- 0:00Melissa Shere Beek: Hi. I hope you are well. This podcast is a place for people to share personal and professional perspectives, talk openly, and ask questions. From serious to silly to sublime, it's all about communication and connection. Always coming from a place of kindness and curiosity, we talk about shared humanity, discuss ideas, and highlight people creating a better world.
- 0:23We've got to keep learning, keep growing, keep being. I'm Melissa Beak, and this is Beek on Being. Today's episode is Beek on Being and Holistic Healing. We are comprised of every experience, every memory, our interpretations of those memories, our environment, and our relationships. All of it affects our complete health and well-being.
- 0:45When we talk about personal healing, we talk about addressing the entirety of a person, not just a specific part or aspect, promoting emotional, physical, and psychological well-being. The mind, body, and spirit are all connected, making sure they are always balanced and focusing on their interconnectedness is the approach of holistic healing. Today, we talked to two energy medicine practitioners, Susan Hallie and Maina Campos, because we have lots of questions and they and our bodies have the answers. So please introduce yourselves and tell our listeners a little bit about you.
- 1:22Susan Hally: Okay. Well, firstly, Melissa, thank you so much for inviting us to be on your podcast.
- 1:29Melissa Shere Beek: Oh my g-d. My pleasure.
- 1:30Susan Hally: And Maina and I are really excited to come here and talk about what we do and what we love. And so my name is Susan Hally and I am a holistic practitioner, integrative medicine. And I've been studying this modalities for over two decades.
- 1:51Melissa Shere Beek: Wow.
- 1:52Susan Hally: And I love what I do, and I've been, you know, learning and and teaching and practicing this for many, you know, decades. I started as a yoga teacher in early two thousands, and and that was a wellspring for me to learn about different modalities, essential oils, meditation, you know, moving your body, really all important things. Yeah. And, I had an acupuncturist on Miami Beach, doctor Janica Lipo, and I would go for some sessions. I was a mom, so, of course, we always had so much stress, right, as moms and running around.
- 2:35And, doctor Janet would always invite me to her, classes that she was teaching body talk at the time. And so I would start taking modules and I met lovely Mina and we, you know, just started going through all the modules and fast forward, I got certified and in, body talk medicine, and I worked in a clinic on Miami Beach in To Be Healthy, doctor Janet's clinic, and we saw all sorts of things. Right? We we worked with many patients and yeah. So now I am a teacher of the medicine of body mind medicine, and body talk has become body intuitive.
- 3:23And so, you know, I incorporate many different modalities in my sessions. Uh-huh. We work remotely. We work, in person.
- 3:33Melissa Shere Beek: Mhmm.
- 3:33Susan Hally: And we both love to teach. We've taught many classes together. And, yes, so I'm here to talk about all the things.
- 3:41Melissa Shere Beek: I'm excited. I can't wait to hear about everything. Yeah.
- 3:44Maina Campos: And I'm Maina Campos, and I met Susan at one of these clinics with Janet Galipo. And when I was about 17 years old, I had gallstones. And I remember going to the emergency room and them telling me that the only way to heal was to remove my gallbladder. And I just was like, no. There's gotta be another way.
- 4:09Like, my gallbladder is not there for some random reason. And I went for two other opinions, and they also told me that the only way to heal was to have my gallbladder removed at 17 years old.
- 4:22Melissa Shere Beek: Wow.
- 4:22Maina Campos: And I couldn't believe it, but thankfully, one of my best friends at the time, Julia, her mom, Janet Galipo, doctor Janet Galipo, I asked her, oh, Janet, do you think there's any way acupuncture can help me? And she said, yes. Of course. Come in. And at the time, she was learning body talk.
- 4:42Wow. And I had told her I was really scared of needles. And so she said, let me just try this tapping thing on you. And she practiced, the body talk on me. Instead of doing needles, she gave me herbs.
- 4:57With the body talk, she found out that I had an intolerance to dairy, which at the time, this was, like, back in the earth, like, nineties, so it wasn't a big thing like it is now.
- 5:08Melissa Shere Beek: It wasn't as common.
- 5:09Maina Campos: Mhmm. It really wasn't. And so then as soon as I stopped having any dairy products and started doing all of the different herbs and then doing the body talk, and then she also invited me to classes and to start learning it for myself, that's where I met Susan, then I was able to heal. And I would have these awful gallbladder attacks that would shoot up from my gallbladder on the right side lower quadrant all the way up through my shoulders, like, very, very painful. And I I knew it wasn't a heart attack because was on my right side, not my left.
- 5:44And but it was really it also caused, like, anxiety and panic attacks. Sure. And so after three months of doing all the changes that we had talked about, detoxing, eating brown rice, like going on a macrobiotic diet, I was able to heal myself. And I was so dumbfounded. I was just like, wow.
- 6:05How is this even possible that all of these doctors, like, authority figures that had told me Mhmm. Like, this is the only way. Only solution. Yeah. And it and it wasn't.
- 6:17And so I think I made it, like, a conviction in my life to learn about this and to also spread the knowledge and the teachings that there are other ways that we can take care and heal ourselves.
- 6:29Melissa Shere Beek: So I was gonna ask how you were inspired to become a holistic healer, but clearly, that's that's it. Can you tell our listeners what being a holistic healer means? Like, the definition of what holistic healing is?
- 6:41Susan Hally: Well, I would say holistic healing is treating the whole body. Right? So lots of times we'll have patients come into the clinic and they will come in with like, I have back pain or I have knee pain, right? And then we don't just treat the symptom, right? We treat the whole body because there's always a story behind your Pain.
- 7:03Symptoms. Yeah. Right? There's an emotion, there's a story, there's a context, And so, we treat the whole body. We just don't treat the symptom.
- 7:12Melissa Shere Beek: Got it. Yeah. Okay, so that's the definition of
- 7:16Maina Campos: Absolutely. We're seeing the whole body as an ecosystem. And when we're talking about, you know, being energy medicine practitioners, we are really looking at the body as a whole. And one of my favorite quotes from doctor James Osman, who wrote a book about and describing, like, the scientific process of energy medicine is that to leave energetic considerations out of medicine is to leave 99.9% of who we are. Right?
- 7:45Because as physical beings, we're not just physical. We're multidimensional. We have an emotional body, a mental body, a physical, spiritual body. There's all of these dimensions of who we are. Right.
- 7:58So when we're talking about energy medicine, we're looking at you know, we're breaking it's not this woo woo thing. It's like literally breaking down, like, okay, what are our organs? Our organs, when we break it down to the smallest levels and particles and parts, are atoms. And when you break that down even deeper, it's energy.
- 8:17Melissa Shere Beek: Mhmm.
- 8:17Maina Campos: Right? And so we're energy fields. And then when we're working with energy medicine, we're working with interrupting the patterns that are stagnant in that specific energy and biofield and, like, how we can work around healing it and how we can work around bringing With in and without. Right. Coherence in and out because it's you know, we're talking about also, like, not only genetics, but epigenetics and also, ancestral patterns, past lives, this life.
- 8:48We're talking about all of the different interconnectedness and nature of who we are. Yeah. Right?
- 8:55Melissa Shere Beek: A 100%. Can you tell us a little bit about the modalities and different therapies you use in your practices?
- 9:01Maina Campos: Absolutely. So we practice BodyTalk. That's the energy medicine That's
- 9:06Susan Hally: our main Yeah.
- 9:07Maina Campos: That brought us together, and then we also practice BodyIntuitive.
- 9:13Melissa Shere Beek: And can you tell us a little bit more about what BodyTalk and BodyIntuitive are?
- 9:17Maina Campos: Yep. Okay. They are consciousness based modalities using our body's natural intelligence. Right? So our body have a natural innate wisdom that already knows how to heal itself.
- 9:31Right? So we when we talk about it scientifically, we're talking about homeostasis. Right? Our body knows how to regulate itself, but sometimes our body forgets. Or we have a lot of modern day living stresses, and so body talk is a modality that we're using applied kinesiology Mhmm.
- 9:49Which is a type of muscle biofeedback.
- 9:52Melissa Shere Beek: Got it.
- 9:53Susan Hally: Muscle testing. Right?
- 9:54Maina Campos: We use neuromuscular biofeedback to find out where the breakdown in communication is within the body mind. So it can be five elements. It can be the five senses. It can be organs, endocrine, body parts. There's a whole map of questions.
- 10:11Emotions. That we're asking the body in silence using muscle testing
- 10:16Susan Hally: Uh-huh.
- 10:16Maina Campos: To find out where there's breakdown in the communication within the body mind. But the beauty of it is that we, as practitioners, never know where a session is gonna take us.
- 10:27Melissa Shere Beek: Right. That must be exciting for you, though. It's true.
- 10:29Maina Campos: It's so fascinating. Like, to this day, I am so passionate and I get so excited, like, in each session because, you know, we think we know what's wrong with the person. Right. Right? But, really, there's a whole story that unfolds, and there's a whole sequence that the body is gonna show us that
- 10:50Melissa Shere Beek: Body's telling you.
- 10:51Maina Campos: That's it wants to heal.
- 10:53Melissa Shere Beek: So can you tell you touched upon the five elements. Excuse me. Can you tell us a little bit more about the five elements in energy medicine?
- 11:00Susan Hally: Yeah. So I love the five elements
- 11:03Melissa Shere Beek: Okay. Lay it on us.
- 11:04Susan Hally: Chinese medicine, we have something called the five element theory. And, you know, some people say, oh, well, what is that? What does that mean? Well, basically, we are very interconnected with nature.
- 11:16Maina Campos: Mhmm.
- 11:17Susan Hally: So there's five elements in nature. We have wood and fire, metal, water, and
- 11:25Maina Campos: Earth. Earth.
- 11:25Susan Hally: Right? Of course, we can't forget about Mother Earth. Right? And then we have five organ systems.
- 11:30Melissa Shere Beek: Okay.
- 11:31Susan Hally: Right? So that's very interconnected. And as we have seasons, even though we might not have seasons here in Florida, although today's
- 11:39Melissa Shere Beek: a little cold. Right? Today is winter full on.
- 11:42Susan Hally: Yeah. For us. Our bodies are very similar to that, so we kind of go with the seasons.
- 11:49Melissa Shere Beek: Can you tell us the elements and the seasons and the emotions, all all the body parts and everything that connects?
- 11:54Susan Hally: Okay. So for example, right now, we're in water element time.
