- 1:42[SPEAKER_01]: That's not I just I posted one video.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_01]: Hey
- 1:45[SPEAKER_01]: and cause problems in the door for daily news for some reason.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_01]: So this has been that things boiled over things point and then we got boiled over again in Michigan right now and and what's it called Spartan Alley.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_00]: Spartan Alley the publication.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, it's come out hot.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_00]: Well, Jennifer and Hubby are going to get involved in the game.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_01]: Well, we have quotes from Brad speaking of board the over.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_03]: We are joining the line by the voice of Maryland football.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_03]: Johnny holiday, Johnny good morning.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_03]: We are curious off the bat our things boiled over it in Maryland with a 543 loss to UCLA last weekend.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_04]: is that what it was what was what a great name Johnny Holidays yes yeah you like you like that we do like that sounds very good yeah yeah it's worked pretty good for a lot of years
- 2:35[SPEAKER_00]: OK, so let's start with.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_00]: Let's start with you.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_04]: You see a little bit of it.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_04]: I got all the answers for you guys.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_04]: I said, ready for your guys for like a week now.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I mean, the question everybody wonders is what kind of Maryland team's going to come in here after that showing?
- 2:53[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, is the wind out of the sails or were the team rally behind the coach?
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: That's kind of what everybody wonders.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_04]: I can't wait to get to Nebraska because of the stakes you guys have.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_04]: We do looking forward to going out and having a big sad steak when we get there tomorrow night and I love the stage Yeah, do you guys get the greatest fan base?
- 3:16[SPEAKER_04]: I mean they packed the place basketball I love coming to Lincoln.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_04]: It's one of my favorite places.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_04]: How are you guys doing?
- 3:24[SPEAKER_00]: Doing good.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_04]: We're doing fine Yeah, I'll answer that.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_04]: I'll answer it for you.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_04]: It was very very Uncharacteristic what we saw last Saturday
- 3:37[SPEAKER_04]: Nobody saw that coming.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_04]: That is not that is not the definition of a Maryland football team at all For some reason and even the coaching staff said they're shaking their heads because It didn't at all resemble what we had seen in previous games as one of those games were You know, I think start the mushroom and nothing goes right.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_04]: I mean
- 3:58[SPEAKER_04]: Malik Washington's a pretty good quarterback.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_04]: You know, set records left and right at Meroli, a sophomore kid.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_04]: He's never had four passes intercepted.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_04]: Even going back to pop Warner football, never.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_04]: And when it starts to go, and I'm sure you guys at one time or another, Nebraska has gone through something like that.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_04]: And history of their football progress.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_04]: And coaches try to forget about it as quick as they can, which is the only thing you can do.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, you can't sit there and say, well, we have to go to Nebraska and play those guys.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_04]: That reflects upon the team, the team gets all, no, they're focusing on this game.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_04]: I guarantee it will not be like it was last week.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_04]: No, I bet you'll stake better on that.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_04]: I'm on that.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_03]: I like that.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_04]: But it's a challenge for the coaches and Michael Oxley's the first guy to admit, okay, this is my responsibility.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_04]: I coach these guys, it's my job to get them up.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_04]: I thought they were ready.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_04]: defensively they didn't tackle offensively and they couldn't move the ball I mean everything together just fell disaster and that's exactly what it was but it's a team that if you look at the numbers in the big ten they're right up here among the top ten or you know 15 teams in the in the conference so i think it's going to be a whole different ball game coming up on Saturday i'd be very disappointed as would my goxley in the attack and the kids to kids as well
- 5:22[SPEAKER_04]: uh... if they go out and they like they did last week and it wasn't that it was an egg that was locked believe me nobody liked it nobody's happy with it and you move on simple as that and the last count i think we have eight games to play that's right it's a two it's a two and two football team and what are you going to say to your guys okay i guess the season's over because we got beat by uh... you know you see all that i fifty one at home no so i guess we're not going to play no i didn't work that way
- 5:49[SPEAKER_04]: And how many times, well, we saw with a Washington Commander's this past week, they're playing the Super Bowl champions, okay?
