Yeah, something like that.
- 34:37Speaker 5: But in the country, they're 96th, I believe, in total
- 34:41Speaker 5: yards allowed every single week. And LSU's fourth in total yards.
- 34:46Speaker 5: And I know last week was frustrating. We got two losses.
- 34:49Speaker 5: But as an offense, you're still fourth in the country
- 34:51Speaker 5: at total yards per game. You're averaging almost 525 yards
- 34:56Speaker 5: per game every time you step out on the football field.
- 34:59Speaker 2: Scoring, they're 108th in the country. LSU is ninth in
- 35:05Speaker 2: the country. And I get it. Like, stats can be misleading.
- 35:09Speaker 5: I got it. I understand that. But it does kind
- 35:12Speaker 5: of tell a story about what these teams. And I
- 35:15Speaker 5: only try to, like, talk about stats that paint a
- 35:18Speaker 5: big picture, I guess. Try to paint some sort of
- 35:21Speaker 5: broad picture. But week in, week out, Mississippi State's defense
- 35:27Speaker 5: has given up a lot. So their pass defense is
- 35:31Speaker 5: 124th in the country. So I think that's at 138 total,
- 35:35Speaker 5: and they're 124. So they are giving up yards through
- 35:38Speaker 5: the air. LSU has been, I'll say, good.
- 35:42Speaker 2: Through the air.
- 35:44Speaker 5: Better through the air when Sam had a hurt hamstring,
- 35:47Speaker 5: funny enough. Last week was a little bit of a
- 35:51Speaker 5: combination for Sam Levitt between when he was playing with
- 35:55Speaker 5: a hurt hamstring and then before he was playing with
- 35:58Speaker 5: a hurt hamstring.
- 35:59Speaker 2: He did some really good things last week.
- 36:02Speaker 5: He sped up a couple of times that were a
- 36:04Speaker 5: little too fast.
- 36:05Speaker 2: Didn't go through his reads and his progressions. But I
- 36:08Speaker 2: do think that there is an advantage.
- 36:09Speaker 5: Certainly there is an advantage statistically leading up to this game.
- 36:15Speaker 2: For the LSU pass. So pass it, pass it, pass it,
- 36:18Speaker 2: pass it this weekend. That's not like you.
- 36:21Speaker 5: I'm talking about normal down and distance called pass plays.
- 36:27Speaker 2: Read through the defense. Read through your coverage. Yeah, you've
- 36:29Speaker 2: got to establish the running game. Last week, I was like, run, run, run, run, run,
- 36:33Speaker 2: because I thought we could. We proved that we could not.
- 36:37Speaker 2: But this week, the stats do show the tendencies, I
- 36:40Speaker 2: should say. The tendencies do show that you can go
- 36:43Speaker 2: through your normal drawback passing. I mean, last week, we
- 36:47Speaker 2: did talk about run, run, run. Now, RPOs, please just
- 36:50Speaker 2: run the ball on RPOs, you know. I'm not saying
- 36:53Speaker 2: throw it on RPOs. I'm just saying get a normal
- 36:55Speaker 2: down and distance. Run your play action. Run a drop
- 36:57Speaker 2: back pass. Get into empty.
- 36:58Speaker 4: Right.
- 36:59Speaker 2: Get the ball out of your hand.
- 37:01Speaker 3: But, like, last week we were saying, like, normal runs,
- 37:03Speaker 3: which they started to do more of in the second half.
- 37:06Speaker 2: Yeah, and it did a lot better in the second half.
- 37:09Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying.
- 37:09Speaker 5: Although they only had two normal runs with Dylan Jones
- 37:15Speaker 5: in the fourth quarter.
- 37:15Speaker 2: Which I didn't love.
- 37:21Speaker 3: Well, I made light of that because you said normal
- 37:24Speaker 3: passing plays in normal passing situations.
- 37:27Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 37:30Speaker 2: And I hope we don't pull the guard on for
- 37:32Speaker 2: pass protection as much this week.
- 37:35Speaker 4: I bet you see that.
- 37:36Speaker 2: Again, that's in vogue on high school and college level
- 37:38Speaker 2: all over the place. Yeah, and it shouldn't be. And
- 37:40Speaker 2: it shouldn't be.
- 37:41Speaker 5: Unfortunately, a lot of the high school coaches do things
- 37:43Speaker 5: that the college coaches do, and college coaches don't always
- 37:46Speaker 5: do the right thing.
- 37:49Speaker 2: That's across the country. Yep. Coast to coast.
- 37:52Speaker 3: If you went to a high school game tonight, you
- 37:54Speaker 3: would see a lot of guard pulling.
- 37:56Speaker 5: Yeah, and you're going to see a lot of unsound
- 37:58Speaker 5: protections and sacks and people scrambling around.
- 38:01Speaker 2: I'm not going to argue there either. I don't know why.
- 38:05Speaker 3: I don't know why it caught on. I don't know
- 38:06Speaker 3: why it's a thing, but it certainly is a thing.
- 38:08Speaker 3: Someone did it once.
