Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the almost Famous podcast with iHeartRadio. Hi everybody,
- 0:06Speaker 1: welcome back to the Almost Famous OG podcast. It's Trista
- 0:09Speaker 1: and Bob, who you know, finally is here. We've been
- 0:13Speaker 1: waiting for a long time.
- 0:14Speaker 2: So sorry, so sorry about that.
- 0:17Speaker 1: My god, It's fine. I was just doing work, which
- 0:20Speaker 1: is what I can do at any moment of any
- 0:22Speaker 1: day anyway. And we are so excited because we're going
- 0:26Speaker 1: to recap the first episode of season two of The
- 0:30Speaker 1: Golden Bachelor, one of my favorites. Yeah, and then with
- 0:34Speaker 1: Mel Owens. Obviously, he's been in the news since you
- 0:37Speaker 1: did that podcast, and there was talk about him maybe
- 0:42Speaker 1: not doing it, so I'm glad it's still going. And
- 0:44Speaker 1: I thought the episode was awesome. I am really excited
- 0:48Speaker 1: for this season.
- 0:49Speaker 2: I am too.
- 0:50Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, I gotta be honest. I don't know
- 0:53Speaker 3: what it was, but part of me was expecting not
- 0:55Speaker 3: to like Mel. I don't know if it was because
- 0:57Speaker 3: of all the noise we've heard around, you know, the podcast,
- 1:00Speaker 3: all that stuff. But I don't know if they coached him.
- 1:03Speaker 3: I don't know if this was his own call or not.
- 1:05Speaker 3: I think, I honestly think is probably a combination of both.
- 1:07Speaker 3: But he came right out and addressed the elephant in
- 1:09Speaker 3: the room right right away.
- 1:11Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:11Speaker 3: A couple of ladies as they were getting out of
- 1:13Speaker 3: the limos said some things to him, and he was like,
- 1:16Speaker 3: I am so sorry.
- 1:17Speaker 2: That was so insensitive, you know, And I get it.
- 1:20Speaker 2: I mean, if.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Anyone has said dumb things in passing and didn't realize
- 1:24Speaker 3: it would hurt somebody, that's totally me. I mean I've
- 1:27Speaker 3: done that a million times, and I mean no ill
- 1:29Speaker 3: to anybody.
- 1:30Speaker 2: And man, I've.
- 1:31Speaker 3: Said some things and I think it's all funny because
- 1:32Speaker 3: I make fun of me. You know, I would make
- 1:34Speaker 3: fun of myself and my own age, and so I
- 1:36Speaker 3: guess in turn. But whatever it was, he owned it
- 1:40Speaker 3: and it's over, right. I think he squashed it. It's over,
- 1:42Speaker 3: is over, I hope.
- 1:43Speaker 1: So yeah, I don't want them to rehash it every
- 1:45Speaker 1: single week. But yes, I am really glad he went
- 1:48Speaker 1: into the mansion and said, I am so sorry for
- 1:51Speaker 1: my comments. There's no age or number to spirit and
- 1:56Speaker 1: all of that. So but before we get into the episode,
- 2:00Speaker 1: Ashley and Ben did a little what do we call it?
- 2:04Speaker 1: Fantasy League for the Bat for the Golden Bachelor on bracketology,
- 2:09Speaker 1: which I had no idea about, which is actually so
- 2:11Speaker 1: much fun. I played based on me. I don't play
- 2:13Speaker 1: a Big Brother. I watch Big Brother, and I totally
- 2:16Speaker 1: would have done that with Big Brother had I known.
- 2:18Speaker 1: So anyway, we have brackets on bracketology, yes, and we
- 2:24Speaker 1: wanted to get in on the action too, So Bob,
- 2:28Speaker 1: do you want to go first? And and and of
- 2:30Speaker 1: course this is not sponsored. This is just for fun.
- 2:34Speaker 1: You know, we're doing this just for fun, picking our picks,
- 2:38Speaker 1: and we're going all the way to the end. And
- 2:40Speaker 1: this is before we watched the show. I mean, I
- 2:43Speaker 1: will say I got real confused, and I told our
- 2:45Speaker 1: producer while we were waiting for you, my brain is
- 2:49Speaker 1: not functioning that well these days. So I'm sorry for
- 2:52Speaker 1: my confusion. But I had watched a teeny tiny bit,
- 2:54Speaker 1: like just the Limo entrances, but we hadn't seen when
- 2:59Speaker 1: we made our predictions, right, any of the episodes, you know,
- 3:03Speaker 1: the good stuff. So we're going, we're fast forwarding all
- 3:06Speaker 1: the way to hometown picks, and we are in the
- 3:09Speaker 1: first Impressions bracket, which is like the most traditional bracket. Okay,
- 3:15Speaker 1: so why don't you start and tell me and I'll
- 3:18Speaker 1: say the same. What kind of went into your decision making? Yeah,
- 3:23Speaker 1: did you think about looks, career names? Did you study
- 3:25Speaker 1: the trailer and the clips? Tell me all the things?
- 3:29Speaker 3: So I will be honest, I looked at I think
- 3:33Speaker 3: my evaluation criteria probably was Looks.
- 3:39Speaker 2: If I looked in their bio or.
- 3:41Speaker 3: Whatever it was, that like whatever their little kind of
- 3:43Speaker 3: synopsis was, and it said that they were active, right,
- 3:46Speaker 3: if that was an important thing.
- 3:47Speaker 1: To them, totally, yep.
- 3:49Speaker 3: And that was important because I don't know Mel. I
- 3:52Speaker 3: don't know anything about Mel other than the podcast, right,
- 3:54Speaker 3: and the fact that he was a former football player.
- 3:56Speaker 3: And I think I told you Trista that one of
- 3:58Speaker 3: my buddies who's also a former NFL player knows him
- 4:01Speaker 3: or knew him years ago, And so.
- 4:03Speaker 2: I had nothing to go on. So I was like, Okay,
- 4:05Speaker 2: he said, and this is the last time.
- 4:07Speaker 3: I promised, this will be the last time we talked
- 4:08Speaker 3: about this. But he's like, I don't want any fake
- 4:10Speaker 3: hips and any of this. So I'm like, okay, he
- 4:12Speaker 3: wants active people, right, So in my mind, that went
- 4:15Speaker 3: into it.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Looks went into it, and.
- 4:17Speaker 3: Then self image of what I think he sees himself as.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Went into it too, right, So I was like, who.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Do I think, who do you want to be with?
- 4:27Speaker 2: Who he would he want to be with? Right?
- 4:28Speaker 1: And then he would want to see have in photos
- 4:31Speaker 1: next to him?
- 4:32Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, Like who do you want to and who's
- 4:34Speaker 3: got something going on that he would respect and admire
- 4:37Speaker 3: career wise? Because I know professional football guys. Man, they
- 4:40Speaker 3: you know, they they've reached the pinnacle and they expect
- 4:44Speaker 3: everyone else to reach it too, right, It's just the
- 4:46Speaker 3: way it's of they sure the beast and I and
- 4:48Speaker 3: I love that.
- 4:49Speaker 2: So that that's kind of what went into it for me.
- 4:51Speaker 2: And I was.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Guessing after a while at you know, as we got
- 4:55Speaker 3: as we went through these Rose ceremonies. I was guessing
- 4:58Speaker 3: because I was sight unseen on a lot of it.
- 5:00Speaker 3: But I feel like, after watching last night's episode, I
- 5:03Speaker 3: feel like my picks could be pretty.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Good awesome, Okay, So for me what went into it is, uh,
- 5:11Speaker 1: I looked back at the trailers and like the previews
- 5:15Speaker 1: that they've put out so far. And at first, you know,
- 5:20Speaker 1: I told you about my confusion. I thought we were
- 5:22Speaker 1: just picking five people. So I picked I picked one
- 5:27Speaker 1: based on the fact that she's the twin sister of
- 5:29Speaker 1: somebody else in the franchise. Yeah, and then and we'll
- 5:32Speaker 1: get into that, but we won't actually because I don't
- 5:34Speaker 1: have her going all the way. But that was that
- 5:37Speaker 1: first time. And then I looked at the trailers and
- 5:40Speaker 1: the like preview of the season that they've put out,
- 5:44Speaker 1: and I was like, Okay, who is in these previews.
- 5:47Speaker 2: That's smart, that's very smart. I should have done that.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Didn't even think about it.
- 5:52Speaker 1: So I looked at the previews and that's kind of
- 5:54Speaker 1: what I based, like the where I should get my
- 5:58Speaker 1: my bucket from you, I should pull from the bucket,
- 6:02Speaker 1: and then kind of used a little bit of what
- 6:05Speaker 1: you were saying, like where do they live? If they
- 6:08Speaker 1: lived in California. They kind of got some bonus points
- 6:11Speaker 1: because I think that I, as someone who has a
- 6:14Speaker 1: kid in high school, I don't think he's going to
- 6:16Speaker 1: want to move. I think his kid is probably a
- 6:19Speaker 1: junior or senior, so it seems like he's not gonna
- 6:22Speaker 1: like move just totally. Not that he couldn't move until later.
- 6:25Speaker 1: But anyway, I was thinking California.
- 6:27Speaker 2: I thought that was a big criteria for me too.
- 6:29Speaker 3: By the way, I was thinking easily commutable if they're
- 6:32Speaker 3: not in California, Seattle, maybe you know, Vegas, maybe because
- 6:36Speaker 3: there's a couple of ladies from Vegas.
- 6:38Speaker 2: So yeah, I was.
- 6:39Speaker 1: And I know there are women who would move, but
- 6:41Speaker 1: I feel like Teresa and Gary like kind of prove this.
- 6:44Speaker 1: It's really hard when you're their age and your family
- 6:47Speaker 1: is established where they're established, and you don't want to
- 6:50Speaker 1: leave your family and your grandkids.
- 6:51Speaker 2: And do you know my dentist.
