- 0:09Speaker 1: Advice. It's hell love No, welcome to the not even
- 0:18Speaker 1: nice show, your hair rub shooter, and it's Friday, which
- 0:20Speaker 1: means our dear friend Corey Andrew joins us. Hey, Corey,
- 0:23Speaker 1: are you there?
- 0:24Speaker 2: I am here. Happy Friday, everyone.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Happy, Happy Friday, my friends. I'm loving your substack. I'm
- 0:30Speaker 1: loving it, loving it loving Get Corey. How do we
- 0:33Speaker 1: find you? Everyone here has been so kind in the naughties,
- 0:36Speaker 1: have really rallied for me, So maybe you can rally
- 0:38Speaker 1: one more time for Corey. How do we find you?
- 0:41Speaker 2: Well? Thank you so much. Well, yes, it is just
- 0:42Speaker 2: Core Issues, So Core Issues with Corey Andrew, which is
- 0:46Speaker 2: my brand. You'll know it because e why yes, why
- 0:51Speaker 2: we boait?
- 0:52Speaker 1: No?
- 0:52Speaker 2: I messed it up. You're wrong Core Issues, correct, c
- 0:56Speaker 2: O r E. You're right right, hopeless, we are horrible.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Step on our old plane. Yeah, let's jump in the show.
- 1:03Speaker 1: See if we can get this right. Yes, my friends,
- 1:06Speaker 1: it is time breaking news. At the top of the show,
- 1:10Speaker 1: Diane Keaton's death certificate confirms it was pneumonia and she's
- 1:14Speaker 1: already been cremated. So the Hollywood legend has been cremated,
- 1:18Speaker 1: with the official records confirming the cause of death as
- 1:22Speaker 1: primary bacterial pneumonia. Yeah, that's that's so sad. You don't
- 1:28Speaker 1: think of that as a cause of death, but it
- 1:31Speaker 1: really really is serious. She was seventeen, nine years old
- 1:34Speaker 1: two and what's interesting, she's already been cremated. So this
- 1:38Speaker 1: was not one of those big Hollywood funerals. Jack Nicholson
- 1:41Speaker 1: and all her friends at Middler and Goldiehorn and all
- 1:43Speaker 1: those celebrities that she worked with, Woody Allen, they were
- 1:46Speaker 1: not there. This was a small family affair. It just
- 1:49Speaker 1: goes to show you that even when you're rich and famous,
- 1:52Speaker 1: when it comes to the end these big moments, it's
- 1:55Speaker 1: really a time for family. Yes, it's that. That's the moment.
- 1:58Speaker 1: We're planning my father's funeral, which is going to be
- 2:00Speaker 1: on the thirty first. In Britain. They don't rush. It
- 2:03Speaker 1: takes a while in Britain to get buried. And I
- 2:05Speaker 1: looked at the guest list and although friends have been invited,
- 2:08Speaker 1: my dad certainly had friends. It's really a time for family.
- 2:12Speaker 1: She's going to be a family day. And so, Diane,
- 2:15Speaker 1: rest in peace. You were such such a legend. Okay,
- 2:18Speaker 1: let's jump into our show. Kevin Federline is now saying
- 2:22Speaker 1: that Britney Spears did cocaine while breastfeeding, saying that's the
- 2:26Speaker 1: final straw. So in probably the most exped explosive claims
- 2:30Speaker 1: in the book so far, he alleges that his ex
- 2:32Speaker 1: wife Britney Spears, was using cocaine while she was still
- 2:36Speaker 1: breastfeeding their infants. And he said he went to a
- 2:40Speaker 1: album release, remember when he wanted to be a musician.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Album or something.
- 2:45Speaker 1: So he was at there and he was at an
- 2:47Speaker 1: album party, a release party. He was the DJ at
- 2:50Speaker 1: the party, and Britney showed up. She'd just had the babies,
- 2:54Speaker 1: and she showed up. She brought her father, his father
- 2:57Speaker 1: in law, Jamie Spears, so she brought a dad with her.