- 11:57Melissa Shere Beek: Okay.
- 11:58Susan Hally: Okay. So the water element addresses, you know, the water system in our body. So that's the kidneys and the bladder, urinary bladder system. And
- 12:08Maina Campos: In winter.
- 12:08Susan Hally: And winter. Right. So we're in winter. And so we look at things like deficiencies and excess in the body using muscle testing to balance and get the body into homeostasis.
- 12:22Melissa Shere Beek: Got it.
- 12:23Susan Hally: So that's this organ system that's related to water element. Then we have the emotion of overwhelm and fear. So lots of times, people will come in and they'll be, you know, overwhelmed with life and and, you know, their stress and what have you. So we're able to work with the emotions as well.
- 12:43Melissa Shere Beek: Got it.
- 12:44Susan Hally: Right? So we break it down with the organs and then, you know, of course, the emotion. So then we have after winter, we come into spring, and that's the wood element. Okay. And so the wood element addresses gallbladder and liver, and the emotion around that could be anger Mhmm.
- 13:04Or frustration.
- 13:05Melissa Shere Beek: Mhmm.
- 13:06Susan Hally: So we address things like that.
- 13:09Maina Campos: And we address it because, yes, there can be these emotions of anger and frustration, but then how are we transmuting and transforming So when there are imbalances in the liver and gallbladder, in my case Right. Right? Right. So the gallbladder is always gonna be unexpressed anger. Mhmm.
- 13:30Right? So implosion. Mhmm. So, you know That's right. Like, you know, the girls that you have to be nice and not, you know, express your anger and listen to your parents and be obedient.
- 13:41Right?
- 13:41Melissa Shere Beek: Mindful.
- 13:42Susan Hally: Yeah. All the
- 13:43Maina Campos: things. Like, be a nice little girl and not really, like, expressing anger. Right? So all of that. Right?
- 13:49So with gallstones, that was, like, condensed anger. Right. And somehow
- 13:53Melissa Shere Beek: No form of expression.
- 13:55Maina Campos: Right. Exactly. And somehow my body just internalized that, and that was like the gallstone, you know, example there with that wood element. Right? But then to harness that, we're also working with the positive attributes of the elements.
- 14:12So in the wood element for the liver and gallbladder, we're talking about planning, strategizing. We're talking about organization. We're talking about all of the different All
- 14:25Susan Hally: the things, the living Right?
- 14:27Melissa Shere Beek: All the things.
- 14:27Maina Campos: So there's there's also spiritual attributes and qualities to all of the elements as well.
- 14:33Susan Hally: That's true.
- 14:34Maina Campos: So then we have the wood element. Right? Springtime, like Susan said. And then after the wood element, we have the earth element. Right.
- 14:42Susan Hally: And so
- 14:43Melissa Shere Beek: Is that related to summer?
- 14:44Susan Hally: Well, it is. Earth is a very interesting element.
- 14:47Maina Campos: Yeah. We're going through this.
- 14:48Susan Hally: Oh, good.
- 14:49Melissa Shere Beek: Love that.
- 14:49Susan Hally: Going through. Right. So Earth is related to the spleen and the stomach. Uh-huh. Right?
- 14:55And it's the emotion of anxiety and, you know, when you get someone that's stressed and worry. Right?
- 15:02Melissa Shere Beek: Yeah.
- 15:02Susan Hally: It has to do a lot to do with worry. So when we see someone coming in that have stomachaches or
- 15:08Melissa Shere Beek: Oh, That's always stress.
- 15:10Susan Hally: Right? And then spleen, like pain on the left side where
- 15:13Maina Campos: your
- 15:13Susan Hally: spleen is. Right? The spleen is in charge of our whole blood, you know, production and and circulation and distribution. Right? So it has a big job.
- 15:23And so if the spleen is not operating optimally, right, and you come in with your blood work and saying my blood work doesn't look good, we have ways to be able to, you know, ask the body, everybody is different
- 15:35Melissa Shere Beek: Right.
- 15:36Susan Hally: And be able to help diffuse and lessen, you know, the stress around whatever that is.
- 15:44Melissa Shere Beek: Got it.
- 15:45Susan Hally: And then after that, we have fire element, which is the summer caliente, and that is the heart. And, it's a very interesting, the Chinese, elements are so interesting because, you know, the heart is about, like, love and openness, right, and energy. Right? And so lots of times if someone comes in with an imbalance, you know, of the heart and there's so many things that go under that. Yeah.
- 16:15You know, we have ways that we can help with that. And the emotion around that is sadness.
- 16:20Melissa Shere Beek: Oh. Right? Heavy.
- 16:21Susan Hally: So But it can also be depression Right. So we can also when we have sadness, we have joy. Right? Right. So So we're always trying to move people into more of a positive emotion.
- 16:32Melissa Shere Beek: Got it.
- 16:33Susan Hally: And what else can we say about the fire element?
- 16:36Maina Campos: Yeah. So the fire element, I think, is one where the energy is very expansive and exuberant. And you can see, like and it's interesting with the five element theory of Chinese medicine. It's like a lot of times with within the Chinese element lingo and acupuncturists are like, oh, that's a fire element person. You can see that they're like qualities
- 17:00Susan Hally: of heavy, have red faces.
- 17:01Maina Campos: Red faces. Or they
- 17:03Susan Hally: get wet.
- 17:04Maina Campos: Oh, they're very like, they walk into a room and they light the room up. Yeah. Right? It's like a heart centered person that's, like, very passionate. But the, you know, the downside to that is that they can burn the Right?
- 17:18So it's like you want It's
- 17:19Susan Hally: the opposite.
- 17:20Melissa Shere Beek: You want the balance.
- 17:21Maina Campos: Yes. You wanna work with balance and moderation and, but then if somebody is, like, too much in their water element, then we wanna bring in those those aspects of the five element Yeah. To warm it up.
- 17:34Melissa Shere Beek: Got it.
- 17:34Maina Campos: And that's the whole balance and play and, like, working with the elements to not only nurture, but to help control and to help kind of one feeds into the other. And they're you know, we're not just one element. We're all of the elements. Right. There may be one that can be more dominant.
- 17:53Susan Hally: Well, everyone does have we'll get to that in a second. But everyone does have a dominant element and a weaker one. Right? So I've always been told I'm more of an earth element person.
- 18:04Melissa Shere Beek: Mhmm.
- 18:05Susan Hally: And so I also wanna say about earth element
- 18:07Melissa Shere Beek: Oh, I wanna know what it is.
- 18:08Susan Hally: Yeah. Digestive system and your energy or chi Uh-huh. Is, you know, very, based on the earth element. So if someone is, like, exhausted or having fatigue or having digestive issues with the earth element, we will work to help work, you know, balance their digestive system and and their energy levels.
- 18:28Melissa Shere Beek: Oh, that's fabulous.
- 18:29Susan Hally: But they also the other thing I wanted to mention is we work on opposites also. So the fire element is opposite water element. So we're in water element time right now.
- 18:39Melissa Shere Beek: Right.
- 18:39Susan Hally: And so that's when the fire element is the weakest. So they say that seventy percent of heart attacks happen between the months of December, January, and February in When the fire element is weak. Yes. In water element time.
- 18:56Melissa Shere Beek: Wow.
- 18:57Susan Hally: So we wanna also balance the water element with the fire element.
- 19:01Melissa Shere Beek: Right.
- 19:01Susan Hally: Right. So that we have homeostasis.
- 19:04Melissa Shere Beek: Oh, that's perfect.
- 19:05Maina Campos: I feel like you would be a wood element.
- 19:08Melissa Shere Beek: Oh, what is a wood element? Tell me.
- 19:10Maina Campos: I feel like, I feel like liver and gallbladder, I feel like you seem very organized and like very strategic. Yeah. Very strategic. Susan said that you're a great dancer and, like, you like to be in movement. So
- 19:25Melissa Shere Beek: I like to
- 19:26Susan Hally: Yeah. Those are qualities. And that's the tendo muscular system too, the wood elements. Yeah.
- 19:30Maina Campos: I feel like she would be and also the color that you're wearing and the fact that you
- 19:34Melissa Shere Beek: love My favorite color. Yes.
- 19:35Maina Campos: Well, green is the color for For wood.
- 19:39Melissa Shere Beek: I’m always in the trees.
- 19:40Maina Campos: Yep. So a lot of times wood brushes.
- 19:42Susan Hally: Think that you're right. I think she
- 19:43Maina Campos: is I think it's your most dominant element which is a great, you know, great element to be. They're all they're all amazing. They're all amazing.
- 19:50Melissa Shere Beek: A little bit of everything would be perfect.
- 19:51Susan Hally: Do you like to stay up late at night? It depends. Because reading the are book night owls. Yeah. I always say that.
- 19:58Melissa Shere Beek: They like stay up late. Book Yeah. I'm reading a good book and I can't I can't put it down, then that's it.
- 20:03Maina Campos: I'm up.
- 20:04Melissa Shere Beek: I'm up. Yeah. I think I am up at night.
- 20:06Susan Hally: So you're yeah. I think you're right. I think what element is You thought I had to gamble in
- 20:09Maina Campos: shirt. Yeah.
- 20:10Melissa Shere Beek: Oh, I like that.
- 20:11Maina Campos: And, also, usually, we wear the colors of the elements that we are just, like Natural.
- 20:16Melissa Shere Beek: Okay. Now I'm curious. What elements are you two?
- 20:19Maina Campos: So I think What do you feel is
- 20:20Melissa Shere Beek: your dominant element?
- 20:22Maina Campos: She I know she I when you said earth and I'll I'm also I'm earth and also fire.
- 20:29Susan Hally: Yeah.
- 20:29Maina Campos: Yeah. So people always say earth and fire. Yeah. And then if I'm in work mode, people think I'm wood element. But Yeah.
- 20:35Melissa Shere Beek: It's funny because I when you said fire, I thought it was a little bit of fire, but then I was thinking more of, like, I'm a Leo and I have a tendency. So, like, I felt like a little bit, but I fire sounds good too.
- 20:47Susan Hally: I could
- 20:47Melissa Shere Beek: see wood sounds good too.
- 20:49Maina Campos: I could see wood fire.
- 20:50Susan Hally: Yeah. She's outgoing.
- 20:52Maina Campos: Wood fire. Yes. You love to dance. You're out going.
