- 0:00The similar or him day of the Mog reviewer Salaam Alaikum
- 0:03Warahmatullah Ricardo, if you've missed us, we're back.
- 0:08By popular demand, the 22 I'd say learning hosts are back.
- 0:17And if you've missed us, please let us know in the comments.
- 0:19And I'm joined by none other than my partner in crime,
- 0:22Hussein. Yeah, yeah.
- 0:23How are you, my brother? To see how was your 10 nights of
- 0:35morning? Where we pray, then shall
- 0:37everything was accepted and all as I changes us.
- 0:43Who we join with? We are joined by our dear
- 0:47mentor, our dear brother, Sayed Ali Harawi.
- 0:51Habibi alaikum Salah Muhammad Allah brother.
- 0:54Kazum brother. Yeah, yeah, it's good to be in
- 0:56your presence. No, no.
- 0:58Last time when you were here with Ahmed, I got jealous, you
- 1:01know. But now it's now it's my turn.
- 1:02Hamdullah. How Your brother's?
- 1:03Doing it's our honour, honour our honour.
- 1:06Haram being Haram's been good. Hamdullah was busy as always.
- 1:13I think in the benefit of being in London, we're spoiled for
- 1:17choices in the amount of programs and the amount of
- 1:20centres that we can attend and inshallah we made made use of
- 1:24them. How was?
- 1:25How was your? How was?
- 1:26Shalom Hamdallah, I've made the you know, this year we were
- 1:30Speaking of it downstairs a bit earlier on.
- 1:31I was like, this year was a bit different because I'm, I've
- 1:34attended many majorities of Hamdallah been between the
- 1:37English language and the Arabic language, going with the family,
- 1:40spending time with the children, focused this Muharram as well,
- 1:44putting the kids in Milwaukee, getting them involved and given
- 1:47out and service and everything. So it's been a nice, it's been
- 1:52Muharram with the family. If I can, if I can put it from
- 1:54that sense. So it's been beautiful.
- 1:56We've been blessed and these majalis are a blessing.
- 1:59And if we don't attend them, we're missing out.
- 2:00And the beauty of it all is that you mentioned, you know, there's
- 2:03been so many majalises. The other day I was speaking to
- 2:07Sheikh Andrew and we counted 2020 Majoris or like a three
- 2:13mile radius in northwest London. So so we were like, if you don't
- 2:18go to a Majoris, there's a problem.
- 2:21I'm the lot, the opportunities are there and platforms like
- 2:23this aftermath for those who don't have a community nearby,
- 2:26who don't have, you know, Imam Barger Hassani near to them
- 2:29Charlotte platforms like this is what helps them feel like they
- 2:32are part of the Majoris. And if you are and Sha Allah
- 2:34wanting to take part in our recent campaign partners at
- 2:37Khedema, you can find out more by visiting after muslim.com/yah
- 2:41Hussain where you can support the podcast, allow us to sustain
- 2:45the studio space on a monthly basis.
- 2:47So please make the intention, tell your friends, tell your
- 2:49family and Sha Allah would love to have you all involved.
- 2:52Now Brothers, am I asking questions today or you asking
- 2:56questions to me? Or is this a proper
- 2:58conversation? I think today is a probable.
- 3:01Conversation we're talking about.
- 3:03We haven't. We talked a a lot, a little
- 3:06about a lot and we talked a little in general like.
- 3:10I'm scared and it's like, look after them, be nice to them and
- 3:13everything. I was like, bro, yeah, I'm like
- 3:15that bad, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 3:18I I think let's kick start the conversation here.
- 3:22You know, Hamdullah, we've had the opportunity to attend
- 3:24Majalis and I think since, you know, little children growing
- 3:28up, this is a part and part of our life.
- 3:30And if we look back and handle, I'm 34 now.
- 3:35And if I look back over the last, let's say from 15 onwards,
- 3:40what have I gained? What have I learned?
- 3:42And especially if I reflect in these last 10 nights before I
- 3:46answer something I want to ask you guys like over the last 10
- 3:48nights from attending Majalis or taking part in the cadmium or
- 3:52you know, being involved with the community, serving the
- 3:54community, listening to the lectures.
- 3:56What have we gained? What have what have we really
- 3:58gained over the last 10 minutes? OK, Charla, I think I was
- 4:03mentioning to you downstairs that I almost made a conscious
- 4:06effort to actually not attend the lectures.
- 4:10And I say this because I feel like sometimes when we
- 4:14accumulate knowledge and I'm speaking myself primarily, OK,
- 4:18this knowledge almost becomes a burden on us or becomes for me.
- 4:22I've realised that my technical knowledge or the things that I
- 4:25know is so far away from my actions and I'm like, what's the
- 4:30point of me learning more and it becoming a burden on myself
- 4:34because now I have this understanding that I'm not
- 4:37fulfilling. You know, it's like me going to
- 4:40the gym and like without even any thought of progressive
- 4:43overload, like starting on a weight that's way too high for
- 4:46me. So I thought maybe this year was
- 4:49a good start, like to make that conscious decision to almost, if
- 4:53my knowledge is here and my, my soul and my heart is here, than
- 4:57to try and build this up before this goes anywhere, you know,
- 5:01But so yeah, I, I guess it's been a bit more active in trying
- 5:06to just attend the Mciva. I've volunted a few, not too
- 5:10much, but inshallah the very little spark that Imam Hossein
- 5:15can give me or that I can take from the the message of Imam
- 5:19Hossein will be able to shall allow me to increase.
- 5:22But what do you think about that?
- 5:24Do you think that's a fair way of going about these majorities
- 5:27or do you think that the the importance of knowledge is just
- 5:31too high for me to? I don't disagree with you, but I
- 5:35would never say personally that I wouldn't attend a measure list
- 5:40because measures at the same time, as much as we're trying to
- 5:44learn, but we're trying to, you know, reflect of what the
- 5:47speaker is saying, taking that knowledge, living that knowledge
- 5:52throughout our lives and things like at the same time, there's
- 5:54as a like on the personal level, I do not want to miss on that.
- 5:57Like from my perspective, you know, I had this compass.
- 6:00Subhanallah, it's nice you rang this up before Muharram.
- 6:03I had the conversation with a brother who has not attended any
- 6:07measures in the last 10 nights and I was shocked with what he
- 6:11was telling me. He told me he's, he's in his
- 6:15early 30s, but he was like, in the last 30 years of my life,
- 6:19I've attended Majalis, but I haven't personified what I've
- 6:24learned. Right.
