- 0:23Speaker 1: It is time to believe your worries outside and laugh
- 0:27Speaker 1: with us inside the treehouse. I'm Daniel Malley along with
- 0:31Speaker 1: Trey Trenholm and Raj Sharma today Thursday March twentieth, twenty
- 0:37Speaker 1: twenty five. I'm going to share a name today with
- 0:43Speaker 1: you both that I feel is going to go down
- 0:46Speaker 1: and infamy here inside the treehouse. Okay, But before I
- 0:52Speaker 1: share the name and the story of this man with you,
- 0:56Speaker 1: I have a general question to ask of you both.
- 1:00Speaker 1: What is your go to karaoke song? Do you have one?
- 1:06Speaker 1: Because Tray, you don't strike me as a karaoke singing man,
- 1:09Speaker 1: because in the many many years that we've known each other,
- 1:14Speaker 1: I've never seen you do karaoke.
- 1:18Speaker 2: I'm not not much of a singer. I spare everyone.
- 1:22Speaker 1: You know what, that doesn't stop a lot of people
- 1:24Speaker 1: from doing karaoke.
- 1:25Speaker 2: That is true.
- 1:26Speaker 3: It's true.
- 1:30Speaker 1: If you had to, if you had to, if one
- 1:32Speaker 1: of your girlfriends pulled a gun on you and said
- 1:34Speaker 1: you got to sing a song for me, what are
- 1:36Speaker 1: you going to sing?
- 1:37Speaker 2: Crazy bitch?
- 1:41Speaker 1: And that, kids, is how you set somebody up for
- 1:44Speaker 1: a solid punchline. Raj, what about you, what's your go
- 1:48Speaker 1: to karaoke song.
- 1:50Speaker 4: It's not buck Cherry, but it is Canada's finest. Brian
- 1:56Speaker 4: Adams Summer of sixty nine. That is okay, mm hmm.
- 2:01Speaker 4: I thought you're about to say.
- 2:02Speaker 1: It was Everything I Do I Do for You from
- 2:04Speaker 1: the old Robin Hood movies starring Kevin Costner.
- 2:08Speaker 4: Or he had a British accent for about a minute
- 2:09Speaker 4: and a half.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Yeah, they gave up, gave up before the end of
- 2:12Speaker 1: the first act.
- 2:16Speaker 2: What's yours? Dan?
- 2:19Speaker 1: So like you, Trey, I'm not. I'm not a big
- 2:21Speaker 1: karaoke guy, but I have done it once. And my
- 2:27Speaker 1: song that one time was Vanilla Ice Ice Ice Baby.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Not what I would have imagined.
- 2:35Speaker 4: Really, he looks like he knows all the words.
- 2:39Speaker 1: I did not know all the words to that song
- 2:41Speaker 1: until just a couple of years ago. I knew I
- 2:43Speaker 1: knew parts of the song, like the main parts, but
- 2:47Speaker 1: not every single word. That that didn't happen until a
- 2:49Speaker 1: couple of years ago.
- 2:51Speaker 2: I figive me something like take it to the limit. Oh,
- 2:54Speaker 2: that's a good one. One more time.
- 3:01Speaker 1: I'd like to point out that that joke, that punchline,
- 3:06Speaker 1: stands alone. That's funny without any context whatsoever, But given
- 3:11Speaker 1: the hell that the two you have put me through
- 3:13Speaker 1: over the last week, that really really drives it home.
- 3:20Speaker 2: I was going to go with the boy named Sue.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Uh So.
- 3:27Speaker 1: It hurts, is what I'm saying.
- 3:29Speaker 2: I bet.
- 3:32Speaker 4: Cash or you can go melow Camp. Hurt so good?
- 3:36Speaker 1: Probably more like it. Yeah, all right, now I'm going
- 3:39Speaker 1: to share with you the name of the man that
- 3:40Speaker 1: is going to go down and infamy here inside the
- 3:43Speaker 1: treehouse show. Have you ever been so mad at karaoke
- 3:50Speaker 1: that you pulled the gun and shot at somebody?
- 3:56Speaker 2: Thought about it? Wanted to Yeah, because I don't own
- 4:00Speaker 2: a gun.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Finger guns also can drive the point home rush or
- 4:07Speaker 1: just point at the doors. They ain't get out because
- 4:11Speaker 1: there is there's a man from Florida, and let's not
- 4:13Speaker 1: hold the Florida thing against him. I think in this case,
- 4:15Speaker 1: let's hold the man against Florida. Last Saturday, at two
- 4:20Speaker 1: thirty in the morning, Aaron Jablonski, who is thirty four,
- 4:24Speaker 1: was at the Overtime Sports Bar and the karaoke machine
- 4:28Speaker 1: broke down. He was so ready to sing his song
- 4:34Speaker 1: that when he was told the karaoke machine was busted
- 4:37Speaker 1: like the ice cream machine at McDonald's, he went crazy,
- 4:41Speaker 1: a hole falling down Michael Douglas type of thing. To
- 4:46Speaker 1: his credit, he tried to go outside to calm down,
- 4:49Speaker 1: but that's when a fellow patron came outside and said, yo, bro,
- 4:53Speaker 1: you need to calm down. That's when Aaron pulled out
- 4:56Speaker 1: his glock nine millimeter and fired off around just one,
- 5:04Speaker 1: according to the police report, just one, which seems weird.