- 20:56Melissa Shere Beek: I'm outgoing with people I love.
- 20:57Maina Campos: Yeah. Yeah.
- 20:58Melissa Shere Beek: I have this side of me that I'm I'm always You're
- 21:01Maina Campos: an introvert. That's like the new I love that.
- 21:04Melissa Shere Beek: That's the terminology. That's what I am. That's the new terminology. Yeah.
- 21:07Maina Campos: I love that.
- 21:07Melissa Shere Beek: When I'm with people that I love and adore You're
- 21:10Maina Campos: comfortable with them. Yes.
- 21:11Melissa Shere Beek: Because I feel their energy. And so when I do feel their energy and I feel that that's that's a safe place for me Yeah. Then I'm very extroverted. But most of the time, I'm always behind the scenes, very introverted. I I I like to be home.
- 21:26Maina Campos: Yeah. And we bounce off of other people's Mhmm. Like energy and their energy fields. Like, it's so interesting when people ask me, like, oh, as an energy medicine practitioner and healer, like, aren't you afraid to pick up other people's stuff?
- 21:38Susan Hally: Yeah. What happened when someone
- 21:40Melissa Shere Beek: comes in like that?
- 21:41Maina Campos: That's like one of when I
- 21:43Melissa Shere Beek: was because you can feel energy. When someone comes in, you like, I can I will physically move from energy that doesn't suit with me? So you're you're practitioners. What happens when you have a client that comes in with energy that you feel and you could feel from the moment they walk in? What do you do?
- 22:00Susan Hally: Well, we have a lot of tools and techniques that we use like biogeometry, which I'm wearing today.
- 22:06Melissa Shere Beek: Both of
- 22:06Susan Hally: mine and I love our biogeometry.
- 22:08Maina Campos: And our bracelets and our jewelry are all spiritually balanced jewelry. Protection.
- 22:13Susan Hally: We love like Palo Santo and, you know, things like that. And
- 22:18Melissa Shere Beek: So you have a way to protect yourself.
- 22:20Maina Campos: Yeah. There's
- 22:20Susan Hally: also a way be working mindscape. Right? So we've learned a technique how we can, like, really just tune in and before we start our day or our sessions Mhmm. We really just, like, protect ourselves and go about, we work we we don't work within ourselves. We kind of, like, just protect the energy and then we, right, and we work as a vehicle.
- 22:46Right? And so, like, the work is going through us, but we're really not absorbing
- 22:51Melissa Shere Beek: Okay. Got it.
- 22:51Susan Hally: Or attaching to it.
- 22:52Maina Campos: Right? And I would say that, like, different than Reiki practitioners. So as a Reiki practitioner, you are a channel, and you're channeling
- 23:01Susan Hally: Yeah.
- 23:01Maina Campos: Universal energy and through and from your hands. With body talk, we're not channeling anything. We're not receiving and giving in that way intentionally. But what we are doing is tuning into your energy field and asking your body's innate wisdom to balance and restore itself. So it's a little bit different of an intention.
- 23:25And, also, when we think about energy medicine and quantum physics, just being in this room together right now, we're all in a quantum entanglement. Yeah. Right? So anytime we walk into a space where we're in a shared space, in a shared room, we're naturally exchanging energy field and energy communication and information with whoever we are in that room. That's why, like, we can either resonate or feel dissonance with people.
- 23:52Right? Like, what feels good and what doesn't feel good.
- 23:55Melissa Shere Beek: Exactly.
- 23:56Maina Campos: And then you can either choose to take it with you or just like,
- 24:00Melissa Shere Beek: you know It'll wash off you.
- 24:02Maina Campos: Yeah. And it's
- 24:02Susan Hally: the intuitive knowing too. Right?
- 24:04Maina Campos: This grounding. Yeah. And we have so many techniques and tools to work with that and even other, like, absorb all of it. Absolutely. Yeah.
- 24:13We've learned
- 24:14Susan Hally: tools and techniques. We've taken so many classes
- 24:16Maina Campos: on how to two decades. Yeah.
- 24:18Susan Hally: Take our, you know, protect our energy and
- 24:21Melissa Shere Beek: and Oh, I think you'd have to. Work on Because you come in contact with so much. Yeah.
- 24:26Susan Hally: But we all do.
- 24:27Maina Campos: Right? We all do. But, yes, we are going deeper.
- 24:30Melissa Shere Beek: Aware of it because you're going deeper. Exactly. You're working on that particular person.
- 24:34Susan Hally: Right.
- 24:34Maina Campos: And so we're also more aware of the tools and technique of how to transmute it as well. Okay. Yeah. Because it's just energy. Energy can't really be right?
- 24:44It can't be destroyed. It can only be changed and transmuted. Mhmm. And so if we're in contact with an energy that is more detrimental. Right?
- 24:54So this is from the biogeometry modality that works with balancing environments through biosignatures, shapes, and sounds, and it's a lot of the jewelries that we're wearing to protect EMFs and energy fields. Right. We know that we're not we don't wanna resonate with that energy, and so we then move the pendulum swing to the other spectrum of Got it. Of how to rebalance and come back to b g three, wholeness. Right?
- 25:27Because in our in everything, there's going to be wholeness. Even when we're working with our clients
- 25:34Melissa Shere Beek: Mhmm.
- 25:34Maina Campos: Right, we're not looking at what's wrong with somebody.
- 25:37Melissa Shere Beek: Right.
- 25:37Maina Campos: We are looking at them in their wholeness.
- 25:40Melissa Shere Beek: Right.
- 25:41Maina Campos: Right? And I think that's what makes a healer and a practitioner really great Right. Is that we are restoring the blueprint of wholeness and remembering and reminding people
- 25:51Melissa Shere Beek: Finding balance.
- 25:51Maina Campos: Because the body knows
- 25:53Susan Hally: perfect. Yes.
- 25:54Maina Campos: We're inherently whole, inherently perfect.
- 25:56Melissa Shere Beek: Right.
- 25:57Maina Campos: And we're connecting back to that state in that blueprint of that divine connection Right. Of who we are and and Resetting from
- 26:05Susan Hally: And I love that you say that, Myna, because it's very true that we our bodies have keep the score.
- 26:11Maina Campos: Right? Yes.
- 26:12Susan Hally: And remembers every Every virus, every illness, every every emotion, every memory the body remembers. So we go offline sometimes. Right. Right? So it's just rebooting
- 26:24Melissa Shere Beek: Mhmm.
- 26:24Susan Hally: And reconnecting
- 26:25Melissa Shere Beek: I us think said that,
- 26:26Maina Campos: rebooting it. Mhmm.
- 26:27Susan Hally: To to remembering, like, what it's what it feels
- 26:30Melissa Shere Beek: like. Right.
- 26:31Susan Hally: Right? To go back.
- 26:32Melissa Shere Beek: Right.
- 26:32Susan Hally: And that's why I love the resets in Body Intuitive because we can use them every day on ourselves. They're like our superpowers.
- 26:40Melissa Shere Beek: I love that.
- 26:41Susan Hally: And then we could, you know, we don't have to source out all the time to go for a session, but we can say, what are we gonna do today? Like, where am I feeling weak? My digestion? Am I feeling low energy? Is it like, am I feeling, you know, angry?
- 26:56And so we have these these resets that we work with to help us balance that we can you know, move through things easefully. But I also wanna add that we didn't finish our middle elements, the fifth element.
- 27:11Maina Campos: Oh, okay.
- 27:12Susan Hally: So we have metal.
- 27:13Melissa Shere Beek: Okay.
- 27:14Susan Hally: Okay. So I just wanna loop back to
- 27:16Melissa Shere Beek: that because
- 27:16Susan Hally: we kinda like went off on a tangent all of it. Yeah. But we do that a lot.
- 27:20Maina Campos: Do you think because energy is like that?
- 27:22Susan Hally: Right? Yes.
- 27:23Melissa Shere Beek: But that's normal.
- 27:24Susan Hally: I like it. We do.
- 27:25Maina Campos: But we're gonna we're gonna finish it. We're gonna go. Yeah.
- 27:27Melissa Shere Beek: Go back to metal.
- 27:28Susan Hally: So metal is in, the fall, right, autumn, and it is, connected with the, lungs and the large intestines.
- 27:39Melissa Shere Beek: Okay.
- 27:40Susan Hally: The emotion around metal is grief.
- 27:44Maina Campos: And so Letting go. Letting go. Seen. Right?
- 27:48Susan Hally: So if someone would come in with, let's say, constipation, which is very common, you know, right, you know, intuitively, I'm like, okay. I'm gonna check-in and see if they're imbalanced in their mental element.
- 28:01Maina Campos: Right?
- 28:01Susan Hally: Because they're having a hard time letting go.
- 28:04Maina Campos: Okay. Through the muscle testing.
- 28:06Susan Hally: We ask through, kinesiology muscle testing. And
- 28:09Melissa Shere Beek: And what is the muscle testing? Is that a hands on like Reiki? Is
- 28:13Susan Hally: it Well, there's different ways to muscle test.
- 28:16Melissa Shere Beek: Okay. We've learned talking about acupoints and stuff like that.
- 28:19Susan Hally: So It's a little bit different.
- 28:20Melissa Shere Beek: Okay.
- 28:21Susan Hally: So muscle testing is like when we're working in person on somebody, we can use hands on and we can use a sliding hand, like, you know, on the table and ask yeses and noes.
- 28:34Melissa Shere Beek: Got it.
- 28:34Susan Hally: Or we can use our finger and just slide on top of someone's skin and ask yeses and noes. And we have practiced so many times that we're so good at our yeses and noes now. Right?
- 28:46Melissa Shere Beek: Absolutely. So the by you're listening to the body respond to you.
- 28:49Susan Hally: Because your body knows. So we're just saying and by the way, let me preface by saying we always always ask for consent whenever we work with somebody.
- 28:59Melissa Shere Beek: Sure. Sure.
- 28:59Susan Hally: And so once we test, you know, whether we use the finger slide or the the arm slide or if we're working remotely, we can use like, yes, you know, show me a no, show me a yes, show me a no, show me a yes, or show me no, show me yes. Yeah. And these are ways that we can ask.
- 29:19Melissa Shere Beek: The body. The body. Got it.