- 3:00Speaker 1: And then he said, I opened the dressing room door
- 3:02Speaker 1: and I saw Brittany and a friend snorting a fat
- 3:05Speaker 1: line of cocaine off the table. They didn't even try
- 3:08Speaker 1: to hide it. What's shocking to is he said her
- 3:10Speaker 1: brother Brian was with her, and also her agent Jason
- 3:14Speaker 1: was there. He said he begged Brittany to go home
- 3:17Speaker 1: and he said, you can't be breastfeeding the kids like this,
- 3:21Speaker 1: and she screamed at him and said we need to
- 3:23Speaker 1: get formula, and he said that was it. That was
- 3:25Speaker 1: the moment when it all came crashing down. I totally
- 3:30Speaker 1: believe this story. We've been around Brittany, We've been reporting
- 3:33Speaker 1: this story. I spent afternoon with Brittany, had a phono
- 3:36Speaker 1: shoot and she was clearly on substances. I don't know
- 3:38Speaker 1: which ones. I didn't see that, but they clearly was
- 3:41Speaker 1: something something off here and it wasn't just one too
- 3:43Speaker 1: many vodkusodas. And so I think that this is going
- 3:46Speaker 1: to be confirmed. And let's be honest too. I've got
- 3:49Speaker 1: a book out and I'm working on another one. They
- 3:52Speaker 1: all go through legal. You can't just write stuff unless
- 3:55Speaker 1: maybe it's self published. But if you've got a publisher,
- 3:57Speaker 1: and Kevin does, has to be legal, so we probably
- 4:02Speaker 1: don't want to hear it. I agree with you. I'm
- 4:04Speaker 1: not sure I really want these details either, but I
- 4:08Speaker 1: would not say they're not true. I totally believe that
- 4:11Speaker 1: that it's truthful. I hope it's all in the past,
- 4:15Speaker 1: but I'm not so sure. What do you think, colriy.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Well our first not to make light of that. Al
- 4:18Speaker 2: first commends you on a very clever pun with the
- 4:21Speaker 2: final straw. So I caught that, but otherwise, But otherwise,
- 4:26Speaker 2: you know, if here's one of those stories where if
- 4:29Speaker 2: Brittany was an adult and was doing her own thing,
- 4:32Speaker 2: she's a grown up, she can make her own decisions.
- 4:34Speaker 2: But yes, when you include the idea that she may
- 4:37Speaker 2: be harming her children through breastfeeding, which is a substance
- 4:41Speaker 2: that can really harm a child, that is where the
- 4:43Speaker 2: story is very concerning. Kevin is of course being called opportunistic.
- 4:49Speaker 2: He's been said, it's being said that he's just trying
- 4:51Speaker 2: to make money off of her. But you know, the
- 4:53Speaker 2: argument would be she's famous, yes, but this is his story.
- 4:57Speaker 2: He is a part of her world. He lived it,
- 5:00Speaker 2: so he has every right to tell his version of.
- 5:02Speaker 1: It, and both can be true. He can be an
- 5:03Speaker 1: opportunist and he can still tell a truthful story that
- 5:06Speaker 1: you don't need to be one of the other writing Kevin,
- 5:08Speaker 1: he's an opportunist. He's lived off Brittany for the last
- 5:10Speaker 1: twenty years and now he's once again cashing in on Brittany.
- 5:13Speaker 1: But that does not mean that what he's saying is
- 5:16Speaker 1: not true. Back in the day when the boys were young,
- 5:20Speaker 1: so it's probably like eighteen years ago, sixteen years ago,
- 5:22Speaker 1: I was the executive editor of ok magazine and we
- 5:25Speaker 1: interviewed Britney's nanny, A former nanny at her house, came
- 5:29Speaker 1: in and told us the most horrifying stories, so dark,
- 5:36Speaker 1: so disturbing, that we couldn't print a lot of them.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Okay was quite a friendly magazine, so a lot of
- 5:44Speaker 1: these stories. We wanted details about Brittany as a mom.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Those covers sell like crazy. We got Brittany as a nightmare.