- 6:53Speaker 3: So I was at my dentist appointment today just as
- 6:55Speaker 3: a side note, and yeah, I was watching I was
- 6:58Speaker 3: watching the last part of the up episode because and
- 7:01Speaker 3: she she as I walked in, she's like, well, what
- 7:03Speaker 3: are you doing? Cause I shut it off? And she goes,
- 7:05Speaker 3: well what are you doing? And I said, oh, I'm
- 7:08Speaker 3: just watching a show that I have to talk about tonight.
- 7:10Speaker 3: And she goes Golden Bachelor, and I said, yeah, I go,
- 7:14Speaker 3: you go, I go, Na, And now I know I
- 7:16Speaker 3: can't watch it while you're cleaning my teeth, and and
- 7:18Speaker 3: she goes, it's just such a shame what happened with
- 7:21Speaker 3: the last couple. She's like, why did they have to
- 7:22Speaker 3: try and get married and live together? Like just you know,
- 7:26Speaker 3: it would have been so great to have that companionship
- 7:28Speaker 3: and then they could have worked it out over time.
- 7:29Speaker 3: And she's like, no one's moving when they got grandkids
- 7:32Speaker 3: and kids. And I'm like, yeah, good point. And she
- 7:34Speaker 3: was probably fifty five maybe sixty, you know, and had
- 7:37Speaker 3: that opinion, and so I was like, wow, okay, that's good,
- 7:40Speaker 3: that's informative.
- 7:41Speaker 2: I'd already have my picks in. But thankfully she was thinking.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Like me, okay, okay, so who are your picks. Who
- 7:46Speaker 1: are your picks for hometowns.
- 7:47Speaker 3: Let's go one at a time, and before we do,
- 7:50Speaker 3: let's make sure that our producer, Heather, keeps close track
- 7:54Speaker 3: of these picks, because I think we should have something
- 7:57Speaker 3: some type of a wager, not a creepy, weird not
- 8:01Speaker 3: like that Ben and Ashley type of you know.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Yeah, No, we don't need to be giving each other's
- 8:06Speaker 1: shoulder massages, because I don't think Ryan would like that.
- 8:08Speaker 1: I don't suggest would like it either.
- 8:09Speaker 3: To be honest, Canyon would love it. She'd be like,
- 8:11Speaker 3: oh great, now at least he's touching somebody else.
- 8:13Speaker 2: Leave me alone. She says it a lot of time.
- 8:16Speaker 2: But I'm not as.
- 8:17Speaker 3: Worried about her rat I am of the silent, deadly
- 8:20Speaker 3: man that I had as a roommate twenty two years ago,
- 8:23Speaker 3: So we're not doing that.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Easton says Ben gives the best. Oh, I guess Ben
- 8:28Speaker 1: gives the best massages.
- 8:30Speaker 3: Well I did get a nice deep tissue massage from
- 8:32Speaker 3: him once, you know, all over body massage, and I
- 8:34Speaker 3: will say, uh, it was weird.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Now I'm just kidding.
- 8:37Speaker 3: It was delightful. Okay, we could you know what we
- 8:39Speaker 3: could do? We could do why don't we do? And
- 8:42Speaker 3: this is not a sponsor of our show, but maybe
- 8:44Speaker 3: we could make them one the app that you can
- 8:47Speaker 3: order someone a massage at their home.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Have you ever done that?
- 8:50Speaker 1: What do you mean? What do you mean through that?
- 8:52Speaker 2: You gets them all the time.
- 8:53Speaker 3: There's an app and you can get a massage and
- 8:55Speaker 3: they come to your home.
- 8:57Speaker 2: They set up a massage table on your map.
- 8:59Speaker 3: Oh yeah, they're like all license massage therapists and they
- 9:02Speaker 3: come down.
- 9:04Speaker 2: So if you win, I'll order you one of those,
- 9:06Speaker 2: or you can go conventional. That's okay.
- 9:08Speaker 3: Let's just not do four seasons, right, So I don't
- 9:10Speaker 3: want to, you know, miss my diapers and mortgage for
- 9:12Speaker 3: the month, So we'll just do a h we'll do
- 9:14Speaker 3: something like that though. I'll get you a massage and
- 9:16Speaker 3: you can get me one.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Yep.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Okay, done.
- 9:18Speaker 2: So when I get mine, just so you know, because
- 9:20Speaker 2: I have a feeling. Okay.
- 9:23Speaker 1: So who are your for hometowns?
- 9:25Speaker 2: Okay?
- 9:26Speaker 3: So I don't want to have this is a spoiler
- 9:29Speaker 3: alert everybody, because I happened to know that all of
- 9:32Speaker 3: mine made it through.
- 9:33Speaker 2: So I'm gonna save that part. Okay, I'll give you one.
- 9:36Speaker 2: I'm gonna give you one at the time, in the.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Order, hold on the mine, Come on, hurry, let's go.
- 9:41Speaker 3: I think Jerry Jerry is a hometown pick. Okay, Jerry
- 9:45Speaker 3: got the first impression Rose last night. Yep.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Based on that, she's not going to make it that far,
- 9:50Speaker 1: but go ahead.
- 9:51Speaker 2: Vallid Monica b okay Nicole?
- 9:56Speaker 1: Which one's Monica be the dentist or the flight attendant? Yes?
- 10:00Speaker 3: Yes, Nicole? Who is uh from Miami? Kiss KISSI Magoo,
- 10:06Speaker 3: hot lipschoola hand Nicole.
- 10:08Speaker 1: You've heard all the names because we called you the
- 10:10Speaker 1: kissing bandit. Go ahead.
- 10:12Speaker 2: He did get called all those names.
- 10:13Speaker 3: So welcome to the club, Nicole, and uh, Carol, that's
- 10:18Speaker 3: my last home toop pic So I've got Jerry, Monica,
- 10:21Speaker 3: b Nicole, and.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Carol you go, okay, Okay, I've got Roxanne Nice Roxanne.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Just I thought in one of the trailers there was
- 10:32Speaker 1: long brown here. I think it turned out to be
- 10:34Speaker 1: somebody else, But it's okay, Roxanne, Nicole, will you share
- 10:40Speaker 1: that sentiment the.
- 10:41Speaker 2: Dancer, the former Dallas Mavericks cheerleader.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Former dancer with the gorgeous blue eyes.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a good one.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Gorgeous blue eyes.
- 10:49Speaker 2: That's a really good one.
- 10:50Speaker 1: And Carol Okay, So where Carol and Nicole are are
- 10:54Speaker 1: two that we're sharing in the top four? Okay? So
- 10:57Speaker 1: what's your top three fantasy.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Suite fantasy sweets? Jerry again yep, Nicole.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Okay, and Carol okay. I've got Nicole, Carroll and Cindy. Okay.
- 11:09Speaker 1: What are your final two?
- 11:10Speaker 3: God, be honest, I'm really upset with myself on the
- 11:13Speaker 3: Cindy thing right now.
- 11:14Speaker 2: I'm really I'm really thinking that. Yeah.
- 11:17Speaker 3: And you know another one, Debbie, Debbie who didn't the
- 11:20Speaker 3: first time she found love was forty five.
- 11:22Speaker 2: She's a fitness professional. I liked her.
- 11:24Speaker 1: No, I'm so mad that I didn't pick her because
- 11:25Speaker 1: she lives in Denver, and I should have just voted
- 11:28Speaker 1: for my Denver girl.
- 11:30Speaker 3: You should have because historically you people do pretty well
- 11:32Speaker 3: in there in that town. So yeah, Carol, Jerry, Nicole,
- 11:35Speaker 3: and you have Carol, Cindy Nicole. Okay, I want to
- 11:39Speaker 3: switch it up now. I want to go to you
- 11:41Speaker 3: for your final two picks.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Okay, I've got Carol and Cindy.
- 11:45Speaker 2: Wow, I got Carol and Nicole.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Oh boy, okay, do we both have the same final pick? Ready?
- 11:53Speaker 2: Say on one on the three?
- 11:54Speaker 1: On three? One two three, Carol?
- 11:57Speaker 2: Carrol, But you didn't say it on Wait I said one,
- 12:04Speaker 2: two three, Carol? What was I supposed to do?
- 12:08Speaker 1: We were supposed to say it at the same time.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Oh okay, I thought you met. So was it on
- 12:12Speaker 2: three or are we going to say it on three?
- 12:14Speaker 1: Okay? Anyway, that's in.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Every movie that they do that violent. So we both
- 12:19Speaker 2: think Carol's the way.
- 12:20Speaker 1: We both picked Carol. Oh my gosh, that's funny. So
- 12:23Speaker 1: how we're going to determine is the number two and
- 12:26Speaker 1: number three?
- 12:26Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 12:27Speaker 3: Yep, because yeah, that's really going to come down to it. Now,
- 12:31Speaker 3: how did you Okay, what was the driving because we
- 12:34Speaker 3: neither one of us knew anything about these ladies.
- 12:37Speaker 2: What was the And I will tell you this last night.
- 12:41Speaker 3: When we start talking about the show, Actually, i'll tell
- 12:43Speaker 3: you one of my sleeper picks that I really thought
- 12:46Speaker 3: was going to go far, and she got.
- 12:49Speaker 2: Sent home the first night.
- 12:50Speaker 3: And then when I went back through my back through
- 12:53Speaker 3: my stuff, I was like.
- 12:55Speaker 2: Oh, wait a minute, I didn't choose her, and I
- 13:00Speaker 2: was shocked.