- 29:21Maina Campos: And this is applied kinesiology,
- 29:23Susan Hally: which is
- 29:24Maina Campos: a little bit different than just kinesiology itself, which is testing for strength. Right? So sometimes when you go to a chiropractor, right, they'll have you, like, hold on a specific
- 29:35Susan Hally: supplement Push up.
- 29:36Maina Campos: And they'll test you for the strength. Like, does this make your ecosystem stronger
- 29:41Melissa Shere Beek: or weaker?
- 29:42Maina Campos: And then, you know, your arm will go down if it's weaker. So we can do that also. But with the applied kinesiology, we're setting up a yes and no communication Mhmm. To signal so that we have, you know, so that we have the ability to then create a formula Uh-huh. To tap the body into.
- 30:03So we're tapping over the head, the heart, the gut brain, and what the tapping is doing is it's creating
- 30:09Susan Hally: New standing
- 30:10Maina Campos: wave. A standing wave. So remember, our energy beams. Right? So our energy is never stagnant.
- 30:16Right. Right? We're constantly, like, with heartbeat, our energy is pulsing. And then when we're tapping over the head brain, it's saying, hey, brain, wake up. Pay attention.
- 30:26Become aware of this new possibility for healing.
- 30:28Susan Hally: Right. Like new information is coming in. Right? It's like our brain is like our computer.
- 30:33Melissa Shere Beek: That's
- 30:34Susan Hally: it. So we have, like, all these things going on in our brain.
- 30:37Maina Campos: So many
- 30:38Melissa Shere Beek: tabs are open.
- 30:39Susan Hally: A 100 Acupoints in our brain. Right? So we're giving these Acupoints like
- 30:43Melissa Shere Beek: Mhmm.
- 30:43Susan Hally: A tap to say, okay, wake up.
- 30:45Melissa Shere Beek: Yes.
- 30:46Susan Hally: New information is coming in. And then we Move into a heart. Into the
- 30:50Maina Campos: heart. Right? Right.
- 30:51Susan Hally: So the
- 30:52Maina Campos: heart is where all the information gets distributed
- 30:55Susan Hally: Right. Through the heartbeat. I always like to say, like, send the memo around the body.
- 30:59Maina Campos: Send the memo. And also, we know things. Right? We memorize things by heart. Yes.
- 31:03You don't say, oh, I know. We never say I know this by brain. We know it and we remember Mhmm. To store the information. Store this new possibility for balance and healing at the heart level, and then our gut brain is make it visceral.
- 31:17Make it like gut, like, feel it in my gut. Innate. Mhmm. Very visceral.
- 31:22Melissa Shere Beek: Mhmm.
- 31:22Maina Campos: Very primal, innate, like, gut brain.
- 31:25Susan Hally: And think about what's down in that lower dentin and that lower area is our whole digestive system, kidney system because we work in the front of the body but also works in the back of the body. Right. So we have our kidneys, our reproductive system, our digestive system. So when we're tapping into All of it, we're saying, okay. All these systems go online.
- 31:48Melissa Shere Beek: Start yeah. Go online.
- 31:49Susan Hally: Start, like, you know, start rebooting. Right? Re resuscitating. Right? Restoring that connection.
- 31:56Yes.
- 31:56Maina Campos: Also remembering that we have more neurons, brain cells in our gut brain than in our actual brain and heart Uh-huh. Because all of the production of dopamine and serotonin levels, it's all happening from our gut brain.
- 32:12Susan Hally: It's true. Do you remember when we first started, we only tapped in our head and our hearts? Yep. And then with new science and the last twenty years Yeah.
- 32:20Maina Campos: There's a huge back brain connection.
- 32:22Susan Hally: Gut brain has become the big brain. Right? That's the brain. So I think honestly like the
- 32:27Maina Campos: It's our identity. That's why It's it's
- 32:29Melissa Shere Beek: our ego.
- 32:30Susan Hally: It's our third chakra. It's our immune
- 32:33Maina Campos: immune shield and support. It's all happening in the gut brain and when we started tapping into the gut brain that, like, took our levels.
- 32:41Susan Hally: It kinda changed our whole practice.
- 32:43Maina Campos: It really
- 32:43Susan Hally: did. Right?
- 32:44Maina Campos: Yeah. With That's cool. Knowing about the microbiome. It's just
- 32:47Susan Hally: it's It's just such an upgrade.
- 32:49Melissa Shere Beek: You know? Talk about that. Are there certain foods that we should be doing doing to focus those whole another kind
- 32:55Maina Campos: of food. Mean, diet would be totally a whole other Okay.
- 33:00Melissa Shere Beek: Yeah. We can come back exercise for the gut brain health. Like, what should we be doing to because I know you're building a toolbox for your clients, and you're teaching them how to restore balance and all those things.
- 33:11Maina Campos: How to be? Seasonally, there's gonna be specific things we should eat Uh-huh. Depending on what your dominant element That's true. Right.
- 33:20Melissa Shere Beek: Right? And then that's only only one. Aspects of.
- 33:23Maina Campos: And that's only one lens
- 33:24Susan Hally: Mhmm.
- 33:25Maina Campos: Of Chinese element. Then you have Ayurvedic medicine
- 33:28Melissa Shere Beek: Yeah.
- 33:29Maina Campos: And your doshas. Right. And so it really depends constitution. Right? Everyone's constitution, your doshas.
- 33:35It depends on what your blood type is.
- 33:38Susan Hally: True.
- 33:38Melissa Shere Beek: True.
- 33:38Maina Campos: It also depends on, like, which season you are.
- 33:41Melissa Shere Beek: That's what you like.
- 33:42Susan Hally: Also, how you grew up, you're vivaxxist.
- 33:44Maina Campos: Yeah. You know? Culturally So I
- 33:47Susan Hally: ate so different in New York than I do here. Like, I wanted bagels and pizza in New York because And it's here, all I wanna do is eat salad and like hummus and things like that. So it's true seasonally Yeah. We
- 34:01Maina Campos: feel like Seasonally, different times of, you know, like, different ages as well. Like, now, I just became 40, and I'm like, okay. I want protein, all the protein. Whereas, like, the last decade, I was, like, half vegetarian for half of the time, and now I'm like, how how do they do that?
- 34:16Melissa Shere Beek: You know, I'm you're talking to a vegetarian.
- 34:18Susan Hally: So Different stages.
- 34:19Maina Campos: Yeah. You know? So it really depends on the stages, the blood type. So then we really work individually with each person and where they're at Yes. In their ecosystem, their story, their culture, their ancestry, the time they are And that's what elements they
- 34:37Susan Hally: of our bit of our practice is that it's so inefficient. Stagnant. No. And everybody is different and everyone's makeup is different.
- 34:46Melissa Shere Beek: It's so cool.
- 34:47Maina Campos: And when we do have stagnation, that's where we have imbalance and pain. Right.
- 34:51Melissa Shere Beek: Yes.
- 34:51Maina Campos: Right? So stagnation and pain in the body, like, talk about chi. Right? If we wanna talk about our life force energy. Right?
- 34:59Like, our life force energy, the chi within our bodies, then that's like when chi is healthy, when our life force is healthy, it's vital. It's vibrating. It's moving. There's movement. Circulation.
- 35:11But then the moment we stop, pain is literally stagnant energy.
- 35:16Susan Hally: Right.
- 35:16Maina Campos: Mhmm. It's stagnation.
- 35:18Melissa Shere Beek: It can't move.
- 35:19Susan Hally: Exactly. Love about what we do because we're really able to get into the nooks and crannies, right, and the deep reserves of the body to be really able to,
- 35:29Melissa Shere Beek: you know fulfilling. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt you, but I'm thinking how fulfilling that is to really help someone to move forward when they have been in such a place
- 35:37Susan Hally: that their body's so unbound. We have seen, like, miracles, honestly. Right? It's really
- 35:42Maina Campos: special and beautiful. And, I mean, people just have to be willing to go deep. Yeah.
- 35:47Susan Hally: And and be open Yes. To And also, I just also wanna loop back to you said how you we protect ourselves. And one of the main things for me is that I have great colleagues like Mina where we give each other sessions and we really So support each we're always, you know, checking in and
- 36:06Melissa Shere Beek: On each other.
- 36:07Maina Campos: On our families because we can't really treat our families. Right.
- 36:10Susan Hally: Too close to home, right? Yeah. Yes. So we do. We really are able to That's awesome.
- 36:15Support each other, and we have such an amazing community. I mean, a lot of my very dear closest friends have become my BodyTalk, BodyIntuitive colleagues. Right? It's been like an amazing journey for us.
- 36:29Melissa Shere Beek: How beautiful to have a community like that.
- 36:31Susan Hally: Oh, we're so blessed. We're so
- 36:33Maina Campos: grateful so grateful to doctor John Valdheim who was the
- 36:36Susan Hally: Can we just say
- 36:37Maina Campos: Yeah. The creator and founder of the Body Talk System because our, like, bestest friends and network of healers and community has really come from the Body Talk System. Wow. This was an an acupuncturist and chiropractor from Australia who passed about now it's been, like, three years.
- 36:57Melissa Shere Beek: Is
- 36:57Susan Hally: it been? Wow.
- 36:58Maina Campos: Got to study and travel with him
- 37:01Susan Hally: Yes.
- 37:01Maina Campos: And really learn hands on
- 37:03Susan Hally: from him.
- 37:03Maina Campos: We would go to Sarasota all the time. Wow. That's where the headquarters for the International Body Talk Association was. Thank So god it was so close to
- 37:10Melissa Shere Beek: Yeah. I was gonna say that. Great.
- 37:12Susan Hally: Road trips and just, like, come back, like, oh my god. I feel so whole
- 37:15Maina Campos: and lit up. We were so lit up and animated and We have sessions with and excited Yeah. To, like, okay, let's get to work and let's get to practice everything we learned. And he was always just at the front and, like Yes. Forefront,
- 37:31Susan Hally: cutting edge.
- 37:31Maina Campos: Healing. Healing, and he just knew about everything. He was How
- 37:35Melissa Shere Beek: lucky to have such a mentor like that.
- 37:37Susan Hally: We learned a lot. Right? Yeah. We're very lucky. Wow.
- 37:40Yeah.
- 37:41Melissa Shere Beek: Oh, that's so exciting. Okay. So what practices do you think we should incorporate? Is it, again, just an individual thing, or is there something that we all should be
- 37:50Susan Hally: Well, let's just talk about, like, things that we love.
- 37:53Melissa Shere Beek: Like Okay.
