- 2:23guard Malik Beasley is being investigated by the US District
- 2:28Attorney's Office for gambling allegations during a 2023 NBA
- 2:33season with the box. Evidence from well known sports
- 2:38noticed some unusual activity starting in January of 2024,
- 2:43especially with prop bets. Beasley's agent, Steve Haney
- 2:48told ESPN that an investigation is not a charge and gets the
- 2:54same rights of innocence as anybody else.
- 2:58The investigation also revealed that Beasley didn't pay a
- 3:01650,000 payment on time based on a lawsuit from his former
- 3:07marketing agency. He is also liable to pay 2.25
- 3:11million for violating violating a breach of a contract with Azan
- 3:17Sports Management Group. Back in April, Beasley was in
- 3:22negotiations on a three-year deal to return with Detroit, but
- 3:26those negotiations were put on hold amidst this absolute
- 3:31scandal. Last year's.
- 3:34Last year, Jonte Porter was suspended indefinitely by the
- 3:37NBA after pleading guilty to wire fraud and conspiracy with
- 3:42gambling. Let me tell you guys something.
- 3:45Jonte Porter is no longer going to be an NBA player.
- 3:51That's the facts here. Adam Silver, if it was LeBron
- 3:55James, if, if it was LeBron James, the LJA himself betting
- 4:01on sports, he would have had a slap on the wrist.
- 4:03Slap on the wrist. That's a fact.
- 4:06OK. But because it's John Day
- 4:07Porter, it's like it's not Michael Porter Junior, and John
- 4:11Day Porter is Michael Porter Junior's brother.
- 4:14OK? John Day Porter will never step
- 4:16on a basketball court ever again in the G League or the NBA ever,
- 4:22because of this betting scandal. Now, Mike Malik Beasley is a
- 4:26good player. Is he a superstar player?
- 4:28No. The fact that obviously the
- 4:31District Attorney is investigating this situation,
- 4:35obviously there's some kind of story to it that he is not
- 4:39saying. There is some evidence that
- 4:42states that Beasley had some kind of involvement on this
- 4:46betting scandal with the box, with the buck game.
- 4:50I don't know the truth and I don't know the inside source.
- 4:53The fact is, I don't understand. If you're not betting against
- 4:58your team, I don't think there should be a problem with betting
- 5:01on sports. I don't think you should be
- 5:04allowed to bet on any of the games that you're playing in.
- 5:07That's what I think. But any other game outside of
- 5:10the lines of the game that you're playing, where you're
- 5:13going to affect the game, you can affect the game.
- 5:16It does. It shouldn't matter that these
- 5:18players are putting their own money in the game.
- 5:21Now, obviously there's some inside sources.
- 5:23They know referees, We all know that, but they're not the only
- 5:26ones. You're telling me right now
- 5:27Vegas doesn't have connections with the referees, with the
- 5:30league. Of course they do.
- 5:31How would they get it? Why are why is Vegas?
- 5:34I wouldn't say 90%, sixty, 8% of the time, right?
- 5:39They're 68% of the time, right? Because they have an inside
- 5:42source, duh. So why couldn't the players do
- 5:46it if the NBA could do it? And the NBA is making money on
- 5:49betting. They're 100% making money on
- 5:51betting millions, hundreds of millions of dollars every single
- 5:55year. Now.
- 5:56Meanwhile, the players, when they, they have their hands
- 5:59dipped or they want to make some money out of betting on certain
- 6:02sports games or even not their own games, but other games going
- 6:06on in the league, why can't they bet on sports?
- 6:08It makes no sense. Now with the District Attorney.
- 6:12I, I don't know what the, the United States or how the United
- 6:16States work when it comes to betting.
- 6:17Was it in an illegal state where you can't bet?
- 6:19I, I don't know why the District Attorney is involved with this,
- 6:23because this is an NBA thing, not a world thing.
- 6:26This is not a United States thing.
- 6:28So I don't understand why the District Attorney is involved
- 6:31with it unless he was doing something illegally where he is
- 6:34stealing money. That's, that's the only thing,
- 6:37stealing from taxes, tax evasion.
- 6:40I don't know why the District Attorney is involved with this.
- 6:43I got to read more about it, but obviously there's evidence that
- 6:46he was working with a sports bookie and and there are a lot
- 6:49of players doing it. And obviously Shay Otani was
- 6:53doing it, but he got away with it because the MLB knows that
- 6:56Shay Otani is one of the faces of their internationally
- 7:00international baseball. And they know that if Shay Otani
- 7:03was caught with that, his career is over.
- 7:05When it comes to baseball, Malik Beasley is not important.
- 7:08LeBron James, different guy. He's the face of he's still the
- 7:11face of the NBA. If Giannis did it, you think you
- 7:14don't think the NBA would get involved and try to hide it or
- 7:16push it under the rug or any of you?
- 7:18And Joel Embiid, the big mouth that he is.
- 7:20If Joel Embiid was doing it, obviously the NBA would have
- 7:23brushed it on the rug or done something to protect their
- 7:25superstar player. It is a big problem.
- 7:28And if you're going to go after the, the, the, what do they call
- 7:31them? The, the smaller puppy?
- 7:33Is that what they call him the lower door market teams?
- 7:35No, no, no, I'm talking about the player.
- 7:37You're going. You're going after the puppy
- 7:39instead. Of you're not going after the
- 7:41whale, you're going after the. Minnow, there you go, you're
- 7:43going out, you're going after the minnow instead of the well.
- 7:46And the truth is if LeBron James is betting, which he probably is
- 7:49and I, I'm not, I'm not going to try to beat around a Bush.
- 7:52You're going to tell me that LeBron James when he goes to
- 7:54these MMA fights and he's going to these boxing fights, he's not
- 7:57betting on those sports. Come on guys, what kind of what
- 8:01kind of person do you think we are if we wouldn't believe that
- 8:04LeBron James is betting on sports?
- 8:05He's a multi millionaire and throwing away two $3,000,000.
- 8:09Look what Drake did. I mean, Drake week in and week
- 8:12out, a fight is out out there. He's throwing $3,000,000 here,
- 8:15$4 million there, two and a half million here.
- 8:18He doesn't care because it's it's the money that these guys
- 8:21are making. It's endless.
- 8:23But a guy like me, if I'm throwing two and a half million
- 8:25dollars, you best be known that I'm going to know who I'm
- 8:28betting on and I am I'm almost 100% sure that he's going to
- 8:32pull out a win. Malik Beasley doesn't know
- 8:34what's going on. He might have an inside source
- 8:37where it's telling him that it's going to be around these points
- 8:39or it's going to be around the over under.
- 8:42I don't know. But the problem right now lies
- 8:44with Vegas, not with the players and not with the referees.
- 8:48It lies with Vegas. Because if Vegas knows what's
- 8:50going on and they have the answers to everything that's
- 8:53going on, why shouldn't the players get the information and
- 8:56bet on it too? And that's what's tough with
- 8:58this kind of situation too, because you're right, there
- 9:00probably is another source now. It's interesting.
