Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. At your favorite time
- 0:03Speaker 1: of week, you download the crazy sheets, you get your
- 0:05Speaker 1: podcast out, you snuggle around the fire, you jump in
- 0:08Speaker 1: your car. I don't give a damn what you're doing.
- 0:09Speaker 1: We're gonna talk about some college football. I'm Mark, I'm
- 0:12Speaker 1: here in the podcasting studio, Scottie. I can tell by
- 0:14Speaker 1: looking at your pretty face that you're at home. Brother.
- 0:16Speaker 2: How the hell are you, man? I'm great excited.
- 0:20Speaker 3: I'm hoping this season is gonna be as good as
- 0:23Speaker 3: my first prediction about a head coach. Because literally, we
- 0:27Speaker 3: record our first podcast of the day and Deshaun Foster
- 0:31Speaker 3: comes out and is a complete and utter disaster at Big.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Ten media days. What in the hell was that about?
- 0:40Speaker 1: I it was startling, It was it was startling at best.
- 0:43Speaker 1: I had had it on on a side TV in
- 0:46Speaker 1: my office, and I had listened to Lincoln Riley talk
- 0:50Speaker 1: about Mike Leach need to be in the hall, a
- 0:52Speaker 1: beat pit a little tweet out about it, and Deshaun
- 0:55Speaker 1: rolls out there. And I love that guy as a player,
- 0:57Speaker 1: and I mean when he played at UCLA. But that
- 1:00Speaker 1: was the most awkward ninety seconds of an interview I've
- 1:03Speaker 1: seen in a long.
- 1:04Speaker 2: Time, no doubt about it. It was crazy.
- 1:09Speaker 3: I mean, it was just what I didn't understand. Is
- 1:13Speaker 3: I understand being nervous. He looked completely unprepared. But candidly,
- 1:18Speaker 3: it's what I think is going to happen on Saturdays too.
- 1:21Speaker 2: I mean, I don't think he's ready for this job.
- 1:24Speaker 3: I understand UCLA got themselves stretched out over their skis.
- 1:29Speaker 3: They didn't get the success of it. Candidly, there doesn't
- 1:32Speaker 3: seem like there's a lot of day to day support
- 1:34Speaker 3: for that program from a fan standpoint. But I just
- 1:39Speaker 3: don't think he's ready for this job. And I think
- 1:41Speaker 3: yesterday was a prime example. You cannot come out to
- 1:45Speaker 3: that environment and be that unprepared. Not with a statement
- 1:50Speaker 3: not I'm just excited to be here doesn't cut it.
- 1:53Speaker 2: You have to do a better job of that.
- 1:55Speaker 3: So again, I hope our predictions throughout the season are
- 1:59Speaker 3: going to be as good as that, because I'm telling
- 2:01Speaker 3: you it's going to be a train wreck, complete and
- 2:03Speaker 3: utter train wreck.
- 2:04Speaker 1: This.
- 2:05Speaker 3: I don't know if it's gonna be Kevin steel a
- 2:07Speaker 3: Baylor bad, but it's going to be bad.
- 2:11Speaker 2: This is going to end poorly because that's a hard
- 2:14Speaker 2: job already.
- 2:15Speaker 3: It's a hard job that nobody cares about anyway, so
- 2:19Speaker 3: you know it is what it is. But boy got
- 2:21Speaker 3: started off right at Big ten Media Days. Have you
- 2:25Speaker 3: been listening to college This is a this is a
- 2:27Speaker 3: great point to college sports radio on XM. They have
- 2:32Speaker 3: been doing something great. And I started to bring this
- 2:35Speaker 3: up yesterday, but they're asking all the coaches a non
- 2:40Speaker 3: football question that they want to ask the next coach
- 2:42Speaker 3: who's coming on, And I want to talk about Sonny
- 2:46Speaker 3: Dyke's first because it was fabulous. He had Brent Brennan
- 2:49Speaker 3: coming on behind him and they had coach together, which
- 2:52Speaker 3: I did not know they knew each other. I think
- 2:54Speaker 3: they were on somebody's staff together, or maybe he was.
- 2:57Speaker 3: I think Dykes actually was on a staff when Brennan
- 2:59Speaker 3: was playing, But anyway, by some reason they knew each
- 3:03Speaker 3: other and they ask him what he wanted to do.
- 3:04Speaker 2: He so, well, I want to know if he's going
- 3:05Speaker 2: to come over to.
- 3:06Speaker 3: The house on Friday night for barbecue and cocktails. And
- 3:10Speaker 3: he was like, I mean, I grew up my whole
- 3:12Speaker 3: life going home. I'd get through playing my high school
- 3:15Speaker 3: games and I'd roll in and there'd be Jackie Sheryl
- 3:18Speaker 3: or Arci Slocomb or Grant Taff for you know, and
- 3:21Speaker 3: he starts.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Naming all this.
- 3:22Speaker 3: Dow used to come to the US to come to
- 3:24Speaker 3: Spike Dykes's house on Friday night before They're going to
- 3:27Speaker 3: play on Saturday, and they'd be drinking whiskey and hanging out.
- 3:30Speaker 3: Best story ever, I think that ought to be required
- 3:34Speaker 3: of coaches the night before games. And we need a
- 3:37Speaker 3: Netflix documentary about it. Can you imagine how awesome that
- 3:41Speaker 3: would be?
- 3:42Speaker 1: It would be good, It would be good. These stories
- 3:45Speaker 1: are true, and the only reason I know this is
- 3:47Speaker 1: my brother in law's dad. It's gonna sound like a
- 3:50Speaker 1: cousin's of a cousin story with Spike Knykes's best friend.
- 3:53Speaker 1: They lived next door to each other until he passed
- 3:55Speaker 1: away in Horseshoe Bay, and I had the privilege to
- 3:58Speaker 1: get to play golf with Spike a cup of times.
- 4:01Speaker 1: And he was the prototypical old school football coach where
- 4:06Speaker 1: he had analogies and color commentary on things and shit
- 4:09Speaker 1: that you had never heard people use to describe things before.
- 4:13Speaker 1: And it was just phenomenal the way he would blow
- 4:16Speaker 1: these out and he would tell these stories about how
- 4:18Speaker 1: when they would come to town to play, the coaches would
- 4:21Speaker 1: typically get together. You know, they were friendly and they
- 4:24Speaker 1: would get together, and he had a few that he
- 4:26Speaker 1: didn't like. But those are absolutely true stories that went
- 4:28Speaker 1: on back in the day of college football in the
- 4:31Speaker 1: eighties and nineties.
- 4:32Speaker 3: And what I love about Dyke's coaching in the Southwest
- 4:36Speaker 3: Conference in the eighties, nothing is cheating like cheating was
- 4:42Speaker 3: going on then back then. I mean you had Jackie,
- 4:45Speaker 3: you had Smu, you had I mean Arkansas's chief, Texas
- 4:49Speaker 3: was cheating. Everybody was just going at it, and they
- 4:52Speaker 3: Eddie's friends.
- 4:53Speaker 2: With all these guys, it was a fabulous lead in.
- 4:56Speaker 3: And I just thought, oh, can you imagine if we
- 4:59Speaker 3: would have had one of those with Nick Saban and
- 5:03Speaker 3: a variety of coaches that it could but less Miles's
- 5:06Speaker 3: who came to mind. Can you imagine the awkwardness of
- 5:09Speaker 3: one of those being taped him him at him, at
- 5:12Speaker 3: him at less Miles's house, having to have a cocktail
- 5:15Speaker 3: with less Less talking about some off the wall stuff.
- 5:20Speaker 3: I mean, it would have been pure comedy. I mean
- 5:22Speaker 3: just I just think about some of those conversations and
- 5:25Speaker 3: how much fun they would be to listen to and
- 5:27Speaker 3: what they had to say. You know, oh yeah, of
- 5:31Speaker 3: what of what they had to say? So anyway, great, great,
- 5:35Speaker 3: totally agree with you.
- 5:36Speaker 1: So they were going to talk about the Big Tens, Goutie.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Big Ten's interesting. Uh. The Big Ten to me has
- 5:41Speaker 1: transformed itself into the second biggest conference in the country.
- 5:46Speaker 1: And when I say transformed itself, I'm only going to
- 5:48Speaker 1: step back to COVID because you've got to remember during COVID,
- 5:52Speaker 1: they nearly didn't play football, right. They were literally gonna
- 5:55Speaker 1: throw the tile in and go, we're not doing this
- 5:58Speaker 1: until Sanky and the said we're gonna play football. And
- 6:02Speaker 1: the dipshit that was running the Big Ten at the
- 6:04Speaker 1: time said, I guess I should pay attention since my
- 6:06Speaker 1: kids on the roster at Mississippi State that I'm gonna
- 6:09Speaker 1: let him play, but we're not gonna let all our
- 6:11Speaker 1: schools play. So he's gone. Big Ten's got some leadership.
- 6:15Speaker 1: They have married themselves to the SEC. These two are
- 6:17Speaker 1: the conferences that are obviously going to be driving the
- 6:20Speaker 1: train over where college football goes in the next couple
- 6:23Speaker 1: of years. Uh. And this year you've got an interesting mix.
- 6:26Speaker 1: You bring in the four biggest brands from the Pac twelve.
- 6:31Speaker 1: I hope that we're gonna get some Big ten after dark.
- 6:34Speaker 1: I've looked at some schedules, but no times have been
- 6:36Speaker 1: released on these things. And yeah, you bring in USC, UCLA, Washington,
- 6:42Speaker 1: and Oregon into this mix. And not only that, you've
- 6:45Speaker 1: already got you know, Ohio State, Michigan, the defending Natty Champ,
- 6:49Speaker 1: and a Penn State team that is the most irrelevant
- 6:52Speaker 1: nine win team of the last ten years in this conference.
- 6:56Speaker 1: And then you've got a lot of middling teams that
- 6:58Speaker 1: are in there. And so the Big is interesting to me.
- 7:01Speaker 1: I think there's some value in the Big ten. I'm
- 7:05Speaker 1: very intrigued with the travel and how that's gonna work,
- 7:08Speaker 1: because there are some long travel flights. I mean, trying
- 7:11Speaker 1: to get from fucking you know, the West Coast to Piscataway.
- 7:15Speaker 1: That's a long trip, bro. And it's like, you know,
- 7:18Speaker 1: and these are college kids. These aren't pros that are
- 7:20Speaker 1: going out you know, that are programmed into this. So
- 7:23Speaker 1: I'm fascinated to see how the Big ten's gonna work.
- 7:26Speaker 2: Well, I mentioned this and we'll talk to about when
- 7:29Speaker 2: we get to them, but there's a key stretch in here.
- 7:31Speaker 2: For the Oregon Ducks.
- 7:32Speaker 3: Who I think, probably on paper and at Dylan Gabriel
- 7:36Speaker 3: State's healthy, maybe the second best team in this league.
- 7:40Speaker 2: And yet they've.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Got a stretch where three out of five weeks they
- 7:47Speaker 3: go East at Purdue, home to Illinois, at Michigan, home
- 7:51Speaker 3: to Maryland, at Wisconsin. So that Wisconsin game could be
- 7:56Speaker 3: a total disaster for those guys.
- 7:58Speaker 2: I mean, you're talking tired.
- 8:00Speaker 3: They're gonna have played Oh heck, what is that eight
- 8:02Speaker 3: weeks in a row leading into that They're gonna be tired.
- 8:06Speaker 3: That's three long trips. You talk about a gambling game, buddy.
- 8:10Speaker 3: I have got a note about November sixteenth in my
- 8:12Speaker 3: calendar for when we start calling games and looking at
- 8:15Speaker 3: lines and really studying those teams. There's no way that's
- 8:18Speaker 3: not going to affect it. Those are some big, big numbers.
- 8:21Speaker 3: So I'll get into one other thing. When we're looking
- 8:24Speaker 3: at the big at the Big ten, the exact opposite
- 8:28Speaker 3: in most cases of what I think the SEC did,
- 8:32Speaker 3: where they really put some tough roads out there for
- 8:35Speaker 3: some marquee teams. You've got some teams that have cupcake schedules,
- 8:40Speaker 3: I mean complete cupcakes. Rutgers, let me tell you something.
