- 0:00Speaker 1: I love it, I love it.
- 0:02Speaker 2: I love you. I understand that. Uh, the biggest fan
- 0:08Speaker 2: of the show listen to the show. We get to
- 0:10Speaker 2: spend this time together every day and it's cool and
- 0:13Speaker 2: we appreciate you hopefully you know you appreciate the effort
- 0:17Speaker 2: that we're putting on this side. And every once in
- 0:19Speaker 2: a while, like the best of friends or the closest
- 0:21Speaker 2: of family, you have those moments where you disagree on
- 0:24Speaker 2: something and that's that's fine. I'm talking about the people
- 0:28Speaker 2: and see the best. You bring it up every once
- 0:30Speaker 2: in a while, like how do this person even end
- 0:32Speaker 2: up here?
- 0:34Speaker 3: And that's the benefit of being quote broadcasters, and it
- 0:37Speaker 3: we reach people who wouldn't necessarily be our audience. You
- 0:39Speaker 3: get people just kind of passing through or yeah, it's
- 0:42Speaker 3: it's so funny.
- 0:43Speaker 1: I was talking to some of our listeners about this
- 0:45Speaker 1: and they're asking about, like, you know, how we deal
- 0:47Speaker 1: with people that get upset with the show cross And
- 0:50Speaker 1: I say, the number one people that burn us all
- 0:54Speaker 1: the time are uber drivers because they expose people you
- 0:58Speaker 1: this show that well it's a blessing and a yeah,
- 1:01Speaker 1: because they expose people to it.
- 1:02Speaker 2: And there are some people who we've read from and so,
- 1:05Speaker 2: oh yeah, I was actually an uber and that's how
- 1:07Speaker 2: I first heard your show and what is this? Yeah,
- 1:08Speaker 2: and they started listening other people. All they want to
- 1:12Speaker 2: do is like fire off an email to management, which
- 1:14Speaker 2: is where we get these emails crossroads, either sent to
- 1:18Speaker 2: the show email at the Woodieshow dot com or again
- 1:20Speaker 2: my favorite ones are the ones that get sent to
- 1:22Speaker 2: the station. If you go on our station, website says
- 1:25Speaker 2: contact us, and it goes to a bunch of different people,
- 1:28Speaker 2: goes to management, sure, which is typically what these people
- 1:30Speaker 2: are trying to do. They're trying to you know, nark
- 1:32Speaker 2: us out to management so they can handle us.
- 1:36Speaker 4: But we handle them by meeting them at the crossroads.
- 1:52Speaker 5: And we will start with this one.
- 1:54Speaker 2: This is to the Woodie Show email email at woodieshow
- 1:58Speaker 2: dot com. This is from Scott double you and the
- 2:02Speaker 2: subject says, Jeff G is.
- 2:03Speaker 5: Ruining the Woody Show.
- 2:07Speaker 2: You're gonna get that, it says, ever since Jeff G
- 2:11Speaker 2: joined the Woody Show, all he does is lay on
- 2:14Speaker 2: that fake accent and tries way too hard to show
- 2:16Speaker 2: everyone he's brown end quote in these streets and it's
- 2:20Speaker 2: killing y'all's show. He's clearly trying to He's clearly trying
- 2:26Speaker 2: to push Mexican stuff onto a show that is supposed
- 2:29Speaker 2: to be American.
- 2:31Speaker 5: And I promise you half of us listeners.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Don't know what a torta is, and the other half
- 2:36Speaker 2: of us just don't care. Your show shouldn't be shoving
- 2:39Speaker 2: representation or quote culture down our throats. Get Jeff g
- 2:44Speaker 2: under control, toning down the Mexican crap, and get back
- 2:48Speaker 2: to the show and what it's supposed to be, an
- 2:50Speaker 2: American show for an American audience. F Tim Martinez.
- 2:55Speaker 6: Two.
- 2:58Speaker 5: That is from Scott double.
- 3:00Speaker 2: We've We've lost Scott, thanks a lot, Jeff.
- 3:03Speaker 5: Yeah, another one.
- 3:11Speaker 3: I wonder if he has a suggestion where we should
- 3:13Speaker 3: say Jeff contender.
- 3:14Speaker 5: Yeah. I would encourage uh, the name Scott oh to
- 3:18Speaker 5: say that out loud at one of our events.
- 3:22Speaker 7: Yeah, trying not me, but all the people that attended
- 3:25Speaker 7: opposed that opinion.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Yeah, oh, Sea Bats. I saw the article where the
- 3:31Speaker 2: ice agents have those gloves that you've had for years.
- 3:33Speaker 3: Yeah, these are these gloves that I used to try
- 3:36Speaker 3: to us, I believe, Yeah, we.
- 3:37Speaker 5: Tried them out.