- 9:02I know they were saying it was prop bets.
- 9:03It doesn't seem like it was on his game specifically because he
- 9:07actually still played really well that year.
- 9:09Like Jonte Porter, the situation with him was he actually, he
- 9:12actually was actively tanking a lot of his games to get prop
- 9:14bets on the under I there's no evidence that suggests that
- 9:17would. Let me ask you a question on the
- 9:19Pistons. Malik Beasley is playing on a
- 9:20Piston team, a young team. You think Malik Beasley is the
- 9:23only player on that roster that was betting on whatever he was
- 9:27betting on? Come on.
- 9:28Probably not not. He's a first of all, He's a
- 9:30young guy. He's a young guy, by the way,
- 9:32Killed the Knicks, killed the Knicks in the first round.
- 9:35He absolutely dominated the boards against the Knicks.
- 9:38He he put a lot, he made a lot of problems for OG and Anobi
- 9:41when he was defending OG and Anobi.
- 9:43I, I, I think Malik Beasley is actually a pretty good player.
- 9:46He's still young, he's still developing.
- 9:48But to put it on like you were saying as a Jabba, he is not a
- 9:51whale and the NBA don't care about him.
- 9:54They if if these stories to be true and they come out to be
- 9:57true, if the NBA suspended for life, it wouldn't matter.
- 10:00But if it was anybody else, it would be Anthony Edwards.
- 10:03Could you imagine if Anthony Edwards is involved in the
- 10:06scandal, how big this would be? Nobody cares about Malik
- 10:09Beasley. Nobody even knows who he is.
- 10:11Unless you're a Detroit fan or you're a basketball fan.
- 10:14Nobody knows who Malik Beasley is.
- 10:16Nobody. Anthony Edwards loses $1 million
- 10:18at a bet he'll find 5 other people to blame before himself.
- 10:21That's what I'm saying. But if it's anybody else, Jalen,
- 10:24you're. Going to do it, be smart about
- 10:26it. And it goes back to the story we
- 10:27had last year too, with Kevin Durant, too.
- 10:29Kevin Durant was something in as a as a FanDuel analyst during
- 10:32the NFL season, I think before the basketball season started,
- 10:35he was helping out making bats too.
- 10:37But meanwhile, John T Porter obviously gets to spend for
- 10:40pretty much for life barring some miracle.
- 10:42And then Malik Beasley where he's being investigated too.
- 10:45But no, Kevin Durant could be a FanDuel analyst no problem and
- 10:48get football bets out. And Jake, like you're saying in
- 10:51the in the private chat there, you could bet on the NFLI guess.
- 10:53But again, why is he doing it publicly and him getting away
- 10:57with it? Because LeBron James association
- 10:59has no problem with Kevin Durant has been the other face of their
- 11:02league for quite a while. They'll get no problem.
- 11:03But Malik Beasley, a young kid who won a won a championship
- 11:06with a Nuggets, a good bench player, like you said, a pretty
- 11:09good player with the Pistons this year to help their young
- 11:11team and he's going to get, he's not going to get away with it to
- 11:13the same level. How old is Malik?
- 11:15Malik, I believe is 27. I want to.
- 11:17Say, still young, he's still a kid and he's going to make
- 11:20mistakes. But again, he is not the only
- 11:23NBA player that is doing he's not right.
- 11:26And I like you said Kevin Durant, Kevin Durant had how
- 11:28many Twitter feeds he had like 7 or 8 when that came out, nobody
- 11:32cared when Kyrie Irving sent out anti-Semitic views, nobody
- 11:36cared. As a matter of fact, Adam
- 11:38Silver, who is a Jew, he's a Jewish man.
- 11:40He didn't really do anything. He sat down with Kyrie Irving
- 11:43and pretty much said, listen, Kyrie, we're going to we're
- 11:46going to find you. We're going to suspend you for a
- 11:47couple of games and we're going to bring you back.
- 11:49I want you to apologize to the net fans.
- 11:51He apologized to the net fans. He gets traded a couple weeks
- 11:53later, he goes to Dallas at his press conference right in front
- 11:57of Adam Silver and said, I take back what I said.
- 12:00I take back my apology. I have a right to say and reach
- 12:03to my opinion. And I said what I said because I
- 12:06feel that it was right. So and and and Adam Silver
- 12:09allowed him to say those things and not punish him.
- 12:12But if it was Malik Beasley or Porter or any of these small
- 12:16known unknown guys, he would have dropped a hammer on them
- 12:19for doing something like. That was like 3 or 4 guys on the
- 12:22next that were doing it too. And then they didn't and then
- 12:24they got back covered up so badly.
- 12:26And again, it's just a matter of like, like you said, class
- 12:29record and again, other sports too, comparing him like the NFL,
- 12:32we Calvin Ridley got a whole year.
- 12:34Jameson Williams got 10 games this year for the same kind of
- 12:36thing. Like you're trying to set an
- 12:38example with that where the NFL doesn't have that kind of power
- 12:40with the players. Now they have player power when
- 12:42it comes to like going where they want to go and stuff, but
- 12:44not to the same level of like they're running the league.
- 12:45Like the NBA is like the NBA, the LJA, LeBron James
- 12:49Association, They've been driven by these stars trying to drive
- 12:52it up. The Players League.
- 12:53Yeah. And and that's going to be more
- 12:54encouraged if these other. How many owners lost their teams
- 12:59because of the players? And now I'm not saying the
- 13:01owners were right for what they did because they were racist.
- 13:04They were disgusting people and what they've done in their past,
- 13:07but the NBA took those teams. The players took those teams
- 13:11away from the owners. They had to sell those teams
- 13:14because of what they did in the past.
- 13:16Again, they were not right for what they did and they
- 13:18apologized for what they did, but they did it.
- 13:21And the NBA players said, listen, we're not playing for
- 13:24any owner that's racist like that.
- 13:26So you know what, either you either you sell your team or
- 13:29we're not going to be stepping on your basketball court.
- 13:31And what happened, Remember Chris Paul, remember with the LA
- 13:34Clippers, Chris Paul had like this like picket fence staying
- 13:39that he did in front of LA where he said he will not play for
- 13:42this owner again. And what happened after that?
- 13:44And what was it, I forget the owners name again, Donald
- 13:46Sterling, Donald Sterling. Within weeks, Donald Sterling.
- 13:49Sterling had to sell to the biggest bidder and he got rid of
- 13:53his team just as quick. Because the NBA is run by the
- 13:57players now. You don't see that in the MLB.
- 13:59If there's something like that happening in the MLB, no, the
- 14:02owners would have been fine. They would have sat down with
- 14:04the other owners and they would have figured something out.
- 14:06Or even the NFL. You wouldn't see an NFL team do
- 14:09that or or players can't do that.
- 14:12We have seen so many things over the years in all different
- 14:15professional sports, but the NBA seems to be run by who?
- 14:19It's been run by 1 and the one and only players.
