- 0:22Speaker 1: Welcome into jags Am here in London, Sunny London, just
- 0:26Speaker 1: outside of London. We are in England for JAG's am
- 0:29Speaker 1: our final diaxam on location before we head back to Florida,
- 0:33Speaker 1: and we got a little Florida weather today, so we're
- 0:34Speaker 1: not too mad about that. You guys, what's this trip
- 0:37Speaker 1: been like for you? I think it's interesting to kind
- 0:39Speaker 1: of see how the team is kind of stuck together
- 0:42Speaker 1: a little bit of a training camp like fial because
- 0:44Speaker 1: they've been with each other for it's going to be
- 0:46Speaker 1: two weeks now almost at the end of this.
- 0:48Speaker 2: I'm marveled just at the logistics of what it takes
- 0:50Speaker 2: to do this right. I mean, you talk about the
- 0:52Speaker 2: team and they've done it for several years, but now
- 0:54Speaker 2: you bring over an entire organization because that Wembley game
- 0:57Speaker 2: is a Jaguars game, you know from all the broadcasts
- 1:00Speaker 2: that we do, and we do a lot of them,
- 1:02Speaker 2: you know, evening morning shows. It takes a huge effort
- 1:07Speaker 2: to do something like I marvel how smoothly it's gone.
- 1:10Speaker 2: At least from my perspective, it appears everything has gone well.
- 1:14Speaker 3: It's a remarkable logistical feat and I think what's most impressive, Brian.
- 1:20Speaker 3: You were here the first year, and I mean the
- 1:22Speaker 3: first year of London thirteen. Those times sort of felt
- 1:28Speaker 3: like experiments, if you will. You know, it was interesting,
- 1:35Speaker 3: but it wasn't really they were making the commitment. But
- 1:38Speaker 3: now it feels like this is something that they just do.
- 1:41Speaker 3: They know how to do, and I don't say flexing,
- 1:45Speaker 3: but you know what I'm saying. Now they do it
- 1:48Speaker 3: and do it well and show in the full commitment.
- 1:50Speaker 3: It has been an impressive growth on that front.
- 1:52Speaker 2: And we should point out they have a staff here
- 1:54Speaker 2: now in the UK and shout out to them because
- 1:57Speaker 2: they worked hard to make sure that the time work
- 2:00Speaker 2: was your place to make this happen. Now, let's see
- 2:02Speaker 2: if the team could go make it happen and go
- 2:04Speaker 2: home with two.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Wins, that sure would be nice. Let's talk about our
- 2:07Speaker 1: big things this week because it's going to be a
- 2:09Speaker 1: big game on Sunday. Our first big thing is buckle up,
- 2:12Speaker 1: because the Bills have been a force to be reckoned
- 2:14Speaker 1: with their last three games or so, and the weapons
- 2:17Speaker 1: on offense make them very dangerous. Doug Peterson talked about
- 2:21Speaker 1: what the Bills bring to the table earlier this week.
- 2:25Speaker 4: This is a great football team, great quarterback, obviously, well coached,
- 2:31Speaker 4: you know, obviously the the fingerprints of coach McDermott on
- 2:36Speaker 4: this defense and what they're doing. So yeah, it's a
- 2:38Speaker 4: challenge for us, and you know it's something that we
- 2:42Speaker 4: can learn maybe from from that Chiefs. Game preparation, hard work,
- 2:45Speaker 4: all of that going into this week and and you know,
- 2:50Speaker 4: just know that that our guys will be you know,
- 2:52Speaker 4: they'll be ready, you know, for for Sunday and look
- 2:55Speaker 4: forward to the opportunity.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Ran, can you truly be ready for the Bills when
- 3:01Speaker 1: they're on their best effort?
- 3:04Speaker 2: Well, you can be ready to do what you do, right.
- 3:06Speaker 2: We hear that all the time, and it's not about them,
- 3:08Speaker 2: it's about us. So if Doug and his team are
- 3:11Speaker 2: prepared to do what they do at a high level,
- 3:13Speaker 2: then yeah, you can be ready for it. I was
- 3:15Speaker 2: walking up off the bus this morning and talking with
- 3:18Speaker 2: some folks and we came to the consensus that if
- 3:21Speaker 2: the Jaguars could get off to a fast start on Sunday, right,
- 3:25Speaker 2: then you'd have an advantage over the Bills, who undoubtedly
- 3:30Speaker 2: will have to get their sea legs. You know, they
- 3:32Speaker 2: land tomorrow morning and players have talked about it. It's
- 3:36Speaker 2: a struggle at times, you know, to feel good by Sunday.
- 3:38Speaker 2: So if you're gonna have an advantage, it's gonna be
- 3:40Speaker 2: getting off to a fast start early.