- 13:01Speaker 3: So I had her getting in the wait, did I
- 13:03Speaker 3: have her getting in the first one? I didn't, So
- 13:06Speaker 3: I'm shocked by that. Yes, I was, because from the pictures,
- 13:09Speaker 3: I'm like, oh, that girl for sure. So what I
- 13:12Speaker 3: was thinking, I mean, this is it's very superficial, right,
- 13:15Speaker 3: But I was thinking, oh, he's going to choose you know,
- 13:19Speaker 3: just based on those comments. I mean, it's horrible that
- 13:22Speaker 3: that's what I was doing. But I'm like, I got
- 13:24Speaker 3: this guy dialed. I got this guy dialed. I'm looking
- 13:26Speaker 3: at anybody close to seventy. I'm like, oh, he's probably
- 13:29Speaker 3: not picking them. But then then I started thinking the
- 13:32Speaker 3: antithesis theory. Maybe because he said these things, now he
- 13:38Speaker 3: wanted to prove to everybody and he wasn't that guy right,
- 13:43Speaker 3: So he's going to keep a couple of picks that
- 13:45Speaker 3: maybe are a little bit older or maybe don't look
- 13:48Speaker 3: as young or whatever as he. And so you know,
- 13:52Speaker 3: I think I started he started messing with my mind.
- 13:54Speaker 2: I got in my own head.
- 13:54Speaker 3: I think it would have been much easier if I
- 13:56Speaker 3: would have just stuck with my original theory. So it's
- 13:58Speaker 3: coming down to points for us. We both got Carol.
- 14:08Speaker 4: Escape to the coast at the Porta Fino Hotel and
- 14:11Speaker 4: Marina in Redondo Beach.
- 14:13Speaker 5: Wake up to sweeping ocean views. Then dine by the
- 14:16Speaker 5: marina at the Bileen Kitchen, where fresh flavors meet stunning
- 14:20Speaker 5: waterfront views.
- 14:21Speaker 4: At the Dockside Adventure Center, rent a kayak or paddle board,
- 14:25Speaker 4: or hop on a complimentary bike for a ride along
- 14:28Speaker 4: the coast.

- 14:33Speaker 5: parking and a fifty dollars resort credit with promo code iHeart.
- 14:37Speaker 4: Visit Hotel Portafino dot com to book or call eight
- 14:40Speaker 4: zero zero four six eight forty two ninety two.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Okay, So moving on to the recap. Yes, I just
- 14:52Speaker 1: in general, I feel like, you know, the show is
- 14:56Speaker 1: with a whole new production team now, and I think
- 14:59Speaker 1: there was like curiosity as to whether or not it
- 15:02Speaker 1: would look the same, feel the same, be the same
- 15:05Speaker 1: format all of that. I feel like in general it
- 15:08Speaker 1: really is the same everything except for they did the
- 15:13Speaker 1: rose ceremony outside by the pool yep. And then I
- 15:18Speaker 1: feel like the itms kind of have a more like
- 15:20Speaker 1: sophisticated look to them, Like in the background it was
- 15:24Speaker 1: really pretty and very high definition.
- 15:27Speaker 3: Well. The other thing that I thought was interesting was,
- 15:30Speaker 3: as you recall, we were always battle in daylight, like
- 15:33Speaker 3: we were moving through the night because they they wanted
- 15:36Speaker 3: the appeal or the appearance I should say to be
- 15:40Speaker 3: that it was still nighttime and we would get done
- 15:43Speaker 3: at four forty five in the morning, right Soun's coming up.
- 15:47Speaker 2: These ladies and mel clearly worked through the night. I mean,
- 15:51Speaker 2: the sun was ah.
- 15:52Speaker 1: But you know what, I think that happened in Golden
- 15:55Speaker 1: Bachelor one. I want to say that they Yeah, I
- 15:58Speaker 1: feel like there was another another one of these that
- 16:03Speaker 1: that was something that happened that they moved on or
- 16:09Speaker 1: they kept going until kind.
- 16:11Speaker 2: Of I felt sorry for the Goldens.
- 16:13Speaker 1: I mean, I totally did. I'm like, come on, I mean,
- 16:17Speaker 1: I'm I'm like if I'm in bed by nine thirty.
- 16:20Speaker 1: I'm so happy and I can't even imagine it was.
- 16:23Speaker 1: And it's a lot because it's not just you're at
- 16:26Speaker 1: home and you're Jammy's like staying up late. You're like
- 16:29Speaker 1: on there's television cameras everywhere, so you're not just chilling
- 16:34Speaker 1: watching a movie.
- 16:35Speaker 3: Yeah, the women are wearing heels and dresses and it's like, yes,
- 16:38Speaker 3: they're on their feet all night, and it's just yeah,
- 16:41Speaker 3: I mean, you're you're having some drinks.
- 16:43Speaker 2: You know, I know it's not like it used to be,
- 16:44Speaker 2: but you know.
- 16:45Speaker 3: They're having some drinks. And I feel like that's that's
- 16:47Speaker 3: exhausting for anybody. And as a fifty some year old man,
- 16:50Speaker 3: I can tell you MEL had to be exhausted because
- 16:54Speaker 3: I go to bed every night around nine o'clock.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, right, seriously, So okay, what did Oh Yeah,
- 17:02Speaker 1: the furniture, it definitely looked more modern. They have definitely
- 17:05Speaker 1: done some things to change up the interior, which I
- 17:09Speaker 1: actually really liked.
- 17:10Speaker 2: I thought it looked good. It looked really good.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Yeah, and the limo pieces were a little speedier than normal.
- 17:17Speaker 1: I felt like there wasn't a lot of time spent
- 17:19Speaker 1: on each person's shick stick or whatever.
- 17:22Speaker 3: Right, which I'm happy about because I hate the stick. Yeah,
- 17:25Speaker 3: And so I was actually I was happy with them
- 17:28Speaker 3: kind of motoring through that. There was only the one
- 17:30Speaker 3: woman on the on the motorcycle who I really thought.
- 17:32Speaker 3: She was adorable and I loved her story and I
- 17:35Speaker 3: liked their connection too. In fact, when I after watching
- 17:39Speaker 3: that first episode, I'm like, oh, I should have had
- 17:41Speaker 3: her in my final.
- 17:42Speaker 1: I same, same, yeah.
- 17:45Speaker 3: But I really like her. She could be a sleeper,
- 17:47Speaker 3: she and Debbie could both be sleepers.
- 17:48Speaker 1: But she's not a sleeper. She gets the first yeah,
- 17:52Speaker 1: one one, so I don't think she's a sleeper. I
- 17:54Speaker 1: think she's definitely coming out the gate, like you know
- 17:58Speaker 1: in Fuego. Yeah, And all the women were saying, we
- 18:02Speaker 1: think that you're going to get the first impression Ros
- 18:04Speaker 1: because that motorcycle entrance was amazing, and I think they
- 18:07Speaker 1: really connected on like the active lifestyle thing, you know,
- 18:12Speaker 1: like her fifty one trophies or whatever.
- 18:14Speaker 2: Well, and then she got into her story about her family.
- 18:17Speaker 3: Holy smokes, I mean that was wasn't that crazy?
- 18:21Speaker 1: I literally went like, oh, like this when she said
- 18:24Speaker 1: that her husband showed up and took her son, like.
- 18:27Speaker 2: Well the first part.
- 18:28Speaker 3: Actually, I actually walked into our bedroom and told Kenyon,
- 18:31Speaker 3: I'm like, when you watch the show, you are going
- 18:34Speaker 3: to die about this woman's story. She goes in to
- 18:36Speaker 3: give birth for her first child, the most exciting and
- 18:41Speaker 3: a mom can say this more than a dad even,
- 18:43Speaker 3: but and terrifying moment of your life as an adult.
- 18:48Speaker 2: And he just doesn't show up and disappears. It's like,
- 18:52Speaker 2: what the hell?
- 18:53Speaker 3: Like I honestly was like, if this dude is still around,
- 18:56Speaker 3: we should go find him and roll him, you know,
- 18:58Speaker 3: and you know pass, but it's like she and she
- 19:01Speaker 3: forgave him, which I think, you know, it was pretty crazy.
- 19:04Speaker 3: But yeah, so then you had a little bit of
- 19:06Speaker 3: history about Mel's life. You see him with his sons interacting.
- 19:09Speaker 3: They show some history and some footage of him playing
- 19:11Speaker 3: football and he was a baller. I mean, he was
- 19:13Speaker 3: obviously a pro football player, but his sons seemed like
- 19:16Speaker 3: really sweet kids and like they have a nice relationship
- 19:19Speaker 3: with their dad, which I thought was nice to see.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, I love that. Yeah, I love that
- 19:26Speaker 1: dialogue between him and his boys. You can tell that
- 19:30Speaker 1: they have a really close relationship. Yeah, and they are
- 19:34Speaker 1: excited for him. And you know, want him to find happiness.
- 19:38Speaker 1: So I thought that was really really sweet. And he
- 19:41Speaker 1: said that he's only been in love once in his life,
- 19:44Speaker 1: which I kind of found hard to believe, being that
- 19:48Speaker 1: he had a professional football career and maybe he's just
- 19:52Speaker 1: being honest that he had relationships, but not like, you know,
- 19:56Speaker 1: something that he had with his ex wife, right right,
- 19:59Speaker 1: So oh that was a little shocking to me. Not
- 20:02Speaker 1: that it matters, but it was. I was just like, wow,
- 20:05Speaker 1: that's interesting.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Yeah. But then but then Cheryl rolls down on that motorcycle.
- 20:09Speaker 2: That could be the second time. Who knows. It could
- 20:10Speaker 2: have been love at first.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Sight for him, a true story. It also could be
- 20:15Speaker 1: a red flag. So we'll see what happens, what transpires.
- 20:19Speaker 1: Do you think that they're going to get engaged whoever
- 20:21Speaker 1: he picks, If it's Carol.
- 20:24Speaker 2: And we're right, If we're right and it's Carol, then yes.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah I think so.
- 20:29Speaker 2: I think so too. I think.
- 20:32Speaker 3: I think, you know, like one of the things I
- 20:34Speaker 3: liked about his package was he was kind of vulnerable,
- 20:36Speaker 3: you know, he was like, Yeah, I miss the companionship
- 20:39Speaker 3: and I miss having someone with me all the time,
- 20:41Speaker 3: and I like being in a relationship, and it was like,
- 20:44Speaker 3: you know, I think he was really obviously none of
- 20:46Speaker 3: us know the circumstances around his divorce, but it sounds like,
- 20:49Speaker 3: you know, he genuinely didn't want a divorce, and so yeah,
- 20:53Speaker 3: five years out of it, he's he's really genuinely interested
- 20:56Speaker 3: in finding a relationship.