- 6:25So it was an interesting thing. So it was like, I'd rather be at
- 6:27home, listen to the lecture online and reflect of where I am
- 6:31today. I, I encouraged him to go to the
- 6:33pasenia, of course. So I didn't see him maybe
- 6:37attended different centres, but I was, that was my first time
- 6:39hearing it. And now you're mentioning
- 6:41something similar. It's like it's, it's, it's good
- 6:44to think that way because number one is tadabor and it's
- 6:46reflection. And if we don't reflect and hold
- 6:49ourselves accountable, are we really, you know, in line with
- 6:52the teachings of the debate? If we look at Imam al Kaabam
- 6:55Alayhi Salaam, he says the one who doesn't reflect, it's not
- 6:58from us. And we say we are Hosseini, we
- 7:02are Shi'i, we are lovers of the Alibeit Ali Mussalam.
- 7:06What have we learnt from them? And just on this point, if I can
- 7:08mention before I come to you, Kazem or Khaz, however you want
- 7:13me to mention your name today inshallah.
- 7:15But I thought about something very interesting when I was
- 7:21having that convoy with that brother, why he said to me
- 7:26shocked, because some things I'm not going to mention on the
- 7:28podcast, why he said to me shocked me.
- 7:30Then I realised, you know what, there is some truth to what
- 7:32you're saying. Because if we're going to the
- 7:34Medulis, if we are attending every night for the last 30
- 7:40years of our lives and inshallah for the next 50 years of our
- 7:43lives, we, we will never leave these Hosseini programs and
- 7:47Hosseini Magalis and events and things like that.
- 7:49We live, we live by them, and I think we can't live without
- 7:52them. If I'm honest, I, Shia in
- 7:55particular, we can't live without them.
- 7:56It's what shapes us and what drives us, what motivates us to
- 7:59stay on the straight path. But one thing I said to him in
- 8:03return was that there are many people who go to surf without
- 8:09wanting to learn. They just want to surf.
- 8:11It's not a bad thing. But if you're going to call
- 8:13yourself a Khadim, a servant of your Muhammad Hussein and you go
- 8:17home and you're not good with your wife, you're not good with
- 8:21your children, you're cheating in the workplace, you're lying.
- 8:25Whether you're selling or buying good, whoever it is, just
- 8:28because you're serving your mum Hussein doesn't mean you know
- 8:31life is good. No, no, there is a specific
- 8:35character and traits that we learn from the Adelaide Bait in
- 8:38particular, mum has seen, especially over the last 10
- 8:41nights. If we've gone to the most and
- 8:43we've gone back to square 1 as soon as the ten nights are over,
- 8:46what have we achieved? Well, that we have to reflect
- 8:48because a servant and a lover of Imam Al Hussain, his eyes
- 8:53doesn't see Haram, his ears doesn't listen to Haram, his
- 8:56tongue doesn't speak Haram, his heart doesn't drive him towards
- 9:00Haram. And that's something I think I
- 9:02should reflect on as well. And when I'm saying this, I'm
- 9:04talking to myself, Charla, all service of Imam Al Hussain
- 9:08because talk to us. I think honestly say it.
- 9:13I have an experience that will very much back up what you've
- 9:15just said. So this Muharram for me has been
- 9:18very different to any other Muharram I've ever had.
- 9:22Because usually I'm in London for Muharram and I have, you
- 9:26know, the standard route, you know, everyone has Alakwar
- 9:29somewhere in the route, everyone has, you know, like the Watford
- 9:31program somewhere and maybe another centre, local centre to
- 9:34them in the beginning. I.
- 9:35Managed to attend one night the Watford in the.
- 9:37Watford. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 9:38Love. Blessing.
- 9:39Me. Honestly, it's been amazing this
- 9:41year. Did you?
- 9:42Stay for I. Did.
- 9:46No. Have you got the time?
- 9:47I apartheid in the bottom, but I didn't know that was not
- 9:50happening on the bottom. I was walking out and then it
- 9:52started like and I stayed and I observed.
- 9:54Yeah, beautiful. Yeah, it's it's really nice and
- 9:56special. But usually I have that routine
- 9:59right. And for example, one much less
- 10:02will be for me to sit down, enjoy the lecture, the hazard
- 10:06diary and then and the one lecture what 1 programme might
- 10:10be I'll be, you know, because I know the community very well.
- 10:12I'll serve in that. Yeah.
- 10:14But this year I was in Birmingham because I was giving
- 10:17the talks for their youth in the Shia Centre in Birmingham.
- 10:21Yeah, beautiful. And I loved it.
- 10:25Yeah, the community there's fantastic.
- 10:27The youth there are buzzing. Like it's a very lively, vibrant
- 10:29community. And actually I was learning more
- 10:33than I'd ever learned in any other Maharan.
- 10:34Why? Because when you're preparing a
- 10:36talk, you actually learn so much more than when you're just
- 10:38receiving a talk because you're through so much of the recent
- 10:41And the first 3-4 nights I was just there.
- 10:44But while I felt a gap, like I felt some emptiness in my heart.
- 10:48Yeah, I was like, why? I'm doing.
- 10:51I like, you know, shortly I'm serving with Hulus and you know,
- 10:54I'm doing this for ABI Abdullah and I'm learning at the same
- 10:57time. I feel good about this.
- 11:00But I realized it's because in this service, I'm not shedding
- 11:05my own tears. You know, I'm not doing my own
- 11:07Azhar. I'm preparing the talk, my talk.
- 11:10We had Sheikh Mahada Waspandru in the Birmingham in the in the
- 11:13gents. My talk was same time as his, so
- 11:16I never got it. Of course you can catch up on
- 11:17the live stream, but it's not the same.
- 11:19I never got that talk. I never got his Masai Eban.
- 11:21At the end I was like, this must be the gap, this must be why I'm
- 11:25feeling like this. So I was searching, OK, once I
- 11:29finish this talk, where can I go for me to cry, for me to
- 11:34experience some of the vibe of Muharram?
- 11:36And I thought Watford is the only one, and I just changed to
- 11:39an electric car and the one that was the worst timing.
- 11:41Yeah. Because Birmingham, too often it
- 11:43kills you. Yeah.
- 11:44Yeah. So.
- 11:46But I said, you know, I have to have to because since I started
- 11:50going and I, I felt so much better.
- 11:52I felt like Muharram was actually working on me.
- 11:55You know, I feel like it's less yeah here about learning than it
- 11:58is about actually the transformation that comes with
- 12:01Azhar itself. Because however much I learnt, I
- 12:04would say that I felt Muharram when I was crying.
- 12:07I don't know if that's wrong, if, if, if maybe it's a bit of
- 12:11of course, knowledge has its place.
- 12:13But I feel anyway that that I felt the effects and the
- 12:19spiritual effect, the transformation within myself,
- 12:21the reflection, the when I went home and I thought about the
- 12:24Museeba and the, you know, with these dry eyes, that's when I
- 12:28felt good, you know? Yeah, for six hours on the car
- 12:31to reflect every day. I swear, bro.