- 5:55[SPEAKER_04]: Got no chance to win and they upset them.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_04]: So, you never know, that's a great thing of our college football, I think, is that you go out and, I mean, I look back over the years that I've done these games that come back whenever my Emmy and the Orange Bowl way back in the 80s.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_04]: You're down 31, not to get half time and they came back to win that game.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_04]: So you never know, but I love the stakes and the brass gets, it's going to be wonderful.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_01]: Was there a little bit of a hangover maybe from because the Virginia tech game was huge?
- 6:22[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we talked about an R show, you know, a lot, how big that was.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_01]: It was going to be a true, great college crowd, protect the shell, all those things was that was there something off of that also because of that, that game, how much energy and no matter how you cut it, that was a big game for Maryland football.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_01]: And that didn't, you know, obviously didn't end as well as you wanted to in the Maryland played well.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_01]: Was there a hangover from that do you feel?
- 6:49[SPEAKER_04]: I would say no, they lost by nine points, and they were in the game all the way, but it was an uphill battle though.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_04]: Once you get behind your trail, they trail the entire game, and they got when it was touched out, I think, and it's late in the third quarter, and their quarterback just ran all over Maryland, offensively through the ball, well, a random ball extremely well, and James Franklin coming back here.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_04]: a major major win if you can get that thing sold out when the seat available in the house and they let it slip away.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_04]: I didn't think it was going to be a hangover effect.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe it was.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_04]: And talking to the guys, the guys, you know, there's no hangover any game.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_04]: Every game you got there.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_04]: You've already forgot what you win or lose the previous Saturday and you suck it up and you go on.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_04]: So, you know, who knows?
- 7:41[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I wish I had the answers for you, not trying to avoid the question, but I just, it was puzzling for me to see the way that they played last week, and then, of course, the fan base goes nuts, and they come out of the woodwork and all these experts, and they've got this opinion of that opinion, and all these guys in the football team, and the coaching staff, they shut that stuff out.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_04]: They don't even, don't even get involved in that.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_04]: So, um,
- 8:06[SPEAKER_04]: we're looking forward to coming to lovely ladies and gentlemen uh... it's you know i always like coming out there's a great fan base
- 8:14[SPEAKER_04]: You know, just wonderful people to deal with.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you own counter-abute of, I think the weather will be beautiful.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_00]: Now, let's just say, I want to paint this picture.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you are standing at the fence during warm-ups watching Maryland.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_00]: Would you point out to me and say, okay, I just want to stay on defense on this and say, that's the, those are the two guys or the three guys that are going to make it happen for Maryland today.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_04]: Who are those guys well Malik Washington would be number one right and then you got to take a look at the running backs We lost to one Williams after the first game.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_04]: You had a hundred and something yards in your eye Couple of touchdowns has had a neat problem.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_04]: He's been out the last three games now.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_04]: He's back.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, he's back Okay, how much how much he will play?
- 8:59[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know, but they do have been listed I've recent Howard who stepped in for him last week and got hurt last week is almost close to a hundred percent
- 9:09[SPEAKER_04]: uh... so those two guys would be major Chris dirt junior the transfer from Wyoming uh... the number one receiver who uh... it's been believe favorite target all season long uh... heat the leading receiver last year at white after Wyoming and also our leader receiver i'd watch out for him
- 9:27[SPEAKER_04]: And defensively, I think, a good, like it's Sidney Stewart, the linebacker on the left side.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_04]: Just kidding, it's absolutely phenomenal.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_04]: Fresh foot of the year, in the Big Dan last year, where's number 11?