- 20:57Speaker 2: And you never, as you and I can both attest,
- 21:00Speaker 2: you never know.
- 21:00Speaker 3: How real this whole circumstance is or situation is until
- 21:03Speaker 3: you're in it, right, it's all it's all like you're
- 21:07Speaker 3: taking it from watching a couple of shows or whatever, and.
- 21:09Speaker 2: You're in it. And I saw Mel.
- 21:11Speaker 3: I felt like I saw Mel struggling with this when
- 21:13Speaker 3: when he had to send some women home at the
- 21:15Speaker 3: end of the first role ceremony and he was.
- 21:17Speaker 2: Genuinely feeling bad.
- 21:19Speaker 3: And I remember, for myself that was the hardest and
- 21:22Speaker 3: you told me it would be, and you were right.
- 21:23Speaker 3: It was the hardest part about being the Bachelor was
- 21:25Speaker 3: breaking up with people who haven't done anything wrong, Yeah,
- 21:29Speaker 3: you know, and you're sending them home and you're like,
- 21:31Speaker 3: you don't want to hurt anyone's feelings and you don't
- 21:34Speaker 3: want them to think they're less than by any means,
- 21:36Speaker 3: because they're not and it's just maybe I got more
- 21:38Speaker 3: time with that person or maybe whatever.
- 21:40Speaker 2: You know, and it's hard.
- 21:42Speaker 3: It's a really hard thing to do if you if
- 21:43Speaker 3: you're an empathetic person.
- 21:45Speaker 1: You know. So totally yes, okay, so entrances, I think
- 21:50Speaker 1: when we're getting ready for the limits, I love that
- 21:53Speaker 1: Jesse pointed out his shoes, Like, what's with the shoes?
- 21:58Speaker 1: Mel so funny. I think they're just orthopedic, you know, shoes,
- 22:04Speaker 1: not anything fancy. He just was saying, you know, I
- 22:07Speaker 1: have bad feet, and I think in the montage before
- 22:09Speaker 1: he was talking about you know, how is Peter bad
- 22:11Speaker 1: and his back is bad and you know all the
- 22:13Speaker 1: things that happened when you get older. Yea to most people.
- 22:18Speaker 1: So I thought that was really funny that I called
- 22:20Speaker 1: him up for his shoes, and more props to him
- 22:23Speaker 1: for wearing the comfy shoes instead of the ones that
- 22:26Speaker 1: are uncomfortable.
- 22:27Speaker 2: Somebody gave him good advice. I'm not sure who was.
- 22:30Speaker 1: Totally, you're going to be there very long, so.
- 22:32Speaker 2: Is going to be barking buddy? Yeah, they're gonna be okay.
- 22:34Speaker 1: So who did who did you like? Which entrance was
- 22:40Speaker 1: your favorite besides the motorcycle.
- 22:42Speaker 3: We already said, Cheryl, Yeah, I loved Carol's entrance that
- 22:45Speaker 3: you know, she's her yes nephew is as a ballplayer.
- 22:48Speaker 3: She throws them the ball and says, you know, hey,
- 22:51Speaker 3: you know, hey catch or whatever, and then she's got
- 22:55Speaker 3: the jack.
- 22:55Speaker 1: I love that she's walking away. She didn't say anything,
- 22:58Speaker 1: and then she's walking away and he says something and
- 23:01Speaker 1: she's like, you know, oh yeah, I love that love.
- 23:04Speaker 2: I love Sdy Freeman. She's like, I need to Yeah.
- 23:06Speaker 3: That was kind of a cool connection and I and
- 23:08Speaker 3: I actually really liked it too that she didn't she
- 23:11Speaker 3: didn't throw it out there right away, and you know,
- 23:13Speaker 3: it was cute with the baseball begged the question of course,
- 23:16Speaker 3: you know, uh yeah, Terry with the puppet. That was
- 23:20Speaker 3: one that I would have coached her against that myself,
- 23:23Speaker 3: you know.
- 23:24Speaker 1: Yeah, same same.
- 23:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:25Speaker 1: I wasn't. I wasn't. That wasn't one of my favorites.
- 23:29Speaker 1: But that's okay. I mean it's all good, everyone to
- 23:32Speaker 1: each their own. I actually kind of like the ones
- 23:35Speaker 1: that there's really they're just like introducing themselves. But one
- 23:41Speaker 1: one of the ones that was my favorite based on
- 23:44Speaker 1: that is Cindy. I love that she was like, you know,
- 23:47Speaker 1: Cindy like Cinderella and I'm looking for my prince Charming
- 23:50Speaker 1: and what else did she oh talk to me before midnight?
- 23:53Speaker 1: I was like, that's all really cute. I love that
- 23:57Speaker 1: she used that, But it wasn't like in your face,
- 24:00Speaker 1: and it wasn't you know, giving him a kiss and
- 24:03Speaker 1: making him feel awkward in the first moment. But it
- 24:06Speaker 1: was cute and he remembered her.
- 24:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:09Speaker 3: You know, it's so funny because these entrances didn't start
- 24:11Speaker 3: until long after our seasons.
- 24:13Speaker 2: But I remember thinking at the time.
- 24:15Speaker 3: Like I think I've even told you this before, Like
- 24:18Speaker 3: we were all like, hell, why is Ruscott a Tiffany's box?
- 24:21Speaker 2: Why didn't we do that?
- 24:22Speaker 3: You know, your entrances for the Bachelorette, And I remember
- 24:26Speaker 3: just introducing myself and saying hi and letting you know
- 24:28Speaker 3: I was so excited to meet you or whatever. And
- 24:30Speaker 3: but but it's kind of funny, like I remember, we
- 24:32Speaker 3: didn't have any of these like staged entrances when I
- 24:35Speaker 3: was the bachelor either, and I'm so thankful that we
- 24:38Speaker 3: didn't because I would not have been the right audience
- 24:41Speaker 3: for these things.
- 24:42Speaker 2: Even though I love laughing, and I loved it. I
- 24:44Speaker 2: would have been like, what is going on right now?
- 24:46Speaker 3: You know, like the bomb like peg the bomb lady
- 24:49Speaker 3: in the In the first of all, it was hilarious
- 24:50Speaker 3: that the bomb didn't go off, but the fact that
- 24:53Speaker 3: she's stuck with.
- 24:53Speaker 2: The bit and the producers come out and do it
- 24:55Speaker 2: again and it's like.
- 24:56Speaker 1: Yeah, She's like no, no, no, we're doing this again.
- 24:58Speaker 1: We're doing this again until it goes off. So cute. Actually,
- 25:02Speaker 1: she is one that I feel like, after watching the episode,
- 25:06Speaker 1: I kind of wish I had had in my at
- 25:10Speaker 1: least top four.
- 25:11Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I think, yeah, yeah, it could be one that.
- 25:14Speaker 1: I think she's going to go to. Yeah, And I
- 25:18Speaker 1: love that she's a firefighter. I love that she's a
- 25:21Speaker 1: firefighter and that she was part of a bomb squad
- 25:25Speaker 1: like that is that's a huge flex.
- 25:28Speaker 2: Do you know?
- 25:29Speaker 3: I had a firefighter on my season. Her name was
- 25:31Speaker 3: Shay I still remember to this day. Beautiful, absolutely beautiful firefighter.
- 25:37Speaker 3: And I never got to talk to her the whole night. Never,
- 25:42Speaker 3: And so yeah, and I felt like if I kept her,
- 25:45Speaker 3: I would be judged for it because I didn't know,
- 25:48Speaker 3: I didn't know what they were going to keep in
- 25:49Speaker 3: what they were going to keep out. But she was
- 25:51Speaker 3: so captivating. But I was like, no, I never got
- 25:54Speaker 3: to talk to her. I'm not going to keep her,
- 25:56Speaker 3: you know. For whatever reason, the producers didn't have me
- 25:58Speaker 3: talk to her. I don't know why, you know, And
- 26:00Speaker 3: so I went with only people I talked to and
- 26:01Speaker 3: had a connection with. But I remember her, and I
- 26:03Speaker 3: remember thinking like that was so interesting, Like I would
- 26:05Speaker 3: have loved to talk to her and got to know her,
- 26:07Speaker 3: but I just never had a chance, you know.
- 26:09Speaker 1: Yeah, No, I love that background. I love that she
- 26:13Speaker 1: she is super active. I wish I would have picked
- 26:16Speaker 1: her for that reason. You know. It seems like she's
- 26:20Speaker 1: up for an adventure, so that's great. Oh my gosh,
- 26:32Speaker 1: that was so cute when they played limbo.
- 26:35Speaker 2: Yeah, that was really cute. You know.
- 26:37Speaker 3: I gotta say one more about the entrances before we
- 26:39Speaker 3: get past them. One person that I thought was going
- 26:42Speaker 3: to go very far, and then I realized I didn't
- 26:44Speaker 3: pick them, but upon seeing them was Lisa.
- 26:48Speaker 2: Lisa who was from Ohio and she.
- 26:53Speaker 1: Had a floral dress on.
- 26:55Speaker 3: Yes, she was like so cute and she came in
- 26:57Speaker 3: She's like, oh my god, all these beautiful women and
- 26:59Speaker 3: you're soulccomplished it.
- 27:00Speaker 2: I work at a park and it.
- 27:02Speaker 3: Was like, I was like, oh my god, this woman
- 27:04Speaker 3: is going to go so far. And I didn't pick her? Yeah,
- 27:08Speaker 3: and I really Then I watched back one of the
- 27:10Speaker 3: previous that they played yesterday, and she's like gorgeous in
- 27:13Speaker 3: this green dress, and I'm like, how did I not
- 27:14Speaker 3: pick her?