- 12:33Sir More in London daily. So from fifth night to 10th
- 12:37night every day. Or maybe I missed one I'll rate.
- 12:40You that drive? Yeah.
- 12:41Yes, it's not What? Drove you.
- 12:45No, it's beautiful man you you mentioned that keyword
- 12:48transformation sufficient if we if we talk about about Abdullah
- 12:51Hussein Ali Salaam and the journey towards school fire
- 12:55eventually the tragedy, the battle in Karbala, the whole
- 12:58point was transformation, trying to transform the ummah back to
- 13:01the teachings of Rasulallah Sallallahu alaihiwali wasallam.
- 13:05And just a point to mention to add to what you were saying was
- 13:09the people that went to war with the Bah Abdullah, they read
- 13:12Quran, they were praying Salah right?
- 13:16They were claiming to be Muslim, yet they took their swords
- 13:20against the very grandson of Rasulullah Sallallallahu Alaihi,
- 13:24which makes your question, Yani, if we're praying, we're reciting
- 13:28Quran, but our heart is not in the right place.
- 13:30What are we doing? Honestly, what are we doing?
- 13:32Yani? That's that's a shame.
- 13:34One less a shame. And if we go just I just want to
- 13:37stay in this point a bit longer that if we go to the Majalis and
- 13:40we don't come out praying on time or we don't come out
- 13:44improving the our understanding and our matter affair with the
- 13:47Quran, with Imam Sahab al Hafi, with Zaman, with the reasons
- 13:50that we fast, with the reasons why we're here, not just fairing
- 13:54the Hellfire and all having yearning for gender.
- 13:56Like there's certain things that need to happen within us for us
- 14:00to become better Muslims. At the end of the day, even if
- 14:04we one time someone said, you know, how do I become a better
- 14:08Muslim? And I was like, you need to
- 14:10imagine that someone is asking you about the religion.
- 14:14If you watch clips online, for example, I'm not, I don't want
- 14:17to promote speakers corner or something, but similar to that
- 14:21field, what do people watch when they want to learn about Islam?
- 14:24They either go speakers corner, they write certain influencer
- 14:27names or things. They come across content where
- 14:31if you realise the way those who are giving that away, the way
- 14:34they converse and speak, they try to speak with the best of a
- 14:37Slack, right? They try to speak with the best
- 14:39of manner. They try to give you analogies,
- 14:41examples. They speak in a way where it's
- 14:44digestible to you. There's reasoning, there's
- 14:46things like that, right? But why are they doing that?
- 14:49Because they're trying to represent their religion in the
- 14:51very best way possible. And if we think about that, that
- 14:55representation, people who want to learn about Islam, especially
- 14:59people who want to look at Shia Islam, they're going to look at
- 15:02you. You, myself, others out there,
- 15:06the way we present the religion, we are representing not just
- 15:10Allah, but also Allah, because they've never opened the Quran,
- 15:14they've never met the prophet. We haven't met the prophet but
- 15:17we inshallah on this understand his rasallah and the message
- 15:21that he he brought to this religion.
- 15:23So if we can't present or promote Rasul Allah, the Ehlu
- 15:29bait, the Quran, Allah, Azza Wajal, Islam and it's and it's
- 15:33society, there's something there's something happening
- 15:36that's wrong. And I don't want to say we're
- 15:38hypocrites, but maybe we are. Especially, especially if your
- 15:43actions are supposed to be a manifestation of your beliefs.
- 15:46And that's the scary thing is that sometimes like, sorry, I
- 15:49don't want to interject, but you mentioned like you were
- 15:52preparing to give a talk in Birmingham, right?
- 15:57And I'm, and I'm, and I'm pretty certain when you are preparing,
- 16:01maybe when you were taking notes or trying to memorize a verse or
- 16:05a hadith or something, you probably thought, am I there?
- 16:09You know how much conversations I've had here?
- 16:10And Ahmed knows this and sometimes I speak about it to
- 16:14him and I tell him, OK, we just spoke about this, but what about
- 16:17us? Like, are we there?
- 16:19And if we're promoting something, if we're saying
- 16:22something, it's our heart there. Are we there?
- 16:25That's the scary bit. Like you can tell people or
- 16:28advise people or speak on behalf of the religion or for example,
- 16:33promote the religion. And he's, when I'm saying what
- 16:37scholars or anything. But the moment there's a
- 16:40microphone, there's people tuning in, watching, listening
- 16:43all all over around the world, there is a responsibility.
- 16:45And we have to live up to that responsibility.
- 16:48And it's not just talk, it's action.
- 16:50Yeah, sorry. Back to your point.
- 16:51Yeah, I'm. You know what, even even within
- 16:54this Mahara, Yeah, the imposter syndrome I felt was crazy one
- 16:58like, yeah, but like, 'cause who am I to to even tell these kids
- 17:02anything, do you know what I mean?
- 17:04Yeah, but you're right. Like if you're given a platform,
- 17:07you have to use it for the best of bet, the best you can.
- 17:10Yeah, sure, I'll. Ask and if you like this
- 17:12platform, if you like the Aftermathclub platform, please
- 17:14let us know in the comments and become partner and by visiting
- 17:18aftermathclub.com/yeah Hussain. I'm going to use every
- 17:21opportunity I can to plug this new campaign because it's vital,
- 17:24man. It's important, Hamdullah and
- 17:26I'm and I, I think we need to share like myself, Ahmed, we
- 17:31should share with you the amount of messages that come in to
- 17:34Aftermathclub and how people use this platform to not just become
- 17:41better Muslims, but to have an understanding of what Shia Islam
- 17:45is. When I say there is a huge
- 17:49audience who are not Shia, they're shocking.
- 17:52We are a Shia Muslim podcast, but there are those who are not
- 17:55Shia who TuneIn and listen in and we clarify misconception.
- 18:00We give clarity to something they've been raised and brought
- 18:04up to believe true to be a lie and stuff like that.
- 18:08So it was important. Like if, if we know the the
- 18:11effect that platforms like Arthur Markle has on the outside
- 18:16world, we'd want to become better ourself.
- 18:18And when I read those messages and when they come in and I
- 18:22think, bro, if, if we're having this sort of effect, is it
- 18:26affecting me as well, is what I'm saying?
- 18:28Am I implementing this at home? You know, sometimes I can speak
- 18:32so much, sorry. Sometimes I go home and my wife
- 18:35says she told me once, Oh, you said this.
- 18:37I saw this clip. Someone's one of her friends
- 18:40shares something that I must have said.
- 18:42And then she was like, Are you sure about that?
- 18:45I'm like hanging up sometimes I'm like, I'm sure of why I said
- 18:49and I can have proven that in that in that area.
- 18:51But it's it's, it's, it's reality and it's a mirror.