- 38:11Speaker 2: Yeah, but if it's not working, why do you keep
- 38:12Speaker 2: doing it? Because we do those things well, Jake. We
- 38:17Speaker 2: got to be us. We can't let them dictate what
- 38:19Speaker 2: we do. We've got to have our own identity.
- 38:21Speaker 4: All right. We will take a break.
- 38:23Speaker 3: We've got more OTB coming your way here live from

- 39:49Speaker 6: Welcome back here. Off the bench. I don't know what
- 39:56Speaker 6: Jake's doing, but he is working hard over here. He's
- 40:01Speaker 6: got two, maybe.
- 40:03Speaker 2: Three colored.
- 40:19Speaker 5: Depends happening to sort out his thoughts. But welcome back here.
- 40:23Speaker 5: Off the bench. Rouse's Market right here on Burbank. On
- 40:26Speaker 5: a football Friday.
- 40:27Speaker 2: Getting ready. Getting tuned up for a little LSU Mississippi
- 40:30Speaker 2: State action tomorrow morning. 11 a.m. Fired up for it.
- 40:37Speaker 2: Flynn family's going to be in the house. Hester family,
- 40:40Speaker 2: how you going? Everybody? Just you.
- 40:44Speaker 4: Just me, I think.
- 40:45Speaker 2: Just you?
- 40:46Speaker 4: Just me, I think.
- 40:47Speaker 2: Wow. I think.
- 40:49Speaker 4: No, my dad and stepmom are going to be in town.
- 40:51Speaker 4: I know they're going.
- 40:53Speaker 2: Okay. I don't know if the rest of the crew
- 40:55Speaker 2: is going, though. I don't think so.
- 41:00Speaker 3: The early rise is not very appealing. They've been to
- 41:02Speaker 3: a bunch of games this year already.
- 41:05Speaker 2: Okay.
- 41:05Speaker 4: I think they've been to the last three.
- 41:07Speaker 2: The one that's finally going to be good weather. I
- 41:10Speaker 2: don't care about weather. Why? Because we're molded.
- 41:12Speaker 4: We're calloused in the bad weather here. You know?
- 41:15Speaker 2: Well.
- 41:16Speaker 4: We lived in California long enough, bud.
- 41:18Speaker 2: Life's about choices.
- 41:22Speaker 4: Yeah, I think they're going to opt to sleep in.
- 41:23Speaker 3: I think they're going to opt to sleep in.
- 41:28Speaker 5: Yeah, we've got to be out there pretty early. Got
- 41:31Speaker 5: to be out there pretty early.
- 41:32Speaker 2: But you know what? We're going to get home early.
- 41:33Speaker 2: We're going to be able to kick our feet up
- 41:35Speaker 2: at the house.
- 41:36Speaker 4: I cannot wait for that.
- 41:38Speaker 2: Have a cold pop. Watch a little evening football.
- 41:42Speaker 4: I cannot wait to be home early.
- 41:44Speaker 3: Feet up after a big LSU dub watching the rest
- 41:49Speaker 3: of the country. You know, I was getting home at
- 41:53Speaker 3: 3 a.m. from road trips. You're 41. They hit you
- 41:56Speaker 3: a little different. They hit you a little different. And
- 42:00Speaker 3: by different, I mean like square in the tooth.
- 42:03Speaker 2: Okay.
- 42:04Speaker 4: Like right square in the tooth. You know what I mean?
- 42:06Speaker 6: Okay.
- 42:11Speaker 2: Teeth are hard. You know what? I'm distracted right now.
- 42:18Speaker 2: This is frustrating. Can we not get a new pair
- 42:20Speaker 2: of headphones? This is the saggy mic one. It's the worst.
- 42:25Speaker 3: So on the remotes, you have two options if you
- 42:29Speaker 3: don't have this one, which I haven't had this one
- 42:31Speaker 3: in multiple weeks.
- 42:32Speaker 4: I don't know how it happened. Thank you, Moose.
- 42:35Speaker 3: You either have that one where it's droopy and it
- 42:38Speaker 3: won't stay. So you've got to hold it the entire show.
- 42:41Speaker 2: Can we just get another one?
- 42:43Speaker 3: Or you have the headphones that the earpad has started
- 42:47Speaker 3: to come off.
- 42:48Speaker 2: Yes.
- 42:49Speaker 3: And sometimes when you interview a Heisman Trophy winning quarterback
- 42:53Speaker 3: named Danny Warfel, you give him that headset.
- 42:57Speaker 2: Yeah, and he walks off.
- 42:58Speaker 3: And he walks off and he's got the black earphone
- 43:00Speaker 3: residue all over his head. And you don't know what
- 43:03Speaker 3: to say. You're too embarrassed. Now, he went to Florida,
- 43:05Speaker 3: so you let it go. But you're like, hey, maybe
- 43:09Speaker 3: we could, I don't know, throw a nuclear.
- 43:12Speaker 5: That piece of headphone that he walked off with on
- 43:14Speaker 5: his chin, that piece of leather, was a quarter.