- 27:15Speaker 1: Like she'll be on a Bachelor in Paradise or whatever
- 27:18Speaker 1: they do if they bring them on. I think she's
- 27:20Speaker 1: adorable and I love her like quirkiness that she was
- 27:23Speaker 1: kind of like she's kind of like Lisa Kudrou and friends,
- 27:27Speaker 1: like you know, like I don't know at least that's
- 27:30Speaker 1: how she came across to me, but I think she
- 27:33Speaker 1: was really endearing.
- 27:34Speaker 2: I did too.
- 27:35Speaker 3: I thought she was adorable and I when I when,
- 27:38Speaker 3: you know, not to spoil anything, but yeah, I was shocked.
- 27:40Speaker 2: Let's just say that, so.
- 27:41Speaker 1: We are spoiling everything. I am like, no, we are,
- 27:45Speaker 1: this is the whole purpose where we cap okay so
- 27:50Speaker 1: or Jerry and mel. I really loved the fact that
- 27:53Speaker 1: she shared that that note with him took from her
- 27:57Speaker 1: daughter and then and then moving on to the next episode,
- 28:01Speaker 1: and we'll obviously fast forward a little bit. But Cindy
- 28:05Speaker 1: when he shared the video with her of her daughter
- 28:09Speaker 1: getting hired by Diana Ross and crazy, Oh that was
- 28:12Speaker 1: so sweet. I love those personal moments like that. Those
- 28:17Speaker 1: are really important, I feel like in the process, especially
- 28:20Speaker 1: in those moments.
- 28:21Speaker 3: I mean, you know, with Mel's history, right, growing up
- 28:23Speaker 3: in the in Detroit, which, by the way, finally another
- 28:26Speaker 3: Detroit Bachelor.
- 28:27Speaker 2: It's taken a week.
- 28:29Speaker 3: But growing up in the city Detroit and living across
- 28:32Speaker 3: the alleyway from Diana Ross, I mean, how crazy is that?
- 28:35Speaker 1: Crazy? Yeah, and the connection and you know, I'm all
- 28:38Speaker 1: about signs. Like when Ryan and I went to Lakita
- 28:41Speaker 1: and we saw three different weddings, I was like, Okay,
- 28:45Speaker 1: there's something to this. I think there might be something
- 28:48Speaker 1: to that too. So when I saw that, I'm like, yeah, Sidney.
- 28:50Speaker 2: Go Cidy. I can't believe I didn't keep Cindy longer.
- 28:54Speaker 2: And now I'm so upset with my bracket.
- 28:56Speaker 1: Oh no, I mean, who knows what's going to happen.
- 28:59Speaker 1: But okay, so Jerry gets the first impression Rose. But
- 29:02Speaker 1: as I said, when you picked Jerry to be in
- 29:05Speaker 1: final four Fantasy Suits or wherever you how long.
- 29:08Speaker 2: However, I have her in hometowns.
- 29:09Speaker 1: I think, yeah, I think if we look at statistics
- 29:14Speaker 1: that the person who gets the first impression Rows usually
- 29:17Speaker 1: is not the one that they pick at the end.
- 29:19Speaker 1: I don't know why that is.
- 29:21Speaker 3: Yes, you're right, And it's funny because the second she
- 29:24Speaker 3: got the first impression Rows, I was like.
- 29:27Speaker 2: I might have just screwed my home. Oh really, It's
- 29:30Speaker 2: like it's like when Duke.
- 29:32Speaker 3: It's like when Duke upset Michigan State in the first round,
- 29:34Speaker 3: and I had Michigan State going all the way, I'm like, oh,
- 29:35Speaker 3: a bracketbuster right there. I don't know, but it sure
- 29:39Speaker 3: felt that way. In that moment, I was like, they
- 29:42Speaker 3: never go the.
- 29:42Speaker 1: Distance, you know, totally okay. So the people who got
- 29:46Speaker 1: eliminated there were six ladies, Maya, who shockingly is the youngest.
- 29:53Speaker 1: She was I think, what was she fifty eight? How
- 29:57Speaker 1: old was she? She's fifty eight, so she was the
- 30:02Speaker 1: youngest at fifty eight, and I mean dropped at gorgeous
- 30:07Speaker 1: and lives in Malibu. So that was a little shocking.
- 30:11Speaker 1: But who you never know what happens, and if there's no.
- 30:15Speaker 2: Like no connection made.
- 30:17Speaker 1: Chemistry, connection whatever. Andra who went home? Who is Sandra's
- 30:24Speaker 1: twin sister. I love Sandra. She has the best sense
- 30:28Speaker 1: of humor. And I thought for sure that the producers
- 30:32Speaker 1: would at least if he didn't want to keep her,
- 30:34Speaker 1: that they would say, we're going to keep her at
- 30:36Speaker 1: least just one week, one more week so she gets
- 30:38Speaker 1: more airtime or whatever.
- 30:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:41Speaker 1: So I was shocked about Andra.
- 30:43Speaker 2: I was too.
- 30:44Speaker 1: And then we've got Lily, Lisa, Tracy, and Susie.
- 30:49Speaker 2: Okay. I thought Lily, Lily and Lisa I thought would
- 30:53Speaker 2: go longer for sure. I was surprised.
- 30:56Speaker 1: Oh, Lisa was the cutie pie, like Lisa kudrou Oh, yeah,
- 31:00Speaker 1: that's funny. Her name is Lisa.
- 31:01Speaker 2: See there.
- 31:02Speaker 1: Oh I had her at Rose Ceremony three, not leaving
- 31:05Speaker 1: the first night.
- 31:07Speaker 3: Ye, yes, yeah, I would have. I'm shocked I didn't
- 31:12Speaker 3: have Lisa. I didn't have Lisa making it. And I'm
- 31:15Speaker 3: really shocked I didn't because when I when she came
- 31:19Speaker 3: out of the screen, I'm like, oh my god, she's
- 31:21Speaker 3: gonna be she's gonna be tough to be.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Yeah, she's cute. Okay, So the ladies come in the
- 31:27Speaker 1: next day into the mansion and they're so excited, and
- 31:31Speaker 1: I love how excited they are. It took me back
- 31:34Speaker 1: to when I went to like surprise the ladies on
- 31:39Speaker 1: first season of Golden and they were just so cute
- 31:42Speaker 1: and excited. I was like, this is I love this energy.
- 31:45Speaker 1: They just love being here.
- 31:46Speaker 3: I'll guarantee they have you back this season. They're going
- 31:49Speaker 3: to have to if they haven't.
- 31:50Speaker 1: No, they're not. I think they're already done.
- 31:52Speaker 2: Oh you're kidding.
- 31:53Speaker 1: I don't. I mean, I don't know, but they're not
- 31:55Speaker 1: having me back. I don't think. So I would love to,
- 31:58Speaker 1: I mean I would that please.
- 32:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:02Speaker 1: Okay, So the ladies enter the mansion very excited, and
- 32:05Speaker 1: he says, Jesse comes in. There's two dates, one one
- 32:08Speaker 1: on one and one huge group date. Obviously the one
- 32:12Speaker 1: on one is very coveted, and it turns out to
- 32:16Speaker 1: be the princess date right out the gate, which I
- 32:19Speaker 1: was like, they've never done that before. I don't think
- 32:23Speaker 1: rolls Royce jewelry, a gorgeous gown. I did. I thought
- 32:27Speaker 1: it was really really cute that as Cheryl's getting dressed,
- 32:31Speaker 1: she had a few women there like kind of like
- 32:33Speaker 1: cheering her on and saying, oh, that's the one I
- 32:37Speaker 1: wondered how they picked those girls, like are those girls
- 32:40Speaker 1: that she's hanging out with, or are those girls that
- 32:42Speaker 1: they're like, you know, you three come with us or whatever?
- 32:45Speaker 1: You know what I mean.
- 32:46Speaker 3: I always i'd be interested to know that too, because
- 32:49Speaker 3: first of all, they seemed, you know, and this is
- 32:52Speaker 3: what I love about the Golden Franchise. They seemed genuinely
- 32:56Speaker 3: excited for her, like there was right, no, there was
- 32:59Speaker 3: no you know, acrimonious type of you know, it was like.
- 33:03Speaker 2: You look at me.
- 33:04Speaker 3: And I loved her reaction to the whole thing. And
- 33:06Speaker 3: this is before we did we know her story yet
- 33:09Speaker 3: I think we must have hit this.
- 33:10Speaker 1: We did it on that on the one on one
- 33:13Speaker 1: when they were yeah, and.
- 33:13Speaker 3: It was just like, oh my god, she's And I
- 33:16Speaker 3: even thought to myself, I'm like, you never put on
- 33:18Speaker 3: a couple dresses like what you know what and the
- 33:20Speaker 3: in her story then when you oh my god, then
- 33:23Speaker 3: when you hear her story, it's like.
- 33:26Speaker 2: I know, I just my heart, I mean, I just yeah.
- 33:29Speaker 3: It made me really really love her and feel like, man,
- 33:34Speaker 3: they they really they really knocked it out of the
- 33:36Speaker 3: park with giving her the Princess date, because I think
- 33:38Speaker 3: that she had never had that experience and now she
- 33:41Speaker 3: was having it.
- 33:42Speaker 2: And you know, even if she.
- 33:44Speaker 3: Goes home at some point sooner than she wants to,
- 33:47Speaker 3: if our brackets are wrong, which they might, they might be,
- 33:50Speaker 3: because she could be.
- 33:51Speaker 2: Someone pretty special for this whole show.
- 33:53Speaker 3: But I just think I think that reaction was so
- 33:56Speaker 3: genuine and so I loved it.
- 34:00Speaker 1: I know the fact that she was crying over it.