- 18:55It's a reflection. Anyway, I've spoken so much,
- 18:57sorry. I have one more question for
- 18:58you, John. So you mentioned you've been
- 19:00listening to Majalis, so let's say for the last 20 years.
- 19:03Yeah. I'm curious on how the message
- 19:06of Imam Hussein has evolved in your understanding over the over
- 19:11that period. Like did he mean something to
- 19:14you that has changed? Have you taken different things
- 19:17from it at time of? That's a solid question.
- 19:20A very big question no one's asked me.
- 19:21That before I should have gone along.
- 19:24If I can be frank, I haven't given it that much for, but
- 19:29what's come to my mind right now is that why?
- 19:32What have what I have understood, especially over the
- 19:35last four to five years, is Imam Hussein's mission in Karbala,
- 19:40right? Normally it's what led to
- 19:43Karbala, the tragedy, the Musiba and every, every, everything
- 19:47that took place is a Musiba. You, you can't get out of the
- 19:50Aza in the mourning period. But there was more to it was
- 19:54there was a godly mission behind it.
- 19:57And the one thing that I can take from what I've learnt is
- 20:00that he stood for Haqq. He knew what Haq was and he died
- 20:06for Haq no matter like what came toward him because he knew like
- 20:11religion reached a period of time where we're so corrupted.
- 20:17As I said earlier on, people were praying and recite the
- 20:22Quran, yet the swords were against the very grandson of the
- 20:25Holy Prophet, peace be upon him. But to him it was the Haqq like
- 20:31the truth and no, no matter what and he you will live by the
- 20:35truth. You promote the truth you and
- 20:38you die on truth. Can we say that?
- 20:41Can I say I don't know Charlotte, we can, but can we
- 20:45like if you think about the entire mission, it was a was
- 20:48based on hack, the truth and the Quran tells us like Farah Hapi
- 20:53Kari Horn like and he's chatting about the Muslims, right that
- 20:57the majority of them don't even like the truth and I'll handle
- 21:00are we shit? We say we are on hack, but will
- 21:04we die on hack? And that's a reflection.
- 21:06I and I think that's really played played hard on me.
- 21:09Is that what is hack? What is this truth?
- 21:11You know, we always talk about Ali on my hack when hack on my
- 21:16Ali. These are something we know
- 21:18inside out. What does truth mean?
- 21:21I'll ask you the same question. I think obviously shall I get a
- 21:27few more years of this understanding, but one thing I
- 21:30was thinking about was like Karbala for many of us is like
- 21:35our North Star, right? And I think there's like a few
- 21:37different reasons that I was thinking as why that may be why
- 21:40it becomes almost the centre of the universe of this, not even
- 21:43the Shia universe. And I think the there are two
- 21:46main reasons why I think that. One is obviously the theological
- 21:49like sacrifice that Imam Hussain gave because it's interesting
- 21:53because we have so much love for these people because of the
- 21:56quality of their blood, of their sacrifice, despite outside of
- 22:01Karbala, we don't, I think for myself, we don't know too much
- 22:04about these individuals outside of the sacrifice and the mission
- 22:08within Karbala. So like, the fact that it had
- 22:12that much theological weight and theological importance as a
- 22:14result of the lineage of the Prophet and the the albeit it
- 22:18shows you just how special and how incredible like the weight
- 22:22of these characters were and also the amount of love that has
- 22:26moved us hundreds of years onwards.
- 22:29And like the things that happen in the name of Mount Hussain is
- 22:32incredible. Yeah.
- 22:33And I think the other reason why that is, is because there's a
- 22:36story in Karbala for everyone. You know, you have so many
- 22:40different examples where almost the height of every relationship
- 22:44comes together and then every interaction that we have is
- 22:48almost like a lower manifestation of these like
- 22:51archetypes of these stories of these examples.
- 22:53You know, whether it's horror returning, whether it's the the,
- 22:56the love between Imam Hussein and Hazard Abbas or.
- 23:00Husband, wife, husband, father, father, father, son, brothers,
- 23:03cousins and I think. Even like to like to great life.
- 23:08I thought, you know, in the middle of a war, like everything
- 23:11there's is just like an incredible, it's like it
- 23:15couldn't be written any better. You know, like if, if you, if
- 23:17you would, you know what I'm trying to say like a an author
- 23:19couldn't have scripted anything better.
- 23:21Yeah, yeah, it's you. Know like I think it's just like
- 23:25this incredible, but. Sheikh Shikhar was Jaffer
- 23:28actually made the point he was like sometimes to to get maybe
- 23:34some of the speakers make a mistake or but to get an
- 23:36audience to cry. They might add some details in
- 23:41that maybe aren't in the original Mokhtar and this and
- 23:44that. But Sheikh Wasjafra was very he
- 23:47made the very good point and I was like, the Mostiba is so
- 23:50great that you don't actually need to add anything in.
- 23:53Do you know what I mean? There's nothing that you can add
- 23:55that makes it any worse, that makes it any more painful and
- 23:58more tragic that the original is the most painful it can ever be.
- 24:02Like nothing can increase it. Like there was that 11 poet.
- 24:06The his line always sat with me that it's not strange for
- 24:10someone to die thirsty in a desert, but it's very strange
- 24:14for someone to die thirsty next to a river.
- 24:16You know what I mean? It's to plan.
- 24:18A law. It's very strange for someone to
- 24:20die thirsty next to a river. And so these these exactly the
- 24:25way it's been scripted by our last Pahala, by our Lord, is to
- 24:29show the epitome of of eulogy of trials and tribulations.
- 24:34And how one can, you know, overcome every shackle and every
- 24:38kind of chain, not have any fear of death, not have any fear of
- 24:41losing their loved ones, not have any fear of their
- 24:43reputation and just be a free, you know.
- 24:48Well, Karbala is, you know, there's just the way you said
- 24:53that. You don't need to add anything
- 24:54to it. You don't need to add the
- 24:55tragedy itself as some must leave.
- 24:58And if you, if you, if you think about it, even the way Salaam
- 25:02Alayh, the Imam, Imam Hussein was killed, it wasn't the normal
- 25:06death, Yani. It wasn't like someone shot an
- 25:10arrow and that was it. No, there was hundreds of
- 25:13arrows, Yani. It's like when you read a blab
- 25:16in Makatil, the maktal of Imam Hussain, Salaam Allah Alayhi.
- 25:21It's I don't want to mention it because these are some things we
- 25:25leave for the Knights leading up to the 10th of Muharram and the
- 25:29day of Aishwarya itself. But would you believe that when
- 25:33you open up the muktel and you read Shimmer Anatullahi Allah
- 25:36when he comes to the body of Imam Hussain, while Imam Hussain
- 25:41is gasping for air, is what it says in the muktel, he kicks him
- 25:47Galli that, that is a tragedy. Allah al Haveen, you don't need
- 25:50to kill ABBA Abdullah. Just the very fact you do that
- 25:53action to the son of Fatima Zahra, to the to, to the very
- 25:58man Rasul Allah, said Hussein and Mini or Anam and Hussein
- 26:02Wallah is a tragedy. Knowing those facts.
