  SPEAKER_00: Because knowledge is moving fast.

  SPEAKER_00: News moves fast.

  SPEAKER_00: Opinions move fast.

  SPEAKER_00: Technology moves fast.

  SPEAKER_00: People make decisions fast.
• 0:24
  SPEAKER_00: People get angry too fast.

  SPEAKER_00: People share things fast.
• 0:30
  SPEAKER_00: But wisdom does not always move fast.

  SPEAKER_00: Wisdom often pauses.

  SPEAKER_00: Wisdom prays.

  SPEAKER_00: Wisdom listens.

  SPEAKER_00: Wisdom waits long enough to ask, Lord, is this right?

  SPEAKER_00: Knowledge can tell us what is possible.

  SPEAKER_00: Wisdom helps us know what is right.

  SPEAKER_00: Knowledge can gather facts.

  SPEAKER_00: Wisdom helps us apply the truth.

  SPEAKER_00: Knowledge may fill the mind, but wisdom shares the heart.

  SPEAKER_00: A person can know how to do something and still not know whether they should do it or not.

  SPEAKER_00: A person can have answers and still lack direction.

  SPEAKER_00: That is why we need more than information.

  SPEAKER_00: We need understanding.

  SPEAKER_00: We need discernment.

  SPEAKER_00: We need the fear of the Lord.

  SPEAKER_00: Peter gives us a good example.

  SPEAKER_00: In Acts 2, Peter preached the salvation message to the Jews.

  SPEAKER_00: In Acts 8, that same gospel went to the Samaritans.

  SPEAKER_00: And in Acts 10, Peter preached to the Gentiles.

  SPEAKER_00: The audience changed, but the truth did not change.

  SPEAKER_00: That is wisdom, knowing that God's truth does not need to be rewritten for every generation.

  SPEAKER_00: Lord, when your word says something I disagree with because of tradition or counsels, help me to believe your word, even when it is hard, even when people oppose it, even when it costs me something.

  SPEAKER_00: Help me choose Scripture over tradition and truth over comfort.

  SPEAKER_00: Proverbs 9 and 10 says the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

  SPEAKER_00: That means real wisdom starts with reverence before God, not pride, not self-confidence, not public opinion, not what everybody else is doing.

  SPEAKER_00: Wisdom begins when we say, Lord, you are God and I am not.

  SPEAKER_00: It begins when we honor His word above our feelings.

  SPEAKER_00: It begins when we care more about pleasing Him than when in an argument.

  SPEAKER_00: James 1 and 5 also says, if any of us lack wisdom, we should ask God, and He gives generously.

  SPEAKER_00: Now that's good news.

  SPEAKER_00: We do not have to face this age alone.

  SPEAKER_00: We can ask, we can pray, we can pause before we speak, pause before we post, decide or react.

  SPEAKER_00: Sometimes the wisest thing we can do is slow down long enough to pray before we send the message, before we read the story, before we believe the rumor or take the next step.

  SPEAKER_00: Ask God for wisdom.

  SPEAKER_00: Psalms 111 and ten says the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and a good understanding have all they that do His commandments.

  SPEAKER_00: Notice that wisdom is connected to obedience.

  SPEAKER_00: It is not just knowing Bible verses, it is living them.

  SPEAKER_00: It is not just talking about faith, it is walking in faith.

  SPEAKER_00: It is not just hearing truth, it is doing truth.

  SPEAKER_00: When knowledge increases, obedience must not decrease.

  SPEAKER_00: The more we know, the more carefully we should walk.

  SPEAKER_00: So today, ask God for wisdom.

  SPEAKER_00: Ask him to guide your thoughts.

  SPEAKER_00: Ask him to guard your heart.

  SPEAKER_00: Ask him to help you use knowledge with humility, patience, and love.

  SPEAKER_00: Ask him to help you know when to speak and when to be quiet.

  SPEAKER_00: Ask him to help you know what to believe and what to leave alone.

  SPEAKER_00: Ask him to help you choose what is true over what is simply popular.

  SPEAKER_00: In a world full of voices we need the voice of the shepherd.

  SPEAKER_00: In a world full of information we need the mind of Christ.

  SPEAKER_00: Slow down, pray first, search the scriptures, walk carefully, love deeply, and let wisdom lead the way.