- 34:01Speaker 1: This is just so sweet. And then we have the
- 34:04Speaker 1: cheerleading date in the Colisseum, which is really cool because
- 34:08Speaker 1: he played football there. Uh and it's so funny. I
- 34:12Speaker 1: was watching it in our kitchen on my phone as
- 34:15Speaker 1: like Ryan's doing something in the background and I was like, oh,
- 34:19Speaker 1: I totally know who this is gonna be, and I'm
- 34:22Speaker 1: like shooting it out. He's like, what is going on
- 34:23Speaker 1: with you? I know I wasn't, but I don't think
- 34:30Speaker 1: he was paying attention to me. So I love that
- 34:33Speaker 1: Paul Abdul he came on for the cheerleading date. That is,
- 34:36Speaker 1: she's so iconic in that space, so perfect, and I
- 34:41Speaker 1: do oh, I do have to say there is one
- 34:44Speaker 1: lady who, especially on this date, I loved her amy,
- 34:50Speaker 1: her energy, She's the one with the two twin girls.
- 34:54Speaker 2: Oh yeah, who held up.
- 34:56Speaker 1: The like sign? Always my she's always like she just
- 35:02Speaker 1: seems like she's so bubbling and wants to have fun,
- 35:04Speaker 1: Like I just want to be friends with her. She
- 35:05Speaker 1: seems like such a positive energy. She's so cute.
- 35:10Speaker 2: Yeah she's real cute.
- 35:11Speaker 1: Yeah, so cute. So I loved her energy on that date.
- 35:15Speaker 1: Let's see who else stood out at that date.
- 35:17Speaker 3: Well, you're girl, Cindy. That's when we find out las
- 35:21Speaker 3: Mavericks cheerleader. I don't even think that had come up previously,
- 35:24Speaker 3: had it Like, I don't think it was in her
- 35:26Speaker 3: her original tagline or anything.
- 35:27Speaker 1: It wasn't nope, nope, it all of.
- 35:29Speaker 3: A sudden it comes up. I also thought, yeah, peg
- 35:33Speaker 3: was a great standout to you. I thought, what's kind
- 35:36Speaker 3: of like the Jersey chick is like, I know, I
- 35:38Speaker 3: ain't know, cheerleader, I'm gonna get out there and have
- 35:40Speaker 3: a dance or whatever?
- 35:41Speaker 2: Did she gets out? That's Amy?
- 35:44Speaker 1: I love her. I wanted to have fun. She's like,
- 35:49Speaker 1: I don't care it is going to do.
- 35:50Speaker 2: Like, who the hell is Amy?
- 35:53Speaker 1: And then Diane who's the Alaskan with the really short
- 35:58Speaker 1: gray hairs. I love her.
- 36:02Speaker 2: I love her any Her.
- 36:04Speaker 1: Sense of humor is like, she was good with the
- 36:07Speaker 1: one liners. I think she would have been great to have,
- 36:10Speaker 1: you know, longer in the show. But yeah, I loved her.
- 36:13Speaker 2: Too, you know.
- 36:15Speaker 3: So she her hair cut and this is please for
- 36:18Speaker 3: anyone listening, understand I'm going to say. I say this
- 36:20Speaker 3: in the most flattering of ways. Okay, she reminds me
- 36:24Speaker 3: so much of my grandma that passed away, you know,
- 36:28Speaker 3: many several years ago. But my grandma was gonna be
- 36:30Speaker 3: with me on my hometown dates on The Bachelor when
- 36:33Speaker 3: we came home, and I was so excited and my
- 36:35Speaker 3: grandma was so excited to be on television. And she
- 36:38Speaker 3: fell down and got a huge cut on her face
- 36:43Speaker 3: the week of filming and yeah, like it literally like
- 36:47Speaker 3: slipped and fell. I don't know if she tripped over
- 36:49Speaker 3: her dog or something, and so she wasn't she was there,
- 36:52Speaker 3: but she wasn't on camera at all because she was
- 36:53Speaker 3: too embarrassed.
- 36:54Speaker 2: And I'm like, Grandma, you still look beautiful, you know.
- 36:56Speaker 3: But she had that kind of a fun, you know,
- 36:59Speaker 3: personality where she just say she was from Pennsylvania. And
- 37:01Speaker 3: I don't know why, but whenever I meet people from Alaska.
- 37:03Speaker 3: It makes me think of Pennsylvania.
- 37:04Speaker 2: I get it.
- 37:05Speaker 3: I know geographically they're not even really close to one another,
- 37:07Speaker 3: but for some reason it does.
- 37:09Speaker 2: And I was I just like, because it's just like.
- 37:11Speaker 3: An outdoor like people who grew up in those areas
- 37:13Speaker 3: are like outdoorsy people, you know.
- 37:15Speaker 1: And whatever, keep going.
- 37:17Speaker 2: She's got her Alaskan thing going on. She said, what
- 37:18Speaker 2: the fuck is wrong with you?
- 37:19Speaker 3: You know, I'm like, what, Yes, I just thought it
- 37:21Speaker 3: was funny and she reminded me of my grandma, and
- 37:24Speaker 3: so I wanted her to go farther.
- 37:26Speaker 2: But I mean there, You're right.
- 37:28Speaker 3: She was so quirky and funny and just doing silly
- 37:30Speaker 3: stuff and making everybody laugh.
- 37:32Speaker 2: And you know, it was she is. She's adorable.
- 37:35Speaker 1: She is adorable. And then we have the rose at
- 37:41Speaker 1: that after party date because I think it was Mel's
- 37:45Speaker 1: GB Girls or something like that.
- 37:47Speaker 2: GB. And why did they never talk to me?
- 37:48Speaker 1: Bachelor? Oh yeah, it takes you a while. I'm very
- 37:55Speaker 1: embarrassed for you, but that's.
- 37:57Speaker 3: I asked that, do you know? I wrote that down
- 38:00Speaker 3: last night? Like what the hell is Gboway?
- 38:05Speaker 1: So like me, Bob, go get your brain checked just
- 38:08Speaker 1: like me, because oh, I'm worried about mine. Okay. So
- 38:12Speaker 1: they win the cheerleading date and they get the after party,
- 38:16Speaker 1: and then they go to the after party and they
- 38:17Speaker 1: have these great conversations. Cindy especially that's when he shared
- 38:21Speaker 1: with her his daughter's or her daughter's little video that
- 38:25Speaker 1: she's dancing for Diana Roth and uh, Cindy ends up
- 38:29Speaker 1: getting the rose from the date the date rose. So
- 38:33Speaker 1: I love that she got the date rose. I felt like,
- 38:35Speaker 1: I mean from what we see. Of course, as you
- 38:38Speaker 1: all know out there, there's so much that ends up
- 38:41Speaker 1: on the cutting room floor, so we don't we see
- 38:44Speaker 1: a fraction like he's a tiny part. But yes, there
- 38:48Speaker 1: was lots of kissing they had. I love that she
- 38:51Speaker 1: was like and we went in for a second, and
- 38:54Speaker 1: we went in for a third and we were was
- 39:00Speaker 1: really cute. Okay, so we've got Cindy gets the rose
- 39:05Speaker 1: at the after party, and then the next day they
- 39:09Speaker 1: have a pool party and geez, I mean, let's let's
- 39:14Speaker 1: say this. These women are freaking goals, like they are hot,
- 39:20Speaker 1: Like come on, yeah, it was it was true, and
- 39:23Speaker 1: I'm like, she's seventy, like what the heck?
- 39:27Speaker 3: Yeah, shock, first of all, is shocked that Mel.
- 39:31Speaker 2: Mel looks amazing.
- 39:32Speaker 1: Mel looks amazing too, Yea, that dude's been.
- 39:35Speaker 3: Working out and has it stopped. He's a he's a
- 39:37Speaker 3: brick house, as we say in the business. And uh,
- 39:40Speaker 3: and I don't know what the business is. I just
- 39:42Speaker 3: made that part.
- 39:42Speaker 1: I was just going to ask you that.
- 39:44Speaker 2: Well, I have a I have a side bizz you know,
- 39:47Speaker 2: body by Bob.
- 39:48Speaker 3: It's a you know, it's the thing where we make
- 39:50Speaker 3: sure people don't go in that direction.
- 39:52Speaker 2: Mel's not ever been a client, never would be.
- 39:55Speaker 3: No, But I'm saying like he's yoked, right, I mean
- 39:58Speaker 3: he's he's like, he's like, a how old is he?
- 40:00Speaker 2: Seventy? How old is man?
- 40:02Speaker 1: I don't know. I mean, no, hold noll is hold please?
- 40:08Speaker 3: Yeah, I guess I never even looked that up. But yeah, so,
- 40:11Speaker 3: I mean Mel is an older gentleman, a former professional athlete,
- 40:15Speaker 3: sixty six and ripped.
- 40:17Speaker 2: I mean, he looked great.
- 40:18Speaker 3: And then he and he knows he does because I
- 40:20Speaker 3: mean he was he was selling it. He's like, well,
- 40:22Speaker 3: I might already have my suit on ladies.
- 40:24Speaker 1: You know, and then and then he jumps in with
- 40:27Speaker 1: his shoes and his microphone.
- 40:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I know. Production wasn't loving that.
- 40:32Speaker 1: I was like, oh he just got it talking to
- 40:34Speaker 1: Yeah he did.
- 40:35Speaker 2: But the ladies all looked amazing, every single one.
- 40:37Speaker 1: Of them, and amazing.
- 40:39Speaker 3: What I love about this age is the confidence, you
- 40:42Speaker 3: know what I mean? So like even if they maybe
- 40:45Speaker 3: they don't look amazing, but they all do ps But
- 40:50Speaker 3: it doesn't matter.
- 40:51Speaker 2: They're there.
- 40:51Speaker 3: They're there, they know who they are. They're comfortable in
- 40:54Speaker 3: their skin. If he doesn't like it, you know, screw him,
- 40:57Speaker 3: right or whatever. Yeah, And I love that. And they
- 40:59Speaker 3: were there was a lot of girl.
- 41:01Speaker 2: Power out there, a lot of them.