- 8:44Speaker 3: We're gonna talk about it when.
- 8:45Speaker 2: We get to them.
- 8:46Speaker 3: But holy smokes, did those guys get a gift for
- 8:49Speaker 3: what has got a chance to be a decent team.
- 8:52Speaker 3: So anyway, well, I don't want to call off too much,
- 8:54Speaker 3: but excited about the Big Ten. Look, you know, I've
- 8:56Speaker 3: always loved this team. I always felt like this was
- 8:58Speaker 3: the second best league, thought it was the I've always
- 9:01Speaker 3: felt like it was the SEC with just different accents.
- 9:04Speaker 3: I think they play physical football and get after it.
- 9:06Speaker 3: There's a lot of good teams. You mix up those
- 9:08Speaker 3: teams and these teams into a jar and they're probably
- 9:12Speaker 3: all going to go five and five.
- 9:13Speaker 2: Against each other.
- 9:13Speaker 3: When you take top to bottom, best teams against worst teams,
- 9:18Speaker 3: the conferences are very very equal. I think the Big
- 9:21Speaker 3: Ten adding a couple of the teams they have is
- 9:25Speaker 3: going to help really put some top end teams because
- 9:27Speaker 3: when you mix in Oklahoma and Texas and the SEC,
- 9:30Speaker 3: they would have separated without.
- 9:31Speaker 2: A change from the top end.
- 9:33Speaker 3: But these two leagues are head and shoulders with everybody else.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Although I like.
- 9:37Speaker 3: A lot of what the Big Big Twill's doing too,
- 9:40Speaker 3: So we'll talk about that when we get to them.
- 9:42Speaker 2: So here we go, big ten baby, let's.
- 9:44Speaker 1: Get it rolling. We'll do it just like we did
- 9:46Speaker 1: the SEC. We'll start an autabetical order. We may not
- 9:48Speaker 1: hit every team if you want to bag on a
- 9:50Speaker 1: sorry about that. Hey, give us some reviews on the podcast.
- 9:53Speaker 1: It helps, Apple reviews, Google Reviews, put some notes in there,
- 9:56Speaker 1: hit us up on Twitter, share it with friends. All
- 9:59Speaker 1: that stuffs helps with algorithm. We're only doing this to
- 10:01Speaker 1: have a good time, hopefully, pass on some knowledge and
- 10:03Speaker 1: get you ready for some college football. First team's got it,
- 10:06Speaker 1: The Illinois Fighting a LIONI. Bert Bilima enters season four
- 10:12Speaker 1: for the ILLIONI coming in this season. You know, I
- 10:15Speaker 1: don't think he has performed as well as he has
- 10:18Speaker 1: other than that first season. Last year, this team was
- 10:20Speaker 1: five and seven. They bring back Luke Atwater, the Atwiler,
- 10:24Speaker 1: the old old Miss transfer quarterback that's back in here.
- 10:27Speaker 1: They bring back most of the offensive line. But when
- 10:30Speaker 1: I look at this squad and I look at their schedule,
- 10:34Speaker 1: I see another losing season for the Aliana this year. Defensively,
- 10:39Speaker 1: I think they're really gonna have some struggles. But their
- 10:41Speaker 1: schedule doesn't set up great. I mean, they've got Kansas
- 10:45Speaker 1: is in there. Kansas is gonna be good, and I
- 10:48Speaker 1: think that's a tough one. At Nebraska, which I think
- 10:51Speaker 1: is improved at Penn State produce a dumpster fire. Then
- 10:54Speaker 1: they've got Michigan Oregon, and so I look at this
- 10:58Speaker 1: team as if this team can get to six and six,
- 11:00Speaker 1: I think that's a great achievement. I'm shading to the
- 11:03Speaker 1: under at the five and a half win mark. Vegas
- 11:06Speaker 1: has this team slotted at what we got here. Yeah,
- 11:10Speaker 1: Vegas has got it at five and a half. Is
- 11:12Speaker 1: the number over is juice to even if you're going under,
- 11:15Speaker 1: it's minus one thirty and that's about where I've got
- 11:18Speaker 1: this team rated. I don't see any value in trying
- 11:20Speaker 1: to make a play on the total on this one
- 11:22Speaker 1: because that five to six win mark is right there.
- 11:25Speaker 1: In those games that they're they're gonna be, they're gonna
- 11:27Speaker 1: be favored in six games and so past that, I
- 11:31Speaker 1: just but I think they could get road graded in
- 11:33Speaker 1: quite quite a few of these.
- 11:35Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know that they're gonna win a road game,
- 11:38Speaker 3: because I do think Nebraska's got a chance to be better.
- 11:42Speaker 3: I do think that program's on the right track. Their
- 11:45Speaker 3: best chance at a road game to me is to end
- 11:47Speaker 3: the year. Because I'm a fan of what Ruggers has
- 11:50Speaker 3: got going. I think they're They're back in a bowl
- 11:53Speaker 3: game this year. I think they think their schedule is favorable,
- 11:56Speaker 3: So I'm not I'm not a fan of this from
- 11:58Speaker 3: a from a schedule standpoint, and I do think the
- 12:03Speaker 3: team is just going to be mad.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Altemeyer's got to do it better. He's got to play better.
- 12:08Speaker 2: It needs to stay healthy as well. Uh. He was
- 12:10Speaker 2: banged up a good bit, so needs to stay healthy.
- 12:13Speaker 3: I will tell you that the the aligna I got
- 12:16Speaker 3: to steal in a quarterback a kick named Petty Uh
- 12:20Speaker 3: Kip from my hometown in Mississippi, tremendous athlete, fast as
- 12:24Speaker 3: absolute lightning, had a knee injury. Uh is the reason
- 12:28Speaker 3: he was not a bigger recruit. The kid can run
- 12:32Speaker 3: like the wind when he's healthy, and they he played
- 12:35Speaker 3: in a in a spread where all he did was
- 12:37Speaker 3: fling it, so he didn't run as much as he's capable.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Uh.
- 12:41Speaker 3: Burt hangs on long enough, he may have a quarterback
- 12:43Speaker 3: who can make something happen.
- 12:45Speaker 1: So that, yeah, I think if Bert gets to a bowl,
- 12:48Speaker 1: they keep him. I don't know what the incentive is
- 12:50Speaker 1: is to pull the you know, pull it out from
- 12:51Speaker 1: under him there. I mean, Illinois has been fairly irrelevant.
- 12:54Speaker 1: He's got some excitement around him. So if he gets
- 12:56Speaker 1: them to six wins, I think Burt comes back another
- 12:58Speaker 1: year having the big Orange on the sideline Indiana. Moving
- 13:02Speaker 1: on last year, this team went three and nine, one
- 13:04Speaker 1: in eight in the Big Ten. Vegas has currently got
- 13:07Speaker 1: them at the exact same number that they have Illinois
- 13:10Speaker 1: five and a half, juiced a little bit to the over,
- 13:12Speaker 1: but pretty even odds in there. This game is interesting.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Kurt Signetti comes over here from James Madison, moving up
- 13:18Speaker 1: from the Sunbelt. Signetti's never had a losing record in
- 13:21Speaker 1: his thirteen years of coaching, and he takes over in
- 13:24Speaker 1: Indiana program that has had some success, but after Kaitlyn
- 13:28Speaker 1: Deboorn and Michael Pennix left, they really fell off. After
- 13:31Speaker 1: that COVID year, Curtis Rourke transfers in. He did some
- 13:34Speaker 1: great work at Ohio. This is a big jump jumping
- 13:37Speaker 1: from the MAC, which is not a great you know,
- 13:41Speaker 1: the MAC is not a great Group of five conference
- 13:43Speaker 1: like it used to be. But he was the offensive
- 13:45Speaker 1: player of the Year last year moves over into this
- 13:48Speaker 1: the Big Ten. This is a big opportunity for him.
- 13:51Speaker 1: It's a big opportunity Signetti. Signetti's got a very unique offense.
- 13:54Speaker 1: I think he's gonna be able to put some points
- 13:56Speaker 1: up and hang around in some games. But where this
- 13:58Speaker 1: team is really has gonna have to stay healthy. If
- 14:00Speaker 1: they're gonna try to get to six wins and make
- 14:01Speaker 1: a Bowl and keep that thirteen year streak is they've
- 14:04Speaker 1: got to stay healthy in the trench. They are really
- 14:07Speaker 1: thin in the O line of the D line, and
- 14:09Speaker 1: they cannot afford to get banged up with injuries in there,
- 14:12Speaker 1: because if they do, it's gonna get wonky really really quick.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Their schedules manageable FIU Western, Illinois, Ucla, and Charlotte to
- 14:20Speaker 1: open the season, and then they get Maryland and at Northwestern. Realistically,
- 14:24Speaker 1: if this team's got some cajones, they could be five
- 14:28Speaker 1: and one, four and two, you know, coming through this.
- 14:31Speaker 1: I mean, I think at UCLA Indiana, you're gonna laugh.
- 14:34Speaker 1: If Indiana is getting six and a half seven, we
- 14:38Speaker 1: may be riding with the Hoosiers in that one. We'll
- 14:40Speaker 1: just have to see where it's gonna go. But I'm
- 14:42Speaker 1: gonna I'm gonna fade away from this team right now,
- 14:44Speaker 1: but I'm interested to see what Signetti and these guys
- 14:46Speaker 1: are gonna do. I think they're gonna get some numbers
- 14:48Speaker 1: and may get some great backdoor covers. I just don't
- 14:50Speaker 1: know if you're gonna be a pull out six or
- 14:51Speaker 1: seven wins.
- 14:53Speaker 3: Look, I want to tell you something, h I'm fascinated
- 14:56Speaker 3: to see mcal kamara how he does in the big
- 15:00Speaker 3: against taking the upgrade in steps.
- 15:03Speaker 2: That guy made a lot of plays.
- 15:04Speaker 3: He had two starts and twenty six and a half.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Tackles for a loss in his career at JMU.
- 15:13Speaker 3: I'm fascinated to see how that guy turns around and
- 15:16Speaker 3: comes out that's big time. So I just I want
- 15:20Speaker 3: to see if he is that player. And I've been
- 15:22Speaker 3: You talk about a guy who can make some things happen.
- 15:25Speaker 2: I think it says a lot about Signetti.
- 15:26Speaker 3: How many guys he's brought over from JMU, lot of transfers.
- 15:29Speaker 3: They got guys coming from all over Texas, A and
- 15:32Speaker 3: M was Virginia, Stanford. I mean, you start Notre Dame,
- 15:36Speaker 3: Texas Tech, Wait, Forest, They got guys coming in from everywhere.
- 15:40Speaker 3: So I'm interested like you to see what Signetti does.
- 15:43Speaker 3: I don't know that he can avoid the non winning season.
- 15:48Speaker 2: But when I.
- 15:49Speaker 3: Tell you this was the best hire of the off
- 15:53Speaker 3: season for this program, it's hard for me to really
- 15:59Speaker 3: communicate how much I like to hire. Signetti was as
- 16:01Speaker 3: good as they could hope. I mean, it was absolutely
- 16:04Speaker 3: a best case scenario for them and a worst case
- 16:08Speaker 3: scenario for JMU with a guy who's in his sixties,
- 16:10Speaker 3: which is the only reason Signetti was not on everybody's radar.
- 16:14Speaker 3: But the bottom line, the guy can coach football.
- 16:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree with you. Like I said, I plan
- 16:19Speaker 1: on watching this team really closely and seeing if there's
- 16:22Speaker 1: some opportunities there. But it's I like everything about it.
- 16:26Speaker 1: I just hope it can produce. But there's a lot
- 16:28Speaker 1: of moving parts that they're gonna have to get right.