- 3:37Speaker 3: They're they're basically shock gloves where all you do is
- 3:40Speaker 3: grab some one's arm and it's essentially yeah. They had
- 3:43Speaker 3: him in China for years. That's where I literally bought mine.
- 3:45Speaker 3: I had like, yeah, in China. They thought I was
- 3:47Speaker 3: a law enforcement agency. They sent me some and us
- 3:50Speaker 3: will tell you that they'll take you to the ground.
- 3:53Speaker 5: I saw the article on my.
- 3:56Speaker 3: Been having them right, and they were using them in
- 3:59Speaker 3: prisons because I've you don't want to bring firearms into
- 4:01Speaker 3: prison because they can you could lose it and they work. Man,
- 4:03Speaker 3: I don't know why we're not using those because you
- 4:05Speaker 3: get any kind of flesh and that person's on the ground.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Next to next to one we got. This is one
- 4:11Speaker 2: that was sent to the station feedback. It's from Sydney.
- 4:17Speaker 8: No.
- 4:17Speaker 2: It says, are we really shaming people about shopping carts?
- 4:22Speaker 5: That's been a few years. Reply requested, yes, absolutely.
- 4:27Speaker 2: I used to be a listener of the radio station,
- 4:29Speaker 2: but I switched jobs, so my schedule has changed. But
- 4:31Speaker 2: I was on a special project and was back to
- 4:34Speaker 2: my old time. Tuned in for the first time in forever,
- 4:36Speaker 2: and safe to say, I haven't.
- 4:38Speaker 5: Been missing anything.
- 4:41Speaker 2: I tuned in and for two days in a row
- 4:43Speaker 2: to hear shopping cart narking. It was all five days. Yeah,
- 4:47Speaker 2: nark Week. The show called it. Yeah, here we go.
- 4:50Speaker 2: The show called it nark Week, and you could tell
- 4:52Speaker 2: that they think the name is real clever.
- 4:54Speaker 5: Yeah, it's pretty good.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Pretty The host of this Ancient Sebastian, only does this
- 4:59Speaker 2: to get people angry.
- 5:00Speaker 5: It's pure rage bait, that's it.
- 5:02Speaker 2: There's no real goal, no actual win at the end.
- 5:04Speaker 2: He just films people picks fights over shopping cards, and
- 5:07Speaker 2: then the show milks the outrage for content. There's nothing
- 5:11Speaker 2: productive or insightful about it, that it's any of your business.
- 5:15Speaker 2: But I do put my card back. But you know what,
- 5:17Speaker 2: I don't do judge someone else for not doing it.
- 5:20Speaker 6: Why?
- 5:21Speaker 2: Because I'm not God. But Agent Sebastian certainly thinks he is.
- 5:25Speaker 5: Of the cards. Yes, talk about a red flag.
- 5:28Speaker 2: It's controlling, an obsessive, and his level of need to
- 5:30Speaker 2: police and dominate other people's tiny actions is just unsettling.
- 5:34Speaker 5: Why do you care? Why are you obsessed?
- 5:37Speaker 2: Cancel this radio skit and stop airing it immediately, or
- 5:40Speaker 2: I'll be forced to start a very public campaign that
- 5:43Speaker 2: will cost you every listener and advertiser you have. It's low,
- 5:49Speaker 2: it's lazy, and it's not funny and anyone who says
- 5:52Speaker 2: otherwise is a low life scum bag.
- 5:54Speaker 5: That is from Sydney.
- 5:58Speaker 2: Dang it another one, Sorry Sydney's man.
- 6:07Speaker 3: I add that to my slang words. I hate rage Bay,
- 6:10Speaker 3: which has popped up Filay. They been doing cart narks
- 6:13Speaker 3: for almost ten years. That's popped up the past two
- 6:14Speaker 3: three years. It is the only thing people can say
- 6:16Speaker 3: because they don't get the deeper meeting, the nuance, the
- 6:19Speaker 3: societal benefits.
- 6:20Speaker 2: The losers, the life changing good Yeah, exactly, all right,
- 6:24Speaker 2: WOODI Show Crossroads.
- 6:27Speaker 5: This one was sent to The Woody Show email email
- 6:30Speaker 5: at woodieshow dot com.
- 6:30Speaker 2: It's from Marco. Marco subject hating on pit bulls. I
- 6:37Speaker 2: work with a pit bull rescue my pen name. I
- 6:42Speaker 2: don't think so, Greg. Wait till you hear it. Oh.
- 6:45Speaker 2: I'm fighting every single day to find them homes. Fighting.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Despite being only around six percent of the overall US
- 6:52Speaker 2: dog population, pits make up a wildly disproportionate percentage of
- 6:56Speaker 2: shelter populations, often twenty to twenty five percent of intake,
- 7:00Speaker 2: and in some data closer to half of the dogs
- 7:03Speaker 2: waiting for homes.
- 7:04Speaker 3: I wonder why people can handle them.