- 5:52Speaker 1: We were We thought he'd be like, Oh, she puts
- 5:55Speaker 1: the kids to bed at seven o'clock and he sings them.
- 5:58Speaker 1: That's the story we wanted. And I sat down. I
- 6:01Speaker 1: was in the conference room, So if I hadn't been there, Corey,
- 6:03Speaker 1: I don't know if I tell the story. But I
- 6:05Speaker 1: wasn't the reporter. Courtney was the reporter. And I sat
- 6:08Speaker 1: with Courtney in the conference room with the nanny, and
- 6:11Speaker 1: I had all my questions, like what does she feed them?
- 6:13Speaker 1: What times together bed? One are the nursery rhymes? It
- 6:15Speaker 1: was gonna be really sort of like nice mommy story,
- 6:18Speaker 1: this Nanni stile. Basically, yeah, I was gripped, though, I've
- 6:25Speaker 1: got to emit. My eyes were like saucers. I couldn't
- 6:28Speaker 1: turn away. I was in there for like four hours.
- 6:30Speaker 1: I couldn't. But afterwards I was like, oh my goodness,
- 6:33Speaker 1: so I have really confirmation from the nanny that this
- 6:37Speaker 1: stuff happened. The question is, and it's our whole question
- 6:40Speaker 1: of the day, is should he be telling it? So
- 6:42Speaker 1: this clearly happened. He is now saying that Brittany used
- 6:45Speaker 1: cocaine while breast feeding. Shocking, shocking, shocking. But that question
- 6:49Speaker 1: is not about do you believe it or not? Our
- 6:52Speaker 1: question is should he be telling it? It is? It
- 6:56Speaker 1: is his story. These are these kids. When you say
- 6:58Speaker 1: it's Britney's story, is her story too. But two people
- 7:02Speaker 1: have a story, well, human beings, we interact, we both,
- 7:05Speaker 1: that's what my story is. So interested that's a different
- 7:08Speaker 1: angle you see it through.
- 7:09Speaker 2: And don't forget. He also mentions witnesses. He names the
- 7:12Speaker 2: names people who were there.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Her dad was there. He doesn't say her dad saw
- 7:16Speaker 1: her doing drugs, but her dad was at the club,
- 7:18Speaker 1: and her brother and her agent. He names names. Should
- 7:22Speaker 1: he be telling these stories? Not just that story? But
- 7:25Speaker 1: we're going to have stories come out of this book
- 7:27Speaker 1: for a week, and so what do you think should
- 7:30Speaker 1: he be doing this. Yes, oh no, go vote on
- 7:34Speaker 1: our Twitter page add naughty nice rob a Facebook page
- 7:38Speaker 1: is naughty and be sure to take back on Monday
- 7:41Speaker 1: to hear your results. Hey, Corey, what are you working on?
- 7:45Speaker 2: Yes? Well hashtag shooter scoop Ken reveal. Kim Kardashian is
- 7:49Speaker 2: finally opening up about the break up point in her
- 7:51Speaker 2: marriage to Kanye West. And it wasn't just like one
- 7:54Speaker 2: incident or one explosive fight, but she claims it was
- 7:58Speaker 2: years of emotional chaos and fear. Yeah, she says on
- 8:02Speaker 2: the call, her daddy. Speaking on call, her daddy, Kim
- 8:06Speaker 2: forty four years old, called the relationship toxic, and she
- 8:09Speaker 2: said that she had filed for divorce when she no
- 8:11Speaker 2: longer felt safe or emotionally safe, especially and financially safe,
- 8:15Speaker 2: which I thought was kind of interesting because in our minds,
- 8:19Speaker 2: she's like a bazillionaire, but there was a point where
- 8:21Speaker 2: she hadn't quite made her own money independently the way
- 8:23Speaker 2: we think she has. She was not that thing. I
- 8:26Speaker 2: think Kanye helped her get to that point as being
- 8:28Speaker 2: associated with him. But yeah, so she had unsettling feelings
- 8:32Speaker 2: all across the board, and she says the final straw
- 8:34Speaker 2: came when Kanye began to air their private family matters publicly,
- 8:39Speaker 2: including which I thought was a very personal thing, including
- 8:42Speaker 2: their decision to keep their first pregnancy, which would then
- 8:46Speaker 2: implicate they were discussing potentially having to terminate to pregnancy.