- 26:05Himself and he Imam Hussein, he tells him, do you know who am I?
- 26:09Not the the grants. He goes, I know you are the son
- 26:11of Fatima. I know who you are.
- 26:13Yeah. He goes on to do this.
- 26:14And something very scary. I think if I just go back to the
- 26:18very beginning of our conversation when we were like,
- 26:20we go to the majlis and we walk out and nothing's changed.
- 26:24Omara bin Saad, he knew who Imam Al Hussain was fully even until
- 26:32the eve, the night before the 10th of Muharram, he tried to
- 26:36get out of and he didn't also want to be involved because he
- 26:40knows. But what led him to do what he
- 26:42done? What's this love for this dunya?
- 26:45He wanted that land. Like it's like if, if we're not
- 26:49careful as much because Omar bin Saad cried as what?
- 26:52By the way, read the Mccartan Omar bin Saad cried for Imam Al
- 26:57Hussein in Karbala. The very man who told Shimmer to
- 27:03go and finish the Imam of Salaam Alayan was crying himself.
- 27:07And that's get well. And you think about it.
- 27:09If I Add all these things down, they cried for Imam Al Hussain.
- 27:12They prayed on on the day of Ashura.
- 27:15They were reciting Quran, they were reciting Adan.
- 27:19The men who came with horror, they prayed behind the Imam al
- 27:23Hussain. Yet these same people killed
- 27:25Imam Al Hussain. It's crazy.
- 27:29He's just you. Know we do this to a much
- 27:31obviously level every time that we sin, despite praying, despite
- 27:35reading the Quran, despite crying for Hussein.
- 27:38Like what separates? Yeah.
- 27:40Are we any different? No, that's a that's a very good
- 27:42thing. They.
- 27:43Were not They were not able to because I think all intellects
- 27:46point back to the path of ABI Abdullah.
- 27:49But Amila Mamini has a saying come in Akalin, Assir and Amir.
- 27:54How many intellects are held captive under a reigning desire,
- 27:59meaning chains are hell holding intellects captive that all of
- 28:03these chains that they had, all of these desires and this love
- 28:06of this world that they had, we're not allowing them to see
- 28:09the truth. And we have to think that, you
- 28:11know, sometimes in our own life, OK, a short life, ABI Abdullah
- 28:16was there. We say that, oh, Imam, if you
- 28:18were there would have been with you.
- 28:20We have to think that maybe our chains are different to their
- 28:22chains. Our chains could be anything but
- 28:26the words of the Imam, that these chains blind the
- 28:28intellect. They they, they silence your
- 28:31your intellectual voice telling you what is right, what is
- 28:33wrong. Salaam Allah Al Hussain, you
- 28:37know, bringing the whole tragedy to, to current day life to the
- 28:42events we see around the world to from our leaders to our
- 28:49scholars, the similarities that they face.
- 28:56And sometimes we compare them to events we read about and know
- 29:00about when it comes to Karbala or the Messiah and the tragedy
- 29:03similar that of the Ehrlbait Alaihm Salaam I there's there's
- 29:07something I need to mention. And that is when we look at
- 29:11those who represent our method, the Jeffrey School of four, the
- 29:15school of Ehrlbait, there is certain traits and
- 29:18characteristics that they have that prove to us that we can die
- 29:25on that same path. And if we look at the recent
- 29:29war, the US war, the recent, the recent Israel, US war against
- 29:33the Iran, for example, if we talk about the latest, say it.
- 29:37What does he remind you of? If I can just ask like what,
- 29:42what does he remind you of? What was he standing against?
- 29:46What was he fighting against? What was he defending?
- 29:50What was he? If I mention, for example,
- 29:54tyranny, oppression, truth, falsehood, what do you remember?
- 29:59I was saying, and I think, you know, it is something I felt is
- 30:08that through him, through Sayed and, and seeing how he was his
- 30:14Akhlaq, his love, the way that he treated like the, the sons of
- 30:19the Shahada, the daughter, the shahada, the daughters of.
- 30:23And then I'm seeing the, the love he has and the Akhlaq he
- 30:25has and I'm like, well, I love him so much Now.
- 30:29Imagine how incredible my Imam must be, you know, that he is a
- 30:33shadow in the, in the in, in, in the awaited 1, you know, like
- 30:38it's like what kind of character will the Imam have that I fell
- 30:41in love with someone infallible, you know, but I think he was
- 30:47special and I think you see that the love that the people had for
- 30:50him, you know, you've seen the crowds.
- 30:53It's incredible. It's.
- 30:55Incredible it is and a shock, you know, just to mention that
- 30:58just this thing about the you know, firstly made Allah bless
- 31:02his soul and elevate his ranks. Just this thing about the the
- 31:06numbers of the crowds, which is I think if I'm not mistaken,
- 31:10like reading all the headlines and coming across all the
- 31:12journalists notes, you have broken world records when it
- 31:16comes to funerals. And we're talking about an
- 31:18excess of 14 million people as of today.
- 31:22Our data of recording, they say, as Janaz has only just landed in
- 31:26the holy city of Najaf. So the procession by time it
- 31:28releases, I think it's returned back to the holy city of
- 31:32Mashhad. But where we stand as of today,
- 31:34we're talking about just in Iran who have come out between Tehran
- 31:37and home, 14 million people mourning.
- 31:42And, you know, when they mourn our scholars, they don't just
- 31:46mourn. No, they, they, they, they
- 31:49chant, Hey, Hartman Abdullah, they chant Le Beke al Hussain.
- 31:53They beat their chest remembering the tragedies of
- 31:56Irmar Qusay. And that's the beauty that we
- 31:57have, you know, is that whatever we go through, we always go back
- 32:03to the elevate. You know, I, I've, I've
- 32:04mentioned this a few times on the podcast, especially I think
- 32:08seasons 1 and season 2 when my late father passed away.
- 32:13May Allah to protect your parents for you.
- 32:18It was really tough. I was 15.
- 32:21It was so tough. But what got me through was the
- 32:24Muslim of a Helen Beit. One likes to say, OK, this is
- 32:27painful. One likes to hurt the void, the
- 32:30void of not having your father like in the same living room
- 32:34come into your bedroom or you know, leaving going to school
- 32:37without saying bye and things like this.