- 16:30Speaker 1: Stand in the eyes, bro. Let's go to the offensive powerhouse,
- 16:34Speaker 1: the Iowa Hawk guys, who will be bringing in Tim Lester,
- 16:38Speaker 1: a new offensive coordinator this year, hoping to spice things
- 16:41Speaker 1: up a little bit. They've also got transferred quarterback in
- 16:44Speaker 1: Cad Magnamara. He'll be starting this year. He was on
- 16:47Speaker 1: the roster last year. I watched some cutups of the
- 16:49Speaker 1: spring game. He looked better than I anticipated. Lester runs
- 16:53Speaker 1: a lot of eleven formation, So I'll be fascinated to
- 16:56Speaker 1: see if a team that has been running the ball
- 16:59Speaker 1: at the line of scrimmage and has been tight in
- 17:02Speaker 1: you for the last fifteen years is going to come
- 17:05Speaker 1: out in some three wide splits with a one back.
- 17:07Speaker 1: I'm not sure from that standpoint. Offensive line, They've got
- 17:10Speaker 1: a shit ton of snaps that are coming back on
- 17:12Speaker 1: the squad now. This offensive line, though, I don't know
- 17:15Speaker 1: that it's as good as it's been in the past,
- 17:17Speaker 1: because they've turned out some massive offensive line NFL prospects players,
- 17:20Speaker 1: so on and so forth, and so they've got a
- 17:23Speaker 1: ton of returners. I just wonder about the physicality that
- 17:25Speaker 1: they've got from this standpoint. Defensively, Phil Parker, in my opinion,
- 17:29Speaker 1: is the most underrated defensive coordinator in the country. The
- 17:32Speaker 1: guy does more with bless and he just develops talent.
- 17:36Speaker 1: And you know, they lost I think they lost their
- 17:38Speaker 1: strength and conditioning coach. Didn't he get wrapped up in
- 17:41Speaker 1: that whole mess of urban myri Yeah, I thought so,
- 17:43Speaker 1: Phil Proctor, I think so it was, And I think
- 17:46Speaker 1: you've seen a little bit of a downgrade of the
- 17:47Speaker 1: defense from that standpoint, but from the trench, this team's
- 17:50Speaker 1: always good. Last year they started up a little bit
- 17:53Speaker 1: slow defensively and from penetrations and sacks, but you know
- 17:57Speaker 1: you're always going to get an effort from this team.
- 17:59Speaker 1: This to me is like the most buttoned up program
- 18:02Speaker 1: over the last ten years that just kind of gets overlooked.
- 18:05Speaker 1: It's literally a flyover state and program. But I like
- 18:08Speaker 1: what they're doing here. They lose their two best players,
- 18:12Speaker 1: they lose their punter last year hit If you didn't
- 18:14Speaker 1: watch you, I can't remember the kid's name. He pinned
- 18:16Speaker 1: those team teams so deep, just crazy, every single every
- 18:20Speaker 1: time he got out there. And then they lost Cooper Dezine,
- 18:23Speaker 1: who was drafted in the first round cornerback, but they've
- 18:26Speaker 1: replaced him. Secondary wise, they look good. I took a flyer,
- 18:30Speaker 1: I've got a unit that I split on Iowa to
- 18:33Speaker 1: win the Big Ten, and I took Iowa to win
- 18:36Speaker 1: the National Championship with hoping that I could build a
- 18:38Speaker 1: hedge portfolio out of this. Because Iowa schedule it sets
- 18:42Speaker 1: up as friendly as could be for this team. What
- 18:44Speaker 1: are your thoughts?
- 18:45Speaker 2: Oh, I love this. I love this schedule.
- 18:47Speaker 3: I mean they get Iowa stayed at home, which is early.
- 18:51Speaker 3: Road games are certainly manageable at Michigan State, at UCLA,
- 18:56Speaker 3: at Maryland, at Minnesota, and then they're also at Ohio State.
- 19:00Speaker 3: But other than that, man, you're talking a manageable schedule.
- 19:03Speaker 3: Home games in the league or Washington, Northwestern, Wisconsin, and Nebraska.
- 19:09Speaker 3: I think this team's got a chance to win ten
- 19:11Speaker 3: or eleven games. I think they are legitimately a playoff contender, and.
- 19:15Speaker 2: I don't think most people.
- 19:17Speaker 3: Most people are looking at I would thinking that this
- 19:20Speaker 3: is a well run program. They know how to compete.
- 19:23Speaker 3: When teams come in here, they're gonna they're gonna get
- 19:28Speaker 3: hit in the mouth, and that is that's not gonna change.
- 19:34Speaker 3: I've watched this team go into bowl games, compete against
- 19:36Speaker 3: some of the best teams and most talented teams from
- 19:38Speaker 3: the Southeastern Conference. I don't want to hear that these
- 19:41Speaker 3: guys can't play and can't make it and can't get
- 19:44Speaker 3: it done.
- 19:44Speaker 2: They can. I think, Look, I think they did.
- 19:46Speaker 3: A nice job on the higher at offense coordinator, but
- 19:50Speaker 3: I think it's dumbass. Youre wanting to make changes just
- 19:52Speaker 3: win baby. Just when the Ale Davis philosophy, just when
- 19:56Speaker 3: you're winning ten games, just keep riding it. I mean,
- 19:59Speaker 3: that's the bottom line is take COVID year out of it.
- 20:04Speaker 3: The last four years they've won ten games three times. Yeah,
- 20:08Speaker 3: I mean they were six and two and twenty when
- 20:10Speaker 3: they played in all Big Ten schedule. I mean it
- 20:12Speaker 3: is this is a really, really well done program. I
- 20:17Speaker 3: think they are playing as high of a level as
- 20:19Speaker 3: I has ever played. And that is not a shot
- 20:22Speaker 3: at Hayden Fry that team. These teams are really really
- 20:25Speaker 3: good and when you compare it to the talent in state,
- 20:29Speaker 3: for the production that they're getting, it's incredible.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I would agree in my thought on taking them.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Just so people are like scratching their head on win
- 20:37Speaker 1: the Big Ten. There's no divisions anymore. And so when
- 20:40Speaker 1: you look at their schedule how it sets up against
- 20:43Speaker 1: some of these other schools. Let's say they lose at
- 20:45Speaker 1: Ohio State and maybe I don't know, I don't know
- 20:50Speaker 1: where the other game they drop on here is.
- 20:51Speaker 3: I think their next most likely game to lose is
- 20:53Speaker 3: Iowa stayed at home.
- 20:55Speaker 1: It could be, and that's not going to hurt them
- 20:56Speaker 1: in the Big Ten. I mean in the Nebraska game.
- 21:00Speaker 3: In the years the next most likely, that's exactly right.
- 21:02Speaker 1: And so you look at this team and how it
- 21:04Speaker 1: sets up, and all they've got to negotiate themselves around
- 21:07Speaker 1: is Oregon and Ohio State, and those two teams play
- 21:10Speaker 1: each other, and Oregon's got some tougher games on their
- 21:12Speaker 1: schedule than what Iowa has. So my thought is, if
- 21:15Speaker 1: you can get them into the dance bro, you can
- 21:17Speaker 1: bet the other side and take a profit out of
- 21:18Speaker 1: this thing, because you're getting some pretty long odds on
- 21:20Speaker 1: them to win the conference and even win the Natty.
- 21:22Speaker 3: And that standpoint so well, and not to overdo the schedules,
- 21:26Speaker 3: but Iowa gets an off.
- 21:27Speaker 2: Week before Ohios, before Ohio State.
- 21:30Speaker 3: Ohio State's got road games sandwiched around Iowa at Michigan
- 21:34Speaker 3: State and at Orgon.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:35Speaker 3: So again, I just like how the schedule sets up,
- 21:39Speaker 3: and when you're looking preseason that teams that have got
- 21:41Speaker 3: a chance to do things, then I think that's big time.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Maryland Terrapins eight and five last season. I've got this
- 21:51Speaker 1: team slotted to finish in the bottom third of the
- 21:53Speaker 1: Big Ten and have land up. Mike Laxley's in there,
- 21:55Speaker 1: you got Josh Gattis and Kevin Sumlin are are the
- 21:58Speaker 1: offensive coordinators, and Brian Williams defensive coordinator. This team loses
- 22:02Speaker 1: some they've got. They bring back their wide receiver room,
- 22:05Speaker 1: which I think is they got some frisbee catching dogs
- 22:07Speaker 1: as talented, but little Tua is gone. They also send
- 22:11Speaker 1: some offensive linemen to the league, and so they lose
- 22:14Speaker 1: a big chunk of what they've got there from a
- 22:16Speaker 1: quarterback since point, I think that's MJ. Norris is gonna
- 22:18Speaker 1: get the start from everything I've been reading through the
- 22:21Speaker 1: notes and who he's gonna come in and play in
- 22:23Speaker 1: this position here. Defensively, they return most of their front seven.
- 22:27Speaker 1: They're thin in the back, but they're athletic. I don't
- 22:30Speaker 1: really have a read on Maryland. I just know this Connecticut,
- 22:33Speaker 1: that game they open up the season with is already
- 22:35Speaker 1: taking money. The Connecticut lines moved several points since it
- 22:39Speaker 1: opened up at circa early in the summer, and so
- 22:42Speaker 1: I got no idea what you're gonna get from the Terps.
- 22:45Speaker 1: But I can tell you this much. They could easily
- 22:47Speaker 1: make it all the way to Northwestern and be undefeated.
- 22:51Speaker 1: They got to go down to Virginia should be a
- 22:52Speaker 1: game that they should win, but they get to the
- 22:54Speaker 1: back end of that schedule USC, Minnesota, Oregon, Rutgers, Island,
- 22:58Speaker 1: Penn State. They could ease dropped four or five of
- 23:01Speaker 1: those games and fade off into oblivion. So that's all
- 23:04Speaker 1: my only read on Maryland. I don't have a deep
- 23:06Speaker 1: dive on this one too hard.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Yeah, don't have a deep dive, but not. I mean, look,
- 23:10Speaker 2: we don't have to lament that.
- 23:12Speaker 3: I have not had a that had a high impression
- 23:14Speaker 3: of Locksley, but he has significantly outperformed what I thought
- 23:18Speaker 3: he was going to do up here. But I think
- 23:20Speaker 3: his pipeline of guys that get run off from Georgia
- 23:24Speaker 3: and Alabama is kind of starting to shut down a
- 23:27Speaker 3: little bit, as those kids don't have contact with him
- 23:30Speaker 3: and things like that.
- 23:31Speaker 2: So I think now it's more of a of a
- 23:33Speaker 2: of a dive.
- 23:34Speaker 3: I think Virginia they probably lose, and I agree with you.
- 23:37Speaker 3: I think it's very likely they really struggle down the stretch,
- 23:41Speaker 3: so I expect them to come out fast. But I
- 23:43Speaker 3: think this team is a bold team at best.
- 23:47Speaker 2: I think I think.
- 23:48Speaker 3: They need to be hoping for six wins and Vegas
- 23:51Speaker 3: really doesn't really disagree with me very much.
- 23:54Speaker 2: They're saying the over under is six.
- 23:56Speaker 3: So and if you'll go over six and a half,
- 23:59Speaker 3: which is they're giving you a plus one sixteen.
- 24:02Speaker 2: So they don't they think this.
- 24:04Speaker 3: Team's a six win football team just like I do.
- 24:06Speaker 3: I think this is a five or six win football team.
- 24:08Speaker 1: Returning National champions Michigan Wolverines. This is gonna be a
- 24:12Speaker 1: completely different team than what you saw last year. New
- 24:15Speaker 1: coaching Ron Moore. We've talked about this a couple of times.
- 24:18Speaker 1: You've almost got a completely new roster. They lost a
- 24:21Speaker 1: ton of players to the NFL draft, people graduating very
- 24:24Speaker 1: thin on the offense. Defensively, they bring back a couple
- 24:27Speaker 1: of key starters. But what's your read on what we're
- 24:30Speaker 1: gonna get out of Michigan and Sharon Moore's first season?
- 24:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I think this defense is gonna be nasty.
- 24:35Speaker 3: I mean, I think they've got a bunch of guys
- 24:38Speaker 3: who are going to go in the NFL Draft. And
- 24:40Speaker 3: everybody saw how many guys they got drafted last year.