- 3:42Speaker 3: Well, Doug loves to say that it's about them, me
- 3:45Speaker 3: and the Jaguars, nothing about the opponent. This week, it
- 3:47Speaker 3: might be about them. And because this team's really good,
- 3:51Speaker 3: we talked yesterday, might be the best team in the
- 3:53Speaker 3: AFC right now, might be the best team in the NFL.
- 3:56Speaker 3: I agree to fast start.
- 3:58Speaker 5: The fast start would.
- 3:59Speaker 3: Enable you to get some confidence, start converting in the
- 4:02Speaker 3: red zone, get a little bit of a lead. But
- 4:05Speaker 3: then guess what, you got to keep building on that leagueuse.
- 4:07Speaker 3: This team is really really good offensively, but a fast
- 4:11Speaker 3: start would enable you to maybe get the other Josh
- 4:14Speaker 3: Allen not nervous but trying to make plays, get into
- 4:19Speaker 3: his bugaboo.
- 4:19Speaker 5: A little bit.
- 4:21Speaker 3: I think that's really their hope. I agree with the consensus,
- 4:23Speaker 3: and usually i'm sort of a contrarian.
- 4:25Speaker 2: Brian, Well, if there's an advantage to having been here
- 4:28Speaker 2: all week and a disadvantage to coming over, it's going
- 4:30Speaker 2: to evaporate quickly because they're that good.
- 4:32Speaker 5: So you better take advantage of it.
- 4:34Speaker 1: The truly are our big thing. Number two this week
- 4:36Speaker 1: is must be better. Because we've talked about the third
- 4:38Speaker 1: down issues that the Jaguars have had. Bills do not
- 4:41Speaker 1: have that problem. They are very impressive on third down.
- 4:45Speaker 1: And Doug talked earlier this week a little bit about
- 4:47Speaker 1: what Josh Allen does and what makes him so dangerous.
- 4:50Speaker 4: Last time I faced him, I think was in twenty nineteen,
- 4:54Speaker 4: you know, and it's a challenge to get him on
- 4:56Speaker 4: the ground when you can. But he's got a big
- 4:58Speaker 4: arm all asleep on the receivers and his ability to
- 5:02Speaker 4: extend plays and he does a nice job of finding,
- 5:06Speaker 4: you know, finding his targets. And it's a challenge for
- 5:10Speaker 4: our defense this week, right.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Josh Allen always seems to find a way other than
- 5:16Speaker 1: when he's having one of those three interception games, of course,
- 5:18Speaker 1: but when he's on, he is he liked out.
- 5:20Speaker 2: They don't need to line up in that rugby scrum
- 5:23Speaker 2: that the Eagles have made so famous. He doesn't need
- 5:25Speaker 2: anyone pushing him from behind. He's six foot six and
- 5:28Speaker 2: two hundred and sixty pounds, and it really it stands
- 5:31Speaker 2: out that you've got to get those guys into third
- 5:33Speaker 2: and long situations so that Josh Allen can't just line
- 5:36Speaker 2: up on third and two and fall forward and get
- 5:39Speaker 2: it on his own. He's a tremendous player, and you
- 5:41Speaker 2: want to put him in the most difficult situations as possible,
- 5:45Speaker 2: and it's going to be up to the Jags, Josh
- 5:47Speaker 2: Allen Andrevon Walker.
- 5:48Speaker 5: To do that.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Yeah, he's really a unique guy. Build wise, he reminds
- 5:54Speaker 3: you of Roethlisberger a little bit, but yet he uses
- 5:58Speaker 3: that size and speed that he's got more than Ben
- 6:03Speaker 3: did in terms of trying to be an offensive weapon
- 6:05Speaker 3: with it. You wonder a little bit can he hold
- 6:08Speaker 3: up for his entire career?
- 6:09Speaker 5: But Ben did you know?
- 6:10Speaker 3: So that size prototypical on that front. I just keep
- 6:15Speaker 3: going back to it. You've got to get him in
- 6:18Speaker 3: long yardage. You've got you almost have to assume that
- 6:22Speaker 3: they're gonna score a bunch of points. You have to
- 6:25Speaker 3: hope that his mistakes come in a situation you can
- 6:28Speaker 3: take advantage of him, and you've got to score. I
- 6:31Speaker 3: don't know if a couple of turnovers is enough against
- 6:33Speaker 3: this team. If you're not being efficient offensively, I joked earlier,
- 6:38Speaker 3: it's about the Bills more than the Jaguars, But it's
- 6:40Speaker 3: about the Jaguars offensively score enough to keep up with
- 6:43Speaker 3: this guy.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Our big thing, Number three is about the big man
- 6:46Speaker 1: back in action, Cam Robinson practiced yesterday. Doug wasn't entirely
- 6:51Speaker 1: committed that Ken was gonna start in this first game back,
- 6:54Speaker 1: but he did talk a little bit about the O
- 6:55Speaker 1: line yesterday.