- 8:51Speaker 2: So yeah, that's very very personal. So she says she
- 8:54Speaker 2: just didn't like him talking bad about her family sharing
- 8:56Speaker 2: that personal info. And then this was crazy. She says, well,
- 9:00Speaker 2: I don't want to use that term lately, but this
- 9:01Speaker 2: is peculiar. We'll see. At one point she'd returned, she'd
- 9:05Speaker 2: return home to five Lamborghinis, like they just be sitting there,
- 9:10Speaker 2: and that's not a cheap purchase, Okay, Lamborghini one is expensive,
- 9:14Speaker 2: five of them. And then she said, like the next
- 9:15Speaker 2: day they'd all be gone. So Kanye was in some
- 9:18Speaker 2: sort of manic state with his purchasing and it's all
- 9:21Speaker 2: kind of scary for her, and so she says, I
- 9:23Speaker 2: had to save myself to be a better mom, and
- 9:25Speaker 2: that's when she knew it was over. So but Rob,
- 9:28Speaker 2: I want to ask you, why do you think she's
- 9:30Speaker 2: telling this story now? I Mean, it seems so past tense.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Is anyone asking about her and Kanye anymore.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Kim has a reality show on Who, so let's be clear.
- 9:39Speaker 1: I mean Kim's a wizard. She's doing press at the
- 9:42Speaker 1: the next season.
- 9:43Speaker 2: For the current season, I'll find out the stories.
- 9:46Speaker 1: And it's not like Nicole kit or Katie Holmes waiting
- 9:50Speaker 1: twenty years to talk about Tom Cruise, which they still haven't.
- 9:53Speaker 1: This is still quite fresh and there is an insight
- 9:57Speaker 1: into this marriage. I'm told too. It's a really good question.
- 9:59Speaker 1: I asked my friends that very question, who know Kim,
- 10:02Speaker 1: and they said that she didn't want a bad nou
- 10:05Speaker 1: with him. And when I say bad now with him,
- 10:07Speaker 1: that means telling the truth. She just didn't want to
- 10:09Speaker 1: do it because she thought she was protecting her kids.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Now she realizes that he has said such things about
- 10:15Speaker 1: her that if she doesn't respond, then there's only one
- 10:18Speaker 1: story out there. And I think was sympathetic to Kim. Here.
- 10:21Speaker 1: We all know who Kanye is. But it's so interesting
- 10:24Speaker 1: somebody with all Kim's money saying they just didn't feel
- 10:27Speaker 1: financially secure everything she worked for. You don't have to
- 10:30Speaker 1: like Kim, but you've got to admit she is a hustler.
- 10:32Speaker 1: She works works Works Works Works. One of the reasons.
- 10:35Speaker 1: All the TV shows love Kim is ours working with
- 10:37Speaker 1: Paris Hilton, and if you said to Paris, you have
- 10:39Speaker 1: to get to the Today Show at five am in
- 10:41Speaker 1: the morning for hair and makeup, and she's not doing that.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Where Kim does. Kim's on time. Kim turns up, She
- 10:47Speaker 1: turns up and him. You say to Kim, You've got
- 10:49Speaker 1: a whole day of press. She gives it her all,
- 10:51Speaker 1: every minute, all day. She does the work in a
- 10:54Speaker 1: way that a lot of celebrities don't want to do it,
- 10:57Speaker 1: particularly the younger celebrities or TikTok celebrities social influence, so
- 11:00Speaker 1: they don't want to do the work. Kim does the work.
- 11:02Speaker 1: So she'd worked her tail off, say her bottom off.