- 5:10Speaker 2: There's a warning shot. I got it, I guess.
- 5:16Speaker 1: But yes, young Aaron Jablonski, at two thirty in the
- 5:19Speaker 1: morning on Saturday, karaoke machine broke down, and so did
- 5:24Speaker 1: he because he had more than one song in his
- 5:31Speaker 1: heart that morning. In fact, we think he had ten
- 5:38Speaker 1: of them. This is better the second time around, Ladies
- 5:47Speaker 1: and gentlemen, it is time for the Treehouse Top ten.

- 7:47Speaker 1: the kids just go nuts on the Backstreet Boys.

- 9:46Speaker 7: to definitely you know, beef that up and start giving
- 9:50Speaker 7: back to the foundation. And it's unfortunately, this is a
- 9:53Speaker 7: foundation nobody wants to have to donate to, but it's
- 9:56Speaker 7: the real world is that these things do happen, and
- 10:00Speaker 7: it's it's the type of foundation that you don't want around,
- 10:03Speaker 7: but you definitely want it to be, you know, available.

- 10:25Speaker 7: in the accounting side and have funds available that when
- 10:29Speaker 7: the families need it, it's going to be there.
- 10:31Speaker 2: So we're very.
- 10:32Speaker 7: Fortunate to be a part of the organization. And we
- 10:35Speaker 7: look forward to try and assist and help it as
- 10:37Speaker 7: much as we can.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Not only a company that cares about you as a client,
- 10:41Speaker 1: but Cook DFW Roofing and Restoration also cares about its

- 11:40Speaker 1: you want to quote on doing some remodeling work eight
- 11:42Speaker 1: three three Cook DFW or the website COOKDFW dot com.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Back inside the Treehouse now, I'm Daniel Maley along with
- 11:50Speaker 1: Trey Trenholm and Raj Sharma. We just talked about the
- 11:54Speaker 1: top ten songs that the gun Totin Floridian wanted to
- 11:57Speaker 1: sing a karaoke but he couldn't. And number three on
- 12:01Speaker 1: our list was I Wanted that Way by Backstreet Boys
- 12:04Speaker 1: and Tray. You said that song was voted number two
- 12:07Speaker 1: greatest song of the.
- 12:10Speaker 5: He did the top one hundred songs of the twentieth
- 12:12Speaker 5: century and that was number two, and I was right,
- 12:14Speaker 5: let it be was number one.
- 12:16Speaker 2: Oh, okay, gotcha. I'd imagine, okay, gotcha. Yeah.
- 12:21Speaker 4: I didn't know that was about his mother. I thought
- 12:23Speaker 4: as a Hindu, I was like when mother Mary comes
- 12:25Speaker 4: to me. I thought it was like Jesus's mom, But
- 12:30Speaker 4: his mother is Mary McCartney.
- 12:35Speaker 1: Actually, be careful. We're learning things inside the Treehouse and
- 12:39Speaker 1: people aren't used to that.
- 12:41Speaker 5: I heard him tell that story many times, but really
- 12:44Speaker 5: one of the prettiest versions of him telling that story
- 12:49Speaker 5: kind of emotional, ironically was James Corden did a special
- 12:54Speaker 5: of Paul McCartney Carporol karaoke and he told the story
- 12:57Speaker 5: of that song.
- 12:57Speaker 2: It was really beautiful.
- 12:58Speaker 4: That's where I heard that. I didn't know it was
- 13:01Speaker 4: about his mom. That was amazing, such a beautiful and
- 13:05Speaker 4: it changes the dynamic of the song.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah.
- 13:10Speaker 1: I think it's interesting how we assign certain meanings to things,
- 13:16Speaker 1: whether it be the lyrics or the theme of a song,
- 13:19Speaker 1: or hell even movies, books, whatever, for ourselves. We personalize
- 13:24Speaker 1: it and then when the person that actually wrote it
- 13:27Speaker 1: or performed it said no, I was thinking about mom, Like, oh,
- 13:30Speaker 1: that makes more sense.
- 13:33Speaker 4: But it's like if it was like, you know, Ganesh
- 13:36Speaker 4: comes to me like I have a cousin named Ganesh,
- 13:38Speaker 4: But I'm not thinking like.
- 13:41Speaker 1: May't not be the right lyric? Right might be a
- 13:43Speaker 1: little confusing.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Too bad for you, Dan. They never did a behind
- 13:49Speaker 2: the music on Brump Shasher.
- 13:53Speaker 1: You leave Rex in effect out of this.