- 9:38[SPEAKER_04]: He is on the left side of the linebacking core.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_04]: And then Daniel Wengate, on the right side, they got good strong linebackers.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_04]: Wengate, just see your kid.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_04]: These two guys are the one-two punch defensively.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_04]: And so that's what I did.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_04]: push we have this week because they got pushed around pretty good last week.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_04]: It's a young offensive line you got a you got a shock board left tackle you got a junior playing center you got a shock board right guard and I not that they're still learning how to play together but a lot of these guys have transferred in so
- 10:14[SPEAKER_04]: I think the offensive line will be something to take a look at as well.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_04]: I think body language too.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_04]: I didn't like the body language last week, you know, the entire game, it kind of diminished a little by a little where there was zero in that fourth quarter.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_04]: I think that's going to be important.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_04]: And the good thing about getting away is sometimes guys play better on the road.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_04]: I know Gary Williams just tell me a basketball.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_04]: We can't wait to get out of here.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_04]: You need to get away from the criticism.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_04]: You got, you should guess, you against them.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_04]: And that I think it's going to be good for these guys to get away.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_04]: They won the only road game so far this year.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_04]: So I haven't gone to an all the road to start a season and many, many years.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_04]: So this would be huge.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_03]: Don't worry, Johnny, holiday voice, the Maryland football.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_03]: We were looking at some stats last year, Johnny, that Malik Washington, when we got sacked eight times on the season last year, five times this year, but eight times last year is that is a quick anticipation.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_03]: What do you, how do you explain that from Malik Washington?
- 11:12[SPEAKER_04]: what is he's got sacked five times so far this year uh... i think that you see all they got him once virginia tech out of a couple of times the offensive line was prevent us last year they they gave him great protection and the nice the nice thing about malica that he can run the ball as well as anybody can he's running more this year you'll pick a look at that as well because the new often some coordinator we've got clenched rickett has got him spreading out more running the football more
- 11:41[SPEAKER_04]: He's already carried 16 times, and not as good as you're a quarterback running the ball, but he's very good, he's a big kid, and I think he's adjusted quite well.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_04]: I know he likes to run it, but every time you come to quarterback kicks off, you take a deep breath and hold your breath, he's got to be able to get up off the turf.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_04]: So I think they got to protect Malay, they just have to protect them.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_00]: Johnny, have you taken a look at Nebraska in your world, you do that?
- 12:12[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, what are your impressions of the team you're playing?
- 12:18[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I can all be go by looking at numbers and notes and stuff like that.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_04]: But I've ever collandery a last year.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_04]: Had a pretty good game against us.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_04]: And I'm looking at his numbers, man, he's running the ball.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, he is.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_04]: 4041 yards already.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_04]: and a couple of touchdowns.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_04]: When you have your quarterback as your leading passer and rush your in a game, that says that says how good this kid is.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, he's he's obviously amazing.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_04]: And I think that's the guy that's going to have to focus on the shutting down that you look at him.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_04]: Is it rule?
- 12:52[SPEAKER_04]: Jamal rule that running back?
- 12:54[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, he is.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_03]: He won't play this game probably, though.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_04]: Is he out tomorrow?