- 37:54Susan Hally: Let's go through that list. What do you think about that?
- 37:56Maina Campos: I that definitely, like, I think that having rituals that you're doing on a daily basis
- 38:06Melissa Shere Beek: Right.
- 38:06Maina Campos: Are gonna be the best way for optimal wellness and self care. Right? So just Okay. Taking a moment, like, five minutes a day to start with
- 38:18Melissa Shere Beek: Mhmm.
- 38:18Maina Campos: To go out and just be in the sun, to eat clean foods, foods that are nourishing. Right?
- 38:25Susan Hally: To Move your body. Right? We love that. Dancing was one of our favorite things. Yoga.
- 38:32Ichi. Yeah. You know, really important. Right?
- 38:36Maina Campos: Those rituals that we do. Like, you know, a lot of times people wanna get, like, get really complex with these things, but I think it's like the daily Yes. Habits that make it simple and just being consistent with self care.
- 38:53Melissa Shere Beek: That's true. Consistency.
- 38:55Maina Campos: Yes. Grounding and being in nature.
- 38:58Susan Hally: And eating mindful. Right?
- 39:00Maina Campos: Mindful eating. And just taking moments to express your emotions, to feel connected. Hugs, I think. Hugs are amazing. Connection.
- 39:11Melissa Shere Beek: You know, I read somewhere that you you should have at least seven or eight hugs
- 39:15Susan Hally: a day. I read the same.
- 39:17Melissa Shere Beek: Where your heart talks to others. And when you're connected yeah. And when you're
- 39:23Susan Hally: connected physically
- 39:25Melissa Shere Beek: and all of that emotion and energy that that feeds us.
- 39:30Maina Campos: Yes. Absolutely.
- 39:31Susan Hally: It does. And supplements, like, it's important, right, to have plant based supplements and and tonics and tinctures. We love all that, and we love our essential oils. Both of us are very, very, you know, dedicated to our oil practice. I love frankincense.
- 39:49It's my go to. Can you
- 39:51Melissa Shere Beek: tell us both a little bit more about not only your go to oils, but, like, the different meanings that the oils have that maybe you use with your with your clients? Like
- 39:59Susan Hally: Yeah. Well, we muscle test. We always ask. Right? Everything we always ask, and everybody's different.
- 40:05Melissa Shere Beek: Why is frankincense your go to?
- 40:07Susan Hally: I just feel like it addresses on every level. I think it's, like, the highest frequency. Roses also.
- 40:14Maina Campos: Yeah. I love rose.
- 40:15Susan Hally: I love rose.
- 40:16Melissa Shere Beek: What do they do? Tell me a little bit about
- 40:19Susan Hally: is like an antibacterial, antifungal, antimicro microbe, anti everything, you know, fungus.
- 40:27Melissa Shere Beek: Applying it on your body, or is this something that smelling in the air?
- 40:31Susan Hally: I love to diffuse. Mine and I have big diffusers.
- 40:33Melissa Shere Beek: Okay.
- 40:34Susan Hally: And I, also like to smell frankincense. You could apply it on the acupoints, the meridian system in your body, and that really amplifies balance. Mhmm.
- 40:45Maina Campos: Diffusing it in your home.
- 40:47Melissa Shere Beek: Yes. And
- 40:48Maina Campos: remembering that when we are breathing in anything, it's working with the olfactory part of the brain, which is within our limbic brain, which has to do with our emotional regulation. Sure. So it's really helping to work with our mood support.
- 41:04Susan Hally: Totally.
- 41:05Maina Campos: So all of these essential oils are getting us out of, like, different states of being. Mhmm. And each essential oil has different meanings. So for frankincense
- 41:13Melissa Shere Beek: Yes. So tell me tell me a couple of
- 41:15Maina Campos: So frankincense would be highest truth. Mhmm. Rose, I love the rose oil. It's the highest Love. Heart opening love, connection, vibration.
- 41:25Lavender is very good for calming. It's an antihistamine.
- 41:29Susan Hally: Mhmm.
- 41:30Maina Campos: So for anything for inflammation Infections
- 41:33Susan Hally: on your body. Skin. Yes. Right? Skin.
- 41:36Maina Campos: For any kind of skin thing. I remember.
- 41:39Susan Hally: I love peppermint.
- 41:40Maina Campos: I love peppermint. It wakes me up. It's energizing. Yes. It It wakes It's energizing.
- 41:44Me I love it to, like, work out. Like, before I work out
- 41:48Susan Hally: I like to diffuse it Yep. Too. It's a good one.
- 41:50Maina Campos: All the citrus oils are gonna be uplifting, very Lametti, mood boosting, serotonin releasing. Mhmm.
- 41:58Melissa Shere Beek: So What's a grounding oil?
- 42:00Maina Campos: Grounding oil would be all of, like, the trees. Mhmm.
- 42:03Melissa Shere Beek: So, like,
- 42:03Susan Hally: the balsamic Tea tree. Eucalyptus. Yep. We love that. Yep.
- 42:09All the tree oils.
- 42:11Maina Campos: The tree oils. Marjoram. Spikenard.
- 42:14Susan Hally: Oh, I love Spikenard. Forgot about that one. And then applying them, let's say you had a bronchitis or a lung infection. Right? Eucalyptus.
- 42:23Diffusing that or putting it on the lung points or on your chest. Remember when I had that really bad cough in one of our classes? Yeah. Mine was like putting off The Breathe oil.
- 42:33Maina Campos: The Breathe oil that's like a blend of peppermint. And it was like
- 42:36Susan Hally: opening up my lungs and my airway passages.
- 42:39Maina Campos: That's what I use in my son. Like Yeah. He's coughing at night or can't breathe, I just rub, you know, oils on the bottoms of his feet and on his chest and down his spine. I remember one time, he had a really high fever, and, and I was like, oh, well, he's gonna be sleeping anyways. And I left a babysitter with him to, like, for a date night that we had preplanned already.
- 43:02And then halfway through the movie, the the babysitter text me, he's running a really high fever. And I said and she's like, please come home. And of course, we did. I said, please just rub the peppermint oil down his spine. She said within a minute, he like It's good.
- 43:18Yeah, his temperature went all the way down. He got up and he was like totally fine by the time we got
- 43:23Melissa Shere Beek: home Wow.
- 43:24Maina Campos: Just peppermint oil down his spine. You know? So
- 43:28Melissa Shere Beek: So is that part of the acupoints you're talking about when you talk about the bottoms of the feet Yeah.
- 43:32Susan Hally: Meridian system, acupoints, you know, just addressing all those, you know, points. Kidney two is a really good point on the butt Mhmm. To bring down fever. So putting a oil on that is really good
- 43:45Melissa Shere Beek: Okay.
- 43:45Susan Hally: To help with that. But what else do we do besides oils? We do so many things. We love LifeWave patches. I'll let my name talk about that.
- 43:53Maina Campos: Oh, yeah. So I've got I've got my
- 43:55Susan Hally: my five patches
- 43:57Maina Campos: on, and so those are photobiomodulation
- 44:01Melissa Shere Beek: patches. Tell us what that is.
- 44:03Maina Campos: They're nontransdermal patches, which means there's nothing going into your body. There's just a frequency that's embedded within a crystalline lattice
- 44:13Melissa Shere Beek: Okay.
- 44:13Maina Campos: Pattern of the patch. And so with the LifeWave, what's happening is it's signaling to your body to make its own peptides. So you know how the sun signals to your body to produce vitamin d, but there's no vitamin d in the sun.
- 44:30Melissa Shere Beek: Right.
- 44:30Maina Campos: But it signals Stimulates. And stimulates and activates your own body's ability to produce Mhmm. Vitamin d, which is actually a hormone. Yeah. Right?
- 44:39And so the same thing, these patches, there's there's 10 different ones, but I have one on the back of my neck that's stimulating a peptide called the GHK copper peptide, c e peptide. That one's for activating stem cells in the body. So it's like the holy grail of renewal and rejuvenation.
- 44:58Melissa Shere Beek: Generating. Yeah.
- 44:59Susan Hally: The x 39?
- 45:00Maina Campos: The x 39 for age reversal. Mhmm. And just to help, you know, everything in the body kind of light up in a different way. I'm wearing ones for energy enhancing to really activate my mitochondrial processes in the body.
- 45:14Melissa Shere Beek: The powerhouse.
- 45:15Susan Hally: Oh, it's a really good new science is so good today.
- 45:19Maina Campos: So it's it's getting so instead of injecting peptides, I prefer to stimulate my body's ability
- 45:27Susan Hally: naturally. To
- 45:28Maina Campos: do it naturally with these photobiomodulation patches.
- 45:33Susan Hally: So it's
- 45:33Maina Campos: so they're wearable light Mhmm. Wave Mhmm.
- 45:37Susan Hally: Because we are light. Right? Our body is all light.
- 45:40Maina Campos: And we know that light creates change. Right? So we have, like, the infrared light craze right now. We know that the sun and so this is just using wearable light patches
- 45:51Melissa Shere Beek: Mhmm.
- 45:51Maina Campos: To create changes Right. Regeneration in our bodies.
- 45:55Susan Hally: Light therapy.
- 45:56Maina Campos: Yeah. So we do that. We also do the AO scan, which What's
- 46:00Melissa Shere Beek: AO scan?
- 46:00Maina Campos: Yeah. That's so that is working with, like, quantum frequency imprinting. So it's using sounds and different quantum imprinting wavelengths
- 46:13Melissa Shere Beek: Mhmm.
- 46:13Maina Campos: To work with specific people. And so with this, there's like a scan that happens, like vital scans. You can also make certain playlists. So everything has a frequency. Right.
- 46:25Melissa Shere Beek: Right? We used to do a lot of sound stuff when we were doing yoga. Yes. Was a lot
- 46:29Maina Campos: yoga. Sound And we're both yoga instructors as well. Mhmm. So we have, like, a background in, like, that as well. And
- 46:38Susan Hally: Crystals. We both love crystals, and that really balances and helps. I always start a session with a crystal. Like, I always feel like it's very grounding.
- 46:48Melissa Shere Beek: Do you have a specific crystal you
- 46:49Maina Campos: start with? Quartz.
- 46:50Susan Hally: Like, it's just for sessions, but for myself, I mean, I I'll ask, you know, what I need. Mhmm. I mean, you know, quartz is a good one. Rose quartz is always a good one.