- 13:59Speaker 4: Behind your guy, it is it behind your music?
- 14:04Speaker 1: I love that song. That's one of my all time favorites.
- 14:06Speaker 2: I bet it is.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Not because of the reason you're shut up. It's because
- 14:15Speaker 1: it's a great song.
- 14:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:17Speaker 5: Boom boom, boom, get in, get out.
- 14:24Speaker 2: That's what you gotta do, buddy.
- 14:28Speaker 1: What were some of the other songs on that list.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Ray we said it was MTV's top one hundred of
- 14:32Speaker 1: the twentieth century. Oh gosh, was something like some did
- 14:36Speaker 1: they have al Jolson on that list or did they
- 14:38Speaker 1: stay away from certain eras.
- 14:43Speaker 2: Uh, Thriller. Let me see if I can find the
- 14:48Speaker 2: list in order.
- 14:50Speaker 3: See.
- 14:50Speaker 1: I like the song Thriller, but I don't know if
- 14:52Speaker 1: I wouldn't necessarily say it's one of the greatest songs,
- 14:54Speaker 1: one of the greatest videos without a doubt.
- 14:59Speaker 4: I mean it's a it's a good song. I think
- 15:02Speaker 4: Billy Gene is better. And my favorite Michael Jackson song
- 15:07Speaker 4: is Dirty Diana because I mean it's just that bassline
- 15:10Speaker 4: is is killer.
- 15:13Speaker 2: But in syncs not on this Britney Spears.
- 15:19Speaker 1: It's the top one hundred, So I mean it's oh.
- 15:22Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, and this and this wasn't This wasn't music videos.
- 15:28Speaker 5: This was just songs songs.
- 15:30Speaker 1: Can you do you have the list pulled up working
- 15:34Speaker 1: on it? Okay? So I wonder if we could just
- 15:37Speaker 1: like just uh the top ten.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:43Speaker 4: So if number one is let it be. Number two
- 15:47Speaker 4: is Backstreet Boys. That's frightening.
- 15:51Speaker 2: Uh, Biggie Tupunk, they have to be in there. In
- 15:56Speaker 2: that top ten. You think, I don't know.
- 16:02Speaker 1: I keep finding the top videos, not necessarily the greatest songs.
- 16:08Speaker 2: What are the top videos? What is the top ten videos?
- 16:12Speaker 1: The ones you would expect see vacom, the.
- 16:20Speaker 4: Ones I would expect. So wait.
- 16:22Speaker 1: So according to MTV, this was I believe nineteen ninety
- 16:27Speaker 1: nine the top ten music videos of all time. Express
- 16:30Speaker 1: Yourself by Madonna was number ten, Tupac's California Love number nine,
- 16:36Speaker 1: Robert Palmer's Addicted to Love at number eight, Beastie Boys
- 16:39Speaker 1: Sabotage at number seven, Guns n' Roses Sweet Child of
- 16:43Speaker 1: Mine number six, The Run DMC and Errolsmith Walk This,
- 16:48Speaker 1: Walk This Way five, Peter Gabriel's Sledgehammer at number four,
- 16:55Speaker 1: Nirvana Smells Like Teen Spirit number three, Madonna two in
- 16:59Speaker 1: the top ten. She gets the second slot with Vogue
- 17:03Speaker 1: and then number one Thriller by Michael Jackson.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Okay, I can see that.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Yeah, so all those videos make sense as far as
- 17:10Speaker 1: the top ten.
- 17:12Speaker 4: I mean it was a very avant garde video by uh.
- 17:15Speaker 4: The Sledgehammer video was very cool because it was I
- 17:17Speaker 4: think a stop motion.
- 17:19Speaker 1: I don't even remember that one.
- 17:21Speaker 2: Yeah, it's really good. Oh yeah, that was.
- 17:24Speaker 1: I might I know the song, I just don't remember
- 17:25Speaker 1: the video.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:28Speaker 4: I think that's why it might have got in that
- 17:30Speaker 4: category because it was just nobody had done that style
- 17:34Speaker 4: of video before, like Michael Jackson did the theatrical version,
- 17:37Speaker 4: Madonna did her sexy version, he did stop motion.
- 17:40Speaker 2: So uh yeah, that's an interesting choice.
- 17:44Speaker 1: I still like the uh. I like the Phil Collins
- 17:50Speaker 1: Gorilla on the drums in the Still of the night
- 17:53Speaker 1: or in the air in the air in the area.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, how is that not on there? Or the
- 17:58Speaker 1: Phil Collins song what's the song that he did where
- 18:00Speaker 1: the in the video he does it with the Muppets.
- 18:04Speaker 1: That's a good one anytime anytime muppets are involved.
- 18:08Speaker 2: That that's nuppets.
- 18:10Speaker 1: Mm hmm.
- 18:11Speaker 2: I don't know that video.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Yeah, you you know the song?
- 18:14Speaker 2: Which one? Now?
- 18:16Speaker 1: I got to look up more stuff.