- 6:58Speaker 4: We have no issues with Luke at all. He's done
- 7:00Speaker 4: an outstanding job.
- 7:02Speaker 5: You know, we do know.
- 7:02Speaker 4: I mean, Shatley is a backup center for us. If
- 7:04Speaker 4: something would happened to Luke, obviously you know Tyler would
- 7:07Speaker 4: be the one to go in. But there's no no
- 7:10Speaker 4: conversation at all about that. Fully confident in Luke.
- 7:16Speaker 1: The Doug hasn't fully told us yet. I'm going to
- 7:18Speaker 1: speak for him and say Cam Robinson is definitely playing
- 7:21Speaker 1: in this game on Sunday. Likely that means Walker little
- 7:24Speaker 1: move over to left guard, and then he's committed to
- 7:27Speaker 1: keeping Fortner at center at least for now. So I'll
- 7:30Speaker 1: just let everybody know that's probably what's gonna end up happening.
- 7:33Speaker 1: But how much can Cam help that?
- 7:34Speaker 5: I think a lot.
- 7:35Speaker 2: You know, we got the chance to see him before practice,
- 7:38Speaker 2: then I go down to the practice field afterwards to
- 7:40Speaker 2: grab a coach in the player. So I got to
- 7:42Speaker 2: see him at the end of practice yesterday and then
- 7:44Speaker 2: going off to the side with the offensive lineman. He
- 7:46Speaker 2: looks good, and he looks motivated, and he looks hungry.
- 7:50Speaker 2: He was very energetic yesterday. I thought that they might
- 7:55Speaker 2: put Tyler Shatley in at center right, and I was
- 7:57Speaker 2: clearly reaching on that when according to the head coach,
- 8:01Speaker 2: I'm absolutely believed that Cam Robinson is going to play
- 8:06Speaker 2: on Sunday, and I think he might play well.
- 8:08Speaker 3: Yeah, and I think they wanted to make sure this
- 8:10Speaker 3: week that he was ready to do that.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Doug.
- 8:14Speaker 3: He putting words in Doug's mouth. But when he was
- 8:17Speaker 3: asked about Cam, you had mentioned yesterday that he wasn't
- 8:19Speaker 3: in great shape and training camp. Doug said something to
- 8:22Speaker 3: the effect of.
- 8:24Speaker 5: He knew what he.
- 8:25Speaker 3: Needed to get ready. So I think Cam knew in August. Well, okay,
- 8:28Speaker 3: it's it's great, but I'm not playing until October. It
- 8:32Speaker 3: feels like he knew what he had to do to
- 8:34Speaker 3: get ready by October. I'm with you, guys, I'd be
- 8:36Speaker 3: surprised if he doesn't play, and you know, it's not
- 8:39Speaker 3: fair to think he's going to change the entire offensive line,
- 8:42Speaker 3: but he is a really good run blocker, and you know,
- 8:45Speaker 3: your best guys are your best guys for a reason.
- 8:49Speaker 3: It stands to reason that on the left side they
- 8:52Speaker 3: will be stronger with him than without him.
- 8:53Speaker 2: I do think he will have an impact because when
- 8:55Speaker 2: you move Walker Little, who's a really good football player inside,
- 8:59Speaker 2: now you've to positions. You got Leonard Floyd coming from
- 9:02Speaker 2: the outside, we expect to see von Miller coming from
- 9:04Speaker 2: the outside. They're a talented defensive front, and to have
- 9:07Speaker 2: a guy like that who is a top competitor, I mean,
- 9:11Speaker 2: that's the best way to describe him.
- 9:12Speaker 5: He has an edge about him.
- 9:13Speaker 2: He wants to not only put you on the ground,
- 9:15Speaker 2: he wants you to stay there. And that's the kind
- 9:18Speaker 2: of mentality that I don't think we've seen from this
- 9:20Speaker 2: offensive line in his absence.
- 9:21Speaker 5: So it's good to have him back.
- 9:23Speaker 1: We talked about this team pressing and maybe just the
- 9:25Speaker 1: feel wasn't quite there last couple of weeks. Obviously, they
- 9:27Speaker 1: gut on track up against the Falcons. But Cam's got
- 9:29Speaker 1: a little ads dude to him, and that's what they
- 9:31Speaker 1: need on the line. He really works well with Anton Harrison,
- 9:34Speaker 1: the rookie right tackle, So I think just the energy
- 9:38Speaker 1: Cam rings sometimes can be helpful.
- 9:39Speaker 5: He doesn't have a little attitude, He has a lot.