- 11:05Speaker 1: But we know that she worked a tail off to
- 11:08Speaker 1: make all this money. And he could give it all away,
- 11:10Speaker 1: he could blow it, he could go into the bank
- 11:12Speaker 1: account island in Jamaica or are some crazy stuff and
- 11:16Speaker 1: they give it to a friend, and so she didn't
- 11:19Speaker 1: feel secure. When you mess with someone's money, particularly Kardashian,
- 11:23Speaker 1: that's when they buy Kim. It's it's a really interesting story.
- 11:26Speaker 1: I'm glad that she's sharing it. Okay, moving along, did
- 11:29Speaker 1: He twins Jesse and Delilah have said no, thanks to
- 11:32Speaker 1: college out. They're focusing on fashion. So they're eighteen year
- 11:37Speaker 1: old twin daughters. Armed did He they were. They are
- 11:42Speaker 1: very smart young ladies, and I think a lot of
- 11:44Speaker 1: people in the family in cleaning did He hoped they
- 11:46Speaker 1: would go to college. Now they've decided they're going to
- 11:49Speaker 1: be models and influencers and it's all about business, not books.
- 11:55Speaker 1: And so we know this because Delilah put up an
- 11:57Speaker 1: Instagram post or a TikTok post that been deleted saying
- 12:02Speaker 1: we're not going to go to college and instead we're
- 12:04Speaker 1: gonna wear our brand of hoodies and we're gonna promote them.
- 12:09Speaker 1: It's tricky, isn't it. So I think as a parent,
- 12:11Speaker 1: you want your kids to do well, and you know,
- 12:14Speaker 1: I think going to college is part of that dream.
- 12:17Speaker 1: It's not happening for these two. I sort of love
- 12:20Speaker 1: the hustle. They don't need to do this, even with
- 12:22Speaker 1: Diddy locked up in jail. There's a lot of money
- 12:24Speaker 1: still in that family, so they don't need to make
- 12:26Speaker 1: the money. But I guess they want to step out
- 12:28Speaker 1: of their dad's shadow. Maybe they think this is the
- 12:30Speaker 1: moment to do. So I wish them well. I do
- 12:32Speaker 1: wish them well. I knew them when they were very young.
- 12:34Speaker 1: I worked for Diddy twenty years ago, so I knew
- 12:36Speaker 1: the boys. I don't think it'd had the girls yet,
- 12:39Speaker 1: the twins yet. That was about eighteen years ago. But
- 12:41Speaker 1: I'm told they're really lovely young ladies. They're going through
- 12:44Speaker 1: a lot with their dad. You can't blame the kids
- 12:47Speaker 1: for their parents' crimes, and so I wish them well.
- 12:49Speaker 1: It doesn't kind of feel like a great example. But
- 12:52Speaker 1: maybe I'm being old fashioned. Maybe going to college now,
- 12:54Speaker 1: I'm paying hundreds of thousands of dollars in tuition and
- 12:58Speaker 1: leaving with that debt, which I did not. You know,
- 13:00Speaker 1: it's a different world. I don't think it's a good change,
- 13:03Speaker 1: but I think it's a different world. What do you think?
- 13:05Speaker 2: Yeah, well, you know before you and I started our
- 13:07Speaker 2: show today, right, we had a conversation about AI, the
- 13:09Speaker 2: AI world. Right, So you have these kids now growing
- 13:12Speaker 2: up in a very different time period where the opportunities
- 13:16Speaker 2: that were there a long time ago may not be
- 13:17Speaker 2: there anymore. So you can't blame them for saying, I
- 13:20Speaker 2: have a dad who can provide a lot of opportunities
- 13:22Speaker 2: for us in this industry where we don't have to struggle,
- 13:26Speaker 2: we can just jump right in, you know, hit the
- 13:27Speaker 2: ground running. And I can't say I can't say I
- 13:30Speaker 2: would not do the same thing if I had opportunities.