- 24:43Speaker 2: The differences. They had a lot of offensive guys getting
- 24:45Speaker 2: drafted last year.
- 24:46Speaker 3: This year, it's gonna be a ton of defensive guys,
- 24:49Speaker 3: I think this defense is nasty. I think they're gonna
- 24:51Speaker 3: be in a lot of close games. I think that
- 24:54Speaker 3: is one reason. More is trying to do ground and
- 24:57Speaker 3: pound to try to keep ball games close. Let's not
- 25:01Speaker 3: let don't have a ton of experience, make a bunch
- 25:04Speaker 3: of mistakes and take us out of a football game
- 25:06Speaker 3: because our defense can keep us in. It kind of
- 25:09Speaker 3: sounds like Iowa, who's won a lot of.
- 25:11Speaker 2: Them football games over the years.
- 25:13Speaker 3: So now I think the schedule is tough, and I
- 25:16Speaker 3: think that, but it's manageable as well. I mean, they're
- 25:21Speaker 3: really you look at this, They're going to have to
- 25:23Speaker 3: wet the bed to not win nine games, and they're over.
- 25:27Speaker 3: A total has dropped to eight and a half. And
- 25:32Speaker 3: so when it was at nine to nine and a half,
- 25:35Speaker 3: I was an under.
- 25:36Speaker 2: Now I'm an.
- 25:37Speaker 3: Over really handalyzing these teams and starting to get into it.
- 25:41Speaker 3: They get USC at home, now that's in September, unfortunate
- 25:45Speaker 3: for them. November they get Oregon at home, but they
- 25:48Speaker 3: could easily lose both of those ball games. They're at Washington,
- 25:53Speaker 3: at Illinois, at Indiana.
- 25:55Speaker 2: Those are manageable.
- 25:57Speaker 3: At Ohio State obviously is probably a loss, but I
- 26:00Speaker 3: mean they're going to have to lose to Northwestern, Michigan State, Minnesota,
- 26:04Speaker 3: Arkansas State, Presno State at home. I also think they
- 26:07Speaker 3: lose to Texas. So the bottom line is they've only
- 26:09Speaker 3: got three or four. They got four games. I think
- 26:11Speaker 3: they can lose on this schedule, or or at least
- 26:16Speaker 3: very close where what I'm calling toss up games, or
- 26:19Speaker 3: they're underdogs. They're not going to lose all four of them.
- 26:21Speaker 3: So I'll take nine and go over the under over
- 26:24Speaker 3: under win total here. Even though I think Sean Moore
- 26:27Speaker 3: has got the learning curve, as I discussed on a
- 26:29Speaker 3: previous podcast, so I think there's I think they will
- 26:32Speaker 3: lose a game or two just simply because he's gonna
- 26:34Speaker 3: have some learning curve. But I think this team is
- 26:37Speaker 3: still super talented in this defense, gonna be really good.
- 26:40Speaker 1: Michigan State bringing in a new coach, Jonathan Smith's coming
- 26:44Speaker 1: over from Oregon State. I really really like this higher.
- 26:47Speaker 1: I like everything about Jonathan Smith, from watching him play
- 26:51Speaker 1: to how he coached Oregon State built that team up.
- 26:53Speaker 1: The identity that he gave that team I thought was great.
- 26:57Speaker 1: I anticipate that's going to transfer well to Michigan State
- 27:01Speaker 1: with the type of players that you can recruit in there.
- 27:03Speaker 1: This team brings in twenty fourteen players off the portal,
- 27:06Speaker 1: which is not abnormal when you bring in a new coach.
- 27:08Speaker 1: He brings Aiden Childs in, who was the backup quarterback
- 27:12Speaker 1: but did get some stats last year playing for Oregon State.
- 27:14Speaker 1: When dj Ungleile was hurt, they played in there, so
- 27:17Speaker 1: he brought him over. They brought in a couple of
- 27:20Speaker 1: different key position players that I think could help this
- 27:23Speaker 1: team spring out to it over under win total. I
- 27:25Speaker 1: think on this team's four and a half, which I
- 27:29Speaker 1: think is about right from looking at this this team
- 27:31Speaker 1: is it's four and a half, four and a half,
- 27:34Speaker 1: juice heavy to the over at one fifty five and
- 27:36Speaker 1: some books that you've got there. Defensively, this team should
- 27:39Speaker 1: be okay. But their schedule I think is actually pretty manageable.
- 27:44Speaker 1: But they get a lot of the old guard of
- 27:46Speaker 1: the Big Ten and it's gonna be a lot of
- 27:47Speaker 1: slog fest in there. But I could see this team
- 27:49Speaker 1: going over four and a half wins if Aiden Childs
- 27:52Speaker 1: is able to play.
- 27:54Speaker 3: Yeah, I couldn't agree more. I love Jonathan Smith. I
- 27:56Speaker 3: think he's a good I think he's a good coach.
- 27:58Speaker 3: He took over what was as a program in shambles
- 28:01Speaker 3: at Oregon State, had kind of been through some coaching turnover,
- 28:05Speaker 3: comes over, does a great job. Everybody knows what he's
- 28:07Speaker 3: done the last couple of years. If you leave your
- 28:10Speaker 3: alma mater, you've got to feel good about the opportunity
- 28:13Speaker 3: you're getting. So obviously he's excited about this opportunity. Love
- 28:18Speaker 3: the defense coordinator higher here, Joe Rossi comes over from Minnesota.
- 28:22Speaker 3: He's put up some really, really good defenses. He was
- 28:24Speaker 3: also Rutgers, I think it was Rutgers before that, really
- 28:28Speaker 3: good defensive coordinator. Again, we talked about it. They got
- 28:32Speaker 3: a lot of people that's played a lot of snaps
- 28:34Speaker 3: over there on that side of the defense. So I
- 28:36Speaker 3: think they're going to be good on defense, and I
- 28:37Speaker 3: think Smith has got a chance to get them Bowl eligible.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Based on this.
- 28:44Speaker 3: Based on this schedule, again, they're playing a lot of
- 28:46Speaker 3: teams near them in the league, The Rutgers, the Purdue, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland.
- 28:52Speaker 2: Those are the schools on the schedule. Look, they do.
- 28:55Speaker 3: Play at Michigan, Iowa, at Oregon Ohio State, so no
- 28:59Speaker 3: favors there. The real difficulty and why I think this
- 29:02Speaker 3: over under is so low as they play at Boston
- 29:04Speaker 3: College and at Maryland two of the first four weeks
- 29:08Speaker 3: of the season. So when a team that's learning and
- 29:10Speaker 3: getting its feet under is.
- 29:11Speaker 2: Going to get put in a couple of difficult.
- 29:13Speaker 3: Environments early because Boston College obviously going to be fired up.
- 29:16Speaker 2: They got a fresh start with Bill O'Brien as well.
- 29:18Speaker 1: So moving on, Oh, Scott, they have two players you
- 29:22Speaker 1: might want to jot in for your all name team.
- 29:24Speaker 1: Quinarius No, we make sure you get this right, Quinn
- 29:29Speaker 1: Darius Dunnaghan. He's obviously Irish Catholic. And then yeah, they
- 29:33Speaker 1: have k Ron Lynch Adams. That's kay comment to the
- 29:36Speaker 1: top capital Ron Lynch Adams. So make sure you know
- 29:40Speaker 1: both of those guys because they may be honorable mentions
- 29:43Speaker 1: on your roster.
- 29:43Speaker 3: That that absolutely is the case. I have filing that.
- 29:48Speaker 2: That is my work.
- 29:48Speaker 3: Travel nightly, just peruse the rosters and come up with
- 29:53Speaker 3: a all named team. And yes, we are not going
- 29:56Speaker 3: to pay attention to position. I may do it by
- 29:58Speaker 3: position as well. We're just giving we're gonna give you
- 30:01Speaker 3: the twenty two best names and football. We may go
- 30:04Speaker 3: twenty four, because now we got some of these rugby
- 30:06Speaker 3: kickers and stuff like that, and we may get some
- 30:08Speaker 3: great names there too.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Absolutely, Minnesota the Golden Gophers. PJ. Fleck Row the boat baby.
- 30:14Speaker 1: I think this is season number eight for him. Team
- 30:16Speaker 1: went six and seven last year, three and six in
- 30:19Speaker 1: the Big Ten. This team really struggled last year to
- 30:22Speaker 1: find an identity at think caliac Manus, the quarterback is
- 30:25Speaker 1: transferred in conference. He's over at Rutgers now if you're
- 30:28Speaker 1: looking for him, because it's a fun name to say.
- 30:31Speaker 1: But this team last year, they can't figure out if
- 30:33Speaker 1: they want to be a ground and pound type team,
- 30:34Speaker 1: if they want to try to throw it downfield. They've
- 30:36Speaker 1: lost a lot of their key position players and that standpoint,
- 30:39Speaker 1: they bring back most of the old line of defensive line.
- 30:41Speaker 1: I think if this team has a chance to get
- 30:44Speaker 1: back to a bowl and be relevant in the Big Ten,
- 30:47Speaker 1: it's gonna have to be a defensive front that they've got.
- 30:50Speaker 1: Their schedule is extremely manageable in my opinion, but it's
- 30:53Speaker 1: gonna have to be a physical control the game from
- 30:56Speaker 1: a defensive front. I hate to say this as a comparison,
- 30:59Speaker 1: but in Iowa game plan, I don't know what we're
- 31:02Speaker 1: gonna get offensively from this thing. I've read through notes.
- 31:05Speaker 1: I can't get a read one way or the other,
- 31:07Speaker 1: and so I'm in a hard pass on anything Minnesota.
- 31:11Speaker 3: Max Brox Brosmer coming over from New Hampshire at quarterback
- 31:16Speaker 3: year six. Baby, you got to always love a year
- 31:19Speaker 3: six guy making it making making the transfer over. So look,
- 31:24Speaker 3: I think Minnesota is going to struggle there pretty much
- 31:26Speaker 3: everything we've all seen.
- 31:28Speaker 2: They're picked near the bottom of the league.
- 31:30Speaker 3: I like Fleck and these lines are always really really good.
- 31:34Speaker 3: They got a lot a lot of people that have
- 31:36Speaker 3: played a lot of snaps back on defense.
- 31:39Speaker 2: But I just think this team is going to struggle.
- 31:41Speaker 2: Justin Whaley is a really really.
- 31:44Speaker 3: Good player for them on the on the back end
- 31:46Speaker 3: at cornerback. Uh, he's a guy that's played a little
- 31:49Speaker 3: bit of offense for him as well. Kids a really
- 31:51Speaker 3: really talented player.
- 31:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I got no read on this team. Bringing a
- 31:56Speaker 1: quarterback over in his sixth year from New Hampshire to
- 31:58Speaker 1: playing a power five power forward does not sound great
- 32:02Speaker 1: to me. Uh, Nebraska, man, would I be excited to
- 32:07Speaker 1: see Nebraska come back? Matt Ruhle coming in his second
- 32:10Speaker 1: season here looking forward to as he was gonna do.
- 32:13Speaker 1: I was in Omaha for the College World Series, spent
- 32:16Speaker 1: some quality time with some Nebraska fans. They're excited about
- 32:19Speaker 1: this team. It's gonna be interesting to see what they're
- 32:22Speaker 1: gonna do. Offensively. They brought in that highly tithed recruited freshman, uh,
- 32:26Speaker 1: Dylan Rayola, whose uncle had a comp uh I think
- 32:29Speaker 1: played at Nebraska. Made me on the coaching staff there.
- 32:31Speaker 1: Brought him in from Arizona. They're counting on this kid
- 32:34Speaker 1: to start as a true freshman. Hendrick Harberg. He's gonna
- 32:38Speaker 1: be back this year just in case this doesn't work out.