- 7:06Speaker 2: These are not monsters. They are dogs that need homes, training,
- 7:10Speaker 2: and people willing to actually show up for them. That's
- 7:12Speaker 2: a lot of those. So when I hear Sea Bass
- 7:14Speaker 2: constantly making fun of pit bulls, it doesn't just annoy me,
- 7:17Speaker 2: it makes my blood boil like a pit bull. But
- 7:20Speaker 2: I know that Sea Bass is just a garbage human
- 7:23Speaker 2: being in general.
- 7:24Speaker 3: Well what's your evidence, however, Oh, it doesn't have.
- 7:27Speaker 2: Any who has really started to truly disgust me is
- 7:30Speaker 2: Greg Gory. He talks a big game about caring for
- 7:35Speaker 2: pit bulls, He gets loud, he gets angry, and then nothing.
- 7:39Speaker 2: It's pure theater.
- 7:40Speaker 3: Yeah, it's history onics.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Some would say, if Greg truly cared about these dogs
- 7:43Speaker 2: the way he claims, he would come do the real
- 7:45Speaker 2: work and a rescue, not performative radio rants, actual kennel cleaning,
- 7:52Speaker 2: vet runs, temperament testing, adoption counseling, the emotional weight of
- 7:55Speaker 2: watching dogs wait months, sometimes years for a chance him
- 7:59Speaker 2: do better.
- 7:59Speaker 5: Greg, I'm too lazy though. That is from Marco. Yeah, yeah,
- 8:08Speaker 5: you talk a big game, very profunditive. We lost it.
- 8:13Speaker 5: I just love that.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Yeah, man, is his deeds not his words, That's right.
- 8:18Speaker 5: That's the other one. Uh Yeah, He's right.
- 8:21Speaker 3: Pipples are a tiny percentage of the population, and they
- 8:23Speaker 3: are the vast majority of the deaths of human beings
- 8:27Speaker 3: and maulings too. Didn't forget don't forget lifetime disfigurement that
- 8:30Speaker 3: they do.
- 8:31Speaker 2: All right here one more Woody Show Crossroads. This is
- 8:34Speaker 2: one sent to the radio station feedback from Paulina m
- 8:38Speaker 2: subject to whom this should concern that the grammar replied
- 8:43Speaker 2: request that they always ask when he said one to
- 8:44Speaker 2: the station, Yes, says I am writing about The Woody
- 8:48Speaker 2: Show's recent segment in which someone was led to believe
- 8:52Speaker 2: they were being offered an opportunity to send flowers to
- 8:54Speaker 2: a special person, only to have their answer used as
- 8:57Speaker 2: a trap to expose an alleged affair. I think you
- 9:00Speaker 2: have the wrong show.
- 9:02Speaker 3: Those are menaces, Roses.
- 9:07Speaker 2: We're getting hate for stuff we don't even do. That
- 9:11Speaker 2: wrong show Paulina Roses podcast. I found it absolutely appalling.
- 9:17Speaker 2: We'll hear what she has to say, whatever you want.
- 9:19Speaker 5: To call it. It relies on deception.
- 9:21Speaker 2: You create a false premise, encourage someone to disclose private
- 9:24Speaker 2: information they would otherwise not disclose, and then turn their
- 9:27Speaker 2: humiliation into quote entertainment and can anyone say entrapment, and
- 9:31Speaker 2: then we.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Get their permission to put broadcast them on the radio.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Somehow, there's something so remarkably self righteous about reducing another
- 9:38Speaker 2: person's relationship to a few minutes of gotcha radio. You
- 9:42Speaker 2: have no meaningful understanding of what is happening inside that relationship. Also,
- 9:47Speaker 2: how do you know the quote victim isn't the problem
- 9:50Speaker 2: in the relationship. There are a lot of evil women,
- 9:53Speaker 2: and some of them deserve to have their man step
- 9:55Speaker 2: out on them. And I say this as a woman myself.
- 9:59Speaker 9: That's say you've been preaching that for ten years. Cheating
- 10:02Speaker 9: should be allowed and encourage. Yeah, even so, these are
- 10:06Speaker 9: human beings. We are imperfect and make mistakes. But that
- 10:10Speaker 9: doesn't give radio DJ sitting behind a.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Microphone license to exploit these mistakes for laughs, outrage, or ratings.
- 10:16Speaker 5: Or as managers.
- 10:18Speaker 2: I would hope that you would expect better from the
- 10:20Speaker 2: Woody Show and to train them to understand the difference
- 10:23Speaker 2: between provocative entertainment and exploiting people's private lives. Again, for
- 10:28Speaker 2: a bit that's not even oursis we don't even do
- 10:33Speaker 2: well forward this, We'll send it down the hall to
- 10:36Speaker 2: the other show.
- 10:37Speaker 5: And yeah, guys, we lost Paul.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Yeah, it's been a while since we've gotten to complain
- 10:46Speaker 2: about something and not even ours as.
