- 0:00Wherever we focus attention, we created direct relationship with
- 0:06the object of that attention. It may be through aspiration
- 0:10towards a higher, Consciousness, Devotion, to an ideal, or
- 0:15through love for a revered guide or teacher.
- 0:18Or it may be through the reaction of fear about some
- 0:22person event or circumstance. However, it comes about this.
- 0:27Focus creates a beacon or To the object of focus to interact with
- 0:33us thus throughout aspiration. We work to create a new level of
- 0:38Consciousness within our being and alternatively through fear.
- 0:43We bring toward us the very thing about which we are
- 0:46experiencing fear. This is the underlying and
- 0:50essential principle behind what is being called today.
- 0:54The law of attraction The reaction of fear results from
- 0:59the awareness of the ego Consciousness about its own
- 1:02fragility and weakness, as a separate being in the wider
- 1:06Universal creation. This ego Consciousness is a
- 1:10somewhat illusory construct. As we are never actually
- 1:14separated from the universal Consciousness and its
- 1:17manifestation, it serves a purpose of creating a Nexus or
- 1:22point of concentration for the manifestation.
- 1:27Yet. It is not in fact, something
- 1:29separate and apart. When the ego Consciousness is in
- 1:33the Forefront, we experience fears of death and dissolution
- 1:37of pain and of Separation, through our experience, our
- 1:43education and our perceptions, including our consumption of
- 1:47information through media and interpersonal relationships.
- 1:53We internalize certain dangers or concerns that become the
- 1:57basis for fear. The very focus on these things.
- 2:01Whoever opens a connection between ourselves and the forces
- 2:06that we fear and thus, we become locked into a structure that
- 2:11forces us to face and either overcome or fail in the attempt.
- 2:18The objects, we fear. As we shift our standpoint away
- 2:23from the ego personality toward the Divine standpoint, we begin
- 2:28to recognize that. There is no ultimate cause of
- 2:31fear as we focus, our attention on the Divine creation and the
- 2:36next phases of its evolutionary development, we create a
- 2:41positive relationship with that next future and bring that
- 2:45towards us. Another aspect to consider is
- 2:49the impact of negative and positive emotions on the vital
- 2:53sheath that surrounds us as an individual Nexus of energy.
- 2:58Negative emotions fear sadness, depression, anger hatred,
- 3:06unhappy feelings tend to open holes and weaken the vital
- 3:11sheath which normally acts as a protection of the individual
- 3:15from attack and destruction. Similarly, positive emotions,
- 3:21happiness, love Goodwill. Compassion act to strengthen
- 3:26this vital sheath and thus afford more protection against
- 3:30forces that want to weaken destroy or devour as part of the
- 3:36dynamic of creation and destruction in the universe.
- 3:41SRI aurobindo writes, quote. It is true that, what one fears
- 3:46has the tendency to come until one is able to look at in the
- 3:49face and overcome when shrinking.
- 3:53It is a mistake to think that by fearing or being unhappy.
- 3:56You can progress fear is always a feeling to be rejected because
- 4:02what you fear is just a thing that is likely to come to you,
- 4:07fear attracts the object to fear.
- 4:09Unhappiness, weakens the strength and lays one more open
- 4:14to the causes of unhappiness end quote.