- 13:33Speaker 2: So I do want to caution them. Caution them though,
- 13:36Speaker 2: I do wonder why they took the post down. So
- 13:39Speaker 2: there must have been something in it that seemed a
- 13:41Speaker 2: little off putting, maybe to the public, or boastfull, or
- 13:44Speaker 2: maybe arrogant, or I don't know, there was something that
- 13:46Speaker 2: made them take the post down.
- 13:47Speaker 1: That's timing too, with that dad still in jail and
- 13:50Speaker 1: him trying to get a pot, and like the timing
- 13:53Speaker 1: of it all probably feels really odd, but they they
- 13:56Speaker 1: did take it down. Okay, I love this story. Before
- 13:59Speaker 1: we go to break, we have found out the real
- 14:02Speaker 1: housewife that Andy Cohen hates the most. Yeah, who is it?
- 14:09Speaker 1: Teases Corey? Who is this? There's a lot of them,
- 14:12Speaker 1: and a lot of them have turned on him. A
- 14:14Speaker 1: lot of them do not say nice things about him.
- 14:16Speaker 1: So I don't exactly know if I know the answer.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Who Yeah, Well, I will tell you. I first thought
- 14:22Speaker 2: when I first saw this sole thing bubble up and
- 14:25Speaker 2: bubble up in the press. I thought it was going
- 14:26Speaker 2: to be Niny Leaks. I was gonna say, right, we
- 14:28Speaker 2: all would think it would be Nini, But it's not Needy.
- 14:31Speaker 2: So listen hashtag shooter Scoop can reveal that, after nearly
- 14:36Speaker 2: two decades of dealing with the Bravos biggest egos and
- 14:38Speaker 2: meltdowns and lawsuits and even jail time, the real housewife
- 14:42Speaker 2: Andy Cohen dislikes the most is not one of the
- 14:45Speaker 2: usual villains, but it's the one and only skinny herself.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Bethany Bethany.
- 14:53Speaker 2: That makes sense, Yeah, they say, you know, he's seen
- 14:55Speaker 2: it all, screaming reunions and divorces and mug shots, but
- 14:58Speaker 2: nothing hurt him like Bethany Frankle turning on him. A
- 15:01Speaker 2: Bravo insider has told he has to actually Scoop that
- 15:03Speaker 2: he opened his world to her in a way that
- 15:05Speaker 2: he never does. He introduced her to Kelly Ripper, like
- 15:09Speaker 2: the big power players Sarah, Jessica Parker and of course
- 15:11Speaker 2: Anderson Cooper. She was a big part of his inner circle.
- 15:15Speaker 2: And then she bit the hand that fed her and
- 15:17Speaker 2: he says, it's stung, and they're just not really cool anymore,
- 15:20Speaker 2: and I guess it's an irreparable relationship At this point, would.
- 15:23Speaker 1: You say, Rob, yeah, this makes sense. It's always the
- 15:25Speaker 1: ones that you love the most, or the ones that
- 15:27Speaker 1: you let in, that's the ones that hurt the most
- 15:29Speaker 1: because you care the most. He doesn't care about these ladies.
- 15:32Speaker 1: I know many of them, and it was a job.
- 15:34Speaker 1: He pretended to care, but they knew he didn't. Ye,
- 15:37Speaker 1: this was a monchy shaking job. They might as well be.
- 15:39Speaker 1: One of them told me they felt like there were
- 15:41Speaker 1: products like a can of baked beans. Well they were sold,
- 15:44Speaker 1: and they really were. And actually they were the smart ones. Bethany,
- 15:47Speaker 1: he led into his life, and he didn't do that
- 15:49Speaker 1: with a lot of them. Andy has a Christmas party
- 15:51Speaker 1: every New Year, every Christmas. Sorry, and he doesn't allow
- 15:54Speaker 1: the housewise except one Bethane. She was and he introduced
- 15:58Speaker 1: it to his friends. Yeah, and she was part of
- 16:01Speaker 1: that circle and she blew it. And so that's why
- 16:04Speaker 1: this one hurts the most. Okay, we're going to take
- 16:06Speaker 1: a quick break and we'll be right back. Welcome back
- 16:10Speaker 1: to the Naughty n Nice am your hair stump shoot
- 16:11Speaker 1: His idea friend Laury Andrew Hey, Corey let's get to
- 16:14Speaker 1: the polls. Last year we talked about Britney's melting down
- 16:18Speaker 1: over this book. It's just too much. She's picking a scam.
