Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: This is Kiss Breakfast. And Nat has got to hear
- 0:03Speaker 1: the celebrity gossip. What are you looking at?
- 0:05Speaker 2: So it was rumoured, but now it's confirmed. Jay-Z is
- 0:08Speaker 2: going to headline the next Super Bowl halftime show in February.
- 0:11Speaker 2: This game is going to be in California. Now, we
- 0:13Speaker 2: know that his entertainment company, Roc Nation, produces the halftime
- 0:18Speaker 2: show so he literally said my announcement is me um
- 0:21Speaker 2: congratulations to me exactly but good on him and i
- 0:24Speaker 2: think he deserves it now the announcement photo for the
- 0:27Speaker 2: super bowl halftime show was him sitting in an empty
- 0:30Speaker 2: stadium surrounded by 11 literal goats like as in the
- 0:34Speaker 2: animal goats now we all know that goat means greatest
- 0:36Speaker 2: of all time yes So there's two strong theories as
- 0:39Speaker 2: to what the goats represent. One is that he's going
- 0:43Speaker 2: to bring out 11 different people and he would be
- 0:45Speaker 2: the 12th goat that's going to take the stage. But
- 0:48Speaker 2: I think the one that's more likely is he's actually
- 0:51Speaker 2: had 11 solo number one albums, which means that each
- 0:55Speaker 2: goat represents one of his solo number one albums. He's
- 0:58Speaker 2: had 14, including collaborative albums, but yeah.
- 1:01Speaker 3: 11 solo number one. Goats out the bag.
- 1:04Speaker 1: Maybe they're his pet goats.
- 1:05Speaker 3: No, they're not.
- 1:06Speaker 2: He could easily pull 11 goat artists, though. And I
- 1:10Speaker 2: think what everyone is going to be waiting for, because
- 1:13Speaker 2: when the Super Bowl halftime performance is on, I always
- 1:16Speaker 2: watch it at work with people because I happen to
- 1:18Speaker 2: be here at that time.
- 1:19Speaker 3: And we're always waiting for them to bring someone else out.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Like you're always like, oh, are they going to bring.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Out this person?
- 1:23Speaker 3: Them on their own is never good enough.
- 1:25Speaker 1: No one cares.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Well, it can be, but you also just want a
- 1:28Speaker 2: little bit of spice somewhere in it. And I think
- 1:30Speaker 2: everyone's going to be waiting for Jay-Z to bring out Beyonce.
- 1:32Speaker 3: I love how angry he looks. And it's not like
- 1:35Speaker 3: she hasn't done it before. Like she's done it three times.
- 1:39Speaker 3: She's done... an anthem in 2004.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Then in 2013, she headlined it herself, which is where
- 1:44Speaker 2: she did that famous Destiny's Child reunion on stage. Yeah.
- 1:48Speaker 2: And then she also came out in 2016 when Coldplay
- 1:51Speaker 2: headlined because it was in Louisiana and her mum's from Louisiana.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Gotcha. So, I mean, it's her husband. She'd have to
- 1:57Speaker 1: come out for her husband.
- 1:58Speaker 3: And if she doesn't, I think it's weird.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Yeah. Especially because they have so many songs together. It's
- 2:03Speaker 2: not even like he's just bringing her out to do
- 2:05Speaker 2: her own thing. They've got Crazy in Love. Yeah.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Drunk in Love, I think.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Bonnie and Clyde. Unless she's still angry at him about
- 2:13Speaker 1: that cheating years ago.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Oh, with Becky with the good hair.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 2:17Speaker 3: Selange bashes him again.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Still annoyed. Bring out Selange.
- 2:22Speaker 2: I reckon, though, he will definitely bring out their daughter, Blue,
- 2:25Speaker 2: because you know how she goes on tour?
- 2:26Speaker 1: Nepo baby, yeah.
- 2:26Speaker 2: She goes on tour with Beyonce now and, like, dances
- 2:29Speaker 2: with her and stuff like that.
- 2:29Speaker 4: Can people stop bringing out their kids on stage? Like, Pink,
- 2:32Speaker 4: I don't care about your daughter, Willow, coming out.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Let's have that cute song together.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Don't care.
- 2:37Speaker 3: Cover me in sunshine.
- 2:39Speaker 1: It's great when they can't even sing. It's like, piss off.
- 2:42Speaker 1: You're just jealous.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Because your dad's a geologist and that's not an industry
- 2:47Speaker 2: you care to be a Nepo baby in.
- 2:49Speaker 1: No, I didn't. Him and his boring rock collection. What
- 2:51Speaker 1: did your mum do?
- 2:54Speaker 3: What did your mum do for work?
- 2:58Speaker 1: She was a... Why.
- 3:01Speaker 3: Are you being weird about this?
- 3:02Speaker 1: Because I think they call it... Was she a sex worker?
- 3:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Mum was a prostitute. We finally got to the bottom
- 3:08Speaker 1: of it.
- 3:08Speaker 3: That's why you never watch Pretty Woman. It's triggering. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 3:10Speaker 1: That's why. She was a welfare worker.
