- 0:02And hello everyone, welcome back to Eye Opener Society, welcome back to our Thursday night sermon.
- 0:10We are being broadcasted live every Thursday at 7 p.m.
- 0:13Eastern Standard Time, live across Facebook as well as YouTube.
- 0:18And I just wanted to give everyone a heads up because I know I've had it mentioned
- 0:23to me a couple times about streaming over TikTok. I tried it.
- 0:29I actually downloaded a whole program
- 0:31from my desktop, but they wanted an application that I have to fill out.
- 0:36And not only do I have to fill it out, but I need to fill it out every 14 days.
- 0:44It's absolutely ridiculous So I'm just using what we're using right now Because
- 0:49I think it's going to work out perfectly More consistent If you would like to join us Don't forget,
- 0:55go on our Facebook page I actually have the link to our Restream
- 0:59account And that Restream account You can join us live right here too as well
- 1:05So we are here today And I want to thank everybody And I wanted to do a very
- 1:10special thank you To Carly and Carla from Appalachian Rootworks I know you hear
- 1:14us talking all the time about them,
- 1:17but Carly and Carla have been absolutely fantastic.
- 1:19I was down in Cynthiana, Kentucky over the weekend.
- 1:23I'd done my very first in-person meditation class. I can't thank them enough.
- 1:28I want you to go to AppalachianRootWorks.com, check them out.
- 1:33And here's the announcement. I know if anybody was following this show.
- 1:39I took almost six months of letting everybody know that I'm moving.
- 1:43I started a year. I'm moving, I'm moving, I'm moving.
- 1:47But the cool thing, I'll probably be relocating again.
- 1:52But this time, I'm going to be relocating to Cynthiana, Kentucky.
- 1:57I got it in my mind. I want to do it. And that's what I'm going to be talking about.
- 2:04You see, all of us have passions. Every single one of us. We all wind up at
- 2:12some point in time wanting to do something.
- 2:16We want to do something that we have a passion to do. Maybe we're starting too late in life with it.
- 2:24Or maybe you just felt like you never had the energy, the guts,
- 2:30whatever it was, to actually set out and do it.
- 2:34Now, I have confidence in everybody. So everybody that's listening,
- 2:39everybody that's picking up the recording of this, no matter when you tune in,
- 2:44you still have the opportunity to do what it is you want, your passions, your dreams.
- 2:51This is your life, and you must take charge of it.
- 2:58I've talked about this When I started this ministry I got together with Lizzie
- 3:05And I was just like Hey, let's start a church And Lizzie's like Hey,
- 3:08I always wanted to start a church You know what?
- 3:11I sat there and I said I thought about this four years ago I never did it,
- 3:17But all it took was that one chance where I just said, you know what, that's it.
- 3:24This is going to be done, and I'm going to do it.
- 3:28And look at where we are now. We're already doing sermons.
- 3:32You know, we're broadcasting this. We got a lot going on in the background.
- 3:36It's a passion of mine that I wanted to get done.
- 3:41The other passion that I wanted was...
- 3:47To be in a place of comfort for my own sake.
- 3:52Now, I'm very comfortable out in the woods with just a tent.
- 3:56I'm good with it. As a matter of fact, I'm very good with it.
- 4:00I'm overly, overly excited for that kind of stuff.
- 4:05And the only reason, the quietness, the security that I feel when I'm out in the woods alone,
- 4:13alone sitting up against a tree rocks under a tent under the stars wherever
- 4:20it may be that's where I want to be that's the place that I love so much now this extends as well to.
- 4:32Where I live and most of us maybe we're comfortable where we live maybe we're
- 4:41not so comfortable but here's the thing.
- 4:44We have the ability to move. We're mobile people.
- 4:48We don't need to be stuck in one spot. But most importantly,
- 4:52you should not be stuck in a place where you feel uncomfortable.
- 4:58And I don't care where that place is.
- 5:01Uproot yourself. Go out there. Have an adventure.
- 5:05Explore. Even if it's not permanent. Even if you just say, hey,
- 5:09I'm going to take a month and I'm going to explore every single corner of the
- 5:12country or every single corner of the world.
- 5:16It's up to you to do it. It's up to you to make that move.
- 5:20See, I can only motivate so much on these sermons. I can only give ideas as, you know, so much.
- 5:28Really is up to you, the individual, the human being.
- 5:33When we are so confined in a space that we no longer like or we feel no longer resonates with us,
- 5:40being stuck in that place kind of makes life more difficult for us because every
- 5:47day becomes a challenge. How am I going to make this better?
- 5:50And everything I taught about happiness, positivity, we could apply that every
- 5:56single day, but if it is a physical need to get up and move,
- 6:02change the scenery, do it.