- 14:22That's all. ESPN reports that LeBron James
- 14:24has opted into a 52 point, $2.6 million player option with the
- 14:31Lakers for this season. LeBron says he knows the Lakers
- 14:35will be very active this offseason, especially with new
- 14:38ownership buying the team for $10 billion.
- 14:42Rich Paul says that LeBron wants to compete for a championship
- 14:46and understands that the Lakers will still want to build for the
- 14:51future. Paul added that there's no
- 14:54guarantees LeBron will stay with the Lakers after the season,
- 14:57thinking the new ownership might want to build around Luka
- 15:02Doncic. He mentioned that the Warriors
- 15:04reached out about trading for him in February of 2024, and the
- 15:09Heat were open to reuniting with him if they were unable to trade
- 15:15Jimmy Butler. Kevin Love, when he saw LeBron
- 15:19recently, said that Lebron's wife badly wants him to retire
- 15:24after the season. LeBron averaged 24.4 points per
- 15:27game, 8.2 assists per game, and 7.8 rebounds per game in this
- 15:33past season. All right, and, and we all know
- 15:36that LeBron James runs the league.
- 15:37I call it the LJ. There's no argument to that.
- 15:40LeBron James came back because he's making $52.6 million.
- 15:44I know his wife wants him to retire.
- 15:46He's been on how many SP awards claiming that he might not come
- 15:50back. And then he is coming back over
- 15:53the last two years during the playoffs after being eliminated,
- 15:57he's come out and said he doesn't know if he's going to
- 15:59come back. And then he automatically comes
- 16:01in and he opts into with a contract.
- 16:04LeBron James is probably going to retire after this year.
- 16:07Now, unless the the the Golden State Warriors are one of these
- 16:10big time NBA teams, maybe even the Houston Rockets, because the
- 16:15Houston Rockets are a team that's rebuilding and have a
- 16:17chance with a young coach and a Duca.
- 16:20Maybe the Rockets would combine him with Kevin Durant over there
- 16:24in Houston and try to make a run for an NBA title.
- 16:27But LeBron James is probably playing his final season as an
- 16:31NBA player. He's, he's building his podcast.
- 16:34He has all these different production companies, he's got
- 16:37all these different assets that he's invested in over the last
- 16:41really last 10 years. And he's one of the most, he's
- 16:44one of the more richer athletes we've seen come out of
- 16:46professional sports in history. The fact is, Luka Dodgek is the
- 16:51young superstar. He's going to be 26 years old
- 16:54going into the season. He lost a lot of weight.
- 16:57So far what we've heard, he's lost 20 lbs.
- 17:00He was at one of the NBA playoff games.
- 17:02It looked like he he lost at least 20 lbs, maybe even £15.
- 17:06He looks like he's in a really good shape.
- 17:08And with new ownership, $10 billion that they obviously
- 17:12invested into buying the Lakers, I expect the Lakers and new
- 17:16ownership to build around Luka Dodgek.
- 17:18Now LeBron James is still going to make his $52.6 million if the
- 17:22Lakers fall out this going this coming season and and Luka
- 17:27Doncic isn't enough with LeBron James.
- 17:29I could see LeBron James getting traded at the trade deadline.
- 17:32Reason why is there going to be a ton of teams lining up for a
- 17:35play of this magnitude. LeBron James is still averaging
- 17:3824 points, 8 rebounds. I mean 8 assists in seven
- 17:41rebounds. If you look at his career
- 17:43statistics, LeBron James is a career 2728 point scorer, 8
- 17:49assists, 8 1/2 assists a game, and 7:00 to 8:00 rebounds a game
- 17:54in his career. So LeBron James is still at the
- 17:56top of his game. Now, LeBron James is not the
- 17:59defender he once was, and LeBron James cannot keep up with some
- 18:03of the younger players that we've seen over the last couple
- 18:05of years in the NBA. But he's still a sensational
- 18:08player. He's still one of the elite
- 18:09players in the NBA. If you were to look at LeBron
- 18:11right now and, and, and put him in the top 15, top 20, I don't
- 18:15think you can argue LeBron James is a top 15, top 17 player right
- 18:19now in the NBA. But the Lakers are going to look
- 18:22to go young. Austin Reeves turned down a $96
- 18:26million contract this offseason. I think he wants to go to free
- 18:30agency next year and see what free agency is going to offer
- 18:32him. And with new ownership now it's
- 18:35going to be a little bit different for the Lakers and
- 18:38where the Lakers organization is going to go in the future.
- 18:41The only reason why LeBron James came to the Lakers, it was
- 18:44because of the bus family. The bus family don't own the
- 18:47organization anymore. Now you're going to look at
- 18:50LeBron James and and think that LeBron James is looking to win
- 18:53that 5th title to tie Kobe Bryant to be considered arguably
- 18:58the greatest, greatest basketball player of all time.
- 19:00Now, we all know he's not Michael Jordan, but if he gets
- 19:04his fifth championship, if he goes to Golden State or he goes
- 19:06to Houston, or maybe if he goes to OK C and wins another title,
- 19:11then you could start to consider or people will start even
- 19:14considering the argument that he is as good or even better than
- 19:18Michael Jordan. LeBron James practically has
- 19:22every single playoff statistic, regular season statistic.
- 19:26He is broken record after record after record.
- 19:29There's nothing LeBron James needs to do to prove that he's
- 19:32the second greatest basketball player of all time.
- 19:34I believe that's what LeBron James is.
- 19:36A lot of people would argue me, argue with me.
- 19:39They'll say Kareemethal Jabbar, they'll say Kobe Bryant, they'll
- 19:42say Tim Duncan, they'll say Hakeem Olajuwen, Larry Bird,
- 19:45Magic Johnson. You could put all these guys
- 19:49amongst the best players right behind Michael Jordan.
- 19:52But the fact is LeBron James is coming back because he's making
- 19:56$52.6 million and I, if I'm not mistaken, this is the most money
- 20:00he will make as a professional basketball player.
- 20:03Nobody's going to walk away from 52 and a half million dollars.
- 20:06Nobody. I don't believe LeBron James
- 20:09will be a Laker for the rest of the season.
- 20:11I think at the trade deadline if the Lakers fall out, and I don't
- 20:15think the Lakers are going to be aggressive because trade, I
- 20:18mean, obviously the offseason has started.
- 20:20Free agency has opened up. Unless they get Giannis, who
- 20:23they going to get you're and you're only getting Giannis if
- 20:26you trade something. Who you trading for Giannis,
- 20:28Austin Reeves, nobody. You're going to have to trade a
- 20:31hell of a lot more than Austin Reeves to get Giannis.
- 20:34You're going to have to trade maybe LeBron James, Austin
- 20:37Reeves and and probably your future to bring in Giannis And,
- 20:41and that means LeBron James is no longer with them.
- 20:43So that's not going to happen. I just think there's nothing out
- 20:47there right now. This free agency market is not
- 20:49as good as it's going to be next year.