- 10:50Speaker 10: Well.
- 10:52Speaker 5: That's the what show Crossroads? You guys, I would.
- 10:55Speaker 3: Asks playing that talking out a victim to this seek
- 10:58Speaker 3: outs who these people are?
- 10:59Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, you know what. I'm sure they would appreciate
- 11:03Speaker 2: your support, right, Yeah, they'll talk to you.
- 11:04Speaker 3: Maybe a pass action lawsuit we're.
- 11:05Speaker 2: Gonna take kayo.
- 11:08Speaker 8: What?
- 11:11Speaker 5: All right, so it's back to school time.
- 11:14Speaker 2: You'll like this. Greg a teacher in Houston introduce something
- 11:18Speaker 2: new to her students.
- 11:20Speaker 5: It's called the park corner. All right. So if you're
- 11:24Speaker 5: feeling bruin, yeah, you go over there.
- 11:27Speaker 2: Yeah, so you know that you don't have to be
- 11:29Speaker 2: all weird about it, right, Yeah, you just go over
- 11:31Speaker 2: there as you is.
- 11:32Speaker 1: This is our.
- 11:35Speaker 8: This is our park corner. If you need too far,
- 11:38Speaker 8: simply come over here. Fart, take about ten seconds, get
- 11:42Speaker 8: your little spray going on, go sit out. Nobody's paying attention,
- 11:46Speaker 8: nobody cares, nobody was worried about it.
- 11:50Speaker 5: That's cool.
- 11:53Speaker 1: Yeah, the corner.
- 11:56Speaker 5: If you're loud about it.
- 11:58Speaker 10: No, if you get up and go over there like
- 12:00Speaker 10: everyone and I would be in that corner all.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Day you're a farter. Yes, how many times do you go
- 12:08Speaker 1: to the far corner today?
- 12:11Speaker 2: I'm gonna ask menace, Menace, what is what is that? Uh?
- 12:16Speaker 1: That is a swatchtkawa?
- 12:21Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 12:21Speaker 2: How would you say, Greg?
- 12:23Speaker 5: I would say that's a swastika. That's a swastika. Yeah.
- 12:27Speaker 2: Now here's the here's the here's tag, here's the full picture.
- 12:31Speaker 5: Okay, some sort of tag, all right?
- 12:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:33Speaker 2: Now, somebody on this show was getting a little static
- 12:38Speaker 2: about this yesterday because this is there is that like
- 12:41Speaker 2: a luggage tag?
- 12:42Speaker 5: I don't know what? Yeah? What what is that? Morgan?
- 12:44Speaker 10: It's something I got in Japan from a shrine. It's
- 12:48Speaker 10: like a good luck thing.
- 12:49Speaker 2: It has an official name with a swatchtka on it.
- 12:52Speaker 11: Those are everywhere out there.
- 12:54Speaker 5: Yeah, because it's it's a different meaning.
- 12:57Speaker 3: It's an easy geometric shape for many cultures to make
- 13:00Speaker 3: over the years.
- 13:01Speaker 2: Right.
- 13:01Speaker 10: But this lady was standing behind me in the story
- 13:04Speaker 10: yesterday and she was like, is that a swashtick on
- 13:06Speaker 10: your purse?
- 13:07Speaker 3: I was like, no, that's called a mangy yes.
- 13:12Speaker 10: So my question is should I be carrying this around
- 13:16Speaker 10: like does it know? For a stranger standing in line
- 13:19Speaker 10: behind me at the grocery store to say something.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Unless you want to explain it every single time.
- 13:22Speaker 11: Which I don't.
- 13:23Speaker 6: Yeah, I had already noticed that, and I picked it
- 13:25Speaker 6: up and looked at it, and she wants it's very questionable.
- 13:28Speaker 5: But she wants one that's an actual swaster. But I
- 13:31Speaker 5: knew it was.
- 13:32Speaker 6: From Japans, so I knew it meant something different.
- 13:34Speaker 11: But you shouldn't have that on that. It means wishes
- 13:37Speaker 11: come true, Thank you very much.
- 13:39Speaker 3: If you explain that every day to everybody and only
- 13:42Speaker 3: the people who ask, the rest of the people just
- 13:43Speaker 3: ignore you, you'll lose opportunity and they just assume.
- 13:45Speaker 2: It's like when people want to like carve it up
- 13:47Speaker 2: about the Confederate flag.
- 13:50Speaker 5: You know, can you just tuck that thing into your person?
- 13:52Speaker 11: I mean I can just take it off and not
- 13:54Speaker 11: carry it around.
- 13:55Speaker 10: But then I have another one that's for victory and
- 13:57Speaker 10: perseverance that's on my gym bag, and it's got a
- 14:00Speaker 10: fake swasting.
- 14:02Speaker 5: Is there something inside that has the stuff on it
- 14:05Speaker 5: or just as.