- 12:58[SPEAKER_03]: He's doubtful for the game Saturday as of yesterday.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_04]: Was he a big ten freshman of the weekend one time he was that he was he was then you're a jacory bonded junior number one receiver yes that's a quasi quasi Gilmer I don't know how I got away from UCLA probably got sick and tired of Westwood I guess when they come live in Lincoln 240 yards four touchdowns wow and a career high last week so they got so much
- 13:33[SPEAKER_04]: It does.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_04]: 360 sets are in 60 down yards of total offense, so the defense is going to have its work cut off for and believe me.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_04]: And looking at the offensive line, oh my god, Alabama, LSU, Iowa State transfers.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_04]: They're big, and all these guys are over 300 pounds, all these guys are over 6-2 big big offensive line.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_04]: So that in a nutshell, having never seen them play this year is my evaluation.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, good job.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_04]: I'm really, very well.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we'd like to follow press conferences a lot here.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_01]: And every single week, there is just a firestorm usually.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_01]: Somebody, there's different ones of anger.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_01]: There's conversations made, those shots that other teams, there's all these different themes.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_01]: But it seems as if to us that locks wins the press conference almost every time.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_01]: Every time he's in a difficult spot, he does a really good job.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_01]: What is your relationship with him and how and how have you seen him how he's handle this because there's been some tough times for him here recently We have this radio show tonight.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, I've got to clock the 80s during time and you folks out there and Nebraska You can listen to it on the internet.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, he is probably the most Continual honest Coach that I think I've ever worked for
- 14:56[SPEAKER_04]: It's a special relationship, a broadcaster in the coach, if you're not in the same page, you could be a long season, and I've known Mike for 20 years since he was here the first couple of times and went away to Alabama and he came back here.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_04]: He's honest, he doesn't hold anything back, and we're sitting there and before the show tonight, I'll say to him, which way do you want to go on this thing?
- 15:20[SPEAKER_04]: He says, well, let's first of all get to get out of the way of my shatters, okay?
- 15:26[SPEAKER_04]: Let's talk about that.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_04]: Wow.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_04]: So we'll do that.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_04]: And I can tell you exactly what he says.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_04]: I'm the football coach here at Maryland.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_04]: My job is to coach the kids for every game, when or lose.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_04]: That's been the focus.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_04]: He met with the athletic director on Monday.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_04]: As he always does, they go over the weeks game.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_04]: Nobody came with happy out of that, that meeting.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_04]: he said he's disappointed the athletic director Jim Spitz disappointed fans are we move on and that's exactly the way he should handle things I think he'll be optimistic he'll be positive and but he won't avoid any kind of controversial question he'll just just like to at the press conference last week somebody asked him about well how do you relate to your team how do you get your team up he said I try to get them up by inspiring him
- 16:19[SPEAKER_04]: And letting them know if you do what you're supposed to do, we're going to win this game.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_04]: If you don't, then it's going to be problems.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_04]: He's always positive, always looks at the silver lining.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_04]: So there's no doubt that that's what he's done this week.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_04]: And he's at the light to work with, you know, he lost the sun some years ago.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_04]: So he puts that in perspective.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_04]: When you lose the sun, there's nothing like it.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_04]: if you're trying to compare a losing football games to a son or a family member no way i'm not going to go there that's not even worth talking about so he's been through a lot of tough times and he's also been through a lot of good time we went to three consecutive bold games because i can coach he can recruit
- 17:06[SPEAKER_04]: and you guys would absolutely be delighted to spend some time with him.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_04]: Nice, Johnny.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_03]: Well, Johnny, we appreciate the time.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_03]: We hope you have a safe travel to Lincoln.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_03]: Enjoy your steak while you're here.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_03]: One last thing, Bill.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_04]: One last question.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_04]: And you guys got to come by the bush and that each symbol of our free food on Saturday.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_01]: Free food.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_01]: My steves are best shot.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_01]: People did that.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_01]: Steve will be up there.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_04]: I have one last question.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_04]: I steve a man up the trough.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I'm a man of the trough.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_00]: Most certainly a man of the trough.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_00]: I'm as defined by that actually.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_04]: I'll bring some low calorie stuff like brownies and e-clayers, healthy e-clayers.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, thank you.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_00]: Johnny, one last question for you.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_01]: Have you ever dying or what is your friendship level like with Scott Van Pelt?