- 18:19Speaker 4: I'm just trying to think of Phil Collins and was
- 18:21Speaker 4: he on the Muppet Show?
- 18:22Speaker 1: So apparently I have searched for this before, because as
- 18:25Speaker 1: soon as I go to Google and I go Phil
- 18:26Speaker 1: co it pops up Phil Collins Muppet music video. That's
- 18:31Speaker 1: how much I love it. It's Genesis Lane of Confusion.
- 18:35Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, that was a good one. That was
- 18:38Speaker 2: a good one.
- 18:39Speaker 4: You know, who never got.
- 18:40Speaker 1: Their own music video that I that I can recall.
- 18:43Speaker 1: The Fraggles never got the love that the Muppets got.
- 18:48Speaker 1: Those poor Fragles.
- 18:50Speaker 2: I mean they had a show.
- 18:51Speaker 1: They did, but I mean just because you get I mean,
- 18:54Speaker 1: I don't remember them being in you know, I mean
- 18:56Speaker 1: this was.
- 18:57Speaker 5: That was that was back when there was just networks. Man,
- 19:00Speaker 5: you got a network show that.
- 19:01Speaker 2: Was pretty big.
- 19:03Speaker 1: Wasn't Fragle Rock on HBO?
- 19:05Speaker 2: No? No? I thought it was on ABC? ABC? Yeah?
- 19:08Speaker 1: Was it okay?
- 19:09Speaker 2: Yeah? Whatever Channel eight was for you.
- 19:13Speaker 1: Yes, Like I watched Fragle Rock and took it too
- 19:16Speaker 1: literally because I was hitting myself in the head with
- 19:18Speaker 1: a rock so.
- 19:20Speaker 4: With with a big pencil. Uh yeah, you were a
- 19:24Speaker 4: fraggle rock guy.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Yeah, I loved Fraggle Rock.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I'm learning so much about you.
- 19:30Speaker 1: I loved the Muppets, I loved Fragle Rock. What's wrong
- 19:33Speaker 1: with that?
- 19:33Speaker 2: Vanilla Ice and Frackle Rock?
- 19:35Speaker 1: What about the Snorkels? You guys remember the Snorkels, the
- 19:37Speaker 1: Little Creature the cartoon show they lived under the sea,
- 19:41Speaker 1: Like what this is? This is way before uh, SpongeBob
- 19:43Speaker 1: they had like the little snorkel tubes.
- 19:45Speaker 2: God, you just can't get whiter.
- 19:51Speaker 3: Watch me.

- 20:30Speaker 1: catch up with the Treehouse Show podcast Back inside the
- 20:34Speaker 1: Treehouse Now, I'm Daniel Malley along with Trey Trenholm and
- 20:36Speaker 1: Raj Sharma, and I've apparently opened you guys's eyes to
- 20:41Speaker 1: a show that you never even knew existed. Maybe this
- 20:43Speaker 1: is maybe this is where our age gap is coming
- 20:46Speaker 1: in to play. There was I mentioned just a little
- 20:49Speaker 1: while ago the show there's a cartoon I used to
- 20:51Speaker 1: watch as a kid called the Snorkels. I was wrong.
- 20:54Speaker 1: I actually got the name of it slightly wrong. It
- 20:59Speaker 1: was actually called Snorks.
- 21:04Speaker 5: I don't think this is an age difference. I think
- 21:06Speaker 5: this is a geography difference, in that you grew up
- 21:10Speaker 5: in Oklahoma.
- 21:13Speaker 1: I don't know why Snorks would be more popular in
- 21:16Speaker 1: Oklahoma versus Texas.
- 21:18Speaker 2: I think public access.
- 21:22Speaker 4: I think Snorks was only available in Oklahoma.
- 21:25Speaker 1: Yeah, now I'm looking at the IMDb. Do you guys
- 21:29Speaker 1: not recognize the artwork of the little cartoon characters? No,
- 21:35Speaker 1: the Snorks are playful, multi colored underwater creatures that use
- 21:39Speaker 1: their built in snorkels to dart about and make music.
- 21:43Speaker 1: It aired from nineteen eighty four to nineteen eighty eight,
- 21:46Speaker 1: So I don't know why.
- 21:49Speaker 2: Yeah, whoa, that's so you got me crash.
- 21:51Speaker 4: But I don't know why I would watch that as
- 21:53Speaker 4: a freshman in high school.
- 21:54Speaker 1: But like, there there were some great cartoons that that
- 22:02Speaker 1: that you could watch as adults. I mean, the what
- 22:05Speaker 1: was it? The animateac was a decent adult show. Rin
- 22:07Speaker 1: and Stimpy obviously was very adult oriented. What was the
- 22:11Speaker 1: other one? Pinky in the Brain? Loved Pinky in the Brain?
- 22:14Speaker 4: Yeah, South Parks always good. H Yeah, I just I've
- 22:20Speaker 4: never heard of the Snorks.