- 9:42Speaker 3: But he's the guy who can get another guy's face
- 9:44Speaker 3: and will and you know, it's not everybody's personality type,
- 9:48Speaker 3: but it always has been Cam's. He's also the guy
- 9:51Speaker 3: who'll get in their face and then if something's going
- 9:53Speaker 3: on in the field that's untoward, if you will, he's
- 9:56Speaker 3: the guy who'll go get in the other team's face.
- 9:57Speaker 3: So he's always been that spirit leader, so to speak.
- 10:01Speaker 3: And I don't want to overplay it because there's other factors,
- 10:03Speaker 3: but he is that guy, and players and coaches have
- 10:10Speaker 3: always thought much more highly than maybe fans do who
- 10:13Speaker 3: are always looking at Okay, maybe this set giving up
- 10:16Speaker 3: Cam Robinson matters to this offense.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Well, it's been a long time since we've seen him too, right,
- 10:20Speaker 2: he hasn't been in the lineup since the Dallas game
- 10:22Speaker 2: last year. He wasn't on that entire run to the
- 10:26Speaker 2: playoffs or into the playoffs, so it's been a long time.
- 10:28Speaker 5: It'll be good to have him.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Back, all right, Stay with us. We're gonna hear from
- 10:31Speaker 1: Trevor Lawrence what he had to say about the upcoming
- 10:33Speaker 1: game against the Bill. Welcome back into this Thursday edition
- 10:45Speaker 1: of Jags Am got a big game on Sunday against
- 10:48Speaker 1: the Buffalo Bills, who are playing amazing football right now.
- 10:50Speaker 1: We talked to Trevor Lawrence earlier this week, and he's
- 10:53Speaker 1: always complimentary of the teams that they're playing, but someone
- 10:56Speaker 1: asked him about Josh Allen and what he brings to
- 10:58Speaker 1: the table, and here's what he had to say.
- 11:01Speaker 6: He's a great player, obviously, and I'll put we played
- 11:03Speaker 6: against them two years ago and we're going into that game,
- 11:06Speaker 6: and just the just the threat that he poses, you know,
- 11:09Speaker 6: running the ball, throwing the ball, extending plays obviously, not
- 11:14Speaker 6: just end their offense, their receivers, their line, their backs.
- 11:17Speaker 6: I think every all those guys are capable of making plays,
- 11:21Speaker 6: and obviously it starts with him and just his ability.
- 11:23Speaker 6: I think.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Talking there about Josh Allen's ability to extend those plays,
- 11:30Speaker 1: that goes back to third down and how successful they've been.
- 11:32Speaker 1: But I think they're above fifty percent on conversions on
- 11:34Speaker 1: third down and that's what makes that offense I lethal
- 11:38Speaker 1: they just.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Have their entire playbook open, right. They are always in
- 11:42Speaker 2: manageable situations because they've got the long game with Stefon
- 11:46Speaker 2: Diggs and Gabriel Davis. They've got the intermediate game with
- 11:50Speaker 2: Dawson Knox and the rookie tight end. They just have
- 11:53Speaker 2: so many and they and they run the ball, which
- 11:55Speaker 2: they haven't done, you know, very much the last couple
- 11:57Speaker 2: of years. They're just a complete offense. And when you're
- 12:01Speaker 2: in thirty three fifty third down, I mean, wow, you
- 12:06Speaker 2: can do whatever you want.
- 12:07Speaker 3: Well, he gives them such an interesting dynamic. Think about
- 12:09Speaker 3: last week when it felt like Trevor Lawrence running a
- 12:13Speaker 3: little bit sort of gave the Jaguars a little bit
- 12:17Speaker 3: of confidence, and on third down a couple of those
- 12:20Speaker 3: conversions were big. Well, they've always got that with Josh Allen,
- 12:24Speaker 3: and he's such a big man that on third and five,
- 12:28Speaker 3: the defense has to account for him running even when
- 12:32Speaker 3: the play may not feel like a run with any
- 12:35Speaker 3: other quarterback. So I think that gives them a huge
- 12:38Speaker 3: advantage on third down because he'll always do it. Some
- 12:40Speaker 3: quarterbacks just won't take that chance, won't use their bodies.
- 12:45Speaker 5: So they're a tough out they really are.
- 12:47Speaker 2: He's as big to give people a perspective as Josh
- 12:50Speaker 2: Allen had his biggest.
- 12:51Speaker 5: Trade on Walk.
- 12:53Speaker 3: Well, he is Josh Allen.
- 12:56Speaker 5: I see what you do there.
