- 0:20some joy. Into the.
- 0:21World. So welcome to the coop and let's
- 0:23start your day off in a fantastic way.
- 0:27Hey everybody, good morning. I want to tell you a story about
- 0:31something that happened this weekend.
- 0:32So I had the house power washed and it's a necessary item.
- 0:37Just have to do it here. It's just a necessary thing that
- 0:39must take place here once a year, sometimes more.
- 0:44It needs to be power washed. So this past weekend we had
- 0:48arranged for it. Guy comes out.
- 0:51But mind you, this past weekend, everyone else in the house was
- 0:54hiking. I was not.
- 0:57Mark left and Lucas was with him and I was here by myself, just
- 1:02me and the dogs and all the other animals.
- 1:05And they were far. They were like deep in the
- 1:09woods. They went way, way up in the
- 1:11Smoky Mountains hiking and no signal, no way to contact them
- 1:17for four days, which was great for them.
- 1:19And it was great for me because I could just do whatever I
- 1:22wanted. So of course I was like, OK, I
- 1:26had grandiose plans to get way more done than I thought I even
- 1:31could do myself. But I did it because I really
- 1:34wanted to see how much I could get done, push myself a little
- 1:37bit in the fun stuff. And I'm not talking about work
- 1:40stuff. I'm talking gardening, all my
- 1:42gardening stuff. But one of the things I love to
- 1:44do is clean. As you all know, to me, that's
- 1:47like a really great thing to do. So the power washer guy comes
- 1:51now it happens that he shows up here on Friday and Friday
- 1:55happens to be a rainy day. So I'm like, okay, it's, it's
- 2:00drizzly, but it's not pouring. And then Saturday turns out to
- 2:05be a pouring day, like pouring, pouring rain all day long, which
- 2:09was fine. I was in, I went to the garden
- 2:11center. I did other things.
- 2:13I had a big fat list of random stuff that could happen.
- 2:17So Sunday it turns out like, OK, I'm, I could do whatever I
- 2:22wanted. But on Saturday, here's the
- 2:25fascinating thing. I it later in the day it stops
- 2:29raining. It's probably like around 3/30,
- 2:324:00 and the house had just been power washed so I wanted to go
- 2:36and start taking rags and wiping down the railings on the porches
- 2:41and wiping other things down to make sure that everything was
- 2:44like super clean. This is just my jam.
- 2:47I know most people wouldn't do it but I did and and this is how
- 2:51it paid off this time. So I'm out, I'm going around
- 2:54wiping things off and I hear I get over to where we have a
- 3:00whole house generator. And you know, when you live in
- 3:03the South you need to have one in my opinion, because you never
- 3:06know when there's going to be a hurricane.
- 3:08So you want a whole house generator.
- 3:09So here I am and I'm wiping it off and I hear this ever so
- 3:15slight weird sound and I'm like what is that?
- 3:19And I am like investigating it because it's not running.
- 3:21It doesn't run unless it's a has a problem and it tests itself
- 3:25once a week. And it did its test on Friday.
- 3:27And I only know that because it scared the crap out of me
- 3:29because I was sitting in the window near it when it went off
- 3:32and I was like oh what was that? And so I know I knew for a fact
- 3:35it had happened. So I could hear this weird sound
- 3:39and I was like, huh. And I get down and next to a
- 3:42pipe, I can see this little tiny bit where the connections come
- 3:46in from the propane line up to it where there's this ever so
- 3:50slight bubbling. And I'm like, oh, there's a
- 3:52leak. And I could hear it like ever so
- 3:56slightly. So I was like, uh oh, what do I
- 3:59do? So I mean, the huge blessing
- 4:02that it is it here it is, it's Saturday, it's late in the day.
- 4:06It's like now, I don't know, 5-6 o'clock.
- 4:08It's probably even later than that.
- 4:10Actually, I think it was a little bit later than that.
- 4:12And the sun was like setting, but it wasn't dark.
- 4:16And so I'm like in my, my immediate reaction was, oh, no,
- 4:22Oh no. But then I stopped and I was
- 4:24like, oh, wow, Lucas is working for this plumber that also does
- 4:27gas. And so I was like, Oh my gosh.
- 4:30And he doesn't live far from us. And I texted him and I said,
- 4:33hey, I'm hearing the sound from this pipe.
- 4:36What should I do? And in less than 30 seconds, he
- 4:40messages me back and he said, shoot, shoot a video and send it
- 4:43to me right now. So I shot a video, I sent it to
- 4:45him, and he's like on my way. No hesitation, nothing on my
- 4:50way. And he showed up here and he's
- 4:54like, no, it's he gets out of the truck.
- 4:56He's like, no, it's not that. It's not bad.
- 4:58It's ever so slight. It could have turned into
- 5:00something bad, but it's not bad. Someone probably when the guy
- 5:04was power washing, he maybe he touched it, kicked it by
- 5:07accident, didn't realize that he's like those connections can
- 5:10be delicate. It's and he went over and he
- 5:13checked and he's like, no, it's tight, but it was ever so
- 5:15slightly off. And that can make it happen.
- 5:18And he's like, how did you even hear that?
- 5:20And I was, we were laughing about the fact that it happened
- 5:23because it was cleaning. So here's the funny part about
- 5:27this story. One, it's like, listen, my
- 5:30obsessive cleaning thing finally did something really well out in
- 5:34the world safety wise other than just making me happy.
- 5:37And 2nd, what kind of customer service is that?
- 5:40That he would come and just take care of it.
- 5:42And I said, I appreciate you doing that.
- 5:44And I'm sure it was because of Lucas.
- 5:45He said, no, I just take care of my people like that.
- 5:48And I just thought to myself, wow, I, it just reaffirms how
- 5:52great it feels on the other side.
- 5:55I take care of my people like that.
- 5:56But you know what, it's so great when someone else takes care of
- 6:00you like that. So if you have a business,
- 6:02consider how you can make people feel that way.
- 6:04Because he has a raving fan in me now and I will never leave
- 6:08him. So I mean, moral of the story,
- 6:12take care of your clients and don't make them feel like they
- 6:16have to wait for you because that's the worst thing in the
- 6:18whole world and it is not outstanding customer service.
- 6:22All right, my friends, I hope you have a blessed day and I
- 6:24will see you tomorrow. Bye.