- 41:03Speaker 3: They were very supportive of one another, having the time
- 41:06Speaker 3: of their lives, dancing like crazy people.
- 41:08Speaker 2: It was It was a fun episode. It was very fun.
- 41:10Speaker 1: It was really fun. The only part and we know
- 41:14Speaker 1: who are villain is gonna be this season. It was
- 41:18Speaker 1: Nicole in the pool with her hands and her lips
- 41:22Speaker 1: and everything all over him. And I think at one
- 41:25Speaker 1: point one point he actually said we should wait. So
- 41:29Speaker 1: was that in the pool? Yeah, He's like, maybe this
- 41:31Speaker 1: isn't right to do here, maybe we should ease up
- 41:34Speaker 1: a little bit.
- 41:34Speaker 3: Well, one of the ladies I loved one of the comments.
- 41:36Speaker 3: I don't even know who set up, but they go,
- 41:38Speaker 3: Nicole jumps in and she's climbing them like a tree.
- 41:40Speaker 2: I thought that was pretty that it.
- 41:41Speaker 1: Was Cindy, I think I think that was Cindy. And
- 41:44Speaker 1: then Terry, I think was the one who was commenting
- 41:47Speaker 1: on She's like, hey, look over there, look at what
- 41:51Speaker 1: he's doing. I'm not cool with that. You know, I
- 41:55Speaker 1: wouldn't be either. I didn't think it was really appropriate
- 41:58Speaker 1: it much, you know. I mean, I get it that
- 42:01Speaker 1: she's like, I got to shoot my shot, but do
- 42:03Speaker 1: you really like in that way? Like I feel like.
- 42:09Speaker 3: As a former kissing bandit on the show, Yes, I
- 42:12Speaker 3: will say this, I did not ever do that in
- 42:14Speaker 3: front of a group of ladies. Like, yes, I kissed
- 42:17Speaker 3: a lot of people, there's no question, but it was
- 42:19Speaker 3: always when we were off somewhere by ourselves or I
- 42:22Speaker 3: wasn't ever macing on somebody in front of the crew,
- 42:24Speaker 3: you know. And yeah, if you remember from your season
- 42:27Speaker 3: of The Bachelor Bachelrette and we even talked about this
- 42:28Speaker 3: when Jamie Blythe was on the show and when Ryan
- 42:30Speaker 3: and I have done the show together, I was like, guys,
- 42:33Speaker 3: think about her, like your sister, do you really want
- 42:36Speaker 3: four dudes watching you guys try to make out. No
- 42:39Speaker 3: one wants to see that, like, and I remember Jamie Blitz, like.
- 42:45Speaker 1: And by the way, you just said that you told
- 42:47Speaker 1: everyone to think I was their sister.
- 42:49Speaker 2: Oh god, you know, it does sound terrible.
- 42:57Speaker 1: Anyway anyway, So okay, so what I what I take
- 43:17Speaker 1: away from that is, you know, either and she kind
- 43:21Speaker 1: of said this, like it's time with him, so get
- 43:25Speaker 1: out of my way. I've always felt that's a little disrespectful,
- 43:30Speaker 1: like respect the rest of the people in the room,
- 43:33Speaker 1: but it's a two lane highway, so he is also
- 43:39Speaker 1: part of it. And I feel like he probably should
- 43:42Speaker 1: have like backed off a little bit earlier and said, hey,
- 43:47Speaker 1: let's maybe let's can we go talk somewhere else.
- 43:50Speaker 2: Or so let's take a walk around the corner or something.
- 43:53Speaker 1: Yes, like somethings so it's not in everyone's faces, and
- 43:57Speaker 1: not disrespect Nicole because she didn't just or that, but
- 44:00Speaker 1: at the same time, like maybe say let's let's go
- 44:05Speaker 1: somewhere where it's a little more private.
- 44:07Speaker 2: Totally agree.
- 44:08Speaker 3: Yeah, I felt like that was a bad look, you know,
- 44:12Speaker 3: And yeah, I get it. It's a it's a weird
- 44:14Speaker 3: situation to be in when totally someone just walks up
- 44:17Speaker 3: and starts making out with you, and you do want
- 44:20Speaker 3: to let them know you're interested, but at the same time,
- 44:22Speaker 3: you are in front of a bunch of other people
- 44:23Speaker 3: you need to show respect to. So it's a tough
- 44:26Speaker 3: spot to be in for sure. But you know, he
- 44:28Speaker 3: got it eventually, he got he got the memo.
- 44:31Speaker 2: Eventually, it just took him at Okay.
- 44:34Speaker 1: So we get to the Rose ceremony and the people
- 44:38Speaker 1: that went home are my leans. She was the Vegas
- 44:43Speaker 1: Model service I think, yeah, VIP host and then which
- 44:48Speaker 1: I thought is amazing. At her age, she's still partying
- 44:51Speaker 1: at the Vegas like in the Vegas scene.
- 44:54Speaker 2: I was like, Wow, that's crazy. It amazing crazy.
- 44:58Speaker 1: Ashley and Ben will be sad about my They had
- 45:01Speaker 1: her going far oh you know what I actually did
- 45:04Speaker 1: in the beginning, like right away, and then I was like,
- 45:09Speaker 1: I don't know if Vegas is like his scene, I don't,
- 45:13Speaker 1: you know, like more like the location. I kind of
- 45:19Speaker 1: honed in on that, and then yeah, I thought I
- 45:25Speaker 1: would have her going a little bit farther, but I didn't. Anyway,
- 45:29Speaker 1: she went home, unfortunately, and then Diane, who I was
- 45:32Speaker 1: so sad, but she was See. This is why I
- 45:35Speaker 1: love her too, is that she was leaving and like
- 45:38Speaker 1: one of them, Carla, who gosh, she's gorgeous too. Carlo
- 45:42Speaker 1: walked up and she like didn't even give him a hug,
- 45:46Speaker 1: and I'm like, you know, it's all good, don't give
- 45:48Speaker 1: him a hug. But I loved that. Diane was like
- 45:50Speaker 1: sweet about it. She was like, oh, thank you so much,
- 45:53Speaker 1: mel you know.
- 45:54Speaker 3: What I mean, Like, you know what I feel like,
- 45:57Speaker 3: it says so much more about that person in the moment.
- 46:01Speaker 3: Like I say this to my kids all the time
- 46:02Speaker 3: when they're disappointed in something and I'm like, hey, it's
- 46:05Speaker 3: not that person's fault, right, It's like, yeah, it doesn't,
- 46:09Speaker 3: you know. I mean I'm talking about everything from you know,
- 46:11Speaker 3: your your buddy's scoring a goal on you in soccer
- 46:13Speaker 3: to whatever.
- 46:14Speaker 2: Right, But it's always like, you know, be gracious.
- 46:17Speaker 3: Because you never know, you never know what's going to happen,
- 46:20Speaker 3: and you never know what that person's going through, and
- 46:22Speaker 3: you know, God forbid, you might have reminded him of
- 46:24Speaker 3: his ex wife and we don't know what she likes.
- 46:25Speaker 2: I mean, you never know.
- 46:26Speaker 3: You know, there's a bunch of things out there and
- 46:28Speaker 3: I mean, but yeah, kind of interesting that that that
- 46:31Speaker 3: kind of unfolded the way it did. I was shocked
- 46:33Speaker 3: at a couple of those as well. I did think
- 46:36Speaker 3: at that point that that she'd be going home, Diane
- 46:41Speaker 3: would be on home, because I felt like that that
- 46:45Speaker 3: whole thing with Nicole for whatever reason, and maybe it's
- 46:47Speaker 3: because I do feel like Diane looks like my grandma.
- 46:49Speaker 2: And I don't know why I'm thinking this way.
- 46:51Speaker 3: I felt like she was probably like disappointed in Mel
- 46:54Speaker 3: for the pool makeout sash, you know, and so she
- 46:56Speaker 3: was probably like, I'm good to go home. You know,
- 46:59Speaker 3: this is you know, but I but again, I think
- 47:02Speaker 3: it's prejudice in my mind, you know.
- 47:04Speaker 1: Yeah, So we get at the end, after the rose ceremony,
- 47:09Speaker 1: of course, we get previous They are my favorite thing.
- 47:11Speaker 1: Like when I go to a movie, I love the
- 47:13Speaker 1: previews me too, even though they go on forever these days,
- 47:17Speaker 1: I'm like, I do love a good previews. So I
- 47:21Speaker 1: love the previews. And there are a lot of times,
- 47:23Speaker 1: not even just for this, that I'm pausing.
- 47:25Speaker 3: It in like, yeah, are they making out wearing the
- 47:30Speaker 3: same shirt?
- 47:31Speaker 1: Yeah, So it seems like Nicole maybe causing a little
- 47:37Speaker 1: bit more attension with being physical with him. There is
- 47:41Speaker 1: lots there is lots of crying. There are lots of
- 47:44Speaker 1: There is lots of crying.
- 47:46Speaker 2: Yeah, there is lots of crying. There's a lot of.
- 47:50Speaker 1: And then I am so sad, so case in point
- 47:53Speaker 1: that I'm not going to be asked to be on
- 47:55Speaker 1: the season. I know in Debbie's footage where she was
- 48:00Speaker 1: kissing him that they're at Red Rocks, which is like
- 48:03Speaker 1: a like a very famous, yes, a very famous location
- 48:08Speaker 1: for concerts, and I did not get asked. So case
- 48:12Speaker 1: in point, I will not be asked to be on
- 48:13Speaker 1: the season, sadly, but I love that Susan and Kathy
- 48:18Speaker 1: are there for a pillow you too. Susan and Kathy
- 48:21Speaker 1: make the world better, they do. What else happened? Oh yes,
- 48:28Speaker 1: he did have a ring at the end. That doesn't
- 48:32Speaker 1: always mean that there's an engagement, But he.
- 48:34Speaker 3: Also says I think I think something to the effect
- 48:37Speaker 3: of I'm ready.