- 22:23Speaker 2: I mean, we're sitting Marty Kroft, not enough for you.
- 22:31Speaker 4: He doesn't remember the Buggaloos, sigmud in the Sea monsters.
- 22:39Speaker 2: He doesn't know.
- 22:43Speaker 1: All right, how about this, Maybe we can find some
- 22:45Speaker 1: common ground with this. Okay, Uh, what was the last
- 22:51Speaker 1: dream you had that that you can remember? What was
- 22:54Speaker 1: the last dream you had?
- 23:00Speaker 2: Last dream that I had this morning?
- 23:03Speaker 4: I was watching I fell asleep watching Sci Fi channel,
- 23:06Speaker 4: so there was something going on about God.
- 23:11Speaker 3: What was it?
- 23:15Speaker 2: Alcatraz? So that was I was in Alcatraz?
- 23:19Speaker 1: So your your most recent dream was you in Alcatraz?
- 23:22Speaker 2: Yes?
- 23:23Speaker 1: As a prisoner or like on a tour. Uh, spectator
- 23:26Speaker 1: in the movie.
- 23:27Speaker 2: That would be an awesome dream.
- 23:28Speaker 4: Oh yeah, but just spectators, just kind of walking through
- 23:32Speaker 4: the thing.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Okay, try what about you? What was your last dream?
- 23:35Speaker 1: Do you remember? I probably a really day honed. The
- 23:43Speaker 1: reason I asked is because a recent poll asked people
- 23:46Speaker 1: if they experienced various dream themes. Okay, apparently it's sleep
- 23:52Speaker 1: Awareness Week, and while no one ever has the exact
- 23:56Speaker 1: same dreams we it's pretty common for people to have
- 24:00Speaker 1: and themes. For example, the poll found that the top
- 24:06Speaker 1: dream that most people had in common at eighty nine percent,
- 24:10Speaker 1: a dream where you're being chased for Trey. That's not
- 24:14Speaker 1: even a dream sometimes that's just what happens after a breakup.
- 24:17Speaker 4: Saturday Night, that's him living the dream.
- 24:24Speaker 1: I know he chased. Yeah, he's being chased running away,
- 24:27Speaker 1: but he's just got a smile on his face and
- 24:30Speaker 1: loving his heart.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Number.
- 24:33Speaker 1: So you guys have had dreams about being chased, I'm assuming.
- 24:37Speaker 2: I have not.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Really, No, I still remember a dream I had when
- 24:42Speaker 1: I was five about being chased by a spider.
- 24:46Speaker 5: I mean, I have had night terrors, and I can
- 24:48Speaker 5: tell you what those dreams were about. Where I have
- 24:50Speaker 5: hurt myself in various ways, and that's yeah, a lot
- 24:53Speaker 5: of times that it's kind of being chased where there's
- 24:56Speaker 5: a creature under my bed or you know, like a
- 24:58Speaker 5: snake or like hell, there's been snake, rats, raccoons where
- 25:05Speaker 5: I was jumping out of my bed trying to get
- 25:07Speaker 5: away from something.
- 25:09Speaker 1: Why were you running away from raccoons? Aren't they're like
- 25:11Speaker 1: cute and cuddly?
- 25:13Speaker 2: Also rabbit?
- 25:14Speaker 1: Yeah, oh, so you had the rabbi raccoon dream.
- 25:18Speaker 2: I don't, don't. I didn't stay and talk to them.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Or are you just that afraid of affection.
- 25:30Speaker 4: You won't even let a raccoon hug You Just imagine
- 25:33Speaker 4: a little trash panda with its arms out like.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Face covered in barbecue sauce and stuff.
- 25:40Speaker 5: This is also when I much younger, you know, I
- 25:43Speaker 5: know a lot more more about trash pandas these days,
- 25:45Speaker 5: I don't know they would scare me as bad now snakes.
- 25:49Speaker 1: Yeah no, yeah, that'll do it. Yeah. So the most
- 25:53Speaker 1: common dream themes. Number one was being chased, okay. Number
- 25:57Speaker 1: two dreams about falling. That's probably my most I'd say
- 26:02Speaker 1: that's my most common, or the threat of falling, like
- 26:06Speaker 1: if I'm like, I'll have a dream where it feels
- 26:08Speaker 1: like I'm at the top of like what is it
- 26:09Speaker 1: the whiz Khalifa?
- 26:10Speaker 4: I mean the yeah, one one is way higher, so you.
- 26:17Speaker 1: Know I've had dreams falling off of that yeah. Uh.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Number three dreams about someone really dream a dream about
- 26:28Speaker 1: someone who hurt you so an ex Uh, dreams about
- 26:32Speaker 1: running late to something, dreams where you're hanging out with
- 26:35Speaker 1: a celebrity.