- 43:18Speaker 2: Inch by a half inch. I felt bad. Even with
- 43:24Speaker 2: him being a gator.
- 43:25Speaker 5: I was like, I don't know, Danny. He did win
- 43:28Speaker 5: the Heisman. He's kind of a big deal. Seems like
- 43:30Speaker 5: a nice enough guy. I don't know if I'm going
- 43:31Speaker 5: to pick something off his face.
- 43:33Speaker 4: I know.
- 43:34Speaker 2: We're not there.
- 43:34Speaker 5: Our relationship is not there. I'm not going to index
- 43:38Speaker 5: finger and thumb pick this off his chin right now.
- 43:41Speaker 3: I know he's Doering's guy, and so I was like, man,
- 43:43Speaker 3: maybe I'll just dive in here.
- 43:45Speaker 2: I'll just grab it off. But then he is a Gator,
- 43:48Speaker 2: so it was funny for me. Yeah, but that's what
- 43:51Speaker 2: we're dealing with here.
- 43:54Speaker 3: So if Matt sounds like he's a little far away
- 43:56Speaker 3: from the microphone, I'll give him credit.
- 43:58Speaker 2: He's trying. I'm trying.
- 43:59Speaker 4: He's trying here.
- 44:00Speaker 2: Got a little saggy mic over here. Y'all probably missed
- 44:07Speaker 2: a lot of really cool things I've said today.
- 44:09Speaker 6: No.
- 44:10Speaker 2: It's because of the mic. Really all he missed was
- 44:11Speaker 2: you smacking from the breakfast bar earlier.
- 44:15Speaker 3: That's about it. All right, so we still have a
- 44:19Speaker 3: lot left here today. We'll get into the Saints traveling
- 44:23Speaker 3: to New Jersey to take on the Giants. We'll get
- 44:27Speaker 3: into a little bit of the NFL slate. We've got
- 44:31Speaker 3: all of our favorite games. We've got what's the ticket,
- 44:35Speaker 3: college and NFL version.
- 44:38Speaker 2: Are we going to do it?
- 44:38Speaker 5: Our pontoon parlay is going so well, we're going to
- 44:40Speaker 5: do NFL.
- 44:41Speaker 2: Didn't we call that something? We had a name for
- 44:43Speaker 2: that last year.
- 44:44Speaker 3: I don't remember exactly. When you say well, like me, Alondra,
- 44:49Speaker 3: and Taylor are doing well.
- 44:50Speaker 2: As on the whole, the whole team's doing great. A
- 44:54Speaker 2: good record. Yeah. Nice little record on us. I got
- 44:58Speaker 2: one this week. BYU?
- 44:59Speaker 4: Damn it.
- 45:04Speaker 2: This man is going to fade Notre Dame. No, it's
- 45:07Speaker 2: not about that. It's about home dog, you know. It's
- 45:10Speaker 2: about a home dog.
- 45:12Speaker 4: It is up to ten and a half.
- 45:13Speaker 2: It is ten and a half. I saw it this morning.
- 45:14Speaker 4: BYU, Notre Dame.
- 45:16Speaker 3: I knew as soon as I saw that line, I said, well,
- 45:19Speaker 3: I know what's going to sink the pontoon parlay this week.
- 45:22Speaker 2: That's a death. That's a kiss of death. Oh, God.
- 45:25Speaker 3: As soon as I saw like a little dangle of
- 45:27Speaker 3: a little bit of something, I'm like, hey.
- 45:30Speaker 2: To get them to really lose, should I pick Notre Dame?
- 45:32Speaker 6: Maybe.
- 45:34Speaker 2: Maybe. Just listen to those three. Do like my mom
- 45:40Speaker 2: did a couple weeks ago. Just use me, Alondra, and Taylor,
- 45:43Speaker 2: and fade. What's funny is you know I'm about to
- 45:45Speaker 2: go on a heater. You know I'm about to go
- 45:47Speaker 2: on a run.
- 45:48Speaker 4: Said nobody ever. We'll be back.
- 45:50Speaker 2: More OTB, hour number two. Off the bench.
- 45:55Speaker 3: All right, go to BayouAutomotive.com, BayouAutomotive.com, down in La Paz, Louisiana.
- 46:00Speaker 3: A quick, easy drive down to La Paz, like less
- 46:03Speaker 3: than an hour from here.
- 46:04Speaker 4: But, look, let's say you can't make it. Let's say
- 46:06Speaker 4: you're busier than busy.
- 46:07Speaker 2: It's the fall.
- 46:08Speaker 4: We get it.
- 46:09Speaker 3: Well, you can buy your vehicle online at BayouAutomotive.com, and

- 46:30Speaker 4: An incredible service over at Bayou Automotive.
- 46:32Speaker 2: Yeah, Jake, they got a great, great place over there
- 46:34Speaker 2: in La Paz, but you never have to step foot
- 46:37Speaker 2: in it if you don't want to. You can.

- 46:40Speaker 5: don't ever have to step foot. You can buy Your

- 46:48Speaker 2: drive it to you. They are the best. They are