- 32:39But they used to hurt. But I used to remember, for
- 32:40example, Karbala. I was like, there's no
- 32:43comparison whatsoever. And these things, they help us
- 32:47and as much as we mourn our leaders, our scholars, people
- 32:50who represent the medhab and things like this, at the at the
- 32:53end of the day, it takes us back to the Adelaide Ali Musalam and
- 32:58it reminds us that where we have a duty and and to make we are
- 33:00living during the occultation of Sahab al after was the man me
- 33:03Allah hastens reappearance. I just want to.
- 33:05Make a point there. Sorry for interrupting.
- 33:08Like the Alhabet, like they are there for us as Shia, but
- 33:13they're not limited to us as Shia.
- 33:14And I think what I saw as the funeral was the fact that his
- 33:18ability to be able to have so many people across non
- 33:23religious, non hijab wearing, non Shia, but still had so much
- 33:27love for him because of the characteristics of the Alhabet
- 33:30that he embodied. You know, like the majority of
- 33:33people, they may not have been practicing, but they had such,
- 33:35such love to flood the streets for him, I think is incredible.
- 33:39And in terms of leadership, right, I don't think you've seen
- 33:44or we've seen an ideology that has this much love for the
- 33:48leaders, you know, very much in our Western democratic systems
- 33:53because they're elected on, on, on criticism always, you know,
- 33:56because there's always an opposition.
- 33:58They're never adored. They're never loved.
- 34:00They're never, you know, but you see our leaders and we're
- 34:04willing to give everything for them.
- 34:06But. Our leaders, they don't die a
- 34:08natural death, you know, and and that's the beauty behind it is
- 34:12that this, this they are blessed with Shahada.
- 34:15And you know, Shahada is, is the blessing from the last final.
- 34:19It's a status and a rank that's sure surpasses anything.
- 34:25And when it comes to where you are and the hereafter, the
- 34:29position that if you die, you know, you're still alive and
- 34:32you're still receiving risk of sustenance from a lost one or
- 34:35Tahala. And that that is something I
- 34:37think the world doesn't understand.
- 34:39And Inshallah, we can understand what what that means and allows
- 34:42us to build a matter affair with Imam and Mehdi Ajalata Allah for
- 34:46Ajaz Sharif, that maybe one day who knows that his return
- 34:49happens during our lifetime. And if it does, will we be
- 34:53there? You know, we talk about 313, how
- 34:57many social media profiles I've seen of 313 ya Mehdi tattoos, Ya
- 35:02Mehdi 3 bro, let's be real. Are we, are we ready for the
- 35:06Imam? I don't know if I'm going to
- 35:08take the conversation there, but if I can ask you now, if Imam
- 35:11and Mehdi came right now and he sat here amongst us 3 where are
- 35:16we? Where are we?
- 35:20Well, where are we? If I look in the last 24 hours,
- 35:24did I do anything that please the Imam and lady?
- 35:27I don't know. OK, we don't the obligatory acts
- 35:30and whatnot, but what did we do to please Sahaba as there was a
- 35:32man, our mum sees us, he hears us, he's alive, he's breathing,
- 35:39we can talk to him. He listens to us.
- 35:42We send our salams to him. He says well, Ali Kumar Salaam
- 35:45to us, right? But what did we do to please
- 35:47him? What did we do to build marathon
- 35:49with him? What did we do to hasten his
- 35:51reappearance? Charla, we can all do some
- 35:55active in the bar. Yeah, and I know that's a
- 35:58discussion for another day, but it's a good reflection to have
- 36:01him. This Muharram, actually one of
- 36:03my biggest takeaways was that in preparation for the Imam monkey,
- 36:08the actor that we speak about, I never got the respected like I
- 36:11got this Muharram which was there was a speaker who spoke a
- 36:16lot about becoming motar for the Imam, right?
- 36:19Like, you know how you say, like becoming absolutely hopeless and
- 36:25desperate for the Holy Imam? And I think that that is
- 36:30something that I lack myself in terms of.
- 36:33I've never thought about it in such a way that, OK, I can
- 36:36prepare myself. But one of the fundamental
- 36:39things is I need to see Hazrat Imam as the solution.
- 36:43I need to see him as the solution to all my problems.
- 36:46If I think that the Imam will come to help me and to, you
- 36:51know, possibly bring peace to, to the world and everything.
- 36:54OK, But is that going to put me in a state of desperation?
- 36:59Is that going to, you know what I mean?
- 37:00I think sometimes we limit the role of the Imam to something of
- 37:03a peacemaker of the world, right?
- 37:05Maybe I'm speaking for myself in my head.
- 37:08Sometimes I do that. I simplify his role to a
- 37:10peacemaker of the world. OK, this conflict will stop and
- 37:13that's it. But actually if you if you see
- 37:16in the hadith how much mercy and the Rahman love, there will be
- 37:19like it, it has an effect on you that you become desperate for
- 37:22these things. You become desperate for that
- 37:23kind of love to spread all around the world.
- 37:26I think that's something that we miss, you know, becoming needy
- 37:28for the Holy Imam. Shala, we earn it, we earn that
- 37:31day, but Shala we, we live by it and not just wanting it to
- 37:36happen, no actively working towards preparing the ground for
- 37:41his return. But it starts here, man, starts
- 37:46here, starts with the matter of yeah, we've had, you know, I'll
- 37:49encourage all our viewers to go back to 15 Shaban last year.
- 37:53But we had, I think it was a 2 hour episode to say that
- 37:56Muhammad Baker Kazwini, we spoke about IMAP sahab.
- 37:59Alas, it was Zaman and bro, it was a reality check.
- 38:04You know, after the episode, I remember the saying it was like,
- 38:06oh, how was the episode? I was like, I thought, I don't
- 38:09know what I need to restart my life.
- 38:12My whole life needs to, you know, start from scratch.
- 38:14And please listen to that episode.
- 38:16If you know people questioning the Imam, if you know people who
- 38:19don't understand the Imam's role was our duty during the
- 38:23occultation, please give that episode a listen.
- 38:25Last year, 15 Shaban Hussein Hamid Bhakti Kazwini, give a
- 38:29listen, share it with your friends, share it with your
- 38:31family. And the year prior to that as
- 38:33well, we had the conversation with Said Ali Khali also
- 38:36regarding Imam Sahmid Asim Zaman.
- 38:38Don't miss those two episodes. These are two episodes.
- 38:41Wallah, if, if, if it doesn't allow you to understand the Imam
- 38:44a bit better, at least you have any doubts or anything in your
- 38:47mind. There's clarity towards it.
- 38:49And clarity is very important. And we look today, God forbid
- 38:55we, we have a fall trapped to this stuff.
- 38:57We look today, a lot of people question where is the Imam?
- 39:01Why is he not here now with all that we see happening around the
- 39:05world? But if we have marathon clarity,
- 39:08we knows, we we know what our role is.
