- 0:01If we reflect for a moment on the shift from one evolutionary
- 0:05principle of Consciousness to another, we can see a shift of
- 0:10standpoint as well as a difference in the mechanism of
- 0:14operation. Those beings were primarily
- 0:18based in the vital nature, tend to react based on principles of
- 0:22fear and greed, desire and avoidance without substantial
- 0:28planning or mental eye. Ideation taking place.
- 0:32A shift from the mental standpoint to that of the
- 0:35spiritual standpoint is what we would expect.
- 0:39If there is a full manifestation of the spiritual powers of
- 0:42Consciousness. This process, however, is not
- 0:46something that tends to take place permanently all at once.
- 0:51There's an interim stage where there are openings glimpses
- 0:56insights, but the basic principle of Consciousness
- 1:00remains rooted in the mental. Process.
- 1:04Mind Games, a certain amount of reflected light and power, but
- 1:09nevertheless Remains the mind. There are also openings where
- 1:14either the Consciousness Rises to a new level for some period
- 1:18of time and experience, or some temporary status before falling
- 1:23back into the mental view or where insights intuitions new
- 1:29brilliant ideas, penetrate into the Mind from above.
- 1:34Giving the individual certain new forms of understanding and
- 1:37action. But nevertheless based in mental
- 1:41action to translate the light into suitable mental forms.
- 1:48If we start from the higher Realms of spiritual vision,
- 1:51Insight, knowledge and power. We can see that those who
- 1:56approach those Realms invariably refer to them, as having a
- 2:01Brilliance of light that they cannot face.
- 2:04Directly the issue upanishad refers to the face of Truth,
- 2:10being covered by a brilliant golden lid.
- 2:14The intervening steps. Represent.
- 2:17Something of a Step Down Transformer, that allows the
- 2:20secret to gain. Some experience of these higher
- 2:23forces within the limitations of what he can absorb and
- 2:27assimilate. Thus one can see, a being who
- 2:32has a brilliant mind. Someone who gets intuitive
- 2:35insights, who may have visions that represent progress in a
- 2:40certain direction but who then work out the understanding and
- 2:44expression in mental terms, the first step above the normal.
- 2:50Mental power is called the higher Mind by SRI aurobindo.
- 2:55He has distinguished various steps by their characteristics.
- 2:59And their ability to operate, either through the mind or in
- 3:04some way, go beyond the mind to a new form of consciousness.
- 3:10SRI aurobindo writes, quote, I mean, by the higher mind of
- 3:15first plane of spiritual consciousness where one becomes
- 3:19constantly and closely aware of the self, the one everywhere and
- 3:25knows and sees things have bitch, ually with that
- 3:27awareness, but it is still very much on the Mind level, although
- 3:33highly spiritual in its essential substance.
- 3:37And it's instrumentation is through an elevated thought
- 3:40power. And comprehensive mental site,
- 3:44not illumined by any of the intenser upper lights.
- 3:48But as if in a large strong and clear daylight, it acts as an
- 3:55intermediate State between the truth light above, and the human
- 4:00mind communicating the higher knowledge in a form that the
- 4:04Mind intensified Broadened made spiritually, Supple can receive
- 4:11without being blinded or dazzled by a truth Beyond it.
- 4:17And quote, reference SRI aurobindo in the mother, our
- 4:23many selves practical yogic psychology introduction, SRI