- 16:21Speaker 1: She's really vulnerable. The last thing she needs is all
- 16:24Speaker 1: this out there. A question is are you worried about Britney.
- 16:27Speaker 1: Let's eighty five percent said yes, Yes, you are always.
- 16:31Speaker 2: We're always worried about break even.
- 16:33Speaker 1: Before this book, was worried about Brittany. Hey, don't forget
- 16:35Speaker 1: to vote on today's poule. Going to the page at
- 16:38Speaker 1: Naughty Nice Rama Facebook page is Naughty Gossip. I'm sure
- 16:41Speaker 1: to check back at Monday to hear your results. And now,
- 16:44Speaker 1: oh it's time Nice of the Day.
- 16:51Speaker 2: Yes, I think this is a really sweet story and
- 16:53Speaker 2: I'm hoping it gives her some some comfort as well.
- 16:57Speaker 2: Miss Jennifer Lopez, we were talking about now she's had a
- 16:59Speaker 2: wake up car from her kids and they told her
- 17:02Speaker 2: you are not a regular mom. And they were commenting
- 17:04Speaker 2: on the fact that they didn't see her a whole
- 17:06Speaker 2: lot because she's so career driven and career focused, and
- 17:09Speaker 2: so she's now getting real about that moment and how
- 17:11Speaker 2: it changed her parenting forever. And that's when Max and Emmy,
- 17:14Speaker 2: her twins, came up and told her, hey, mom, you're
- 17:17Speaker 2: not around enough. So it was during a candid chat
- 17:19Speaker 2: on The Howard Stern Show. She just did that interview,
- 17:21Speaker 2: which was I thought was really good. Actually agreed, and
- 17:24Speaker 2: she recalled her kids saying, hey, you know you're not
- 17:26Speaker 2: a regular mom. You're not here every day. And she
- 17:28Speaker 2: says that confrontation really helped her. It happened during the
- 17:31Speaker 2: pandemic and when she finally slowed down and realized her
- 17:34Speaker 2: children needed more than just fame and fortune. She says,
- 17:36Speaker 2: you know what, it hit me hard. They need more,
- 17:39Speaker 2: They need my time, and they needed me to give
- 17:41Speaker 2: them more than just things. And so I love this
- 17:44Speaker 2: because you know, Diana Ross, I've often talked about, one
- 17:46Speaker 2: of the biggest stars at one point in the world,
- 17:49Speaker 2: has raised the most grounded, beautiful, compassionate, kind children. And
- 17:54Speaker 2: so you do have to still be there if you're
- 17:56Speaker 2: a parent, even if you're famous, to put that work
- 17:58Speaker 2: and put that time in. So I'm glad you really it.
- 18:01Speaker 1: It's the nicest the day, absolutely, but it is an
- 18:04Speaker 1: important message. You don't have to just think about your children,
- 18:07Speaker 1: any relationship in your life. Put the time in do
- 18:09Speaker 1: the effort. I've been so touched recently since my dad
- 18:12Speaker 1: passed that how many people have texted or dmd or
- 18:14Speaker 1: or sent noes. It's really beautiful. I won't forget that
- 18:17Speaker 1: it takes seconds to fire off a DM or to
- 18:20Speaker 1: send a text to do it. Don't ever think that
- 18:23Speaker 1: the other person's too busy. They're not just the simple text.