- 14:05Speaker 10: A symbol that means that there's something inside, but you're
- 14:07Speaker 10: not supposed to open it because then the powers go.
- 14:13Speaker 11: Very historical.
- 14:14Speaker 2: You know, it's Jewish teeth.
- 14:15Speaker 5: We get it.
- 14:15Speaker 1: That's disgusting.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Yeah, American History says the text.
- 14:21Speaker 3: The better question is, oh yeah, we all get it.
- 14:24Speaker 3: It means something in different cultures, the gifts. Why But okay,
- 14:27Speaker 3: so it was a gift and you couldn't throw it away,
- 14:28Speaker 3: but it's.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Pretty well advertised about what everybody really thinks that is,
- 14:32Speaker 2: you know.
- 14:32Speaker 5: Even if it's slightly reversed or whatever.
- 14:35Speaker 2: They're probably like, haha, we can get American to buy this.
- 14:38Speaker 11: They're on all of the buildings.
- 14:40Speaker 5: American races from the history.
- 14:42Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, we'll put it on all our buildings so
- 14:44Speaker 3: they all have a good backstory buildings from.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Like, yeah, is there another place you know, and we'll
- 14:52Speaker 2: leave it.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Yeah, Like you get the gift and then you.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Keep it with all your other jew hating stuff is
- 14:59Speaker 2: really yeah, I do have a class. When uh was
- 15:03Speaker 2: it Tom? Did Tom Segurra get Bert or did Bert
- 15:06Speaker 2: get Tom? I think it was Tom got Bert Hitler's
- 15:10Speaker 2: tea cup because they were like into this whole thing
- 15:13Speaker 2: about like finding old gifts, Yeah, like the worst gifts.
- 15:17Speaker 2: And Tom found a tea cup that I guess used
- 15:21Speaker 2: to belong to Hitler and he gave it to Bert
- 15:26Speaker 2: for like his birthday, dude, and like the reaction is
- 15:30Speaker 2: hilarious because Bert's trying to figure out, like, well, what
- 15:33Speaker 2: is this and then he's there, go ahead and drink
- 15:35Speaker 2: from it first, like ahead, and then he figured out
- 15:43Speaker 2: what it was. And yeah, So if you want to
- 15:49Speaker 2: like again have that conversation, I guess just keep keep
- 15:52Speaker 2: it on your back.
- 15:53Speaker 10: Good, I'll take it off today you want to see No, yes,
- 15:58Speaker 10: which is keep it off here?
- 16:00Speaker 7: No more than what if you put all of them
- 16:04Speaker 7: on your purse, all the different ones that you haven't
- 16:05Speaker 7: go to, like the Museum of Tolerance.
- 16:07Speaker 10: Well, good, idea, I have three of them, but it's
- 16:10Speaker 10: bad luck to have more than one on your bag.
- 16:12Speaker 2: So she's been on one trip and now she's an expert,
- 16:16Speaker 2: she's the entire culture something.
- 16:18Speaker 11: When I'm there, well, so what is this one that
- 16:20Speaker 11: you have in your back right now?
- 16:21Speaker 3: Mean?
- 16:21Speaker 11: Which has come true? Okay? And I have one for
- 16:24Speaker 11: victory and perseverance.
- 16:26Speaker 1: She learned all this stuff but not learned Hey, maybe
- 16:28Speaker 1: I shouldn't have this out in public when I'm outside
- 16:31Speaker 1: of Japan.
- 16:31Speaker 5: Yeah. They did it come with like a little warning tag.
- 16:34Speaker 11: No, of course not.
- 16:35Speaker 10: I was warned by the people I was with there like, oh,
- 16:38Speaker 10: you're going to see these a lot.
- 16:39Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean I know what it means.
- 16:42Speaker 11: You guys know, I'm not a what do you call it?
- 16:44Speaker 11: A jew hater? There's a name for it.
- 16:46Speaker 5: What is it?
- 16:46Speaker 3: That's it?
- 16:47Speaker 2: You got hold on, let's see if you can come
- 16:50Speaker 2: up with it, the.
- 16:54Speaker 11: Anti semitic.
- 16:58Speaker 10: Yeah, thanks guys, yep, all right, well I'll take it
- 17:02Speaker 10: off my bag.
- 17:02Speaker 2: You wanted to know. I wanted it to open up
- 17:04Speaker 2: in the room and see what everybody thought. Yeah, she's like,
- 17:07Speaker 2: is this racist? Does this make me a racist? I mean,
- 17:10Speaker 2: not for the reason that you bought it. You bought
- 17:12Speaker 2: it because they told you it meant what it meant happiness.
- 17:16Speaker 2: You said, true, which wish has come true?
- 17:20Speaker 5: Don't open it.