- 32:41Speaker 1: I think they could have some growing pains. I am
- 32:43Speaker 1: fascinated by this game too. When they play Colorado has
- 32:47Speaker 1: to come up there and play them. But everything you
- 32:49Speaker 1: see defensively looks like it's gonna be strong, and Matt
- 32:53Speaker 1: Rule loves a good, strong defensive front. I watched him
- 32:56Speaker 1: do it at Baylor. He rebuilt that and offensively this year,
- 32:59Speaker 1: their mixed in some new things and they look like
- 33:01Speaker 1: they're gonna go go. Uh, they're gonna run it. I
- 33:04Speaker 1: think they're gonna run a three four two or they're
- 33:05Speaker 1: gonna go to a three five on the defense from
- 33:07Speaker 1: what I've been reading. So I'm interested to see how
- 33:10Speaker 1: this team's gonna play.
- 33:12Speaker 3: You're interested in week two, I'm interested in week in
- 33:15Speaker 3: week one. I just want to see them get a
- 33:18Speaker 3: win against a you know, against the team they're just
- 33:21Speaker 3: significantly better than, and how they handle it. I think, Nobra,
- 33:26Speaker 3: I'm gonna believe Nebraska is on its way back when
- 33:29Speaker 3: I start seeing them drill the average teams on their schedule.
- 33:33Speaker 2: When I when I see a thirty eight seven.
- 33:35Speaker 3: Or a thirty eight to three or whatever on that schedule,
- 33:39Speaker 3: I agree with you. Colorado is fascinating. Northern Iowa not
- 33:43Speaker 3: a game they need to look past. Uh that this
- 33:46Speaker 3: team is someone that I don't think can still take
- 33:49Speaker 3: anyone lightly.
- 33:50Speaker 2: That team has surprised Iowa.
- 33:53Speaker 3: State, so I mean, if they could beat them, they're
- 33:56Speaker 3: certainly capable of beating this Nebraska team.
- 33:58Speaker 2: Uh So they need to be aware of that as well.
- 34:01Speaker 3: I like, again, the schedule here they did them did
- 34:05Speaker 3: them some favors, although they got a tough little sled
- 34:09Speaker 3: in there. They do get an off week in the
- 34:10Speaker 3: middle of it, but they are they have off week
- 34:13Speaker 3: October twelfth. They're at Indiana, at Ohio State home to UCLA,
- 34:18Speaker 3: off week at USC home to Wisconsin, at Iowa.
- 34:23Speaker 2: There's their stretch.
- 34:24Speaker 3: I mean, what's this football team going to do where?
- 34:27Speaker 3: What do they do on those four road games? What
- 34:29Speaker 3: do they do with those couple of home games sandwiched
- 34:32Speaker 3: in those four road games. That's a tough stretch and
- 34:36Speaker 3: really puts them in what I think is a difficult
- 34:38Speaker 3: spot at Iowa late in the season, especially if they
- 34:42Speaker 3: lose those two previous games, which are certainly capable of doing.
- 34:45Speaker 3: I just want to say, I don't think Wisconsin's going
- 34:48Speaker 3: to this year.
- 34:49Speaker 2: I know we're going to get to them in a.
- 34:50Speaker 3: Little bit, but I don't think they're gonna be very good.
- 34:53Speaker 3: So I also don't want to overplay that game in
- 34:55Speaker 3: this stretch. I think that's the game they're the most
- 34:57Speaker 3: likely to win, honestly, and Ucla, obviously, I don't think
- 35:02Speaker 3: it's gonna be very good.
- 35:03Speaker 1: So Northwestern David Brown got the coaching job after stepping
- 35:08Speaker 1: in as the interim last year when we lost coach
- 35:11Speaker 1: Pat Damn. I still can't believe he's gone. This team
- 35:16Speaker 1: won eight games last year and you look at their
- 35:19Speaker 1: schedule this year, and you can't find eight wins that
- 35:21Speaker 1: they've got, but they overperformed last year. Over under win
- 35:25Speaker 1: total in Vegas is four and a half. On this team,
- 35:29Speaker 1: they don't have a field. Have you seen their field?
- 35:31Speaker 1: I've been there, I stood on it. It's literally you
- 35:35Speaker 1: could throw a rock from the sideline into Lake Michigan.
- 35:38Speaker 1: They are gonna be right on the water. I think
- 35:41Speaker 1: that if you're looking at this team, I don't have
- 35:43Speaker 1: a handle on where they're gonna go, but looking at
- 35:45Speaker 1: weather in Chicago and wins is gonna be interesting from
- 35:49Speaker 1: a over under total betting perspective because they are literally
- 35:53Speaker 1: playing on a practice field next to Lake Michigan, and
- 35:56Speaker 1: the win is gonna be whipping its ass off and
- 35:58Speaker 1: it's gonna be cold over there. That's all I got
- 36:01Speaker 1: on Fourthwestern at this point.
- 36:03Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it's gonna be. Uh this last year significant.
- 36:07Speaker 3: I thought they would be a complete other mess. I mean,
- 36:10Speaker 3: remember Brian was coming in and was just on the staff.
- 36:13Speaker 3: It's not like they had even hired me. They promoted
- 36:16Speaker 3: a dude who was brand new to the staff.
- 36:19Speaker 2: Which last year and.
- 36:21Speaker 3: Did a tremendous job. Candidly, it's a and and they
- 36:24Speaker 3: had such a train wreck. It reminds me a lot
- 36:27Speaker 3: of what's going on at Utah State right now. Candidly
- 36:29Speaker 3: what they did, but they overperformed. It's like that team rallied.
- 36:36Speaker 3: I never expected that team. I thought that team was
- 36:38Speaker 3: gonna win three games, and I talked about it in
- 36:40Speaker 3: our big and preview and I couldn't.
- 36:43Speaker 2: Have been more wrong.
- 36:44Speaker 3: Although again, you just look at this roster and it
- 36:47Speaker 3: just simply does not pack up.
- 36:49Speaker 2: You got Mike Wright taking over at quarterback.
- 36:52Speaker 3: He is a one dimensional guy, can't throw the football
- 36:54Speaker 3: very well. Was at Mississippi State, was at Vanderbilt. I
- 37:00Speaker 3: don't they still have Helenski, but I'm assuming Right's gonna win.
- 37:04Speaker 2: This job just because of how athletic he is.
- 37:07Speaker 3: But if they're not gonna put him out and try
- 37:09Speaker 3: to run and do some spread and read options, Wright's
- 37:14Speaker 3: just no help to them at all. So may see
- 37:16Speaker 3: Helenski back there at quarterback for them. So anyway, I
- 37:20Speaker 3: don't think this team's gonna be I don't think this
- 37:22Speaker 3: team's gonna be very good. I think they're gonna be
- 37:24Speaker 3: one of the They're significantly in the bottom half of
- 37:27Speaker 3: this league, but I think they're in the bottom four or.
- 37:29Speaker 1: Five Ohio State two teams start with an er and
- 37:33Speaker 1: the big ten I think are all in or bust
- 37:35Speaker 1: to try to win the Natty this year. Uh they
- 37:37Speaker 1: bring in Will Howard quarterback from Kansas State, which is
- 37:40Speaker 1: interesting to me because I'm not sure he was gonna
- 37:42Speaker 1: start there. They ran off Kyle McCord, who's now the
- 37:45Speaker 1: starting quarterback at Syracuse. They've got Devin Brown, who's got
- 37:49Speaker 1: some snaps under his belt. And then they actually got
- 37:51Speaker 1: the number one quarterback in the country at a high
- 37:53Speaker 1: school from Carlsbad, California. Julians said, is coming in kid
- 37:56Speaker 1: that originally went to Alabama, but when Dubor came in,
- 37:59Speaker 1: he transfer immediately to Ohio State. They also bring in
- 38:02Speaker 1: Qishawn Judkins, so they've easily got the two top running
- 38:06Speaker 1: backs in the country, two of the top ten running
- 38:08Speaker 1: backs in the country, probably the best running back tandem
- 38:11Speaker 1: we've seen since Lindell White and Reggie Bush at USC
- 38:15Speaker 1: back in their National championship runs. That they bring there.
- 38:19Speaker 1: Wide receiver room still looks great, Jeremiah Smith. If you
- 38:23Speaker 1: have this guy is gonna be a freak. And he
- 38:25Speaker 1: is gonna be a freak. I know most of y'all
- 38:27Speaker 1: haven't seen this kid play yet, but trust me, he
- 38:30Speaker 1: does things different when he gets the ball. Ecuba's back,
- 38:33Speaker 1: Carnal tates so offensively, I think this team's gonna go.
- 38:36Speaker 1: I'm also Chip Kelly left the head coaching job at
- 38:40Speaker 1: UCLA to become the offensive coordinator there. Now, it's never
- 38:44Speaker 1: been a hidden secret that Chip Kelly does not like recruiting,
- 38:47Speaker 1: and I'm sure he took this job with the stipulation
- 38:50Speaker 1: that he's getting paid a million plus and he doesn't
- 38:53Speaker 1: have to recruit anything. He just gets to diagram and
- 38:55Speaker 1: call plays. That being said, I kind of wonder if
- 38:59Speaker 1: the game's passed by a little bit because if you
- 39:02Speaker 1: remember when he was at Oregon, you had never seen
- 39:05Speaker 1: offense like that these guys. I mean, it was like
- 39:07Speaker 1: a video game and you were playing like pee wee
- 39:09Speaker 1: football teams and they had speed coming out their ears.
- 39:13Speaker 1: But he's never been able to replicate that even, you know, never,
- 39:17Speaker 1: And I don't know if it's because he hadn't had
- 39:18Speaker 1: the talent that he had at Oregon at the time
- 39:20Speaker 1: or what it can be. But anyway, they bring him in. Defensively,
- 39:25Speaker 1: they've got Jim Knowles still calling this. They've got two
- 39:27Speaker 1: defensive tackles two deep on their FOURD that are both
- 39:30Speaker 1: gonna end up in the NFL. But there were five
- 39:32Speaker 1: star recruits coming in. Not sure why they're still there
- 39:35Speaker 1: as seniors. I mean, they're entire defensive line as seniors,
- 39:37Speaker 1: which is crazy because they're probably all going to end
- 39:39Speaker 1: up in the league. This team, to me is win
- 39:42Speaker 1: or bust. They're over win totals at ten and a
- 39:44Speaker 1: half shaded to the over at minus one fifty five.
- 39:47Speaker 1: They're plus one thirty five to win the conference. Ryan
- 39:51Speaker 1: days fifty six and eight, but interestingly enough, against top
- 39:56Speaker 1: five teams, he's two and six and it hit. They
- 39:58Speaker 1: don't beat Michigan this year, there's no way he's coaching
- 40:02Speaker 1: there next year.
- 40:03Speaker 3: Yeah, which is absolutely insane.
- 40:05Speaker 2: I think there's I have several.
- 40:07Speaker 3: Points about the Ryan Day firing and this coaching staff
- 40:11Speaker 3: in general. First I'm interested to see is the Kelly
- 40:15Speaker 3: Hi are gonna be like the Jimbo Fisher. Oh, I'm
- 40:21Speaker 3: hiring an offensive coordinator deal. Oh, we're gonna run my
- 40:24Speaker 3: offense and win the games on the line. I'm gonna
- 40:26Speaker 3: be calling plays. Very fascinated to see how that goes
- 40:30Speaker 3: that they're considering firing a guy who's lost eight games
- 40:34Speaker 3: in six years is wild to me. I mean, it's
- 40:38Speaker 3: still really hard to win a national title and and
- 40:42Speaker 3: everything's got to go right.
- 40:43Speaker 2: You got to have some breaks. They have had not breaks.
- 40:46Speaker 3: I mean, look, if Marvin Harrison doesn't get hurt against
- 40:51Speaker 3: Georgia two years ago, he's won his knack because they
- 40:55Speaker 3: win that football game. If he doesn't get hurt, I'm
- 40:58Speaker 3: convinced of that, and then go crush TCU. So I
- 41:03Speaker 3: just don't they're not that far off. Fired a guy
- 41:07Speaker 3: with eight losses to me is nuts. But I agree
- 41:09Speaker 3: with you one hundred percent. This dude doesn't win a Natty,
- 41:12Speaker 3: especially with a playoff.
- 41:13Speaker 2: I think he's gone.