- 12:58Speaker 1: On buffalo defensive side of the ball. The injury report
- 13:00Speaker 1: is pretty extensive for them. They are hopeful that von
- 13:03Speaker 1: Viller von Miller might come back at some point. I
- 13:06Speaker 1: don't know if he'll playing. That's good day, not for us,
- 13:08Speaker 1: not for us. Trey White had an injury last week,
- 13:12Speaker 1: and there's some other players, but as a whole, Buffalo's
- 13:15Speaker 1: defense is no slouch either, and Trevor talked about some
- 13:19Speaker 1: of the issues that they cause when they're on the field.
- 13:25Speaker 6: These are these are big games, but really, especially this
- 13:28Speaker 6: early season, every every game is a big game, no
- 13:30Speaker 6: matter if it's NFC, AFC, if it's a division game.
- 13:33Speaker 6: You're trying to get as many wins as possible to
- 13:35Speaker 6: put you in a good position at the end of
- 13:36Speaker 6: the season. So and this will do that for sure.
- 13:39Speaker 6: And obviously it's an AFC game, it's a it's a
- 13:42Speaker 6: big one, all right.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Big game. We know we've gone over that with with
- 13:48Speaker 1: him and a little bit of what they're going to
- 13:50Speaker 1: be able to do this will this will be telling
- 13:52Speaker 1: the sense of they've struggled on offense against some teams
- 13:54Speaker 1: that maybe didn't have as good of a defense. What
- 13:56Speaker 1: will this show if they're able to kind of convert
- 13:58Speaker 1: and be the team that we hope they can be.
- 14:01Speaker 2: I think it'll show that Cam Robinson's improved the offensive line.
- 14:03Speaker 2: I mean, you're gonna need that. You're going to have
- 14:05Speaker 2: to be able to run the ball against these guys,
- 14:07Speaker 2: because last week, if you saw the Dolphins game, when
- 14:11Speaker 2: they build a lead, they just sent everyone and they
- 14:14Speaker 2: have a wonderful rotation of pass rushers. If you're a
- 14:17Speaker 2: Bills fan, I mean, they can hit you with the
- 14:18Speaker 2: big guy. They can hit you with with now Von Miller,
- 14:21Speaker 2: who's gonna play in third down situations probably in his
- 14:24Speaker 2: first game back, or Leonard Floyd.
- 14:26Speaker 5: They can do a lot of different things.
- 14:27Speaker 2: And with Sean McDermott running the defense, you know, they
- 14:30Speaker 2: like to send as much pressure as possible, so you
- 14:33Speaker 2: better be able to run the ball to slow that down.
- 14:35Speaker 3: Well, if they can score against this team, it shows
- 14:37Speaker 3: you they're okay. I mean, there's been so much angst
- 14:43Speaker 3: about this offense. I think eventually it's gonna work, because
- 14:48Speaker 3: there's too much talent on this team for it not
- 14:49Speaker 3: to work. It's just a matter of when it gets going.
- 14:52Speaker 3: I think, overall, what's interesting about this game, Brian, is
- 14:55Speaker 3: I think about the perception change if the Jaguars win
- 14:57Speaker 3: this all of a sudden. You know, right now everybody's
- 15:00Speaker 3: talking about the Bills being knee teen or about Miami
- 15:03Speaker 3: last week. You win this, now you're three and two,
- 15:06Speaker 3: both three and two, and you have a time advanta job.
- 15:08Speaker 3: So it's a huge game in that sense. If the
- 15:10Speaker 3: Bills win, it's gonna be tough for the Jaguars to
- 15:12Speaker 3: catch that team in terms of getting any any sort
- 15:15Speaker 3: of playoff thing. If the Jaguars win it all of
- 15:18Speaker 3: a sudden, they're the flavor of the week next week.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Well, and it'll be interesting to see because remember the
- 15:21Speaker 2: Kansas City game was the big game, and they did
- 15:24Speaker 2: not have a good week of practice. So I expect
- 15:27Speaker 2: talking to these guys on Sunday morning to.
- 15:29Speaker 5: Hear we had a really good week of practice. Because
- 15:31Speaker 5: they know it.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Dug into maybe that in his press conference yesterday. They
- 15:34Speaker 2: know what it takes to be ready for one of
- 15:36Speaker 2: these games. One of these teams.
- 15:38Speaker 1: How much of is it gonna come down to offensive
- 15:40Speaker 1: keeping the ball and keeping the ball out of the
- 15:43Speaker 1: other Josh Allen's hands, and just having the offense on
- 15:46Speaker 1: the field more often for the Jay you know.
- 15:47Speaker 2: John, they can score so fast. I'm not sure how
- 15:50Speaker 2: much time of possession matters. I think every possession in
- 15:54Speaker 2: terms of the result matters more than how long it
- 15:56Speaker 2: takes to get there.
- 15:57Speaker 5: You're gonna need points.