- 17:54[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, Scott's a good guy.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_04]: I like you.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_04]: He's kind of the face of ESPN right now.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_01]: And he raves about Maryland constantly.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_01]: So I just want to know what your relationship was.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, great guy.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_04]: I great guy.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_04]: We've done a lot of things together.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_04]: And he's a Maryland graduate.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_04]: And yeah, he's one of the best.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_04]: He openly was not happy with the game against UCLA.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_04]: I think on his platform as some social media, he expressed his on happiness and how he
- 18:24[SPEAKER_04]: But also the fact that these are kids playing a football game and they're making a pretty good income doing so and then they deserve better than that and they have to play better.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_04]: I like Scott.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_04]: Good guy.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_04]: Really good guy.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_03]: Well, Johnny, enjoy the game here, Lincoln, and we'll talk to you down the road.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_03]: Thanks so much.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you, Johnny.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_00]: Good job.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_00]: Johnny holiday, Maryland.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_00]: Play my play voice.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_00]: That was good.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_00]: That was nice.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_00]: What he said about locksley.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_00]: And that's the only thing I guess you can do is stay positive.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_00]: And they might not be, I mean, they're one win away and Lincoln from turning it in around.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you're always one winner.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_01]: That's how quick it can turn.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_01]: One thing is all since you're flying back home and you're with a win and you're happy.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_01]: Here we go.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure that what happens is though something I said, the foot hits the ball and you're watching the film, that's the part that
- 19:16[SPEAKER_01]: The offense, I think, has a chance to be better for Maryland.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if they can fix the defense.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, really?
- 19:22[SPEAKER_01]: That's the part that, I mean, Virginia Tech went up and down the field.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_01]: It's just a year old.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_01]: So did, so did.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it was, and they rallied back offensively hung in there, made a few plays.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't want to delve into it because it sounded critical, but there was some definite errors in my opinion on when to go for two in that game, and they could have got it down to a one-score game at the end of the could have had a chance.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_01]: with it and how they handle when they went for their two, but that's here and are there.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_00]: That's what you saw them you saw them a little bit though.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just a defense look athletically.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_01]: They're athletic enough, but you talk about the tackling and when you look at them.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_01]: Michigan State's defense will look better.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_01]: You'll see that right.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_01]: When you watch that surprise is going to come back to you and say, they look better than Maryland.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_01]: It's not a stout square D. It's not.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_01]: That surprises me a lot.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_03]: But Bontek had 25 first downs, 445 total yards against Maryland.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_03]: UCLA, 19 first junts, 475.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_03]: regard it's what the two teams rush for, you say the rush for 266 and Virginia Tech rushed for you.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_03]: I want that.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_03]: I want that stuff.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_03]: Virginia Tech rushed for 131.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_03]: It's not it's not terrible.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_02]: Not bad.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_03]: When you give up 267, that's
- 20:40[SPEAKER_01]: Those, you can't start it when it's a very, and it's hard to fix.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_01]: You don't come back and just go, okay, hang on now.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_01]: We just got to do run fits, guys.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry, we were doing past stuff.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_01]: It's the run, no.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_01]: You start everything with that.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_01]: And that is a hard fix because what it does is it's generally the only way to fix it is population.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_01]: Meaning closer to the ball, more one high, which allows your receivers on the outside.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_01]: More on one one situation.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_01]: So they're not it's not going to be a light box if it is Nebraska will rush for 300 if they play see But if they but if they go heavy box then Gilmour gets loose.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you have chance for big place Yeah, so I I measured their Nebraska's pretty exciting.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_01]: You see 260 rushing the last game
- 21:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and yeah, thank you Bill.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_01]: And we're blown away by that.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_01]: We're blown away that they flew six hours and did that to him.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's the part that gets you because USC won across the country and they they about it was 42 to 35 rockers.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, just again, Laman question.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_00]: You can't really play one high safety against Nebraska,
- 21:43[SPEAKER_00]: They'll play one, everybody plays one high.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_00]: That's not like a, that's not an odd thing to do.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_00]: Some people play nothing.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_00]: But don't worry, I slide up if you're clamoring a little bit.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, because if you're playing quarters, the corners are still on their own.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, and cover two, you might stop the run and take your handle that well.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, thank you.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_01]: We'll be back in early break in the thick.