- 20:51I, I don't know where anybody believes that LeBron James will
- 20:55stay with the Lakers by the trade deadline.
- 20:57There are a numerous amount of teams that are looking to win a
- 21:00championship or on the cusp of being one of the elite teams.
- 21:04Any of it. Maybe it goes back to the
- 21:05Cleveland Cavaliers. Maybe it goes back to Cleveland
- 21:08and tries to win a championship with Spider and, and, and the
- 21:11coaching staff over there with Kenny Atkinson.
- 21:14This is if they add LeBron James to that roster.
- 21:17I mean, is anybody going to beat him in the East?
- 21:21That automatically makes them the favorites at the trade
- 21:24deadline to win the East. How about the Celtics?
- 21:28The Celtics, obviously, you have Brown, you have White there.
- 21:32You don't have, you don't have, you don't have Tatum.
- 21:35He's he might be back at the end of the season.
- 21:38They're saying Jason Tatum will miss the whole season with an
- 21:41Achilles tear if he's training already.
- 21:43He had his surgery the next day within 24 hours of the Knicks
- 21:46game. The Knicks series.
- 21:48I, I, I expect Tatum to possibly be back sometime before the
- 21:52playoffs. If Tatum comes back and you have
- 21:54LeBron James and you have Jalen Brown and you have, you have a
- 21:58guy like White. I mean, aren't you a contender?
- 22:01Aren't you a Eastern Conference contender with LeBron James
- 22:05there going to play for the Celtics?
- 22:07Do you remember the last Laker to jump ship and go from Miami
- 22:11to Cleveland to the Celtics? Do you remember that?
- 22:17It was Shaquille O'Neal? Shaquille O'Neal retired as a as
- 22:20a Celtic. Now, he didn't do anything with
- 22:22the Celtics, but he retired. Well, he actually retired with,
- 22:26if I'm not mistaken, it was Orlando he retired with.
- 22:29But he that's what usually happens after your career.
- 22:34You usually usually sign with your old team and you retire
- 22:37with your old team. That's what usually happens.
- 22:39I'm not sure if he retired with Orlando or the Lakers, but he
- 22:43retired with one of those teams. But his final year as an NBA
- 22:47player, if I'm not mistaken, it was with the Celtics.
- 22:50And if LeBron James wants to do that and and and try to fight
- 22:55and try to win a championship over there with the Celtics, the
- 22:58Celtics are automatically the favorites are coming out of the
- 23:00East because LeBron James automatic.
- 23:03Could you put if Jason Tatum comes back and if Jason Tatum,
- 23:06Jaylen Brown, you're automatically a championship
- 23:10contending team? Right.
- 23:11And especially you're seeing now with the way that the salary cap
- 23:14could go up to, obviously that doesn't matter.
- 23:16I mean, yeah, LeBron, we know we can manipulate a lot of.
- 23:19Different because here's the reason why.
- 23:20Jason Tatum, if he comes back, it'll be at the end of the
- 23:23season. Insurance already is paying for
- 23:25him. So even if he comes back, you're
- 23:27not paying him for a full season.
- 23:28So you could bring LeBron James contract in with the Boston
- 23:32Celtics at the trade deadline because even if Jason Tatum
- 23:35comes back, he's not going to be paid.
- 23:37That is paid by insurance. It doesn't affect their salary
- 23:40gap. Yeah, it doesn't affect their
- 23:42cap. So they could actually trade for
- 23:44LeBron James and not worry about Jason Tatum coming back because
- 23:47it won't affect them. Right.
- 23:48And that that's the luxury that you have when you have these
- 23:51these salary cap situations, these aprons.
- 23:54Obviously they traded Drew Holiday in Porzingis just to get
- 23:56under it. But like you were saying last
- 23:57week, like there's no guarantee that the Celtics don't have
- 23:59another big thing in mind too. And they know what's going on
- 24:02with the Lakers. They know what's going on with
- 24:03the boxing. And it seems like that too.
- 24:05And again, with the situation with the Lakers with with
- 24:07LeBron, like he would seem like it was kind of set in stone the
- 24:09way he was manipulating it. But again, being he's already
- 24:12won a championship there, there's always going to be that
- 24:14extra threshold of what am I going to do one more time.
- 24:17And obviously these companies out there production wise, all
- 24:19this pizza stuff and all that stuff is out there, but.
- 24:22Albums are dipped into every single business.
- 24:24I know that. And again, at the same time, you
- 24:27now bring in new ownership. You have a ownership group that
- 24:29comes from the Dodgers that obviously they like to spend a
- 24:31lot of money too, but they're also very they try to be more
- 24:34young and progressive. And that's why I think they were
- 24:35mentioning, OK, we're going to try to build around Luka Doncic.
- 24:37I'm surprised Magic Johnson didn't buy into the Lakers.
- 24:40Yeah, it's interesting because I think he has a little bit of a
- 24:42stake, but it's not to the same level of those with the Dodgers.
- 24:45And now Andrew Walter the new owner, or Mark Walter the new
- 24:48owner, that he's there. You would think there would be
- 24:51some kind of influence there to get magic involved, especially
- 24:54with magic now being involved with Washington.
- 24:55Magic Johnson will be involved with the Lakers, especially with
- 24:59Luka Doncic being there. One way or another, Magic
- 25:02Johnson will have his hand dipped in with with the Lakers
- 25:04after LeBron James decides to part ways with the Lakers
- 25:08organization. I so will LeBron at some.
- 25:10Point. That's what I'm saying LeBron
- 25:11James is going to be. I don't know if LeBron James
- 25:14will be a part of the Lakers. I think when LeBron James.
- 25:17It'll be part of something. Yeah, when I think when LeBron
- 25:20James retires, when a team becomes available, maybe The
- 25:24Mavericks, because if ownership can't find a way to bring a
- 25:27casino over there in Dallas, you know, he loves Cooper flag and
- 25:32LeBron James has billions of dollars.
- 25:33He by the time LeBron James is ready to buy a team, he probably
- 25:38is worth a couple of billion dollars with the assets that he
- 25:41has. LeBron James is going to buy
- 25:42into an NBA team. Why not the Dallas Mavericks?
- 25:45Think about it that way. Think about it this way.
- 25:47The Dallas Mavericks have Kyrie Irving, there has Anthony Davis.
- 25:51Both players played with LeBron James.
- 25:53Both players won championships with LeBron James.
- 25:57And then you have Cooper Flag. They're one of the best young
- 25:59stars right now the NBA has to provide.
- 26:01And he has come out and said during the Olympic practices
- 26:05that this guy is the best American player he's seen come
- 26:08out of United States basketball in the last five years.
- 26:11That says a lot about what he thinks about Cooper Flag.
- 26:14As a matter of fact, one of the things that were brought up
- 26:17after Cooper Flag was drafted, when he was obviously
- 26:19interviewed, he said, what did LeBron James talk to you about?