- 47:02Maina Campos: My favorite one is the indigo gabbro. So that's, like, one from Madagascar, and that one's one that's always, like, transmuting energy. So I feel like that one's really amazing for energy healing
- 47:14Melissa Shere Beek: sessions. Each of them have a really a specific
- 47:17Maina Campos: Intention. Intention. Yep.
- 47:19Susan Hally: And helping to
- 47:20Melissa Shere Beek: For protection or for healing or for organs or for body parts or for
- 47:24Susan Hally: energy. Exactly.
- 47:25Maina Campos: We also work with the the Bach flower essence.
- 47:28Susan Hally: Oh, yes.
- 47:29Maina Campos: We can't forget that. We can't forget how
- 47:30Susan Hally: we're back. What's that? So these are flower essences. Mhmm. There's 38 of them, and Edward Bach designed these flowers and it's processed, you know, out I think it started in London, right, in English.
- 47:45Melissa Shere Beek: Is it actually flower or oils from the flower?
- 47:48Susan Hally: Well, it's in essence. What he does is he dries the flowers. Uh-huh. It's a
- 47:52Maina Campos: sundown process.
- 47:54Susan Hally: Right. And he just puts
- 47:55Maina Campos: yep. He just puts the flowers and water, and then the sunlight seeps through them. And he was a doctor. He was a virologist.
- 48:03Susan Hally: Doctor. Edward Brock. Yeah.
- 48:04Maina Campos: And he's actually stopped his medical practice to just practice Yeah. These 38 essences that he discovered because he said that he could treat everything
- 48:16Melissa Shere Beek: Right.
- 48:17Maina Campos: From an emotional level. So these flowers work on our psychic and emotional levels. Wow.
- 48:24Susan Hally: What's your favorite one?
- 48:26Maina Campos: It depends on what I need it for. But, like, recently, I've been using one for, just feeling overwhelmed. Right? So, like, as a mom, I'm in my mom's stage, my mom era.
- 48:36Susan Hally: Yeah.
- 48:37Maina Campos: So Elm. Right? So feeling overwhelmed, and that one really helps me when I feel like,
- 48:42Susan Hally: oh my god. I've got so much to do.
- 48:43Maina Campos: Okay. Then when I start feeling balanced and I know that I no longer need it, I'm like, okay. I can do this one day at a time, one moment at a
- 48:52Melissa Shere Beek: moment at a time.
- 48:52Maina Campos: Yeah. One moment at
- 48:53Susan Hally: a time.
- 48:54Melissa Shere Beek: For sure.
- 48:54Susan Hally: I think I like rescue because it addresses like a lot of everything. Mhmm. You know, stress and it just helps like
- 49:02Melissa Shere Beek: I was
- 49:03Susan Hally: gonna say everything now.
- 49:04Melissa Shere Beek: Days with everything that we're inundated with Yes. Social media and news in the world and everything that's so divisive. Is there one that just really can't?
- 49:11Susan Hally: Rescue Remedy would probably be my dose.
- 49:13Maina Campos: Yeah. And you can get that at Whole Foods easily. So that one is one that's like a blend of five different
- 49:20Melissa Shere Beek: Okay. Cool.
- 49:20Maina Campos: Baccarat essence. And the way you do
- 49:21Susan Hally: it is you dose. Yeah. So it's a liquid.
- 49:23Melissa Shere Beek: How do you do that?
- 49:24Susan Hally: Well, it comes in a little bottle like this Mhmm. And then you just dose. I take a couple of drops
- 49:30Melissa Shere Beek: A couple drops. Okay.
- 49:31Maina Campos: And so we're all
- 49:32Susan Hally: muscle testing.
- 49:33Melissa Shere Beek: Right. Yeah.
- 49:34Maina Campos: And we're all always muscle testing, like, if how much a person needs. So it depends on the person.
- 49:39Melissa Shere Beek: Right.
- 49:40Maina Campos: And that's how we find
- 49:41Susan Hally: And sometimes we could dilute it. Remember Alicia talked about putting it in water, like
- 49:45Maina Campos: two drops in the water and drink it throughout the day.
- 49:47Susan Hally: So throughout the day, you're drinking and
- 49:49Maina Campos: getting little doses. Of getting the dosage. Yeah. Another modality that we really love is, the cardinal method modality with the crystals that blends crystals with family constellations.
- 50:02Susan Hally: Mhmm.
- 50:03Maina Campos: And family constellations is another practice that's working around, like, our family wounds
- 50:08Melissa Shere Beek: Yeah.
- 50:09Maina Campos: And how our
- 50:09Melissa Shere Beek: family generational.
- 50:11Maina Campos: That is didn't start with me. Right? That's an amazing book.
- 50:14Melissa Shere Beek: We're carrying all of it. Mhmm.
- 50:16Maina Campos: And it's just, like, in our DNA and in our cells. And, like, when we talk about epigenetics and, you know, like, a lot of times people say, oh, well, this is genetics. And, yes, a part of that is true, but then there's epigenetics. Right? So it's like turning on the markers, turning on and off.
- 50:33And what actually turns on and off markers is going to be our diet, our environment, our relationships
- 50:40Susan Hally: Mhmm.
- 50:40Maina Campos: The quality of our living. Right? So it's like those genetic things don't actually have to be your story unless you make it.
- 50:49Melissa Shere Beek: Right. Unless you continue to carry all of it.
- 50:51Maina Campos: So it's empowering. And it you know, and then a lot of times, like, if Susan and I are working with clients, and this is what I love. Like, if if we feel that a client like, we've seen them for three sessions and they're doing great, but sometimes built in with in our modalities of body talk and body intuitive, we can also ask if other modalities are a priority Mhmm. And if other practitioners are a priority. Then we would spur them out and say, hey.
- 51:20Like, I'm really enjoying working with you on these sessions. However, right now, your body's asking for another practitioner to see another lens. And then once you're done with that aspect, you we can come back and do some more work. But right now, like, your soul is calling for maybe family constellations or it's calling for
- 51:40Susan Hally: Biogeometry. Biology. Trait.
- 51:42Melissa Shere Beek: So you're always listening to what the
- 51:44Susan Hally: body is telling you. You know? Asking and listening. Got it. Right?
- 51:49And that's what I love about what we do is that we're able to tune in and tap into that and ask, like, what does that person need and who is that practitioner?
- 51:57Melissa Shere Beek: Absolutely. What's the biggest misconception with holistic healing?
- 52:00Susan Hally: Well, people think it's woo woo and it's out there. But honestly, like, I think today, more than ever, it's more accepted.
- 52:09Maina Campos: Mhmm.
- 52:10Susan Hally: You know, twenty years ago when we both started into this practices, it wasn't that talked about. It wasn't really, like, out there. Right? So I think today, you know, with social media and the platforms out there
- 52:23Melissa Shere Beek: An awareness,
- 52:23Susan Hally: more awareness. More awareness. So much more. And what I love about that is, you know, there's so much new science. Even though we are using Chinese medicine from five thousand years ago, right, ancient wisdom.
- 52:36Right. Right? We're also, like, using new science like the patches or the Ao scale.
- 52:43Melissa Shere Beek: I was gonna ask you, like, what sort of are there new modalities on the horizon that
- 52:47Susan Hally: AO scanner, definitely. LifeWave for sure.
- 52:50Maina Campos: LifeWave is huge. I would say the AO scan, quantum scales, like the Healy
- 52:56Susan Hally: Stem cells.
- 52:57Maina Campos: Everything related to stem cells.
- 52:59Melissa Shere Beek: The patches were something new that I didn't know about.
- 53:02Susan Hally: Yeah. Yeah. We'll have to tell you more about it when we go offline.
- 53:04Maina Campos: AI assisted, like, tracking devices. Right?
- 53:09Susan Hally: Mine is really good with this. She's my girl to
- 53:11Melissa Shere Beek: go to, like All the new yeah.
- 53:13Susan Hally: All the new therapies. The latest and the greatest.
- 53:15Maina Campos: But I would say, like, the most advanced towards energy medicine right now is biogeometry. Okay. Like, that's really where I'm leaning my studies more into and studying heavily.
- 53:26Melissa Shere Beek: Can you tell us a little bit more about the biogeometry?
- 53:28Maina Campos: Yep. So when we talk about, energy medicine and when we talk about electromagnetic energy fields, right, so everything right now, like, we have, like, the Wi Fi, those signals. We have all the signals in the rooms here with all of the different, you know, wiring Equipment. And everything that's kind of unseen. So there's a lot of electrosmog in the spaces with our cell phones and microwaves and
- 53:56Susan Hally: all kinds
- 53:57Maina Campos: of things. There's Mhmm. Electro pollution
- 53:59Melissa Shere Beek: Yeah. Mhmm.
- 53:59Maina Campos: And that weakens our energy field. Right. And so biogeometry is a solution and an antidote to that. And so it's a it's a modality from Egypt. Mhmm.
- 54:11Susan Hally: So it's kinda old too. It's old news.
- 54:13Maina Campos: Well, it's yeah. It's been around since the early nineties by doctor Ebrahim Karim from Egypt.
- 54:21Melissa Shere Beek: Uh-huh.
- 54:21Maina Campos: And him and his family are definitely, like, taking this forward, and they do seminars, and they really teach about how to balance the EMFs.
- 54:35Melissa Shere Beek: Okay.
- 54:35Maina Campos: And not only the environment, but also the EMFs within our bodies. And there's a lot of practitioners that will go into a space, into a home, into different spaces, and they will be able to transmute the energy of, like, the electrosmock and turn it into something that's more balancing
- 54:57Susan Hally: instead of detriment. Right?
- 54:59Maina Campos: So the g
- 54:59Susan Hally: g three. Yeah. Okay.
- 55:01Maina Campos: Yeah. So biogeometry, I think, is really worth Okay. Looking And I feel that
- 55:08Susan Hally: I like light therapy too.
- 55:10Maina Campos: Yeah. But You know, I like light therapy.
- 55:12Susan Hally: Yes. Absolutely.
- 55:14Maina Campos: We love the photo colors, the chromotherapy. I mean, are so many amazing modalities. And
- 55:21Susan Hally: so what I love about that is East meets West.