- 41:14Speaker 3: And I think the playoff's gonna make it even harder
- 41:17Speaker 3: to win a Natty because you got to replicate against
- 41:19Speaker 3: good teams. You talked about, You talked about his record
- 41:23Speaker 3: versus top five teams. Now he's going to be two
- 41:25Speaker 3: or three to win a Natty, and so I think
- 41:27Speaker 3: it's gonna be tough. But he's also still really young,
- 41:31Speaker 3: and young coaches have learning curves. That's exactly what I'm
- 41:34Speaker 3: talking about. Resawan Moore it's got six years into his career,
- 41:37Speaker 3: go lass Nick Saban. If it's six years a head coach,
- 41:40Speaker 3: he was who he is when he was winning national titles.
- 41:43Speaker 3: Because the dude that was coaching Michigan State is not
- 41:47Speaker 3: the same guy who was Alabama from nine on. He
- 41:51Speaker 3: wasn't And I just think let's not let's just bad
- 41:56Speaker 3: the breaks here. I do want to point out one
- 41:58Speaker 3: thing you talked about. All these guys are coming back.
- 42:00Speaker 3: I tell you why they're coming back because they spent
- 42:02Speaker 3: twenty million in nil last year via their athletic director.
- 42:05Speaker 3: I was gonna talk two hundred and thirty five thousand
- 42:08Speaker 3: dollars a kid. You know, everybody ain't getting to thirty five.
- 42:12Speaker 3: They've got dues making four and five million dollars. You're
- 42:14Speaker 3: not a first round or you're taking a pay cut,
- 42:16Speaker 3: why wouldn't you come back? I mean that if I'm
- 42:19Speaker 3: making three or four million dollars to go have a
- 42:21Speaker 3: chance to win a Natty, to play. It's why Morvan
- 42:24Speaker 3: Harrison I honestly, until they knew he was going to
- 42:28Speaker 3: be and I think.
- 42:29Speaker 2: It was always the case.
- 42:30Speaker 3: The top five pick, there were people that are like,
- 42:32Speaker 3: why when you come back, got to remember, it's a
- 42:34Speaker 3: rookie salary cap in the NFL, and some of these
- 42:37Speaker 3: guys can make what they're making in the NFL. You're
- 42:40Speaker 3: playing a position where you may not get hurt. Why
- 42:42Speaker 3: wouldn't you come back? I think this is going to
- 42:45Speaker 3: be an interesting football team. I think they do have
- 42:47Speaker 3: a lot of pressure on them. How does that affect
- 42:50Speaker 3: day is the fascinating part of their playoff team. I
- 42:52Speaker 3: don't think there's any way they can't get in the playoffs.
- 42:55Speaker 3: I think you have to take them to win over
- 42:57Speaker 3: ten and a half games where the schedules at at
- 43:01Speaker 3: Oregon at Penn State are really the only games that
- 43:05Speaker 3: I think.
- 43:05Speaker 2: They can lose.
- 43:07Speaker 3: The rest of everybody else is at home, and I
- 43:09Speaker 3: don't think they're going to lose to them.
- 43:10Speaker 2: I don't think they lose to Michigan at home this year.
- 43:12Speaker 3: Although they've done it, but Jim Harball is not on
- 43:15Speaker 3: the sideline now, and Harball is still a really, really
- 43:17Speaker 3: good football game.
- 43:18Speaker 1: I would I like Ohio State here. I would tell you,
- 43:21Speaker 1: if you can find a yes to make the playoffs
- 43:23Speaker 1: at hething minus, I'd probably say three point fifty. I
- 43:26Speaker 1: would probably lay it. I think this team's got a
- 43:28Speaker 1: great shot to go undefeated when and when they match up,
- 43:32Speaker 1: they the best team on their schedule. I think they're
- 43:34Speaker 1: gonna play is Oregon, and that's an interesting game too,
- 43:37Speaker 1: because if you look at Oregon's recruiting, Damn Dan Lanning
- 43:41Speaker 1: has done one hell of a job taking over this
- 43:43Speaker 1: thing for Mario Cristobal. He comes in here up. This
- 43:46Speaker 1: will be his third season. He's twenty two to five,
- 43:48Speaker 1: comes in here, He's got this thing on the rails.
- 43:51Speaker 1: It's gonna be fun. They bring in Dylan Gabriel from Oklahoma.
- 43:54Speaker 1: I feel like Dylan Gabriel has been playing football forever.
- 43:58Speaker 2: That's because he has.
- 44:00Speaker 1: Is he as old as I am, I mean, the
- 44:02Speaker 1: only but uh, they bring in Dylan Gabriel. Then you've
- 44:06Speaker 1: got Dante Moore who transferred in from UCLA to be
- 44:08Speaker 1: the backup quarterback. This UCLA team is gonna be explosive.
- 44:12Speaker 1: They got one of the best white two wide receivers
- 44:14Speaker 1: in the country in Tess Johnson and Evan Stewart who
- 44:16Speaker 1: transferred from Texas A and M. I think this team
- 44:19Speaker 1: is going to score in bunches, and I think where
- 44:22Speaker 1: this team is gonna struggle and they're gonna have to
- 44:26Speaker 1: prove it to me, and they've never done it. Not
- 44:28Speaker 1: one time. It proved to me that you can win
- 44:30Speaker 1: a physical game. I mean, look at them last year
- 44:33Speaker 1: against the University of Washington, Joe Moore Award winning offensive
- 44:36Speaker 1: line and Oregon, to me, on paper, was a better team,
- 44:39Speaker 1: and they got fucking dominated both times that they played
- 44:43Speaker 1: this team. And if you're gonna move into the Big
- 44:45Speaker 1: Ten and play you're gonna have to play physical in
- 44:47Speaker 1: the trench. I know Lanning knows that this team's gonna
- 44:50Speaker 1: have to prove it to me that they can get
- 44:51Speaker 1: it done, because on paper, this team has got a
- 44:54Speaker 1: shot to win the national Championship.
- 44:56Speaker 2: No doubt about it. I couldn't agree more.
- 44:58Speaker 3: I think this is this is a team again in
- 45:00Speaker 3: their playoff found I don't think there's any way either
- 45:02Speaker 3: one of these teams, doesn't you know? The thing is
- 45:05Speaker 3: mark on the on the physical game other than Ohio State,
- 45:10Speaker 3: who is that?
- 45:10Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying.
- 45:11Speaker 3: Though their schedule, their schedule this year sets up so good.
- 45:15Speaker 3: They get Ohio State at home in mid October, Man,
- 45:19Speaker 3: that could be fabulous. I mean, they're they're at Michigan
- 45:22Speaker 3: and that obviously is their toughest game. Cannot imagine seem
- 45:27Speaker 3: to be any less than ten and two. Uh, they
- 45:29Speaker 3: have failed if they If they go less than ten
- 45:31Speaker 3: and two, they get Washington at home again, They're at Wisconsin,
- 45:35Speaker 3: to get Maryland at home, Illinois at home, they're at Purdue,
- 45:38Speaker 3: They're at UCLA's. That sets up pretty good. They do
- 45:41Speaker 3: play Oregon State at Oregon State, but I just don't
- 45:44Speaker 3: think that's going to be the same team, uh that
- 45:46Speaker 3: it has been.
- 45:47Speaker 2: But they have lost.
- 45:49Speaker 3: I think it's three of the last four in Corvallis,
- 45:51Speaker 3: so uh, they got to go up there and got
- 45:53Speaker 3: to win that ball game.
- 45:54Speaker 2: But I think this Oregon DUC team is really good.
- 45:56Speaker 1: Phil Knight's eighty six years old this year, and I
- 45:59Speaker 1: think he is all in on trying to win the
- 46:02Speaker 1: national championship. And that's why they have given this team
- 46:05Speaker 1: everything they need. I think Lanning's done a good job.
- 46:08Speaker 1: I'll give you an interesting play. I think taking Oregon
- 46:11Speaker 1: to win the Big Ten, it's somewhere between plus one
- 46:14Speaker 1: ninety and plus two to ten or some of the
- 46:16Speaker 1: numbers I'm seeing, is not a bad bet. Here's why
- 46:19Speaker 1: they're gonna end up most likely playing for the Big
- 46:21Speaker 1: Ten championship, I think, and if they don't, obviously you're
- 46:26Speaker 1: gonna lose the bet. But you're not gonna get a
- 46:29Speaker 1: two to one bet if they're the dog coming in
- 46:31Speaker 1: here to play Ohio State. Let's say they lose to
- 46:32Speaker 1: Ohio State and they have to rematch and play them again.
- 46:35Speaker 1: There's no way you're gonna get two to one on
- 46:36Speaker 1: that team again in that game. So that's basically you're
- 46:39Speaker 1: buying that ticket to hold it to hope that they
- 46:42Speaker 1: make the Big Ten, and you're gonna get a two
- 46:44Speaker 1: to one ticket, which you're not gonna get that money line,
- 46:46Speaker 1: and you could hedge out the other way if you
- 46:47Speaker 1: want a two from an Ohio State perspective. But I'm
- 46:50Speaker 1: just putting that out there because these two teams are
- 46:52Speaker 1: far and above the best two teams in.
- 46:53Speaker 3: The conference, no doubt about it, no doubt, there's no
- 46:56Speaker 3: doubt about it. Although I will tell you I really
- 46:59Speaker 3: like that Penn State schedule so well, I don't know that.
- 47:03Speaker 2: They're not going to be right behind you.
- 47:05Speaker 1: Penn State's interesting to me. This team's ten and three
- 47:07Speaker 1: last year. James Franklin will be starting year number eleven
- 47:11Speaker 1: he's eighty eight and thirty nine over his tenure there.
- 47:13Speaker 1: He brings back his quarterback and Drew Bayler. I thought,
- 47:16Speaker 1: I thought he underperformed last season. I was really expecting
- 47:20Speaker 1: this team to make an offensive jump. It didn't, I got.
- 47:25Speaker 1: I mean, when you look at their schedule at West
- 47:27Speaker 1: Virginia is interesting to me because West Virginia was so
- 47:30Speaker 1: disrespected last year that I think this team's gonna have
- 47:33Speaker 1: a big ass chip on its shoulder when they get
- 47:34Speaker 1: ready to play. But then past that, I mean, other
- 47:37Speaker 1: than the fact at USC at Whiskey, Ohio State. You know,
- 47:42Speaker 1: I mean, they've got three or four games in there,
- 47:44Speaker 1: but I don't think they you know, I think USC
- 47:47Speaker 1: in Ohio State are probably the only two games on
- 47:49Speaker 1: their schedule they could lose.
- 47:52Speaker 3: Yeah, I am, I completely agree with this. I man,
- 47:57Speaker 3: this schedule sets up so good for them. Nine and
- 48:00Speaker 3: three gets them in the playoff.
- 48:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree.
- 48:03Speaker 3: And and I think I don't see how they're worse
- 48:07Speaker 3: than nine and three. And I do like the defense
- 48:10Speaker 3: coordinator higher. I think Tom Allen, while not didn't do
- 48:14Speaker 3: a tremendous job at the end, because he did overall,
- 48:16Speaker 3: I would say he did a pretty darn good job
- 48:18Speaker 3: at Indiana as a whole, because Indiana is a tough job.
- 48:21Speaker 3: But he is a good defense coordinator, and I think
- 48:24Speaker 3: that is going to I think that's gonna be at
- 48:27Speaker 3: at at worst and even switch with them losing Manny Dias,
- 48:32Speaker 3: but I think that may even be a slight upgrade.
- 48:35Speaker 3: So I like Penn State. Again, I think these are
- 48:37Speaker 3: three teams that are that are playoff bound. James Franklin
- 48:41Speaker 3: this is the playoff and I think he's fired. And
- 48:47Speaker 3: but again, this is a team that's got a chance
- 48:49Speaker 3: to win ten games for the third straight season, and
- 48:53Speaker 3: you know this is a tough league.
- 48:55Speaker 2: What do you expect.
- 48:55Speaker 3: Penn State's obviously expect the national championships, But again, you
- 49:01Speaker 3: gotta make the playoff here. If you're James Franklin, I
- 49:04Speaker 3: think he has to get to the playoff.