- 26:23And he told Cooper Flagg, you know, cherish the moments of
- 26:27this, this opportunity because you're never going to be at the
- 26:30in this situation again. And that says a lot about LeBron
- 26:33James, who, by the way, never even played college ball.
- 26:35This guy went right to the NBA as a high school player and it
- 26:39was already inaugurated as the King.
- 26:41So I'm not saying Cooper Flag is LeBron James and I'm I think
- 26:45he's the next Kevin Durant. That's just my opinion.
- 26:47But LeBron James has an opportunity have to trade
- 26:50deadline if need be and again, the bus family is not running
- 26:54the organization anymore and he has no reason to stay there.
- 26:57Expect LeBron James if the Lakers are not a contending team
- 27:01and they don't have any assets where they can make a trade at
- 27:05the trade deadline to bring in another superstar to play with
- 27:07Himaluca where LeBron James is going to ask to be traded.
- 27:10I I'm willing if you're a betting man, Jabba, if they're
- 27:14obviously we're not NBA player so we can bet if you're a
- 27:17betting man, ladies and gentlemen, I would I bet LeBron
- 27:20James at the trade downline will be traded to a an experiencedly
- 27:25gifted NBA title team. And I say experience because I
- 27:29think one of the teams that he's going to get traded to as a team
- 27:31that's won a championship in the last couple of years or is ready
- 27:35to win a championship and. Again, there's always going to
- 27:37be the veteran ties because we talked about, OK, can LeBron
- 27:40handle the young players too? Which if the Lakers are going to
- 27:42progress in that direction, are they going to want to trade a
- 27:44lot of those younger players as well?
- 27:46Like, yeah, you're talking about like they don't have this high
- 27:48end younger player that you'll be like, OK, this is guys a
- 27:50can't miss type prospect. I like to connect.
- 27:52Last year he was kind of up and down his rookie year.
- 27:54Rui Hatchimura is not bad. Like you said, Austin Reed is
- 27:57probably their best trade option and he's kind of frustrated with
- 27:59the team anyway. So it seems like he's inevitably
- 28:01going to be out. That's going to shoot down your
- 28:02trade value. So, so like thought like, what
- 28:04do you have if you're the Lakers to be able to do that kind of
- 28:06thing? If you don't go to that next
- 28:08level with this new philosophy that you're saying you look at
- 28:11the way the league is now outside of the Warriors, you're
- 28:13looking at a format where it's two stars and you build a pretty
- 28:17good core around it, balance players.
- 28:20It doesn't really matter of having like the star point guard
- 28:22or the star center anymore. I know, OK, you see just one
- 28:24with Shay, Jill Alexander and Jed Holmgren.
- 28:26But besides that, you're seeing a lot more of these wing type
- 28:28teams and it's really two stars and getting everyone else
- 28:31affordable at that point. And maybe that's the Lakers
- 28:34mindset. And if it takes trading LeBron
- 28:37in order to do that, if the Lakers don't contend right away,
- 28:39because we know LeBron doesn't like to play a lot at the
- 28:41beginning of the regular season either.
- 28:43And if he can't? He's averaged about 62 to 65
- 28:46games this season for the last five years.
- 28:48Yeah. And again, it's interesting to
- 28:49think like if they can fill that void, if LeBron doesn't have to
- 28:52quote UN quote low man and stuff like that, and if he does stay
- 28:54healthy. And that's the other question
- 28:56that somebody like JJ Reddick keeps.
- 28:59Favorite coach, if you know. LeBron, If LeBron James knows
- 29:02this could be his final season, you would think, think that
- 29:05LeBron James is going to play at least 80 games, wouldn't you?
- 29:08Thank you. You want you want the fans to
- 29:10come and see you for the last time.
- 29:11Michael Jordan, We all know the Michael Jordan story.
- 29:14He came out many, many times, said teams.
- 29:17I mean, fans come to watch me play.
- 29:19I wanted to make sure that everybody got a chance to see me
- 29:21play at least once when I was playing basketball.
- 29:24And that's why he played almost every single game.
- 29:27You never see Michael Jordan miss a game.
- 29:29He was always out on the basketball court hurt with the
- 29:31flu as we saw him in the playoffs.
- 29:33That man went out there and played his heart out.
- 29:36LeBron James has not been that type of player really over the
- 29:39last five years. Now, LeBron James is still an
- 29:41elite player. There's no question that he is.
- 29:43He's still at the top of his game, Maybe not the same
- 29:46defensive player Freelance was, even though he's tried to play
- 29:48that contagious defense over the last couple of months of the
- 29:53season. He's not that a type of player
- 29:55anymore. But LeBron James still has the
- 29:57ability. If he goes to an organization in
- 29:59the right team, he is absolutely that boost that that
- 30:03organization's going to need to win a title.
- 30:05Yeah, always going to be thought of as a missing piece when
- 30:06you're that good in the playoffs.
- 30:07And even the durability aspect compared to some other NBA
- 30:11players have still been better for LeBron even at age 41 than a
- 30:14lot of look at Kawhi Leonard and look at Paul George and all
- 30:16these other guys that these veterans that are always getting
- 30:18hurt too. So there's still an optimism
- 30:20that you would believe if you were the Lakers to be able to
- 30:22make that kind of thing work. And that's what the new
- 30:24ownership will bank on at the. Moment and also new ownership
- 30:26thinks that they can get something for him.
- 30:28I I mean LeBron James is a guy that can help A-Team give him a
- 30:32boost to possibly win a title. What would you get for LeBron
- 30:35James if he's averaging about 25 points per game, 8 assists and
- 30:38seven rebounds and can change your roster for the better?
- 30:41Even if LeBron James comes off the bench, which that will never
- 30:44happen Now, even if LeBron James comes off the bench, you got a
- 30:47player of this magnitude coming off the bench.
- 30:49What are you willing to give up for?
- 30:51Somebody like this will almost guarantee you an Eastern or
- 30:53Western Conference chance to win a championship, finals to win a
- 30:57championship. What will you?
- 30:59What will you be willing to give up you're talking about?
- 31:01Me, I think, I think it'll be decent though, but you got to
- 31:04remember it it at this point you got you got to look at it as a
- 31:07rental, not as a long term. So then I think you got to look
- 31:10at it like, OK, are we are we just this rental and what are we
- 31:14willing to give up or what do we want to give up?
- 31:17Or is it worth giving this up to to figure out like, OK, we got a
- 31:21shot if we get this guy. That's kind of like, it's just
- 31:24hard when you get into that rental frame of mind because
- 31:27it's like, what do I really want to get rid of knowing this isn't
- 31:30going to be long term. 100% and that's what a lot of other NBA
- 31:34teams have kind of fallen into the trap of too.
- 31:36We talked about it last week with the Kevin Durant trade with
- 31:38the Suns too. They kind of felt like they were
- 31:40desperate at that point. Now at the time when they did
- 31:42it, I thought it was fine. I like 2023.
- 31:45They had the season before where they lost to The Mavericks in
- 31:48the in the Western Conference finals, the 67 win team.