- 15:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm never I'm sorry, Bryan. I'm never a big
- 16:01Speaker 3: to keep the ball out of the other team's hands
- 16:04Speaker 3: just for the sake of doing that, because I've always
- 16:06Speaker 3: believed at some point, if you're scoring, no matter how
- 16:09Speaker 3: much the other team has the ball, they can't keep
- 16:11Speaker 3: up with you. So I think more than that guy
- 16:14Speaker 3: is just when they get the ball past the fifty,
- 16:18Speaker 3: which Jags have done a lot this year and will do.
- 16:23Speaker 3: They have to turn that into touchdowns and points and
- 16:25Speaker 3: not punts some frustration. So if anything is really defined
- 16:29Speaker 3: the offense, it's been the opportunities there third downs and
- 16:33Speaker 3: then not red zone, and then you look.
- 16:35Speaker 5: At the status sheet.
- 16:36Speaker 3: They haven't taken advantage of it, so there's not that
- 16:38Speaker 3: much broken if you take advantage of the big situations.
- 16:42Speaker 3: They're playing well enough to get themselves there, but then
- 16:44Speaker 3: sort of fading in that moment.
- 16:45Speaker 2: Well, just to build on that real quick, the drag
- 16:47Speaker 2: Wars have nine red zone trips in four games. Nine
- 16:50Speaker 2: that's two and slightly more than that in four games,
- 16:55Speaker 2: but three of those came right in Week one and
- 16:57Speaker 2: they scored three touchdowns. Since then, they've had six trips
- 17:01Speaker 2: and only one touchdown. They've got to get to the
- 17:04Speaker 2: red zone more, and you get there by staying on
- 17:07Speaker 2: the field on third down, at which they're only converting
- 17:09Speaker 2: thirty one percent of the time. It's about getting to
- 17:12Speaker 2: the red zone and taking advantage of the opportunities this week.
- 17:15Speaker 3: But they've been past the fifty a lot, so it's
- 17:17Speaker 3: not like there's been some years around here where you
- 17:21Speaker 3: looked at it in the offense, you know, it was
- 17:24Speaker 3: almost pointless to do these kind of conversations because they
- 17:26Speaker 3: weren't doing anything. So you're like, okay, well we can
- 17:28Speaker 3: talk about it, but it's not can get fixed. This
- 17:30Speaker 3: doesn't feel like that. It just feels like, again big moments.
- 17:35Speaker 3: Red zone's a great stat but you've been at the
- 17:36Speaker 3: thirty five of the teams a lot and haven't gotten
- 17:40Speaker 3: the ball in the end zone.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Missed opportunities. Hopefully they take advantage they will need to
- 17:43Speaker 1: against Buffalo. Stay with us as we look at he will,
- 17:46Speaker 1: he owned, he might. Coming up after the break, Welcome
- 17:54Speaker 1: back to Jack Sam as we're prepping for a big
- 17:56Speaker 1: game in London against the Buffalo Bills. We're gonna do
- 18:00Speaker 1: so he will, he won't, he might. This week presented
- 18:02Speaker 1: by Suddeth Brian, Who do you have this week?
- 18:04Speaker 2: I'm taking Josh Allen the Jack Wars Josh Allen to
- 18:07Speaker 2: be clear on that one.
- 18:08Speaker 5: He'll be a force again this week.
- 18:10Speaker 2: I'm not sure he's gonna get three sacks, right, but
- 18:13Speaker 2: he told me yesterday he's heard the three sacks, no sacks,
- 18:17Speaker 2: no sacks, three sacks criticism, which is be more consistent
- 18:20Speaker 2: and show up every week. So he'll show up this week.
- 18:23Speaker 2: And he's very motivated to finish, he said it. Coach
- 18:27Speaker 2: Bill Shoey told me that yesterday. So he will finish.
- 18:31Speaker 2: You know, in fact, he won't have three sacks because
- 18:33Speaker 2: what you're gonna see is the Bills are looking for
- 18:36Speaker 2: Josh Allen. He got him in twenty twenty one. He
- 18:38Speaker 2: got the Falcons last week. They're not gonna let him
- 18:41Speaker 2: get him that much, but he might open things up
- 18:44Speaker 2: on the other side for Trae von Walker, who had
- 18:46Speaker 2: two sacks in the first four games and who Bill
- 18:49Speaker 2: Shuey told me yesterday is also showing a lot of
- 18:52Speaker 2: signs of life in the past.
- 18:54Speaker 5: Rush.
- 18:54Speaker 2: I know you don't see it on game day yet,
- 18:56Speaker 2: but Shuey believes it's coming. So it might be a
- 18:59Speaker 2: situation where Josh Shallon opens it up for trayvon Walker
- 19:02Speaker 2: and we finally see that big day from him.
- 19:05Speaker 3: Well, I went with Christian Kirk. He will, you know,
- 19:09Speaker 3: and he's gonna be part of it from here on out.
