- 0:27Hey everybody, good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:30The day after Thanksgiving when we all start feeling like so
- 0:36overloaded. We ate too much.
- 0:37We indulged too much. I had way too much sugar
- 0:39yesterday. And apparently it's one of those
- 0:44feelings that everybody gets the day after somebody starts to
- 0:47feel something, whether it's that move to hurry up and finish
- 0:51out the month because, you know, we only have two days left.
- 0:54It's Thanksgiving came very late this year for those of us in
- 0:57America, but it's still at the end of November.
- 1:00Everybody starts to get very much like, OK, there's only one
- 1:04month to go. And I'm here today to remind you
- 1:07that because we have just two days left in this month, today
- 1:11and tomorrow, it might be really good to not future pace
- 1:15ourselves right into December and figuring out all the crazy
- 1:19things that we have to get done. I mean, I have a list a mile
- 1:22long. We want to launch a course.
- 1:24There's so many things happening.
- 1:26However, however, it is very, very smart to say, OK, I'm going
- 1:30to look at these next two days and see exactly just what's
- 1:35going to make me feel like I'm grateful for the rest of this
- 1:38month because this whole week was about gratitude.
- 1:41So stop and pause and start to take in some different
- 1:45perspectives of things potentially.
- 1:47You know, yesterday is a perfect example.
- 1:49I was laughing about it because I, I like to find, I like find
- 1:53finding things, going out and finding things.
- 1:55So we're driving down the road because I forgot ice cream.
- 1:58We're driving down the road to go get some and we see that
- 2:02somebody has thrown out part of a little tiny kids playset and
- 2:07it's stairs. It's like stairs that went up to
- 2:09something like one of those plastic sets.
- 2:12And I was, I looked at it and I like it caught my eye because
- 2:14it's bright purple on the side of the road.
- 2:17And my husband's like, oh, no, I was like, no, it would be
- 2:20perfect for the chicken coop because they have an auto door.
- 2:22And when that auto door slides open, there's always been a
- 2:26plank that comes down and they just come down the little plank.
- 2:29So I was like, no, these are perfect stairs.
- 2:31And they're nice and wide. So when they come out, everybody
- 2:33can come out together. They're perfect.
- 2:35And he was like, all right, so we're stopping.
- 2:37He's like, I think they're going to be too tall.
- 2:38I'm like, they're not, they're perfect.
- 2:40I just knew it. I could like measure this that
- 2:42by the site. I'm out here a lot, right?
- 2:44So I go and I get them. They fit perfectly, everything
- 2:48looks great. I'm so excited and their
- 2:52perspective is mom, what the hell is this?
- 2:55And they won't use the stairs. Last night they would not use
- 2:58the stairs to go in. They were all standing there
- 3:00looking at it like now they have another way in.
- 3:02They have the big front doors, but they get in their patterns
- 3:05just like we do. And they wouldn't didn't want to
- 3:08go in. So they had to all change their
- 3:09pattern and like walk around the side and go in the main doors.
- 3:13So I figured this morning when the auto door opens, they're all
- 3:16going to want to go down it. They all stood there.
- 3:19No, the first chicken was would not go down.
- 3:21Their perspective of this whole thing was very different than
- 3:25mine. And I started laughing and I
- 3:26said, I'm so grateful that they, that that happened and that I
- 3:29saw it this morning because I really wanted to see them come
- 3:32out and be excited about it, but they weren't excited about it.
- 3:36So I, if I had been in this place where I was hurry up and
- 3:39go and I was out and I was shopping already, I would have
- 3:42missed it. And granted, for some people,
- 3:44this day, you know, Black Friday is a day where everybody's out
- 3:47shopping. It's all over the news.
- 3:49Everybody's out shopping, but you're also slow down and don't
- 3:52miss things. Stop, have coffee with your
- 3:55friends. If you're in that, take the time
- 3:57to pause these next couple of days.
- 3:59Find that space in which you can really truly pause and feel good
- 4:04about it because I promise you that that makes it all the
- 4:07better. Today I plan on going out and
- 4:09doing some stuff myself, but I'm not going to make it a rush.
- 4:12I'm just going to make it like I'm having fun.
- 4:15I'm going to go have lunch. I'm going to be with my family.
- 4:18And I'm going to just say, all right, if we get stuff done, we
- 4:20get stuff done. And if we don't, we don't
- 4:22because this last couple days is hyper gratitude.
- 4:26And that's what we want to focus on, being in hyper gratitude for
- 4:29all the stuff that's happening, all the stuff that's around us
- 4:32that's good, bad or indifferent. We have to be grateful that
- 4:35we're even here to observe, serve it at this point.
- 4:37So I hope you guys have something today that you can be
- 4:40really grateful for. Find it, look for it, seek it
- 4:43out. And even as I'm talking to you,
- 4:45what's so funny about this is one brave girl is walking up the
- 4:49stairs right now and it is cute. All right, my friends, I hope
- 4:53you have a blessed day and I will see you all tomorrow.
- 4:56Bye.