- 17:20Speaker 3: And by the way, it's a symbol that meant nothing
- 17:23Speaker 3: or it was just like an ancient blah blah blah
- 17:24Speaker 3: across many cultures until for about ten years a group
- 17:27Speaker 3: of people ruined it, and now no one can have
- 17:29Speaker 3: it for probably another couple hundred years.
- 17:31Speaker 1: Are you talking about the rainbow flag?
- 17:32Speaker 2: Yes, that was hijacked. The Yeah, the Swatschtka was hijacked.
- 17:40Speaker 2: They were having a perfectly good time with it, and
- 17:43Speaker 2: then the Nazis had to co op it. Yeah, the
- 17:45Speaker 2: rainbow was perfectly fine.
- 17:47Speaker 5: Yeah, it was cool to see, but it's the perfect
- 17:49Speaker 5: flag for the Yeah, for the gay community, Oh absolutely,
- 17:52Speaker 5: because what straight man wants the rainbow? That's true. And
- 17:56Speaker 5: I think Robin Williams co opted at first with his suspenders.
- 17:59Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, that old timey TV show which was
- 18:03Speaker 2: called Sammy.
- 18:04Speaker 5: Mork and Mindy.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Wow.
- 18:06Speaker 5: I didn't know that. But you don't know any n Excess.
- 18:08Speaker 11: Song because I just my knowledge goes further back.
- 18:12Speaker 6: I like there's a middle ground of like eighty like
- 18:14Speaker 6: my pop culture stuff, Like there's a weird middle ground
- 18:17Speaker 6: of like eighties and nineties of certain things that I
- 18:20Speaker 6: just don't know.
- 18:20Speaker 11: But I can go further back than that.
- 18:22Speaker 1: And your ears developed like later in life or something.
- 18:25Speaker 11: No, I don't know, it's just what I was exposed to.
- 18:26Speaker 11: I guess.
- 18:27Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't know. But you missed all of an Excess,
- 18:30Speaker 5: not even like one song. She missed all of it.
- 18:32Speaker 11: Yeah, I don't know.
- 18:33Speaker 2: We were playing like little clips of n Excess songs
- 18:36Speaker 2: and didn't.
- 18:36Speaker 5: Know one of them, she said. I was born then,
- 18:39Speaker 5: but still okay, No, I don't know the age old argument,
- 18:42Speaker 5: you know, Mork and Mindy. Yeah, but the problem.
- 18:45Speaker 6: Yeah, I really liked like TV Land and Nick at
- 18:48Speaker 6: Night and obviously that had stemmed from Happy Days and
- 18:51Speaker 6: I know all that stuff.
- 18:52Speaker 11: I don't know why.
- 18:53Speaker 2: Eight seven seven forty four, Woodie. You can send it's
- 18:56Speaker 2: a text if you like. Check in over to two
- 18:58Speaker 2: two ninety seven quick break more show is next hanging.
- 19:02Speaker 5: I found myself recently telling myself in my head, God,
- 19:07Speaker 5: you're really happy, Like I'm just really happy. So I'm
- 19:11Speaker 5: stoked that I'm happy. I'm stoked of how my life
- 19:15Speaker 5: is going. So yeah, overall, for sure, there's elements in
- 19:19Speaker 5: my life are completely shame. But the Woody Show, well.
- 19:28Speaker 2: It's another new hour as we make our way through
- 19:32Speaker 2: the day. Here for you and thank you for being
- 19:34Speaker 2: here with us. It is the Woody Show, Woody great height.
- 19:40Speaker 2: No Gina grad this morning. She's at her juneral. Her
- 19:45Speaker 2: yet her uncle died and so you know, Jews, they
- 19:48Speaker 2: got to be in the ground a pretty short turnaround.
- 19:51Speaker 5: I would love to know the logistics of that.
- 19:54Speaker 2: So she hopped a plane to go be with her
- 19:57Speaker 2: family and she'll be back Monday. Yeah, yeah, all right, Yeah,
- 20:03Speaker 2: she'll be back on Monday. But yeah, last last been
- 20:07Speaker 2: a flight nine and then her mom, like I guess,
- 20:12Speaker 2: stepped in. She had some unused Southwest credits, but that
- 20:15Speaker 2: meant that she had to connect.
- 20:17Speaker 5: Yeah each direction.
- 20:19Speaker 2: Yeah nah no, yeah, but uh yeah, so Gina's not
- 20:26Speaker 2: here today and she's with her family. Today's jeff G's birthday.
- 20:33Speaker 2: You know if that means Gina's out more cake for us?
- 20:35Speaker 10: Yes?
- 20:35Speaker 1: Yes, a lot of tram over the cake this morning.
- 20:37Speaker 5: What do you mean?
- 20:38Speaker 1: So I usually go get the cakes, and the store
- 20:41Speaker 1: that I get them from they're doing inventory this week
- 20:45Speaker 1: and they were closed overnight, so i'll.
- 20:47Speaker 5: Really go pick up the cakes.
- 20:49Speaker 1: So I had to hit up Vonda grab some stuff.