- 31:50So it seemed like a big swing and then they go get Bradley
- 31:52Beal and everything goes downhill after that.
- 31:54And the Nets have done it. The Clippers have done it with
- 31:57Paul George and Kawei Leonard. Obviously, we talked about how
- 31:59that trade really helped OKC get over the top the way they did
- 32:03and that there's going to be some teams, Jabba, that don't
- 32:05think that way. They're going to fall into that
- 32:07desperate. All right, last plea, tight
- 32:08move. If they can get something else
- 32:10around it. We mentioned Miami before, like
- 32:12Miami reuniting with Pat Riley. They get Jimmy Butler off the
- 32:15books who was disgruntled over there.
- 32:16Would they consider a big move? Does Pat Riley have something up
- 32:19his sleeve for somebody like LeBron?
- 32:21You said the South. No, he's not going.
- 32:23LeBron James is not going back to Miami.
- 32:25He's not. They don't have a chance to win.
- 32:27Even if they had LeBron James there with Bam out of bio and
- 32:30Tyler Hero, do you think they're going to get over the even
- 32:33against the Knicks with the roster the Knicks have?
- 32:35They don't beat the Knicks. They don't beat the Cavaliers if
- 32:38the Cavaliers are healthy. So I I don't see LeBron, LeBron
- 32:42James, if he knows this is his final year, which could very
- 32:44much happen if if he believes this is his final year, he's
- 32:48either going to go to the Western Conference where he can
- 32:50win with Houston, with Kevin Durant.
- 32:52Could you imagine him and Kevin Durant on a roster they've
- 32:54always wanted to play together? Why not go, you know, play your
- 32:58final season at the trade deadline with one of your
- 33:01favorite players to play with, with Team USA Basketball and go
- 33:03and make a run with Kevin Durant.
- 33:05See if you can get over the hump.
- 33:06That would be amazing. LeBron James right off to the
- 33:09sunset like Peyton Manning did, win a championship with one of
- 33:12your best friends. I mean, that would be, that
- 33:16would be a storybook ending in LeBron James's.
- 33:18Story with the power of the LeBron James association help
- 33:21everything out with it as well. He's going to definitely try to
- 33:23manipulate as much as possible with wherever he ends up going.
- 33:26Again, I don't I don't know how frustrated the would be with the
- 33:28Lakers, but it's always different with newer ownership.
- 33:31When LeBron obviously decided to go to the Lakers, it was
- 33:33different with the bus family there.
- 33:35And obviously there's other players that have come and gone
- 33:37with the bus family that have had their power.
- 33:39But at the same time, the Lakers haven't had the holding power of
- 33:42these players either. Look at somebody like Anthony
- 33:44Davis. Now, obviously you can't pass up
- 33:46a trade with Luka Doncic, but look at all the other stars that
- 33:48have come and gone or even just almost went there and get that
- 33:51kind of result. And now you're seeing it with
- 33:52LeBron. It seems like a surefire.
- 33:53You know who would have? Who would have thought that
- 33:56after trading Luka Doncic and and Nico Harrison look like the
- 34:01the dumbest GM in NBA history and he's really dumb.
- 34:05I mean we all know what the Nets have done over the years.
- 34:07They've done a lot of stupid things.
- 34:09But Nico Harrison trading one of the best young players the NBA
- 34:13has ever had, foreign international players the NBA
- 34:15has ever had, and then all of a sudden, out of nowhere, out of
- 34:19nowhere, win the lottery. Win the lottery with a 3.8%
- 34:24chance of winning it. That it was like 2 point
- 34:27something. Whatever it was, it doesn't.
- 34:29Matter. It was a.
- 34:31Percentage, no chance in hell for him to win Cooper flag and
- 34:35then he wins the best young American player we've seen come
- 34:38out of the draft like LeBron James have said in five years.
- 34:41That says a lot about where the NBA is and how I believe LeBron
- 34:45James has run the organization. And that's that's just the
- 34:48facts. And if LeBron James wants to go
- 34:50and play with the Rockets and play with Kevin Durant, he'll go
- 34:53there. If LeBron James wants to go and
- 34:55play with Miami, he'll go there there.
- 34:56If LeBron James wants to go to the Cleveland Cavaliers and and
- 34:59win his his final championship, I have his chance to win and
- 35:02right off into the sunset in his hometown, his home, his home
- 35:06area in Cleveland, he will go there.
- 35:08So it it's up to LeBron James where he wants to go and I think
- 35:11the Lakers will oblige him. I don't know what the Lakers are
- 35:14going to get much knowing that he is going to walk away from
- 35:17the game. He is going to leave.
- 35:18But guess what, you land LeBron James.
- 35:21If you're the Cleveland Cavaliers or you're the Houston
- 35:24Rockets, you're almost guaranteed to go to the Western
- 35:27Conference Finals and maybe even make a run to the NBA Finals.
- 35:31That's how good LeBron James still is and what LeBron James
- 35:34could give you as a player on a basketball court.
- 35:38So there's, again, going back to this whole situation with LeBron
- 35:42James and taking the 52 and a half million dollars.
- 35:45I only believe he took the money because he's making the most
- 35:48money he's ever made. And #2 I really do believe he
- 35:51has no interest of staying with the Lakers.
- 35:54By the trade deadline. I expect LeBron James to ask to
- 35:57be off. By the way, another team that
- 35:59would be looking at LeBron James is the Golden State Warriors.
- 36:02I, I could see the Golden State Warriors if they're playing good
- 36:04basketball and Steph Curry is healthy.
- 36:06That's another guy that LeBron James and, and Steph has said
- 36:10over the years he would love to play with.
- 36:11So I wouldn't be surprised if he gets traded to the Golden State
- 36:14Warriors with Steve Kerr there. So, and, and they'll have a
- 36:17chance to win a champion. Could you imagine him, Jimmy
- 36:20Buckets and Steph Curry on a roster?
- 36:23Scary. Oh God, they're going to steal
- 36:25all the headlines too. They've already done already.
- 36:27LeBron steals headlines as it is.
- 36:29We talk about the Warriors, all the.
- 36:30Time scary. The LJA is back, ladies and
- 36:33gentlemen. Mr. Mr. Draymond, Greed is still
- 36:36there. He'll steal some other
- 36:37headlines. Too It would piss me the apple
- 36:38off. Oh I know if if I watch LeBron
- 36:41James go to Golden State and win a championship with Steph Curry
- 36:44and Jimmy Buckets I will be pissed.
- 36:46The FL. That would be probably just.
- 36:47I will not be happy. I am not.
- 36:50Listen, everybody thinks that I'm a LeBron, a LeBron James fan
- 36:52because I think he's the second greatest basketball player of
- 36:55all time. And I do because he's going to
- 36:57have almost every single record when he walks away from the game
- 37:00and he the longevity to do what he is doing on a basketball
- 37:03court is untouchable. I don't think we'll ever see an
- 37:06NBA player play as long as LeBron James and be as dominant
- 37:10as LeBron James has been over the last 20 years.