- 6:04I've waited way too long and I've changed my scenery many times.
- 6:08I've moved all up and down this East Coast.
- 6:12I've seen different things. I've been in different places, but now this stage
- 6:18in my life, I'm looking for something more.
- 6:22I want it not to be a move just for a job opportunity.
- 6:27I want it to be a move due to a passion of mine because I want to be in a place
- 6:34where I am accepted, where I'm going to have people supporting me all the time around me,
- 6:40meeting new people that resonate with me.
- 6:43It needs to be a complete adventure.
- 6:47And that's what I'm looking for. That is my dream.
- 6:51That is my goal going forward. And I'm making every single possible step to do so.
- 6:58There's no reason at all why you cannot do the same thing.
- 7:02And you know what? You might be very comfortable where you are And that is fantastic
- 7:08too So why not take that And add that to the positive things in your life.
- 7:17Use it to better yourself Use it to better the people around you Because you're
- 7:24able to express yourself better And sometimes even more when you're in that place of comfort,
- 7:32This is exactly what I found when I was down in Cynthiana, Kentucky.
- 7:37I found that place. I found that feeling. I found that emotional growth I've been looking for.
- 7:49And how did I recognize it?
- 7:52Well, as soon as I got home, when I get hit with all of the lower vibrational
- 7:58energies, when I get back to where I am, I recognize and I realize right then
- 8:04and there, I need to make a change.
- 8:07There's nothing wrong with making those changes. As a matter of fact,
- 8:11there's nothing wrong at all with making changes as often as you need to. There's no limits.
- 8:19There's always going to be people out there, and I've dealt with it.
- 8:22I dealt with it at the beginning of this year when I started making some decisions,
- 8:27and I started to express those decisions.
- 8:29Right away, people, especially people close to you, you can't do that.
- 8:34You shouldn't do that. Oh, what about this?
- 8:37Listen, I don't need the negativity.
- 8:41You out there do not need the negativity. You need positivity.
- 8:45You need somebody behind you
- 8:47telling you, yes, you can. I admire your passion. I admire your dreams.
- 8:53That's what you need. And that's what I am here to give to you.
- 8:57That sort of positivity, that sort of encouragement, that's something that we all need.
- 9:02And that's something that we should start doing more of when we're talking to
- 9:08people and we are asking them, what are your desires? What's your dreams?
- 9:12Those people are going to express that to you.
- 9:16Right then and there, that's when you should be interjecting and saying,
- 9:19that's a fantastic dream. I hope all works out for you.
- 9:24If there's anything I can do to support you, this is what we need.
- 9:29This is part of Eye Opener Society's mission.
- 9:33We want to support everybody. We want to support your dreams.
- 9:36We want to support you. And that's what we are going to do.
- 9:40My name is Gary Dean. I'm a founding member of Eye Opener Society.
- 9:46I'm going to turn things over now to the co-creator of this wonderful ministry,
- 9:51our dear friend, the cosmic fairy, Princess Lizzie. Let's bring her in.
- 9:58Hello. I'm really excited to talk today, and I honestly couldn't make up my
- 10:05mind what I wanted to talk about.
- 10:08This week, I ripped my toenail off, and of course, everything that I do,
- 10:13I just turned it into a big spiritual quest for knowledge and truth.
- 10:18So I spent a lot of time researching a lot
- 10:20of things but truly what everything all circled
- 10:24back down to is everything that we're
- 10:27exploring everything that I can find about
- 10:31trying to heal your nervous system your
- 10:34body all of that is under the assumption that
- 10:38you can kind of just put everything on pause
- 10:41you know because I can put my toe up
- 10:44for a couple days I absolutely did that that's easy
- 10:47it only takes a couple days to heal a toe but your nervous
- 10:50system that takes years it takes
- 10:54years when I first heard about burnout um
- 10:58they said it takes two to five years to
- 11:01heal from burnout and I thought bullshit who's
- 11:04got time for that um the thing
- 11:07is is it does actually take some time but not
- 11:10I think because that it actually
- 11:13takes time I think it takes time because not
- 11:17everybody's nervous system heals the same way and
- 11:20disappearing off into the woods or some
- 11:23sort of retreat just doesn't work the way that I think at least my imagination
- 11:31wants me to think because truthfully even if you are able to go on a vacation
- 11:38and recenter yourself into everything.
- 11:42Of peace everything's still waiting for you when when you come back and maybe
- 11:48you are refreshed and you're not like at your boiling point and you can look
- 11:51at it differently but it's still there.