- 19:11Speaker 3: And there were times in the first two or three
- 19:14Speaker 3: weeks where it felt like Trevor wasn't sure exactly how
- 19:19Speaker 3: to work everybody into the offense. This year, it felt
- 19:22Speaker 3: like that's going away a little bit. So Christian Kirk
- 19:26Speaker 3: won't disappear. And I don't mean to use that word
- 19:29Speaker 3: with Christian Kirk. I don't think he has really disappeared,
- 19:31Speaker 3: but he's going to be part of it and he
- 19:34Speaker 3: might have his you know, it's almost not fair to
- 19:37Speaker 3: call it a breakout game with Christian because he's so
- 19:39Speaker 3: consistent when he gets the ball. But this might be
- 19:42Speaker 3: the week where it looks like last year for him
- 19:46Speaker 3: and what's so important about him. As we've all talked about,
- 19:50Speaker 3: I'm not sure about Zay Jones's status yet day to
- 19:54Speaker 3: day it sounds like he's gonna be game time decision.
- 19:56Speaker 3: But the trust that Trevor has with Christian Kirk against
- 19:59Speaker 3: this Bill defense, that might might I see what you're
- 20:03Speaker 3: doing again following the format, that might be a really
- 20:08Speaker 3: key part of the Jaguars offense this week, and it
- 20:10Speaker 3: might be what Trevor really depends on.
- 20:12Speaker 1: I'm going to go with Andre Cisco for my choice
- 20:15Speaker 1: this week. He's been a bit of a ballhawk so far.
- 20:17Speaker 1: He's been really impressive in the first four games, So
- 20:19Speaker 1: I'm gonna say he will get his hands on the
- 20:21Speaker 1: football this week, whether it's an interception, forcing a fumble.
- 20:24Speaker 1: I think he'll be involved in a turnover somehow and
- 20:28Speaker 1: he won't have any issues with fumbling again. I know
- 20:31Speaker 1: some of his teammates were getting on him after that
- 20:33Speaker 1: interception last week when he fumbled and Boye Luken was
- 20:36Speaker 1: able to get on the football, so they kept it
- 20:37Speaker 1: but obviously never won a fumble. After getting an interception,
- 20:40Speaker 1: I think he might finally find the end zone. He's
- 20:42Speaker 1: had two opportunities on interceptions that could have been pick
- 20:45Speaker 1: sixes that weren't. So I think if he does get
- 20:47Speaker 1: another interception he's in that position again, he'll he'll find
- 20:50Speaker 1: pay dirt.
- 20:51Speaker 3: And here's hoping, Brian, i' let you speak to this.
- 20:54Speaker 3: He also might be the most underrated, really good player
- 20:57Speaker 3: on this team, without a doubt, and one of the
- 21:00Speaker 3: better safeties this team's had in a long long time.
- 21:02Speaker 3: He's growing into that you thought he might be that
- 21:04Speaker 3: when he was drafted, because he was drafted lower than
- 21:06Speaker 3: he probably should have been.
- 21:08Speaker 5: I don't talk about him enough. I don't.
- 21:10Speaker 3: I probably don't think about him enough in terms of
- 21:11Speaker 3: being really, really good. But he's starting to get to
- 21:14Speaker 3: that level of do you resign this gap? Oh, I
- 21:18Speaker 3: have to get him well, you know, because he's starting
- 21:20Speaker 3: to get to the level where with all the salary
- 21:23Speaker 3: caps and if.
- 21:24Speaker 2: You're worried about being able to afford him, it tells you.
- 21:27Speaker 5: How good he has become.
- 21:29Speaker 2: As my point, and folks who are watching on TV
- 21:31Speaker 2: are at a bit of a disadvantage because they don't
- 21:33Speaker 2: always show you enough of the screen to see how
- 21:36Speaker 2: deep he can get.
- 21:37Speaker 5: He's big enough to.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Come down into the box and play the run right,
- 21:40Speaker 2: but he's also a guy in that deep third who
- 21:43Speaker 2: can roam from sideline to the opposite hash mark and
- 21:46Speaker 2: the other way. He's a tremendous football player and getting
- 21:49Speaker 2: better every week. He's the kind of guy that you
- 21:51Speaker 2: want to build your team on. The salary CAP's gonna
- 21:54Speaker 2: take a big bump up in twenty twenty five. They're
- 21:57Speaker 2: gonna have to find a way to get him. You
- 21:59Speaker 2: don't but players like that go. But he's not a
- 22:01Speaker 2: guy that everybody has talked about for the last year. So, oh,
- 22:04Speaker 2: how are they going to rework this going forward? I
- 22:06Speaker 2: think think he's gonna have to because safety isn't one
- 22:08Speaker 2: of those key positions. Right quarterback, left tackle, wide receiver,
- 22:11Speaker 2: pass rusher, in corner are the five premium positions. But
- 22:14Speaker 2: a safety who can do so many different things like that,
- 22:17Speaker 2: you gotta find a way to do that.