- 37:13OK, that's a fact. I don't care what anybody says.
- 37:16You could cut this up and roll it up and throw it wherever we
- 37:20want to throw it. I, I am not a LeBron James fan.
- 37:23I, as a matter of fact, I don't like him as a personality off at
- 37:26the basketball court. His politics, his, his political
- 37:28views are absolutely horrendous. But what he is as a basketball
- 37:32player, you can't take away his greatness.
- 37:35You can't. He is the greatest basketball
- 37:38player, right behind Michael Jordan, and that includes over
- 37:42Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, Kareem Dole, Jabbar or Magic Johnson,
- 37:47Larry Bird. This guy is going to go down as
- 37:49the second greatest basketball player of all time.
- 37:51And you could take back whatever you say about me on social media
- 37:54saying I don't know what I'm talking about when it comes to
- 37:56basketball. If you guys actually don't
- 37:59believe this guy is the second greatest basketball player of
- 38:01all time, then you guys don't know basketball.
- 38:03Yeah, you do not. Yeah, and I think he there was
- 38:05another step that too like he already has.
- 38:08I think he's 40 games away from already having the most regular
- 38:11season games played record amidst all his load, load
- 38:14management and stuff like that too amidst all the other stuff.
- 38:17Oh, they get all the dramas and stuff going throughout the
- 38:20league. So his longevity, like we said,
- 38:22as as crazy as he's. Incredible.
- 38:24Yeah, he's incredible. How could you be 40?
- 38:28What, he's going to be 4142 years old?
- 38:30He's 41 right now. He'll be 42 years old.
- 38:33Last year, he's 41 years old. He turned 41.
- 38:36He was averaging 24/8 and 7/24, 8:00 and 7:00.
- 38:39His career numbers are at 28 or 29, eight and seven.
- 38:44This guy's longevity at the top of his game will be unmatched
- 38:48forever. Nobody's going to touch this,
- 38:52and as much as you think I have a love fest for him, I can't
- 38:55stand the man. I don't walk away from
- 38:58greatness. When you walk, when you look at
- 38:59Alex Rodriguez, there are a lot of Yankee fans that can't stand
- 39:02Alex Rodriguez. Oh, he cheated.
- 39:03He did this, he did that. Guess what?
- 39:05Alex Rodriguez is a top five player of all time.
- 39:08And if you guys want to argue that, we can come on this show
- 39:11right now and I can go through statistics, new statistics, old
- 39:15statistics, and argue my points why Alex Rodriguez is still a
- 39:18top five player of all time. You can't take away greatness.
- 39:22No matter what he did, he's special.
- 39:25And that's what LeBron James is. He's a special player and he'll
- 39:29always be remembered as the second greatest basketball
- 39:32player that ever played in NBA history.
- 39:34And. Then we got Jabba, who could
- 39:35defend Alex Rodriguez from knowing him personally.
- 39:38I'm sure Jabba would agree with me on that one too.
- 39:41In more ways than one. I mean, obviously I get it.
- 39:45But yeah, it's, I guess if you want to go off a matrix and they
- 39:49put it, I mean, you can put all their numbers into whatever, but
- 39:52it's like we can talk about Barry Bonds.
- 39:53Bonds was a Hall of Famer before supposedly he did this.
- 39:56I mean, your head doesn't grow in your 30s.
- 39:59So I'm going to put two and two together.
- 40:00Yes. He never tested positive, but
- 40:02I'm going to go ahead and throw two and two together.
- 40:04But tell Jason Kidd that. Yeah, same time you still got to
- 40:08put bat on ball. Just because you take it doesn't
- 40:11necessarily make you a better baseball player.
- 40:13So yeah, there's there's a lot of things we could argue with
- 40:15with a lot of athletes before, you know, things, things I guess
- 40:19came to a head and, and, and what have you.
- 40:21But yeah, there's there's a lot of guys that didn't need it.
- 40:24They they did it for other reasons, and who knows what
- 40:27those reasons really, really are.
- 40:28Jabba, we have had guys on the show that told us straight out
- 40:32they did steroids and we're never Major League players long
- 40:35in a week, longer than a week and And they did steroids.
- 40:39But but because Alex Rodriguez did steroids.
- 40:41Oh, he's the worst person in the world.
- 40:43Yeah. Did he do bad things?
- 40:44Did he throw people under the bus that he tried to threaten
- 40:47people? Yeah.
- 40:48Alex Rodriguez is not a good person, but as an athlete, as a
- 40:51player, you can't argue he's a top five player of all time.
- 40:54The numbers would tell you that he is and the.
- 40:56Same. Yeah, you don't, you don't have
- 40:57to like, you don't have to like the person, but you got to
- 41:01respect whatever it's I don't care like Floyd Mayweather, not
- 41:06a fan, but to never lose in a boxing ring.
- 41:09That's that's tough to say. And I, you know, you don't have
- 41:12to like him. You don't have to agree with
- 41:14what he does. I I get it because I don't with
- 41:16with a lot of athletes. But the end of the day, I
- 41:18respect of what they did and how they did it.
- 41:21To be that successful for that long and to do something that
- 41:25less than .01% get the opportunity to do it and do it
- 41:28for a long time. You got to respect what they do.
- 41:31You don't have to like them. You don't have to take them to
- 41:33dinner, you don't have to invite them to your kids birthday
- 41:35party, but you respect the craft that they do in, in, in any way,
- 41:39shape or form. And that's in, that's not in
- 41:41sports, that's in anything. You got to give credit where
- 41:43credit's due, even if you don't like them.
- 41:44Oh, and and again, a lot of people on social media would
- 41:47think that I'm a big LeBron James lover.
- 41:50Like I have some kind of love fest for LeBron James.
- 41:52I can't stand the man, but I don't walk away and I don't
- 41:55trend to the the opposite side saying that LeBron James isn't
- 41:59worth every bit to get a chance to watch him play, you know,
- 42:03every week or every game or every other game because LeBron
- 42:06James plays one game a week. Nevertheless, LeBron James is
- 42:09special to watch. LeBron James, if he cares about
- 42:13the fans and he knows this is his final year as an NBA player,
- 42:17he should play all 82 games. If he's healthy enough to do it,
- 42:20he should give every young kid that wants to get a chance to
- 42:23watch one of the greatest basketball players of all time
- 42:26get to watch him one more time, one last time.
- 42:29That's what Mariano Rivera did. Remember Mariano Rivera, they,
- 42:32the Yankees made sure that when he did that whole trend around
- 42:36for his final season, his Grand Tour, they made sure he was out
- 42:40there, He was pitching not every single game, but the majority of
- 42:43the games. So Derek Jeter, Derek Jeter, you
- 42:46know, nobody knew that it was Derek Jeter's last season until
- 42:50Derek Jeter pretty much came out, you know, mid.
- 42:53What was it, quarter, quarter into the season that he said
- 42:56this was his final year? OK.