- 39:10And if we want the amount to be here, there's a specific thing
- 39:13we need to do on ourselves in Charlotte to hasten his
- 39:17reappearance and to allow bad justice to take over injustice.
- 39:24That's like ultimately that's that's, that's that's our goal.
- 39:26We're living in Akhra Zaman and people always ask this very
- 39:30question. Are we in the end of times like
- 39:32how many times have you heard this?
- 39:34Or maybe we've asked it, are we akhar Zaman?
- 39:36You know if we are living during the occultation and we are in
- 39:40Akharil Zaman but how long that last?
- 39:43That's only the element of Allah spawn or what's Allah?
- 39:45Any lost words brothers? You want to share about anything
- 39:49before? I should say it.
- 39:52So these words of yours, they remind me of a of a story
- 39:55actually that I heard in in Muharram and it start with me a
- 39:58lot. So, as you all know, Bahrain.
- 40:02Is a country of majority Shia population, but the government
- 40:06is not Shia, It's a Sunni government.
- 40:10And there was a time, I think when the Sonia rulers, one of
- 40:19the Sunni rulers, he had a kind of tricky play.
- 40:21This is a true story. Yeah, he had a tricky played
- 40:25where he had a pomegranate and he would put some kind of device
- 40:29in the baby pomegranate and some ink so that when the pomegranate
- 40:33grew, it would grow with this transcription inside of it.
- 40:37And the transcription was LA Allah, Allah, Muhammad Rasallah,
- 40:40Al Awkhar, Omar Othman Ali Khalafa.
- 40:42Allah. Yeah.
- 40:43OK, So therefore for for Khalafa and Allah and the Holy Prophet
- 40:48as the messengers. And so this minister of the
- 40:53Sunni government took it to the ruler of the time and he said we
- 40:57have this proof from a last Mantala miracle against the Shia
- 41:01as a proof that we are on the right Sierra, the right mob hub.
- 41:06And the ruler was like, wow, this is incredible.
- 41:10Like that last Mantala has given you this hodja, this proof
- 41:12against them. And so I said, OK, we're going
- 41:16to take this to them, the Shii clerics, we're going to give
- 41:19them some options. Those Archibismilla, they went,
- 41:23they met the Shii scholars and they said we had give you 3
- 41:26options. Well, now that you've seen this
- 41:28proof, either you convert to Sunni Islam or you agree to pay
- 41:35the tax that is given to Kufar. We declare you Kufar and you
- 41:39agree to pay the tax. Interesting.
- 41:41If you don't accept this tax, then we'll kill you.
- 41:42Yeah. So these are your three options
- 41:45because this is a proof for us and now we know that you're on
- 41:47the wrong path. So the sheet is close.
- 41:50Like, wow, how did they get this pomegranate that says all these
- 41:53things? I don't want to say, OK, give us
- 41:56three days. They told this minister, give us
- 41:58three days. They're like, yo, we are
- 42:02finished. Yeah.
- 42:03We don't know how this has happened.
- 42:05No one can explain how this has happened.
- 42:07Our only hope is in Imam Zaman. He's the only hope.
- 42:12If there's any argument against them, it's going to be with him
- 42:17and the minister. By the before he agreed.
- 42:20OK, you have three days. If in three days you can't
- 42:22provide an argument, then you have to choose from these
- 42:24options. It's OK.
- 42:25So they went back to the houses and they agreed that we'll send
- 42:30a scholar in under the open sky in the middle of the night to do
- 42:34the Amal, to meet Saheb al Austria Zaman and get some
- 42:37advice from him and ask for his help.
- 42:40So they sent on the first night a scholar.
- 42:41He went into the open sky in the middle of the night, did the
- 42:44Amal. He's waiting.
- 42:46The sun starts to come up. He fails.
- 42:48He doesn't. He's not able to meet the Imam.
- 42:49He returns back. They asked him, did you meet
- 42:52him? No, I didn't.
- 42:53That's OK. Second night they send another
- 42:56scholar. OK, you Sheikh, you go and do
- 42:58the Amal, see if you can get some advice.
- 43:01So he goes, there's the same thing under the open sky again,
- 43:03doesn't meet the Holy Imam. Then on the third night, they
- 43:06send another Sheikh. Sheikh, you go and do the same.
- 43:09Amal, you have to get it right this time.
- 43:11This is our last chance. Tomorrow morning we're meeting
- 43:13the minister. So the Sheikh goes and he says
- 43:16that in the desert in the distance, I saw a light coming
- 43:19towards me and the light approached me and said I am
- 43:23Makiya Tullah. I am the Imam.
- 43:27And the Sheikh was like, we have this problem.
- 43:30The imam was like, I already know the problem.
- 43:32For the last three nights, people have been talking to me
- 43:34about this problem. You should go to the minister's
- 43:37house. And next to the minister's
- 43:39house, you'll see all of these kind of traps and these kind of
- 43:42inks and engravings. And like that you show it to the
- 43:44ruler, he'll be he'll, he'll believe you guys.
- 43:47He'll, you know, you'll have clocked the deception.
- 43:50So they went, they did that. The ruler was like, OK, wow, but
- 43:53the point of the story is not that.
- 43:54The point of the story is that why did the Imam only answer on
- 43:58the third night? So he asked the Imam, Imam,
- 44:01you've heard my other two friends that have asked you, why
- 44:04only are you answering me? The Imam replied, why did you
- 44:07ask for three nights? If you had asked for one, you
- 44:11would have been so desperate on the first night I would have
- 44:12come. But you asked for three nights,
- 44:15and only on this night were you so desperate that you needed me
- 44:17to come. So the beauty in the story is
- 44:20this that you have to like really be desperate.
- 44:24You know, that's what that mom is saying that if you don't ask
- 44:27for one hour to come on the first night, like it's funny in
- 44:29the city in the one way that we maybe we're we're over
- 44:32complicating it. Maybe it's as simple as really
- 44:34needing him say. Like you mean it say.
- 44:37Like you mean it exactly. Yeah.
- 44:38Oh, that's beautiful, man. That's a nice story.
- 44:41Thanks for sharing it. Because it makes us also wonder,
- 44:44like for example, we may if we don't ask for one night, three
- 44:46nights, we may be delaying the return without knowing.
- 44:49Yeah, it's a nice, so nice story that you shared.
- 44:53This is something I'm going to look into because, bro, that's
- 44:57something that's mad, honestly is mad.
- 45:00Because if you're telling me like that, your mom answered him
- 45:03in that specific way. There is so much lesson just to
- 45:06learn from this, this brief story.
- 45:07Inshallah. Yeah, Yeah.
- 45:10I think the story reminded me that if you truly sometimes the
- 45:18if you actually want to change something, you have to realise
- 45:21that you have no power over it and to kind of surrender.