- 18:26Speaker 1: It's such a lovely thing. Oh, I want to invest
- 18:29Speaker 1: the time and nicest the day now I noticed the
- 18:31Speaker 1: day Oprah. So she faces a backlash as old clips
- 18:36Speaker 1: are surfacing. Oprah is in a major meltdown murd at
- 18:40Speaker 1: the moment after old clips have resurfaced, sparkling daca's usations
- 18:44Speaker 1: Corey that she disrespected and she demeaned black guests during
- 18:49Speaker 1: her shows. Heyday Tony Braxton clip is out there and
- 18:53Speaker 1: Oprah really goes in deep. Tony was in financial trouble,
- 18:57Speaker 1: Oprah grilled her. Then fan they unearthed more footage saying
- 19:02Speaker 1: that Oprah banned hip hop from her show. She wouldn't
- 19:05Speaker 1: have fifty cent on ice Cube, Ludicrous or even jay
- 19:08Speaker 1: Z and that didn't change until Beyonce sort of came along.
- 19:12Speaker 1: So far, Oprah has not said anything but the Internet.
- 19:16Speaker 1: It's saying a lot. And as one person posted, I
- 19:19Speaker 1: was really stunned by this. Corey Oprah built. Oprah didn't built.
- 19:24Speaker 1: Oprah didn't build her empire by empowering black people. Yeah,
- 19:28Speaker 1: she built it by pleasing white audiences. I'd never thought
- 19:32Speaker 1: about it. There's some truth to that, you know what.
- 19:35Speaker 2: I wish we had more time because this one really
- 19:37Speaker 2: hit hard for me, but I'll try and sum it up.
- 19:38Speaker 2: I don't agree with that at all. Oprah grilled Tony
- 19:42Speaker 2: Braxton because Tony Braxton put her business out there and
- 19:45Speaker 2: Oprah asked her, girl, how are you bankrupt right now?
- 19:48Speaker 2: With all the hits, all the success, and she didn't.
- 19:50Speaker 2: If she didn't want to talk about that, why would
- 19:52Speaker 2: you go on? Oprah, who was the number one interviewer
- 19:55Speaker 2: in the world's going to ask You're right and quickly.
- 19:58Speaker 2: On the hip hop thing, was very specific about not
- 20:01Speaker 2: having rappers on because she did not approve of the
- 20:03Speaker 2: messaging of violence, the N word, the sexism, the misogyny,
- 20:09Speaker 2: and she when she finally did have jay Z on,
- 20:11Speaker 2: she brought that up. They talked about the inn words
- 20:14Speaker 2: specifically and how she does not agree with the use
- 20:17Speaker 2: and she gave him a chance to explain why they
- 20:19Speaker 2: use it. And so she actually did a lot by
- 20:23Speaker 2: not allowing that language on her platform to help black people.
- 20:26Speaker 2: So that is how I would just kind of like
- 20:28Speaker 2: to spend that around.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Thank you, Thank you for that perspective. Now we really
- 20:32Speaker 1: did need it, Corey. End of the moment. Silence doesn't
- 20:36Speaker 1: mean you have nothing to say. It means you're choosing
- 20:38Speaker 1: your peace. There's power in not reacting. You don't have
- 20:43Speaker 1: to attend every single argument you were invited to, invited
- 20:47Speaker 1: to so many arguments. My whole day it is, I'm
- 20:51Speaker 1: invited to ten arguments a day. I don't have to
- 20:53Speaker 1: go to all of them. You don't have to explain
- 20:55Speaker 1: yourself to people who are committed to misunderstanding. Give you
- 20:58Speaker 1: don't want to understand. Maybe doesn't matter what I say,
- 21:01Speaker 1: you do not want to understand me. So I've learned
- 21:03Speaker 1: that silence isn't weakness, it's control. When you stop needing
- 21:07Speaker 1: the last word, which I always do, but no more.
- 21:10Speaker 1: When you stop needing the last word, you start reclaiming
- 21:14Speaker 1: your energy. Peace justn't always raw. Sometimes it simply walks away.
- 21:23Speaker 1: Is it for this week? Thank you? So much for listening,
- 21:26Speaker 1: so they're not even nice with Robin Corey, show of Production,
- 21:28Speaker 1: and help us to ran an iHeart Radio. Don't forget