- 20:51Speaker 5: Oh so thank you.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Yeah, so thanks for handling.
- 20:55Speaker 2: I don'tise they closed the store down to do stuff
- 20:57Speaker 2: like that.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know if they have all the signs
- 21:00Speaker 1: are said. They said we're not going to be open
- 21:02Speaker 1: until later this morning. But when they gave the dates,
- 21:05Speaker 1: what did von come back with us?
- 21:06Speaker 8: Here?
- 21:06Speaker 5: There's some cupcakes there, got a better you got a
- 21:08Speaker 5: better view of it than I do.
- 21:10Speaker 7: Yeah, it's some cupcakes and vanilla and chocolate and then
- 21:13Speaker 7: a little chocolate cake.
- 21:14Speaker 1: Perfect is the world's smallest cake and some cupcakes. I
- 21:18Speaker 1: usually come with like three cakes, Jeff.
- 21:20Speaker 5: So that's all right, This is dude, this is perfect. Yeah.
- 21:23Speaker 2: I don't get How are you with your birthday?
- 21:24Speaker 5: Are you?
- 21:25Speaker 2: Are you more like me where it's like I don't
- 21:27Speaker 2: I don't want parties, I don't want anything like that,
- 21:29Speaker 2: or you more like Menace where it's a whole birthday month.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Yeah, you got to celebrate definitely, not like Menace.
- 21:33Speaker 5: Yeah, more chill, just like yeah, you know it is
- 21:35Speaker 5: what it is.
- 21:36Speaker 2: Yeah, today, And are you weird about your age? How
- 21:38Speaker 2: old are you?
- 21:39Speaker 8: No?
- 21:39Speaker 5: Fifty four? Fifty four? No, not weird? Did it happen then?
- 21:42Speaker 6: No?
- 21:42Speaker 5: I don't care.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Yeah right, it's like who cares?
- 21:45Speaker 5: Whatever? I mean, what can you just do? Just the number?
- 21:47Speaker 8: Right?
- 21:47Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 21:47Speaker 5: How are you with cards? Because last night I was
- 21:50Speaker 5: thinking I should probably get Jeff of card, and then
- 21:52Speaker 5: I thought maybe I was projecting onto you that you
- 21:55Speaker 5: would be like.
- 21:57Speaker 3: So, I.
- 22:00Speaker 2: It's a card from Greg.
- 22:03Speaker 7: Cards are appreciated and it doesn't make you any more
- 22:05Speaker 7: gay to give.
- 22:05Speaker 11: Me a next time.
- 22:10Speaker 5: Once the ball crosses the plane.
- 22:12Speaker 12: Day. You don't want you to think that you're gig right,
- 22:15Speaker 12: I know, no cards are Finally, I let wifey just
- 22:20Speaker 12: do all her stuff. Like this morning I got up
- 22:22Speaker 12: and there was like a little happy birthday sign and stuff.
- 22:25Speaker 5: Is really sweet. I let her do her thing.
- 22:26Speaker 7: But I'm like, you would you like, I don't need
- 22:29Speaker 7: a ton of attention, Like.
- 22:30Speaker 2: Yeah, so what will your wife do for your birthday?
- 22:33Speaker 5: I have no idea. I have no idea. Probably I'm
- 22:36Speaker 5: sure there will be a.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Cake or something typically like what happens.
- 22:39Speaker 5: Cake usually dinner or something like that.
- 22:41Speaker 7: But I told her today I just want to make
- 22:42Speaker 7: something like I'm gonna barbecue when I get home.
- 22:44Speaker 5: Oh, you're gonna make okay? Sweet?
- 22:46Speaker 3: All right?
- 22:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm sure she's fine with that. It's like Father's
- 22:50Speaker 2: Day they had the dad.
- 22:51Speaker 5: Yes, so unfair?
- 22:52Speaker 2: Ye, well, I mean, uh yeah, I guess, yeah, I
- 22:57Speaker 2: guess that makes sense.
- 22:58Speaker 5: That's what you want.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Yeah, you got to give the person whose birthday is
- 23:03Speaker 2: what they want. And if they don't want a big
- 23:05Speaker 2: deal about it, don't make a big deal about it.
- 23:08Speaker 2: If they want a big deal about it, give him
- 23:10Speaker 2: his birthday.
- 23:11Speaker 5: Believe that's the problem there is. It could be a
- 23:15Speaker 5: mind game.
- 23:16Speaker 2: Yeah, it could be a trick. Yeah, and I think
- 23:17Speaker 2: you guys make more about it than it is. It's
- 23:19Speaker 2: not like you can't say, like, oh, don't you dare
- 23:21Speaker 2: say happy birthday to me. It's just I don't want
- 23:23Speaker 2: the party. I don't no surprises.
- 23:25Speaker 5: I don't need stuff like that. No cards, No, I don't.
