often think about because there's a lot of people out there thinking that they're good

people. And according to the world standard, some people might think I'm a

good person. You might think you're a good person according to the world standards.

Why because you haven't you haven't done this, you haven't done that.

At least you're not doing what this other person is doing, Amen, or

or whatever that person is doing. So in your mind, by the world

standards, by how the world judges us, we're considered to be good people.

But did you know that in the word of God, God himself says

that no, not one of us are good. Only God is good.

Hey, man, we're gonna see that clearly in the scriptures, Like we

don't even have to look hard to see that. We don't even have to

think hard to realize that no one is good. That's why I'm calling this

tell you in a minute. Here's the question. What were you taught growing

up when you were growing up concerning being a good person? Right? Some

people never had this opportunity to be taught even the idea of what a good

person is. That's sad. So what do you think, considering when you

were growing up, what was the standard of a good person? I can

already hear things in my mind right now of what I was taught when I

was growing up of what a good person was. I'll tell you real quick.

Oh, go to school, good in school, go to maybe a

trade school after you know, you go through high school, graduate, go

to a trade school or college, and then get a good job, mind

your own business right, pay your bills, be responsible. So it was

about doing something right when I was growing up. It was about doing something

to prove to everybody else that you're a good person. God doesn't think of

it that way, He doesn't teach it that way. And we're gonna find

out. We're gonna be in Psalms fourteen versus one to three, Psalms Chapter

Lord God, that you would continue to teach us and show us who

we are not alone. That although we are not good, you make us

good. Although we're not faithful, sometimes you are always faithful all the time.

Although we're not acting righteous and doing righteous acts is all the time.

Although we might not do holy things or think holy things all the time,

you are holy all the time. Thank you, Lord Jesus for doing what

you have done, for what you do, what you continue to do,

and what you promised that you would do for all eternity, for us and

through us and Jesus Name. I pray, Lord God, I had your

protection. I set forth arquen angels, dispatching the hosts of heaven to really

is good? Why do I say that because the word says that, you

Nope, the word is the word. No one is good. So

I'm fourteen versus one to three. Let's see it. The spiritually ignorant fool

has said in his heart there is no God. I'm gonna say that again,

a spiritually ignorant fool. There's a national holiday for people like this,

for April Fool's Day. A spiritually ignorant fool has said, in his heart,

there is no God. They are corrupt. They have committed repulsive and

unspeakable deeds. There is no one who does good. We see that.

We have the cross references in Romans chapter three, verse ten. The Lord

has looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there

are any who understand or act wisely, who truly seek after God, longing

for his wisdom and guidance. They have all turned aside together they have become

corrupt. There is here it is. There is no one who does good,

not even one. So that proves to me that, Wow, children

of men, see that right. It doesn't say children of God. Come

on. The Bible is amazing when you read it for what it really says.

Not just go by what people are telling you, but read the word

for yourself, and you realize, wait a minute. It doesn't say children

of God are evil or are bad. It says children of men. Remember

the fall Genesis chapter three, very important. I always talk about it.

In the beginning, God created the heavens in the earth Genesis one, Genesis

two. He created everything, every single thing that was necessarily or needed for

man to live. And then after that, right he created man, and

man was deceived. Eve was deceived by the surfer. And remember that,

and remember God said, let's create them. Let's create man in our image.

Male and female created them, and they were created by the image of

God. The fallen man, Adam and Eve gets kicked out of the garden.

They don't God showing grace. He could have started all over right then

that point, the fall of man created a need for a savior. The

falling man created a need for a redeemer. To fall a man meant that

once we were created in the image of God. Now, because of the

fall, and when Adam and Eve, you know, gave birth, Eve

gave birth to children, mankind was created. An image says here, children

of men, the image of mankind. A lot of people don't agree with

what I say when I but if you think about it, clearly, that's

So if you think about it, God is saying, my children, the

opposite of the children of men is the children of God. My children are

good. Why because He says we are. And if you don't believe in

God, you're a fool. According to the scripture, you're ignorant of the

fact that there is a God, and you become corrupt, you commit unspeakable

deeds, and God says no one does good Romans three ten. Then you

have another reference in the scriptures, in Romans chapter three, verse eleven,

and in verse twelve. Right, you see it all over the scriptures.

Right, this cross references to these scriptures Romans three twelve. You think about

it. God has spoken already. He showed us in the scripture that none

of us are good. Yet a lot of us are going around saying,

oh, I'm good. We're only good if we have God in us working

through us by way of His spirit. Other than that, ladies and gentlemen,

no one of us could go around saying that we're good. I'm careful

with saying I'm good, Amen, compared to who I always say, because

if any Amen, I do good things because I only know good things from

what God has showed me in his word and when I applied the goodness of

God, what He showing me in life. Those things are good. Whatever

God has shown you, whatever God has taught you, those things are good.

There's nothing that I could say that on my own as a child of

man. Amen, on my own. If I was just a child of

man, I'm a child of God. But if I was just a child

of man without God, without his spirit, I can never say I'm good,

even though I will probably say, just like everybody else who does not

have the spirit of God living in them, I'm good. I could test

that daily. I can put that to the test, and if you're honest,

you're realized that we won't pass the test of the basic standards of the

law of God. We won't pass the test I've lied before, I've cheated

before, I've stolen before, I've lusted before with my eyes, I use

God's name in vain before. Amen. Verbally, So, based on just

breaking those four out of ten commandments, I'm not good. If I was

in a condition like that, and I would go meet the Father who is

holy, righteous, loving, just, he would righteously judge me based upon

those four commandments that I broke, and I can't say I'm good, and

I will be judged for those commandments being broken. I'm talking about without Christ.