- 45:26And then maybe then you know, you realise that you're nothing
- 45:30without without a lion and the widow of a lion and the
- 45:35intercession of Imos. So then, shallow we have that
- 45:38intercession I. Hope I don't get mocked for my
- 45:40storytelling skills. I love Rob, I didn't drag it out
- 45:43too long. I'm sure the comments of that
- 45:45what did the kids in Birmingham thing Yeah, how how was your
- 45:48reception in. Birmingham yeah, I didn't want
- 45:50to oversimplify as well because I have to change the way I say,
- 45:52you know, I'm not telling it to like 10 to 15 year old so I have
- 45:55to simplify it. I.
- 45:57Got $1,000,000 question. I know we're coming to the end
- 46:00but however I do want to ask Irvine the 40th of Imam and
- 46:03Hussain. It's not too far away.
- 46:06Is there an intention to be there this year?
- 46:08There's intention every year. It's whether the Imam will
- 46:12accept my Hajjah to be there. I really wish Inshallah to be
- 46:17there. Inshallah and if I ask you why
- 46:22should we go if someone's listening now, why should I go
- 46:26to Karbala? Why should I visit the shrine of
- 46:28Imam Hussain and why the 40th of Imam Hussain?
- 46:32What would you say to Who's the? Who's the demographic?
- 46:34Who's listening? Give me a.
- 46:37I'm listening. I'm listening because I'm
- 46:39hoping, you know, we've got fellow brothers, woman and
- 46:42woman. That's when Charlotte on this
- 46:43journey together. If.
- 46:45If no other reason, yeah. If there's no if you don't want
- 46:48to go into the specific recommendations about the 40th
- 46:52being the exact thing. If for no other reason, then
- 46:55this has naturally become the reply of Labek to that call of
- 47:00ABI Abdullah Helman Nursery and Surani.
- 47:02Is there anyone left to help me? This has somehow become the
- 47:05Labek to that call. And I think that you see in the
- 47:09numbers how much people there's a beauty in in the numbers.
- 47:14You know what I mean? Of course, there's a beauty
- 47:15offseason also and the quiet and the spirituality.
- 47:18But I think Arbena special. Special Hamdullah.
- 47:21I've had the opportunity to go. I think, you know, I was
- 47:24counting the other day 10 years Al Hamdullah and it's, it's
- 47:28something that I would never imagine not being there.
- 47:33Then shall I have the opportunity to go this year?
- 47:35Also like a the paradox in some ways, you know, like.
- 47:38Oh, it's home. We're.
- 47:39We're in a culture whereby we take, yeah, that's the culture
- 47:43where they give despite not having what what do they, what
- 47:46do they have to give? And they give everything that
- 47:47they have. Yeah, this is a a well view that
- 47:49we haven't realise it's possible for the rest of the world.
- 47:53We think that this is the status quo and this is an exception.
- 47:56Who said that? This can't be The Who said that
- 47:58can't be the status quo and the way that we live is unnatural.
- 48:01So I think to experience that is.
- 48:04And it's beautiful because I, I really encourage inshallah our
- 48:07viewers to make the attention at your book and don't go alone.
- 48:10Take your family man, take encourage your friends as well.
- 48:13Go together because over there you meet people like yourself,
- 48:17you well, like you, you realise this like there's, there's like
- 48:21a movement, this Husseini movement that's similar to what
- 48:23you said. It's like, imagine people
- 48:25walking into a slab. Alasiwa Zaman, like inshallah,
- 48:28when he reappears and you make a call, are we going to walk as
- 48:31well? You know, recently just I keep
- 48:33adding things to the convo, but there was a picture that was
- 48:36shared. And I've also seen it a few
- 48:38times without being shared to me directly on social media like
- 48:41Instagram where they have people doing the mushiya, right?
- 48:45So they're doing the walk to the shrine of Imam and Hussain for
- 48:48his 40th and then you have on one side of the road it says
- 48:59Karabella, it says you walk into Karabella on the other sign,
- 49:03it's like a road sign. The way they've edited it, it
- 49:05says understanding cross in. So you've got millions walking.
- 49:12They put it in walking towards Karabella and they have two
- 49:15people walking to those who have marathon with Imam Hussein and
- 49:19one law made me think I've never seen Arabahine from that lens
- 49:22before. Like when we go to the shrine,
- 49:24are we, is it just Ziara? Is it something we want to
- 49:28return? Is it a Hajja?
- 49:30Is it we we want to express our love?
- 49:32Or was it building a Marafin? And you know, we have that
- 49:35famous saying Manzar Hussain, Arafin Bihaka, Azar Allahufi
- 49:41Arshad, the one who visits Imam Hussein, the shrine, the grave
- 49:44of Imam Hussain, knowing his status, it's as if though he
- 49:48visited the shrine of Allah Subhanahu Attallah and the
- 49:51Inshallah Ali. It's for those who are going
- 49:53myself, if I'm going inshallah, if you brothers go shalt Ahmed,
- 49:58I'm going to call them after the Shabbat.
- 49:59So please let's go, man. If we do have the opportunity,
- 50:02let it be this year about Marafa.
- 50:05And we cry, we go to the majlis. We, we like I say, I, I don't
- 50:12want to say that going to the Majlis without learning anything
- 50:15is bad because it's still good that we go in the 1st place.
- 50:19And even that one tear that we shed, you know we have this
- 50:21narration by the holy imams that say a tear, a single tear that
- 50:27we drop the size of a wing of a mosquito Shafar phos does away
- 50:36with our sins. I need like the greatness of if
- 50:39we can't learn anything, at least we cry for them to save
- 50:41Allah cried Salallahu Ali Hawaii was selling before Karbala
- 50:45happened, say the Fatima Zahra cried upon knowing what also
- 50:48Allah told her that will be for Salama cried.
- 50:51You know Hassan Emir al Mummani cried say the Zainab Imam
- 50:57Sajjah. Then I think just on the final
- 50:59note will end the episode is the night of Imam Zainab Aberdeen
- 51:04Ali Salam. The next night or two, many of
- 51:06us will be attending Majalis once more, marking the shahada
- 51:10of Zain al Abadeen. And what a beautiful name, Zain
- 51:14al Abadeen, the adornment of worship.
- 51:18And you look like Al Handela, like we have these role models,
- 51:22we have these imams to look up to and the imams sell us Kunu
- 51:25Zain al Lena, Zain al Abadeen, Kunu Zain al Lena be an
- 51:29adornment for us. And inshallah, this is something
- 51:32that we can live by. And if you are watching and so
- 51:36now let us know in the comments. And if you want to see and
- 51:39Kazaman again with me now with Ahmed, let me know as well.
- 51:42You can hear me privately. Don't worry, I want all Ahmed,
- 51:44it's inshallah. We'll see you again next week.
- 51:47What's Salaam alaikum? What Ahmed Allahi?