- 23:29Speaker 2: I don't need the gifts or cakes or anything like
- 23:32Speaker 2: that that come with birthdays.
- 23:33Speaker 5: That's the trick. Really want see that.
- 23:35Speaker 2: No, the birthday present makes me super uncomfortable, unnecessary. Christmas
- 23:40Speaker 2: is a little bit different because there's multiple people getting gifts.
- 23:43Speaker 5: Right, right, but there's a life with no kids Christmas,
- 23:47Speaker 5: no more presents ever. I agree, bring this up every
- 23:50Speaker 5: single year. I agree. Presence bold italic underline. And then
- 23:55Speaker 5: what happens.
- 23:55Speaker 2: It's like Taylor Swift, Travis Kelsey, wedding man, no gifts.
- 23:59Speaker 5: And then somebody ends up getting a gift, and then
- 24:00Speaker 5: because I stuck to the rule, I don't have a
- 24:02Speaker 5: gift and Christmas yeah, yeah sucks. No gifts.
- 24:08Speaker 2: Yeah, like some people, like from my wife for example,
- 24:12Speaker 2: like you have to have a balloon, like one of
- 24:15Speaker 2: those mylar balloons that say happy Birthday. One of those
- 24:18Speaker 2: must be in the house. If there's someone in the
- 24:20Speaker 2: house with a birthday that's fine, and she feels like
- 24:23Speaker 2: she's failed. And I was like, was this the thing
- 24:25Speaker 2: she was? You never had a balloon for your birthday?
- 24:27Speaker 2: Ro I said, no, we didn't. We didn't do balloons.
- 24:30Speaker 2: We do cards and gifts and there was cake, but
- 24:33Speaker 2: there was never the balloon. But the balloon was the thing.
- 24:35Speaker 2: It wasn't you know what I mean, Like, it wasn't
- 24:38Speaker 2: a birthday unless there was the balloon.
- 24:39Speaker 11: There just one.
- 24:41Speaker 2: Yeah, at least at least I'm saying, at least a balloon.
- 24:45Speaker 2: They're not like a typical like a you know, whatever balloon,
- 24:48Speaker 2: like the big silvery Yeah.
- 24:51Speaker 7: You guys ever get in arguments over your lack of
- 24:53Speaker 7: birthday enthusiasm.
- 24:56Speaker 2: No, I mean she she likes to try to plan stuff,
- 24:59Speaker 2: and she says it's for the ki kids, like because
- 25:01Speaker 2: the kids need to show some kind of like acknowledgment
- 25:03Speaker 2: or appreciation, which I do understand that side of it too.
- 25:06Speaker 5: They have to learn.
- 25:08Speaker 2: Yeah, But then she went for my fortieth birthday, she
- 25:10Speaker 2: got a bunch of people together and orchestrated this whole thing,
- 25:13Speaker 2: and you know, it's like, oh man, yeah it was.
- 25:18Speaker 2: It was fine because it's all the people I like,
- 25:20Speaker 2: you know, it's it's fine, but I don't believe it
- 25:23Speaker 2: or not even having this job, Like, I don't enjoy
- 25:26Speaker 2: being center of attention.
- 25:27Speaker 5: I just don't get it because.
- 25:28Speaker 11: Celebration is for everyone.
- 25:30Speaker 3: We all want cake.
- 25:31Speaker 6: You denying your birthday just means I love the cake.
- 25:34Speaker 5: You can have a cake.
- 25:35Speaker 2: Okay, cake is fine. Cake's fine. No surprise party, no
- 25:39Speaker 2: big thing, no big to do.
- 25:41Speaker 5: That's all a restaurant. When they sing happy birthday.
- 25:46Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't even care about that. You don't know
- 25:48Speaker 2: because I'm not. I'm not easily embarrassed. If you haven't
- 25:51Speaker 2: figured that out, that part doesn't bother me. I mean
- 25:54Speaker 2: i'd rather not because it's kind of dumb.
- 25:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:57Speaker 1: Like, I don't feel embarrassed by it, but I feel
- 25:59Speaker 1: bad for the employees that have.
- 26:00Speaker 5: To do it. Yeah.
- 26:02Speaker 7: I've been one of those employees in the back of
- 26:05Speaker 7: the house and we got a birthday on forty seven
- 26:08Speaker 7: and doesn't want to do it.
- 26:10Speaker 5: Did they have their own song or were they singing
- 26:12Speaker 5: happy birthday?
- 26:13Speaker 7: It was like that happy happy birthday, you know, twist
- 26:17Speaker 7: on that well happy birthday.
- 26:19Speaker 5: Jeff G appreciate that.
- 26:20Speaker 7: Thank you guys very much, and thank you guys for
- 26:22Speaker 7: the cake and COCAKESE.
- 26:23Speaker 5: There you go. Can't wait.
- 26:24Speaker 2: We'll dig into those eight seven seven forty four. Woodie