- 22:18Speaker 1: And he makes others on the defense look good too.
- 22:20Speaker 1: I think he helps out certainly, him and Tyson Campbell
- 22:22Speaker 1: being out there together.
- 22:24Speaker 2: He would have been a first round pick instead of
- 22:25Speaker 2: a third round pick had he not torn his acl
- 22:27Speaker 2: early in his final year at Syracuse. He's that good.
- 22:31Speaker 2: He's big, he's strong, he's smart, super motivated, super motivated.
- 22:35Speaker 2: As you talked to him yesterday, you can tell he's
- 22:37Speaker 2: a really good football player.
- 22:38Speaker 5: He's not when you want to get away.
- 22:40Speaker 1: I expect a big game from him on Sunday against
- 22:42Speaker 1: the Bills. Stay with us, we'll have our final preview
- 22:44Speaker 1: what we expect this weekend on Jags Am. This is
- 22:50Speaker 1: our final little bit from outside of London, England before
- 22:53Speaker 1: we head home and before we have a big game
- 22:55Speaker 1: on Sunday. Are we going to be heading back to
- 22:57Speaker 1: and oh what do we think?
- 22:59Speaker 3: It's tough to call him as the winners this week
- 23:03Speaker 3: because the Bills are playing so so well, but I've
- 23:05Speaker 3: been sort of negative about that all week and ceter
- 23:08Speaker 3: so I'm gonna go into the weekend thinking more about
- 23:10Speaker 3: the opportunity they win this again. All of a sudden,
- 23:13Speaker 3: they become the team that everybody was thinking they were
- 23:16Speaker 3: gonna be before the season, and there, all of a
- 23:18Speaker 3: sudden that hot team.
- 23:19Speaker 5: So can't quite pick him, but maybe well I'll jump
- 23:23Speaker 5: in right.
- 23:24Speaker 2: I mean, I think that this team gets the over
- 23:29Speaker 2: the disappointment. Right the Houston Texans game was a massive disappointment.
- 23:33Speaker 2: I think this is that counterbalance, that delightful opportunity that
- 23:37Speaker 2: comes up that you're not expecting. The Bills are coming
- 23:40Speaker 2: over here. Talking to players all week long, you know
- 23:43Speaker 2: it's real how bad it's maybe not the right word,
- 23:46Speaker 2: but how you feel on Friday and Saturday, and you
- 23:49Speaker 2: got to work to get ready to play on Sunday.
- 23:51Speaker 2: And I think the Jaguars understand the opportunity to get
- 23:53Speaker 2: off to a good start, and I think they stay
- 23:56Speaker 2: ahead of them. It's gonna be narrow, but I think
- 23:57Speaker 2: they get a couple of turnovers and they stay head
- 24:00Speaker 2: of the Bills and they pull off.
- 24:01Speaker 5: It would be a huge upset.
- 24:03Speaker 2: I think I haven't looked yet, but I imagine everyone
- 24:05Speaker 2: back in the stage is picking the Bills to win comfortably.
- 24:08Speaker 2: So my guess is is that this would be an upset,
- 24:11Speaker 2: And I think the Jaguars find a way to get
- 24:12Speaker 2: it done and get to three and two, and then
- 24:15Speaker 2: you got to come home to a Colts game that's
- 24:16Speaker 2: all of a sudden, surprisingly a big game.
- 24:19Speaker 1: I think with the bills volatility in the past, there's
- 24:22Speaker 1: always a chance that you know, the turnovers can be
- 24:24Speaker 1: coming from Josh Allen's way, so that's always an opportunity.
- 24:27Speaker 1: With the defense playing as well as they are, there's
- 24:28Speaker 1: a chance there. And I think for me, if you know,
- 24:31Speaker 1: not to be a happy in a lost situation, but
- 24:33Speaker 1: if we can see the offense score like they lose,
- 24:35Speaker 1: like thirty one to twenty eight, something like that, but
- 24:37Speaker 1: the offense gets to where we want them to be,
- 24:39Speaker 1: I'm very encouraged by that. So I'm hoping for a
- 24:42Speaker 1: good effort, hoping for one of those days for the
- 24:44Speaker 1: other Josh Allen and a good day for our Josh Allen.
- 24:47Speaker 1: So well, have to see what actually plays out on Sunday.
- 24:49Speaker 1: We appreciate you joining us on Jags Am. We'll check
- 24:51Speaker 1: in with you next week and of course to have
- 24:53Speaker 1: all your post game coverage for you.