- 3:13Speaker 3: Oh, again, not a shiny career.
- 3:16Speaker 1: A nosy parker welfare worker, we used to call her.
- 3:19Speaker 3: A nosy parker.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a very 90s term. I think they call
- 3:23Speaker 1: them social workers now. There's a difference.
- 3:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Okay.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Just, you know, docs and stuff. She's a really good...
- 3:28Speaker 1: And your dad was a police prosecutor. Not a prostitute.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Police prosecutor.
- 3:31Speaker 3: So you could have been a cop.
- 3:32Speaker 1: What was your mum?
- 3:33Speaker 3: My mum used to work in schools, office admin. She
- 3:36Speaker 3: was a SAM. What's that? What's that?
- 3:39Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 3:40Speaker 3: Student admin manager. Something like that. School admin manager. So
- 3:44Speaker 3: she would manage the offices at schools.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Sean, what were your parents?
- 3:48Speaker 3: My dad worked in radio for a little bit. You're
- 3:50Speaker 3: a Nepo baby. Nepotism. We got one. A long, long
- 3:56Speaker 3: time ago. And then he spent 30 years working at TAFE.
- 3:58Speaker 4: All right.
- 3:59Speaker 1: But hang on, what did your dad do in radio?
- 4:01Speaker 2: My dad was an announcer in Perth, and then he
- 4:04Speaker 2: went to Tasmania, and then my mum said, I'm homesick.
- 4:06Speaker 3: And that was the end of his career. Oh, your
- 4:09Speaker 3: mum ruined it. What did your mum do?
- 4:10Speaker 1: But they broke up.
- 4:11Speaker 3: And then she divorced him.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Oh, really?
- 4:13Speaker 3: Oh, God.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Drama.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Yeah, what did your mum do?
- 4:16Speaker 2: Mum was a cleaner.
- 4:17Speaker 4: Oh, right.
- 4:17Speaker 3: Okay.
- 4:18Speaker 4: So you notice the dads have got these like, I'm
- 4:21Speaker 4: a geologist, I'm a police dude. And mum's got like
- 4:24Speaker 4: the nicer caring role.
- 4:25Speaker 3: What did your parents do? Just pointing out inequality with
- 4:28Speaker 3: men and women.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Yeah, pretty much, right? The men have the power jobs,
- 4:31Speaker 1: the women.
- 4:32Speaker 2: My dad was like a managing director of an insurance company.
- 4:35Speaker 3: My mum was a stay-at-home mum. But worked in insurance
- 4:38Speaker 3: back in the day. Yeah. Is that where they met?
- 4:39Speaker 4: Yes.
- 4:40Speaker 3: Office romance.
- 4:43Speaker 1: 131065, what did your mum and dad do?
- 4:45Speaker 3: You could genuinely sit here and listen to this all day.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Especially if you're in Hunter's Hill. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 4:51Speaker 2: We only want Hunter's Hill callers and we only want
- 4:53Speaker 2: to know what your mum and dad did.
- 4:55Speaker 1: A lot of stay-at-home mums in Hunter's Hill.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Don't you worry.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Also quickly, Matthew McConaughey was the latest guest on that
- 5:02Speaker 2: Subway takes. You know the social media page where they
- 5:04Speaker 2: get celebrities on the tube or whatever they call the
- 5:07Speaker 2: train over there, and basically they give a hot take.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Matthew's hot take. Have a listen to what he says.
- 5:12Speaker 2: I want to know if you agree.
- 5:14Speaker 1: So what's your take? The most underrated part of a
- 5:17Speaker 1: good day.
- 5:19Speaker 3: He's dropping a good deuce.
- 5:20Speaker 1: 100% agree.
- 5:21Speaker 2: 100% agree.
- 5:22Speaker 1: In the a.m.
- 5:23Speaker 3: Specifically in the a.m.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean.
- 5:25Speaker 3: A morning turd.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:27Speaker 1: No one wants to do a 10 p.m.
- 5:28Speaker 4: Poo.
- 5:29Speaker 3: Sometimes I get woken up when I need to go. Like,
- 5:32Speaker 3: have you ever done that in the middle of the night.
- 5:34Speaker 1: And you have to go? With pains. Yeah, but it's rare.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Or worse, a wet poo. As in, you've been swimming, right?
- 5:41Speaker 3: Oh, no, no.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Yeah, and you've got to sit on that toilet. And
- 5:44Speaker 1: you're still wet. Oh, I thought you meant there was
- 5:47Speaker 1: poo in the cavity.
- 5:47Speaker 4: No, no, no, no.
- 5:48Speaker 1: I mean water in the cavity. You know the ones
- 5:51Speaker 1: I mean?
- 5:52Speaker 3: Yeah, I do.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Yeah, try to swim here.
- 5:54Speaker 4: You've got to jump out and pull your wet bodies out.
- 5:56Speaker 3: You're a bit cold.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Wipe your bum, but it's all wet.
- 6:00Speaker 3: Toilet paper's just disintegrating. It stinks to your bum.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