- 49:08Speaker 1: So that being said, I don't disagree with you. And
- 49:10Speaker 1: the other thing I like Hiri is they've got a
- 49:12Speaker 1: new offensive coordinator coming in here I can call a nikky.
- 49:15Speaker 1: He was at Kansas and so there could be some
- 49:18Speaker 1: new wrinkles to this offense that we haven't seen the
- 49:20Speaker 1: last couple of years. And I'll be really interested to
- 49:23Speaker 1: see what if I get to read more of that
- 49:25Speaker 1: when they start getting into camp and you start getting
- 49:27Speaker 1: some notes to see how this offense is gonna change.
- 49:29Speaker 1: I didn't get a chance to watch either spring game
- 49:31Speaker 1: or not, and so I'll be really interested to see
- 49:33Speaker 1: how that's gonna roll. But now I agree with you,
- 49:35Speaker 1: and I think Penn State could be one of those teams. Again,
- 49:38Speaker 1: if you're trying to build a portfolio getting ready to
- 49:40Speaker 1: hedge when you're for the twelve team tournament, you can
- 49:43Speaker 1: get some pretty long odds on Penn State to win
- 49:45Speaker 1: the thing where you could look to be betting the
- 49:47Speaker 1: other side in game one, depending on who they're gonna play,
- 49:50Speaker 1: because if they do go nine to three or they
- 49:52Speaker 1: do go ten to two, they're gonna be hosting Opening
- 49:54Speaker 1: Weekend and travel in the Happy Valley. Can you imagine
- 49:57Speaker 1: Boise traveling the Happy Valley to have to either opening
- 50:00Speaker 1: game or something like that. I mean, that'd be a rough,
- 50:03Speaker 1: rough venue to get into. But at the same time,
- 50:06Speaker 1: you could get up like a Penn State. You could
- 50:08Speaker 1: get a Penn State Alabama game in opening weekend, which
- 50:12Speaker 1: how awesome would that be?
- 50:14Speaker 2: Oh? Absolutely tremendous. I mean, can you imagine. I mean,
- 50:18Speaker 2: how great that'd be?
- 50:19Speaker 1: All right, shot, I'm skipping Perdue. Rutgers is the only
- 50:22Speaker 1: thing I'm gonna mention is I like this team. They
- 50:25Speaker 1: bring in Athon calliac Manus from Minnesota. I like everything
- 50:29Speaker 1: about Crick Ciano and the fact that this team gets
- 50:32Speaker 1: overlooked all the time. It played physical, it played above
- 50:34Speaker 1: its head last year. I look to play on this
- 50:37Speaker 1: team as much as possible this season, but I don't
- 50:40Speaker 1: have a good overall read. I think this team's gonna
- 50:42Speaker 1: get to a bowl, and that would be my bet.
- 50:45Speaker 3: I think this team's getting to a ball Love this schedule.
- 50:47Speaker 3: You talk about dodging the best teams in the league,
- 50:50Speaker 3: candidly the best team and the Big Ten that they're
- 50:54Speaker 3: going to play. Honestly, who I think the best team
- 50:57Speaker 3: on their schedule is is a non conference game at
- 51:00Speaker 3: Virginia Tech. The next best team they plays at USC.
- 51:04Speaker 3: I think USC is the best team. That's the best team.
- 51:07Speaker 3: They skip Penn State, they skip Oregon, they skip Ohio State,
- 51:10Speaker 3: and they skip Michigan. That is a gigantic gift if
- 51:14Speaker 3: you are a Rutgers fan and an over underwin total.
- 51:18Speaker 2: If this team's ever gonna do something. This is the year.
- 51:20Speaker 2: This team's got a chance to win seven eight games.
- 51:22Speaker 1: I totally agree with you, and that's why I said
- 51:24Speaker 1: I'll be on Rutgers quite a bit. I mean, I'm
- 51:26Speaker 1: looking forward to watching them play every week because I
- 51:29Speaker 1: know nobody else is gonna be watching the eleven o'clock
- 51:32Speaker 1: game kickoff in Piscataway. I'll be watching that in the
- 51:34Speaker 1: Iowa game every week. But anyway, moving on, got two
- 51:37Speaker 1: teams from Los Angeles. As we know if you watch
- 51:39Speaker 1: the Desahn Foster news conference, one of them is UCLA,
- 51:42Speaker 1: the other one's USC UCLA. I'm gonna sum this up
- 51:46Speaker 1: to you real quick. This team is gonna be bad, bad,
- 51:49Speaker 1: bad bad. Ethan Garbers is going to start a quarterback
- 51:52Speaker 1: for this squad. He's not mobile, pretty one dimensional. And
- 51:55Speaker 1: what they've got from this standpoint, they do bring back
- 51:58Speaker 1: some talent, couple starters here and there, But this team, Bro,
- 52:03Speaker 1: I'm so under on this team. It's unpossible for me
- 52:06Speaker 1: to explain to you how under I am on this team.
- 52:10Speaker 3: Oh, They're gonna be. There's no reason for me to
- 52:14Speaker 3: lament this. This is a mass this is a disaster.
- 52:17Speaker 3: It's a guy that's over his head, will will get rolling.
- 52:22Speaker 3: You know that's the Let's move on to SC They're
- 52:25Speaker 3: a lot more fun to talk about. I think you,
- 52:27Speaker 3: like I said this, this experiment is gonna end in disaster.
- 52:32Speaker 1: UCLA's under over Underwind totals five and a half. The
- 52:36Speaker 1: under is shaded to minus one ninety in some books. Bro,
- 52:40Speaker 1: that's like betting the No. Four No. Ten. You're laying
- 52:42Speaker 1: two to get one in case you're trying to figure
- 52:43Speaker 1: that one out. USC Trojans, Lincoln Riley, fascinating, Miller Malls
- 52:51Speaker 1: is gonna start at quarterback. They almost reboot the entire offense.
- 52:54Speaker 1: Defensively is where this team has struggled Offensively. I think
- 52:57Speaker 1: they're gonna be fine. Everything I've read from what got
- 53:00Speaker 1: out there, I think this team's still going to be
- 53:02Speaker 1: a solid effort. I like in Week one against LSU
- 53:05Speaker 1: getting six and a half, looking for a seven if
- 53:07Speaker 1: I can find one. Also think that game probably goes
- 53:09Speaker 1: over the total. But really where you're gonna dig into
- 53:11Speaker 1: this team to see if they can handle everything as defensively?
- 53:14Speaker 1: Do you think this defensive is proved because they got
- 53:16Speaker 1: rid of Grinch and they brought in a new quarterback.
- 53:19Speaker 1: I don't know much about their new defensive coordinator, but
- 53:22Speaker 1: if this team can figure out somehow to put a
- 53:24Speaker 1: defense together, I think they've got a chance to finish
- 53:25Speaker 1: in the top four in this league.
- 53:28Speaker 3: And you know, I mean, look, they brought in a
- 53:32Speaker 3: really young football coach, and I think that is you know,
- 53:38Speaker 3: you know, his dad's Anthony Lynn from NFL. So man,
- 53:44Speaker 3: I have no idea how this experiment is going to
- 53:46Speaker 3: work on defense.
- 53:48Speaker 2: I will tell you two things.
- 53:49Speaker 3: I think quarterback is fascinating to me, and this is
- 53:52Speaker 3: a quarterback driven offense. Last year, everybody had just assumes
- 53:58Speaker 3: they're going to go way down production because because of
- 54:02Speaker 3: the change, and they lost obviously Else Williams, who's first
- 54:05Speaker 3: picking the draft. They just he didn't play within this offense.
- 54:08Speaker 3: He made tons of mistakes. He didn't take what was
- 54:10Speaker 3: given to him, he didn't check down, he didn't take
- 54:13Speaker 3: He made a lot of mistakes.
- 54:14Speaker 2: Miller Moss comes in in the bowl game and.
- 54:16Speaker 3: Looks like everybody expected this offense to look last year,
- 54:20Speaker 3: and they played great. I think he had six touchdowns,
- 54:23Speaker 3: played absolutely fabulous. Does he play within the offense and
- 54:27Speaker 3: he's great. I can't wait to sympath. Then they bring
- 54:30Speaker 3: in Jaden Mavia, the kid who was the freshman at
- 54:33Speaker 3: UNLV last year. What do they do with that guy?
- 54:36Speaker 3: Because that guy's electric and so you're like, I mean,
- 54:39Speaker 3: if this is a guy who gets as much out
- 54:41Speaker 3: of quarterbacks and Lincoln Riley as you can physically get
- 54:44Speaker 3: fascinated to watch, But I also question how good this
- 54:48Speaker 3: team really is. I loved Euquavius Marks. He is a
- 54:52Speaker 3: great kid. He played his ass off for Mississippi State
- 54:56Speaker 3: and in a lot of games with all he had.
- 54:58Speaker 3: At one point last year, that kid's hamstring was torn
- 55:01Speaker 3: up so bad that he had literally a band around
- 55:06Speaker 3: his leg to help him pull it back.
- 55:10Speaker 2: So he could still play.
- 55:13Speaker 3: You don't get tougher than that. And you want me
- 55:16Speaker 3: on board with you? You be that kind of damn
- 55:18Speaker 3: warrior people talk about being warriors.
- 55:21Speaker 2: That's a warrior getting out there. Hope.
- 55:23Speaker 3: This kid's great, but at the end of the day,
- 55:25Speaker 3: he's just not that high end of a back as
- 55:29Speaker 3: much as he's carried the football. And I can't like
- 55:32Speaker 3: this kid anymore than I do, and I mean that,
- 55:35Speaker 3: but I don't think he's a high end and up
- 55:37Speaker 3: back for those guys to compete at a high level.
- 55:39Speaker 3: Mix in on their defensive side. They bring us to
- 55:42Speaker 3: Carlos Nicholson Fromsissippi State as well. When you're taking multiple
- 55:45Speaker 3: Mississippi State transfers and they're starting s c's not where
- 55:48Speaker 3: they need to be at a talent point. That's not
- 55:51Speaker 3: a shot on either one of these kids, because I
- 55:53Speaker 3: think Nicholson's a I think he's an NFL guy. But
- 55:56Speaker 3: you're talking about guys that you know that.
- 56:00Speaker 2: That I don't that.
- 56:01Speaker 3: I don't know, I don't know if SC's where it
- 56:04Speaker 3: needs to be, and you mixed in a thirty four
- 56:06Speaker 3: year old young coordinator.
- 56:08Speaker 2: Let's see.
- 56:09Speaker 3: I mean, now, look, we've also seen coaches with their
- 56:11Speaker 3: dads that are really good too, so I mean, you know,
- 56:14Speaker 3: he may be fabulous because because Lynn is Anthony, Lynn
- 56:16Speaker 3: is a great defensive football coach, so it's it's not
- 56:19Speaker 3: a shadow him against age.
- 56:20Speaker 2: Some of these guys are so young.
- 56:22Speaker 3: But the game's coming a lot faster too, So uh,
- 56:26Speaker 3: I'm just interested to see what the defense is going
- 56:28Speaker 3: to do.
- 56:28Speaker 2: They're talented, but uh, I'm interested to see what they do.
- 56:31Speaker 3: Although I think Moss, if he plays within the system
- 56:35Speaker 3: the way he did and does what's aska and they
- 56:38Speaker 3: got a chance to be great.
- 56:38Speaker 1: I see, this is where I was gonna go with this,
- 56:40Speaker 1: because I really felt last year watching Caleb Williams play,
- 56:44Speaker 1: you know, having a Heisman trophy in his pocket, number
- 56:48Speaker 1: one pick little Prima, Donna ish h little, But it
- 56:53Speaker 1: was like you're watching backyard football. Man. It was just
- 56:56Speaker 1: snap it and go, And I mean it's just it
- 56:58Speaker 1: was weird running around.
- 56:59Speaker 2: I mean so I and you could tell every time
- 57:01Speaker 2: you watched him, you could.
- 57:02Speaker 3: Tell Lincoln Riley super frustrated with the decision making he's making.