- 11:56And so this is something that I've been really pondering and playing with the
- 11:59last little bit, because I don't believe that you're ever left without what
- 12:04you need, which means if it's not practical for you to disappear into the woods to recenter your soul,
- 12:10that must not be necessary, which means somewhere in the chaos,
- 12:14you can heal your nervous system.
- 12:17And how that is, I don't know. I think that's why they think it takes two to five years.
- 12:22The thing is what I've learned is you
- 12:25can absolutely bloom anywhere and
- 12:28you can also be trapped anywhere I've met
- 12:31some really happy people who on perceiving
- 12:35what they're experiencing looks like a life I would never survive and then I
- 12:40also see people who look like they're living the life that I like wish I have
- 12:45and they can't even like see what they have you can bloom anywhere and you can be trapped anywhere,
- 12:52and it's completely your choice.
- 12:56But with that, there's also a caveat because there's a caveat to absolutely
- 13:00everything in the spiritual world.
- 13:04Everything is your choice, which means that it is because you wanted it to be.
- 13:10It's giving you something.
- 13:12But this can also come down to this place where a lot of people have a hard
- 13:16time with that because it makes them feel like the things they've been through is their fault.
- 13:21And those two truths are not, they're not synonymous like we think that they are.
- 13:29We're playing a game, I think, where there's not rules like we would like them to be.
- 13:36I believe that all the rules that do exist are the ones that we agreed to.
- 13:42A lot of people talk about how in this world everything is so polarizing,
- 13:48good and evil, light and dark, all of that.
- 13:53But polarity from a cosmic perspective is really just the opportunity for freedom
- 13:59of choice and so truly sometimes if we're not conscious that choice is going
- 14:08to be chaos it is going to be all,
- 14:11I guess chaos is the best way to explain it,
- 14:15trapping yourself in a place which makes you feel like
- 14:18it's your fault you're in a spot you don't like
- 14:21really removes your choice of removing it
- 14:25because if you had a choice you would not be there but when you look at it as
- 14:31it's a choice of what you're experiencing from that you can give space for gratitude
- 14:36can give space for all for grace for everything that's happening and that opens up choice.
- 14:43Because when you can see what's in your situation that is good,
- 14:48you know what you want to amplify.
- 14:50And when things are allowed to just exist, not great, and you can give them
- 14:56grace to just exist, you can actually find solutions to most of your problems.
- 15:03Because everybody wants to go in already with a solution, it limits what you
- 15:10can do, which traps you out of choice.
- 15:14Everything in life seems to be about the polarities.
- 15:19It's almost like you have to focus on one side and then the other.
- 15:24If you started a soft, little, squishy, compassionate being,
- 15:28at some point, you're going to probably have to get a little too harsh.
- 15:32And if you started a little too harsh you have to get all nice and squishy soft
- 15:36and usually you do both and then you integrate the both of them and then somewhere
- 15:42along the lines it comes out to a long list of spiritual gifts and qualities
- 15:48that you see why you went through it.
- 15:54Because everything exists on this double-sided thing, it creates a lot of arguments
- 16:00between the two different sides.
- 16:01You could scroll through TikTok and one will be about how everything is about conscious choice.
- 16:07And then the next one will be about how everything is about surrendering.
- 16:11And the truth is, it's kind of both of them. You surrender to find your baseline,
- 16:16but at some point you have to evolve that to expand your capacity.
- 16:22But back to that two to five years of the nervous system, that's different for everybody.
- 16:26And somewhere, somewhere in the chaos is space for you to find peace.
- 16:32And that's going to be different for everybody.
- 16:35But the beautiful, beautiful thing is that your body is so magically designed
- 16:41to give you everything that you need.
- 16:43Like, okay, if you don't listen to me regularly, this will sound kind of all
- 16:47over the place. But I swear it comes with purpose.
- 16:51I was learning about farts okay and your
- 16:56stinky farts come from your body fermenting
- 17:00protein because you don't have enough fiber because it needs to ferment that
- 17:04fiber for all the other things I don't remember that it needs but if the fiber
- 17:08is not available it'll ferment the protein and that's actually where you get
- 17:11stinky farts just fun fact but the thing is if you don't give your body what it needs,
- 17:18it'll adapt in other ways.
- 17:20The universe, your body, your soul, your mind always gives you everything that you need.
- 17:27The choice lies in if you can give it space to be seen or not,
- 17:31or if you just think you already have the solution.
- 17:34Because if you already think you have the solution, it probably will take you
- 17:38two to five years to figure it out.
- 17:40And I guess that's kind of everything.
- 17:44I hope that everybody's had just a beautiful week and I hope that everybody's
- 17:49been hugging trees because it's spring and the trees need you.
- 17:55Thank you.
- 17:58Thank you so much, Lizzie. Thank you so much to everybody that joined us on our sermon.