- 26:36Speaker 3: Uh.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Number six dream where you've lost your voice, unable to
- 26:39Speaker 1: call or shout for help. So those are some of
- 26:42Speaker 1: the most common dream themes. But like, what are the
- 26:46Speaker 1: dreams that, uh, that I have on occasion? And I
- 26:50Speaker 1: don't know if this is just an addiction thing or what,
- 26:53Speaker 1: but I have not had a cigarette in years, but
- 26:56Speaker 1: I still have dreams where I'm smoking really yeah, and.
- 27:01Speaker 4: Can you see it and smell it and all of it?
- 27:05Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 27:06Speaker 1: Wow, see it, smell it, taste it, wake up? Going
- 27:09Speaker 1: hm uh, Trey? What about you? You've been sober for
- 27:14Speaker 1: over eight years, not a drop of alcohol. Do you
- 27:16Speaker 1: have dreams about drinking like I have about smoking?
- 27:19Speaker 5: I have had dreams where, for some reason or another,
- 27:23Speaker 5: I like took a drink and I didn't know it
- 27:26Speaker 5: was alcohol, and then all of a sudden I realized
- 27:28Speaker 5: it was and like this great, like, oh my god,
- 27:33Speaker 5: I just ruined my sobriety over that.
- 27:35Speaker 2: And uh.
- 27:36Speaker 5: But to the point where I woke up, I was like,
- 27:39Speaker 5: oh God, thank God, that was just a dream.
- 27:42Speaker 2: So yeah, I've I've had drinks dreams like that.
- 27:47Speaker 1: Raj. Do you ever have dreams about not shaking? Yes,
- 28:00Speaker 1: although the shaking could come in handy the next time
- 28:03Speaker 1: you see me because you decide to strangle me.

- 29:00Speaker 1: I'm Daniel Malley along with Trey Trenholm and Raj Charm. Guys,
- 29:04Speaker 1: I have something to admit to you. I have gone
- 29:07Speaker 1: down a deep dark hole, and I'm really wishing I'd
- 29:12Speaker 1: phrased that differently.
- 29:16Speaker 2: Every time gets me.
- 29:19Speaker 1: I have gone down a deep dark hole, and instead
- 29:22Speaker 1: of asking you guys to help pull me out of it,
- 29:24Speaker 1: I'm just gonna drag you.
- 29:25Speaker 2: Down with me.
- 29:27Speaker 1: Do you remember when we mentioned last week that our good,
- 29:31Speaker 1: proud Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick wants to rename the
- 29:35Speaker 1: New York Strip Steak to the Texas Strip. Well, two
- 29:42Speaker 1: New York restaurants are fighting back to stop it. So
- 29:46Speaker 1: it's getting real now. Okay News traveled up to New
- 29:51Speaker 1: York City, New York, where the owner of Delmonico's stakeouts
- 29:57Speaker 1: a legendary fine dining restaurant in the Financial District pushed
- 30:01Speaker 1: back on the notion of renaming the New York Strip
- 30:05Speaker 1: to the Texas Strip. Okay, he actually supports the claim
- 30:10Speaker 1: that Delmonico's originated the strip back in the nineteenth century
- 30:15Speaker 1: and loot and that dan Patrick's move is ridiculous and
- 30:18Speaker 1: wished him good luck with that. I told Joe went
- 30:21Speaker 1: down a deep dark hole on this. That's not all
- 30:23Speaker 1: I learned. Also, I learned that the reason why Dan
- 30:29Speaker 1: Patrick has proposed this is because he met with the
- 30:32Speaker 1: Texas Cattle Feeders Association and he after meeting with them,
- 30:38Speaker 1: he wants the name change to happen to benefit Texas
- 30:41Speaker 1: cattle ranchers. Okay, Well, there's also another restaurant in New
- 30:47Speaker 1: York in Albany, run by celebrity chef Todd Shapiro. He's
- 30:52Speaker 1: the owner of the War Room Tavern in New York's Capital.
- 30:56Speaker 1: He's planning on filing a lawsuit against the State of
- 30:59Speaker 1: Texas for one million dollars, alleging that the rebranding of
- 31:02Speaker 1: the New York Strip infringes upon New York's cultural heritage
- 31:06Speaker 1: and poses economic harm to businesses that rely on the
- 31:09Speaker 1: recognition and popularity of the New York Strip steak. Lieutenant
- 31:14Speaker 1: Governor Dan Patrick, of course says, well, it's good for
- 31:18Speaker 1: Texas cattle industry and it would help the Texas beef market.
- 31:21Speaker 1: So Texas first, right, Well, going back down this deep
- 31:26Speaker 1: dark hole that I'm in, more information now. So Delmonico's Steakhouse,
- 31:32Speaker 1: which is also fighting back against the renaming of the
- 31:35Speaker 1: New York Strip, actually opened in eighteen twenty seven, which
- 31:39Speaker 1: is even before Texas became a state. Now, the the
- 31:46Speaker 1: Fort Worth Star Telegram enters the chat and they point
- 31:51Speaker 1: out that this particular cut of steak has already gone
- 31:54Speaker 1: through a rebranding because before Dan Patrick wanted to rename
- 32:00Speaker 1: the New York Strip the Texas Strip, the New York
- 32:03Speaker 1: Strip was originally known as the Kansas City Strip before
- 32:10Speaker 1: it was rebranded the New York Strip because the Moniker
- 32:12Speaker 1: didn't fly as the name of a fancy piece of
- 32:14Speaker 1: beef in New York City. So there you have it.