If I died without Christ, thank you Jesus for having grace and mercy

upon my life. That I have Christ in my life, that once I

depart from here, I go into eternity with the Lord. Amen. But

without Christ, that's a crisis. And if you die in a condition and

a state of breaking the law, you know, hating your hating your brother

and sister, lusting, lying, stealing, using God's name in vain,

whatever the case may be, whatever the ten out of there that you have

broken already, because we've all broken the law, all have broken the law,

we've all done it. You die like that without being forgiven, Amen,

And you're presented before a righteous, holy, loving God, the God

that a lot of people say doesn't exist. If he does exist, then

we're in trouble. I know he exists, but I have to say,

if, out of respect for people who are ignorant according to the scripture to

who God is, or ignorant to the fact that there is a God,

how would you be judged? Would you go to heaven or would you go

to hell? Ask people that all the time, and some of them say,

well, according to that, I'll go to hell. And I always

ask people does that concern you? Like? Is that troubling to you?

Right? And people just think about it. I don't know. I never

thought about it. Amen, hopefully you're thinking about it. So the first

question, now that you know that no one is good according to the scriptures,

what must I do to be made good? Or what must I do

to be saved? And Jesus was asked that question by Nicodemons at night.

Nicodemons was a religious leader of his time. He was a pharisee or sadducy.

I believe he was just to say religious leader. I don't know if

it was pharisee, is saggy? I want to say he was a pharisee

but religious lead of his time, and ask Jesus a question, what must

I do to be saved? Jesus answered, you must be born again to

inherit the Kingdom of God. Because if you're basically, if you're dying as

a child of man, then you are going to receive what children of men

receive. You know, when we're done here. But if you're born again,

born by the spirit, right God places the spirit in you, you're

being renewed, restored, redeemed, saved and being saved. Amen, you

must be born again, Jesus said. That's the question that the Philippi and

Jaala asks Paul and Silas after God miraculously sprung them out of prison. They

will responded, believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.

You can see that in Acts chapter sixteen, verse number thirty and thirty one.

If you believe in the Lord Jesus, you will be saved. That's

the right answer, Amen. And when Jesus spoke to Nicodemus, that's the

right answer. Because if we think we're going around being good, good without

God. As a matter of fact, God's the only one that's good and

remember when Jesus was walking along, someone that came up to Jesus said,

good teacher, and Jesus asked the question, why do you call me good?

In other words, are you calling me God? Who told you I

was God? And you're right by saying I'm God. But Jesus said,

only God is good. So either you're calling me God because only God is

good, because a good teacher means a gollic teacher. Anyway, that might

be a little bit reaching for a morning devo, but read it. It's

in the scriptures. It isn't always the answer people want to hear a man

about being good all Some people actually say, you're actually telling me Sam,

that only way I could be good if I have God in my life.

Yes, the scripture says that, take it to leave it. A scripture

does say that not one of us are good on our own, but with

God we could do good deeds, have good things in us, have Holy

Spirit God, which is good. Amen. We could do good for others

in love and in righteousness and in truth only by being empowered by Holy Spirit

God. I'm not saying that there's no people out there that doesn't do good

deeds. I'm not saying that Christians are the only ones that do good deeds.

I know atheists that do better deeds than I do, because they're in

a better position financially to do good deeds for others. But they're without Christ.

And although they might seem to have everything together, they have the eternal

part not together yet. And last time I check, eternity is way more

time than the temporal amen what we have here. So if they don't get

their life right with the God who created them, when they die, it

was they gained the whole world and lost its soul. It's not an even

trade. I wouldn't trade that my soul for any amount of money, any

amount of fame, any amount of status of goodness or whatever. No way,

it's not worth it. Believe in the Lord Jesus and you'll be saved.

That's the right answer, but it isn't always the answer people get when

they want to know how they can have eternal life, And sadly, it

isn't always the reason people give when asks why they think they have eternal life.

Some people think that they have to be a good person to receive eternal

life, but the scripture says that no one, no, not no one

is good, and we read it songs shot the fourteen verses one to three.

Then you have Romans three, verse ten. Let's open that link real

a New Testament, Apostle Paul, inspired by Holy Spirit God. As it

is written, no one is righteous, no not one. No one understands,

become worthless. No one does good, not even one. Inspired by Holy

Spirit. Apostle Paul reminds us that if we're trying to do good works without

the one that works it out in our lives, then we're working things in

vain. Thankfully, Jesus was very clear about how we could be saved.

In today's verse. Jesus said that if we listen to his word and believe

in him, the Father who sent them, we immediately passed from death to

life. Amen. That's what we see in the scriptures. You see that

in John chapter five, twenty four. But I'm out of time. There's

But the promise that God gives us an eternal life is not based on

us being good. It's based on Him being good. No one here is

good. Amen, Only God is good. Receive his word where we're in

Psalms chapter fourteen, verses one to three. Read Psalm chapter fourteen the whole

chapter for yourself. Amen, and receive the goodness of God in your life,

so that way you could do good and be good and be a part

of His goodness and his good plan. And then you'll know for sure that

you're eternally save. Amen. So you have an eternal, an eternal situation

going on in a temporary world. Right, that's an amazing thing. No

one is good. Don't be discouraged because we're part of the no ones that

are not good. But be encouraged that if you're in Christ, if God

saved you, rescued you, He gave you a new heart, a new

life, a new plan, is transforming you. He's redeeming you. He's

restoring all things good to your life. And then he says that you're right,

your holy right, and you are good because this goodness of God inside

of us working through us. So I'm fourteen. Read that for yourself Amen.

put it all together. And I believe that God will work this in your

good on our own, in God, in Christ, we have total peace