- 55:24Maina Campos: So when I
- 55:24Susan Hally: say that, it's like the old meets the new. Right. And so using both modalities in our sessions, I think we really are able to get a lot done in a
- 55:35Maina Campos: way. And it goes back
- 55:36Susan Hally: to the
- 55:36Maina Campos: question you asked, like, is the biggest misconception? And I think that the biggest misconception to holistic healing is that it's like against science or that Mhmm. It's one or the other, and it's really not. I think it's the complementary blend Right. Of Perfect.
- 55:53You know, having, like, Western medicine along with Eastern medicines or alternative medicine practices and all of these other modalities because, you know, Western medicine is amazing with all of its technological advances and all of the healing that we can do nowadays Mhmm. And even for crisis intervention. Like, if I get into a car accident Yeah. Don't take me to Susan. I love Susan.
- 56:18But take
- 56:18Susan Hally: me to a hospital. Right.
- 56:19Maina Campos: No. I
- 56:20Melissa Shere Beek: get it. But I like what you
- 56:21Susan Hally: said that they
- 56:22Melissa Shere Beek: complement each other. It doesn't
- 56:23Susan Hally: have to
- 56:24Melissa Shere Beek: be an either or. Think that's beautifully said.
- 56:26Maina Campos: For prevention.
- 56:27Melissa Shere Beek: Mhmm.
- 56:28Maina Campos: Right? So for prevention Right. For maintenance Maintenance. Support, for regeneration Forgive. Yes, I want to know what are the latest and greatest in holistic medicine, energy medicine, and everyone in that field.
- 56:42Melissa Shere Beek: Okay. So speaking of maintenance and balance, can you give our listeners a little reset? Can we do a little reset?
- 56:49Susan Hally: Yeah. Let's do it. Okay. Yeah. Yeah.
- 56:51Just
- 56:51Melissa Shere Beek: like a short and sweet little reset. That would
- 56:53Susan Hally: be great.
- 56:54Melissa Shere Beek: Let's do it.
- 56:55Susan Hally: Okay. So we muscle tested as we do with everything, and we're gonna teach and show your audience Okay. The water element because we're in water element time.
- 57:04Melissa Shere Beek: Okay.
- 57:05Susan Hally: So it's a good time to balance. Okay. Right. Your kidneys and your urinary bladder and also just support your heart like we talked about because it's the opposite season.
- 57:13Melissa Shere Beek: Okay. Good.
- 57:14Susan Hally: So I'm going to have Mina be my model. Okay. And we work with charts. Just hold this up to show your audience. Right?
- 57:25Melissa Shere Beek: Some people are only gonna be able to hear it.
- 57:27Susan Hally: Okay. Some
- 57:27Melissa Shere Beek: people will see it on YouTube. Okay. Give us all the context. Okay.
- 57:31Susan Hally: So that's metal. So we're gonna do water and we know that's the wintertime. And so basically, what we're gonna be doing is we're gonna be accessing the deep reserves and the energy in the body. Because think about like winter
- 57:45Maina Campos: Mhmm.
- 57:45Susan Hally: Hibernation, people are going inward. Right? So we're we're, you know, reviving the will. Right? The willpower.
- 57:54And we're also helping to support the body in producing and storing the fundamental substances in our body. And what is that? That's our blood. It's our lymph. It's the water systems, the waterways.
- 58:07Mhmm. And we know our body is what? Like, 80% water. Right? Yeah.
- 58:11So we're helping to boost that. And, also, the water element works well with hormones, and that's like a big buzzword there.
- 58:19Melissa Shere Beek: Right?
- 58:19Susan Hally: The hormones and balancing and boosting our hormones. So we use, our brain and our kidneys, as a contact point. So I'm gonna have I'm gonna talk about this, and then we're gonna then we're gonna do the, the practical. Okay? Got it.
- 58:37So, basically, we contact our kidneys. Everybody knows their kidneys are behind their back, touch any part of the head or the brain. It could be the forehead.
- 58:46Melissa Shere Beek: So we put one hand on our head
- 58:48Susan Hally: One hand on the
- 58:49Melissa Shere Beek: head. And one hand on our
- 58:50Susan Hally: On our kidneys. Our kidneys. Lower your back. So lower
- 58:53Maina Campos: your back.
- 58:53Melissa Shere Beek: Listeners. If you're driving, don't do it. Exactly.
- 58:57Susan Hally: Put one hand on your head and one hand on your back.
- 58:59Melissa Shere Beek: The top of your head or your forehead? The top your head.
- 59:02Susan Hally: Matter because, you know Anywhere in the brain. Yeah. The brain is all encompassed here. So it could be, you know, left side, right side, back of the head, top of the head, front of the head.
- 59:10Maina Campos: Right?
- 59:10Susan Hally: And then, you know, so we do that. Everything in Chinese medicine and these resets are done three times. Right? So we're gonna focus on in those areas. Mhmm.
- 59:20And then we're gonna pick we have three acupoints that support this water element. Okay? And the first one is heart seven, and it's on the left side.
- 59:31Melissa Shere Beek: And You're so touching your hand
- 59:33Susan Hally: down by your wrist. Crease. Right?
- 59:35Maina Campos: Okay. You're on the pinky side.
- 59:37Susan Hally: Pinky Pinky
- 59:38Melissa Shere Beek: side of your left hand
- 59:39Susan Hally: wrist And that's heart seven.
- 59:41Melissa Shere Beek: Okay.
- 59:42Susan Hally: This is an amazing emotional well-being or holding? We're gonna be you could tap or hold. Okay. You can always ask. Right?
- 59:49Maina Campos: Okay.
- 59:49Susan Hally: Let's say tapping for this Okay. For this session. Right? So we'll tap that. And this is the heart seven point.
- 59:56So this just helps with, like, you know, balancing the body, helping with sadness, helping with depression, helping with erratic behaviors. So this is a great point to just support the water system. Then we have our heart, c v 17 right in the center of the chest, right in the middle.
- 1:00:16Melissa Shere Beek: Alright.
- 1:00:16Susan Hally: And this is also an emotional well-being
- 1:00:18Melissa Shere Beek: And are we tapping? We're so we're tapping the center of our chest.
- 1:00:21Susan Hally: Tapping, breathing
- 1:00:23Melissa Shere Beek: Right on the sternum.
- 1:00:24Susan Hally: And tapping on the sternum. Right? So this is c v 17, love, harmonizing, openness, vitality. Mhmm. Such a great point.
- 1:00:33Harmonizing, really just really amazing point. Yeah. And then
- 1:00:37Maina Campos: a great point for anyone that has, like, depression. Right? So remember how we talked about sadness. This is like a spirit point. This is like the deep spirit heart point.
- 1:00:47Melissa Shere Beek: Got it.
- 1:00:48Susan Hally: They call it the sea of chi points, right, in Chinese medicine. So we're poetic. Right? And then we have kidney nine, which Okay. We'll use the right side.
- 1:00:57And kidney nine is the right
- 1:00:59Melissa Shere Beek: on our right leg.
- 1:01:00Susan Hally: Right leg. Correct. Under the belly of the calf.
- 1:01:03Melissa Shere Beek: So right here. Where the nice meat is.
- 1:01:06Susan Hally: Yeah. Yeah. Right underneath that point. And it doesn't have to be exact. Right?
- 1:01:09It it works tapping?
- 1:01:11Melissa Shere Beek: Because I'm giving a nice massage.
- 1:01:12Susan Hally: I say that feels good. You can massage it. It's good for you. I'm gonna tap. So that's a tapping point.
- 1:01:17Right? And this is, like, such a great point because it boosts, you know, the blood even though we're on a kidney point. It helps with anxiety, fear, overwhelm, and it just does so many great things. Right? It's it's the kidney.
- 1:01:32So it's with the working with the waterways. So those are our three acupoints.
- 1:01:36Melissa Shere Beek: Okay. Got
- 1:01:37Susan Hally: it. And then we're gonna do an emotional sweep. Okay. So we talked about all the elements have an emotion attached to them or, you related to them, and it's fear or overwhelm or both.
- 1:01:49Melissa Shere Beek: So how do we do an emotional sweep?
- 1:01:51Susan Hally: So okay. Well, first, we'll identify, like, what am I overwhelmed about? And what am I fearful about? Right? And then we'll take a moment to to just kind of figure that out.
- 1:02:01Melissa Shere Beek: Okay.
- 1:02:02Susan Hally: And then with an emotional sweep, we use our breath, and we turn our head to the right side
- 1:02:11Maina Campos: Mhmm.
- 1:02:11Susan Hally: And we inhale from right to left through our nose, nostrils.
- 1:02:14Melissa Shere Beek: And we turn our head to the left as
- 1:02:16Susan Hally: we we turn turn to the left. And then we exhale from left to right and we release the emotion of whatever that is.
- 1:02:24Maina Campos: Nice. And then again, inhale, right to left, and exhale, left to right.
- 1:02:29Susan Hally: Great. So when we're inhaling from right to left, we're inhaling and we're bringing up the story, I am fearful of flying. And then when we're exhaling, we're releasing that emotion.
- 1:02:41Melissa Shere Beek: Right? And we're
- 1:02:42Susan Hally: we're reducing the intensity around the emotion.
- 1:02:45Melissa Shere Beek: Got it.
- 1:02:46Maina Campos: So impacting our body mind, so this will really letting it go.
- 1:02:50Susan Hally: Yes. So we're releasing and letting it go. And then the last thing that we do is we tap, like Mina would talk about. We tap into our head brain.
- 1:02:59Melissa Shere Beek: Mhmm.
- 1:03:00Susan Hally: So it's like a light tapping. We start at the forehead, which is our prefrontal cortex.
- 1:03:04Melissa Shere Beek: Both hands, both hands, we're tapping.
- 1:03:07Susan Hally: Fingers, very light tapping.
- 1:03:09Melissa Shere Beek: On our forehead, we're tapping. Tapping.
- 1:03:11Maina Campos: And then down the middle of our brain, all the
- 1:03:15Susan Hally: way top of the head, back down, like the whole head Mhmm. Thinking of it like onward tab. And there's 100 acupoints in our brain. So when you're tapping, it's like little Waking
- 1:03:27Melissa Shere Beek: things up.
- 1:03:27Susan Hally: Lighting up in our head.
- 1:03:29Maina Campos: Down through our ears, even into the ears, and then all the way down to the back of the neck.
- 1:03:35Susan Hally: Such a good Yes. Feeling.
- 1:03:36Maina Campos: And then
- 1:03:37Melissa Shere Beek: Nice.