- 32:19Speaker 1: I blame Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick for me now knowing
- 32:22Speaker 1: way more than I ever cared to know about a
- 32:25Speaker 1: cut of beef.
- 32:27Speaker 2: The cut of beef is a strip steak. It's a
- 32:32Speaker 2: strip steak.
- 32:34Speaker 5: Doesn't matter if it's a New York King Strip or
- 32:38Speaker 5: Kansas City strip or Texas Ing strip.
- 32:43Speaker 2: It's just a strip.
- 32:45Speaker 1: Preach brother.
- 32:45Speaker 2: How about this New York you call it a New
- 32:47Speaker 2: York strip. Texas we would call it Texas strip. We
- 32:49Speaker 2: call it Texas strip.
- 32:51Speaker 1: I don't want to know what they call it in
- 32:52Speaker 1: the Gulf. Just whatever touched my leg.

- 33:50Speaker 1: it is Thursday, March twentieth, twenty twenty five. Let's celebrate
- 33:55Speaker 1: with some birthdays. Trump's youngest child, Baron Baron Trump, turns
- 34:05Speaker 1: nineteen today. How tall is he again?
- 34:09Speaker 2: Six six nine.
- 34:14Speaker 1: Six nine, good lord?
- 34:17Speaker 4: Yeah, six seven six nine somewhere in there, like he's
- 34:19Speaker 4: a he's a big fellow.
- 34:21Speaker 1: That's a tall drink of water. Well good on him.
- 34:24Speaker 1: He is. He is nineteen today, the youngest of President
- 34:27Speaker 1: Trump's brood. Baron Trump turns nineteen other birthdays today. From
- 34:34Speaker 1: The Umbrella Academy, Justin h Men is thirty five. He
- 34:38Speaker 1: plays ben Hard Greaves.
- 34:41Speaker 2: Ruby started off so good?
- 34:43Speaker 1: Did you finish it? I never finished it. I watched
- 34:45Speaker 1: the I think I watched the first season, and then
- 34:49Speaker 1: I think I bounced early in the second season. That
- 34:51Speaker 1: just didn't hold me.
- 34:52Speaker 5: It the first three. I love the first three seasons.
- 34:56Speaker 5: And at the end of the third season they wrapped
- 34:58Speaker 5: it up nicely. It was a good ending. And then
- 35:02Speaker 5: they did the fourth season money It was just a
- 35:04Speaker 5: money grab and it was just often.
- 35:07Speaker 1: But uh, the guy whose birthdate is Justin Men Ben
- 35:11Speaker 1: Hargreaves on the Umbrella Academy. Is he the one on
- 35:13Speaker 1: the Umbrella Academy played the big muscled up dude? Or
- 35:17Speaker 1: Am I thinking of a different guy?
- 35:18Speaker 2: No, you're thinking of a different guy. Ben was.
- 35:21Speaker 5: Actually he was probably the least. He was the one
- 35:23Speaker 5: that I believe he's the one that died. He's the
- 35:25Speaker 5: Asian guy that he was that died. Early on, and
- 35:29Speaker 5: he was like the octopus like one.
- 35:32Speaker 1: Okay, I like to think that. Raj, I'm guessing you've
- 35:37Speaker 1: never seen this show. So when Trey says he's the
- 35:39Speaker 1: octopus one, you're just completely in the dark.
- 35:41Speaker 4: I saw the first episode and then I was out
- 35:45Speaker 4: and just yeah, the Asian guy being.
- 35:49Speaker 2: The octopus is hilarious.
- 35:51Speaker 5: Well it's literally he's he's not even alive, but his
- 35:54Speaker 5: power was like he has.
- 35:56Speaker 2: Like all these unicals that come out and can kill people. Okay, gotcha, man.
- 36:02Speaker 1: I hope there's not an unfortunate crossover.
- 36:03Speaker 4: For him and the boys that I would watch.
- 36:17Speaker 1: Anyway. Other birthdays today from Orange is the New Black,
- 36:22Speaker 1: Ruby Rose turns thirty nine. She's also the mute assassin
- 36:26Speaker 1: in the John Wick movies. She was also very very
- 36:29Speaker 1: briefly the CW's Batwoman. I get that show apparently was
- 36:35Speaker 1: so bad that the CW said and Warner Brothers said,
- 36:39Speaker 1: we don't want anybody to see this ever, so they haven't.