- 57:06Speaker 1: And so I think he kind of thought he was
- 57:08Speaker 1: like Brett Farve in his prime and could just he
- 57:10Speaker 1: could outrun or out throw anything. And so I look
- 57:13Speaker 1: to see if he can get Mitch, if he can
- 57:15Speaker 1: get Moss to play within the offense like the quarterbacks
- 57:18Speaker 1: that he had at Oklahoma, and he can go and
- 57:22Speaker 1: if he can, I think this team can put up
- 57:24Speaker 1: a shit ton of points. And so Zach Ryan Branch,
- 57:27Speaker 1: that guy is a difference maker on special teams and
- 57:30Speaker 1: out wide. And so, like I said, Game one, LSU
- 57:34Speaker 1: over sixty two, I've already bet it. I've got plus
- 57:37Speaker 1: six and a half in pocket ready to roll out
- 57:39Speaker 1: there to elite stadium week one, and then they play
- 57:42Speaker 1: at at Michigan week three, and so you're gonna know
- 57:45Speaker 1: pretty quick what we're gonna get out of this USC
- 57:47Speaker 1: team because this is a difficult schedule, and if they
- 57:51Speaker 1: can somehow manage to play defense and control some trench,
- 57:54Speaker 1: this could be an interesting surprise team. I've got him
- 57:56Speaker 1: rated my number four team in the Big Ten.
- 57:59Speaker 3: Yeah, like I said, I'm interested to see how they do.
- 58:01Speaker 3: And again I'm interested to see how they use the
- 58:04Speaker 3: transfer to see come in run some wildcat and short yardage,
- 58:09Speaker 3: you know, some things like that. I mean, the kid's electric,
- 58:12Speaker 3: So I mean again, Lincoln Riley is a is a
- 58:15Speaker 3: genius as an offensive mind, and you can't you can't
- 58:19Speaker 3: limit that. And what did Mike Leech always have with
- 58:22Speaker 3: his best offenses a guy who played within the offense,
- 58:27Speaker 3: and that I think is critical for him as well.
- 58:30Speaker 3: Lincoln Riley gets a guy who will play within the
- 58:32Speaker 3: offense and they may hang up some big numbers, especially
- 58:35Speaker 3: when you guys who can come in in short yardage
- 58:38Speaker 3: and fourth downs and things like that and do some
- 58:40Speaker 3: things from a from an athleticism standpoint, that Moss may
- 58:43Speaker 3: not can do so again, I'm like you, I'm fascinated.
- 58:46Speaker 2: To watch his team. We should find out early.
- 58:48Speaker 3: I like this team a lot, as I talked about
- 58:51Speaker 3: briefly against LSU. So I'm excited about excited about this
- 58:56Speaker 3: team to see where it goes.
- 58:58Speaker 1: Washington team that made it to the National Championship last year.
- 59:01Speaker 1: We had some chips on them. Brings in a new
- 59:03Speaker 1: head coach and Jed Fish transfer. He comes in from
- 59:05Speaker 1: Arizona where he had great success last season last two seasons,
- 59:09Speaker 1: really did a good job there. This is a hard
- 59:12Speaker 1: reboot for this squad, though, Bro. They do not bring
- 59:14Speaker 1: back a whole lot of reps on their too deep
- 59:17Speaker 1: in this offense. And so I look at this team
- 59:20Speaker 1: that went fourteen and one last year with the over
- 59:22Speaker 1: under win total currently slated at six and a half.
- 59:26Speaker 1: That's a hard fall. I mean, that's like a TCU
- 59:28Speaker 1: fall after they got their.
- 59:29Speaker 3: Hair, and they're gonna be lucky to get hit.
- 59:31Speaker 2: Mark.
- 59:31Speaker 1: I agree with you. And as much as I like
- 59:33Speaker 1: Washington as a program, their schedule is not set up
- 59:37Speaker 1: to be I mean, their schedule is not terrible, but
- 59:39Speaker 1: it's rough. And I mean cause you know, they're gonna
- 59:41Speaker 1: get all you can get out of Washington State week three,
- 59:45Speaker 1: even though that team's kind of through there, and so
- 59:46Speaker 1: the first part of their schedule I think's manageable. The
- 59:48Speaker 1: at Rutgers game, Holy ding Dong. That's a long road trip.
- 59:52Speaker 1: You're basically gonna have to fly for Canada to get there.
- 59:54Speaker 1: But once you get into the meat of the Big Ten,
- 59:56Speaker 1: it's gonna be a struggle for the squad.
- 59:59Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree with the I think they take a
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: big step back.
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: Look, Fish was not They were not very good at Oregon,
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: I mean at Arizona his first season. I don't think
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: they're going to be that bad, certainly because there's too
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: many guys who have played too many snaps on this
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: on this team.
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: But it's a whole new group of guys. I mean
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: they have, I think they have. I believe I read
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: it was forty six first year players. I believe that's right.
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: So it's a it's a huge number of guys. This
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: is their first year. Will Rogers takes over at quarterback.
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: I'll be honest, I'm interested to see how that fip goes.
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: I don't know that he's athletic enough for them to
- 1:00:36Speaker 3: do remotely what they were doing.
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: You've got a cop, You've got a couple.
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: Of famous NFL guys whose kids are coordinators, So Pete
- 1:00:45Speaker 3: Carroll and Belichick's kid who coordinators, so fascinated, fascinated to
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: see what's going to go on with this team. Will
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: Rodgers want to say this too, cheering for that guy.
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: Just as much as.
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: He gave all he had, Mississippi State's problems last year
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: were certainly not a result of Will Rodgers.
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: There were more a result of him getting hurt.
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: But that kid staying when he knew he was a
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: bad fit was a gut check kind of deal, and
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: I candidly he should have transferred for his own benefit,
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: but loved the university and wanted to stay and loved
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: his teammates. Good for that kid. Hope he has a
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: huge year in this offense. I know that that's going
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: to happen.
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: Do we know if Steve Belichick, if Stephen Belichick is
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: still rocking that like eighty style mullet with the hair
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: comb front down in the front.
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: There, I do not, but man, I hope so. Can
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: you imagine what that would look like it was just
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: a headset on? I mean it would be. He's so awesome.
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: Hey, don't overlook that guy. Man. He took some shitty
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: New England Patriot teams with some defenses in like they
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: leaned on him. I mean, way beast, Tom Brady be gone.
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: He's a good defensive mind. I like the guy, and
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: he's weird as hell. I mean, I think he coaches
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: with a fat dip in and typically his tongue out,
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: which I can get down with. On that last team
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: I want to talk about, Wisconsin Badgers. This team, to
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: me is so con using. They bring in Luke Fickle,
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: he takes this job, finally got a chance to step
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: up and get back into the Big Ten. They bring
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: in long Ago is the offensive coordinator, and they're gonna
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: run this moderated air raid system. They did not have
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: their roster to run it at all last year, and
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: it was just kind of a mess all season long. Defensively,
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: this team couldn't quite figure out the direction they wanted
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: to go. They finished up seven and six. I've got
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: this team as a mid tier team in the Big Ten.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: I'm curious to see if they can even run this offense.
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: It looks like Tyler Van Dyke is going to be
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: the starting quarterback. Bryden Locks the backup there. I don't
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: think Mordecai is there anymore. I think he may have
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: graduated and moved on in their third string quarterbacks a
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: kid that went to our high school. And the only
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: reason I know Tyler Van Dyke's gonna be the QB
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: is because I ran into the kid a couple of
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: weeks ago and he told me they named Van Dyke
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: the quarterback coming out of spring and Van Dyke I
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: think last year at Miami it was obvious there was
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: something wrong there and he just couldn't get it rolling
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: in what was going on. I mean, he took a
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: step back. But I you know, they've Chez Malucy comes back,
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: Tywee Walker comes back offensive line, They've bring a couple
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: of starters back. I just can't figure out if this
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: is a good fit for what Wisconsin wants to do.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: I think their schedule is actually I mean, they got
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: Alabama at USC and then it kind of nails up
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: at Penn State Oregon. You know, so their schedule sets
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: up to me like this is a seven and five,
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: six and sixteen.
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: Yeah, that trip for Bama up there is gonna be
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: a fascinating game. I think they're gonna drill them, but
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: I think that is gonna be a fascinating game.
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: They'll be all zoosed up for that ball game. I'm
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: with you.
- 1:03:38Speaker 3: I think this is the middle of the road team
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: like Fickle, But you know, I think I think it's
- 1:03:45Speaker 3: still a time a little bit of time on the conversion.
- 1:03:48Speaker 3: I do think Van Dyke in this situation has a chance.
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: I'm not a huge feel long ago guy, but you know,
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: I think I'm in the minority on that around the country.
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: But I think Van Dyke is I think he's got you.
- 1:04:00Speaker 3: If he's remotely anything what he was like as a freshman,
- 1:04:03Speaker 3: he's got a chance.
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: To be really good.
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: He got really bad under under Crystal Ball both years,
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: so I think as a you know, I think that
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: hadn't worked out well for him.
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: I'll be honest.
- 1:04:13Speaker 3: I was surprised to see Van Dyke not go to
- 1:04:15Speaker 3: Duke after the success he had playing under manny Ds
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: as a freshman.
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: So I was kind of surprised by that.
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: Clearly, Wisconsin is a better, better school, better position, probably
- 1:04:27Speaker 3: has got better talent around him than Duke was gonna have.
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: But with that success level, I am kind of surprised
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: he didn't go there.
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: Uh, what are your plays? Do you have any in
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: pocket plays?
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: So I do. I am look.
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: I said on Michigan that now with that number dropping
- 1:04:45Speaker 3: eight and a half, I think the over is the
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: right Uh is the right play on them?
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: Now.
- 1:04:51Speaker 3: I am also looking over on Rutgers. I like those guys.
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: Uh.
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: I think that team's gonna gonna win some ball games.
- 1:04:59Speaker 3: I like is over seven and a half. I think
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: that team's got an outside shot at the playoffs.
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: I do too.
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: We talked about their schedule, So those are the teams
- 1:05:07Speaker 3: I'm selling on UCLA. I think under at five and
- 1:05:10Speaker 3: a half is the way on those guys. So all
- 1:05:12Speaker 3: of those things are things that I'm I'm looking at.
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: You know, I think Rutgers is a seven to eight
- 1:05:17Speaker 3: win football team.
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: I'm over on Rutgers. I've got an Iowa ticket, Like
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: I said, I split between the Natty and the other
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: one to kind of hedge myself. I've got an Ohio
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: State ticket and an Oregon ticket both to beget in
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: the tournament and win the Natty on that one. And
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: I am going to add a bet as we get
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: off of this DraftKings Game of the Year line September fourteenth.
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: I am going to be taking Alabama minus nine against Wisconsin.
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: I like that.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: I think I'm gonna go ahead and get down on
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: that and put that game in. So that's kind of
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: where I am on the big ten right now.
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: I'm all right, Well, if you're if you're gonna do that,
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: I'll give you.
- 1:05:57Speaker 3: I'll give you two more on that line. If we're
- 1:05:59Speaker 3: going to well these are early. Texas is week two.
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: Right, Texas is Week two. They're minus three and a
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: half at Michigan. I would win.
- 1:06:07Speaker 3: I'll go I'll go ahead and lay that out there.
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: I'll lay three and a half for them at Michigan.
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: I think they win that.
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: So yeah, i'd put those two in and uh, we'll
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: get ready to rock and roll on this one. I'll
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: tell you what, man, I am excited about football season
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: coming up. I'm kind of excited about a couple of
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: these money line parlays we might be able to get
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: involved in early in the season. I'll give you one
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: other play. Coastal Carolina under I did a hard dive
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: on this team the other night, and uh, I think
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: with grats and mccallby and gone, and you know you're
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: the second year of the new coaching staff. I think
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: this team's gonna be really bad. U get you at
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: Coastal Carolina under their win total, which I think is
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: six and a half or seven somewhere in there. That's
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: all I got, brother, You got anything else?
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: Man, That's all I got. Just excited. We'll be back
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: next week. What's more? What's some more lines? Baby?