- 1:03:38Maina Campos: Over the heart. So then you're gonna come across and you're gonna start at the center and then open out. A pan, Okay.
- 1:03:43Melissa Shere Beek: So we go from the sternum again and then across the chest to the shoulders.
- 1:03:47Susan Hally: Don't have to go out to shoulders but you can go out right here to
- 1:03:50Melissa Shere Beek: the Okay. Under the clavicle kind of
- 1:03:52Maina Campos: the implant.
- 1:03:52Susan Hally: Yeah. Under the clavicle. Right? And that's the heart brain, right? We talked about what that does.
- 1:03:57It's sending the message around the body, right?
- 1:03:59Maina Campos: We gotta get to Yeah. The now the belly, navel area. Okay.
- 1:04:03Susan Hally: A little above, a little below, a little outside the knee wall.
- 1:04:06Melissa Shere Beek: So tapping our belly,
- 1:04:07Maina Campos: tapping our belly, bringing that in.
- 1:04:09Susan Hally: Great. And then and then we'll just take a few breaths and just let's see how
- 1:04:14Melissa Shere Beek: you Right to left again?
- 1:04:15Susan Hally: Nope. No. We're not sleeping.
- 1:04:16Maina Campos: Just take a moment. Yeah. So
- 1:04:20Susan Hally: that is the water elements. So let's do the practical now.
- 1:04:24Melissa Shere Beek: Can we do it? Let's do it. Alright. Now that you know what we're doing today, buddy.
- 1:04:28Susan Hally: We had to talk you through it.
- 1:04:29Melissa Shere Beek: So let's over if you're driving?
- 1:04:31Susan Hally: Yeah. No. I would recommend this. So I'm gonna invite everyone to just Okay. Refresh your posture.
- 1:04:36Okay? Uncross your legs. Mhmm. Just take close your eyes and just take a few breaths. Okay.
- 1:04:42Just in this very calm parasympathetic state. Yes. So we have two nervous system can operate in parasympathetic, which is calm, or sympathetic, which is like frenetic and chaotic. Right? So just taking these few breaths in this moment just to, like, bring everything into a parasympathetic nervous system.
- 1:05:09Great. Once you're there and you feel it, then you can bring your hand over your brain and behind your back on your kidneys. And then take a breath here and focus on these two areas. Right? Yeah.
- 1:05:24I even see your The biggest your AV guy’s doing it with us.
- 1:05:28Melissa Shere Beek: I love it. I it. Hey. Sound engineer extraordinaire.
- 1:05:32Susan Hally: Yeah.
- 1:05:33Maina Campos: And the biggest thing here is our focus
- 1:05:35Melissa Shere Beek: Mhmm.
- 1:05:36Susan Hally: And our breath. So breathe in and breathe in like highlighting the deep reserves in the body, right, producing and storing all the substances. Reviving the will. Boosting the hormones.
- 1:05:55Maina Campos: Amazing. And now we're gonna tap on the three acupoints.
- 1:05:59Susan Hally: You take it through the points.
- 1:06:00Maina Campos: So the left hand, you're gonna come down to the crease
- 1:06:04Melissa Shere Beek: Okay.
- 1:06:05Maina Campos: Of your wrist on the pinky side, and you're just gonna do a little tapping.
- 1:06:08Melissa Shere Beek: Mhmm.
- 1:06:08Susan Hally: And breathe. Take a deep breath in. Yep. Because breathing makes the shifts and the changes in the body. Right.
- 1:06:15Yes.
- 1:06:15Melissa Shere Beek: Feel like it's opening room for that to happen. Yep.
- 1:06:18Maina Campos: Heart. K. Heart seven point, and then we're gonna go to the chest. Mhmm.
- 1:06:23Melissa Shere Beek: Back to
- 1:06:23Maina Campos: our sternum. Vessels CB 17.
- 1:06:26Susan Hally: Emotional well-being.
- 1:06:29Maina Campos: Good. Deep breath. And then we're gonna tap on the right leg underbelly of the calf. They call this point the guesthouse. Kidney 9.
- 1:06:39Susan Hally: Yeah. Nice. Good. Okay. One more time.
- 1:06:45Let's do it again. Focusing on our brain, our kidneys, breathing. So it's like a little bit of a meditation, focus, encompassing like breath, awareness. Good for kidney stones, anybody that's experiencing that.
- 1:07:09Maina Campos: And then now we're gonna go to heart seven. The crease of the key on the And then just tap on heart seven. Mhmm. Take a breath. Deep breath.
- 1:07:20Full breath cycle. Full inhale and a full exhale, and then come to CV 17 at the center of your chest.
- 1:07:35Susan Hally: And then kidney nine.
- 1:07:36Maina Campos: On the right leg, underbelly of the calf. It's on the inside of the leg. Yes. Good job.
- 1:07:47Susan Hally: Okay. Last time. Remember, we do
- 1:07:49Melissa Shere Beek: this in three times.
- 1:07:51Susan Hally: Yes. Right? Focusing on the brain kidney. And the kidneys.
- 1:08:00Maina Campos: Sometimes I feel, like, the heat moving through the body.
- 1:08:03Susan Hally: Nice. Yeah. I love that. And then we'll tap on those three acupoints. Ready?
- 1:08:09Maina Campos: Seven. Again, crease of the left wrist. Don't think you're sounding. Breath. Conception vessel 17, center of the heart.
- 1:08:25And then on the right leg, the underbelly of the calf, kidney nine.
- 1:08:35Melissa Shere Beek: Beautiful. That's nice.
- 1:08:37Susan Hally: Yes. So now we're gonna do our emotional sweep.
- 1:08:40Melissa Shere Beek: Okay.
- 1:08:40Susan Hally: Okay. Right to left. So we're gonna take a moment and identify what is overwhelming you or what you're fearful about.
- 1:08:47Maina Campos: First thing that comes to mind when we say overwhelm or fear in this moment or in any moment when you come back to this practice. Okay.
- 1:08:54Susan Hally: Turn your heads to the right.
- 1:08:56Maina Campos: Right shoulder and then inhale, sweet breath, deep breath inhale.
- 1:09:00Susan Hally: Right to left.
- 1:09:01Maina Campos: To the left shoulder and then exhale left shoulder to right shoulder. And release. Exhaling breath out. And then again, inhale. Take a full breath, deep inhale.
- 1:09:18Susan Hally: And exhale release, let go. And one more time, inhale, full breath. And Good.
- 1:09:34Melissa Shere Beek: Beautiful. So nice.
- 1:09:35Susan Hally: And now let's tap in those three areas. Right? Three brains.
- 1:09:41Maina Campos: Three axes.
- 1:09:42Melissa Shere Beek: So we're tapping the front of her head, the top of her head,
- 1:09:46Susan Hally: down to the sides of the ears.
- 1:09:48Maina Campos: Light tapping, light fingers, down to the ears, swimmer's cap. Make sure you get all areas, all acupoints
- 1:09:57Melissa Shere Beek: So we're cementing this now.
- 1:09:59Susan Hally: Of the brain.
- 1:10:00Maina Campos: We're getting the brain to wake up and become alert and aware of this new possibility for healing, for change, for balance. A new blueprint as we say. Mhmm. And then we're tapping in and changing the pattern, changing the patterns and the standing waves in our heart field.
- 1:10:17Melissa Shere Beek: So we're tapping from the sternum and then out of the chest.
- 1:10:20Susan Hally: I always say like the nipple and then in the center.
- 1:10:22Melissa Shere Beek: Got it.
- 1:10:23Susan Hally: It's like an arc line in our body. And then gut brain.
- 1:10:27Melissa Shere Beek: A
- 1:10:27Susan Hally: breath, everyone. Deep inhale. Nice long Love this. Yeah. Feels good.
- 1:10:35Right?
- 1:10:35Melissa Shere Beek: Great Risa.
- 1:10:36Susan Hally: Oh, yeah. Amazing. And then relax your hands, close your eyes,
- 1:10:41Maina Campos: and just let it integrate.
- 1:10:44Susan Hally: And notice how you feel. I always like to say soften your face, your eyes, relax your tongue. Just allow the whole body to upgrade. And when you're ready, open your eyes. And that's our reset.
- 1:11:04Melissa Shere Beek: I love this. It's such a great way to incorporate this every day just to sort of either start or end the day just as a reset.
- 1:11:12Susan Hally: That's beautiful. And we
- 1:11:13Maina Campos: have five of them,
- 1:11:14Susan Hally: actually six. We have five elemental resets, and then we have one that is called the stress mindset reset, which is also fantastic.
- 1:11:24Melissa Shere Beek: Thank So you.
- 1:11:24Susan Hally: So, yeah. So that's our our reset.

- 1:12:13Melissa Shere Beek: Okay. Let's do it. What do you waste time on?
- 1:12:18Maina Campos: Scrolling. I would have to
- 1:12:20Susan Hally: say Okay. Instagram. Okay.
- 1:12:23Melissa Shere Beek: What's your favorite word or a word that you use frequently? Love. Oh, that's a good one.
- 1:12:32Susan Hally: I use frequently. I'd have to think about that.
- 1:12:37Melissa Shere Beek: Okay. Do you have a favorite word?
- 1:12:39Susan Hally: I'll come back to you.
- 1:12:40Melissa Shere Beek: Okay. Come back to me. What is the first thing you do in the morning?
- 1:12:43Maina Campos: I drink water, which is actually something we didn't mention for, like, the self care rituals that are really, like, small but important to do daily. I think hydration is huge, which I'm glad that we did the water element. Yes. But I think talking about hydration and, like, really good quality water
- 1:13:02Melissa Shere Beek: Oh, we're
- 1:13:02Susan Hally: on the edge of Yeah. So important. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:13:04Melissa Shere Beek: Very important.
- 1:13:05Susan Hally: So the first thing I do is I actually get up very early and I meditate. I I go online, and I do the Sudarshan Kriya with the art of living. So I do breathing practices, and I meditate for an hour.
- 1:13:22Melissa Shere Beek: Beautiful. Yeah. Beautiful.
- 1:13:23Maina Campos: Before I became a mom, I did that too. Yeah. I'll get back
- 1:13:27Melissa Shere Beek: to other things you're doing in the morning that
- 1:13:28Susan Hally: are good for my hydration too. A little bit of lemon in your water helps to balance.