- 42:58And what did Derek Jeter do for the fans?
- 43:00He made sure he was out there every single game so the fans
- 43:04could get a chance to watch him play.
- 43:06That's greatness. That's what you want to see.
- 43:08I want to say, hey, you know what, for all the people 20-30
- 43:12years from now, I could say I watched Alex Rodriguez play
- 43:15baseball. I watched Derek Jeter play
- 43:18baseball. I watched Michael Jordan play
- 43:21basketball. I watched Wayne Gretzky play
- 43:24hockey or Marc Messier or Mario Lemieux, OK?
- 43:28Or, you know, if you're a cream of dual jabbar, I saw Kareem of
- 43:31dual Jabbar play live. That's what you want to say.
- 43:34That's what you always want to remember.
- 43:35That's what you want to tell your grandchildren, your kids or
- 43:38your great grandchildren. And that's what LeBron James
- 43:40stands for. As much as you can't stand him
- 43:43and as much as I can't stand him because I believe the NBA is the
- 43:45LJA, I don't take away for what he has done for the game of
- 43:49basketball and what he has delivered as a young man.
- 43:53Remember, he came from high school and everybody considered
- 43:57him the King. Could you imagine the pressure
- 44:00LeBron James had when he stepped on an NBA court?
- 44:04Now, do I think LeBron James should have won Rookie of the
- 44:07year? No, Carmelo Anthony was rookie
- 44:08of the year when when him and Carmelo came out from the draft.
- 44:12Carmelo had better numbers than LeBron James.
- 44:14My honest opinion is Carmelo and Carmelo.
- 44:17Carmelo Anthony was robbed, was robbed for the rookie of the
- 44:21year. Nevertheless, LeBron James has
- 44:24won every single thing he's he's won rookie of the year, he's won
- 44:29MVPS, he's won Defensive player of the year, he's won
- 44:32everything. And that's why LeBron James is
- 44:35considered the second greatest basketball player of all time.
- 44:38And there are statistics. There are records that will
- 44:41never be broken, never be broken, because you're not going
- 44:45to see an NBA player play as long as LeBron James has played
- 44:49all. Right quickly before our guest
- 44:51is in and we have Golf Club, a New York Yankee mania.
- 44:53Shout out to him again the Lakers challenge next year.
- 44:55Yeah, they definitely could, but they need a lot this offseason.
- 44:58By the way, I want to say something for all you Laker fans
- 45:02and I'm just being honest. Luka Doncic was traded to be
- 45:07brought in to the Lakers for the reason that LeBron James was
- 45:10probably his final one or two years going to be moved at 11
- 45:15point or another. I expect LeBron James to be
- 45:19traded. Do I think the Lakers are making
- 45:20the playoffs next year? They had their chance this year
- 45:23to make a run. They fell short.
- 45:25LeBron James will not be a Laker at the trade deadline.
- 45:28I guarantee you by the trade deadline he will be traded
- 45:32somewhere. He is playing this final year.
- 45:35He will not be back the year, year after.
- 45:37I expect LeBron James to be an owner, maybe even AGM of a team
- 45:43really early in his career before he he eventually buys a
- 45:46team in the open market. And I do believe it's going to
- 45:49be Dallas. I really have this feeling it's
- 45:51going to be the Dallas Mavericks because it's very typical
- 45:54ownership over there in Dallas do not know what they're doing.
- 45:57And they only bought the team because they thought they were
- 45:59going to build a casino over there.
- 46:01And it doesn't seem like Dallas is going to allow a casino.
- 46:04And if they don't in the next five years, I expect Cooper Flag
- 46:08to leave unless LeBron James comes in and takes over or a big
- 46:12name comes in there and takes over and tells Cooper Flag to
- 46:15stay there. Because he's going to build.
- 46:17He's going to build an organization around him.
- 46:19Because I, I just don't think Cooper Flag's going to want to
- 46:22be there. I, I think he, his goal or his
- 46:25presence on what we've heard over the last couple of months
- 46:28is his future could be in Boston.
- 46:31So I, that's, that's my opinion. I think Boston is going to do
- 46:34everything they can to free up salary to maybe make a move to
- 46:38bring in a guy like Cooper flag in the future.
- 46:41And that's what, 5-6 years down the road.
- 46:43So I expect Cooper flag if if Dallas doesn't get it together,
- 46:48ownership doesn't get it together with this casino Cooper
- 46:50flag to say, you know what, I don't want to be here anymore.
- 46:52I want to go to my hometown. I want to play for my home team
- 46:55and I want to be at Boston Celtic.
- 46:57And that's something the Celtics absolutely believe could happen.
- 47:00All right, we got to go. Congratulations to Preston

- 47:54He was at the Fanatics games this year.
- 47:56He was the one of the the fans that competed.
- 47:58He was in 3rd place. He got 250250K from Tom Brady.
- 48:04Yeah. Where's my where's my 250K?
- 48:08Tell him, can I? Hey, Tommy, first of all, you
- 48:10were supposed to get me that thing over there in the Hamptons
- 48:13with Tom Brady. You never got that for me, you
- 48:15little pieces. They never answered back.
- 48:18Bend over. Show everybody that ass, that
- 48:20Indian ass. Show them that Indian ass, No?
- 48:23As long as she's using dude watch and taking care of my 2
- 48:26hole I'm good. This makes my pecker.
- 48:28Harder anyways, that's it for our show, ladies and gentlemen,
- 48:30we'll be back tomorrow. We'll have fish back.
- 48:33We'll have Zach here. We'll have the whole show and
- 48:36maybe we'll add king of the hill because we never get a chance.
- 48:38We got to do that that whole UFC mixed martial arts thing.
- 48:42That wouldn't be fair because it would probably just be me and
- 48:44Jake. That wouldn't have been fair.
- 48:46What is fish thinking? I I don't get it.
- 48:48John, you're not going to give me any credit on the UF?
- 48:51CI didn't say that. I didn't say that.
- 48:52But I, I, I listen to Jake and I listen to his take, I just, it's
- 48:57going to be hard to attack this guy when it comes to his takes.
- 49:01When it comes to mixed martial arts, you probably, you probably
- 49:03have the third most knowledge on the show about mixed martial
- 49:06arts. So it would have.
- 49:07Been I'm the only one that's ever had a deal with the UFC, so
- 49:09right there. There you show.
- 49:11There you show, right? You want to show your ass?
- 49:13Show everybody your ass, I mean. I got birthmark on my right
- 49:17cheek. Oh, there you go, me too.
- 49:18Is that what your future wife is looking at right now after?
- 49:24The show sitting down you stupid ass.
- 49:26How do we know you're sitting? Maybe you're sitting on her.
- 49:31That would be silent. I'm losing my mind tonight, I'm
- 49:35losing my voice. I'm losing everything.
- 49:37Anyways, that's it for a show. We'll be back tomorrow.
- 49:39Goodnight. It it.
- 49:41It's the worldwide sports radio network.
- 49:43Radio Network. Radio Network.