- 48:39Speaker 2: I just hope she is or something.
- 48:41Speaker 3: So I'm interested about that, you know, because this could be,
- 48:47Speaker 3: this could be your Debbie thing, this could be you know,
- 48:49Speaker 3: because she's never been married. But yeah, and then there's
- 48:54Speaker 3: another scene where he's talking to where he's talking to
- 48:56Speaker 3: Jesse bless you.
- 48:58Speaker 2: Where's another scene where.
- 48:59Speaker 3: He's talking to Jessie and he says she left, She's gone,
- 49:04Speaker 3: and Jesse goes, but I know she's still on the property, right,
- 49:07Speaker 3: so interested to find out what that's all about.
- 49:09Speaker 1: That's gonna be too because you know, that's what happened
- 49:13Speaker 1: with Joan during Gary season where she had to go
- 49:17Speaker 1: home because her daughter had just had a baby and
- 49:20Speaker 1: she needed her. I wonder if it's something like that,
- 49:23Speaker 1: like a family emergency or Colton season.
- 49:28Speaker 2: What happened during Colton season is when the girl he
- 49:31Speaker 2: ended up.
- 49:32Speaker 1: With, Grassi decided Gassie decided to leave. Yes, you're right.
- 49:36Speaker 3: To this day, she is one of my big crushes
- 49:39Speaker 3: of the whole franchise. Like I've always said that, like
- 49:41Speaker 3: I've always been.
- 49:42Speaker 2: Like she was so cute and seemed she.
- 49:44Speaker 3: Didn't need it.
- 49:45Speaker 1: Obviously watch Yellowstone, Oh yeah.
- 49:47Speaker 2: Her sister is my favorite part of that. And I
- 49:51Speaker 2: love The oil Man. She's now on The oil Man
- 49:53Speaker 2: with Billy Bob Dorton.
- 49:56Speaker 3: Yeah man, sorry, The oil Manchow.
- 50:03Speaker 1: Yeah with Billy Bob. He's amazing. I love that show.
- 50:06Speaker 1: And I met her in Veil randomly, and I was
- 50:11Speaker 1: I had to go up and say hi, because I you.
- 50:14Speaker 2: Know, well the connections there too.
- 50:16Speaker 1: Well you're there and I'm a huge fan.
- 50:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 50:18Speaker 1: So yes, the fence. I remember the fence. I will say.
- 50:24Speaker 1: I've said it before. Ryan was the one to jump
- 50:27Speaker 1: the fence first. He wasn't the one to actually jump
- 50:31Speaker 1: the fence on camera, but he left on the final
- 50:36Speaker 1: Rose ceremony day and they couldn't find him, so he escaped. Yes,
- 50:44Speaker 1: And I'm like everyone's getting all like up in arms
- 50:47Speaker 1: about Colton jumping the fence and like Ryan did that
- 50:50Speaker 1: a long time ago.
- 50:51Speaker 2: And he probably did it with all due respect.
- 50:53Speaker 3: He probably did it without even touching a single spoke
- 50:56Speaker 3: on that fence.
- 50:56Speaker 1: No, No, Colton is an athlete too, but yeah, Ryan's
- 51:00Speaker 1: any level. Okay, So do you think that he'll get engaged.
- 51:04Speaker 2: I think he will propose.
- 51:06Speaker 3: The way the show went last night had me kind
- 51:09Speaker 3: of wondering, you know how this ends.
- 51:10Speaker 2: Like, I think he will propose. I truly do, And
- 51:14Speaker 2: I think.
- 51:15Speaker 3: I hope that whoever he proposes to says yes, because
- 51:19Speaker 3: I feel like Mel's different than Gary, and I don't
- 51:22Speaker 3: mean that in a negative way towards that guy. I
- 51:24Speaker 3: just feel like, you know, you you kind of see
- 51:27Speaker 3: the carnage from a season that that doesn't work out right,
- 51:32Speaker 3: and so you realize, Okay, I'm not doing anything if
- 51:36Speaker 3: I don't really feel it right, because clearly they went
- 51:39Speaker 3: through some stuff and it was public and wow, it's ugly, right,
- 51:42Speaker 3: And it is ugly. I mean, it's terrible when anyone
- 51:44Speaker 3: gets divorced, but especially when it's televised and you know
- 51:47Speaker 3: it happens in a month. It's like, what the hell
- 51:49Speaker 3: you guys didn't know that leading into it. But I
- 51:51Speaker 3: feel like that the fact that he's younger, you know,
- 51:54Speaker 3: he's only sixty six, which I think is I mean,
- 51:57Speaker 3: that's only twelve years older than me. So I don't
- 51:59Speaker 3: feel like that's that isn't that crazy? I don't feel
- 52:02Speaker 3: like that it's crazy. So and I feel like a
- 52:05Speaker 3: lot of these women have genuinely surprised him and and
- 52:09Speaker 3: frankly surprised me. I mean watching the show, like the
- 52:11Speaker 3: one thing I have said to you about this before,
- 52:13Speaker 3: and I love this. No stunt casting they have, they
- 52:16Speaker 3: are age appropriate cast, and it's so it really is
- 52:19Speaker 3: genuinely people who get each other and they're not just
- 52:21Speaker 3: going for the hot young thing, right, and I think
- 52:24Speaker 3: that that's going to be something that will be very interesting.
- 52:29Speaker 3: Geographic location plays a big part of this, which we
- 52:31Speaker 3: have learned from watching as people are older and along
- 52:33Speaker 3: in the in their in their lives, so that I
- 52:36Speaker 3: think will factor into it. But I think also probably
- 52:39Speaker 3: the realization that hey, we don't have to get married.
- 52:42Speaker 2: It's not like, so, why don't.
- 52:44Speaker 3: We just engaged be engaged for the rest of our
- 52:46Speaker 3: lives and that's all we need to do.
- 52:48Speaker 2: You know?
- 52:48Speaker 1: And I think so too. I think there will be
- 52:50Speaker 1: an engagement. And you made me think of something you said,
- 52:54Speaker 1: you know what happened after Gary season. That's assuming that
- 52:59Speaker 1: he watched the show and he knows what happened during Gears.
- 53:02Speaker 1: I don't know if you watch the show. I haven't heard,
- 53:05Speaker 1: Like I know, he's done some press leading up that's
- 53:08Speaker 1: kind of what got him in trouble. But yeah, I
- 53:11Speaker 1: would love to know if he watched the first Golden
- 53:15Speaker 1: Bachelor and what he thought and if he learned anything
- 53:18Speaker 1: from it going into his filming. Oh, yes, that's true.
- 53:21Speaker 1: Joan and Chalk they are living separately, but they but
- 53:25Speaker 1: they do. They do have an agreement. I think of
- 53:29Speaker 1: sorts where they spend a lot of time at each
- 53:32Speaker 1: other's houses. So it's not like way to go. They
- 53:34Speaker 1: were made to move, you know, like it's the way
- 53:37Speaker 1: to go.
- 53:38Speaker 2: I think at that stage in the game, why would
- 53:41Speaker 2: you do anything else? Like, you know, Joan and I even.
- 53:43Speaker 3: Talked about it when we were together at an event
- 53:45Speaker 3: one time, and I had said, and and Chalk and
- 53:48Speaker 3: I have talked about it too.
- 53:49Speaker 2: Afterwards. I was like, is there any rush?
- 53:52Speaker 3: He's like, what's the rush? We're having a great time.
- 53:54Speaker 3: We love each other's company, we love each other's family.
- 53:57Speaker 3: I love visiting her, she loves visiting me.
- 53:58Speaker 2: It's great.
- 53:59Speaker 3: And it's like, at that age, why would you push
- 54:01Speaker 3: the envelope? Like you got this perfect thing going. Neither
- 54:04Speaker 3: one of you want to be away from your kids
- 54:06Speaker 3: or your grandkids. Yeah, why make one person suffer? It
- 54:10Speaker 3: just doesn't make sense, you know, totally.
- 54:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 54:13Speaker 3: I hope they go to Jon and Chalk route. And
- 54:14Speaker 3: I hope that because I feel like Joan Chok should
- 54:17Speaker 3: be considered a major success from the franchise because they
- 54:21Speaker 3: are very in love. Like when you're with them, it's
- 54:23Speaker 3: it's the real deal. That's that's like being with you
- 54:25Speaker 3: and Ryan. It's the same thing. It's like you see
- 54:27Speaker 3: that same type of chemistry, very similar personality makeups. By
- 54:33Speaker 3: the way, I mean, Chock's not as affable as Ryan
- 54:36Speaker 3: in my mind, because I know Ryan's so much better.
- 54:38Speaker 3: But it's like Joan's the one out there, the cute,
- 54:40Speaker 3: bubbly blonde and just talking away. And then you know
- 54:43Speaker 3: Ryan and chalk Aer in the background with Canyon, you know,
- 54:48Speaker 3: to so funny.
- 54:50Speaker 1: For everybody and everyone in this place. Okay, well this
- 54:54Speaker 1: was fun. I'm really excited. I hope you all are watching.
- 54:57Speaker 1: I know you don't have to watch because we do this.
- 54:59Speaker 1: We to be doing this recap or Ashley and Ben
- 55:02Speaker 1: will be doing the recap. But it's going to be
- 55:04Speaker 1: a great season. Yes, Wednesday Night's on ABC.
- 55:09Speaker 2: I think it's a big comeback. Don't call it a comeback.
- 55:11Speaker 2: We've been here for years, but it could be a
- 55:13Speaker 2: big comeback season.
- 55:14Speaker 1: I like literally started doing the dance.
- 55:16Speaker 2: Don't call it a comeback.
- 55:19Speaker 3: Okay, Christ always a pleasure, my friend. Thank you guys
- 55:22Speaker 3: for listening to watching us. We appreciate you all and
- 55:25Speaker 3: make sure you keep following almost famous.
- 55:27Speaker 1: Don't chuck everybody,