- 36:43Speaker 1: They just completely pulled the plug on that, which I
- 36:47Speaker 1: actually give them credit. It's very rare these days that
- 36:50Speaker 1: a studio makes something, or I should say, funds the
- 36:55Speaker 1: making of something and then says this is so bad,
- 36:59Speaker 1: we're just gonna take the loss on it. I kind
- 37:02Speaker 1: of wish Marvel had done that with the new Captain
- 37:04Speaker 1: America movie. Oh the mark I think about that movie.
- 37:10Speaker 1: It's so it's just so.
- 37:13Speaker 2: Bad.
- 37:14Speaker 1: I mean, it's not terrible, terrible, it's just terrible. Really,
- 37:21Speaker 1: it's just not good. Okay, Like there were things in
- 37:26Speaker 1: The Marvels, which is most kind of widely accepted as
- 37:29Speaker 1: the worst of the MCU films, Right, there were things
- 37:32Speaker 1: in the Marvels that I thought was actually really good
- 37:35Speaker 1: and funny. But when they go to the planet that
- 37:40Speaker 1: only sings, I wanted to leave the theater at that point.
- 37:44Speaker 1: So at least it had a high, but it hadn't
- 37:46Speaker 1: had a low.
- 37:47Speaker 2: But you didn't.
- 37:49Speaker 3: You stayed.
- 37:50Speaker 1: Well, it was near the end. I was committed at
- 37:52Speaker 1: that point. And then Captain America a brave new world,
- 37:56Speaker 1: which I think I said in a previous episode they
- 37:58Speaker 1: should have just called it Captain America, Uh brave, you know,
- 38:01Speaker 1: exposition King, because it was a whole lot of explaining
- 38:06Speaker 1: just the whole idea of movies is just to show me.
- 38:10Speaker 1: You don't have to tell me, just show me.
- 38:12Speaker 2: And it pains me.
- 38:13Speaker 5: It pains me to say this, but there is a
- 38:16Speaker 5: common thread of bad movies of.
- 38:19Speaker 2: The last five years.
- 38:22Speaker 5: Okay, that is Harrison Ford in action movies because the
- 38:26Speaker 5: last Indiana Jones was the worst movie ever. Ye and
- 38:31Speaker 5: he also plays the Red Hulk in this one, and
- 38:33Speaker 5: so I believe it's time for Aerson Ford to stop
- 38:37Speaker 5: action movies.
- 38:39Speaker 1: And they and they dug him up for the new Star.
- 38:42Speaker 2: Wars movies the first one.
- 38:44Speaker 1: Yeah, well, but then but then they actually brought him
- 38:47Speaker 1: back to life. That's right, you know, they turned him
- 38:49Speaker 1: into a I don't know if he wasn't necessarily a
- 38:52Speaker 1: forced ghost uh in in the last Star Wars movie,
- 38:55Speaker 1: but they brought him back for his for Kylo slash
- 38:59Speaker 1: Ben and whatever to pretend conversation. That's a really, really
- 39:06Speaker 1: excellent observation, Tray, damn you.
- 39:09Speaker 4: They should just reboot with him and Liam Neeson grumpy
- 39:14Speaker 4: old men like they should just.
- 39:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 39:22Speaker 1: I think I'm on board with that one as well. Yeah,
- 39:25Speaker 1: hell yeah.
- 39:27Speaker 2: The biggest problem is you got to figure out who
- 39:28Speaker 2: to play Burgess Meredith.
- 39:32Speaker 1: You know what, I think these are good problems for
- 39:33Speaker 1: us to have.
- 39:45Speaker 8: You're listening to the Treehouse visit us online that Treehouse
- 39:49Speaker 8: on Air dot com.
- 39:58Speaker 3: You're in the treehouse.
- 40:00Speaker 9: Listen us online at tremouseonair dot com.
- 40:06Speaker 1: It is time that you advertise here inside the tree House.
- 40:10Speaker 1: Sponsorship opportunities are available, so if you're interested, to shoot
- 40:13Speaker 1: us an email Treehouse on Air at gmail dot com.
- 40:15Speaker 1: That's Treehouse on Air at gmail dot com to advertise
- 40:19Speaker 1: right here inside the Treehouse. Show Dan Trey Raj back
- 40:24Speaker 1: with you inside the Treehouse. I think you're right. I
- 40:27Speaker 1: think we figured it out. For the most part. We
- 40:30Speaker 1: don't want Hollywood to reboot movies at all. In some
- 40:34Speaker 1: cases they're doing it too soon. But I think it's
- 40:37Speaker 1: time for Hollywood to give us a bag of cash.
- 40:39Speaker 1: Because we've got the Grumpy Old Men reboot starring Harrison
- 40:44Speaker 1: Ford and Liam Neeson. You can kind of put them
- 40:47Speaker 1: out to pasture as far as action heroes, and maybe
- 40:50Speaker 1: that's part of the reason they're grumpy. But then, Trey,
- 40:53Speaker 1: you asked a very important question in a Grumpy Old
- 40:57Speaker 1: Men reboot, who would play the burgess Meredith part.
- 41:02Speaker 2: Mhm, And I said, I say, Danny DeVito.
